The con is months away and it looks like they're already handling her better than AnimeNEXT handled Berryz! :P Then again, it seems that AWA is a bigger con with a higher attendance record, so good for Kikka. I hope everyone (her, management, and the fans) can make the most of it!
I'm tempted to go, but after spending so much to go to New Jersey I think I need to reel in my spending until next year....my job situation is a bit unstable at the moment. :nervous

Oh cool! You live in ATL? Actually most of the Korean restaurants and karaoke places are in Duluth (where I live now, it's srsly Koreatown here) and Buford Hwy. Ugh, I'm hungry now but it's almost 5am, that's why...24 hour Korean restaurants FTW! :lol:

Yeah, I moved here a few months ago. Recently went to a good korean noodle house in Buford Hwy, and found a cool taiwanese bakery with lots of delicious taro goodies *_* Also love this place called Takorea, with a mexican-korean fusion that works surprisingly well. That's about it for my korean food experiences here so far XD

Did you go to Iron Age on Pleasant Hill Rd? That is the only place I know that plays kpop videos on a big screen and has uniformed male waiters. :lol: Another one nearby is Honey Pig where actor Daniel Henney was spotted. My sister texted me that he was in ATL somewhere and showed me the pic he tweeted and I was like "WHAT??? I'm 20 mins away from that place!" XD I wouldn't be surprised to hear about Korean stars walking around Atlanta.

Instead I got one across the street, but whatever.

Just as a FYI (since stuff can change at the last minute, multiple times), according to AWA's schedule (http://schedule.awa-con.com/event/6eb1307b26519e48cadec6d85d32b3c3), that last panel on Sunday is 1:00-2:00 in the Renaissance Grand Ballroom. There's also apparently an official (AWA listed) autograph session on Sunday from 2:30-3:30. And the first autograph session on Friday doesn't seem to be on AWA's schedule. Then again, those two autograph sessions seem to overlap with "booth appearance" in both cases; not sure what booth that is.
Her schedule from AWA's scheduling site (http://schedule.awa-con.com/speaker/youkikkawa#.UGChA1EWLMl) also includes Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

OMG, I've completely lost my entire video of the interview! My iphone reloaded a back up from my ipod touch and erased it during the process. :banghead: The funny thing is that I was trying to load that into my iphone last week but couldn't. ^Seriously, she won me over, sort of renewed my love for jpop. I mean I haven't kept up with jpop/MM/H!P since Koharu's graduation. Even when my ultimate bias Kamei Eri graduated I was like, "oh, it's that time now?" and moved on. But then, I wasn't like starstruck by Kikka but like Slack said, idols have this magic around them. You can feel this aura from her that's very genuine. Her answers from what I can remember weren't shallow or silly like from what you see on a talk show. One thing I remembered was her face when Slack said Mano Erina is his 2nd favorite after her. :lol: I hope they do form the "You and M.E." unit and give you credit for it. ;)
Well, I'm prepping for tomorrow, charging batteries, clearing space. Hopefully technology won't hate me like it always does and ruins something again. :roll:

I loved her! She was very pretty, with minimal makeup, much taller than i expected XD so sweet too, seemed very energetic to me.
It was awesome how casual everything felt. We got to their hotel room, were talking to Yaz about where Kikka and us should seat, and suddenly in comes Kikka yelling "onegai shimasu!" multiple times. I was like WUt! Didnt expect to see her so suddenly there XD

For me personally, I never really got into Kikka's music. That's the main hurdle. Especially when there is so much competition. We're in the idol wars era now, so every fan must be won over in some way or other. However! Kikka seems like an awesome person. I always enjoyed her during the Milky Way era and she seems really happy doing what she does.
I may have two chances of seeing Kikkawa in the next two months. I was undecided about whether I should go or not, but seeing how happy all of you are definitely makes me more interested. Too bad I don't have a jphip shirt. Hopefully some stickers might get her attention.

I'm not super familiar with all things Kikka, but it seemed like it's a pose she does? I dunno, but they asked us all to do it with her XD
This weekend has been so epic. Her concert yesterday was really enjoyable. I was surprised at how well she sings live. Can see how it was a good idea to make her a soloist rather than a MM member. She sang her own songs and also, as told to us in the interview the day before, she sang a couple of old H!P songs: Romantic Ukare Mode and Daite Hold on Me!!!!!!!! Those were such a good surprise for me as a fan of those older H!P times ^o^ And I got to see the Over Action Dolphin dance in person finally! XD The fans, including Slack, put all their energy into supporting Kikka!!
After the concert we met Kikka again in her booth! Got more stuff signed, FINALLY gave her the JPH!P present that Daigong sent, and took pics with her. I asked if she recognized me from the interview (since I wasn't wearing the pink wig anymore XD) and she did! XD Then gave her the present and she looked happy. We got all that on video, so you'll be able to see her happy reaction :D
Finally, took a pic with her doing the JPH!P sign together (half my hand, half hers :w00t:) and it was so cool that we just said "JPH!P sign" and she already knew how to do it! :w00t: Yay for her remembering JPH!P~!!!!!
Loved meeting her. She's super pretty, nice and energetic, so it makes you like her immediately and want to support her. I talked a while with the UFA media representative there and he was also saying how full of energy she is. I thought it was pretty amazing how she did that long performance and then immediately went to the booth and was still greeting fans with such energy and a big smile, and he said "That's Kikka!", like she's always hardworking and energetic. He thanked us for supporting Kikka and I said we will keep supporting her from now on too. Let's go support her at future events together!
Needless to say, karaoke night was super fun! I can't believe we sang for 4 hours XD Had pomegranate wine and korean rice wine, complementary korean pancakes, delicious stuff!! Thanks e-girl and her fiancee for the ride!! Can't wait for the next JPH!P meetup! :jphip:

I missed the Q&A panel today, got there late anyway and it was at the stage of the concert rather than the room it specified on the schedule a few pages back. It's ok, I only came back to buy my sisters something from the kpop booth. :lol: Well I am thoroughly exhausted from the whole weekend and I felt like I have traveled a long way (thanks to traffic I did :P) and now it's back to reality. lol I just realized something, the whole time we kept worrying about getting pics and videos, we could've just taken audio for some of that, at least mostly for the Q&A and Slack wouldn't have to worry about encoding that huge 20min video. :P Could've recorded her MC too, but yeah...next time we'll be prepared! I want to post pics/videos but didn't we sell our souls to Up Front and technically anything we took is theirs? :lol: Does that mean I have to send them my butt and legs pics too? XD

Hell yeah! Right next to the huge left speakers XD I was clicking away the whole time hence the 600+ pics I took LOL This one staff girl tapped me on my shoulder thinking I was a fan ignoring the rules until she saw my badge and was like "my bad" :lol: I wonder how many of our stuff will UF* use.

I just got home from work, the latest I've gotten out, 7:30pm. Today I thought, "Has it already been a week since we've interviewed Kikka?" :lol: Had the con been this weekend and I got out of work around this time I would've missed it for sure. *phew* :lol:

I wonder if that DVD will just be the documentary that's already been aired. Judging by the title on your post, that's probably what it is.
Since that appears to be the case, I'm actually a little more excited about being able to see Kikka Fes 3 and 4 on the first DVD.
