It seems there's a chance that Momochi! Yurushite Nyan ♡ Taiso will be a b-side for the single (no official source yet, this is just based on a tweet). The song was performed during the recent Berryz spring tour and makes for some nice Momo promotion.

While I'm thankful that the release of the Berryz cover has allowed me to discover P'Bird (seems an awesome artist) I don't like this song at all. Not the guy's best I might say.

^ Maybe you'll enjoy the Berryz version more. I liked their version of "Dschinghis Khan" more than the original (H!P could use some Dance Man production again). We'll see how this turns out.
It's a shame the release got pushed back; would've been nice to catch previews in New Jersey. But hey, it's a Thai song, they got the Southeast Asian style costumes going on, might as well show some love for that fanbase, especially with the upcoming partial group appearance in August! It's great to see Berryz continue to reach out to their international followers.
The lighting in those photos makes it look like Risako's hair is turning gray. :lol: She should probably stick to darker colors.

That Limited B cover bothers me...why is Yurina grouped with the girls in red when she could've easily been grouped with the others in blue like in the other covers??? XD UFA marketing be trolling us again.
I suppose I shouldn't have expected too much of a difference from the original, which seems to have been released fairly recently (whereas "Dschinghis Khan" had a 3 decade separation so a drastic change in sound quality and style was expected). I like it though, seems like it's right up Berryz Kobo's alley to take on such a crazy song.
Here's the other Bird Thongchai song, by the way...looking forward to see how the girls handle this one, especially with that choreography:

I'm disappointed that "Loving You Too Much" is unlikely to get a video...but at least the Momochi song will have one, so that should be pretty interesting!

I like this way more than I ever though I would based on the preview we heard.
Just some observations from the pv
- Captain really stands out with the hip thrusts in the choreography. Get it, Cap! :lol:
- Momo looks more mature than usual, even with that hair style. I couldn't say why but she just seems more womanly lately, and in this video especially
- Maasa should always wear royal blue, it really highlights her fair complexion and hair
Everyone looks great! I can't wait to do this song at karaoke, I bet it would be really fun.

The original Thai song has had a tendency to get stuck in my head at random times ever since I first heard it...but looks like this version will be taking over those duties now!
The video definitely has a "Dschinghis Khan" vibe going on, not just the fact that it's another foreign cover song but also the camera work. Risako's hair looks a lot better in video form than it does in still photos, though it's funny how a subtle change of lighting makes her color look so different.
I concur with Rina about Captain being fun to watch (despite being short in H!P's tallest group and her "backup singer" status she still manages to stay visible) and the karaoke potential.
I'm totally tempted to spam this ￣\_(ツ)_/￣ emoticon for the rest of the month! :P CHA CHARACHA CHA CHARARA CHA CHARACHA CHA~

They played a preview of Loving You Too Much (and Momochi's song lol) on this episode of Tsunagaru Go Go which Captain and Chi appeared on. It sounds really good so far. Can't wait for the full version.

I was just about to post that! :lol:
While I don't share elgie's same level of harsh sentiments, I kinda don't like the direction they took the song. I mean it still sounds good and all with the tropical flavor and the girls singing well, but I'm disappointed that it doesn't stick close to the same funky rhythm as the original, which would've been more interesting for both the song itself and for Berryz to handle.

No comment on the Momo PV, except to say her stretch maneuver reminds me a bit of Ayaya's similar move in "Yeah! Meccha Holiday."
I agree with the people saying the flash mob should have made its way into the proper "Cha cha SING" PV. Would have been way more awesome that way.

Hearing the whole thing, I like the song a little more now, especially with the beat switch at the rap part (though I still think the whole song would've been better with that beat) and the little reggae-style interlude. Captain can probably give Twista a run for his money with that flow of hers! XD

Yeah, I'm not feeling that as much as the A-side. I thought the rap was a little goofy, to be honest. :lol:
The single rose to #4 on the daily charts today; Mayu Watanabe was #3 with 18,473 copies sold. This means either Berryz had a very healthy second day, or there's a huge gap between Mayuyu and them. We won't know for sure until the end of the week, but either way, it's good they're charting well.

YouTuber orinchan444 has done a fantastic job (arigatou!!! ) and put the orignal Bird Thongchai MV next to Berryz with lyrics as well. Not the easiest to follow as the pitch and the pace are different in each version, but fun to watch.........

Saw the Loving You Too Much PV on tumblr and I was like Holy Crap! Captain can rap!!! Please put her in a hip hop group! Risako looks all kinds of awkward like she's constipated/about to cry/or having motion sickness cuz of all the spinning. :dizzy: It's been a long time since I've seen any Berryz videos, I think the last one I saw was the Lady Gaga-ish looking PV. :lol: I think I'll check out what °C-ute is doing now.

I actually adore Loving You Too Much, probably because I haven't heard the original. :wub:
Risako is such a hipster, with her purple hair and pouty mouth, she looks like she just stepped out of FRUITS. I gotta say, I feel like it works for her and it gives their over all look a bit of an edge.
I just can't stop listening to Loving You Too Much, it's so darn catchy! Miyabi rapping is kind of flinch worthy though...
I feel like the neon colors in this PV make it really relevant, like it really reflects the current trends in Japan, it'll hopefully have an appeal similar to Kyary's when it comes to aesthetics. :deco:

have already posted how great this song is, but two more:
1) Momoko/ Yurina duets- lovely blend of voices
2)How do you form a group with 11 to 13 year old girls, and keep them relevant 7 years later? It's not easy, in fact nearly impossible.
But Berryz have made the journey beautifully!!
