i'm challenging myself again to write an ongoing AU story, and somehow this happens to be something i've been thinking for a long time
finally got guts to type it out and post it here :nervous
anyway, please do tell me what do you think about this story, as i'm still an author-in-training.. comments or suggestions or even critics are very welcomed :twothumbs
about the characters, i already have some plannings and they would be revealed as the story goes on. so please stay tuned! :D

THE INFINITY SAGA
Prologue
It’s late at night, somewhere in a dark alley of the city.
She is on her way home, slightly nervous of the suddenly intimidating aura that emitted from the dark street in front of her, she quickened her pace slightly mumbling some self-encouragement that sounded like “it’s okay, home is in a few blocks from here..” and “nothing’s gonna happen, you’ve crossed this alley for god-knows how many times already..” while clutching her bag tighter.
“mou, I shouldn’t stay too long chatting with Akicha..” unable to calm her thumping heart and failed to kick the anxiousness away, she start to feel her body let out streams of cold sweats.
“And to think I have to choose an apartment with this alley as the only access to go through, the hell I was thinking back then..” She silently cursed.
“a few meters and we’re outta here..” She whispered again to herself in slight relieve, but much to her dismay, she caught a glimpse of few men sitting around the end of the alley, already looking at her with hungry eyes.
“ah.. Look at this fine lady— Konbawa, ojou-chan” The burly man with scar on his cheek walked toward her with a wicked grin.
‘oh crap..’
She just stood there, feet glued to the asphalt. She's so scared she could feel her heart pumped her blood vessels so fast her head start to spin.
“Why don’t you come join us for a drink, eh?” He asked her again, arms spread ready to engulf her in his muscles, or in a deadly embrace how she would like to call it.
“D-don’t touch me!” She managed to stutter out, but only receive howls of laughter from him and his other companions.
“Why so jumpy, ojou-chan? I promise it'll be my treat~ and I’ll be gentle—” as soon as he’s done talking, she swung her bag wildly, successfully hit his head knocking him down to the ground.
The laughter died.
“BITCH! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!” enraged, the burly man lunged forward and grabbed her shirt then yanked it sending buttons flying everywhere. Shocked, she fell down with arms desperately covering her body from being exposed to feed those hungry eyes and about to scream before the guy took out a knife from his pocket and pinned her to the ground.
“Go ahead and try letting out any noise, you’ll be no better than dead meat, bitch…” he hissed and there she saw his wicked smile again. She whimpered as she saw his companion now surrounding her, some held her hands, another covered her mouth and the rest are busy unbuckle their belts.
Tears fall freely from her eyes, streaming down her red cheeks as how the humiliating scene unfolds, her blurry eyes managed to see the burly guy’s free hands are now reaching for her cleavage and she squeezed her eyes shut, mentally preparing herself for anything that’ll come.
But she can never feel his hand touching her.
And the knife?
It never came.
Instead, she could feel soft breeze blew her face as now the hands on her mouth and arms are all gone.
And a pair of tantalizing blue orbs staring right through her eyes.
Before she know it, a black robe wrapped around her exposed body make her broke the eye contact, and she couldn’t help but clutching on it with her dear life. She heard sounds of blows, punches, ear-piercing screams and some more smashing, unable to handle the violent sounds, she squeezed her eyes shut.
And then everything went silent again.
She carefully opened her eyes, found the figure who stands with the back facing her. The head turned into her direction.
And their eyes met again.
As stupid and cheesy as it may seems, she couldn’t move an inch from her current position and her breath got caught on her throat. She just sits and ogles there with her mouth closing and opening like a goldfish while the figure approached her again. But because of the high neck jacket and the hood AND the hat, she couldn’t manage to register her savior’s face into her brain. Only the stunning electric blue eyes, and the short messy hair.
The figure squatted in front of her, leaned forward and she swears she could feel cold breeze on her ear when the figure whispered.
“Finally I found you…”
She noted that the voice is too high-pitched for a guy.
‘But no way this person is a girl!’ she argued inside her brain, but soon all the arguments got thrown to the wind and her eyes fluttered closed again when the voice rang for the second time on her ear.
“Let’s meet again...”
And when she finally opened her eyes, she felt the cold night breeze as the figure has disappeared.

firstly, i'm sorry if the pairings are not what you expected them to be since i've already planned them long time ago
but i still appreciate every comments and i'm very thankful for you guys who find this fic interesting :bow:
and as i told you on the prologue, the characters are going to be revealed as the story goes and some more characters other than the pairings i've decided are still developing in my mind.
so any character suggestion would always go into my consideration <3 :cow:
without further ado, i present you chapter 1! :D

Chapter 1
Yuki stared blankly to the plain scenery outside her classroom, everyone knows it as it's just her daily routine of spacing out during lunch break after she finished her meal, but somehow, today she looks dopier as her lunchbox left untouched and lunch break is ending in ten minutes.
And for sure, Akicha isn't really the type that would bother Yuki or any other friends with her questions, she'll usually shrugged it off or that person would open up to her by themselves, but just for today she's unusually nosy as Yuki seemed really out of shape.
"Hey, you okay?"
No answer.
"... Yukirin?"
And more silence, this surprised Akicha as the latter never ignored her before. She decided to poke Yuki's arm just in case she's not possessed or passed out unknowingly.
"Oi, Yukirin?"
"Hmm— ehh..? Oh, Akicha.."
"Wow took you a while to finally respond to me, what's wrong? You looked unusually... Dumb."
"Hey!" Offended, Yuki raised her hand ready to smack the insulting friend of her.
"Hahaha, I’m sorry. But seriously... Are you okay?"
"Hmm, I'm pretty much fine... Lacking some sleep I guess.."
"Really? My, you should just tell me you want to go home earlier yesterday.. Your house is pretty far from the karaoke club we went to yesterday"
Hearing the word ‘yesterday’ made Yuki's blood ran cold and her frozen state somehow reactivated.
She's assaulted, almost. Or worse, killed yesterday by some ugly yankees, and someone saved her from her distress but mysteriously disappeared before she could even thanked her. And to be honest, Yuki still not sure if her savior is a he or a she.
Yuki could vividly heard Akicha keeps on rambling, but every words coming out from her just sounds so blurry Yuki couldn't register anything in her brain, seems like Akicha's words bouncing away the moment it reached her ears. Strangely, she could only register a voice, a voice that she longed to hear again somehow.
"Let's meet again..."
And her words keeps on replaying inside her head, again and again and again like broken records until Akicha's fingers-snapping brought her senses back.
"Jeez, you seriously okay? I think you should tell sensei to let you go home earlier so you could rest."
"Hmm.. You think so?"
"See? That's what I'm talking about, I swear you looked like you've been drugged! Let's go find sensei." Akicha stood up and now tugging on Yuki's sleeve, forcing the latter to follow her.
Yuki thinks maybe she really need to sleep it off.
Soon, Yuki arrived at her apartment, not before spending a good twenty minutes standing on the same spot she encountered her savior last night staring into the empty alley. She threw her bag to the floor and let her body fell on her bed, not even bother to change her uniform she closed her eyes as she slowly drifted to sleep.
The moment Yuki opened her eyes, it’s already past 6 PM and her room would be in complete darkness if the curtained window beside her desk isn't uncovered. After a moment of weird-posed stretching and countless yawning, Yuki dragged herself with her seems-to-be-heavier-feet to the front of the window, planning to close the window and curtains until all of a sudden her eyes met the way to familiar pair of blue orbs staring back at her. In normal state, she would scream her heads off and do something to protect herself such as pushing the figure off of her window or throwing random things inside her room such as her boots or her huge yukidaruma plushie, not giving a shit even if her apartment is on the 7th floor.
But strange enough, she didn’t even let a squeak out.
Or, more likely that she doesn’t want to.
“So you live here…” The figure let out a short speech, oh that voice she longed to hear again...
And as a response, Yuki could only nod dumbly.
“Alone?”
Another nod.
“But you're a highschool student, aren't you?”
And more nods.
“No parents or siblings?”
This time, the head shook.
And another painful silence as both of them engaged into a staring contest, Yuki got so mesmerized staring into the blue orbs of her savior’s eyes until the latter broke the contact, suddenly jumped into her room. As surprising as it is, Yuki didn't even complain. Not even when the girl still wear her sneakers, or for a more reasonable statement, the one who just jumped into her room from the window is a pure stranger.
“A-ano.. thank you for s-saving me last night and.. eto—w-wait, I don’t even know your n-name..” Yuki stuttered, half nervous and half embarrassed over her messy bedroom. The person in question just turned her head toward her and smiled for the first time Yuki ever see.
'Kakkoi....'
“Sae, Miyazawa Sae. And what yours might be?”
“K-Ka-Kashiwagi Yuki...” and as soon as she finished her short introduction, the girl called Sae knelled down and lifted her hand to brought it to her lips, kissing it gently. At the same moment, Yuki feels like her body floats into the air as her head feels so awfully dizzy due to all the bloods pumped into her brain.
“Kashiwagi Yuki... I finally found my mate...” The kneeling girl in front of Yuki whispered as the mesmerizing blue eyes pierces deep into her own eyes.
And deep into her heart.

Chapter 2
As soon as Sae finished her little confession, or that’s how Yuki took it as, Yuki stammered and pulled her hands from Sae’s hold, she backed away as far as she could until the back of her calves knocked against the side of her bed, successfully tripped her down on her back. And as if she’s possessed, Sae leapt from her kneeling position into on top of Yuki’s already vulnerable position.
“W-wait! What are you doing?!” Yuki flails her arms to get rid of the girl on top of her with no avail. And instead, Sae grabbed her wrists and pinned her down, preventing her to move.
“I need to proof something, now please excuse me…” Sae whispered on Yuki’s ear before giving her lobe a kiss, knocked Yuki out in one punch. Feeling the girl beneath her stop resisting, Sae closed her eyes letting her instinct drives her body. Sae’s face travels downwards and stopped on Yuki’s neck, her nose caught Yuki’s scent and it intoxicates her making her crave for more.
“Why you smell so… Addicting…” Sae mumbled again on Yuki’s neck, breathing in deeply and exhaled in something you would describe as pure ecstasy. While on the other hand, Yuki could only squeeze her eyes shut and pursed lips tightly, busy praying for God’s mercy on anything that would happen to her right at the moment as she suddenly can’t scream for help.
The sniffing stopped and the head shifted from her neck, Yuki opened her eyes slowly only to see the stunningly beautiful eyes again. But this time, they’re only mere centimeters apart from hers and Yuki silently wishing that the face getting closer to her is only her imagination.
Unfortunately, it’s not an imagination.
And Yuki have to close her eyes again, silently cursed herself for being so stupid to give in so easily to a stranger, but when Yuki feel soft breath on her face she quickly turned her face aside in reflect, earning a soft poke on her chubby cheek coming from Sae’s nose. The soft nose turned into warm lips as Sae pecked Yuki’s cheek. Then the lips roamed south to her jaw, trailing down to her neck again and stayed there for a few moments until Sae suddenly grunted then released Yuki’s wrists and sat up, staring at the still laying figure beneath.
“… Your face, it’s so red…”
“……”
“… How… Do you feel…?” Sae asked panting, her face is not any better than Yuki’s red one as if her body is in fire, her vampire heart beating hard and fast against her ribcage and she wonders if Yuki feels the same.
“… It’s hot…” Yuki breathlessly replied with blush colored her face, and Sae’s just stay quiet like she just got slapped on the face.
Flashback
Takahashi Mansion, deep in the forest located outer part of the city.
Dining room.
Two young women are having something that looked like late lunch, but the difference is both only got a cup of thick red liquid as main course. The ‘lunch’ went on with quiet atmosphere, but something is kinda off, at least odd enough for one of them.
“Hmm… What’s with the unusually happy aura?”
“… Nothing…”
“Oh, don’t tell me you already found your mate now? Finally! It’s about time, Sae.”
“Shut up…”
“Come on, I mean… I mated Mocchi almost a year ago, and to think we’re supposed to be in a same grade—”
“Don’t think so high of yourself, Sayaka. We ARE in a same grade, it’s just that my mate is harder to find than yours.”
“Now now… Stop sulking at me, it’s not that she’s hard to find but it’s you who didn’t seek her careful enough. But I think now that you’ve already hit the jackpot, you should focus on claiming your prize as soon as possible.”
“I know, jeez… Don’t worry.”
“I am not, but Takamina does. You’re the only one pure-blood without a mate in this house, even half-blood like Tomochin already got two inugami as pets making her strength is now comparable with you… And do I have to explain again the difference between a pure-blood who has a destined mate and another who doesn’t?”
“I know… Pure-bloods destined to have mates are stronger and blah-blahs. You should tell Takamina that she could just sit down, and mind her own business.”
“Whatever sails your boat, Sae… But don’t you dare using that kind of tone in front of Takamina if you don’t want her to disable your vampire abilities. I’m leaving, talk to you later.”
“Yeah, sure…”
As soon as Sayaka left the room, Sae slumped down on the dining chair and pinched the bridge of her nose. She didn’t mean to be snappy though, Sayaka just found a perfect timing to poke her hard on the sore spot.
“It’s not like I don’t want to be stronger… Why don’t you understand?”
Sae stared at the mansion’s high ceilings, her mind drifted into the past when she stepped her foot into this mansion for the first time, right after Takamina turned her into a pure-blood vampire—no, scratch that. Takamina saved her from death, literally.
Flashback (on a Flashback)
Sae and Takamina are used to be partners in ghoul-hunting activity they’ve dedicated themselves into, protecting the used-to-be-village or what they call as city nowadays, risking their lives every day to battle against the evil ghouls without being paid and being heroes among the villagers. Everything seems so lively until one day, something big changed their lives.
That one cold winter day, Sae running late due to heavy blizzard, at the time she arrived to their main base, she got information from her underling that Takamina went alone to hunt down an unknown monster that appeared near the village. Worry washed through her and before she knows it, she’s already running with all her might to seek for her missing partner. Only to find her dearest partner already became a lifeless body on a bloody snow, with a girl hovering on top of her rigid body.
Aware of Sae’s presence, the girl stared back at Sae with her blue eyes and smiled. She lifted Takamina and disappeared leaving a shocked Sae in the blizzard.
And ever since, everything began…
Staring from Takamina’s comeback as a new-infected monster, and Sae as a hunter got new mission to hunt her down and extinct her. But as it always is, things are easier said than done.
They finally met in a same blizzard night, same place, and same time. Only this time, instead of herself, it’s the monster girl who’s now Takamina’s partner. A fierce battle between two friends is inevitable, but '2 versus 1' is already a good explanation of whose victory it is. In no time, Sae is already sprawled on the cold snowy ground bleeding profusely, slowly dying until Takamina leaned closer to her and whispered something she could barely catch up. an apology, something about transforming her into a new form, and another chance to start anew.
She could only remember one thing Takamina whispered to her though.
“We’ll be stronger than ever…”
And after that, she remembered the pain as Takamina bite her on the neck and not too long after that another pain that feels like mad fire explodes inside her blood vessels and deep to her bones. It hurts so much it feels like it’s killing her all over again, if she’s not yet dead.
And the next thing she knows, she woke up turned into the way she is today. With Takamina, welcoming her beside the bed she’s laying on.
“We’re starting a new era, and nothing’s gonna stop us. Not those ghouls, not even human.”
End of flashback (on a Flashback)
Sae do aware of the difference between vampires who got a support, a mate, as they would like to call those people who “destined” to be their partner by being a blood supply volunteer, compared to some vampires who don’t.
Some vampires like her, who still needs time either to find their mate, or just don’t have a mate “destined” for them.
“And you call them ‘destined’ for you even though the fact is they’re only immune to your vampire virus…”
“Of course they’re the destined one, if not, how would you like to explain of how they won’t turn into vampire the moment you sunk your fangs on their skin?” The sudden voice caught Sae off guard she fell from the chair she’s been leaning on for a while, the culprit only laughed.
“Ta-Takamina! What the hell!”
“Sorry, just wondering what makes you so grumpy these days, and I found out it’s about your mate.”
“Yeah sure, how do you expect me to react when you actually have that weird feeling toward someone but you still not sure if she’s your mate or not..”
“Why don’t you go and find out about it?”
“… And how am I supposed to do that?”
“Well, first of all… You could always tell from their uniquely intoxicating scent. Use your instinct for goodness’ sake! And if scent isn’t enough…”
Takamina leaned in to whisper something into Sae’s ear and smirked as Sae look at her with disbelieve painted all over her face.
“You don’t tell me I have to—”
“Well, who knows? The ‘destined’ one won’t feel cold from our touches, but instead, they’ll feel our hotness.” Takamina grinned slyly.
“But really, how do you know that?” Sae asks dumbfounded.
“Easy enough… You do aware about how we vampires got this low body temperature right?”
Sae nodded.
“Yet Atsuko said she feel so warm and fuzzy every time we touched,” Takamina grinned and walked away as she waved her hand. “Good luck, Sae-chan!”
“But… but I thought Acchan is the one who turned you into vampire..?” Sae questioned as she stare at Takamina’s walking back, the small figure turned her head and smiled.
“That’s for me to keep, and for you to find out.”
End of Flashback
Sae get off the bed and stand there looking at the still busy catching breath Yuki, slowly sitting up.
“You know what? Under normal circumstances, I would love to grab my boots and slam it on your head by now… 'But I wonder why I still hesitate…'” Yuki started but letting the last part left unsaid, arms crossed in front of her body like she’s trying to cover every bit of skin that is showing.
“I’m terribly sorry about that, but thanks to you I found my answer.”
“… And what is it you’re looking for?”
“You.”
“… Me?”
“My mate.”
“What the— Mate? What do you mean by your mate?” Yukirin’s huge eyes bulged out in shock. ‘what are we? Animals?’ she thought.
“umm… now how should I put this… It’s a long story I don't know how to start... But I can take you to Takamina and let her explain everything to—”
“Excuse me? Who is Takamina? And, no! you’re not taking me anywhere!” unable to swallow the entire new information Yuki is now in panic, the girl she used to think as her cool savior is now looked like a psycho-kidnapper to her.
“Hard to convince huh…” Sae mumbled as she walked closer to Yuki, who’s backing away slightly. Sae took Yuki’s hand and lifted it to her lips kissing it affectionately from the back of her hand to her palm, and her fingers, one by one. Yuki can’t help but blushing beet red over the gentle attention and she keeps wondering how come her body went rigid the moment Sae touched her. And when Sae placed Yuki’s hand on her cheek gently nuzzling it, Yuki feel something tugged inside her heart.
“I could tell it from your scent… My body responses to you,” Sae said, now staring right into Yuki's eyes "and now I know you feel hot from my touches instead of cold."
Sae pulled away and stood up, walking toward the window and turned her head to the girl who still sitting on the bed, staring at her questioningly.
“We’ll meet again, Kashiwagi Yuki… And next time, I’ll make sure to explain everything…” then in a blink of eye, she’s gone. Leaving cold breeze grazes against Yuki’s skin.
And somehow, Yuki feels colder and lonelier than ever.

Second, I like how the story flow but idk why I think that flashback on flashback (?) should be on the beginning of the next chapter instead. But yeah that's just my own liking maybe. Lol
I have a lot of question actually but I think I will wait for the next chapter first.

i'm not too fond of vampire themed fics but i have hope in this one because it reminds me a lot of saeyuki's kagekidan infinity
that story ends abruptly and the journey from the beginning is not too exciting
but this one has a lot of characters, i hope, and so i'm expecting a lot of details in the plot plus i like the way you write

Chapter 3
It’s in the middle of class that time and Akicha couldn’t help but keeps on turning her head toward the seat on her left worriedly, Yuki’s seat. The said girl is busy staring off into space, again.
“…………gi…”
“………wagi…”
“KASHIWAGI YUKI!” the teacher roared out loud, startling the busy dazing girl.
“H-hai?!” due to the shock, Yuki leapt up from her sitting position and stands straight. The whole classroom filled with laughter in instant and realizing she’s embarrassing herself, Yuki scurried herself to sit down and tried blocking every amused look with the curtains made of her hair.
“Keep spacing out on my class and you’ll know what happen next” the teacher scolded her while pointing toward the door, hinting that he’ll kick her out the class if she happen to do the same mistake.
Yuki could only nod her head and some snickering still could be heard as the class continues.

“But seriously, I can’t help but laugh seeing your expression that time!” Akicha cackled as both of them walked out the school and Yuki had to pinch her friend’s arm to make her stop embarrassing her more than she already is.
“Shut up! Mou…”
“Itai! But you have no idea how priceless your expression is… hahahaha!”
“Jeez… go laugh until your lungs explodes then, I’m going home.”
“Aww stop sulking, black marimokkori-san~” Akicha pinched Yuki’s cheeks and the latter squealed, trying to chase away the offending hand off of her face with her swatting hands. Their bickering continues until Yuki’s leg hit something, kicked it away slightly.
“Hey, watch it! It’s my pet you’re kicking!” a grumpy scolding rang on Yuki’s ears and she turned her head to see a girl shorter than her holding two leashes in one hand and another one on her hips.
“Ah—I’m so sorry!” Yuki quickly bowed and squatted down patting the now shocked puppy she just kicked.
“aww… I’m sorry, I didn’t meant to kick you—”
“Buraun.” The girl blurted nonchalantly.
“… Pardon me?” Yuki questioned dumbly.
“That’s the puppy’s name.”
“Oh…” Yuki made a huge ‘O’ with her mouth and back to the little puppy in front of her. “Hey, Buraun… I’m sorry, okay~” she patted the brown puppy’s head and starts tickling it until it barked happily with its tail wagging around.
“Looks like she already like you.” The puppy owner said with a smile, Yuki swears she could see a huge fang peeked out from the girl’s lips and for all the loves of watermelons, Yuki is one hundred percent sure she’s not hallucinating.
“Uh, yeah I think so…” She replied awkwardly, looking at Akicha whose busy playing with the puppies. “Hey, Akicha…”
“They are so cuuuuute!” Akicha lifted the white puppy and hugged it, almost squeezing it. The owner lifted her eyebrow and faked a cough which made Akicha let the puppy down and smiled sheepishly.
“Ehehe… I’m sorry, um…”
“Tomomi, Itano Tomomi. But I think Tomo is fine,” The girl said smiling again.
“My name is Takajo Aki, you can call me Akicha!” Akicha beamed and slapped Yuki’s shoulder as the latter is now the being busy playing with the Buraun.
“Eh? Ah—I’m Kashiwagi Yuki… Nice to meet you, Itano-san” Yuki stood up and bowed to Tomo, who suddenly went silent. Yuki feel uneasy with the piercing stare and the awkward silent, decided to ask.
“Um… Is something the matter, Itano-san?”
“No, nothing… I just think Buraun likes you so much she wanna go home with you.” Tomo chuckled, Yuki looked down and saw the brown puppy looked at her with its puppy eyes and wagging tail, tongue sticking out and paw poking at her shoe.
“Aww~ why are you so cute~” Yuki squealed and squatted down again to pet the puppy, “but you’re a good kid right? Good kid must go home with your master~” she cooed again and scratched the back of Buraun’s ears.
“You could take her home if you want to,” Tomo suddenly blurted out, Yuki stared at her incredulously.
“N-no it’s okay, she’s your pet I wouldn’t dare to—”
“Hmm… It’s a request actually, I’m having a tight schedule and I’m afraid I couldn’t take a good care of them… and since this kid won’t be good without me being around,” Tomo said as she squatted down ruffling the white puppy’s head. “I think it would be awesome if you could help me taking care of Buraun. More to say, I’ve never seen Buraun so attached to someone else before, so I think it’s perfect… and I live near here, so you could always send her back to me if you find her annoying or something” Tomo added or more like ended the bargaining for good, she’s looking at Buraun as the little puppy also stared at her master.
“… I swear they look like they’re having telepathic communication or something” Akicha suddenly whispered, Yuki looked at her as if she grown two more heads, mouthed “what are you talking about” and swatted her away.
“Well, Itano-san… I would love to help if that’s the case.” Yuki said turning around and smiled at the shorter girl.
“Thanks a lot, Kashiwagi-san. That’s such a huge favor, I owe you one” Tomo grinned and handed the brown leather leash to Yuki, but before Yuki could even touch the leash Tomo pulled the leash into different directions, Yuki looked at the puppy following innocently to wherever the leash pulled into earning fits of giggles from the girls.
“oh my, Buraun why are you so stupidly cute…” Tomo laughed but interrupted by loud barking from the white puppy.
“Aww, she feels neglected…” Akicha giggled, Tomo smiled and picked the white puppy from the ground and hugged it as if it’s a puppy plushie.
“Hey Whaitto you naughty kid, don’t get jealous” Tomo cooed and blew air into Whaitto’s face made it scrunched its face, surprised of the sudden contact.
“See, Whaitto is the cutest~” She giggles.
“Yukirin, Yukirin…” Akicha poked Yuki’s arm trying to get the girl’s attention, and once she did she make a gesture pointing her inexistence wristwatch trying to give a hint it’s getting late, and Yuki get the point as she too, realize the sky is getting darker.
“Umm… I think I should get going now, Itano-san… It’s getting late,” Yuki sheepishly said, Tomo just nodded simply and start to walk away.
“Oh right, here’s my number and do call me if you need some help with taking care of Buraun… But she eats almost everything though so I don’t think it’ll be a trouble if you feed her with anything.” The puppy owner giggled.
“Well, that would be convenient…” Yuki laughed and they bid their goodbyes as they part ways to their respective home.

Sae whistles random song while walking down the stairs then seeing Tomo came home with Whaitto, realized something is missing Sae raised one of her eyebrow and Tomo didn’t fail to caught the questioning look.
“Something bothers you?” Tomo asked nonchalantly, her lips curved into a playful smile and Sae didn’t quite get what is in the mischievous girl’s mind.
“Hm… Nothing, where’s Buraun? I thought you just take those inugami for a walk…”
“Well I do, and Buraun seems like found a more suitable master than I am.”
“What are you talking about? I thought those two are like… your power?”
“They do have another role as my sidekick besides of being my pet, but yeah in the end they’re the one chooses their own masters.”
“And to whom you gave Buraun? Did that person even know they’re taking an inugami home?”
“I’m sure this Kashiwagi Yuki girl know how to handle an inugami, hell she already got a pure-blooded raided her room and gone all the way on her.” Tomo chuckled and winked as she walked to her room, and Sae just stand there like someone had just slapped her with a frying pan after she heard the name brought up.
“Wait, why you leave Buraun to Yuki?”
“Don’t you understand that I’m trying to help you stalk your prey?”
“You what?”
“Oh, don’t you worry, lover-boy. I have a feeling Buraun would try to run away from me again anyway… And I think before she escaped and bumped into random people, I would rather have her around Kashiwagi just in case. And I could always ask this little fella to help you gather Yuki’s personal information from Buraun, which sounds like killing two birds with one stone right?” Tomo said again and make a pointing gesture toward Whaitto. Sae’s expression turned awkward like she badly needs to take a toilet break.
“… What is it you’re planning?”
“Not really, more like… Being more careful about your mate’s surrounding. God knows if she got a hunter as a friend, you’ll be screwed dude…”
“Makes sense… Thanks Tomo—”
“You do know it comes with a price, right?” Tomo cuts off Sae’s words smiling slyly.
“… What do you want?”
“So, I’ve wanted to try this thing called ‘manicure’ on a nail salon but unfortunately my money can’t afford it, so…”
“Damn, feels like I’m doing an illegal transaction with you…” Sae grumbled as she reached for her wallet on her pocket and before she could debate on how much she should give the sly girl, Tomo took all her cash and Sae could only stand there frozen, only flinched a little as she sees the smug grin on Tomo’s face widened.
“Thanks Sae-chan~ you’re the best!” Tomo laughed and walked away toward her room.
“That’s a whole lot of money! You better give me every fucking detail about Yuki or I swear imma screw your nails and yeah you gonna regret it!” Sae grumbled and only receive Whaitto’s barking as a response.
“Shut up kid, I’m not talking with ya but yo masta’ over there who just robbed me.” Sae scolded the white puppy who keeps on barking.
“Hey she loves me, period. And just so you know, yankee-talking didn’t suit your personality, Sae-chan. Trust me. It sucks.” Tomo laughed again before closing her room’s door shut.

Yuki’s apartment
“Soooo~ welcome to your new house!” Yuki chirped happily as she took of her shoes and walked inside the room, the brown puppy seemed pretty happy and start running around as far as she could until the leash killed her joyful moment.
“No no no no, you’re not doing that here okay? Good kid won’t act like a wild animal!” Yuki scolded the puppy and it sits down as soon as hearing Yuki’s raised voice, Yuki swear she feels as if the puppy understands her words and amazed by her small discovery, she decided to try something.
“Buraun, lie down!”
The puppy lies down on its stomach.
“Buraun, roll over!”
The puppy rolls over, and Yuki stared at it with a very amused expression.
“… Lets see if you could do this… Buraun, BANG!” Yuki make a shooting gesture with her hand and the puppy closes its eyes and stuck out its tongue as if playing dead.
“Oh my! I wonder how you could understand that!” Yuki laughed and walked toward the fridge trying to find something for a reward, she found only a pack of chocolate she bought last week and watermelons. She looked back at the sitting puppy behind her.
“Hmm… Are dogs allowed to eat chocolates?” Yuki mumbled to herself as she took the small pack of chocolate and walked toward the couch and sat on it as the puppy followed her but ended up sitting on the floor since it’s too tall to jump over, Yuki opened the small pack and plopped one chocolate into her mouth as her eyes wanders between the sitting puppy and the chocolate pack and wonder if she should ask Akicha for advice.
“But Itano-san said Buraun eats everything, right…?” Yuki wondered out loud as she picked another small piece of chocolate, and suddenly her cell-phone rang.
It’s from an unknown number.
Debating if she should answer it or just reject the call, she ended up pressing “answer”
“… Moshi-moshi?”
“Good evening, Kashiwagi-san.”
“Hai… Who is this?”
“Pizza delivery service, maam.”
“Ehh?? But I didn’t—”
“Naaantene~”
“………………”
“Hahahaha, this is Oshima Yuko speaking!”
“Yuko-chan!” Yuki can’t help but laughed, the cheery jokester girl never ceased to amuse her with her endless pranks and uncommon sense of humor.
“Hey, are you free tonight? We’re having a sleepover party~”
“Sleepover party?”
“Yep! Nyannyan and everyone are coming, so I want you to come too!”
“Hm… Fine with me though, but… can I bring a puppy?”
“Huh? Since when do you start liking animals? The last thing I remember about it is when you cried when I flashed you a living rabbit…”
“Mou! That’s three years ago!”
“But I’m surprised you actually got rid of the phobia so quickly, hahaha”
“So can I bring her?”
“Of course! So it’s a baby girl?”
“… Well you could say it like that……”
“Okay, come over before dinner okay! See you soon, Yukirin~ *smooch*”
And the line went dead before Yuki could even answer.
“Why she always do that to me…” Yuki pouted to the empty room and walked into her bedroom for packing, the thought of feeding the brown puppy a piece of chocolate already thrown out the window, she tied the leash on the doorknob and start getting absorbed into her packing. From cute pajamas, t-shirts, shorts, long pants until sexy undergarments are all scattered on her bed.
“Should I just bring these? Wait, no… this one is better—wait this one is cute!” Yuki got excited by herself as the little puppy helplessly sits on the floor and stare at her new master. After a painful hour, finally Yuki’s done with her packing and walked out the room, bringing Buraun with her.
“Umm… I’m sorry about earlier, but let’s go find something to eat for you at Yuko’s place, since she loves animals I think she’ll give you something delicious!” Yuki told the brown puppy that perked its ears on the mention of food, wagging its tail happily.

Chapter 4
The joyful atmosphere filled the living room as a group of girls gathered busy chatting and laughing.
“And you know what she said after that? ‘SCREW YOU OLD LADY!’ and then she—”
Ding dong~
“It must be Yukirin! Let me get her…” Yuko leapt toward the door and opened it revealing Yuki with her bag and a leash that connected to a little puppy.
“Yukiriiiiiinn~!” Yuko immediately clings on Yuki’s arm dragging her inside the room, giving the little puppy a short glance and then quickly brings a wide-eyed Yuki inside the room. There’s a lot of girls inside the house, much more than how Yuki think it would be.
“Wow, it sure is a huge sleepover party…”
“Yep, you only know Nyannyan right? I called you to join so I could introduce you to my entire crew!” Yuko beamed happily as Yuki raised her eyebrows.
“Crew?”
“Yep!”
“Don’t tell me… The Hunter crew you’ve been telling me about since a few months ago?”
“Yep! And in addition, Nyannyan also got her gang strengthened!”
“What?”
“She got some assistants for her research!”
“Oh, that kind of explains why your house is so crowded tonight.” Yuki chuckled and Yuko pried her bag that hangs loosely on her arm and pulled her along to the crowded living room.
“MINNA! We got a new companion, NOW KIDS! ASSEMBLE~!” Yuko shouted and everyone left what they’re doing at the moment then gathered in front of Yuko and Yuki.
“… Wow, Yuko you make an awesome captain…”
“Baby, I know~” Yuko whispered and turned her attention toward the girls in front of her.
“Minna, this is my friend, Yukirin!”
“Ah—Kashiwagi Yuki desu, but you all can call me Yukirin like Yuko-chan do.”
“Kojima Haruna desu, call me Nyannyan—”
“But Nyannyan, Yukirin already know you…”
“I know, I just get caught in the mood.” Haruna laughed, elbowed the girl standing beside her softly, indirectly telling her to start her own introduction.
“Eh—AH— Fu-Furukawa Airi desu—and you can call me Airi, or—”
“Airin!” The girl beside Airi interrupted and smiled kinda too affectionately toward the now blushing red girl, she turned her head again to Yuki. “Matsui Rena desu, you can just call me Rena. And both of us are Haruna-san’s assistant.” The girl named Rena bowed and smiled warmly.
“Kizaki Yuria desu, I’m also Haruna-san’s assistant” The chubby girl beside Rena smiled and bowed to Yuki.
“Yagami Kumi desu! Just call me Kuumin!”
“Matsui Jurina desu, a part of Yuko’s hunter crew.” The feisty-looking girl next to Yuria introduced herself but Yuki didn’t quite get why she keeps on eyeing Buraun.
“Takayanagi Akane desu, but just call me Churi. I’m also in the Haruna-san’s team” The girl next to Jurina grinned then pinched Jurina’s arm, “Stop that.”
“Ouch! Stop what?”
“Staring at the puppy like you want to eat it, you scared it.” Churi hissed and Jurina pouted.
“Ck, okay okay…”
“Nice to meet you, minna-san!” Yuki bowed and after a small chit-chat Yuko shooed everyone go, “Time for cooking dinner! Go go go! And Yukirin, you can put your bag in my room.”
“Yeah, thanks Yuko-chan—”
“And don’t ever think to help us cooking dinner, scratch that. Don’t even come close to the kitchen! Hahaha~”
“Mou!” Yuko laughed and ran away escaping Yuki’s swatting hands.
The dinner went smoothly and even Buraun got her own portion of dinner made by Yuko. After dinner, Jurina asked Yuki’s permission to take Buraun for a quick walk outside as she claimed that she likes puppies, and Yuki couldn’t reject as Jurina’s strong glare kind of knocked her guts off. After Jurina left with Churi, Yuki later find herself chatting with Yuko and the rest of the gang while eating watermelons.
“Oh crap, we’re out of watermelons now because Yukirin’s here.” Yuko joked and Yuki have to hit Yuko’s arm before the girl embarrass her further.
“Itai! Nyannyan, Yuki hits meeeee~”
“It’s your own fault, why you’re telling that me anyway”
“Mou, why Nyannyan’s so tsuntsun to me…” Yuko said faking a sob and collected plates that scattered on the table.
“No, wait Yuu-chan, let Mayuyu do that for you.”
“What? Mayuyu? Who is that?”
“Mayuyu~ come over here~”
And suddenly a girl with twin-pigtails come out from nowhere, yeah she just appeared like a magic. Yuko yelped and Yuki choked on her watermelon.
“W-what—what?”
*coughing*
“This is Mayuyu, Mayuyu say hi!”
“Konnichiwa, Watanabe Mayu desu.”
“Where did you get her from?”
*wheezing*
“What do you mean ‘get’… I MADE her.” Haruna said, emphasizing her “I” and “MADE” which make Yuko raised her eyebrows.
“You don’t mean—”
“Mayuyu is a cyborg, Yuu-chan. It’s not anything you think she is.”
“…… How could you know what I’m thinking?”
“Let’s just say the power of love?” Haruna giggled and shoved Yuko who pounced at her playfully.
“Now Mayuyu, please take care of the plates—and please bring some water for Yukirin, oh my god I almost forgot you!” Yuko panicked, patting Yuki’s back as Mayuyu handed her a glass of water.
“… Well, isn’t it fast…” Yuko said in amazement as she now looking at Mayuyu head-to-toe in curiosity. Mayuyu’s expression only stayed still though.
“Ne, Mayuyu… Oshiri!” Yuko lifted her hand forming a “C” and held it out in front of Mayuyu who just stared at it blankly.
“… Oshiri.” Mayuyu followed suit and Yuko grinned, sticks their thumbs together and enthusiastically said “OSHIRI!”
“Oshiri.” Mayuyu copied Yuko.
“Call me Oshiriko, I’ll call you Shiriri!”
“Oshiriko.”
“Shiriri!”
“Oshiriko.”
“Oshiri!”
And Mayuyu held her hand for Yuko to connect, forming an “oshiri”
And that’s how team Oshiri formed. (no, i'm just kidding.)
“Yuu-chan, what the hell! Don’t teach her weird things!” Haruna protested. And Yuko only laughed, patting "Shiriri"'s butt.

Few blocks away from Yuko’s house.
“You can show your real form now, Buraun-san.” Jurina stopped on her track and throw the leash on the ground startling Churi who walked beside her.
“What are you doing, Jurina! What if she runs away?”
“She’s not a mere dog, and I’m sure Yuko-san already realized it.”
“What?”
“Look.”
At the time Churi turned her head toward the puppy, it’s already gone. There’s only a girl who looked like a boy with short messy brown hair in an outfit dominated with brown color, wearing a similar necklace like the puppy has.
“What the—who are you?!” Churi shrieked, Jurina stepped forward and stopped in front of Churi as if protecting her.
“Well well, what do we have here? An inugami… What brings you here?” Jurina said as she’s ready in her fighting stance.
“Whoa, a feisty werewolf aren’t you?” The brown haired girl took out glasses from the inside of her jacket pocket and put it on.
“Explain yourself then.”
“No offense, I’m just happened to be a brown puppy brought along by my master to her friend’s house.” The girl said again with a sly smile.
“Lies, where are you from? What do you want?”
“Well, nothing. Nothing from the two of you, just want to warn you about making a scene though… it’ll turn ugly if somehow Yuki-san finds out you beat up her puppy.”
“You think that’s convincing, huh… Who’s your real master?!” Jurina raised her voice, and soon as the question shot out from Jurina’s mouth, strong wind blows around them.
“Oh why, that would be me, wolf-kid.” A husky whisper could be heard from their behind, Churi turned her head and almost screamed her lungs out as another girl magically showed up mere inches from her face. Jurina taken aback with the sudden interruption and reflectively throw a punch toward the interrupter, suddenly sensing a huge danger.
“Heh, nice move.” The husky voice turned out into a girl with a long, wavy hair and when the girl smiled, the huge fang peeked out from her lips. Beside her, another short-haired girl in a white-dominated outfit standing with a blank expression.
“Who are you?!” Jurina snapped, her form slowly turning into wolf as her tail and ears are already popped out, might due to the startling stunt the fang-girl pulled on her.
“Itano Tomomi, not really nice to meet you. This is Whaitto, and the other one over there is Buraun.”
“What do you want?”
“Just as simple as not to touch my pet.”
“Ju-Ju-Jurina, who—what are they?” Churi asked with her shaky voice, hands gripping tightly on Jurina’s shirt.
“Inugami, and a vampire, i assume…”
“Oh my god!”
‘This is bad, I can’t fight with Churi clutching on my shirt here…’
“Churi! Hold on tight!”
Jurina then swooped Churi on her back, lifted her piggyback-style and as if knowing what Jurina’s going to do, Churi clung her life on Jurina who ran in an inhuman speed then jumped toward Tomo, fist ready to knock her. But it never reached Tomo’s smiling face because Whaitto suddenly appeared, blocking Jurina’s fist with her hands. Whaitto shoved the offending fist away getting ready on her fighting stance until Tomo’s hand on her shoulder distracted her.
“No, Whaitto. We’re not here to fight her.” Tomo shot a dirty look at Jurina who still has Churi clinging on her back, then went to Buraun and whispered something to her and the latter just smiled and gave Tomo a slight nod.
“Hey wolf-kid, you better take this puppy back to her ‘master’ before she gets worried.” Tomo added again and her hand goes to Whaitto’s clenched fist, tugged on it a little.
“Let’s go, Whaitto.”
And the inugami turned into a white puppy, following her master leaving the now silent street.
“… So… What now, werewolf-san?” Buraun broke the silence and Jurina glared at her menacingly.
“Hey, no hard feelings… I haven’t even done anything to you, let’s just return to Yuko-san’s house in peace…”
Jurina said nothing and let Churi down on her own feet, she took the leash on the ground and throw it to Buraun who caught it in time before it slapped her head, she took off her glasses then put it inside her jacket pocket and hooked her necklace on the leash before shape-shifting into a puppy and ran toward Jurina and Churi.

“Ta-tadaima…” Churi greeted awkwardly to the people inside the house, everyone turned their head to Churi realizing the girl looked kind of sick but as the girl smiled it off, they didn’t mind it. Yuko is the only one realizing something is off from the two usually-cheerful-and-genki girls, Jurina is awfully quiet.
“Something happened?”
“Nothing, I think Churi is just tired.” Jurina answered shortly.
“Well then, I guess it’s time to sleep, minna~” Yuko clapped her hands and the girls scurried into the huge bedroom Yuko prepared.
“And for you, you could just sleep on the mat…” Jurina hissed to Buraun who just stare at her with her puppy eyes and Jurina swear she could feel Buraun’s making mocking faces to her from those puppy eyes. And as if on cue, Yuki looked at her new pet and she got an idea.
“Yuko-chan… Can Buraun sleep with me?”
“Uhh… I don’t really mind about that, but you sure?”
“Yep, I don’t know why but I just can’t let her sleep alone outside the room…”
“Fine then.” Yuko smiled.
“Ah, I need to go to the toilet… Yuko-chan please hold this for a while…” Yuki handed Yuko Buraun’s leash and as soon as Yuki entered the bathroom, Yuko crouched in front of the puppy.
“Listen, I know you could understand me. I don’t know what you’re planning to do, but I do know something happened to Jurina and Churi. If you’re trying to mess around, you’ve chosen a very wrong place and time.”
The puppy only barked and waved its tail.
“Good to hear.”
And not too long after her speech, Yuki reappeared from inside the bathroom, took Buraun’s leash and they entered the bedroom giggling all the way while preparing themselves to sleep.

Oshima Residence
2:25 AM
Yuki meet her again, the blue eyed-girl who captured her heart the moment they gazed into hers. She approached her with opened arms, and as if they’re magnets, Yuki feel her body responded automatically to her calling gesture and they shared an embrace.
It’s so warm, and it stirred her inside with a desire, Yuki just want to hug her and stay like that forever if it’s possible.
Her face turned to Yuki, there she goes with her mesmerizing eyes, Yuki thought. Yuki felt the two arms that wrapped around her waist moved away, the hands caressed her body and Yuki shivered in delight. Yuki closed her eyes feeling like she’s in cloud-nine, but not long it feels slightly weird. The moment Yuki opened her eyes, the smooth hands turned hairy and covered with brown fur and one of them lifted to her face slightly poking it.
And as if the surprise ends there, the face came so close to hers Yuki could feel her breath, Yuki closed her eyes again and feel the wet tongue brushed against her cheek and that snapped her out.
Yuki opened her eyes and found everything gone, her heart thief has gone, only a brown puppy poking her with its paw and licked her face.
“… Buraun…? What is it…” Yuki mumbled sleepily, half disappointed her pet just ruined the best dream she ever had and the culprit only let out a puppy whine as an answer.
“Hm? Do you hungry?” The puppy keeps whining.
“You want to poop?” This time, a bark.
“Shh! Shh!! Okay okay let’s go out, but don’t be noisy!” Yuki whispered to the puppy and took the brown leash and hooked it on Buraun’s necklace then walked out the room.
Outside the house
“There you go, don’t take too long okay? It’s cold…”
*barks*
“Hm? Yukirin?”
“Huh?”
“Hey, this is amusing… How come you’re here at this time?”
“Itano-san! What a surprise! I’m doing a sleepover at my friend’s house and just in time, Buraun needs to poop…”
“Hahaha, let me guess… She wakes you up?”
“Yes…”
“Well, just the same thing as this kid. She does that all the time, she just won’t let me sleep…” Tomo laughed, pointing to the Whaitto that now busy playing with Buraun.
“It’s been a while, Yuki…”
That familiar voice startled Yuki, at the time she turned her head to the voice, her eyes bulged out from their sockets, her throat went dry and she just gaped there like a dying fish.
“Wow, I never know you could make someone reacts like this, Sae-chan…” Tomo giggled as Sae smiled and walked closer to Yuki who seems petrified and has turned into stone.
“Yuki…? Yuki you okay?”
“S-Sae…”

“Pffft, that's a cheap lie.” Tomo snickered and Sae shot a glare to the now laughing girl.
“Say, Yuki, are you… Busy?”
“… Uh… No—”
“Sae-chan, that’s lame. Who the hell has business at this hour? You must be either crazy or stupid.”
“Shut up, Tomochin.” Sae frowned and Yuki can’t help but giggled, Sae heard it and immediately blushed.
“Now if you may excuse us~” Tomo said with a sing-song voice and took Buraun’s leash from Yuki’s hand then tugged Whaitto’s as the walked away. Unfortunately, not so far from where they were standing as Tomo saw a pair of fierce eyes on them.
“Stop right there, vampires. And might as well… Inugami-tachi… What a pleasant surprise…”
It’s Oshima Yuko, and her hunter gang.

First, i'm terribly sorry for the long wait...
i'm actually got a pretty hectic schedule on hand with my college and jobs, and few days ago i just got my dislocated wrist treated, so i find it hard to type for a few days... :kneelbow:

Chapter 5
“Well, isn’t it the feisty wolf-kid from earlier?” Tomo smirked and Jurina flinched at the mocking tone Tomo’s using.
“… So she’s the one you bumped on earlier?” Yuko asked and Jurina just nodded.
“No wonder I feel something off from that puppy… it turned out she’s an inugami!” Kuumin groaned, Airi just stand there looking confused and shocked while Rena just stand there with a blank expression.
“No wonder you’re so snappy… Did you forgot about immediately tell me if something happened?”
“… I’m sorry, Yuko-san.”
“Well well, if you hunters might excuse us… We would like to escort the ‘princess’ back to the house she’s supposed to be.” Tomo said, “Or… We might need to do it with a little bit of violence…” She added, as she could sense the intimidating aura coming from Yuko and the werewolves. With a snap of fingers, the puppies had turned into their human-inugami form.
“You’re not going anywhere if it’s with Yukirin.” Yuko said sternly, but much to her dismay the couple behind Tomo just seem like they didn’t know what happened. Tomo turned her head and called Sae,
“Oi, Sae-chan, you're done wooing your girl yet?”
“… Seems like things will get ugly…” Sae groaned as she could feel the bad aura emitted from the current situation.
“B-but… What happened...? Why Yuko-chan and Itano-san looked like they’re going to tear each others’ heads off…?”
“Come with me, and I’ll explain everything to you.” Sae said as she held both of Yuki’s hands.
“Yukirin! They are vampires!! Don’t listen to any of them!” Yuko screamed, Yuki turned her head and blinked dumbly.
“Tch… As if Sae-chan’s virus would do anything to her…” Tomo scoffed, Yuko raised an eyebrow hearing this.
“Wait, don’t tell me—”
“Yup, Kashiwagi-chan over there is Sae’s mate, zannen.” Sayaka suddenly butted into the conversation, startling everyone. Meanwhile Sayaka’s mate, Mocchi, could be seen near Yuki and Sae busy talking and then they ran away taking Yuki with them.
“WHAT!?” Startled by both the sudden revelation and Sayaka’s unpredicted appearance, Yuko slipped a yelp.
“Oh, it’s you Gori-san…” Tomo smirked and Sayaka replied with a grin.
“So, what now, hunters?” Sayaka taunted.
“Tsk… Mari-chan won’t be pleased to hear this…” Yuko snarled and dashed toward Sae, going straight to the point of problem.
“Yuu-chan?!” Haruna yelped in surprise. “Crap! I still can't let Mayuyu handle the fight since I haven't tested her in fighting mode before…” she added as she slapped her forehead.
“Not that fast, Oshima-san…” Sayaka blocked Yuko’s way and blow a punch toward the small girl who dodged it just in time, Sayaka’s fist kissed the pavement cracking them and Yuko rolled on the ground, suddenly shape-shifted into a cheetah.
“Oshima Yuko, the shape-shifter… Tsk, we got a pretty problematic opponent here…” Sayaka smirked while Tomo already dashed passed her chasing the cheetah, but a few shadows distracted her as her instinct told her to stop and duck, which she did and rewarded with two werewolves that almost pounced on her body, now blocking her path. Tomo raised an eyebrow then simply flicked her hair and snapped her fingers, soon, two inugami in huge dogs form jumped and attacked the werewolves.
“Wait! Oh my god, are they even sober enough to realize that we’re in the middle of residential area?!” Rena said frustrated with both hands on her head, she then quickly turned to Airi.
“Airin!”
“Understood, Rena-san.”
Then Airi sprinted forward turning into a huge fox and chased Yuko, she flashed across the fighting werewolves and inugami then ran with all her might to catch up with the cheetah.
“Yuko-san! Don’t! We can’t risk getting ourselves exposed here!” Airi howled and that seems to make the cheetah pulled her emergency brake and stopped chasing the escaping vampire.
“Shit!” Yuko turned back into her human form and cursed. Airi then soon reached her position and also turned back into human form.
“Tch, they escaped…”
“Yuko-san, I guess we should warn Jurina and Kumi, they’re still caught in a fight with those inugami.”
“Right, come on let’s head back.” Airi nodded and turned into her fox form and Yuko hopped on her back.
Meanwhile…
“Jurina! Kumi! Stop!” Rena tried her best to gain the werewolves’ attention, Yuria is also there occasionally screamed out “Kuu-chan! Jurina-chan! Stop it!” only to be ignored by the werewolves.
“Heh, is that all you got, puppies?” Jurina taunted and jumped toward Buraun, only to get a head butt on her back from Whaitto sending her flying a few meters and slammed hard onto the lamp-post made her poofed back into her human form. Shocked, Kumi angrily jumped and about to counter-attack the aggressor when the brown inugami suddenly turned into human form and ran fast toward the fallen Jurina.
“Hey! Not that fast, puppy!” Kumi growled and jumped back with her claws ready to tear some flesh off, the brown inugami jumped away from the attack and Kumi took the chance to aid Jurina.
“Hey, Jurina! Man, are you okay?!”
“I’m okay…” Jurina grunted as she stands up, she could feel her ribs clacking as they heals and clutched on her shirt. The inugami are standing not too far in front of them, seems ready to launch an attack, Kumi is readying herself beside Jurina anticipating any kind of movement from those two, but nothing came out for a few moments and later, strong wind blows around them as it seems like they got two more guests to join the party.
“Well well, how was that, wolf-kid?” Tomo’s snickering voice broke the silence, and the inugami quickly returned to their master’s side, Sayaka is also there, arms crossed. And just in time, both Yuko and Airi who already turned into human form finally reached Jurina and Kumi’s side.
“Let’s go back, we can’t risk our identity here…” Yuko whispered and Kumi quickly returned into her human form as well.
“Heh, afraid of getting busted now, aren’t we…” Tomo mocked. “Now if you guys may excuse us. Kids, let's go.” Tomo added with a smirk and in a godly-speed, she’s already far behind them, escaping with her inugami tailing behind, Sayaka however, still stand there looking at Yuko with a frown on her face.
“Where’s Shinoda?”
“It’s none of your concern.”
“It’s been years, Yuko.”
“…………”
“And to think we used to be allies until that incident occurred and destroyed everything…” Sayaka hissed.
“You don’t have to bring that back now, Sayaka.” Yuko frowned and Sayaka sighed. “Just… Go away.”
“Yuko-san?” Kumi blurted in disbelief as Jurina and Airin only stare blankly at their leader.
“Go away before I change my mind.” Yuko whispered again, fists clenched tigh. Seeing this, Sayaka sighed again as she left the now silent street. Then a few moments after that Rena, Yuria and Haruna arrived.
“Yuu-chan! Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine…” Yuko let out a weak smile, Haruna slightly saw the escaping figure and she immediately know what ticked Yuko off, she then reached out to Yuko and hugged the small girl as the rest of the girls could only stare and wonder what was that all about.
“Let’s go back home—”
“No, Nyannyan… We need to find a new place.”
“Yuu-chan..?”
“We need to settle this with those vampires before they get even stronger, and I’m worried about Yukirin.” Haruna saw Yuko bit her lower lip and sighed. She knows nothing stops Yuko’s decision when she’s serious about it.
“… I got it, but lets just go back for now and think about it tomorrow… Please? Everyone look pretty shocked, and I think some are exhausted. Besides, we owe them some explanations…”
“… I guess so…”
And the hunter gang returned to their home.

Sae, Yuki and Mocchi arrived at Takahashi mansion, Yuki can’t help but be awed over the hugeness of the mansion. More to say, it’s in the middle of a deep forest, woods and trees everywhere and she would like to assume she’s in the middle of nowhere now.
“How come there’s such a mansion built here…” Yuki blurted out in awe, Sae turned her head to Yuki and silently laughed. But once her eyes caught the whole glimpse of Yuki, she couldn’t help but become enchanted again by her beauty.
‘More like how come there’s someone as real as you are…’ Sae thought.
And of course, Mocchi didn’t fail to see Sae’s in-love expression, smiled and decided to leave the two alone, she quietly walked away until loud noise could be heard from behind of them, startling the three figures.
“Hey what did I say about ‘wait for me’?!” Sayaka grumbled as she dusted some leaves and dirts from her pants and shirt.
“You took too much of my precious time. I want to hurry and go home so I can sleep earlier, which part of that you don't understand?”
“And there you go with your mood-swings… Jeez, you should go eat some sugar to lessen the bitterness on your tone.”
“And what’s your freakin’ problem, gori-chan?” Tomo walked away and flicked her hair as the puppies ran alongside her, but as they walked across Sae and Yuki, Buraun stopped and wagged her tail in front of them.
“Buraun!” Yuki squatted down and patted her head, “So you guys are actually lived here all together?”
“Well, duh.” Tomo rolled her eyes and walked passed the couple and Sae sweat-dropped hearing Tomo’s snappy retort. As Whaitto ran along following its master, Buraun didn’t go and just sit there looking at Yuki.
“Heh, told you inugami chooses their own masters.” Tomo smiled to Sae, who just shot her with an amused expression.
“Well, well… Why don’t we all go inside now? I’m pretty sure Yuki-chan is tired.” Mocchi smiled as she wrapped her arms around Sayaka’s.
“What is it you’re suggesting, Mocchi?” Sayaka grinned playfully, Mocchi just give her a displeased look and let go of her arm, giving it a slap and walked away.
“What’s wrong with you, I just feel like grabbing your triceps and you just have to spoil the mood…”
“Awww, I thought you suggested something else—”
“Like exactly what?” Mocchi looked at Sayaka from her shoulder with a seductive smile pasted on her face, a final blow for Sayaka’s self-composure limit. And as the temptress Mocchi walked into the mansion, the gorilla only jaw-dropped.
“Uh… I think she’s drooling…” Yuki said uneasily.
“Let her be, she's always like that when it comes to Mocchi. Come on let’s go inside, I want you to meet Takamina.” Sae smiled and offered her hand which Yuki gladly took, the couple then walked inside the huge mansion.

Inside Takahashi Mansion
Yuki and Sae walked inside the dining room after decided to leave Sayaka ogles alone outside, they passed through the huge living room with a grand marble-stairs and saw Tomo upstairs walking toward her room and quickly closed the door leaving a wailing Whaitto locked outside, Tomo opened the door again clicked her tongue and muttered something like “why you're such a slowpoke” and shut the door closed after she let the puppy in.
After watched the short scene, Sae guided Yuki until they are now in front of a huge and sturdy-looking door. Sae opened the door and Yuki could see two girls sitting inside, one in a chair with her fingers clamped on each other, and another girl sitting on the table with her legs crossed.
“I’ve been expecting you, Kashiwagi.” One of the girl stood up, and Yuki can’t contain her surprised expression seeing how short the girl is. The other girl just snickered, Sae sighed and walked toward the two girls.
“Stop that, we’re not in action movies or something…”
“Why you have to spoil my cool moment?”
“Jeez, Takamina… That’s more like disgusting than cool.”
“Oh shut up.”
“Anyway, let me introduce you to, uh... 'my-soon-to-be-mate?' Kashiwagi Yuki—” and all of a sudden, the girl beside Takamina moved in a godly-speed and now stands face-to-face with Yuki staring straight into her eyes. The poor girl instinctively widened her eyes and squeaked in surprise, startling everyone.
“A-Atsuko?! What’s wrong?” Takamina hurriedly jogged to the girl’s side and grabbed her arm, Atsuko just keep on staring deeply into Yuki’s eyes as if reading Yuki's mind until Sae stepped in between them, totally blocking Yuki from Atsuko.
“Acchan, is something wrong?” Sae said calmly, but already in her stance. Atsuko looked at Sae and just smiled.
“Ruka, you finally found Maria.”
“… Huh?”
“It couldn’t be wrong, I know those eyes. Maria’s eyes.” Atsuko said again, Takamina gave Sae a puzzled expression and Yuki just stands there as if she’s been cursed with a frozen cast.
“… Ruka…”
“Eh?” Sae startled by the quiet voice, turned her head to the girl behind her, and there she found Yuki staring deep into her eyes.
Yuki’s eyes are pitch black, and for some unknown reason, Sae is mesmerized instead of freaked out. It feels like Yuki's eyes are glowing, but she's not sure what is it. Atsuko smirked again and dragged Takamina away with her.
“W-wait, Atsuko? What—”
“It’s reminiscing time for Ruka and Maria, we shouldn’t disturb them.” Atsuko cut Takamina’s words off and winked, Takamina only blinked a few times and looked back at the couple that engaged into a staring-battle and decided to follow Atsuko’s persistence dragging.

Chapter 6
Takamina still didn’t know where Atsuko dragged her to, and later realized that Atsuko actually walked her to the kitchen, Atsuko then peeked from behind the door and Takamina can’t help but followed suit.
The two girls are still standing in front of each other, eyes still gazing into each other as if engaging in staring contest and no one make any kind of movement until Yuki’s hand suddenly raised and touched Sae’s face.
“Ruka…”
And as if stunned with an electric shock, Sae flinched slightly, eyes widened. It feels weird, like some ancient memories suddenly flooded her brain and it is currently trying to make things clearer for her. And the only things she could register are herself, and the girl in front of her in different time and place.
It’s Ruka, and Maria.
250 years of waiting in loneliness.
A stake that ends everything.
A blue rose.
Sae suddenly flinched and grabbed her head, groaning in pain. Streams of memories flooded her brain.
Flashback
“Maria… Maria…” She called her long-lost-lover’s name as she wrapped the girl in her embrace.
“Ruka…”
“Maria… You are my everything… Without you, I can’t say that I truly live… Even when I can’t give you an eternal life, we will still be forever—”
“Forever together…” Maria cut her words as she’s already struggling with her teary eyes, they stayed like that looking into each others’ eyes and Ruka reached to Maria again, gave her a loving embrace and savoring the moment while it lasts.
Just for a short sweet moment, until Ruka felt the sharp pain from the stake that penetrated her back, she gasped in pain and immediately knocked the hunters down with all her might before they fully eliminated her in front of Maria.
As for Maria, as soon as she heard a gasp coming from Ruka, Ruka just disappeared from her eyes. Only to reappear, already sprawled on the floor half-dying.
“Ruka!” Maria lifted Ruka’s limp body and held her close.
“…You don’t need to worry…”
“Ruka… What can I do now?” Maria pleaded in tears, seeing Ruka like this slowly kills her from the inside. She can’t lose her true love. Not now.
Not when her lover already wait for a painful 250 years just for her.
“Just… Just stay by my side is enough…” Ruka cupped Maria’s face and forced a smile.
“… I will… I will always be by your side…” Maria is now crying, her tears are overflowing she can’t even control them anymore.
“… Thank you…” Ruka smiled as she collapsed again, Maria cried out in panic as she could see Ruka’s figure slowly fades.
“Ruka?! Ruka!! I don’t want you to die!”
Ruka coughed and wheezed, shaking on the floor as she feel the energy slowly leaving her body and with all her might, tried to keep her eyes opened.
“… I am… Immortal…”
Maria saw the blood patch on Ruka’s chest and shook her head then hugged Ruka tightly.
“… No… No way…” Maria sobbed as she remembered what Ruka once told her, “… Once a vampire is stabbed by silver stake… They will be born again as a human…”
Squirming in Maria’s embrace, Ruka held her Maria’s hand and smiled as tears already flowing freely from her eyes.
“Finally… I can finally become a human… Just like you…”
Hearing this, Maria’s heart broken and shattered into thousand pieces.
“Ruka, bite me! Bite me one more time… This time is my turn, I will be searching for you! Searching for our love…”
The vampire in her arms didn’t respond, Maria’s shaking lips called her name again and again but the vampire stays still, eyes closed.
Maria wailed in misery, calling Ruka’s name for countless time.
But Ruka has gone. She vanished, turned into dust.
Leaving a blue rose in Maria’s hands.
And as if her mind and soul has been sucked into a black hole, Maria’s shaking hand blindly reached for the silver stake.
And she stabbed herself, right on the heart.
End of Flasback
“W-what was that?” Sae panted as she sat down on the chair, Yuki grabbed her hand.
“Ruka… Do you remember me?” Yuki cupped Sae’s face in her hands, her eyes are pitch black and smile plastered on her already wet in tears face.
“Maria…” Sae whispered back, she cupped Yuki’s hands and closed her eyes, savoring the long-lost warmth.
And behind the door, Atsuko smirked. Takamina didn’t miss the view and a huge question mark popped out from her head, Atsuko turned her head to the petite girl beside her and smiled.
“We should go and throw a welcome party for the comeback of the strongest vampire pairing.”
“Huh?”
“Let’s go.” Atsuko tugged on Takamina’s hand and walked to the hugging pair, who sensed the intruders and turned their attention toward the other couple.
“Welcome back… Ruka, Maria…”
Sae turned her head and smiled.
“It’s now SaeYuki for you.”

Takahashi Mansion
Dining Room
It’s dinner time. Or it’s supposed to be one, despite the fact there are only glasses filled with thick red liquid - and maybe a set of bento for her and the inugami - then some bowls of fruits, which Yuki think might be a fake one made from styrofoam.
The dining room filled with few more faces Yuki has never seen before. Well, except for Sayaka and Asuka, Tomomi and the inugami, Takamina and Atsuko, and of course Sae herself. Soon, Takamina stood up from her seat in the middle of the dining table gaining everyone’s attention.
“Everyone, I would like to introduce a new family member.”
Takamina then nodded toward Sae, who smiled and turned her head to Yuki, holding her hand which Yuki took within seconds. Sae realized Yuki’s eyes turned back into the usual brown orbs, means the Maria inside her already goes back into her deep sleep.
“Everyone, please welcome my mate, Kashiwagi Yuki.”
She turned to her right to see Sae’s calm expression, unconsciously tightened her grip on Sae’s hand, the latter just simply smiled at her, mouthing “introduce yourself.” And Yuki had to muster her guts to finally open her mouth despite of being in the middle of intimidating stares.
“Ka-Kashiwagi Yuki… desu…”
Yuki’s voice turned out even more timid than she think it might be, the huge room turned into a complete silence until a chortle broke the tense atmosphere.
“Hahahaha, why are you so tense, Yuki-chan?” The culprit beamed with a grin, she stands up “I am Masuda Yuka, you can call me Yuka.” She said as she beamed Yuki with a pretty smile.
“Stop that, Takoyaki-kun,” Another girl with curly hair laughed and slapped Yuka’s arm. “Hi, I’m Umeda Ayaka, but you can call me Ume-chan.” She grinned.
“Kasai Tomomi, but just call me chiyuu~” the girl sat across Yuka said in a cute manner, the other Tomomi that seated beside her rolled her eyes in annoyance.
“Okay, I think that’s everyone..?” Sayaka said as she looked at the people to double-check. “Oh, some of them went hunting a few moments ago.” Asuka interrupted.
“They could be introduced later then. So… Welcome to the family, Kashiwagi-san.” Takamina smiled and as in cue, the family showered Yuki with warm smiles and grins.
“Th-thank you…” Yuki stuttered as she averted her gaze to meet Sae’s smiling face and felt Sae squeezes her hand softly, she felt like something tugged on her heartstring and for a reason and another, she likes it.
And with a confident smile, she looked at everyone in the big room and lastly at Sae.
“Thank you very much… From now on, please take care of me.”

Rose Garden
Takahashi Mansion
Sae and Yuki decided to walk around the garden after the small welcoming party. Or more like Sae decided to escape the unstoppable rain of teasings from Sayaka, Ayaka and Yuka.
After a few minutes of random walking with both of them looking toward different directions, now Sae and Yuki realized they’re sharing an awkward silence and a very tense atmosphere as Sae could see how Yuki keeps on fidgeting on the hem of her shirt and Yuki caught Sae’s uneasy expression from time to time.
“Um…” Decided to break the sudden huge iceberg between them, Sae hummed out her frustration a little too loudly making Yuki jumped out in surprise as a result.
“Y-yes?”
“Why don’t you talk to me..? Did I do something wrong?”
“N-no?”
“So… Do you like the mansion?”
“Yes…”
“It’s too gloomy for your liking, isn’t it?”
“N-no…”
“… And uh—so you already know Tomochin?”
“Y-yes”
“So you also know Buraun and Whaitto are inugami?”
“No…”
“… Can you say something other than ‘yes’ and ‘no’..?”
“uh… Yes..?”
And now Sae is so close to facepalm herself in front of her suddenly awkward mate. Taking a deep breath and exhaled, or rather huffed as Yuki might want to describe it, Sae decided to sit down on the sturdy wooden bench in front of the Blue Rose field and motioned the awkward girl to followed suit, which she complied.
Another silence, but this time it’s gives them two tranquility instead of awkwardness. And Sae thought it must be cause of the Blue Roses.
“The Blue Roses are so beautiful…”
“Yep, of course.”
“Who planted them?”
“I did.”
“Wow, really?”
“Wow, that’s harsh.”
“S-sorry… I don’t mean to—”
“Ahaha~ it’s okay, I’m just kidding.” Sae laughed as she held on Yuki’s hand, they feel so soft and warm under her touch. And Sae likes the way it is.
“… Actually I’m so confused, if I may speak honestly…” Yuki timidly speak up the piece of her mind.
“I’m surprised you didn't bring out this topic until now though.” Sae said giving Yuki’s hand a light squeeze. Yuki raised her face to meet Sae’s smile, she could see a glint of guilty flashed from her blue eyes. Seeing this, Yuki's face frowned almost immediately. “I mean, you just know me like… two days ago? And now you’re here in the middle of nowhere, inside a vampire mansion.”
“Well, exactly. feels like…”
“A dream?”
“No, not really…”
“Then what is it?”
“I don’t really know how to explain it, but after the vision I saw when we’re with Maeda-san, everything feels surreal…”
“………”
“… It feels like my life is supposed to be like this instead…” Yuki said looking at Sae, the blue-eyed vampire stares deep into Yuki’s brown orb looking for any clue, but found none.
But she could see Yuki’s eyes almost sparked in excitement though.
And Sae thinks that’s enough.
“Come, let me escort you back to your apartment.” Smiling, Sae stands up holding her hand in front of Yuki.
“You’re taking me home..? Why?” Yuki thanked God she didn't let herself blurted the last word out, that'll make her sound so annoyingly clingy. Or so she thought.
“Hmm? Do you want to live here?” Sae said with a mischievous grin, Yuki blushed.
“U-uhh… I didn't mean it like that though…”
“I'm totally fine if you want to move in and stay together with me here, heck I can't wait for that day to come. But you still have classes tomorrow right? This place is way too far from your school, I don’t want you to run late everyday.” Sae reasoned and Yuki just nodded. She couldn't just blurt out how she doesn't want to go home and how she wants to spend the whole day being with Sae hearing how the vampire responded to the idea of her moving in to the mansion. Heck, now she don’t even want to argue about how she suddenly become so emotionally attached to the blue-eyed vampire.
“… I guess so…” Yuki replied with a small smile.

Hunters’ Residence
“Yuko-san?” Kumi called out in curiosity as their leader suddenly ordered everyone to pack their own belongings and go to sleep as soon as possible. Her slow brain refuses to think.
“Hm?”
“Why we’re packing now?”
“I think I’ve made myself clear enough that we’re going to move out as soon as possible..?”
“That I know, but why?”
“Because Yuu-chan thinks that vampires are roaming around the city again.” Haruna replied as she tapped on Kumi’s shoulder, the werewolf girl just hummed her agreement and walked to her room she shared with Yuria to start packing. After she left, Haruna walked toward the sitting Yuko and patted her head.
“Don’t rush, it’s a bad habit”
“I know…”
“I understand you’re worried about Kashiwagi-chan, but remember, if Kashiwagi-chan is really Miyazawa’s mate, we can’t do anything about that.”
“It’s not about that I worried about…” Yuko sighed as she let her body leans closer to Haruna’s warmth.
“Then what is it?”
“It’s what Sayaka said to me earlier…”
“Sayaka? What did she say?”
“And to think we used to be allies until that incident occurred and destroyed everything…”
Yuko sighed and shook her head. Haruna frowned as she could feel the frustration pent up inside the usually loud and active girl.
“Hey, you know I’m always ready to listen, right?”
“I know, it’s not that I don’t trust—”
“It’s not about trust. I trust you, you trust me, everything’s good. It’s about you. I don’t like stressed Yuu-chan…” Haruna raised hand pinching Yuko’s cheek. The latter just giggled.
“Nyan-nyan, Itai…”
“Come to think of it, I never really heard about why the cold shoulders between us and those vampires existed in the first place…” Haruna tapped her chin and wonders.
“It’s a long story…” Yuko sighed again as her mind drifts into the vivid memory of the time when everything started.
The time when Oshima Yuko experience nightmare.

Chapter 7.1
Flashback
Oshima Yuko, Shinoda Mariko and Noro Kayo run across the dark alley, they moved their feet as fast as they could with one similar objective in head.
Defeats the ghouls while keep yourself alive.
Yuko’s adrenaline pumped inside her small body, behind her, Mariko and Nonti are not too far away. Three of them ran out bullets and Yuko ran of energy to use her shape-shifting ability. And still being a young and green shape-shifter, Yuko couldn’t even blow an attack that powerful enough to knock down a ghoul by herself. And it’s not too long until she heard a knocking sound followed by curses.
“Fuck!”
“Nonti! Are you okay?” Mariko stopped running and about to go back to her companion when the latter shouted
“No, Mariko! Don’t come back!”
“Shit! Ghouls!” Mariko cursed as she runs back toward Nonti taking her combat-knife out. “Yuko! Go to the headquarters and find help!”
Yuko froze, the ghouls are getting closer and she knows that even if she go back to the headquarters, she would find no help there. Her hands begin to shake at the thought of losing her friends.
“YUKO!” Mariko shouted seeing her friend petrified on her spot, but gasped later as she saw Yuko suddenly ran toward her. “Wait, what you are doing?!”
“There’s no help on headquarters!”
“WHOA!!!”
Both of them startled by the sudden yelp that coming from their friend. When they turned their heads they saw a woman assisting Nonti with one hand and terminating the ghouls with another, both of them gawked.
“Me-Meetan..” Nonti blurted out, the woman her head and looked at Mariko and Yuko, who stunned after her eyes met the pair of blue orbs.
“W-who’s that?” Mariko stuttered, she had never seen such strong human existed, while Yuko only gawk in her position.
“Ohori Megumi, the vampire queen.” Nonti replied with a grin.
“Vampire?” Mariko choked.
“Yep, don’t worry, they’re our allies.”
“Just be careful, Nonti. Those ghouls won’t let you off that easily in that kind of situation.” Meetan scolded Nonti who just smile sheepishly.
“Okay girls, seems like we got to return to headquarters and stock up some bullets… Damn those ghouls’ endurance are pretty nasty.”
“No need for that, your base camp got raided.” Meetan stated nonchalantly, everyone turned their head shooting Meetan with surprised expressions.
“Jesus— MAJI?!” Nonti screamed, Meetan nodded with a solemn expression.
“The moment me and my minions arrived, almost the entire place got raided. Including the police office, hospital, malls, pet-shop, barbers and salons… And of course your headquarters.”
“Fuck, they ruined the whole city!” Nonti pulled her own hair, Mariko and Yuko just stand there dumbfounded.
“Not only ruined it, the ghouls killed everyone… So there’s no point to go back to your headquarters now.” Meetan added. And as soon as Meetan finished her little speech, another two figures suddenly appeared, smashing ghouls with their punches and kicks.
Mariko’s eyes widened.
“MINAMI!” She called, but it seems that the small figure didn’t hear her and instead, the slightly taller one stares at her. The girl Mariko referred as Minami
“Minami! What are you doing?!” Mariko shouted again and this time the girl standing near Minami leapt toward Mariko, blowing a punch which Mariko failed to dodge sending her flying a few feet away from her position and slammed against the trash bins.
“WHAT THE HELL?!” Yuko let out a startled yelp and she instinctively took out her combat knife, already in her fighting stance. The girl is about to blow an attack to Yuko too before Meetan suddenly appeared between them, her face stern.
“Atsuko!” Meetan called and her hands are both gripping tight on Atsuko’s fists. Atsuko let out an annoyed growl and huffed her way back to Minami, while Yuko hurriedly went to Mariko to assist her.
“Damn… You! What was that for?!” Mariko yelled, Atsuko turned her head and narrowed her eyes hostilely toward Mariko.
“No one allowed calling Minami with Minami, except me.”
“w-what the… Wait! Minami! What are you doing with them?! Where’s Sae-chan?!” Mariko yelled again and finally Minami turned her head to face everyone, but the moment Mariko saw Minami’s electric blue eyes, she froze on the spot.
“Mi-Minami… Your eyes…” Mariko whispered but loud enough for Minami to hear it, the petite girl turned her gaze away escaping Mariko’s gaze. Yuko then helped the tall girl standing up and she walked toward Minami, eyes never leaving the small figure. Atsuko, though alarmed, stayed silent.
“Minami…” Mariko grabbed Minami’s shoulders trying to make the small girl to look at her, Minami bit her lip and trying to resist but Mariko’s persistent grip beat her resistance into pulps. Minami turned her face to Mariko, and the moment their eyes met, Mariko could feel her heart missed a beat or two as her brain processing the whole information.
Minami’s eyes turned into blue.
The same color as those vampires.
Minami is now a vampire.
“No, Minami, tell me this is a joke…” Mariko whispered with a shaky voice, Minami just lowered her head avoiding Mariko’s gaze and that enraged Mariko even more.
“MINAMI!!” Mariko’s hands on Minami’s shoulder tightening and Minami winced, Atsuko is about to jump on Mariko and beat her senselessly before Meetan stepped in front of her.
“Don’t.” Meetan said sternly, Atsuko just huffed and took a step back. Meetan then walked toward Mariko and the moment Mariko sensed Meetan’s presence, she turned her head and looked at Meetan in anger.
“You better give me a very good explanation about this…”
“I’m sorry, but I just had to—” before Meetan could finish her words, Mariko’s hand flew across Meetan’s cheek slapped the skin hard.
“You have to? WHY IN THE WORLD YOU HAVE TO TURN HER INTO A FUCKING VAMPIRE?!” Mariko snapped, her hands gripped tight on Meetan's collar. Can’t bear to stay quiet any longer, Atsuko lunged forward and again, blow a punch toward Mariko’s face, successfully sending her flying a few feet away before slammed down for the second time that day into the bags of trash.
“Mariko!” Yuuko ran to aid her fallen friend, her gaze shot toward the vampire who’s growling in annoyance.
“Atsuko, stay back!” Meetan scolded Atsuko, who responded with a ‘tch’ then walked toward Minami.
“Mariko, right? Please listen to my explanation first! I have to turn Minami into a vampire because she’s... she's dying that time!”
Spitting blood, Mariko barked “And why would she dying?!”
“……”
“TELL ME!”
“I sucked on her blood. Too much, until she is in the verge of death.” Atsuko replied with a blank expression, Mariko’s eye twitched at the tone Atsuko’s using, it’s way too casual for her as if she didn’t even feel sorry for what she did.
“You—you MONSTER!” Mariko screamed in frustration and lunged forward to attack, Yuuko failed to stop her as Mariko’s sudden movement caught her off guard knocking her to the ground, Nonti can’t even process the whole scene fast enough as she just stood there like a statue with mouth agape.
“SHE’S ALL I HAVE! I LOVE HER LIKE MY OWN SISTER, HOW COULD YOU!” Mariko yelled as she jumped toward Atsuko, who dodged just in time before Mariko’s fist greeted her face, Atsuko pulled Minami’s arm and yanked her away from her “battlefield” to Meetan who caught her before she kissed the ground. Mariko took the chance to charge toward Atsuko again, not ready for the assault Atsuko is, got her face kissed by Mariko’s fist.
Blinded by the sudden hatred, Mariko took out her stake from the inside of her robe, the shiny silver stake she uses to hunt down the ghouls. And the vampire in front of her didn’t have much difference with those ghouls she meets every passing day, she hates them very much.
All of them asked for a killing.
And so this vampire girl, who almost killed Minami and make her turned into one of a vampire now.
It happened so fast, too fast for normal eyes like Yuuko’s, or Nonti’s, or even Mariko’s to see. All Mariko could comprehend well enough is the fact that the stake she’s holding right now is stabbing toward a figure’s chest.
Meetan.
And with a grunt, Meetan collapsed to the ground taking Mariko with her. Nonti snapped back into her senses and ran toward the fallen queen. Yuuko and Minami just stand there, frozen and unsure about the whole scene played in front of their eyes, Atsuko being fully alarmed about the whole situation quickly shoved Mariko away and hold Meetan in her arms.
“MEETAN!”
“… Acchan…” Meetan let out a weak laugh despite the tears that rolls down from her slowly unfocused blue eyes, her hand shakily reached out to cup on Atsuko’s face.
“No… Meetan, no!” Atsuko wailed, Mariko just sit there with the stake in her hand, frozen and unable to let out any sound. Meetan turned her pale face to Mariko and let out a weak whisper, but loud enough for Mariko’s ears to hear it.
“I’m very sorry… For everything…”
And Meetan’s body turned rigid and then slowly dissolved into dust, the wind swirled around taking her entire existence away from Atsuko’s hands. Atsuko stared at the floating dusts and Minami took the cue to calm the vampire before she goes on rampage, Minami hugged Atsuko expecting the latter to push her away, but instead, Atsuko’s body start to tremble.
“MEETAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!” Atsuko screamed her lungs out and cried loudly as her hands clawing wildly at the dusts trying to gather them back, Minami tightens the hug trying to provide the broken girl as much support as she could.
The loud scream and cries echoed in the silent city, into the ears of a few vampires that still scattered around the town hunting ghouls. In instant, they followed their instinct and rushed into the source of wails.
Sayaka was the first to walked into the scene, followed by Tomo and a few more of their companies. As soon as she arrived, her vision greeted with Atsuko who let out a heart-crushing wails while clawing desperately on the ground as wind swirled the dust away. The vampires’ brains immediately made a conclusion that someone killed their queen and their eyes angrily search around for any clue. Then Sayaka’s eyes spotted the silver stake on Mariko’s hand and her eyes twitched, jaw clenched.
“… You… Why you did this?!” She roared, finger pointing. Her fellow vampire companions immediately directed their gaze toward Mariko.
“W-wait! It’s an accident! I can explain—AAAAARGH!!!” Nonti couldn’t finish her sentence as Tomo suddenly appeared in front of her and sent her a painful punch on her stomach. Nonti flew away and slammed against the pile of trashes behind them, Mariko and Yuuko, as shocked as they were, frozen on their spot.
“Tomo!” Sayaka bellowed, Tomo just huffed and flashed back into her spot behind Sayaka.
Atsuko then stood up. Minami, sensing the sudden darkening atmosphere, immediately held onto Atsuko, pleading for the vampire’s attention.
“Please, it’s an accident! We shouldn’t let this turned into a full-scale war!”
Ignoring the petite newborn’s plea, Atsuko flashed in a godly speed and punched Mariko for the third time that day right on her face, sending her flying toward Yuuko, who shape-shifted into a huge bear and caught her just in time. Seeing Yuko's shape-shifting ability, Sayaka immediately took her as a threat and instinctively lunged for Yuuko. And Yuuko, seeing her friends got hit for something she don’t understand plus the dangerous situation they found themselves into confuses her to the limit of her tolerance, her unfocused eyes caught Sayaka's closing figure and adrenaline start pumping inside her veins.
And before she know it, she already shape-shifted into a huge dragon and start spitting fire everywhere, burning everything around them then took Nonti and Mariko to escape. The shocked vampires quickly scattered around to dodge the deadly fire, includes Atsuko who pulled Minami just in time before the flame engulfed everything around them. Finally calmed down, the vampires gathered near Atsuko and Minami.
“Minna, we’re heading back for now… And starting from this moment, they are our enemies.” Atsuko said with finality, the vampires’ gazes followed her finger that pointing toward the fleeing dragon.

finally another chapter done~ though it took more than a month, i'm sorry
i'm on a short break after exam and although my thesis proposal is done, it still waiting to get revised :bleed eyes:
and since i'm in the mood for typing, i ended up finishing the whole chapter :cow:

Chapter 7.2
“Acchan…”
Sayaka called as she sat down beside the quiet girl, a lot happened in these days. it’s been a week since they went hunting with Takamina, and encountered Miyazawa Sae, Takamina's friend, who happened to be Ruka's successor. And they ended up came back bringing another person to be added to the family list much to Meetan's delight; A few days since their encounter with ghouls and the Hunters that got Meetan killed, and Atsuko has been sitting still on her spot refusing to move or do anything ever since. Well, she still exchanges a few words with Takamina and few family members while sitting there. And after that, Atsuko just stayed on her spot like that.
Atsuko only turned her gaze for a while to Sayaka and sighed, a rare occasion, Sayaka thought. So she just sit there with Atsuko.
“… I miss Meetan…” Atsuko mumbled, Sayaka although startled, smiled bitterly and replied.
“Me too…”
“I hate those hunters.”
“… Acchan—”
“I’m going somewhere. Don’t tell anything to Takamina.”
“Wait, where are you going?” Alarmed, Sayaka stood up and walked closer to Atsuko.
“Giving someone a good payback.” Atsuko said, and Sayaka felt her heart missed a beat.
“W-what are you going to—” before Sayaka could ask what the girl’s going to do, she already jumped down the mansion and gone in a flash.
“Damn it!—Tomochin! Tomochin!!” Sayaka called in panic, Tomo appeared not too long after Sayaka’s desperate calls reached her ears.
“What is it?”
“Tell everyone but Takamina to spread around the city and find Acchan!”
“Acchan? What’s wrong with her?”
“She told me something about a payback, I’m afraid she’s going rampage somewhere—”
“Crap… Acchan must be pursuing on those humans…”
“…………”
“That woman killed Meetan, Sayaka. And I don’t think it’s fair for us, I’m going with Acchan.”
“What?! Wait—Tomochin!” Sayaka’s words failed her again as Tomochin also left her in such speed. “… Damn… I need to stop them!” Sayaka gritted her teeth as she run with all her might to chase the two young and hot-headed vampires.

Tomo arrived at the city. Her fur boots were making crunching sounds whenever her feet stepping along the snow-covered street as she walks alone, the dead city were… well, dead. It’s awfully quiet after the ghouls raided the city last week. No sign of life inside the city after the massive ambush since the rest of the so-called ghoul hunters whom still alive, managed to kill Meetan and escaped. The thought of Meetan's death irked Tomo so much she kicked a random stone with all her might sending it flying so far away.
The road still as dead as ever, no sign of anything. But she’s pretty sure Acchan went here, or so her instinct told her.
“Things are getting worse, eh…” Tomo said to no one as she puffed her breath into the cold air, her feet still walks aimlessly as the inside of her head stirred a whole lot of mixed emotions.
Tomo is still mourning over Meetan’s unpredictable death.
Turning to the right on a crossroad, her ears caught a whining voice of an animal, turning her head to the source of noise, she found a cardboard then she opened the lid to take a look inside. Only to find two shiba puppies crying for help, their small bodies shaking from the cold air.
“Oh my, you poor things… How in the world those ghouls still haven’t found out about you guys yet?” Tomo chuckled by herself, suddenly finding her own thought amusing. The brown puppy let out a bark, its legs reached up trying to jump out over the cardboard but only managed to rests its paws on the corner of the cardboard, while the white puppy tries to follow but since its size’s way smaller than the brown one, it ended up sliding all the way to the bottom.
“Hehe~ kawaii…” Tomo squatted down and reached for the two puppies then swiped them off their feet, carrying them out the cardboard then put them down to the snowy road. The brown puppy barked happily and started running around with the white puppy chasing its tail behind, then the brown puppy suddenly turns around accidentally collided their bodies together knocking the smaller puppy down and stomped on the white puppy’s body made it let out a squeak then left it behind rushing back to Tomo. Tomo laughed at the sight and soon the stomped and left out white puppy runs back and sit down near Tomo’s boots and starts poking it with its paw.
“Hello, kid…” Tomo squatted down again and her hand cupped the puppy’s head, then stroking down to its body patting the white fur. Feeling the small fur-ball snuggled back against her palm, Tomo raised her eyebrows in amusement.
“Don’t you feel cold from my touch?”
The white puppy only wags its tail and starts licking Tomo’s fingers.
“Ah, that tickles…” Tomo giggled.
The peaceful atmosphere, however, stays only for a few moments before the resonating sounds of the crying ghouls start to come out of nowhere startling Tomo and the puppies, which immediately runs behind Tomo’s feet. Some ghouls then appeared beside Tomo from inside of a house by breaking the window to come out, Tomo instinctively scooped the puppies then jumped high to the rooftop, only to find groups of ghouls already there awaiting her presence.
“Damn…” Tomo hissed as she jumps from rooftop to rooftop, escaping the increasing numbers of ghouls. Didn't expect herself to gain popularity so suddenly and got chased over almost a hundred of ghouls behind her, Tomo decided to enter the forest and climbed to a tall and sturdy tree to hide, slowly catching her breath and observing the situation. She put the puppies on the branch near her feet and the white puppy almost immediately poking at her foot again.
“What is it kid?” Tomo asked between panting, she saw the puppy stretched its neck showing its collar with a small shiny ring attached to it. Tomo squatted down and picked up the puppy, observing the ring.
“What is this…?” Tomo wondered as her eyes keeps on observing the shiny, well-polished, and high-quality looking ring. Tomo turned her head and watched the puppy stares intently at her with such a gaze as if telling her something.
“You want Tomo to wear this?” Tomo asked to the puppy on her hands, the brown one that sitting on the branch starts barking excitedly and chasing its own tail. Tomo furrowed her eyebrows and touched the ring.
“How am I supposed to wear it when I can’t take it off of—” Tomo’s words failed her as the ring immediately separates from the collar the moment she tugged at it with less than half of a little effort, leaving her speechless.
“… Wha—how in the—ehh??” Tomo put down the white puppy and raised her eyebrows in amusement, the puppies sits down neatly all of a sudden and stares at her.
“So… Tomo has to wear this? Now?” She asked the puppies and finds it funny why she’s now chatting with puppies instead of escaping the ghouls. The brown puppy barked again and sticks out its tongue wagging its tail happily while the white puppy just sit there and keeps on staring at her.
“Okay, wearing a pretty ring won’t hurt, right?” Tomo said nonchalantly as she slipped the ring into her ring-finger and all of a sudden, the puppies shape-shifted into humans. Tomo let out a surprised “kyaa!” and almost fell down before she felt arms encircled around her, blocking her fall.
“Wh—what the… Who are you guys?!” Tomo shrieked in panic and pushed the one hugging her waist away. Her eyes scanned the two new figures in front of her, one in white-dominated outfit and another one in brown-dominated outfit, a set of colors that pretty much an opposite against each other, although their hairstyle are both boyish short.
“Hi, thanks for unlocking one of our seals~” the taller one in brown chirped, in a tone too high for a guy, so Tomo immediately registered the voice as a girl.
“The ring on your finger, it’s a key to unlock one of our curse, the shape-shifting seal. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to allow us to be turned back into this form once again.” The white one also talked, and it hits Tomo that both of them are girls.
“What are you two talking about? The hell do you want?”
“Just want to show you our gratitude by fighting alongside you. No more, no less. By the way, the name is Buraun” the brown haired girl grinned, fixing her glasses.
“And I am Whaitto. Since you now wear the ring that was connected with my collar, you’ve made a contract with me, therefore, I would like to call you ‘Master Tomo’.”
“… You’ve got to be kidding me… Contract? What the hell?” Tomo blurted out with shock painted all over her face, about to explain the whole thing, Buraun suddenly squatted down instead and looked all focused.
“They are coming~” she said with a grin. And just a few seconds after the announcement has been made, the ghouls starting to appear, surrounding the tree where they are standing.
“Crap, I totally forgot about those gho—”
“Okay, how about this…” Whaitto cut Tomo’s words and stares deep into her eyes, “Let us handle those ghouls for you, Master. And after that, I hope you could trust us?” Tomo stares back into Whaitto’s unblinking eyes, there’s not even a slight dot of uncertainty on her eyes, and Tomo smiled.
“… Fine, do as you wish… But if you two got killed or something, I won’t buy this ‘contract’ bullshit and I’m going home.” Tomo said flicking her hair as she settled down sitting on a comfortable branch not too far from the two.
“Deal.” Whaitto replied with a charming smile and Buraun chuckled with an amused expression, she then hopped down the branches and Whaitto was about to follow her partner before turning her head back toward Tomo’s direction to say
“Just sit down and watch, Master. We’ll take care of the rest for you.”

“Well, well~ what do we have here, brother? Bunches of ghoul scums…” Buraun said cracking her knuckles and start doing some stretching, Whaitto who just landed from the tree start to observe the situation. They’ve been surrounded by almost a hundred of ghouls from every direction, standing with her back facing Buraun, the latter understand the code and immediately settled herself back-to-back against Whaitto.
“So… You got a plan?”
“… Of course I don’t…”
“Awesome.”

Tomo has been observing the battle from the tall branch with her legs and arms crossed, chin resting on her palm, lips shaped into a content smile. It has been fifteen minutes and her new “pets” already slaughtered almost half of the crowd, showing her a very good display of hand-combat skills. Buraun with her brute strength and accurate attacks paired with Whaitto’s sharp and fast movement, with each other’s contrasting abilities, Tomo noted that these two are a pretty good combination despite of fighting without any strategy. But hell, who needs strategy to defeat stupid ghouls?
Returning into their position, the two inugami shot glares to the remaining ghouls. Some already escaped leaving a few still growling with fright and anger.
Satisfied, Tomo clapped her hands and start giggling from the tree branch she’s sitting at, capturing the rest of the frightened ghouls’ attention.
“Not bad, you guys are pretty strong. That’s a fascinating fighting skill you’ve presented me with.” Tomo said between giggles, Whaitto’s head immediately lifted and her face beamed a happy smile like a puppy that just got praises from its master. However, the happy smile turned into sour face as one of the ghoul starts howling loudly.
“Oh, calling for help now, huh?” Buraun huffed in annoyance, Whaitto was about to attack the ghoul before a shadow and gust of wind beat her on it. Apparently, Tomo had jumped down the tree and with her inhuman speed, already dashed in front of the howling ghoul and punched its face brutally until its skull cracked and in a poof, it turned into ugly grey shade of dust.
“You’re making such ugly sounds. Uruseeyo.” Tomo spat out her annoyance as she flicked her hair. Both of Buraun and Whaitto just stand there with a dumb face topped with ‘o’ shaped mouth.
The shocked ghouls, however, starts lunging toward Tomo and as if on cue, both of Tomo’s new “pets” immediately sprinted toward them. Whaitto sent punches to the ghoul’s stomach then squeezed its head with her leg trapping it behind her knee and did a somersault while twisting it, breaking its skull and neck. Buraun kicked another ghoul’s leg earning a painful crack then stomped on its calf breaking the bones while gripping tight on the ghoul’s head tearing its head apart from the body with a strong pull. About ten ghouls left and both Buraun and Whaitto suddenly shape-shifted into huge dogs and tear the rest of the ghouls into pieces with their sharp claws and fangs. Amused, Tomo lifted an eyebrow as the huge dogs returned into human form.
Two remained ghouls tried to reach Tomo from both sides but before they could even touch her hair, Tomo already elbowed one ghoul’s chin on her right, and karate-chopped another one’s neck on the left sending heads flying into random directions and they turned into dust.
“And that makes the last ghouls for today.” Tomo pats her dusty hands and walked away.
“She’s strong!” Buraun laughed, Whaitto just smiled to Tomo who turns around from the pile of dusts and walked toward their direction.
“And stunningly beautiful…” Whaitto muttered dreamily.
Tomo stopped a few steps in front of Whaitto, turned her head toward her new “pets” and take a good look of them for a moment before grinning widely, her cute fang peeked out from her lips. Whaitto feel her heart beating a little too fast than usual.
“Nice battle, kids. I’m not going to doubt your skills now… Anyway, as you might have known, my name is Tomomi, Itano Tomomi. Feel free to call me… With anything stylish.”
“Yes, Master.” Whaitto grinned and Buraun just laughed.
“Good to see you got a master!”
Tomo was about to ask what Buraun means, but then she saw another shiny ring attached on her collar and she immediately got it, so she decided to ask another question.
“Anyway, why is that both of you got unlocked together although I only wear Whaitto’s ring?” Tomo asked while eyeing Buraun with a raised eyebrow.
“Well, to make long story short, we’re actually inugami. The sealed ones to be specific…” Buraun started and looked at Whaitto.
“… Because we made a lot of troubles to our kind, our inugami master decided to lock us into puppy form and used these two rings attached on our collar to seal our abilities.”
“One of them is the shape-shifting ability which could turn us into the human form like right now, and the inugami form, the huge dog you saw earlier.” Buraun added with a smile.
“And the other one, is elements manipulation ability.” Whaitto finished and Tomo looked at her incredulously.
“We’re sent here and were gave objectives to find new masters in order to behave ourselves and learn how to serve. Hence the rings attached on our collars are the proof of the ‘contract’…” Buraun added again.
“So, you’re telling me that you’re going to ‘follow-and-serve’ whoever wearing these rings? Even bad guys?” Tomo lifted an eyebrow.
“Yes, Master.”
“You guys are nuts…”
“Well…” Buraun scratched her neck awkwardly.
“So, what’ll happen when someone made contract with Buraun’s ring?” Tomo asked again, her curiosity is getting bigger.
“Just like how Tomo-san made contract with Whaitto, that person will become my master, and in addition she or he will let us unleash our other ability, the element manipulation. One person, one ring, one ability.” Buraun grinned and Tomo just hummed her response while Whaitto just nodded, her eyes gleaming with adoration and she unconsciously ogles over her new master.
Tomo crossed her arms and glanced over the two inugami in front of her, and then she smiled.
‘Didn’t sound like a bad idea though, I just have to make sure Buraun’s master isn’t one of those hunters and everything’s good…’ Tomo thought to herself and then she turned her head to Whaitto.
“Not a problem, you guys are strong, and I like strong companions. I’ll accept this ‘contract’ as your master then.” Tomo’s eyes staring straight on Whaitto, then Tomo gave her genuine smile to the inugami whose heart feels like it skipped a beat or two.
“Yoroshiku ne…”
“A-at your service, Master.” Whaitto bowed awkwardly, Tomo laughed and patted her head as she covered her mouth preventing louder chuckles to escape her lips.
“No need for that bullshit, let’s go home. I can’t wait to tell everyone about this.” Tomo said in a cheery tone as she turned her heels and walked away humming a random song as the two inugami stares at each other.
“Time to ‘go home’, I guess? Heh~ not bad, at least we don’t need to stay inside a cardboard again.” Buraun chirped and shape-shifted into a brown puppy, Whaitto nodded with excitement and followed suit, turning into white puppy and runs toward her newly-found master with Buraun following her from behind.
‘This find-a-new-master quest is really not bad at all’ Whaitto thought.

okay, first i would like to apologize for suddenly disappearing and such..
i was dead busy with my last year thesis and work... therefore, i has no time to even take a peek on what's going on here :nervous
but it's all done and i got a few days free so i decided to update, at least a little bit progressing from the last chapter :cow:
so~ without further ado, i present you chapter 8! :D

Chapter 8
Oshima (new) Residence
Yuuko slumped on the sofa, heaved a sigh as she let her body relaxes on the soft cushion. Haruna plopped down beside her, hand brushed Yuuko’s messy bangs.
“Otsukare~” she chirped, Yuuko just smiled. Taking a good look around her surroundings, the scent of fresh paint mixed with forest’s natural air made an awful combination, Yuuko coughed and frowned.
“Why the long face? Look at the bright side, the scenery’s beautiful and the house is big enough for everyone.” Haruna smiled and ruffled Yuuko’s hair, messing it again.
“I just hate the scent of freshly-painted house…”
“Well, you’ll get used to it sooner or la—”
CRASH
The sudden noise made the two jumped from the sofa, Yuuko immediately ran toward the front door where the noise came from to find a girl sprawled on the ground with blood and bruises all over her body.
“KUUMIN?!”
Yuuko immediately dashed toward the broken wooden fences where Kumi crashed down to, she carefully lifted the unconscious wounded girl and ran toward the front door, but another loud crash noise caught Yuuko’s attention.
“JURINA!” Haruna gasped in horror as another figure following Kumi crashing down to the already broken wooden fences.
“Well, well… Look at what I found here, a nest of hunters-chiyu!” A girl in long, wavy hair chirped. Her partner only grin, her face filled with amusement.
“And to think it’s weird already to have werewolves inside our hunting territory, we found their home!”
“Should we head back and report this to Takamina-chiyu?”
“No.” The other girl immediately responded, turning her head toward Yuuko then grinning widely showing her sharp fangs. “Let’s see what those hunters are up to…”
“But, Miichan I thought we were told to immediately report to Takamina if we find something-chiyu…”
“Don’t be such a party-pooper, Chiyu…” The girl called Miichan pouted then ditched her partner, dashing toward the house of Hunters.
“Miichan! Wait for Chiyuu!”

“Shit, unwelcomed guests are coming!” Yuuko immediately handed Kumi to Haruna and whispered “Nyannyan! Tell the kids to stay inside okay? Don’t let them out or these people will figured out about our identity!” and then ran toward another unconscious werewolf girl, but her journey has been cut halfway through when a sudden figure flashed in front of her, completely blocking her view.
“Who are you? what do you want?” surprised, Yuuko blurted out her questions then frowned as she caught a glimpse of scarlet-red from the girl’s eyes.
‘A vampire… and she’s half-blood…’ She mentally slapped her imaginary forehead as she realized that she just managed to move her family to a new house in the middle of vampires’ territory.
“I want you to…” the vampire whispered and suddenly Yuuko’s instinct feel something’s coming fast on her right side, immediately blocking it with her hand, she realized it’s a fist. The vampire’s fist.
“Wow, nice reflex” the vampire giggled, Yuuko pushed the offending fist away and the vampire stepped back.
“Go away, we don’t need to start a commotion here and now because you’re going to regret it, you hear me?”
“Pfft… What a joke, you and your hunter gang are the one crossed the line here…” The vampire spat, Yuuko glared at the annoying vampire.
“Miichan, what should we do with this knocked-out wolf-girl, chiyuu?” Another voice joined the conversation
“Jurina!” realizing her teammate is in danger, Yuuko lunged forward, but the vampire quickly interfered.
“Not that fast, missy!” The vampire grabbed Yuuko’s shirt collar and threw her back sending her flying back toward the house crashed against the window, then flashed toward her friend who was staring at Jurina.
“Seems like this kid’s someone or something important, let’s bring her back to the mansion and let Takamina handle her.”
“Chiyu!”
“No! Jurina!!” Yuuko shouted as she runs out the house toward the messed front yard.
Miichan smirked at Yuuko, then the vampires lifted Jurina’s limp body and flashed away before Yuuko could reach them.
“JURINAAAA!!”

Oshima Residence - Haruna’s Lab
The lab filled with uncomfortable silence, although everyone looked busy with their own task, each and everyone of the girls seem to have something burdening their minds. Haruna, Rena and Churi are working with Mayuyu’s arms while Airi and Yuria seemed to be busy with some chemicals liquids and ammunition shells on their desks.
“… ano, Haruna-san?”
“… Yes, Rena-chan?”
“It has been three days since Jurina got kidnapped by those vampires…” Rena hesitated for a while before continuing “Is there… Is there nothing we could do…?”
“…………” Haruna sighed and resumed her task on Mayuyu’s right arm until Churi suddenly stands up, palms clutching tight on her lab coat.
“We—we’ve been searching and found those vampires’ not-so-hidden hideout, Haruna-san! All we have to do is a plan to take Jurina back, God knows what they’ve been doing to Jurina in these three days!” Churi cried out and Rena had to stop her task to help her friend calm down before she went hysteric.
“… But Yuu-chan said—”
“Haruna-san, I’m sorry if I’m being rude, but I don’t think Yuuko-san got any plan to save Juri—”
“Yuu-chan said we’re going tonight.”
“… Pardon me?” Rena widened her eyes as the announcement is too surprising for her.
“That’s why we’re here, girls… working on Mayuyu, we’re doing this for Jurina.” Haruna said as her eyes still fixated on Mayuyu, who just stares back at her creator.
“…………”
“So… Let’s just calm down and do more work with less stress-talking, okay? We got to get Mayuyu ready for tonight.” Haruna patted Churi’s shoulder and forced a smile, but the latter is still frowning.
“Churi-chan, I know you are worried, we are all worried too, okay? So let’s focus and work harder so we won’t ruin tonight’s plan.”
“I-I got it… Haruna-san…” Churi lowered her head and weak sobs could be heard inside the quiet room.
“She-she is like my little sis-sister… We are always together! I can’t even imagine losing her to anything!” Churi’s sobs get louder and her legs wobbled, slowly losing its strength and she slid down the floor crying.
“Churi-chan…” Haruna reached for Churi and hugged the crying girl. Rena could only look at her friend helplessly while patting Churi’s back hoping it would ease her pain.

Takahashi Mansion
“… So, you’re refusing to eat… again?” Buraun mumbled putting down the food tray on the table and fixed her glasses as she walks toward Jurina who is sitting on the bed, crossing her arms and shooting glares toward the brown haired inugami.
“…………” Sensing the intense foul mood from the werewolf, Buraun sighed and opened the small rack under the lamppost, took a small can of gums and put it into her pocket, Jurina eyeing her every movement and mumbled weakly but loud enough to catch Buraun’s attention.
“What is this place?”
Buraun lifted a glass filled with water and emptied the content in huge gulps. Putting the glass back, Buraun only give Jurina a smirk and walked toward the door.
“Hey! You’re not answering me—”
“I’ve told you before, this is MY room. And which part of it that you do not understand, werewolf-san?”
“That’s not what I wanted to know!”
“Well, and I thought werewolves are smart.” Buraun snorted and opened the door, Jurina growled and as soon as she tried to stand up and tackle the annoying inugami then give her a good punching or two, she flinched and falls down the bed, squeezing her eyelids close while clutching her right torso where the bandage with patches of her blood could be seen, Buraun sighed again.
“Jurina-chan… please stop hurting yourself…” A gentle voice rang on Jurina’s ears. She fluttered her eyes open to see a familiar figure peeked from behind Buraun’s outstretched arm.
“Buraun, please move away… I’m going to change her bandage now since it’s soaked with her blood, again…” Yuki said with worries painted all over her face, Buraun lifted an eyebrow and looked at the werewolf whom now curling on bed in pain.
“Well well, aren’t you just the kindest-est, Kashiwagi-sama.” Buraun smiled and let go of the door she’s been holding for a while and let Yuki walks into the room and toward Jurina.
“Jurina-chan… I’m here to change your—”
“Diaper.” Buraun suddenly cuts Yuki’s words then snorted in amusement, Jurina glared and Yuki shot her a frown. Buraun immediately stopped laughing and muttered a ‘sorry’ before closing the door and plopped down the nearest chair making herself comfortable.
“You should stop moving around so much, Jurina-chan… Your wound is opening again.”
“Kashiwagi-san, I’m grateful for your kindness, I do. But why am I being kept here? Hell, I don’t even—itai!”
“Language. And stop that! You’re just pressuring yourself too much again!” Yuki scolded and Jurina sulked with a whimper, Buraun swear she could see the puppy ears on Jurina’s head curled down, she rolled her eyes and decided to read a neglected manga on the table to entertain herself.
“Buraun, please give me a hand to lift Jurina-chan so I can change her bandage…”
“Hm~” Buraun responded lazily and walked toward Jurina and flung her left arm on her shoulder then suddenly lifted her up.
“Ita-itai!!” Jurina yelped and Yuki instinctively smacked Buraun’s forehead.
“Gently! Lift her gently! Mou…”
“Whoops~ Gomen ne~” Buraun said with a sing-song tone and gently lifted Jurina again to sit down. It took a while for Yuki to be able to completely change Jurina’s bandage since she was flinching every time she feels Yuki touching her wound earning complaints from Buraun since Jurina’s left hand is gripping and pulling a little too tight on Buraun’s leash.
“Okay, we’re done!” Yuki beamed and Jurina finally let out the air she’s been holding for a while with a loud sigh, Buraun let out a giggle as she put Jurina back on the bed gently.
“Now rest well, Jurina-chan…”
“… Thank you, Kashiwagi-san…”
“Don’t mention it.” Yuki smiled and walked out the room with Buraun tailing behind her, closing the door and locking it after giving Jurina a look. Jurina sighed again.
“How I could escape from this place… Churi, Yuuko-san and everyone must be worried…”

Dining Room
“Oh, it’s Yuki-chan” Takamina announced, the whole eyes immediately directed toward the figure walking on the grand-stairs. Not used being center of attention, Yuki hesitated a bit before continues walking down the stairs.
“Yuki…” Sae called as she stood up from her chair, she took Yuki’s hand and helped her sit down.
“Thank you, Sae-chan.”
“Wow, did you hear that?” Yuka immediately cracked up in amusement, Ayaka also trying to stifle their laughter and Yuki just blinking at them innocently. She turned her head toward Sae’s direction and saw Sae’s uneasy expression. Then it struck her that she just carelessly blurted out her nickname for Sae in front of the vampires.
“A-ah, I mean—”
“It’s okay, Yukirin.” Sae immediately blurted out and smiled sweetly at Yuki, who’s blushing beet red and looks like she wants to dig a hole to hide forever. Everyone’s still laughing at how cheesy the nicknames sounds, until Takamina faked a cough.
“Okay… That’s sweet, but Yuki-chan, I would like to know how the werewolf is doing.”
“Um… She’s still resting, I just changed her bandage and her wounds are still raw…” Yuki explained and Takamina looked at Buraun.
“I must say it didn’t look like she’s going to heal anytime soon, Takamina-san. She can’t even sit up by herself.”
“I see…” Takamina tapped chin and looked at Atsuko who just sit there silently.
“Nothing could be done, so I think I’ll go patrol or hunt something. Let’s go, Whaitto, Buraun.” Tomo stands up and walked out the dining room with Whaitto and Buraun following her, Sayaka and Asuka left as well as Ayaka and Yuka to return to their respective rooms, leaving only Sae, Yuki, Takamina and Atsuko sitting on the dining room.
“Takamina, what about Chiyuu and Miichan?”
“That… What they’re doing is something serious… To be honest, I am glad they found out Yuuko is currently staying around here. But I don’t know what to do to both of them for using violence on the werewolf, so I just lock them in their room to do self-introspection and Acchan has casted a spell on the mansion so they’re unable to go outside…”
“… That’s strict…”
“We can’t let any similar ruckus to slip out of our control, can we? We can’t let people think we’re bad guys, that is why we are staying here. And besides, it’s the hunters we’re picking a fight with… It’s Yuuko… But I can’t tell why she is moving here… Out of all place, why here?” Takamina’s train of sentences turned into incoherent mumbles as she start to get stressed. Feeling the tense aura from her partner, Atsuko just pat Takamina’s head to calm the tiny vampire.
“We’re heading back to our room. See you guys later, Ruka, Maria.” Atsuko tugged Takamina’s sleeve and they walked away leaving Sae and Yuki alone, realizing no one else around, they look at each other awkwardly.
“Oh, look at the time… it’s about time I bring you back to your house, Yukirin.”
“Yes I think so…” Yuki beamed a sweet smile leaving Sae speechless and dumbly standing there staring at her for a few seconds.
“… L-let’s go then.” Sae turned her face away trying to hide her embarrassing expression and held Yuki’s hand as they walked out the dining room.

“Sae-chan, look… it’s full moon tonight!” Yuki chirped as they walked down the dark alley nearing Yuki’s apartment, turning her head to the sky, Sae gazed at the beautiful moon and smiled.
“Yes, it’s very beautiful…”
They walked in a comfortable silence, hand in hand, until they reached Yuki’s apartement front door.
“Sae-chan…”
“Yes?”
“Thanks for walking me home.” Yuki smiled squeezing Sae’s hand gently.
“… D-don’t mention it… Yukirin…” Sae blushed, she unconsciously tightens her grip on Yuki’s hands as well.
“Um…”
“Y-yes?”
“My hands…”
“Oh! I’m sorry, did I hurt you?”
“No, of course not.” Yuki giggled, she finds Sae’s sudden panic amusing.
“Well… I guess I’ll be seeing you tomorrow?”
“Yes, I can’t wait.”
“Me too.”
The two of them giggled and stands like that for a few minutes, losing themselves again into each others’ eyes.
“Uh… Yukirin, it’s getting late, you should go inside…”
“Ah—oh, right…” Yuki stammered and turned away to unlock the door until suddenly she could feel Sae’s arms encircled on her waist and her warm body snuggled against her.
“Good night, Yukirin.”
“……………”
“…Yukirin?” afraid that she has startled Yuki and made her uncomfortable, Sae loosened her embrace and took a step back. But suddenly, Yuki turned her body to face her and placed her hands on the sides of her head, Yuki’s face getting closer and before she realize it, Yuki gave her a kiss on the lips. Pulling away, Yuki smiled shyly with her face flushed red.
“Good night, Sae-chan…”
Sae grinned with a satisfied expression and waited until Yuki get inside her apartment. Yuki tried to unlock the door only to find the door is not locked.
“Weird, I remember already locked it when I went to Yuu-chan’s sleepover…” Yuki muttered. Sae realized something is off and decided to accompany Yuki get inside. After they got in, they found the room is eerily dark and empty.
“Yukirin, we’re heading back to the mansion.” Sae said all of a sudden and before Yuki could ask why, she was stunned to see Sae’s charming electric blue eyes are now glowing.
“Sae-chan?”
“Whatever happens, don’t ever let go of my hand. Got it?”
“Huh?”
“Don’t ask why, trust me.”
“… Okay…” starting to feel scared, Yuki tightened her grip on Sae’s hand. Then a low growl could be heard, Sae could feel Yuki’s hand start to shiver in fear.
“Don’t be afraid, I’m here.”
“… But, why I hear a growl…”
“That’s because… Something is here.”

“Full moon…” Tomo mumbled nonchalantly, her fingers are busy fidgeting on Whaitto’s white coat sleeve.
“Yes it is.” The inugami didn’t protest and just continue walking beside her master.
“I wonder where did Buraun go…”
“Don’t worry about her.”
Tomo shrugged and tugged at the white coat and sit down on the empty wooden chair. Whaitto just stand there in front of Tomo, looking at her looking at the moon.
“Beautiful…” Whaitto blurted, Tomo looked at her with a blank expression.
“… What?”
“… Nothing.”
“Why your face is so red? Is it hot?”
“It’s… The moon… Yeah, the moon…”
“Hee~” amused, Tomo let out a teasing tone. Whaitto turned her face away trying to hide her boiling-red face and was about to walk away, but Tomo tugged her sleeves returning her back on spot. They stayed like that for a few minutes in silence, simply enjoying each others’ presence in the night breeze.
“Do you ever think about what will happen in ten years from now?”
“No. Why, master?”
“… I’ve seen human changes, they grow from kids to adults, adults have children then they grew up too… then adults became old, then sick, and they died…”
“……………”
“Do you ever think I could have children too?” Tomo asked with a small smile on her lips, Whaitto choked on the air she’s inhaling and coughed.
“Hahahahaha! What the hell… I’m just kidding, dummy…”
“I-I know…”
“No you don’t. If you do, why you choked on air… Hahahaha!”
“……………”
“Are you thinking of inappropriate things?” Tomo smirked and Whaitto swear she feels like she just got slapped with a huge frying pan.
“N-no… Why do you think I would do so?”
“Because I do.”
“WHAT?!” Whaitto blurted loudly and Tomo just stare at her.
“Ahahahahaha!! You should see your face!” Tomo cackled and Whaitto just stand there, too shocked to move. She was going to protest, but a hint of unpleasant odor suddenly invaded her nose.
“Master, I smells something bad.”
“What? Someone farted?” still laughing, Tomo plays with her long hair and checks her nails.
“… Not that.”
“Well, this town is too damn quiet don’t you think?”
“That’s one point, and I smell—” before Whaitto could finish her sentence, a loud and familiar howl could be heard. Tomo’s smiling face immediately fades as she stood up.
“Ghouls.”
“Yes, master.”

The town was in chaos, ghouls are appearing and start going rampage, eating people they encountered like it is festive time. People are trying to escape but sadly not much who stayed outside the house could survive. Takamina has sensed the uproar and sent some of her vampires to exterminate the ghouls in the town, while she and Atsuko, as well as a few senior vampires stays in the mansion.
“Takamina!” Sayaka’s loud roar could be heard from across the hall as she run to find Takamina, with Asuka scurried far behind her calling her name to slow down and wait a bit for her.
“Sayaka! Wait for me!”
“Mocchi, just stay on the bed!”
“What?! No! You, come back here! NOW!” Asuka roared.
“…………” Sayaka stopped running and dashed back toward Asuka. In a swift motion, she carried Asuka on her arms and continues running to Takamina’s chamber. Not even bother about knocking the door, Sayaka barges inside with Asuka still on her arms, only to find Takamina is sitting behind the huge desk facing the tall window made of glasses that shows the dark forest. Beside her, Atsuko could be seen standing with her arms crossed, staring into the deep forest as well.
“Takamina! The town is—”
“Yes, I know.”
“Then what the hell are we doing here?! Why we’re not going there and exterminate them?”
“I’ve assigned some of half-bloods to hunt them down.”
“But it’s full moon, don’t you aware of their unusual strength at this moment?”
“I do.”
Sayaka sighed. She could never tell what’s inside Takamina’s brain so she gives up trying to argue with her. Sayaka put Asuka down and plopped herself on the chair in front of Takamina’s desk, Asuka strokes her back as she inhales the air deeply and then exhaled her breath slowly trying to calm down.
“Now, leader… Tell me what’s in your mind.”
“… We got to stay… Because Yuuko is coming for us.”

it's been way too long, really a while since the last update, no? :lol: :sweatdrop:
recently I've been overwhelmed with my life so things just kinda went downhill from there...
but apparently, things have been in a better shape now and somehow it inspires me to write again :twothumbs
so, without further ado, I present you chapter 9! :D

Chapter 9
Takahashi Mansion – Takamina’s Chamber
“W-what did you say? Yuuko?!” Sayaka stammered, her hands gripping tight on the sides of the chair she’s sitting on, Asuka even stopped her constant patting on Sayaka’s back due to shock. Takamina spun her chair facing Sayaka and Asuka, her face painted with worry.
“Of course she would want to pick up her werewolf companion, whom happened to be kept here…” Takamina stated, Sayaka could feel the atmosphere became tense.
“I could sense she is coming, her and her entire gang.” Atsuko added, Takamina sighed and Sayaka just sit there speechless.
“Sayaka…”
“… What?”
“Tell DiVA, Miichan and Chiyu to report in. And please assemble at the dining room, in…” Takamina ordered as she take a look at the small pocket-watch on her desk then continued, “… thirty minutes from now.”
“But Sae’s out…”
“The rest will do, be on stand-by first while wait until she came back.”
“Understood.” Sayaka stood up and walked out the door with Asuka following her closely. Takamina buried her face on her palms and exhaled loudly.
“Takamina, the werewolf.”
“Yes, can you do something about that, Atsuko?”
“I’m sealing her room now.”
“… How long it could hold her there?”
“I don’t know…”
“Okay, let’s just do what we could.”
“Takamina…” Atsuko reached out and hugged the small girl, she could feel the latter start to tremble.
“… I’m scared…”
“Shush… I know, it’s okay.”
“… Atsuko…”
“I’ll protect you.”

Downtown
“Where are they?”
“Getting nearer, master.”
Tomo and Whaitto are jumping roof to roof to seek the ghouls and exterminate them before they caused more panic and deaths. A few houses later, Whaitto stopped and squatted down.
“Master, the ghouls…”
“Yes… Disgusting…” Tomo squinted in annoyance, the view below them filled with torn limbs of dead bodies and bloods everywhere as well as wrecked cars on fire.
“Smells awful right…” Suddenly a familiar voice rang on their ears, turning their heads, they spotted Buraun sitting down on the roof.
“Where did you go?” Whaitto smacked Buraun’s shoulder, the latter just smiled.
“Warming up.”
“Huh?”
“I spotted some of these ghouls earlier and I think I should exterminate them, so I did. But I don’t know there are still a lot of them around…”
“Yes, and we’re too late. This place is done for—” Tomo was about to jump to the other house before she heard a scream coming not too far from their spot.
“Someone’s still alive…” Whaitto raised her eyebrows and was about to jump down and check before Buraun beat her to do so and already gone sprinting toward the source of noise.
“Oi! Wait a—”
“Let her be, Whaitto.”
“Master?”
“She know what she’s doing… Anyway, did you smell that?”
“… Yes, master.”
“They’re coming back.”

Hunters’ Headquarters
“Yuuko-san, Kojiharu-san is looking for you.” Airi tapped Yuuko’s shoulder, the latter turned around and Airi couldn’t help but shiver at her piercing gaze although it’s not directed toward her.
“Thanks, Airin. Please tell my hunter team to get prepared and gather in ten minutes.”
“H-hai…”
After the timid Airi scurried away to spread the command to her companions, Yuuko exhaled as she closed her eyes, concentrating hard. She bent slightly forward and grunted a bit as two scarlet-red wings started to grow from her back.
“Ngh—!”
“Yuuko!”
Haruna’s sudden appearance startled Yuuko, not able to fully transform yet, Yuuko turned to face the disturber.
“What is it, Nyan Nyan?”
“Don’t give me that kind of tone, I’m the one should be asking! What are you doing transforming into that inside the house?!” Haruna scolded.
“You do know no matter how hard I try, I couldn’t fully transform… Yet…” Yuuko sighed in defeat.
“Yuu-chan…” Haruna frowned as she walked closer to half-transformed Yuuko, her hand reached out stroking Yuuko’s wings. “You do know that you’re not alone in this. Right?”
Yuuko smiled.
“Thanks, Nyan Nyan”
“You can count on us too… And by the way, Mayuyu is ready for action. So… Shall we do a test drive?”
“My Nyan Nyan is definitely the best!” Yuuko squealed and trying to glomp on Haruna before the latter smacked her head.
“Your wings!”
“Ouch! I’m sorry…”

Dark Alley – Downtown
“HELP ME!!” a squeal echoed throughout the dark, empty alley. A brunette runs with her all might trying to escape the ghouls chasing her not too far behind, she found out that turning her head back to peep is a bad idea as the ghouls seems to get closer and closer, her shaking legs finally gave up and she fell down the street, her knees scraped against the asphalt and she feel nausea washed over her as her mind blurred due to lacking of oxygen. Her body starts to tremble.
“H-help…” hot tears start to trickle down her cheeks, this is the worst kind of nightmare someone could experience, she thought. One of the ghoul jumped toward her and she squeezed her eyes shut, preparing herself for being feast of the night.
She felt a gust of wind coming from her back then heard a loud slam and a roar of pain. She timidly opened her eyes and goosebumps start to rise on her skin as she saw the figure stands before her, looking back at her, grinning.
“You okay, Akicha-san?”
“Y-yes… Wait, how could you know—”
“GROAAAARRR!!” The ghoul who apparently got punched away and turned into grey dust angered the other ghouls, they started to growl loudly while running toward both of them.
“Well, aren’t you guys loud as hell…” Buraun snorted. “But, first thing first, Akicha-san. Let’s get you away from them.”
“W-wait, but who are you? Why do you know my name? Where are you taking me—”
“I’m Buraun, and we’re going anywhere but here.” The short haired girl grinned again as she lifted the brunette to piggyback her. “Hold on tight!”
“Buraun? But I thought—KYAAA!!”
Akicha squeezed her eyes shut and hold on tight on Buraun’s jacket, the night breeze slapped her face and whipped her hair into a mess and she can’t help it.
‘Well, this is still definitely better than being ghouls’ dinner.’ She thought.
Buraun ran as fast as she could, but apparently her speed plus carrying Aki on her back can’t advantage her current position. The ghouls are still tailing them not too far behind.
“Well, damn. Am I getting fat or she’s heavy?”
“Huh?” hearing Buraun spoke, Akicha managed a squeak.
“Ehh—no, nothing… I was just thinking outloud.” Turned her head, Buraun laughed nervously, but her smile fades as she caught a glimpse of a garbage can flying toward them.
“Shit!” Buraun jumped and maneuvered her body mid-air just in time to kick the garbage can to the air, while Akicha’s eyes widened and her jaws hung open as the scene unfolds before her sight. Landed perfectly on her feet, Buraun put Akicha down near the piles of cardboards and stood in front of her.
“Running away is futile, I guess…” Buraun hissed, Akicha keep on eyeing Buraun and realized her aura is slightly different.
“Wait, what are you going to do?”
“Just stay still, and I’ll be back. I’m doing some clean-up.” Buraun dashed back toward the coming ghouls and Akicha jaw-dropped as she hides behind the cardboards.
“Eeeehhhh?!”

Yuki’s Apartment
“Sae-chan… I’m scared… What is that thing on my kitchen…?”
Yuki’s palms clutching tight on the hem of Sae’s shirt. Sae, although keeping her focus on the mysterious creature glaring at her from the corner of the kitchen, managed to sneak her hand to hold Yuki’s trembling one. They backed away slowly as the creature followed them, until they are in front of the bedroom door, Sae opened it and the creature let out a low growl, slowly exposing itself in the moonlight.
‘what is this creature…? A mutated ghoul? Animal? Alien?’ Sae wondered, she could feel Yuki start to tremble again.
“Yukirin, calm down, I’m here. Now listen, okay… When I said ‘go’, get inside the bedroom and immediately lock it. Stay inside until I pick you up at the window, in five—no, three minutes. Got it?”
“O-okay…”
Yuki inhaled sharply as Sae’s grip on her hand is loosening, she is still on a staring contest with the weird beast.
“Go!” Sae let go of Yuki’s hand and the startled Yuki run inside the bedroom, slammed the door closed and locked it.
She tripped on her own feet and her hands are sweating, she hurriedly crawled to her empty bed. Few crashes and loud roars could be heard from the outside of the bedroom, she then heard Sae’s unusually low voice but she can’t quite get what Sae was saying and all of a sudden, the walls start to shook, slowly, then later, violently.
Terrified, Yuki pulled her bedcover to cover half of her face leaving only her teary eyes showing, and clutching on it until her palms turned white.
After a few soft quakes, the room went quiet, and she heard knocking on her window. She turned her head toward the source of noise and can’t feel more than relieved to see the blue-eyed vampire smiling warmly to her.
Yuki hurriedly opened the window thinking the vampire would come in, but instead, Sae pulled her arms and lifted her body then jumped out the window. Yuki’s eyes almost dropped to the floor the moment her feet lost touch with the ground. Sae landed perfectly on top of a roof of a house across the apartment, with the room’s owner in her arms.
“What—Why are we—What are you doing, Sae-chan??”
“We’re heading back to the mansion, Yukirin.”
“But, why?”
“This town is on ghouls rampage, I can’t just leave you here, can I?”
“Ghouls… Rampage?”
“We’re heading back, and that’s final.” Sae said to Yuki, eyes staring deep into her. And of course Yuki just can’t say no to those charming eyes.
Sae kissed Yuki’s forehead, who snuggled back against her embrace, and glanced toward Yuki’s apartment room then started to jump roof-to-roof, leaving the empty apartment crumbling into dust and ruins.

Dark Alley – Downtown
Akicha is watching from behind the cardboards of how Buraun exterminate the ghouls empty-handed, with only punches and kicks but Buraun managed to do so much damage. And she immediately gets the idea that Buraun is not an ordinary human, or maybe she’s not even one.
She planned to just sit down and wait until Buraun come back, but then she caught a Ghoul is sneaking under a car, looking straight at her.
And she knows she can’t just sit down and watch anymore.
With a scream, Akicha ran away for the second time that night. Her scream caught Buraun’s, and of course, the ghouls’ attention. Buraun hurriedly run to get to Akicha before the ghouls did, but when Buraun was about to call Akicha’s name, she saw a shadow flew above her.
It’s a car.
It’s flying straight to Akicha.
It’s a dead-end in front of them.
“Akicha-san!”
Buraun called and as Akicha turned her head back, she saw Buraun and a car both flying toward her.
CRASH
Everything is dark, but Akicha didn’t feel anything.
No pain from broken limbs, crushed bones, nothing.
Instead, she felt something warm dripped down onto her forehead, she slowly fluttered her eyes open only to see a shiny ring with blood trickling down from someone above her.
Buraun.
“Bu—”
“Shh… I’m trying to… Think…”
The blood rolled down and get into Akicha’s right eye. She winced and blinked twice, and as her vision start to focus, she realized that she is under a flipped wrecked car, on the corner walls of a dead-end alley, with Buraun shielding her from the impact. And it seems like the blood trickling down from her forehead is Buraun’s.
Akicha tried to move, but her body is trapped under Buraun, who’s sandwiched between her and the wrecked car. The ring is still dangling in front her eyes, hanging by the collar wrapped around Buraun’s neck, stirring something inside her. Akicha’s instinctively tempted to touch the ring.
Meanwhile, Buraun is trying to think of a way to escape the ghouls that gathered around them eyeing for any movement from the heavy car on her back. Her patience and energy is running thin, she really needs to do something.
Buraun glanced to the girl beneath her, only to find the latter looked so mesmerized gawking at the ring on her collar, then the idea hit her.
“Akicha…” Buraun whispered, Akicha snapped back into her senses and startled a bit, her straddled legs jolted and her right knee accidentally hit Buraun’s ribcage.
“Oof!—” Buraun coughed and wobbled a bit, the car started to weigh down again on Buraun’s back
“So—sorry!”
“L-look… Nevermind about that, do you like the ring?”
“Huh?”
“Try putting it on”
“But… How?”
“Touch it?”
“My hands… squeezed… under my back and… my butt…”
“……What the hell…”
Buraun wobbled again to move left leg a little to release Akicha’s trapped hand, Akicha wriggled a little, sticking her body to Buraun in progress. Realizing what she is doing is inappropriate, Akicha blushed hard. And Buraun, looking at blushing Akicha in close-up, blushed too.
“H-hurry up, the car is… heavy…” Buraun turned her face away and whispered. Akicha nodded awkwardly and when her now-free-hand accidentally brushed against the ring, it shines brightly, startled both Buraun and Akicha, and also the ghouls.
“Put it on! Hurry!”
“I-I can’t find the ring!”
“WHAT?! IT’S GONE??”
“W-wait, I think it fell into my shirt…” Akicha start to wriggle again. Buraun, irritated, lowered her face to unbutton Akicha’s shirt button with her teeth and start licking on her chest.
“KYAAAA!!—” Akicha pushed Buraun’s face away from her chest to stop her from harassing her.
“Hut uph, ai hoh ih hau (shut up, I got it now)” Buraun grumbled with Akicha’s hand on her face, Akicha saw the ring between Buraun’s teeth and gasped.
Buraun moved her head around, guiding the ring between her teeth to get into Akicha’s ring finger, once it’s in, white light beamed around them and Akicha squeezed her eyes shut to protect her eyes from getting burned. She felt someone lifted her body and warmth start to crawl on her skin.
“Whew, took so many struggles only to put that ring on your finger, huh, master?”
“Huh?”
Akicha opened her eyes and found both of them are now currently on top the roof of a tall house, she took a glance to her right hand where the ring wraps on her finger comfortably, the bright reddish-orange light beneath them caught Akicha’s attention and the moment she took a peek, she immediately shocked to see the terrifying scenery beneath them.
“A small pool of flame, with ghouls drowning in it. What could be better?”
“But how could—”
“Thank you for unleashing these kids’ ultimate power, Takajo-san.”
Turned her head to the source of voice, Akicha saw Tomo and Whaitto standing not too far from across the roof they are sitting at.
“Itano-san?!”
“Glad you still remember me, Takajo-san. Let me introduce you to these extraordinary inugami kids, Buraun and Whaitto.” Tomo smiled and her fang peeked out from her lips.
“I-Inugami? Oh my God! What—what is happening?” Akicha put her hands on her head, she’s totally lost.
“I will explain everything later, Takajo-san. Whaitto, could you do something about the flames? It’s too bright.”
“Yes, master.” Whaitto stepped forward and closed her eyes to concentrate, a small ball of ice start to emerge and getting bigger as Whaitto stretched the distance between her hands.
In a few seconds, a gigantic ball of ice flew straight to the flames from the roof of where Whaitto and Tomo stands on, and once it touched the flames, it explodes into huge water drop and the flame slowly dies leaving sea of smokes below them.
“I really hate cleaning up for your mess, Buraun.” Whaitto said nonchalantly, Buraun only grinned.
“Su—sugoi…” Akicha blurted out in awe. Buraun squatted down to face the gawking Akicha, who turned to face her with her mouth still opened.
“Don’t worry, I will explain everything until you understand.” Buraun chuckled, pushing Akicha’s chin up to close her gaping mouth. “For now, let’s bring you to a safe place. It’s been a long night for you, master.” Buraun smiled and Akicha could only nod her response.
‘Yes, it’s been such a long night…’

anyway, the next chapter should be consisted of full-scale war I think of the Vampires VS The Hunters VS The Ghouls :cow:

Sorry for just comenting like I just read this fanfic, while the truth is that I've been reading this fanfic since a few months ago :) gomenasai!! I thought it was too late for me to reply as I found this fanfic after it had 5 chapters but now I feel guilty to be kinda silent reader.
