Hi guyss,, Ojii-chan heree (LOL)
It's my first post in this forum~~
Well..... I wrote fanfics and fansubs so much. But I've never post it before in anywhere *Forever Alone*
but seeing your fanfics here, really makes my hand itchy and want to post something =A=" :dizzy:

From Past to The Future
Prologue
One thousand years ago in the land of Spira. There is a city….. Very----very big city that never sleep. This city is full of lights, it also have many high-rise building and waterfalls. The city is known as Zanarkand. Zanarkand is a highly technologically city in this era.
Zanarkand also has the best blitzball team in Spira. It's name is Zanarkand Abes. There are many great players in there.
*About Blitzball, Blitzball is a sport that looks like football.
This is what that I could explain / know about blitzball (LOL):
1. 5 Players for each teams
2. The members are mixed. It can be both of boys and girls
3. You can use hand or foot. Since you play this underwater XDD
4. Blitzball have stadium too. In the stadium, there is an energy ball in the middle of a demi circle. When there is a game, the energy ball will filled with water.
But they are just ruins right now. The stadium, those high-rise buildings, the waterfalls... nothing remains.
They live in the abundant pleasures in that time.
Until that happens.......
Okay, so that's for the prologue that I wrote few years ago, really bring backs memories :farofflook:
This story is just like FFX , credits to Final Fantasy X :))
But of course with AKB characters and pairings. I really love this story when the first time I played the game until now.
That's why I decided to wrote it with my own words using AKB characters and pairings :on lol: can you guess who is the main pairing in here?
I think all of you already played this game.
So..... should I continue to post?? :)

From Past to The Future

Chapter 1 : Where it All Begins
-In Zanarkand at nighttime-
There are several people standing around talking to each other. Then a guy runs to the crowds and inform something.
“Hey! *pant* It’s him! *pant* h-he is here!” the guy said still catching a breathe
It gets people so excited. And they run off somewhere with that guy who informed. With no one around, a short person magically appears out of nowhere, walking where the other people went before disappearing again.
-In the place-
A guy comes out, ladies shout crazily and cheer for him. He approaches the crowd of people.
“Wow~ what do we have here” the guy thought while approaching the crowd
“Can you sign this? Pleaseee” a kid said that holds out a blitzball
“No probs!” the guy said, and then taking the blitzball that handed by the kid and signs it
“Ma-tsu-i Ju-ri-na” he said when signing the blitzball then returns it to the kid
“C-can you sign mine too??” asked another kid
“Me TOO!!” Another kid interrupt
“Hey, slow down kids! Take it easy” said Jurina
“Ahh Jurina-sama is so gentle~ he really kind to the kids” said a girl in the crowd
“He’s so perfect!!” Said another girl
Jurina heard that all, then winked to the girls
“Kyaaaaaaaaaa~” screamed the girls when they saw Jurina’s deadly wink
After signs the blitzball, then he walks up to the girls
“Can I have your autograph?” asked the one of them (girls)
“OF COURSE~” said Jurina
Jurina signs her blitzball then turns it back to her
“Hey, there is something on your hair.” Said Jurina
“Eeh?!”
“Here” Jurina touches her hair and handed a leaf that was on her hair which one make that girl blushing so madly “T-Thankyouu, Jurina-s-sama!” sand the girl
“Good luck tonight!” said the fans
“Nothing to worry about!”
“Hohohohhoohohoho it feels sooo good seeing the girl’s reaction, glad there is a leaf on it so I can touch her hair~” Jurina is in his dreamland.
“Ano! Can you sign this one too?” said another girl handed her blitzball, but she got no answer from Jurina
“Etoo, Jurina-sama?”
“Oh sorry sorry!” Jurina snapped out from his ‘dreamland’. He signs her blitzball, spins it on his finger & gives the blitzball back to her.
“Oh, If I scored a goal, I will do….. this!” said Jurina raises his arms to the sky “That will mean is just for you two!” said Jurina flirting the girls which one makes them giggles
“What seat?” asked Jurina
“East block, in the front row~”
“Fifth from the right!” the other girl continues
“GOT IT!”
Jurina turns back to his fans “Well.. gotta go, cheer for me!” said Jurina winked again
When Jurina is about to go, he heard the kids from before calling for him.
“Se--------no!”
“Teach us how to blitz!”said the kids
“Hey, I got a game to play!”
“Then teach us after!”
“Hmmm……. Dunno………. Maybe tonight..? hmm…”
The short mysterious person from before is behind Jurina. No one seems to see him or even hear him. Except for Jurina
“You can’t tonight” said the mysterious person
Jurina looks at that person for a second then looks back to the kids, “I mean…. Tomorrow.. Yeah, Tomorrow!” said Jurina to the Kids
“Promise?” asked the kids
“Promise!”
Then the kids do a series of hand motions and conclude by bowing to Jurina.
Then Jurina walks to the stadium. On the way he stopped in front of a billboard, and stares at it intently. It’s a guy with a bird on his right shoulder. Jurina smirks and begins to run.
There is a voice of a Blitzball announcer is heard as Jurina runs trough the streets.
"I was in a coffee shop, running away from home when I heard the news. Our hero, Kumi, gone, vanished into thin air! My dad must have been his biggest fan. I knew how sad he'd be. Heck, we all were that day."
"Zanar," I says to myself, "What are you thinking?""
"I went running straight back home. We sat up talking 'bout him all night."
"My dad and I never talked so much. Whoa... Didn't mean to reminisce, folks."
"Anyways... Ten years later, the Memorial Cup tournament is today!"
"The two teams that have won through to the finals are...of course, the Abes from A-East and the Duggles from C-South."
"I know there's a lot of people out there today to see the star of the Abes!"
"In just one year, he's become the team's number one player!"
"He's Kumi's blood!, and the new hope of blitzball! What kind of super play will he show us today?"
“I…. I hate this” said Jurina to himself and keep going to the stadium
"Will we see his brother's legendary shot? I don't think I'm the only one excited here, folks!" the announcer said again
-In front of the stadium-
“Aaaahhhh Finally!” said Jurina
“HEYYY LOOK IT’S JURINAAA!!” said A man out loud makes everybody looks at Jurina
“Oh no….”
Jurina runs as fast as a cheetah. Glad he manage run inside the stadium.
-Inside the Stadium-
“Yikes that’s creepy” Said Jurina to him self
Jurina is sitting alone in a pool of water, eyes closed. His eyes open, as a ball of energy in the middle of a demi-circle begins to expand. Flocks of people enter the stadium. Jurina stands up, much to the enjoyment of the fans, as they cheer. We see an overview of stadium. Far away, a mysterious man clothed in red with sunglasses stands on a highrise. He holds up what appears to be a white jug, as a massive tidal wave approaches Zanarakand. Back to the man walking through Zanarakand, as the huge tidal wave has now turned into a ball of water, which gets even closer to the city.
;Blitzball match;
much brawling and passing occurs. The fans cheer. Someone gets knocked out of the water into the stands. And Jurina just scored a goal.
1-0 for Abes! The fans cheer more and more
"Take THAT!" Jurina said to the opposite team
Everyone rushes towards a loose ball. Jurina jumps into the air, above the sphere of water, as the ball is sent up out of the water to reach Jurina. He prepares to do a bicycle kick, when he sees the massive ball of water. The water ball sends out dozens of huge water bullets which smash into Zanarkand. Everything gets engulfed in water. Jurina hangs onto a girder above the stadium, as the stadium below is destroyed/engulfed in water.
Jurina falls.
“Ughhh” Jurina trying to gets up, realized that he returns to the entrance of the now-destroyed, soaking wet stadium. Dozens of fans begin running away for their lives.
“What the hell is happened in here?!” Jurina shocked and begins to run as well but then he sees the man clothed in red
“Wha—“
“MAYU!”
“What are you doing here?!” Jurina asked
“Waiting for you” he said emotionlessly then walks away. Jurina follows him.
In the streets of Zanarkand. People are running through the streets of Zanarkand. Jurina is moving around aimlessly. All of a sudden, time freezes. Jurina looks around frantically. The short mysterious person from before appears again.
"It begins."
Jurina turns, looks at the little person and goes "What?!”
"Don't cry."
Time unfreezes. Jurina gasps, and looks around
"What the...?" Jurina said looking for that mysterious person
“Who the hell is him?!”
When he was looking around, Jurina found Mayu down in the street, "Hey! Wait!"
Jurina runs down a street, where he meets Mayu again
"Hey, not this way!" Jurina said to Mayu
"Geez, you such a crybaby” Said Mayu
“Look-“ Said Mayu
Jurina looks up at the large ball of water that Mayu was looking at, hovering over Zanarkand, and gasps "We called it ‘Sin’…” He said again
"Sin?!”
“Yea.. Sin” answer Mayu
Tentacles smash out of a nearbye building. Hundreds of small pods eject from the tentacles, landing on the ground. They turn into small bug creatures which surround Jurina in a demi-circle. He aimlessly tries to fight them off with his hands, but eventually falls backwards
"Catch" Said Mayu
He hands Jurina a sword. Jurina takes it, and holds it high in the air, before nearly dropping it
"A gift from Kumi."
"My old man?"
Jurina moves forward, swinging the blade. The bug-creatures move backwards. Jurina falls backwards onto and stands up again
"I hope you know how to use it."
They began to fight, don’t know where Jurina learn to fighting, but he just can doing it kind of good. Mayu just smirks and holds his giant sword with his right arm
"These ones don't matter. We cut through!"
They killed some bugs. More fall
“Hey, this is kind of fun ha-haha” said Jurina looking at the sword in his hand
"Don't bother going after all of them. Cut the ones that matter, and run!" said Mayu
They cut the ones that matter, and they run. More fall behind them
A loud noise occurs. Jurina looks at Mayu, who begins to run to the noise. Jurina follows. They come face to face with the big tentacle monster, surrounded by a few of the bugs from before.
Then they fight the Sinspawn Ammes They eventually defeat it, and it blows up.
Mayu runs ahead, Jurina follows. They return to the area near the start where Jurina was looking at the billboard. He looks up at it again while running with Mayu
"Heck, What are you laughing at, old man?" Jurina said to Mayu
"Mayu! Let's get out of here!"
"Hmmph We're expected." Mayu said with emotionless tone
"Huh?" Jurina looks at the running Mayu "Gimme a break, man!" then follows him
Jurina and Mayu fight a lot of ugly bugs on the way. They swing their swords agains the bugs. And stopped. There are so many bugs on their way. They even can’t returns back
Mayu looks at the bugs "This could be bad." And he found a piece of machinery
"That--knock it down!" Mayu said to Jurina, pointed to that thing
"For What?!”
"Just do it! And you will see!”
They attack the machine. The more they hit it, the more it crackles with energy. Eventually, it explodes. Then it falls of the bridge, creating a massive explosion. All the bugs are destroyed. The bridge itself begins to blow up.
"Go!"
They continue to run, avoiding the bridge which is blowing up. Jurina makes a huge leap and grabs onto the edge of a broken part of the road, which is diagonally facing upward. He hangs onto the ledge. Mayu standing above Jurina' hands.
"Mayu! Mayu!"
Sin is now above them, and appears to be a large wormhole which is sucking things in. Mayu looks up at it
"You are sure?" Mayu said looks back to Jurina, “This is it” then he picks him up by collar of his shirt
“Hey! Put me down!!” Jurina yelled
"This is your story, Jurina” Mayu stopped for awhile, “It all begins here.
It goes blank, Everything goes white
"Hey! Hey!"Jurina keep calling for Mayu
Then there is Zanarkand, which seems perfectly normal, except for a huge pillar of flame in the background
"My...old man?" Jurina, floating in this very surreal version of Zanarkand, descends. He sees a small kid
"I thought about a lot of things..."
"like where I was, what I'd got myself into."
"I started to feel light-headed... and then, sleepy."
It goes white again
"I think I had a dream."
"A dream of being alone."
"I wanted someone--anyone, beside me..."
"so I didn't have to feel alone anymore."

From Past to The Future

Chapter 2 : A thousand years in The future
A bird's eye view of a large structure is shown. The sky is dark. Jurina is on the ground, and he wakes up and slowly gets up. He looks around in that place and started yelling. Hoping someone is in there.
“Anybody there??????” He asked, but no one replied. “Mayuu?” he calls for Mayu, but still no one answered. “Heeyyyy!!!!!” He yells
Jurina looks up. A bird flies away, towards the large structure. Jurina try to swims towards it, then finally reaches it. He walks along a stone structure and looks at the water below. All of a sudden, it breaks. He looks around the watery area. He descends into the water. Suddenly, a group of fish surround him, and he's forced to fight them.
“What the?!” Jurina a little shocked when he saw that toothy fishes, “I guess it’s time to fight then!” He takes his sword (that Mayu has given to him), then started to fight. He sliced the first one into two pieces, then he tries to do the same thing to the other one, but the fish managed to avoided his attack and bites Jurina.
“Ouch!!” He screamed in pain and try to take some air, then dives into the water again, “You will pay for this! You just woke up the big tiger!!” The mad Jurina kills off two of them, so only one remains.
“Gotcha! You can’t run away from me!” when Jurina was about to knock it down, A massive fish creature approaches them, knocking over some stones along the way.
“Heck, AGAIN?!” Jurina thought. Then he dives out of the way, as the big fish gulps the little fish. The big fish sees him. And the big fish began to approaches him. “You gave me NO CHOICES!” then he started to fight ‘again’.
Jurina tried to swing his sword to that BIG fish. He missed, the fish ready to take a revenge attack. He makes Jurina wounded. When he was pushed by that fish, he tried to looks around, and sees a gap he can swim into. He begins to swim to the opening as quickly as possible, as the fish gains on him. The fish nearly has him entirely in its mouth as Jurina averts disaster.
Jurina, flung through the gap into another section of the building, lands safely into a thin layer of water. Several stones from above collapse and block the passage. Then he stands up
"I had made it out of the frying pan...and into the freezer." Jurina thought.
He enters another section of the building. It's huge, and entirely empty. He looks around again
“It’s so cold….. I-I need fire----“
Jurina finds somewhere he can make a fire "The remains of a campfire. With flint and tinder, I could start another fire here." He finds the necessary flint and tinder and the fire is made. He warms his hands above the fire, and then lies down, looking up at the high dome ceiling. Then he heard a strange sound comes out from his stomach "I need food! Aaahh!"
[FLASHBACK]
"What do you want?" asked jurina
"It was a bad call, Your team lost because of you." Mayu said emotionlessly
"You just came to say THAT?" said Jurina with ‘WTF’ face
"Tsk, It's been...ten years." Mayu smirks “I thought you'd be crying. Hahahahahaha"
"Who, me?!"
The mysterious short person from Zanarkand comes--
"You cried." Said the mysterious person
[FLASHBACK ENDS]
Jurina is sitting down as the fire withers and dies. There is something running along the wall of the Ruins. Jurina falling asleep, quickly wakes up and looks around. He looks at the dying fire. "Hey, wait! Wait! Don't go out on me!" He said try to save the dying fire. “Just hold on. I'll get more wood!"
Jurina looks around he sees the big bug on the wall. The large insect runs around the walls, and then jumps down, face to face with Jurina. “Whoaaaaaa!!!” he tried to reach his sword and fights again.
Partway through the battle, one of the ruins' doors blasts open. A group of people walk through, holding guns, led by a strangely-dressed girl with goggles. The fight continues, and ‘who the heck is the girl that fighting on his side?’
The girl is quite strong, she throw a grenade to that insect
"You on my side? Cool!" said Jurina
The creature eventually dies. Jurina comes face to face with the strangely-dressed girl. She lifts her visor/goggles. Jurina stares with his mouth open for a moment, before breathing a sigh of relief
"Whew! That was close!" Jurina said in relief
Someone walks up behind Jurina and grabs his hair
"Hey, lemme go!"
Several more people surround Jurina and point guns at him, "Fryd ec drec?" ("What is this?") A guy asked
"Y fiend! Eh risyh teckieca!" ("A fiend! In human disguise!") another guy said
One of them pulls a knife and holds it in front of Jurina's throat "Oac! Ed ec cu!" ("Yes! It is so!")
"Fa gemm ed?" ("We kill it?")
"Fyed!" ("Wait!") the strange girl speaks up, "Fryd ev ed ec risyh?" ("What if it is human?") said that girl again.
"Drao yna dra cysa eh taydr!" ("They are the same in death!") The person with the knife points it at the girl
"E vunpet ed! Fa pnehk ed fedr ic!" ("I forbid it! We bring it with us!") said the girl
Then She walks up to Jurina "Cunno." ("Sorry.") said the girl
She knees Jurina in the stomach. He falls unconscious
-In a large boat-
A large boat is floating on an ocean which spans as far as the eye can see. Jurina wakes up. He's surrounded by the people from earlier. One of them turns around and sees he woke up
"Ced, lybdeja!" ("Sit, captive!") said one of the guys then he hits Jurina who falls back "Hey, that hurts!" said Jurina
"Hu sujehk, rayn?" ("No moving, hear?") the guy said readies to give another punch to Jurina "Whoa... Okay okay.." Said Jurina
Two more people approach him. The girl from earlier, and a guy with a blonde Mohawk "Caynlr res!" ("Search him!") He begins to do alot of actions with his arms to signify swimming, all the while grunting
"Right. Whatever…" Said Jurina
"Tu oui hud cbayg?" ("Do you not speak?") He shows Jurina a necklace of some sort and points to it, grunting once more
"I said I don't understand!" said Jurina
"Ehcumahla!" ("Insolence!")
One of the Al Bhed points his gun at Jurina's chest. The girl speaks up again "Fyed!" ("Wait!") the girl said, "He said you can stay if you make yourself useful."
"You...You understand me?" Asked Jurina. He gets hit in the back by one of the guy's guns "All right, I'll work!"
Then Jurina approaches the girl "Oh, almost forgot!" Jurina walks over to the side of the boat
"What's this? Some kind of crane?" asked Jurina. The mohawk guy yells at him "Rao, oui! Kad yfyo vnus drana!" ("Hey, you! Get away from there!")
"Okay, okay!! You don't have to shout!" said Jurina. He returns to that girl
"We found some ancient ruins right beneath us." Said the girl "It's not active now, but there should still be some power left…. We're gonna go down there and activate it..." she paused, "and then we should be able to salvage the big prize! Let's get to work!"
"Roger!" Jurina said in agreement
They jump over the side of the boat, into the water. They make their way to the underwater ruins. They travel through the ruins, powering up certain devices as they go along. It's not long before we see that they're not the only ones in the Underwater ruins...they return to where they began, and they meets a monster (again) that’s kinda like an octopus.
“Hell, AGAIN?!” said Jurina.
“What?” the girl look at him. “It just a fiend!”
“Yeah.. Just ‘a’ fiend she said” Jurina thoughts “There are so many things that I don’t know about this place.. Where the heck am I?”
“Heyy, don’t just stand there! Come here and help me beats this thing!”said the girl still fighting with that creature. “You said it’s just a fiend! I thought you could do it alone!” said Jurina
“Okay okay! Follow my instruction!” said the girl. “You, Attack this creature, I will swim to the other side and attack this thing with a grenade!” the girl continues,, still fighting with that creature. “Hurry up, I can’t hold it anymore!!”
“Hey, Isn’t it dangerous if you throw a grenade in the water?!” asked him, “Just do what I said! Hurry up!” the girl yelled “Wait!” Jurina swim to that creature and replace that girl’s position to fight that thing. Just doing what that girl said. And that girl began to swim to the other side, then give Jurina a sign to avoid that creature and throws the grenade.
“Wow, cool”
“Like just I said! My plan is always working!” said the girl. They leave the Underwater ruins and return to the ship
"Fa vuiht dra airship!" ("We found the airship!")
"Dra naluntc fana nekrd." ("The records were right.")
Jurina jumps back on board, and shakes the water off of him. Some of the Al Bhed are speaking, and begin to walk to the door leading into the boat.
"Huf, ruf du tnyk ed ib?" ("Now, how to drag it up?")
Jurina follows the people. One of them turns to speak to him "Oui, uidceta!" ("You, outside!") He hits Jurina. Jurina steps back.
"Hey, I helped out, didn't I?" said Jurina. The people enter the ship, as the door closes behind them.
-8 minutes later-
On the deck of the boat, Jurina is lying down, then he heard that strange voice came from his stomach again "Uhh...hungry."
Someone approaches and kicks him in the shoulder. It's the girl from before she's carrying a plate of food. She puts the tray on the floor for him. "Whoa! Right on!"
He scarfs down the food so fast that he begins to choke. The girl goes "Hey!" and tosses him a jug of water. He opens it and drinks, concluding in a relieved sigh.
"It's 'cause you eat too fast!" said the girl. Jurina stands up, laughs, moves around, and stretches. The girl walks up behind him
"Hey!"
"Hello there. What is your name?"
"Hmmm…. Why you asked?"
"Whoa! You really do understand!" Jurina goes "Woo hoo!" and laughs
“Okay okay.. It’s Minegishi Minami” said the girl
"Why didn't you say so earlier?" said Jurina
"I didn't get a chance to!" said the girl, "Everyone thought ‘oui’ were a fiend." Minami said looking down. "Uh..."we"?" Jurina said confused
"Oh, ‘oui’ means ‘you’." She said. Jurina pauses then spoke again "Who are you guys, anyway?"
"We're Al Bhed. Can't you tell?" said Minami. "Wait. You're not an Al Bhed-hater, are you?" she asked "I don't even know what an Al Bhed is." Jurina answers
"Where are you from?"
"Zanarkand." He smiling pridefully "I'm a blitzball player. Star player of the Zanarkand Abes!" Jurina said out loud
"Did you hit your head or something?" said Minami
"Um, you guys hit me." Said Jurina. Minami laughed and apologized for what just she and her friend did to Jurina “Ahahahahhahahah sorry about that” Minami tries to stop then asked him again, "Oh, right... Do you remember anything before that?"
"So I told her everything there was to tell about Zanarkand..."
"About life there, blitzball, and Sin's attack..."
"and about how Mayu and I were engulfed in this light."
"I just said things as they came to mind. But then I started to wonder."
Minami looks solemn. And Jurina turns to her "Did I say something funny?" Jurina asked
"You were near Sin." She said "Don't worry, you'll be better in no time. They say your head gets funny when Sin is near.” She looks at Jurina “Maybe you just had some kind of dream?"
"You mean I'm sick?" asked Jurina. "Because of Sin's toxin, hell yeah." Answer the girl
"You sure?"
"Yeah, there is no Zanarkand anymore. Sin destroyed it a thousand years ago."
"So...no one plays blitzball there." Said Minami
Jurina is visibly surprised. He turns to look at her
"What do you mean, a thousand years ago?" Jurina said still surprised "But I saw Sin attack Zanarkand!" he pointed "You're saying that happened a thousand years ago? No way!" Jurina yells
"You said...You play blitzball?" Jurina goes "Uh huh"
"You know, you should go to Luca."
"Someone might know who you are, or you might find someone you recognize."
"Luca?” He said. Minami shakes her head, walks around a bit, then returns to Jurina and taps him on his back
"Okay, leave it to me! I'll get you to Luca, promise!" said Minami, "You'd rather stay here?" she continues. Jurina says "Uh uh"
"Okay, I'll go tell the others. Wait here." she begins to leave, then turns around
"Oh, and one thing."
“What is it?” said Jurina "Don't tell anyone you're from Zanarkand, okay? Yevon says it's a holy place. You might upset someone." She said again
Jurina mutters "Oh...uh okay", and then leans on the railing.
It goes black
"My Zanarkand, some kind of holy place? Yeah right, I thought."
"Since when?"
"Yevon? Sin? Luca?"
"I thought Sin just took me to a faraway place, that I could go back in a day or two."
"But a thousand years into the future?"
"No way!"
Jurina kicks the crane area and falls, a loud rumble is heard, and the ship shakes. In the distance, something blasts out of the water. The door opens people run onto the deck and fall down. Something in the water approaches the ship.
"Sin!" said the one of the guys "Sin ec lusa!" ("Sin is come!")
"Ihtan ic! Ihtan ic!" ("Under us! Under us!")
“AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” Jurina falls overboard and gets sucked into a whirlpool. It goes black again

Hi, I'm new here. I found your fic hehe! Totally FFX. I remember playing the game way way back. Reading your story made me remember the dialogue hehe!
Anyhoo, is this WMatsui? If it is, it kinda makes sense considering in real life Rena's ideal is Tidus, so we can pass it of as her being Yuna hehe! It would be really interesting who will be Wakka and Lulu since they end up together. Atsumina, Saeyuki maybe? Would that fit? Oh well, looks like I'll just have to wait til they get to Besaid.

From Past to The Future
Chapter 3: Besaid – Blitzball – and Summoner
Jurina is floating face down in some water. He wakes up, looking around, “What the.. where am I again..?” then he tries to call for Minami
"Mina--- Ouch! What the hell is that!” He said rubbing his head and turns back. He gets hit in the head by a blitzball. He looks at the shore, where several people are gathered "Blitzball!"
"Hey! You okay?" Asked a guy with blonde hair to him
"Heeey!" Jurina goes under water, hits the ball into the air with his head, and once in the air, does a double-legged bicycle kick. The person on the beach with blonde hair narrowly avoids the ball hitting his head.
"Whoa whoaa!" said the blonde haired guy surprised.
He looks at Jurina, smirks, and smiles. Jurina approaches the group on the beach. Two people turn away from the one who spoke before and leave. The person turns around and his mouth opens in surprise. Him and his posse surround Jurina
"Yo! Hi there!” said Jurina
"Y-you wanna try that move one more time?" Asked the blonde haired guy
"Finally, things were starting to look up."
A blitzball is thrown into the air. The group steps back. The blitzball bounces off of Jurina’s forehead, he then proceeds to bicycle kick it at an incredible speed into the water. Everyone gasps.
"You're no amateur. Who you play for?" asked the blonde haired guy
"The Zanarkand Abes!" said Jurina
Everyone gasps and talks amongst each other
"What team you say again?" the guy asked again
"Uh, I meant... Forget that." Said Jurina. "I got too, uh...close to Sin and my head's all foggy-like. So I don't know where this place is. Or even where I came from….. well you know!"
"Sin's toxin got to you. But, you're still alive." Said the blonde haired guy "Praise be to Yevon!" he continues.
Everyone does this gesture right forearm over left forearm, fingers spread out, hands curved in the shape of a circle, and bow. It's the exact same gesture the kids did to Jurina back in Zanarkand at the start of the game. It'll be known henceforth as the "prayer gesture"
"All right, back to practice!" said The blonde haired guy
"I'm Kai, Takahashi Kai. Coach and captain of the Besaid Aurochs, brudda."
“Whoaa that’s nice!” said Jurina “Even I don’t know what team is this…” he thoughts.
Jurina’s stomach growls
"What? You hungry?" asked Kai "Okay! Back to the village. I'll get you somethin' for ya!"
"I felt like I could trust this Kai, so I just had to ask." Jurina thought
"Hey!” Jurina calls for Kai, and he turns back “It's true Zanarkand was destroyed, right? A thousand years ago?"
"So it's just a big pile of rubble now, isn't it?"
"Long time ago, there were a whole lot of cities in Spira. Big cities with machina--machines--to run 'em." Kai said "People played all day and let the machina do the work. And then, well, take a look." He continues
"Sin came, and destroyed the machina cities. And Zanarkand along with 'em."
"Yeah, that was about a thousand years ago, just like you said. If you ask me, Sin's our punishment for letting things get out of hand. What gets me, though... is we gotta suffer, 'cause of what some goofballs did way back when! Course, we must always repent for our sins! That's important! It's just that, it's hard to keep at it sometimes, you know?" he laughs
“It was just as Minami said. Kai and Minami couldn't both be lying. Why would they?"
"But you from the Zanarkand Abes--that was a good one!" Kai said looking at Jurina "Hey, I'm not saying that team never existed, ya?" he said again, "But you gotta figure a team living in luxury like that'd be pretty soft, eh?"
"I appreciated the fact that Kai is trying to cheer me up. But at that time, all I think is... everything that happened to me--all this--started with Sin. Maybe if I could find Sin one more time, I could go home! For now, I'd just live life until that time came. No more worrying about where, or when, I was. Sure it was hard not to think of home. But I started to feel better already. A little better...maybe."
"Hey! It's this way!" Kai said. Jurina follows him
Kai runs and Jurina still follows him. He eventually approaches Kai, as the two of them stand over a ledge. Below the ledge is a large body of water. Jurina looks down at the water, while Kai stealthily moves behind him
"Huh?" Jurina said looks at his back. Kai pushes him with one arm. “Heyyy!” Jurina falls and goes "Waaah", landing with a splash. Kai, jumped there, dives into the water after Jurina
"What's the big idea?" said Jurina
Jurina and Kai make their way through the water. At one part, Kai goes up behind Jurina and gets him in a headlock
"Heyy, let me go! ahahahah" Jurina yells at Kai that started to tickle him "Got a favor to ask ya."
"You want me on your team, right?" Jurina asked . Kai let go of Jurina sinks, then surfaces again
"A major blitz tournament's coming up. All the teams in Spira'll be there! It's so huge, I'm sure someone there will recognize you! Then you can go back to your old team, right? It'll be fun! What do you say, huh? Come on, come on!" said Kai
Jurina solemnly floats, looking at the guy "Sure thing." He said then swims away
"Dude! Our team is gonna rock, eh?" said Kai and swims after him.
"I thought then that blitzball and Sin were the only things that Spira and Zanarkand had in common. I wasn't too far off, either." Jurina thought
Jurina, now on solid ground, walks to the edge of a cliff with Kai. Below the cliff, in the distance, is a village
"This is where I was born. I started blitz when I was five. I joined the Aurochs at thirteen...ten years ago. Ten years...and we never won a game…. Well, after last year's tournament, I quit. Time seemed right.” Kai said a little disappointed
Kai walks to the village. Jurina' stomach growls, and he follows him
"So, after quitting, I got this new job, ya? But every time my mind wandered, I thought about the game." Kai said
"Ten years without a single win'll do that." Jurina replied
"My first match last year was my big chance." Kai said “But something else was on my mind. I couldn't focus."
"Nice excuse." Said Jurina
"Hey, hey!" Kai calls for him
"So you want to win the next tournament--go out with a bang."
Jurina said to Kai, Kai nods.
"So, what's our goal?"
"I don't care how we do. Long as we play our best. If we give it our all, I can walk away happy. Seeing everyone happy is enough for me." Kai said
"No, no, no, no, no. If I say ‘What's our goal?’ you have say ‘Victory!’ When you play in a blitzball tournament, you play to win!" Jurina said and punch the air
"Victory? You serious?" said Kai “Wait, now you really sounds like the cap’n here nyaahahahahaha”
“You said that you were their coach! So you’re the cap’n huh ahahahhahaha”
They both laughs so loud and.. Jurina’s stomach grumbles again. They make their way to Kai's town, along the way, the encounter two people the two who walked away from Kai when Jurina and Kai first met.
"Ah, the one from the sea!" said the one of the guys "Be on guard. There're fiends on the road today!" said the other guy
"After surviving your run-in with Sin, it would be a shame if something happened now." The first guy continues
"Who were they?" Asked Jurina
"Gon and Mori--Crusaders." Kai said "Crews of what?" asked Jurina
"Wha--, you forgot that too?" asked Kai shocked
Jurina hangs his head, "Hey, sorry. Don't worry about it, I'll help you out." Kai said.
Jurina just lifts his head "Cool..! In return, come tournament time, I'll make sure we take the cup!"
"Cool. Anyway, About the Crusaders, you can ask them yourself. They've got a lodge in the village."
They walks again and finally, they reach the village,
"This is my village, it called ‘Besaid Village.’" Kai said
"They got any food there?" Jurina asked. “He doesn’t listen to me at all” Kai sighed, We'll get you something over there later. Take a look around first. Let's see..."
"The Crusaders lodge is over yonder. Gon and Mori are usually there." He points at the Crusaders lodge, which is a large blue tent, is shown
"Oh, right.. Over here!"
"Huh? What's up?" asked Jurina.
"You do remember the prayer, right?"
"I-I don't remember… tehehehe" Jurina said scratches his head. "I didn't know it in the first place, to tell the truth."
"Man, you forget that too!? *sigh* that's like the basics of the basics. Alright, I'll show you." Then he does the prayer the hand gestrues that him and his Aurochs did to Jurina on the beach when they first met
"Go ahead, you try."
“Okay” Jurina tries it. "Hey, not bad."
"Okay, now go present yourself to the temple summoner." Kai said points at the temple. Not far in front of them, "Any blitzball player would know that prayer. It was the blitzball sign for victory."
“Ahh now I get it” Jurina goes to the temple. Several people are inside, praying to statues. Jurina looks around
"It was then, standing in that place. I began to realize how different this world was from my own."
Jurina approach a statue of a man, clad in a robe and holding a staff. A man approaches Jurina
"Ten years have passed since Lord Braska became high summoner. And finally we received a statue for our temple." Said that man
"What's a high summoner?" asked Jurina. Everyone gasps when they hear it.
"I...I got too close to Sin's, uh, toxin." He said acting like an idiot person. "It was funny hearing myself make the same excuse over and over. Funny, and a little sad."
“oh.. praised to the Yevon! And you’re still alive!” hearing that words comes out from that man just make Jurina gave him a forced smile, really looks like that he already forgets almost everything from that ‘toxin’.
“Okay, let me explain. The summoners are practitioners of a sacred art, sworn to protect the people of Yevon. Only a chosen few become summoners, who call forth entities of great power: the aeons. The aeons hear our prayers and come down to us. They are the blessing of Yevon."
"So what he meant... was that we should respect some kinda great man or something like that...I figured."
After do the praying, Jurina heading back to Kai’s hut,
"Oh Jurina! Already do the pray?” asked KaI. Jurina goes “Uh-huh”
“That was fast! Err.. Sorry, man. No time for lunch yet. Just take a nap! You look bushed."
“Oh.. Okay”
Jurina sleeps. The man from the temple who spoke to Jurina enters the hut. Kai stands up.
"You could at least go see how they are doing." Said that man
"We can't interfere. It's a rule." Kai said
"But, it's been nearly..."
They both walk out of the hut.
Jurina has a dream/flashback- several people are gathered around on a dock, in front of a boat, in Zanarkand. They seem to be talking to a young woman
"But, it's been nearly..."
"It's been nearly a day already."
"Perhaps you could go look for us."
"*sigh*People are searching for him now."
then A man walks away, leaving the woman alone
"Thank you."
She clasps her hands, as if in prayer. Scene changes to a young Jurina and the woman, who is, in fact, his mother
"Who cares whether he comes back or not?" said the young Jurina
"But he might die! He.. he is your father, Jurina.. "
"Fine, let him!" Jurina yells
"Do you..... Do you hate him so?" the young Jurina nods "If he dies, you'll never be able to tell him how much you hate him.." said his mother
[Ends of FLASHBACK]
Jurina wakes up in the hut, all alone
"Kai?" he couldn’t find Kai in there. Jurina returns to the temple. Kai and the man from earlier are there
"Kai!” Jurina said approaches him, “Is something wrong?"
"*Sigh* The summoner hasn't returned from the trial." Kai said. He looks a little depressed
"Eh?"
"Well, apprentice summoner, really..."
"Ah?"
"What the-- There's a room in there called the Cloister of Trials. Beyond is where the apprentice summoner prays. If the prayer is heard, the apprentice becomes a fully-fledged summoner, remember?" Kai explains "So someone is in there somewhere and they haven't come back out. Right, I got it." Said Jurina
"A day's already gone by..." Kai said
"Is it particularly dangerous in there?" Jurina asked
"Sometimes, yes.."
“HUH? Hey, Why don't you go in and help?" he asked again “There's already guardians in there. Besides, it's forbidden."
“Gezz..” Jurina runs partway up the staircase that leads to the door to the Cloister of Trials, "Hey, but what if somethin' happens? What if the summoner dies!?"
"The precepts must be obeyed!"
"Like I care!"
“WHA- wait, JURINA!”
Jurina runs up the rest of the stairs and enters the door. The people in the temple gasp
“Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all”.
Jurina makes his way through the Cloister of Trials. Kai eventually meets up with him
"Hey! What's gotten into you?!"
"Hey, it's okay. Only summoners, apprentice summoners, and their guardians can enter here. It's a tradition. Very important." Kai said
"So what about you?" Jurina said crosses his arms
"Hell, Me? I'm a guardian." Kai said pridefully. "hmm… a guardian?"
“Follow me” Kai takes hold on Jurina’s hand, and take him with he. They Standing on a stone platform elevator of sorts, they begin moving downwards
"Summoners go on a pilgrimage to pray at every temple in Spira. Guardians protect them. The guardians in there now... One of them's got a short fuse, and who knows what the other's thinking. Well, now that we've come this far... might as well go all the way!"
They walk into a room. There are two other people there: one, a woman with black short hair wearing a black dress (and big oppai) the other, a tall beast. The woman is the only one of the two who speaks
"What are you doing here? Didn't think we'd be able to handle it?" said that woman
"No, it's uh...it's just..." Kai turns to Jurina "See, I told you she gets mad easy." He whispers
"Is the summoner all right?" Jurina asked
"Wait.. who are you?" asked the woman
Jurina, Kai, the woman and the beast stand in front of a large doorway. It opens up, and the apprentice summoner wanders out. She begins to tumble. Everyone gasps. The beast races forward and catches her, while growling. The apprentice summoner fixes her raven hair and stands up straight.
"I-I've done it. I have become a summoner!" said the summoner gives a bright smile
“Wha—“ Jurina said with his jaws opened. He was about to droll. “Hey, snap out!” Kai said, the woman goes “Tsk” while the beast just stay silence.
They back in the first room of the temple, several people surround the summoner and her guardians.
"Man, was I surprised. And here I was thinking summoners were all old geezers… but this one is too--- Adorable" Jurina said looking to that Summoner. Then he runs out of the temple
"Jurina, over here!" Kai said waved at Jurina.
Kai takes hold of Jurina and drags him towards a circle that the summoner and her female guardian are standing in. They join a group of people standing around the circle. The guardian steps out of the circle and joins them
"What? Ow!"
"Wait till you see this!"
"See what?! I can’t see anything!"
"Ready!" Kai said
"Okay."
The summoner performs a series of motions and gestures. The aeon is summoned; a large multi-coloured bird-like creature. It descends; the summoner strokes its neck. Everyone is pleased. Kai and the female guardian enter the circle to congratulate the summoner
"I had never seen anything like it in my life. Sure, it was a little scary, but still... I could feel a strange kind of gentleness coming from it." Jurina thoughts “But truly that girl is way to beautifu~l”
“Valefor, my.. my first aeon! Said the summoner girl smiling
-Nighttime-
Jurina and Kai are standing in front of the rest of the Besaid Aurochs
"Let me introduce you to the team. This guy here wants into the tournament so bad, I let him on the team. His memory's a little (so) fuzzy, so don't mind him if he says anything odd Hahahahaha, Come on, say hi."
Jurina steps forward, and scratches the back of his head. All is silent for a few moments
"Uh... Hi, guys.. I’m Matsui Jurina"
"Matsui?" said the one of the Aurochs
"Whoaa Are you related to lady Rena??" said the other person from Aurochs
"Sugeee"
"Wait,, What?!" Jurina asked suprised
"Lady Rena's full name is Matsui Rena-sama" said the first guy from the Aurochs
"Yea, Gon was right"
"Ugh.. Is this means that she is my great grand daughter?! No WAY!"
"M-maybe it was just a coincidence ahahaha"
"Well you got a point there"
"You right, Mocchi, his face is to different than Lady Rena"
"Well.... So what is our goal?" Asked Jurina
"To do our best!" Said the Aurochs
"Nope, we got a new goal now! Our new goal...is victory!" Said Kai “To win every match, defeat every opposing team! To bring the Crystal Cup back to our island! That's all we need to do to win! Easy, ya?"
"Victory..."
The Aurochs repeatedly say, and eventually yell, "Victory" over and over. Jurina looks over at the summoner, who's sitting down talking with a few of the townspeople
"Victory! Victory! Victory!" said the Aurochs
Jurina walks over to the summoner. Three people an old man, and old woman, and a kid, each have pleasant things to say to Jurina in succession
"You heathen!"
"Stay away from the summoner!"
"You're a bad man!"
The summoner stands up
"Lady Rena! Be careful!"
"But it was really my fault to begin with." The summoner replies, then she walks over to Jurina. "I'm Rena.. Thank you so much for your help earlier." She said bows at Jurina and gives him a bright smile like before
"I-I'm sorry about that. Wasn't that... Wasn't I not supposed to... Guess I...kind of overreacted." Jurina said a little blushed
"Oh, no. I was...overconfident." said Rena
"Umm, I saw that aeon thing. That's amazing!" said Jurina
"Really? Do you think I can become high summoner?" Jurina nods. Then a kid approaches
"Lady Rena, come play with me some more!"
Rena nods, and turns back to face Jurina
“Hell I’m going to kill that kid!”
"So, tomorrow, then." Said Rena
"T-Tomorrow?" asked Jurina surprisingly "We're going on the same boat, aren't we?" Rena answered "Oh, r-really?" “OH YEAH BABY!!”
"We can talk more, You can tell me all about Zanarkand! Jaa… Matta nee" then Rena walks away. Kai walks beside Jurina and gives him a light friendly elbow in the arm
"That night, we talked for the first time. I didn't know it then, but after that night, everything changed. For everyone... For me..."
"Hohoho he's cute, ya?"
"hell.. Yeah!" he said in agreement. “hey, Rena's a fox”
"Don't get no ideas." Kai said teasingly
"No promises there, big guy." He mockingly, "Hey, but what if she, like, comes on to me?" Jurina said smirking, gives Kai a perverted sight with his hand on his chin.
"That's not going to happen.. If you get tired, let me know. I had a bed made for you."
Jurina talk for a while with the Aurochs first before going to sleep. And then he approaches Kai
"Hm? Ready for bed?"
“Umm yeaa..” he said rubbing his eyes "Good. Sleep tight."
Jurina has a dream. He's sitting on a dock, staring out at the sea. He stands up and runs across the pier, meeting Rena, who's also standing there, looking out to sea
"Where's that boat?" Jurina asked
"Everyone will find us if it doesn't come soon." Said Rena
"You really sure this is okay?" Jurina asked
"Would you take me to Zanarkand?" Rena asked back to him
“Hey!” said Minami "You said you'd go with me!"
"Wha-- Oh, hey... I, uh..."
"I thought Kai told you not to get any ideas?" Minami asked
"He did?" Rena asked
"Yeah, so you're coming with me!" Minami said
"Hey! Stop dreaming, Juriboy!" a figure said standing on a beach
"You with a woman? You can't even catch a ball!" Kumi (Jurina’s father) said
a young Jurina is sitting on the pier, face-down, crying
"Oh, what's the matter?" Kumi standing on the beach, with Rena and Minami standing beside him
"Gonna cry again? Cry, cry. That's the only thing you're good for!"
"I hate you." The crying Jurina said
"Huh? What'd you say?" Kumi said. young Jurina standing up on the pier, looking downwards
"You have to speak loudly." Rena said giving him some efforts
Jurina looks up "I hate you!"
"Heeh?" Kumi said in a big confusion
"That's the spirit!" Minami said
"You can do it!" Rena said
[end of the dream]
Jurina wakes up
"I hate you!" He began to quiet. "He's dead, okay? Dead!" Jurina walks to the doorway and looks outside. The female guardian is speaking to Kai
"He does look a lot like Minami. I was surprised, too, the first time I saw him.”
“W-wait.. Minami?!” Jurina suprised
“But no matter what he looks like, he isn't Takamina.” Said the female guardian
“Atsuko!”
"You shouldn't have brought him here in the first place!" Atsuko said
"Yeah, but...he needed our help!" Kai said
"Excuses again?"
"Yeah, but..."
"That's it. No more. Enough, Kai!" Atsuko walks away. Kai signs and returns to the tent Jurina is in
"Wow.. Scary!"
"So, who's this Minami?" Jurina asked hoping that this one is not the same ‘Minami’ that he meet before
"My little brother, Takahashi Minami. He really looked like you."
"He's dead?" Asked Jurina
"He was with the Crusaders when they fought Sin last year. He didn't make it. I first heard on the day of the tournament."
"Oh, so that's why."
"I became a guardian to fight Sin, ya?"
"Oh.. so it’s a revenge, then?"
"That was the idea. I'm more worried about a stupid game now than avenging my brother. Well, after the next tournament, I'll be a guardian full-time. I know it kinda looks like I'm using you, but I'm not." Kai said. He kinda looks sad.
"Don't worry. I mean, I owe you a lot. You really helped me out, you know? What I mean is... thanks, Kai." Jurina extends his hand for a handshake. Kai lifts his hand, but pulls away
"Heyy, Stop, you're embarrassing me!" Kai said embarrassed
Resumes in the morning. Jurina exits the hut. Atsuko and Kai are talking Jurina runs up to them
"Hey! Sleepyhead! Something I want to give you!”
Kai hands Jurina a sword that is crystal blue
"Whoa! You're giving this...to me?"
"Yeah, use it well!"
"That's the sword you gave Takamina." Atsuko said looking at him
"Well, he never used it." Kai said stuck his tongue. “Where's Rena anyway?"
"We're taking the same boat as Rena, right? Why do we gotta wait here?" asked Jurina
"Rena came to this village ten years ago, when the last Calm started."
"The Calm?"
"Since then, she's been like a little sister to me and Atsuko. But she had the talent... She became an apprentice. Now, today, she leaves as a summoner."
"This is our journey... We should leave together." Atsuko said. Rena exits the temple with several suitcases
"W—What a… You really don't need all that luggage, Rena…"
"They're not really my things. They're gifts for the temples we're to visit." Said Rena
"This isn't a vacation, Rena." Kai said
"I guess...I guess you're right."
She leaves the luggage behind and approaches the trio
"Okay! Off we go!"
Rena takes one last look at the temple, and walks off. The four of them leave Besaid and make their way to the harbor.
“Okay, time to put this things on~” Kai said
“What was that?!”
“My special battle thingy hohohoho” Kai said laughing in horror holding that spiky metal blitzball that created for attack the fiends, and that chain.
“Somehow he looks evil when he touches that thing” Jurina thought.
Along the way, a couple of fiends approach them.
“Okay.. some ‘fiend’” Jurina said to him self in ‘ready to fight’ mode. “You can fight right?” Kai asked holding his spiky things. “Just let this one to me!” Jurina sliced a beast in two. And tries to cut the flying one, “Hell wha—“ The flying creature success avoided Jurina’s attack.
“You’re good, but not good enough to beat that thing hahahaha. That thing is my specialist!” he said and then throws some of the chain that tied that flying creature, then trows that ball with full power. Which one makes that flying creature died in just one attack.
“Whooaa” Jurina said amazed
“Showing up eh, Kai. Usually you don’t need those chains to a small enemies like that” Atsuko smirks
“Stop it, Acchan!” Kai said blushing.
“I-I don’t wanna loose! Jurina yells. Then he tried to attack the one that looks like jelly. But he even can’t hurt that thing. “those weak to magic, give it to Atsu!” Kai said. Atsuko just smirks and use her magic to beat that Jelly-like creature.
“You have to teach me THAT!” Jurina said. Atsuko just stay silent. “She was so cold..” Jurina said whispers to Kai, Kai just give him a small laugh.
They continue the walk. And ‘again’ a fiend. But this one is a little different. This one is bigger and can fly.
“Are you going to beat that thing too, Kai?” Atsuko said smirking at him..
“Just let me do it using my new Aeon!” Rena suddenly appears from their back. Asked Acchan to let her beat this one. Acchan can’t refuse, and so she let Rena to do it. Rena summons Valefor, and it just take 2 minutes to beat that thing up.
Everyone was speechless.
After beating that fiend, they get to the cliff overlooking Besaid that Kai and Jurina were at earlier. Atsuko and Rena look at the village
"Take your time." Acchan said
"Let's get going, man!" Jurina said
"We're gonna wait." Kai said. Jurina goes "Huh?". And Rena walks in between them "Are you ready?" asked Kai to Rena
Rena nods and walks off. Atsuko follows, nods to Kai, and follows Rena
"What's going on?" Jurina approaches Kai, who's praying to a stone statue
"It's an ancient custom. People leaving the island pray here for a safe trip. Takamina didn't pray that day. Said he'd miss his boat." Kai explained
“Okay, Fine!” Jurina pray with him.
"That should do it!" Kai said
The group continues along the path of Besaid Island. Rena's beastly guardian jumps down from several structures, landing in front of Jurina. He smashes his two fists into the ground and lets loose an incredible growl. A battle begins between the two of them. “Hell why are you attacking me?!!” Jurina Yells, but he didn’t answered, “You give me no choice!” They’re attacking each other. Seeing this things, Kai throws his ball right between Jurina and that beast as a warn.
"That's enough!"
Kai walks towards Jurina. The beast walks away,
"What's with that guy?"
Atsuko
"Akimahri Sayaka, of the Ronso tribe. He's learned the fiends' way of fighting."
"That's not what I meant!"
"He's another of Rena's guardians." Kai said. Jurina goes "huh?". Rena giggles and walks onto them.
"Sometimes we don't understand him either. Sayaka-san doesn't talk much anyway." Rena said. Kai says an exclamatory "hmm"
"But he has protected me since I was a child!" Jurina says an inquisitive "hmm"
“I have to be careful—ahahaha” Jurina said to himself
They make their way to the beach more specifically, the harbour, to where the boat is. As the boat leaves, Rena watches the dock, where people are gathered, sad to see that she's going. They wave and cry she does a couple of prayer gestures
"Goodbye." Rena said waving to the prayer
The boat leaves, and heads for Kilika Port

Yes! I got an Al-Bhed Primer! Just a few more and I'll be totally fluent hehehe!!!
I guess putting Atsumina in as Wakka and Lulu is not a bad choice since you put in Kai as Wakka and Takamina as Chappu. Makes sense since Lulu was supposed to marry Chappu but he died so she ended up with Wakka. By using alter egos of one person, we still end up with AtsuMina. Good thinking there!
Sayaka as Kimahri. Good choice! Putting in all that AkiGori into use.

From Past to The Future

Chapter 4: Kilika and The Fayth
Everyone's on board the boat heading for Kilika Port. Someone with a pair of binoculars is looking out at the city. Jurina goes up to her, does a series of somersaults and tumbles, and finally grabs it. He looks at the city, then Kai, then Atsuko, then Rena and Akimahri. Rena waves at him. The binocular girl grabs them back. He scratches the back of his head and giggles
Jurina approaches Rena, who's surrounded by a group of people
"Word is that summoner's got noble blood!" said a random people
"I heard she's Lord Matsui's daughter!" said another people
"Ya don't say?"
"Lord Matsui's...daughter?" Jurina murmured. He wonder about what’s those people were talking about. And he goes to talk to Kai. "So, is Rena's father famous or something?"
"Ah, Jurina! She's the daughter of High Summoner Matsui! You saw his statue at the temple. Lord Matsui defeated Sin ten years ago. Rena's the heir to a great legacy!"
"It's tough when your father's famous." He let out a big sigh, and then stood near the boat’s sidewalk. Kai goes "Huh?"
"Kai's...a bit lacking in the imagination department." Atsuko suddenly spoke up. Kai goes "Huh?" again. Jurina giggles
"Thank, Atsuko. I'll keep that in mind ahahaaha."
Everyone walks away from Rena. Jurina walks up beside her. They're both at the front of the boat, looking out to sea. Jurina stretches
"The wind...it's nice." Said Rena. Jurina goes "Mmhmm". Then, for no particular reason, they start giggling and laughing. "You're a blitzball player, aren't you? From Zanarkand, right?" Said Rena again
Jurina turned to Rena "You hear that from Kai? Kai doesn't believe me at all."
"But I believe you!" Rena said. Jurina mutters a "Huh?". "I've heard in Zanarkand... there is a great stadium, all lit up even at night! Great blitzball tournaments are held there, and the stands are always full!" she continues
"Heyy, wait, How do you know that?" Jurina said still confused
"A man named Kumi told me. He was my father's guardian." Rena answered. Jurina looks surprised, then slightly pissed, and turns around, muttering "Kumi" in a low voice several times "My father...his name is Kumi!"
"Amazing!" She does the prayer gesture. “You know, our meeting like this must be the blessing of Yevon!" Rena said
"Sounds like him, but it can't be him."
"Ehh? Why not?" Rena said moving closer to Jurina
"My old man, he died. Ten years ago, off the coast of Zanarkand."
Rena turns away "I'm sorry." She looks down.
"He went out to sea for training one day...and never came back. And no one's seen him since then."
"Why, that's the day that Kumi came to Spira. It's true! I first met Kumi ten years and three months ago! I remember, that was the day my father left. The date fits, doesn't it?" Rena said, trying to make the story fits Jurina’s story. Jurina fumbles with her words
"Yeah, but how would he get here?" Jurina replied still in disbelieve
"You're here, are you not?" They look at each other. Rena smiles and giggles. Jurina smiles too. All of the sudden, the boat shakes and rumbles. Rena falls down; Jurina grabs hold of her hand. The ship begins tilting to one side. Jurina and Rena's grip fails. Rena falls to the side of the ship. Akimahri jumps to there and holds her. The ship levels out. A massive grey fin shoots out of the water.
"Sin!" Everyone gasps. The one who yelled "Sin!" positions himself behind a harpoon
"What do you think you're doing? Stick a harpoon in him and we'll all get dragged under!" Kai yells to that person.
"Sin is going for Kilika! We gotta distract it!" said a person behind a harpoon
"Our families are in Kilika! Forgive us, Lady Summoner!" said the other guy. Rena nods
"Wait!" Kai yells, try to stop them. “Oh, boy..."
They fire the harpoon at the fin another harpoon is fired. The two harpoons connect. The fin drags the boat along. A ton of water splashes onto the deck. Jurina looks around for a hand to grab. Tons of small pods from the fin are let loose onto the deck of the ship; they transform into bug things.
A battle begins vs. the bug things, and a boss, Sin (which is really Sin's fin) started~
“Oh SH*T! we meet again, fella!!” Jurina said welcoming the bugs with his sword.
“Hey, you know ‘em?” Asked Kai, still busy throwing his spiky blitzball and tied the bugs with his chain.
“Hell yea of course I DO KNOW THEM! Arrgh!” Jurina said still trying to cut off the bugs.
“Speak later, let’s clean up these things first!” Warn Atsuko. Still busy casting magics. “Kai, give me some Ether!”
“O-okay” without saying many words, he throws the Ether to Atsuko. Atsuko catches the Ether and drinks it. “Oh yeah! You will regret casting this cuts in my body, you B*ITCHY BUGS!” then she rushes to the bugs and defeated them.
“WOW, she can be that wild too? Awesome!” Jurina said, releasing his block and attacks the bugs.
“Just say it is her other personality when it comes to fight.. hey, Akimahri, Jurina, just attack the bugs, will ya? I will attack his fin!” Answer Kai throwing his blitzball to Sin’s fin.
They do this for few rounds. Eventually, it gets defeated.
Sin tears out the harpoon device and swims away. All is silent in the boat. Kai looks around frantically. He then dives into the water. Underwater, Jurina is floating without moving. Several fish attack him. “DIE, FISHY!” Kai throws his blitzball and the fish die. He then casts a spell on Jurina, who wakes up. He gives Jurina the thumbs up symbol. Before they can return to the boat, they got a battle to face Sinspawn Echuilles.
“They’re here too?!” Jurina said surprised, but also amazed by this creature.
“Here, your sword!” Kai throws Jurina’s sword, Jurina catches it. Kai throw and wrapped the chain on that creature. “JURINA, NOW!” Jurina swims to that thing, then throws him a few slices. It gets defeated and blows up
-Meanwhile in Kilika-
The quiet town of Kilika... a massive tidal wave approaches. Some kids are playing with a blitzball and see it, but it's too late. The entire city is engulfed in water. Everything begins to get sucked into the guy houses, humans, everything. In the sky, a whirlwind of corpses and debris is formed, above Sin, who's floating on the surface. Then the end blow a shot of the city, peaceful once more, with debris and a lone blitzball floating in the water...
-Back to the Boat-
"When Sin attacked Zanarkand that day, I woke up in Spira.
"I kept hoping it would work in reverse, too."
Rena looks outwards, sadly "I will defeat Sin... I must defeat Sin."
"I was just fooling myself."
"Maybe it was that day... on the sea, under the burning sun."
Various shots of people on the boat, heads hanging in sadness, are shown
"I started to give up hope."
"I was in a foreign world, I wasn't going home."
"This was my new reality and I was stuck in it for good."
Screen fades to black. It fades back in on Kilika harbour. Rena approaches several people
"Greetings! I am the summoner Rena. I have come from the temple in Besaid." Said Rena.
"M'lady Summoner!"
"If there is no other summoner here, please allow me to perform the sending." Rena said to the people.
"Thanks be to ye!"
"Our loved ones... We feared they would become fiends!"
"Please, take me to them." Said Rena
Two people lead the way. Rena follows, as does the rest of the group, except for Kai and Jurina
"We'll go see what we can do to help in town." Kai said to Jurina.
Kai and the Aurochs run off. Jurina follows. On the next screen, several people are standing, looking out to the water silently. Jurina approaches Atsuko "Uh, what's a ‘sending’? Are we going somewhere?"
"You truly are clueless. Are you sure it's just your memory that's the problem?" Atsuko let out a big sigh, and shook her head "The dead need guidance." She continues
In the background, Rena is talking to someone
"Filled with grief over their own death, they refuse to face their fate. They yearn to live on, and resent those still alive. You see, they envy the living. And in time, that envy turns to anger, even hate. Should these souls remain in Spira, they become fiends that prey on the living. Sad, isn't it? The sending takes them to the Farplane, where they may rest in peace."
"Summoners do this?" Jurina asked. Atsuko goes "Hmm". They turn to face Rena. She begins to step onto the water
Rena walks on the water. She begins moving around with her wand/sceptor. In the background, the people of Kilika cry. Atsuko, Jurina, and Akimahri watch on. Small globes of energy begin to rise out of the water, gathering upwards. Nearbye, a flame turns blue. The water Rena's standing on rises into the air, bringing her up with it, as she continues the motions, while the strands of energy (the souls of the dead, more or less) begin to fly up as well. People keep crying.
Rena walks back towards the others
"It must be tough, being a summoner." Jurina said.
"Rena chose her own path. She knew from the beginning what it meant. All we can do is protect her along the way. Until the end." Atsuko replied.
"Until the...end? What's the end?"
Everyone turns and stares at Jurina. Atsuko gets visibly frustrated "Until she defeats Sin." Atsuko said and then walks away. Rena runs up to Atsuko
"I hope... I hope I did okay." Rena said looking at the older girl. Atsuko puts her arms around her, "You did very well. They've reached the Farplane by now. But...no tears next time, hm?" Atsuko said trying to cheer the younger one.
"I wished there would never be a next time. No more people being killed by Sin. No more sendings for Rena."
"Everyone stood there watching her."
"It was strange, and somehow...horrifying."
"I never wanted to see it again."
Screen goes black Jurina sleeps, and wakes up in the inn. He stretches. He leaves the inn; Oya from the Aurochs runs up to him
"Hey! You awake? Cap'n Kai's waitin' for you!" the one of the Aurochs said, Oya to Jurina.
“Aye aye~” then Jurina goes to meet Kai. Kai is helping the Aurochs to fix a damaged boat
"Ah, there you are! Besaid Aurochs! Huddle!" The Aurochs leave the boat to rejoin Kai and Jurina
"On to the temple, where we pray for victory!"
The Aurochs leave
“High Summoner Matsubara used to live in the Kilika temple here. Yep, Lord Matsubara was once a great blitzer, you know?"
"Kai..."
"Hm?"
"Praying for victory's all good...but is this right?" Jurina Asked
"Something wrong with enjoying blitzball?" Kai said
"Is this really the time?" Asked Jurina again
"This is the only time! The players fight with all their strength: the fans cheer for their favorite team. They forget pain, suffering... only the game matters! That's why blitz has been around for so long. Least that's what I think." Kai explained
"Whatever you say then." Jurina said, still in bored face.
"Let's play...and win! Right?" Kai said, punches the air
"Right!" Jurina said and did the same with his midget captain. Kai turns around
"Temple's beyond the jungle there. Let's go!" Kai said, bringing Jurina with him. They go to the jungle. Atsuko and Rena are there
"What's up?" Kai said
"Rena's saying she wants you with us, Jurina." Atsuko said. Jurina exclaims a surprised "Huh?"
"I want to ask you to be my guardian." Rena said
"Rena! What? This is no time for jokes, ya? He may be a blitzball whiz kid, but up against fiends, he's a newbie." Kai said denied Rena’s words.
"Not a guardian, then... I just want him nearby." Rena said with her childish attitude. Kai is very surprised
"What? What do you mean?" Jurina still confused. It seems that our lady trapped in your charm already, Jurina. Fu..fu..fu..
Rena turns to Jurina, "It's just that, well..."
"We're all going to the temple anyway. Can't this wait till later?" Atsuko said. Rena nods, and turns back to face Jurina
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have..."
"There's nothing to be sorry about. I'm just not really sure what's going on." Jurina said to Rena, smiling sheepishly
"My apologies." Rena said
Akimahri walks to them and crosses his arms. Jurina and company run forward. Gon and Mori are there. In the background is a large red tentacle monster
"Company, halt!" Mori said
"The fiend before us is Ochu, Lord of the Wood! We've had trouble with this one before. Remember, discretion is the better part of valor." Gon continues
“Sure thing…” Atsuko turns to Akimahri “Let’s go, Sayaka!” Akimahri nodded and they run onto their enemy. “Hey I wanna fight too!” Rena said and follows them up.
Kai throws his blitzball several times. Akimahri with his power break. But it seems its wasn’t enough for this Ochu.
“Move aside!”Atsuko yells. Then she casts Fira spell to that Ochu. “Heyy!” Kai yelling at her, but it’s too late. He and Akimahri jump aside, avoiding the fire casts.
The Ochu burned and turned into ashes. Mori goes "Whooooa”
"A summoner and her guardians. Very impressive!" Gon said
"Sir, we should fight, too!" Mori said looks at Gon
"We'll get our chance soon enough." He replied
They begin to leave
"Young Crusaders gather round! We'll beat Sin into the ground!" Mori sings.
The group makes their way through the forest, eventually arriving at some stone steps
"These stone steps have a history, you know? Yep, Lord Matsubara trained here at his peak." Kai said
Jurina looks up the steps. The Aurochs stretch, and then laugh a somewhat evil laugh
"A race, huh? Think you can beat me?" Kai, Jurina, and two Aurochs line up in a row
"Rena, if you would." Kai said looking to Rena
"Ready?" Rena said. She begins to run up the steps
"Hey! Hey! That’s cheating!" Kai yells. Kai and the Aurochs follow her. Jurina runs up the steps after them. The Aurochs run back down
"L-Look out!" Oya said
"Everyone, quick! Sinspawn!" Kai warned
Atsuko, Sayaka, and Jurina run up the rest of the steps. Battle vs. Sinspawn Geneaux.
“Holy crap! HUUGE!” Jurina said Amazed by this thing again.
“Urm… guys if you don’t mind?” Rena smiling sheepishly. “Of course, I just want to ask you for it!” Kai said. Then Rena summon Valefor. Valefor attack this thing non-stop. It’s seemed that he wont give it a chance. “Guys, come here and help valefor!” Rena said. First is Jurina and Akimahri. They cuts its arm, and lower body while Atsuko and Kai attacks it’s upper body with spell and blitzball attack.
And it's defeated, of course. After the battle, Jurina is out of breath
"Yeesh!"
"Sorry about that! Hoped to break you in a little slower." Kai said
"Being a guardian's tiring!"
"You handled yourself pretty well. You got talent." Kai replied
"Nah.. So, what are these ‘Sinspawn’ anyway?" Jurina asked
"Fiends. They fall from Sin's body, and are left behind in its wake." Atsuko answered
"Leave 'em alone, and Sin comes back for 'em. You gotta be quick!" Kai continues
Everyone walks up the stairs, leaving Jurina alone
"Kai told me I had talent in battle..."
"I think that was when I started seriously considering becoming a guardian."
Jurina walks up the stairs and catches up with the others
"So, uh...they got fiends in Zanarkand, too?" Kai asked with his hand on his head
"Just a few. It's a big deal when one shows up, though. Hey! Since when have you believed me about Zanarkand, anyway?"
"I been thinking. Maybe people Sin gets to don't die. Maybe Sin carries 'em through time. Like a thousand years through time. And then, one day, maybe they just pop back, see?" Kai said
"Amazing. Simply amazing. You make up one theory after another, refusing to face the simple truth. Sin didn't take Minami anywhere. Sin crushed him and left him on the Djose shore! Your brother won't just pop back. Oh, and one more thing. No matter how much you want it, no one can take Minami's place. No one can replace Sir Kumi, for that matter. And there's no replacement for Lord Matsui, either. It's pointless to think about it, and sad." Atsuko said. Atsuko walks off, as does Sayaka. Rena follows them. Kai, sitting down, punches the ground
"I...I could never be what Minami was." Kai punches the ground. [poor ground]
Then He stands up
"Well, stuff happens. Best not to worry."Kai sighed
Kai walks up the stairs
"Kai, Atsuko, and Kai's brother Minami."
"Something had happened between them a long time ago. I was sure of it."
"Well, whatever it was, it was none of my business, that's for sure. Best not to go there."
Jurina runs up the stairs. An overview of the Kilika Temple is shown, as the group walks up the stairs and approaches it. A trio clad in purple outfits leave the temple, and walk towards the Aurochs
"You here to pray for victory, too?" Kai asked
"Us? Pray? Who needs to pray? The Luca Goers always win!"
"Oh, yeah? Then why are you here?" asked the Luca Goers
"We've been praying for some competition this year!" Gon said
"So what's your goal this time? You gonna "do your best" again? Ha! It's too bad your best isn't good enough! Why even bother showing up?" asked the Luca Goers guy
"This time, we play to win!" Jurina said with irritably tone
"Oooh! Play away! Just remember even kids can play, boys."
The trio walks away
"See you in the finals!" Kai said
"We'll beat them. We have to!" Jurina said irritably
"You know that team?" Asked Rena
"Putting people down... They're as bad as my old man!" Jurina said still in irritably tone. Especially the ‘old man’ one.
"But, Sir Kumi was a kind and gentle man!" denies Rena
"Well, not my Kumi." Jurina said
"Even ten years after he left..."
"just thinking about my old man got me angry. But maybe that was just my way of keeping him... Nah.."
Jurina enters the temple, and approaches the praying Kai
"Lord Matsubara, guide our feet." Kai said
Jurina prays too.
From the door that leads to the Cloister of Trials, a scantily-clad woman and a muscular man exit, and look at Rena
"A summoner, are you?"
The two of them walk down the steps to meet Rena face to face
"My name is Rena--from the Isle of Besaid." Said Rena
"Dada."
"So, you're High Summoner Matsui's daughter. That's quite a name to live up to. My, my, my... And all these people are your guardians? My, what a rabble! As I recall, Lord Matsui had only two guardians. Quality over quantity, my dear. Whatever were you thinking? I have need of only one guardian. Right, Sae?" She turns to her guardian. Sae, the muscular man, nods. Akimahri steps forward and faces him
“I only have as many guardians as there are people I can trust.I trust them all with my life! To have so many guardians is a joy, and an honor! Even more so than being my father's daughter. Of course, I would never think of questioning your ways, either. So, Lady Dada, I ask of you: please leave us in peace." Said Rena.
"You do what you want. Sae, we're leaving." Lady Dada said
Suddenly a woman appears and approaches Dada, “Irritating as ever, eh, DADA?!”
“Huh?” Dada turns to that voice. “Oh, it’s you, Kitagaga.” She said smirking. “So what’s your problem?”
“I should be the one who asking, lady DADA! Can’t you keep your bad attitude towards people? Hey, remember, you still new as a summoner, brat!”
“Unn unn, Gaga-san is right!” said a girl beside Kitagaga
“What did you said?!” Dada turns to that girl. Facing her with Lady DADA’s ultimate gori face. The girl goes “KYAAAN” and quickly hides behind Kitagaga
“Look are you, you make a girl scared like that! Just get out from here, gorilla!” Kitagaga said
“I’AM going to go.” Dada and her guardian run away. Rena sighs and looks at Kitagaga
“It’s okay, Miori—“ Kitagaga said to that girl.

"I wondered, did Rena feel that way about me?"
Rena looks at Jurina and smiles
"What's she smiling about?"
They enter the door that leads to the Cloister of Trials
"The fayth is below. Let's do it!" Kai said
"The "fayth"?" Jurina asked
"But first, the Cloister of Trials. Sayaka? Kai? Ready?" Atsuko asked to the other guardians. Kai and Sayaka nod
"Strength, everyone!" Rena said
Everyone steps onto the platform that leads them down. Sayaka pushes Jurina off
"Hey, what gives?" Jurina pouted
"You're not a guardian yet." Atsuko said
"We'll be back as soon as we can, okay?" Rena said
The platform descends
"Oh, sure! Soon like "tomorrow" soon, I bet!" Jurina said.
The platform returns. Dada and Sae enter
"Hi~ Where's Rena?" Dada asked. Jurina points to the platform
"Then why are you here?" Dada asked again
"Hey, I'm not a guardian, so I'm not supposed to go in, right?" Jurina said
"Not a guardian, you say?" Dada gives Sae a sign
Sae picks up Jurina
"Hey! Wait! Ah! Lemme go!" Jurina complains
Sae throws Jurina onto the platform
"Hey! What's the big idea?" he yells
"Just a little game. Bye bye" Dada said to Jurina, and waves her hand. Jurina goes "Huh?", as the platform descends
"This is bad, really bad." He runs to the door of the Cloister of Trials]
"Only guardians allowed, and I'm sure no guardian. Well, I guess it's too late now."
He enters the Cloister of Trials, and completes them. He eventually meets up with Atsuko, Akimahri, and Kai. Inside the room, a song can be heard. This same song is heard in all the areas near the Chambers of the Fayth it is known as the Hymn of the Fayth
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Kai looks at Jurina
"It was Dada and that big musclehead man!"
"Rena will be the one to suffer the consequences!" Atsuko said
"What consequences?" Jurina asked
"She could be excommunicated!"
They wait for Rena to be done
"Just wait." Kai said
"So, what's in there anyway?"
"The fayth, remember?"
"Oh yeah, that thing. Right."
"The fayth are people who gave their lives to battle Sin. Yevon took their souls, willingly given from their still-living bodies." Atsuko explained. Jurina goes “Huh?”
"Now they live forever, trapped in statues. But when a summoner beckons, the souls of the fayth emerge once again. That's what we call an aeon." Atsuko continues
"All that in this room? S-So what's Rena doing in there?" Jurina asked
"She prays with all her heart for a way to defeat Sin." Kai said
Rena exits from the Chamber of the fayth and falls on her knees. Atsuko and Kai run to her side
"There was something I didn't tell anyone else that day."
"That song we heard there, in the temple... I knew it from my childhood."
"It was proof that Spira and Zanarkand were connected somehow. At least to me it was."
"Maybe that's why, suddenly, I felt like...I just wanted to go home."
"I tried to say something, to tell them. But the words wouldn't come."
They leave the temple a group of people surround Rena, and nod. The screen goes white, and fades back in on another Jurina flashback. In it, he's surrounded by people, who are clapping, waving, and cheering him on (though we don't hear it)
"I thought I had put my feelings for Zanarkand behind me."
"But they were there, and they grew inside me, bigger and bigger, till I was just about ready to burst."
everyone leaving the temple. Jurina stops walking. Rena approaches him
"Are...are you okay?" Rena asked in worry
"I...I don't know." Jurina replied
"What do you want to do?" Rena asked
"To scream real loud." Jurina said. Rena giggles. Jurina screams real loud. Everyone turns around. Scene ends; everyone leaves the temple, makes their way through the forest, and head to the boat in the Kilika Port
"Off to Luca at last! The matches start soon as we get there, so rest up on the way, ya?" Kai said.
They get on board and the boat leaves

Nice. I smile everytime you mention Akimahri. It just fits so well I could not help but be amused (I'm not belittling Sayaka or anything. I actually like her. I want to see her beat the crap out of someone in real life with her martial arts moves).
How are you writing this anyway? Are you making a run through with the game everyday to get the dialogue? Or are you just using your memory?

From Past to The Future
Chapter 4.5: Famous Fathers
It's nighttime on the boat. Kai looks at Atsuko, and nods. They walk to the upper area of the boat where they'll be alone. Below, the Luca Goers and another person or two surrounded Rena and talk she giggles. Sayaka keeps a vigilant watch over her. In the deck below, the Aurochs are standing around, talking. Jurina is sitting down he stands up and goes to the deck specifically, Rena
"What are you all talking about?" Jurina asked in not-too-friendly tone
"Who are you supposed to be?" a guy from the Luca Goers move closer to Jurina with an arrogant face
"Ah, I remember him, Nito. Guy from Kilika." Answer the other guy who’s with him. Nito goes "Hmm?" and turns to his friend. “Which one, Rei-kun?”
"You know, one of the Besaid Aurochs. Said somethin' about winning the cup." He said wiping his nose
“Urmm…” suddenly he got something in mind, "Oh, right. You're that idiot."
"Don't call him that!" Rena tried to defend her prince
"But he is an idiot." He said not responding to Rena’s word. "They don't got what it takes to win the cup."
"Well, they do now that I'm here!" Jurina yells
"Yes, they will win!" Rena still defending "He used to be the star player of the Zanarkand Abes!" and again, still defending.
Rei laughs to himself "Yeah, as if anyone lived in those ruins."
"It's not ruins, there's a big city there! There is!" Rena argued. She really believe that Zanarkand is really exist.
Everyone stares at her
Seeing at this situation, Jurina tries to make the same excuse "I got too close to Sin and--"
"There is a city, really!" Rena cuts his words. This time with mad tone.
She turns her back to them
"Right. Whatever your Ladyship says." Nito and his gang walk away. Jurina approaches Rena
"What's wrong? You seemed kinda mad back there."
"They were being rude and..."
"I do believe your Zanarkand exists. I really do, you know!" Rena said stares at Jurina
"How come?" Jurina asked
"Sir Kumi used to always tell me stories. It'd be great to see your home someday." She walks around, "I'd love to go there." She stopped and looks at the sky
"Yeah." Jurina smiles at her and moving closer to her
The screen goes black
"So, Rena, wanna come over to my place?"
"Right, sure... As if I had a place to show her."
Jurina decides to eavesdrop on Kai and Atsuko
"Well? Say something. You'll take responsibility?" Atsuko asked in mad tone
"Relax! He's bound to know someone in Luca." Kai tries to calm Atsuko
"And if not?"
"He could always join a blitz team." Kai answered "Anyhow, it's better than just leaving him in Besaid!" he clarifies
"What? Just leaving him in Luca?" Atsuko glared at him
"What do you want me to do?" he answered with monotone
"Well… Rena wants to make him a guardian." She looks at the other side
"Oh yeah, geez... There's that too, eh?" Kai rubs his head
"And whose fault is that?" Atsuko tried to blame him.
"Hey, not mine!" They're silent for a few moments
"It is mine, huh?" he finally admitted "Why do you think she wants to make him a guardian, anyway?" he continues
"Because he's Sir Kumi's son."
"Oh, right." Kai crossed his arms, tried to thinking about something. "Wait, you sure 'bout that? He's really Sir Kumi's son, Acchan?" he asked again
"It's hard to say, but Rena seems to believe so." Atsuko rolled her eyes
"Okay."
"’Okay? Okay?’ That's all you have to say?" She yells and walk closer to Kai
"Well, yeah, I mean..." Kai tries to avoid Atsuko’s gaze, "He's gotta decide for himself, ya? Well, him and Rena, I guess."
"You're right, for once." She blushed and looks away
"Ahem!"
"I wonder which is best..." She looks up "Why don't you tell him he should?" and turns to Kai
"Should what?"
"Become Rena's guardian." She said a little pushy
"Hey, wait a sec! Why me?" he surprised
"Because Rena can't."
"Why not?" Kai asked again
Atsuko sighs, "He hates his father--what he was, what he did." Then turns to Kai again "Do you really think she can possibly say to him..."
"’I want you to be my guardian, like your father was to mine?’" she blinked her eyes, trying to copy Rena
"Aren't you being over-sensitive?" Kai pouted. Atsuko sighs,
"All right, all right." Kai closed his eyes "I'll try talking to him after the tournament." He continues
"Be discreet."
"I know. It's his decision." He puts his hand on his back "He doesn't like his father?"
"Apparently. He told Rena as much."
"Hating your own father, huh? Sounds like a luxury to me." Kai began to sputter "I don't even remember my parents." Suddenly changed his tone "Can't say how I feel about 'em."
"I...I was five then, so I remember mine a little." Atsuko looked sad
"Dammit!" Kai punches the wall "Sin just takes everything away from us." He said with his fists still on the wall--- poor wall…
Sin goes to the front of the boat, and approaches a blitzball that's just sitting there. The screen goes white
[FLASHBACK]
The young Jurina has a foot on the blitzball, tries to kick it, but misses completely and falls down. He stands up Kumi walks up to him
"Well, well, trying to follow in my footsteps, are you? I usually charge for lessons, you know..." Kumi said mockingly
"That shot is done... like this!" Kumi does a series of hits and high-flying manoeuvres. He jumps spins his body in the sky, and kick the Blitzball. He landed perfectly and looks at Jurina "You can't do it, kid."
"But don't worry, my boy."
"You're not the only one."
"No one else can do it. I'm the best!" he shows his teeth
[FLASHBACK ENDS]
Jurina decides to try the shot. He kick the Blitzball high to the sky, trying to hits and high-flying manoeuvres. He jumps spins his body in the sky, and kick the Blitzball. Just like what his father did in his flashback. Surprisingly, he did it perfectly. Just like what Kumi did. Jurina laughs after doing the shot.
"The best? Yeah right!" he put his hand on his waist. Still laughing like a boss. He turns around to find himself surrounded by Aurochs
"Whoa! What's that called?" Kai amazed by that kick
"Doesn't have a name. Anyone can do it if they try." Jurina smiles
"Show us one more time, ya?" Kai asked
“No probs!” Jurina prepares to do it again. The Aurochs step aside. Jurina looks back to see Rena's there she waves at him. He kicks the ball at the screen, which goes black it fades back in on the Aurochs running to the front of the boat. Jurina goes to speak to Rena. In the background, the Aurochs are trying to do the shot
"That was the Kumi Shot, wasn't it?" Rena smiles at Jurina
"Hey, how do you know that?" Jurina surprised
"Sir Kumi showed it to me when I was a child." Rena said still keeping her angelic smile on her face. "He called it the ‘Sublimely Magnificent Kumi Shot Mark III’."
"Stupid name, huh? You know what? There is no Mark I or Mark II, you know?" Jurina walks closer to Rena "My old man said the name Mark III was just something to hook the crowd." He smiled like a fool "He said they'd come back every night expecting to see Mark I and Mark II. And, they really did come back." Suddenly laughed and then he stopped, "I used to get so mad." Rena giggles. Jurina hangs his head. All is silent for a few moments
"Is he alive, you think?" Jurina trns to Rena
"I don't know." Rena shook her head. "But, Sir Kumi was my father's guardian."
"So he's famous here, too?" Jurina asked
"Yes." Rena nods "So if anything happened to him, I should think word would get around fast." Rena continues
"Uh-huh."
"What would you do if you found him?" Rena asked. Smiles at Jurina
"Who knows? I thought he died ten years ago." He pouted "Well..." he looks at Rena"I'd probably just smack him one." He punches the air
"After everything he put Mom and me through. And because he was famous, I was always... Well, you should know, Rena." He turns to Rena
"Your father's famous, too. Everyone in Spira knows him, right?" he crossed his hand, takes some steps back, and hang his head "Ain't it tough?"
"It is hard to follow in his footsteps as a summoner." Rena smiled
"Sure."
"But the honor of having a father like him surpasses all that, I think." Rena said looks at the stars
"Well, there wasn't much to honor about my old man, that's for sure."
"You shouldn't say that about your father!"
"I got the right!"
"I guess you do." Rena replied still looks at the stars
“Who is his name again?” Jurina holds Rena’s shoulder.
Rena turns to Jurina “Ah… Who? My father?” Jurina nods “Everyone just call him by his sure name… I wonder what’s his first name… do you---“
“Haru” Rena smiles at Jurina. Jurina smiles back. Jurina gets hit by a blitzball. He turns to see Kai and the Aurochs
"Show me that move again!" Kai yells. Jurina says "Yo!" and the screen goes black
"I didn't think my old man would come to Luca."
"He never did like watching other people play."
"But I couldn't help feeling something bad was gonna happen. And these feelings of mine are usually right."
"Sure, I had told Kai I'd help him win the tournament. But I wasn't sure I had it in me to play at all anymore."
Jurina go to his room and sleeps.
