Just announced at the theatre, a long list of SKE48 girls will be graduating:
Kuwabara Mizuki
Takada Shiori
Hiramatsu Kanako
Akaeda Ririna
Ogiso Shiori
Ueno Kasumi
Hara Minami
Kobayashi Emiri
Yagami Kumi was re-announced as well...

Hmm... The only major surprise in that list is Ogiso Shiori. Definitely didn't expect that.
Biggest disappointment is Shiitan... One of the top favorites since day one. I was hoping she could stay on as team S leader, but I guess that ship has sailed.
Sucks to see Ririna go too, but I can't blame her. She doesn't really have a bright future in SKE48.
Mizuki and Kanakana are first gen and mood makers so it also sucks to lose them, but I can live with it. It's the way things go.
edit: Oh, completely missed Haramina. Didn't expect that either...

Season 2 has been completed already, so no worries there. Furthermore, she won't graduate until spring so she can still participate in a possible second No Name single release.
As far as 0048 goes, we might not even get a third season. If we do, it'll be very easy for the writers to 'graduate' Sonata in the show or write her out some other way. I doubt they'll replace her, it's more likely they'll add a new character altogether. But this all getting way ahead of things.

SKE 9 member graduation partial translation
Hara Minami here. I’m graduating from SKE48 as well.
After being promoted to a Team and entering senbatsu as well as other activities I’ve gained many experiences. Because of these experiences, I can then move closer towards my dream. Right now I’ve made my decision to graduate. I will not forget the memories I’ve had and the times spent with everyone here. As well as the SKE family who helped me grow
I hope I would be able to spend my time happily until I graduate.
Ogiso Shiori here.
I became 20 last year. It’s a major life transition, and so I thought a lot about it. I want to broaden my horizons from now on and so I’ve decided to graduate.
Akaeda Ririna here. I’m in my 2nd year in high school. I’ve also thought a lot and decided to graduate.
Yagami Kumi here. Once again, I’m greeting this way. As announced previously, I’ve decided to graduate. I’m determined to start over from scratch, I think there are still a lot of things. I’m determined to get over it. Please continue to support me.

I’ve decided to graduate as well. SKE was originally a first step towards my goal, please continue to support me for my second step towards my dream.

It's reminiscent of when Ohe Tomomi, Komatani Hitomi, Tojima Hana, Nakanishi Rina and Narita Risa announced their graduation at the last A4 show. They were all first gen members so it had a big impact.

Kidding aside, I expected it to be much worse. I figured there would be at least one more big name in that list (maybe even a Matsui).
I also expected more of the older girls to go; Deguchi, Seira, Mieko, etc. Don't get me wrong, it sucks hard to lose so many awesome girls in one go.

Early members like Ogiso, Mizuki and KanaKana leaving too. Ogiso was really pushed in mag shoots in 2012, really didn't think she'd grad so early. And Hara. I was expecting her to be one of Team E's aces soon, as E are starting to be shown more now.
They had to announce Kuumin's grad again too. Like I wasn't already thinking about it every day. :doh:
But maybe I should be glad with such a mass grad, that not all my SKE faves were wiped out.

Definitely did not expect Ogichan and Haramina, but expect the unexpected I guess. After the shock from Kumi's announcement now I'm actually prepared for any graduation (well I dunno if it was Mayu or Yuria) so I will just treasure the moments leading up to the final performance.

At today’s KII stage
from SKE48
9 members announced their graduations.
“graduation”
no matter how many times I’ve experienced it
It makes me feel ambivalent and I can’t get used to it.
From when I heard about it up till today
I tried thinking about various things by myself but
The members who were my pillars of support
that they would disappear
I couldn’t imagine how it would feel.
They were always by my side
and I think it will be strange with no one there.
at our usual stages
our gazes would meet and we would talk
we’d get angry and they’d kindly praise me
I think it would feel weird that these seniors aren’t around…
but I’m okay!!!
or rather, I’m okay
although it is the only thing that I can say
but I’m okay.
If I say “I’m okay”
I feel that even things that aren’t okay will become okay, so…
I’m strong so I’m okay!!!
For all of the fans too
I think it’s too sudden and sad
so even though you’re sad, if you’re sad
Please become okay for the sakes of the graduating members, too.

Almost had a heart attack when I saw this thread. I was afraid to click it because I thought Yuria's name would be among em. It's still very sad to see these members leave but right now I'm just so damn relieved.... :deco:

Mizuki: Bummer but not terribly shocking. She's one of SKE's mood makers but always kinda been in the middle to back, senbatsu-wise.
Shiitan: Underrated, underused girl, and now she's gone. She's one of the "Management WTF she's awesome why not use her" girls in my list.
Kanakana: Poor girl lost her senbatsu spot when she got injured and never really got it back. :/ Bummer.
Ririna: Not very surprising, she got practically nothing in SKE48 except a lukewarm theater spot.
Kasusu: Damn, too bad. Girl had epic gravure potential and was generally entertaining.
Haramina: A great talent and she just sat there for the most part. What a waste. That's the one thing I can't stand about SKE48, Team E has so many great girls and they all just sit in the theater. UGH. :banghead:
Emiri: She was cute but I didn't know much about her. I saw someone mentioned she said her dad died. That's really sad. :(
And finally, Ogichan: I have no words, my SKE fandom has been hit harder than ever. I haven't ranked in a while but she's definitely top 5. I had just recently seen the Shukan AKB episodes with her, Kinchan, and Matsurina. She's just such a lovely girl that brought a wonderful aura with where whenever she appeared. I am really, really sad to see her go. :(

This is definitely a major blow. I'm especially sad about Ogichan and Kanakana. :cry:
I will say, however, that I much prefer this getting 8 announcements over with all at once rather than drag them out the way NMB did last year.

I'm shock to see Kumi is going to graduate...
I mean she is one of the popular members and she also been on all the MG drama... from the first to the 3rd one...
She is also active in SKE drama... and also voice actress for Sonata at AKB0048...
Quite sad to see that happen but then since Maeda graduation..
It seems everybody else starts to think about their future... by going out from their comfort zone and trying to challenge themselves on the outside world.
Well all the best for all the members that going to graduate or already graduate in your future career...
