Title: [Poll] Sales Battle - Sashihara Rino vs Nogizaka46

Both Sashihara Rino and Nogizaka46 will release singles on May 2nd 2012. Which of the two will place higher on the Oricon weekly charts? Can either reach the coveted Number 1 spot?
Keep the congested release schedule for OOO48 in mind: Tomochin releases the week before, and Rino is followed by NMB, SKE, AKB, and finally Warota.

Additionally, N46's first single sold 136,309 copies, and placed second weekly.

Sashihara by a landslide. I think the sales of Sasshi's single will shock and awe us all. :thumbup It's like boykun said in this week's basugasubakuhatsu! Sasshi's gonna be like, "NAWWWWWWW TRICK!" :lol:

Plus, Ooide Shampoo isn't very good. The wota will buy it but I see it having very little public/casual fan appeal. Sorry, Nogizakans. Ya'll are cool but this release was kinda not that great.

Sasshi's cover of Ayaya is worth a boatload of sales alone. Combined with her extensive promo, I'm hard pressed to believe she won't take the #1 spot.

^Oide sounds a little too similar to Guru Guru Curtain, and continuing the 50's vibe in both song & dance don't help win me over.

N46 didn't have any AKB48 related competition with Guru Guru and they had a cool Aitakatta cover...
This time their release seems less hyped, whereas Sasshi's is pwning both in the a-side, and has the Ayaya cover...

Easy win for Sasshi  :yep:

The interesting bit will be how much both of them actually sell. Will Sasshi be able to come close to Mayu's 123K or is she still in a different league. We'll see!

Sashiko got dis in the bag. As Amp said, the Ayaya cover will pretty much seal the deal.

Plus, her idol festival thing should give her the backing from fans of other idol groups. And if it doesn't, the fact that she secured Momoiro Clover Z and physically went to their concert to do so, is damn cool in my book. And we all know, MomoClo is damn cool, ya herd.

Sashihara will win.

NGZK has no chance. At all.

Sashihara's a-side is so much better, the Ayaya cover clinches it, and then the Idol Festival is like overkill. All the fans from the groups going to the festival should throw their support for Sashihara. I don't even see how NGZK could even hope to win.

Oricon is ESTIMATING 124,000 for Sashihara Rino and 156,000 for Nogizaka46

It's all good, I don't really care either way since both Rino and N46 are awesome but it's an interesting statistic  :)
