A girl is to become Britain's youngest mother after becoming pregnant at 11.
The girl smokes 20 cigarettes a day despite being eight months' pregnant. She conceived aged 11 when she lost her virginity to a boy of 15 on a drunken night out with friends. Darwinism, how could you fail us?
-
well it is possible for her to have fast-age development such that she is capable of being pregnant. But I'm doubting that the baby will be healthy due to her behaviour and her physical body that is capable of "carrying" another life within.

Here in Australia, we call those types of people "bogans (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bogan)".

The values that the child will grow and develop in...
-
when the baby reaches 20, the mum would only be like.. 32 y/o..
they'll be more like sisters. in that way it's pretty cool..
-
i believe there wsa a 9 year old girl that had a baby in the states. but seriously who's fault is it? can't imagine the pain she went through >.<
-
Disgraceful. The girls mother should be put in jail for being a total failure as a mother and a human being and the girl should be adopted (and the baby adopted if she manages to carry it full term), and as the girl is only 11 the "father" could quite legally be charged with 'statutory rape' as in UK law the girl is considered too young to give consent.

Smoke 'em if you got 'em...

Yeah, and they can both go together partying and have sex and use drugs and all those things!!! Yay! In fact, they'll start doing that from when the 'bby' will be what, 10?
Ew, can't believe into what young human beings are turning. I don't know, news like this give me the chills, can't imagine the world in which my children will have to grow and live...

I read in the paper today that the father is indeed being charged with statutory rape. He apparently said she was the same age the night they met. And there was also a photo of the girl (face blurred for obvious reasons) on the couch, cigarrette in one hand, tv remote in the other. And, carrying on from Dan's post, a second picture showed the girl's mother, TAKING HEROIN IN THE KITCHEN. I don't understand why social services hasn't already taken action and done something about this, because I don't need to tell you those are unfit living conditions for any child.

she'll become a grandmother when she reaches 22. 8X

it's just AMAZING what people can achieve these days

There is a reverse relationship between health/nutrition and age of menarche (first menstruation). In pre-industrial societies, it ranges from 15-18. In developed societies, it ranges from 12-13 years, and is slowly dropping. Other things are involved as well, e.g., obesity and estrogen exposure, but the topic remains controversial.
11 isn't really that low - I recall that girls as young as 7-8 have had reached menarche. The lower bound is even younger for pubic hair and breasts; this is called premature adrenarche.

Where were her parents during all this? Drinking and smoking and giving birth. Wow thanks Mom and Dad...

Omg.. I'm at loss for words. It's like gross in some ways and really saddening in others. At 11 youre not ready to handle a child, 'cause youre still one yourself.

It's the Trisha generation gone mad!!
and I thought my cousin was young at 19 having her baby last week!
