Watanabe Mayu's 3rd solo single has been announced. It will be titled [Hikaru Monotachi] and released on the 21st November 2012. According to her official website this will be an up-tempo song incorporating elements of electro.
Included as a coupling song will be the [Sayonara no Hashi], the theme song for the upcoming anime movie Nerawareta Gakuen, in which Mayuyu also voices a character.
There will be a total of 6 new songs on this single, which will be released in 5 types. One CD only type for 1,000 yen, three CD+DVD types for 1,600 yen each, and one "CD＋α" type, which costs 2,000 yen.
It is planned that on the DVDs, Mayu will wear school uniforms from each of Japan's 47 prefectures.

On September 27, it was announced that AKB48 member Watanabe Mayu is releasing a new single titled “Hikaru Monotachi” on November 21.
Only four months after her previous single “Otona Jelly Beans“, Watanabe is already ready to release her third solo single. The new single is titled “Hikaru Monotachi” and is said to be an up-tempo electronic track.
Watanabe commented, “I’m very happy that I can already release my third single so soon after ‘Otona Jelly Beans’. This new song will be very different from my previous two singles, I had a very fresh feeling during the recording.”
The coupling track for this upcoming single will be “Sayonara no Hashi“, which is the theme song for the upcoming anime movie ‘Nerawareta Gakuen‘ (release: November 10), where the protagonist is being voiced by Watanabe as well.
Those who buy one of the three different first press limited editions will also get a DVD that includes bonus footage, which includes Watanabe sporting different school uniforms from all 47 prefectures of Japan. She commented about this unprecedented project, “It’s so much fun wearing all those cute uniforms from all over the country. You all should certainly look forward to this.”

The tracklisting for Watanabe Mayu's third solo single [Hikaru Monotachi] has been announced. The DVD tracklistings are still unknown. [Hikaru Monotachi] will be released in five editions on November 21st. Three CD+DVD editions, one CD only edition, and one CD＋α edition which shares the same tracklisting as the CD only edition. It is currently not known what extras you get with the ＋α edition.
It is the 2nd track on each CD which varies with type, whilst track 3 is the same on all types. This is [Sayonara no Hoshi], the theme song to the anime film Nerawareta Gakuen, which Mayuyu voices a character in.
The DVDs will feature videos of Mayuyu wearing school uniforms from each of the 47 prefectures of Japan. There will be 47 collectible cards of Mayu in these uniforms in the A, B, C and +α editions.

○種村有菜（たねむらありな）
1996年、りぼんオリジナル6月号掲載「2番目の恋のかたち」でデビュー。それ以来、常に少女まんがの最前線を走り続けている。代表作は、ともにアニメ化もされた「神風怪盗ジャンヌ」、「満月をさがして」など。現在、りぼんにて「桜姫華伝」を、雑誌コバルトにてエッセイコミック「有菜の種」を連載中。

Watanabe Mayu’s 3rd solo single “Hikaru Monotachi” A short movie “Mega Mayuyu descends on Akiba” will be recorded on the bonus DVD for Watanabe Mayu’s 3rd solo single ”Hikaru Monotachi” (on sale the 21st). Mayuyu stars in the short movie “Super Goddess Descends ~Giant Mayuyu, Appears in Akihabara!~” which was directed by a student around the same age as her. The staff were all students around the same age, and the idea came from the thought “what if Mayuyu was a student and was in the movie club?” For the first press limited edition B, the DVD included will not only have the main movie, but also interviews with Mayuyu and the student director along with a documentary about the making process. AKB48 member Watanabe Mayu’s 3rd solo single, “Hikaru Monotachi” (released November 21st), has sold 92,000 copies in its first week and has topped the Oricon weekly chart for the week of December 3rd. This is her first time topping the charts after making her solo debut in February.
Watanabe is said to be one of the candidates for the next ace after claiming 2nd place in the recent ‘AKB48 General Elections‘. Her previous singles, “Synchro Tokimeki” (released in February) and “Otona Jelly Beans” (released in July), placed 2nd and 3rd on the Oricon weekly chart respectively.
After Maeda Atsuko’s “Flower” (June 2011), Itano Tomomi’s “Fui ni” (July 2011), and Sashihara Rino’s “Ikujinashi Masquerade” (October 2012), Watanabe is the 4th AKB48 soloist to top the single chart.
“Hikaru Monotachi” was arranged by vocaloid artist Hachioji P, and the illustration for the main visual was done by Aki Akane.

2月のデビューシングル、「シンクロときめき」の時も、発売初日に１位ということで、歓喜に沸きました。
Of course, when the debut single on February “Synchro Tokimeki” got 1st place on the first-day sales, we were joyfully excited.
が、今回はもっと特別な感じです。
But, it is a lot more special this time.
