I've been checking the Japan Expo site every day for the last month, but they're quite late this year with the official announcement.
So after AKB48, Passpo, Morning Musume, Idoling and Momoiro Clover Z we are getting C-ute!
Definitely a great first name in the line-up. I don't think they're the guests of honor, but we'll see.
I don't know that many C-ute songs, but the last one blew me away so the timing couldn't be better. :twothumbs
edit: If anybody is interested in sharing a hotel room feel free to shoot me a PM. I've been to the Expo before and I wouldn't mind going again.

Naturally I was hoping for an American appearance instead, but I'm really glad to see H!P continue to reach out to the west (and that no one is in fact graduating at all :nervous)!
I just remembered how I read a rumor about this earlier this year on Twitter...same rumor also speculated a third US appearance for Berryz... :shocked

It's not at the japan expo but in the same part of paris where the Buono concert was.
I would not suprised if they were also popping out at the expo .

Well then, I got 3 tickets just in case :lol: One of them is currently reserved for me and one in case Slack decides to fly over (which so far has been just a vague idea) and the third one... Is just in case some Euro friend later decides to join in.

They’re coming to France for the very first time and are at Japan Expo: the idols from °C-ute are the Music Guests of Honor of the festival!
Since the creation of the band in 2005, the 5 girls of °C-ute have sold 21 singles and 7 albums! Everytime they’re on stage, they charm their audience.
For their first time in France, they are the Music Guests of Honor of Japan Expo where you can meet them on Thursday for a public conference and Saturday for a handshake!
It sucks they didn't announce this right from the start. :thumbdown:
Only one handshake session and no signings or anything? I'd expect more from the guests of honor... :oops:

To take part in the handshake you must give the ticket you’ll find inside the box of the album ℃-ute Cutie Sélection ~A nos Amis de France !~ during the event.
The album is sold for €20 on Bishi-Bishi’s booth at Japan Expo from July 4 and on the store booth at La Cigale on July 5 during their show.
Screw that. Like I said above, the only chance to see them live is during their show at the Cigale (which requires a separate 40 euro ticket!). No lives at the Expo itself. Secondly, no free handshakes either (unlike all other guests in the entire history of the expo), but you have to buy a 20 euro best of album.
Of course they want to make money, but this is just weak. This is only fun for the already existing fans who don't mind paying 60+ euro to see them (excluding the actual Expo tickets). New/curious people aren't gonna do that, especially since the concert isn't near the expo halls at all. In the long run they would have been better off by doing two free showcases that everybody can attend. That way more people will get into them and buy their stuff.

I would go, but hotel, plane and other things would cost at least 500 Euro. I have never been abroad using own money. I wouldn't probably be able to book hotel without credit card.
