Pretty basic, just name your favorite moments/events in sports in 2012.

Pretty sure Benson fighting in Seattle is gonna make my list

Of course, I don't think McKayla was impressed by it...

This was fun to see mainly due to being a Californian watching it from New Jersey when it happened:

Nothing amazingly spectacular for me this year. Tigers shat the bed spectacularly in the World Series. Olympics were fun. I guess my fondest moment was the Michigan Northwestern game which was one of the most exciting I have been to in a while. Even if Michigan had a so-so season, lots of bad luck, injuries and blew the game against Ohio State in the second half...

I thought we were done for but then the hail mary with 10 seconds left and the Demons stuff on 4th down in overtime. Was nuts.

Olympics First:

A Judo Gold Medalist from America

First time in Olympic history + women are becoming a force in the sport

Which does lead me to Ronda Rousey winning the Strikeforce Woman's Bantamweight Championship, maybe a discussion but I think it could be a building block in MMA

Giants winning the World Series again

NHL lockout

There were a few things that happened that I enjoyed the shit out of:

UFC 144: Rampage's Entrance

Holy shit. I got chills. One of my favorite fighters of all time comes back to where he made his name. Pride theme playing, the respectful Japanese crowd couldn't help but cheer, this alone made buying that card worth it.

I tried finding it on youtube but I had to dig around and found it on this Korean site if anyone wants to relive it.

UFC 144: Benson Henderson vs Frankie Edgar I

The other reason why I bought the card. Super fun to watch. Frankie won the first, then from that nasty upkick in the second, it was Smooth all the way.

UFC on Fox 5: Henderson vs. Diaz

I thought Benson lost the rematch with Edgar. So I was hoping he would come into this fight looking to dominate. Nate Diaz ain't no punk, but Benson pretty much neutralized him. Even when Diaz had him in all kinds of knee bars and leg locks, Benson got out and kept going. At one point, Diaz had one of his legs but Benson did the splits. Fighter of the Year, I think.

The Summer of Lebron

From finally winning a title and going to London and winning Gold. I could go on and on about what this means for him and basketball, but all I'll say is that I'm excited to see where it goes.

Olympics were fun but nothing really stood out for me. Actually, when the Gasol brothers were killing USA in the Gold Medal Game, I got scarred.

I'll leave this here.

Olympics didn't have a lot of surprises but I think we saw many things that showed the usual :nervous

Football season has brought up interesting matchups for the NFL, the battles between division leaders brought a weird coincidence in prime time battles

and then something close enough to it

Oh shit, how could I forget!?

2012-2013 Seattle Seahawks

Aw shit. Surprise ROTY candidate Russell Wilson and Skittles-eating beast Marshawn Lynch running things in Seattle, it's that townshit.

I just wanted an opinion but this team is unique and a contender at the moment.  Saying that how about the rookies now.

Many had success, many have failed: Luck, RGIII, and Wilson have made their mark

Veterans like AD and Peyton have impressed from their injuries last year

Any team can win= 2012 season, get in and we shall where everyone can stand
