Title: Dispute over McDonald's cheeseburgers leads to vandalism, arrests

One of two men arrested Sunday after a dispute over cheeseburgers at a local McDonald's led them to throw a brick and concrete through two windows there said he and his friend made “a stupid mistake” during a night of drinking.

While police allege 21-year-old Christopher Gayle Slate, of Madison, and 23-year-old Sean M. Mosey, of 2628 Battleground Drive damaged the McDonald’s because they were upset over an incorrect cheeseburger order, Slate told The Daily News Journal on Tuesday they were upset about how they were treated when they returned to the restaurant to get their order fixed that morning.

“It wasn’t the fact they got the order wrong that made us so upset,” Slate said, in an interview with The Daily News Journal. Instead, Slate said he and his friend got upset because they were treated disrespectfully by employees when he approached them about a problem with the order.

Employees of the 1716 South Rutherford Boulevard McDonald's restaurant contacted police around 3:15 a.m., when a piece of concrete was thrown through a drive-thru window, and brick through the front window, according to a Murfreesboro Police report.

At least two employees, including a manager, were struck by flying debris in the incident, but declined medical treatment. (http://www.dnj.com/article/20120516/NEWS/305150029/Dispute-over-McDonald-s-cheeseburgers-leads-vandalism-arrests)
