We had some "surprise announcements" at the end of the SSA concert just now, and I'd like to report them here.
There were two announcements today.
First announcement was promotions to Team 4. Those promoted were:
Kato Rena
Kawaei Rina
Iwata Karen
Tano Yuuka
Takahashi Juri
The other announcement is about filling Team K and Team B's roster, one spot each:
To join Team K:
Matsui Jurina from SKE48 Team S
To join Team B:
Watanabe Miyuki from NMB48 Team N
These two new members will still perform with their respective teams, which are Team S of SKE48 and Team N of NMB48.
As AKB48 members, there is a limited time for the "rental transfer, and we would like to see them develop while working with sister groups. So please send them your warm thoughts and keep cheering for them.

I think the term that's been circulating right now is 'rental transfer'? But whether or not it means that they transfer back to their respective SKE/NMB teams, or permanently become members of AKB, I have no idea. I really hope it's the former, because like I've always said, Jurina is the heart of SKE. She's the embodiment of the group, and no one, not even Rena, can fill the gap she would leave if ever a permanent move happens. And I say all that as a Rena kami-oshi.
But really, poor Jurina. She has been overworked for all these years, and Aki-P is slowly killing her by having her perform stage songs with both Team K and Team S. :smhid

Gosh, my heart broke when I saw the photos above. I can't even imagine how shocked and heartbroken some of the SKE and NMB girls were when the announcement was first made (before further explanations were given). Just look at poor Rena crying at the thought of her Matsui partner leaving the group they've work so hard to build.
I really hope it's a short-term "rental transfer" for Jurina and Milky to gain experience in AKB and then return to their original groups to impart what they've learnt. I will definitely keep supporting these two girls no matter where they are but man, Jurina has not been in the best of health recently. What are you doing to her, Akimoto? Must he overwork the poor 15-year-old? Jurina is a very passionate and responsible worker who gives her all in whatever she does. She doesn't know how to rest and give her body a break so Akimoto should have considered that before making this decision which will only increase her already crazy workload.
I'm thinking that there's a possibility Akimoto made this move to try out new front girls formation with the younger members as most of the current front girls have already hit 20. Perhaps he will one day do a Jurina-Mayu-Milky triple center. If that works, he may decide to keep Jurina and Milky in AKB permanently.

I was thinking perhaps Jurina moving to Team K might be good for her health... As in, she'll mostly be staying in Tokyo while being in Team K instead of going back and forth so much...?

There is speculation that she'll be transferring to Tokyo for school, which would be great, seeing as how she's in normal school now, which probably puts an unbelievable amount of stress on her.

Rena was my favourite Kenkyusei member with Rina :inlove:..what a chance to see them moving to Team 4

As for Miyuki I hope she will can handle this responsability.
And for Jurina I'm worried about her health, I hope she will be in a better situation and I think we can trust Sayaka as the Team K leader she will help Jurina to being in a good situation.
Like Aki-P and TGSK said on G+ we have to continue to support them, and maybe more than ever.
The Idol need their fan during hard work time like now.

The fan reaction seems to be really negative towards this transfer. Personally I'm kinda excited... But I'm not sure if I liked the way they decided to announce this.
I just hope this turns out well and no one gets overworked.

Regarding this transfer, I have nothing positive to say about it. I don't think Milky, Jurina, or anyone in SKE48 or NMB48 have anything to learn from AKB48. They are doing just fine. There's plenty of kenkyuusei to promote. There's no need to uproot girls from other groups, or save up for yet another team in AKB48 when it will probably just end up shafted like Team 4 generally is. I don't like it and hope it's for a relatively short period of time.

I don't really have a strong opinion about this... I'll just wait and see what happens. My only worry is that Jurina might get a lot center positions in Team K and Sayaka gets pushed back even more :(

I thought the opposite would happen, with veteran AKB members guesting on other 48 groups singles. Now it's just weird.
I have both positive and negative feelings on this. But so far every step Aki-p has made through these few years, however surprising or controversial, has still been pretty successful so far. :P
Hope it'll end up with a positive impact for J, Milky and the groups.
And congrats to the Team 4 promotions. Honestly, the past few KKS are all so great. It'll be a lot of fun seeing them active in the main teams in the near future. :cow:

I was so confused when I first heard the news especially since it was right after I woke up but after I calmed down I was okay with it (though this was only after I learned it was gonna be temporary).
Anyways, now that it's slowly sinking in and the fact that I also just saw Jurina and Milky's photo up on the Team K and B roster, I suddenly don't know what I'm feeling but it can be summed up pretty well by just one word.
THIS IS SO WEIRRRRD.

It's a bit shocking news, I'm wondering about Aki-P plans...it's hard to disassociate Jurina from SKE48 and Milky from NMB48, without mentioning the possibility of overpush them with too much work.
Maybe Aki-P wants to see the fans receptivity of these changes to make future moves and team/group swaps, who knows?
Without forgetting Mariko-sama is a potential graduate candidate because of her age :S. And new faces are needed to refresh the groups...

Good morning.
Compared with yesterday when it was announced that Jurina will be holding two positions, my agitation and anxiety had calmed down a lot by daybreak. Right now, I’m mostly worried.
The instant the announcement happened, I embraced Jurina tightly not wanting her to be taking away from me/us, feeling the same, everybody rushed to form a circle around us.
Jurina too was in bewilderment , but suddenly she gently untied her hands from ours and walked forward of her own.
At that time, I didn’t hear the announcement that she would be holding two positions (because I was panicking) so I thought Jurina had made up her mind already… With that thought in mind, I watch her back getting away from us.
During the greeting that followed, of her own mouth when she said 「as Team S and Team K member」 I ascertained she was resolute.
I couldn’t talk to Jurina properly about it yet, so those are all just my own thoughts, ok?
But at any rate, now I worry for that Jurina who gives her everything when she is burdened with responsibility.
I’m convinced having Jurina joining Team K will be a + for both AKB and SKE.
But I realize that compared to the current situation, it will become even harder to manage, is she not going to collapse?
Being full of those worrying feelings, I want to hear Jurina’s feelings.
Agreement, opposition, there are many opinions on that matter I think.
Many things are still pending or there is a lot we don’t understand.
But even though, I want Jurina to know that when she will come back, I will greet her with a smile 「Welcome home」,「Thank you for coming back to us」.

I let this sink in for a day so I could form an opinion on all this :lol:
First of all, the KKS promotions:
Kato Rena: No surprise, she's been up and coming for a while now.
Kawaei Rina: I'm sorta sad they broke up the Natori/Kawaei combi, but she will do just fine.
Iwata Karen: She can sing! That's always a plus. She'll be an asset to the group for sure.
Tano Yuka: She's been quite invisible to me, so her promotion comes as a bit of a surprise
Takahashi Juri: Aw yeah! She's awesome.
Secondly, Jurina to Team K:
- If she goes to school in Tokyo I think this will work in her benefit because she'll have to travel less.
- Jurina is already in everything AKB48 related, so it won't change that much in that aspect.
- I want more of this:

From an SKE48 point of view it sorta sucks. Aki-P's idea seems to be: SKE48 is no competition to AKB48 so I'm shaking things up so they will work harder? Not sure how that will work out. I've been saying Team S/SKE48 is in need of some re-structuring. Adding J to AKB48 is definitely not what I had in mind, but it may open the door to further promotions and shuffles.
Thirdly, Milky to Team B:
- I don't get the idea behind this at all. NMB48 will be able to provide stronger competition against AKB48 with Milky in the group at all times.
- Team B is full of girls with 'sexual appeal' like Kasai and even Yuki... Milky also oozes pheromones, but so many girls like that in one group might cause friction.
- So yeah, strange idea and I don't really see how this will work out for the better. In the end, Milky might benefit from it due to the extra exposure, but as one of NMB48's aces and a regular participant in AKB48's stuff it might not add that much.
So yeah, definitely mixed feelings. It's interesting how Aki-P chose the #2 ace from each group (even though J may be the face of SKE more than Rena). Maybe there's some deep theory behind it. In the end:
- I think it will benefit the girls as individuals
- It sucks really hard for the remaining KKS. Team 8 my ass, these are two opportunities that have been stolen from them.
- I don't see how SKE and NMB will benefit from this at all
- WH7 was also "temporary" :nervous

My initial reaction: How the hell am I going to get Romajifier48 to handle a girl in two different groups/teams?
Yeah, I'm weird that way. It's probably a coping mechanism.
On the other hand, I'm thrilled that my favorite Kenkyuusei all got promoted. Though I'd rather have seen Kato Rena in Team K and Kawaei Rina in Team B.

Learning all the Team K stage in two months with such a busy schedule is truly impressive!
Jurina used to be the tallest in Team S (I think) at 163 cm, now she's like below average (since Tomomi & Yuko is not presented! XD)

I didn't feel it was too weird watching Jurina with Team K because she always appears with AKB48 anyway. Strangely, I felt this LOD focussed quite a lot on Oshima Ryouka, who got a lot of camera time, was in the centre position, and was the focus on many of the MCs. I missed Yuko a lot from this show. Anyway, to bring it back to Jurina, since this thread is about her transfer, she seemed a bit emotional at times, but I felt that during her unit song (Kiseki... the one with Sae-chan) she was dancing ahead of the other two girls so wasn't in sync.

Well, "temporary" could mean anything. Personally, I think it means at least one year.
And, unfortunately, since Jurina performed at Team K's National Tour concert,
Milky did NOT appear at Team B's. :(
