Hmm... promoted to GM but going to make solo debut? I think probably Aki-P did this to make her feel less burdened by that new role of GM, so as to keep her always feel spirited and determined in leading the entire 48family. Nice move there, boss.
Anyway, thanks a lot for this, Aki-P! Finally, after a long time, the leader's dream came true!
She definitely deserves it!
Looking forward to songs like Itoshisa no Accel or songs similar to that one, that's got nice upbeat.

She has been waiting for this for 7 years... others got to sing solo earlier than her, well at last.

Saki's first episode got an impressive 11.4% rating which means a LOT of people have heard Takamina's song~
Personally, I needed a moment just seeing the credits read "Takahashi Minami" without the "(AKB48)".
Since first eps usually have shortened (or missing) openings, I hope the next episode has a longer version. Also, I'm pretty sure my prediction of Jane Doe being performed as a Request Hour encore number or at Unit Matsuri is going to happen :3

I noticed that if you try to find them by searching Takahashi Minami / Minami Takahashi they aren't in the list, and they aren't in the list if you search for Jane Doe, but if you go to CDJapan's AKB48 section and click her name under the affiliated artists section it'll take you to a list with them. Weird and frustrating, hopefully they'll fix that and they'll show up the other ways soon.

However, there is something that I'm not sure about - the additional bonus item from CDJapan that depends on the type you purchase. It would seem like CDJapan is giving out three different bonuses.

ohk I'm planning on buying all three....but when I looked at the shipping prices (CD Japan) it was kind of expensive...ahaha...so I turned to HMV and it was a little less expensive...So I was just wondering if which one is better for those bonuses.... xD so yepp thanks~ :thumbsup (but wait...which one is seriously better o.o lol)

It would really depend on what you want. If you are like me and like putting your idols' posters all over your room, then HMV would be a good choice :lol: But do take note that HMV folds the poster for shipping so there will be crease lines.

If you go to MP3Juices and type in her name, all her solo songs should be there. That's what I plan to do once the single releases.

That aside, the cinematography and art direction are great - the colours, the lighting, the sets, everything! I really like how it's shot on location (or at least in realistic-looking studio sets) instead of using a CG background that is so common nowadays. Also love the use of many extras for a more epic feel. Feels like I'm watching scenes out of a Hollywood movie. Our Souchan deserves nothing less!
I'm not really digging Takamina in that red dress as it makes her look stumpy but damn, that black thief getup is absolutely gorgeous! :inlove: Plus, she looks so adorably tiny among the crowd (though I don't think that was the intended effect :lol:).
"Jane Doe" is right up my alley in terms of musical appeal. Emotional rock is one of my favourite types of music and Takamina's deeper and heartfelt vocals meld perfectly with the melody. It's decided - I'm going to buy this single!

It appears that you are right. As I was about to place my order with HMV just now, I noticed the info on the bonuses has been updated. Did a check over at CDJapan and discovered that they've updated their info too. Here's what I found out:
CDJapan
First press bonus: A flyer
External bonus 1: CDJapan exclusive store photo
External bonus 2: One of the following depending on which type you purchase. Type A: poster (neatly rolled). Type B: clear folder. Type C: sticker sheet.
HMV
First press bonus: One of the following depending on which type you purchase. Type A: poster (folded for shipment). Type B: clear folder. Type C: sticker sheet.
Bonus photo: HMV exclusive store photo
*HMV doesn't state anywhere that it gives out a flyer.
Basically, the bonuses from both stores are the same except that CDJapan gives out an additional flyer and the designs of the exclusive store photos are different. Oh, and CDJapan rolls Type A's poster for shipment while HMV folds it.
All bonuses are still available on both CDJapan and HMV so it isn't too late if anyone wants to cancel/change their orders.

Performance on Music Station was so disappointing.
I don't particularly like the song in the first place, but the performance was really bad. Takamina's not the best live singer, but she sounded really nervous. Doesn't help that the song doesn't lend itself well to nerves, I suppose. And it's really weird to see her go all Moritaka Chisato with the mic stand, she just doesn't fit it. At least on Music Fair they let her walk around with the mic and work the micstand.

I do agree with you that the performance wasn't all good(particularly because Takamina sounded like her throat was really tired and sore.) But, I still like her live performances. Especially with cool songs like this.

On May 6, AKB48’s Takahashi Minami held her solo live concert at Pacifico Yokohama Kokuritsu Dai-Hall in front of an excited audience of 4,000.
This special live was held for those who purchased Takahashi’s solo debut single “Jane Doe” (released on April 3), and the 4,000 fans were chosen among the 50,000 applicants.
This also marked her first solo hall live. Usually, she shows her overwhelming leadership when she is in the group as the general director of the whole AKB group, but today she seemed quite nervous.
After she performed two songs, she said, “I feel like crying already. I’m really happy to be able to hold my first solo concert at such a wonderful place like this“, and continued, “I feel nervous-! When I’m nervous my fingers start going numb.”
She then performed, Maeda Atsuko’s cover song “Migikata“, and large tears rolled down her cheeks.
Takahashi, who has had a dream to become a solo singer since she was little, told the audience, “I’m glad to see little kids here. The first concert I visited when I was little, was at the Budokan, and it gave me a dream. I will be happy if I could do so for the kids here today.”
