Well here is my second official story! Thanks again to everyone who read Leader's Responsability To Take Blame and it's sequel. This story will also probably not be that long but I just wanted to write something that focuses on Yuko and Minami's friendship :) Here is the first chapter, hope you enjoy the read!
------------------------------------------
Comrade in arms
“I think Yuko is my comrade in arms. Our weapons and our way to fight are both different, but we’ve the same feeling that we want to defend things which are important for us. And it will keep being so” – Takahashi Minami (Translation from AKB48 photo book)
Prologue – A small task
“You realize I also can’t do this right?” Minami inquired as she looked to Yuko, who stood beside her.
“Yes I know that, I don’t even know why you’re here. I called Haruna,” the ace complained as she let out a sigh.
“And she called me saying you needed help with something since she was too busy” the leader said absently as she turned her gaze back to the object of interest.
“I bet she was just too lazy to come. Really that girl... Well, I guess I have to work with what I’m given,” Yuko concluded as Minami gave her a playful glare.
“I’m kind of insulted, but I’ll let it go for now. So, should I call Mariko sama over? Or get a chair? Or something?”
“And admit defeat! Our pride is on the line here. We have to prove our worth!” Yuko said with determination.
The leader let out a sigh, “Aren’t you exaggerating. Really, you’re more energetic than I am in the morning. And besides, you had no trouble calling Haruna for help not too long ago” she accused.
“That’s all in the past now. We have to do this ourselves Minami. If we don’t, everyone will keep looking down on us!
“Everyone does look down on us! Now you’re just making fun of our heights on purpose! Honestly, a part of me knows you’re kidding and another knows you’re serious...” the younger girl let out another sigh and decided to go along with whatever Yuko had in her mind since she was clearly set on the matter. “Alright, alright, I’ll help. Seeing as we are comrades. So what’s the plan captain?”
The leader regretted asking that question since she was now down on her hands and knees trying to support the older girl who was standing on her back. “Yuko, hurry up and grab the damn thing” Minami said as she tried to keep from falling flat on her face.
“Just a little more...Got it!” The older girl shouted with excitement and moved too much, causing the girl beneath her to lose her balance and both fell on to the floor.
“Wow, thanks for breaking my fall Minami”
“Just get off...” Minami said trying to push Yuko off her. She looked to the item the other girl was holding and was glad they managed to get it down. “Seriously, all this for a microphone...”
Minami had come in earlier after Haruna had told her where to find Yuko. She had found the girl in one of the electronic storage rooms. Apparently she had volunteered to get an extra mic, but didn’t realize that it’d be on a high shelf.
Yuko got off Minami and extended a hand to help her up. Once she helped her, she threw her free arm around the leader’s neck and flashed her usual grin. “See that, there’s nothing we can’t do when we’re together! You and I are the best of comrades!”
Minami smiled as well, Yuko’s energy becoming contagious. Yuko really is her comrade and trusted friend. The two of them always did crazy things and had fun, they knew when they had to be serious and think of the group though, and they understood and respected one another. Minami was thankful for the older girls’ presence, even if she did get teased by her 99% of the time! Well, then again that’s our relationship,Minami thought.
The leader shared a special and different bond with each member, and hers with Yuko was a strong one.
“We better get back before the rehearsals start up.” Minami declared.
Yuko complied, but just as they were about to leave the room, the ace suddenly stopped, “Ah!”
“What? What is it?’
“Alright, don’t be mad... but I forgot to take down the cord that was beside the mic...” she guiltily laughed as both she and Minami looked back to the top of the shelf. “So, you ready for round 2!”
You’ve got to be kidding...

Chapter 1 – sudden turn of events
“Alright everyone, let’s take a fifteen minute break and then resume practice where we left off!” The leader shouted to all the members present who were now going their own ways for their free time.
While everyone was scattering, a couple members remained on stage to chat. Minami had also remained, although she was holding a few papers that listed the groups schedule and plans for the performance and was reading through them.
“Heads up!” Minami heard someone shout, but chose to ignore the call, believing it was not meant for her. She however learned she was mistaken when a water bottle smacked her on the back of her head.
“Ow!” She yelled out as she rubbed the spot the bottle hit with her free hand. She turned around to be met with a squirrel like grin.
“Sorry sorry, but I did say heads up.” Team K’s captain said, and Minami noted that the older girl didn’t really look all that apologetic. “Thought you might be thirsty so I brought you some water knowing you wouldn’t be using your free time at all,” the captain said knowingly as she grabbed the water from the floor and handed it to the leader. “I also brought some snacks; we need to keep our energy up you know.” She lightly scolded as she took the papers from the others girls’ hands and replaced it with a small lunch box.
Knowing there was no point in arguing, and the fact that Yuko was right; Minami smiled and thanked the girl. “Guess it wouldn’t kill to take a break.” She agreed and she sat at the edge of the stage where Yuko joined her.
“Nervous?” the captain asked after a few moments of silence as the two ate.
The leader looked at her food and nodded. “Aren’t you? I figured you’d be one of the most stressed too.” Minami responded as she looked to the older girl who continued to scarf down her food.
“Hmm...I guess. But that’s natural. With the Nisssan stadium performance and the senbatsu elections approaching, I don’t think anyone wouldn’t be a bit nervous.”
“Yah...you’re right,” the leader acknowledged.
Yuko looked at her friend and saw she was lost in her thoughts, so she lightly elbowed the girl to get her attention. “Everything will be fine. It always is in the end isn’t it? Besides, we both decided to approach things this year differently. Having more fun and enjoying the experience! It’s a festival, remember!” Yuko shouted cheerfully, earning a laugh from the younger girl.
“That’s true. We have to show the other members we stick to our words!” Minami agreed. Both she and Yuko left it at that, not wanting to further discuss the elections at the moment. Everyone had seen the preliminary results, but didn’t want to think much about it since it was only the beginning.
Minami grabbed her chopsticks and was about to grab some of the chicken in her lunch box, but looked down to find only her side dishes remaining. “Eh!” she turned to Yuko who had her mouth full with what appeared to be Minami’s food.
“Yuko!”
“What? You let your guard down. You snooze you lose, that’s the saying right!” the ace said as she got to her feet. “Well I’d stick around for you to attempt to get even but looks like you have a line of juniors forming who want to ask for advice.” Yuko pointed out, and sure enough when Minami turned, she saw a few of the younger members looking a bit too timid to approach the leader. Minami placed her lunch box down and smiled at the girls, gesturing at them to come over.
Yuko saw Minami instantly turn into her serious mode as she listened to, and advised the juniors carefully. As Yuko turned and was about to walk away, she heard Minami calling for her to wait. She looked back and saw the leader telling the girls to hold on a moment and then ran up to the ace. “Sorry, I kind of need to handle this for a bit, think you could get the other members organized and started until I get back?”
The ace grinned and once again grabbed the papers from the younger girls’ hand. “Sure thing, you can always count on me.”
Minami grinned back, “Yah, I know I can, thanks.” The girl turned half way preparing to leave, but then turned back to face the ace. “Oh, and Yuko...Well you’ll probably laugh at how cheesy this will sound but, I want you to know...You always shine the brightest when you’re yourself, and losing the # 1 position doesn’t mean anything. You’ll never lose your light as long as you’re you.”
Yuko was taken aback by the leaders’ words, but heard the sincerity and power they held as they were said. Guess I couldn’t hide the fact I was somewhat worrying about that regardless of what I said...That’s Minami for you though, always seeing through the masks we put on. Yuko smirked and playfully smacked Minami’s shoulders. “Your right, I’ll definitely hold this against you for saying something so cheesy. Now get, don’t keep our juniors waiting, I also have a job to do.”
Minami gave a sheepish smile and nodded. She knew her words might not mean much; honestly there were never any right words to say when it came to encouraging other members about the elections. However, she felt she had to say those words. That honesty was the only thing that the members could offer one another when it came to elections.
-----------------------------------------------
After practice was over, all the members left or were leaving for the day. Minami stayed back for a bit in order to help the staff with some last minute tasks. After finishing up, she grabbed her things and went outside to be greeted by the setting sun. “Wow, it’s already this late huh,” she said as she continued to walk down the road in the direction of the train station. Halfway through her walk, she heard her cell phone ringing and saw the caller was Yuko, and picked up.
“Hey Yuko, what’s up?”
“Ah Minami, hey. You busy?”
“No, I just left the stadium.”
“Great, perfect timing then. I knew you’d stay behind a bit so waited to call. I just need to let you know that apparently Team A and K’s schedules were mixed up regarding theatre performances, so you’ll want to run by that a...ow!...again. Sorry.”
Minami raised an eyebrow and answered, “Thanks, I’ll do that. By the way, what are you doing?”
“I’m rushing to get to a last minute photo shoot scheduled for me. I’m trying to take a shortcut through this stupid alley since no buses are heading to the studio I need to get too” Yuko explained as she also mentioned exactly where she was when Minami insisted while asking.
“I’m actually not that far from where you are, why don’t you wait for me and I’ll go with you. It’s safer.” Minami said as she couldn’t help but worry.
“Minami, I’m in a rush remember. I ne...” Yuko’s words were suddenly cut off, and Minami heard what sounded like the phone making contact with the floor.
“Yuko? ...Yuko? Yuko!?” Minami shouted into the phone hoping to get a response. Please tell me she just dropped her phone. It was then that Minami heard shouting in the background. Panicked, she took off running to where Yuko was without a second thought.

Chapter 2 – Majisuka!?
Minami kept racing through the streets toward her destination. As she ran, she kept trying to call Yuko back, however there was no answer. Why isn’t she answering! If this is a prank I swear I’ll.... Minami was inwardly cursing, which she rarely did. She always got teased and pranked by members, and in all honesty, she doesn’t mind it. It was just their way of showing affection towards her and she appreciated that. So as Minami was running, she was actually praying that this was another practical joke. That once she’d get there, Yuko, and maybe even the others would ambush her or something. Sure she’d be mad at such a worrying joke, but at least it’d mean nothing was wrong. She couldn’t think about the alternative.
The leader had to stop for a second to quickly catch her breath. The sun had nearly disappeared from the sky, and judging by her surrounds, she was close to the alley Yuko had described. The girl pulled out her phone again, but this time she dialled not Yuko’s phone, but the police. She didn’t want to lose time as she called, so she slowly began to run again as she talked. Minami explained as best she could her worries. She had nothing solid to offer the police, but she told them something was wrong and described the place they should head. Insisting they come. The leader couldn’t help but feel something was wrong, and figured she had nothing to lose by calling the police. Worse comes to worse, nothing is wrong and the police waste a trip, and Minami was willing to risk that.
The girl quickened her speed after the phone call and finally reached the alley into which she turned into. It was much darker in there since the remaining light in the sky barley reached the somewhat narrow space shielded by large buildings.
“Let go you jerk!” Minami looked further down and noticed to figures struggling. She realized it was Yuko trying to pull herself free from a man who had her caught by her wrist. The man looked like he was in his late twenties and was fairly built and tall for his age. After noticing what was happening, she quickly ran over and shouted, “Hey! What are you doing!?”
Yuko and the man both whirled at Minami’s voice and approach. The little leader stopped right in front of the two. “Sir, can you please let her go. What you’re doing is not right and you’re hurting her. Please let her go and leave us.” The leader wanted to be civilized first. She didn’t know what state this man was in, and hoped she could try reasoning with him first without any unnecessary trouble.
The man in question kept staring down at Minami and then his eyes widened in recognition. “Ah, you are Takamina. Amazing. AKB’s general manager is here too. You should come along as well.” His speech was slightly slurred and he seemed to lose his balance a bit. Is he drunk?
“Minami what are you doing! Get out of here!” Yuko shouted as she kept struggling in the man’s grasp. “Get out of here and call for help! Hurry!”
Minami was about to say she did, but stopped herself when she noticed across the corner of the alley, a car was parked. It seemed that’s where the man was trying to drag Yuko. If I mention the police are coming, there’s a chance he may rush and try to leave with Yuko...We have to stall him until the police get here. “I’m not leaving,” she said calmly. “I’m going to ask you again. Please let her go. This is stupid; please think about what you’re doing.”
The man glared at Minami and seemed to lose interest in a split second. “Forget it; I ain’t wasting my time with you. Yuko’s the only one for me!” Oh great, he’s apparently an obsessive drunk fan. He began to drag Yuko to the direction of his car as Yuko kept resisting. Minami was beginning to panic, clearly needing more time till the police arrived. The leader took a deep breath, and then ran with all her strength and tackled the guy down, sending all three of them to the floor. The two members didn’t need to communicate out loud that they had to run so they both tried to recover quickly from the floor.
However, as they stood and were about to flee, the guy caught Yuko by the ankle and dragged her down again, her body making strong contact with the ground. Minami tried to reach for Yuko but the man recovered first and grabbed Minami by the collar and slammed her into the wall. Her back painfully thudding against the surface. She tried to kick him away and managed to get his knee, which caused him to lose balance for a second, but he quickly recovered and sent his first flying into Minami’s stomach.
Minami doubled over as he let her go and coughed, trying to catch her breath. She’d never been punched before and was thankful for it, because it was not a fun feeling. Holding her stomach, she looked up and saw he was about to kick her, but then Yuko came at him from behind, tackling him from the back of his legs where he easily lost balance and fell, and she held her ground.
Yuko grabbed Minami by the arm and lifted her up, and then the two began to run...At least Minami did. Yuko seemed to be limping so the leader slowed down. “What’s wrong!?”
She gave the shorter girl a sheepish grin. “Sprained my ankle when he grabbed it and brought me down.”
“Damn it.” The leader silently cursed. They both turned their heads when they noticed the guy getting back up.
“Listen Minami, you have to go! I’ll be fine. Leave and just call for help.” Yuko smiled and tried to reassure the leader, but the other girl just glared.
“No way! I’m not leaving you with him. If he gets you in that car there’s no telling when the police will track him down or what he might do!”
Yuko was also beginning to get angry. “Then it doesn’t make sense that both of us get caught! Just go, now isn’t the time to be stubborn!”
Yuko and Minami then pushed one another back when they noticed a figure charging at them. Yuko and Minami were on opposite sides of the wall as their assailant hit nothing in the middle since they dodged, and then angrily turned back at them.
“Minami, go! I’m older than you so listen to me!” Yuko once again yelled.
“No!” & since when did age ever matter between us. If you want to pull rank, then I’m your sempai and I say I’m staying.”
While the two bickered, the man was confused on whom to even go after, so he once again made his way to Yuko who dodged as best she could and went to Minami’s side.
“You’re impossible you know that!” Yuko huffed, anger subsiding. “You won’t leave will you” Yuko said, not really asking it in a question format.
“No way. We’re sticking through this together. Listen, I called the cops earlier, we just have to hold out till they get here” the girl whispered that part so the man wouldn’t hear. “With your ankle, we can’t make a run for it, but you can still move around okay, right?” the younger girl worriedly asked.
“Who do you think you’re talking to? If time is what we need, we’ll get it.” The older girl said confidently.
The two quickly exchanged glances and faced their assailant again, who was slowly staggering towards them.
“You know, I don’t think I’ve ever been in a real fight” Minami said, trying to get their minds off things.
“Me neither, but hey. Just channel your character from our Majisuka drama!” Yuko advised.
Minami gave the older girl a lopsided grin and said, “You mean the one that had the crap beat out of her and then died.”
Yuko actually let out a little laugh, “sorry, that you definitely want to avoid. She was a good character though, knew how to fight and stick up for her friends. You are similar, doing something stupid to help a friend even if it puts you in danger” The ace accused with no malice in her voice.
Now it was Minami’s turn to laugh. “Like you’re any better. Okay then, lets both do our best to channel our characters...but this time, I think the both of them deserve a happy ending. What do you say?”
Both girls were still not breaking eye contact with the man approaching, but the little conversation between them was helping to slightly calm their nerves.
“Yah, I think they both do deserve that. And after they survive this, I think they should go out to get a big bowl of katsudon and a dish that has a lot of cheese!”
“Okay. It’s a promise then” both smirked as their attacker charged.

Chapter 3 - The outcome
Yuko and Minami both took off in opposite directions and each stood to one side of their attacker. The two of them knew their only advantage was that they outnumbered him since he had age, size and most likely power over them. However, he was also drunk, and hopefully that’d give the two idols a lead as well. Their attacker darted his gaze back and forth looking between the two girls, unsure who to go after first. Eventually he turned to Minami and advanced.
The leader was alright with this, she wanted to keep his attention away from Yuko, and the ace could maybe find an opening to take the guy down. That’s it; just keep making your way forward. Minami kept backing up slowly, honestly if I can kill time without having to fight for the police to come, that’d be great. She kept sidestepping back and forth, avoiding his advances, but not moving too far away so he wouldn’t change targets. Yuko kept close behind him in case he’d make any sudden movements, but also attempted to stay clear for the moment to go along with the leaders plan.
The attacker was however growing frustrated, out of nowhere he sprinted and leaped at the younger girl who was caught off guard but managed to duck the fist he threw. He gave her no chance to move back and he threw another punch that came so close to the leaders face that it caused her bangs to flutter. That was too close! Before he could advance again, he and the leader both heard a loud whistle. The assailant turned to the sound and saw Yuko waving. Minami took the chance to attack from behind. Well, it always works on TV...Were her thoughts as she slid her right leg behind her, then threw it forward in a kicking motion and nailed the guy right where it hurt. The drunk yelled out in pain and fell on his knees.
The ace decided to take this opportunity for herself. “He pal, now I can reach your face.” When he looked up as she spoke, she nailed him with a right hook to the face that made both him and her cry out in pain. “Damn! Punching someone really hurts!” she said as she waved the hand she socked him with in the air. Just when the two thought they could relax for a bit, the attacker angrily stood up, facing the actress.
“Yuko watch out!” Minami called taking a step forward, although the attacker instantly whirled around at her and threw a kick. The leader hadn’t seen it coming, she believed he was advancing on Yuko and got too close. His shoe made painful contact on the right side of her ribs that literally sent her flying off her feet and to the ground. Before she could recover, he threw another kick to her stomach while she was on the floor. “Ugh!” she cried out, trying to block her stomach before he could strike again. He didn’t get the chance as Yuko charge him, ignoring the immense pain from her sprained ankle and slammed her shoulder into the guy, pushing him away from Minami and into the near wall.
The attacker recovered, reached out and grabbed Yuko by the collar. “I don’t want to hu..rt you. But if you keep resisting, I will.” He thrust his knee into Yuko’s stomach, making her cough up saliva and lose her breath. He then threw her to the floor beside where Minami lay.
Yuko opened her eyes after making contact with the floor and turned her head to look at Minami who looked back at her, still trying to catch her breath. “I thought you weren’t going to channel the part of Minami from Majisuka that got her butt kicked,” Yuko jokingly scolded.
“Yah... well she gets more credit, she never fought back, but we are and we’re still getting our butts kicked.” Minami pointed out.
“Well you know whose butt I really want to kick. The cops. Remind me to file a complaint once this is over on how slow their service is” Yuko grinned.
Minami tried smiling as well and said, “Noted.” This was what the two of them needed. They’d keep making remarks like these that promised that they’d get through this just fine.
Minami saw a hand reach down and grab Yuko by her collar again, lifting her back up on her feet. Their attacker began to drag the actress once again to his car, attempting to flee. The leader quickly lifted herself from the ground, noting that breathing was becoming painful and so was moving. She touched her ribs where the drunk landed a kick and felt pain. Not wanting to focus on that at the moment, she ran towards him before he could get further. Don’t go counting me out you bastard! Hearing her approach, the drunk harshly threw the ace against the wall and struck Minami directly on the face with his fist. The world exploded in colors for a second in the leaders eyes. She staggered backwards trying to get her vision back but was too dizzy. She kept backing up until she hit the wall behind her and slowly slid down to be seated on the floor. No...No...Not the time to lose consciousness Minami. The leaders’ vision was flickering on and off. First she’d see black, and then she’d see the guys’ feet slowly approaching her.
---------------------------------------------------
Yuko held on to her left shoulder where he’d slammed her to the wall. She frantically looked around trying to find anything to use as a weapon against the guy to stop him from approaching her friend. A few feet away from her, she saw something with a light shine under the beat up dumpster. As quickly as she could, she made her way there and bent down, reaching for the object with her good arm. Please....Please let it be something useful.
---------------------------------------------------
Minami saw his feet stop directly in front of her. Two hands came down and grabbed her by her collar and lifted her to her feet. She tried to claw at his hands with what energy she had left but his grip wasn’t loosening. Just then, she saw a figure approach the guy from behind, holding something over its head. “You won’t get in my way anymo...Ah!” Before he could finish, the figure behind him swung the object directly towards his head and hit him on his temple. He freed Minami and fell to the ground; blood trickling where the crowbar, as Minami could tell now, had hit him.
“You know, I’d usually complain about people leaving dangerous things lying around, but in this case...thank god.” Yuko said as she dropped down beside the leader, exhausted. Minami was finally regaining her clear sight and gave Yuko a smile.
“You look like crap,” she let out a little laugh.
Yuko grinned, “That’s my line Takahashi. ...We’re definitely getting lectured once we get back for not taking care of our image as idols...Then again; we always tend to give the word ‘idol’ a new meaning.”
The two girls both laughed, though Minami winced when she did, her ribs still hurting. In the distance, the two of them could hear the faint sound of sirens.
Before the two could let out a sigh of relief, they heard shuffling just across them. Looking, they saw the attacker slowly getting up, staggering as he did so. “You’ve got to be kidding. Were their steroids in that guys drink” Yuko said baffled.
Both her and Minami were panicking, they didn’t have much energy left, and to make it worse, as he stood up, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a switch blade, unleashing the blade.
The leader was definitely scared, after all that, with rescue so close by, they could end up dead. After all their stupid bickering and promises to make it out of this, would it just end here? No. No! I can’t think like that. We can’t give up now. “Yuko. Remember when I helped you get that microphone off the top shelf during rehearsals. You said, ‘there’s nothing we can’t do when we’re together!’ and I honestly believe that. I know it may be stupid to say in this situation, but I wanted you to know I agreed.”
Yuko smiled and grabbed hold of Minami’s hand. “It’s fine. I like that you’re not afraid to say stupid stuff. Like that whole ‘You’ll never lose your light as long as you’re you’ thing you said to cheer me up. Besides...” Yuko said as she stood and directed Minami to stand with her as they stared at the deranged man holding a knife in front of them, waiting for god knows what. “Our scariest challenge it yet to come. General election is around the corner, the members won’t forgive us if we’re not there... And Atsuko won’t forgive you if you skip out on the dinner plans you arranged with her!”
Minami laughed. “I’d be mad at you for most likely going through my phone to find that out, but you don’t need to remind me of all that. I know. So I say...we actually fight the way that we know how right now, since clearly channelling our fictional selves from Majiuska won’t work out against knife guy over there.”
"Yah we're not exactly fighters are we" Yuko agreed.
The leader and ace were both on the same page. Even with a crowbar, they both doubted they could move fast and strong enough to fight the guy, especially when he had a knife. If they messed up, the consequences would be too severe.
“Right, so let’s show him how idols handle things” Yuko said. What they both needed now, was time. A distraction. They could hear the sirens getting closer and just had to make sure the drunk wouldn’t make any moves.
“In your position...set!” Minami shouted, taking their attacker by surprise as he stopped before advancing. Minami left some distance between her and Yuko and both moved away from the wall.
“1! 2! 1, 2, 3, 4!” Yuko shouted. Then the two of them danced and sang together.
“I want you~ I need you~ I love you~ Atama no naka ~~ Gan-gan natteru music, Hebii~ ro-ta-tion!”
The two were putting everything they had left to sing and dance to one of their most popular songs, and ignored the pain in their muscles. The attacker dropped the knife to his side and stood there...just watching. At first he was confused, but then he looked like a really excited fan watching a concert. “Amazing! I’m watching heavy rotation being performed by two top members of AKB!”
The two kept singing, and once they got to the chorus the 3rd time during the song, they heard people shouting,
“Drop the knife!”
“Put your hands up against the wall”
The cops arrived and tried their best to ignore the two idols performing once they spotted them all. Instead using the distraction to approach them at a closer distance. The attacker was caught off guard and dropped the knife since he had guns aimed at him. Two offices grabbed him and put his hands behind his back as they cuffed him.
The two girls had stopped performing, catching their breath. “Well it’s about time” Yuko huffed as she dropped herself to the floor, no longer able to withstand the pain emitting from her ankle. Minami dropped beside the actress, “do you think we can postpone our plans to grab something to eat. I’m feeling pretty sleepy”
“No objection here leader, I’m also beat. I’m sure the girls won’t mind us missing out on practice in the morning” Yuko said as she and Minami leaned into each other and closed their eyes as a few paramedics made their way over to the two sleeping girls, who held a peaceful smile as they slept regardless of what had just went down.

Minami and Yuko seem to be injured very badly...
Did they suffer bad injuries...? :?
OMG... I thought it would be one of the plot where one of them getting stabbed from protecting the other... when a knife was being pointed to them... :thumbsup
Interesting way to make the drunker forgot about what he wanted to do... :sweatdrop:
Singing 'Heavy Rotation' indeed the most popular song... able to disable a violent drunker from committing anymore crime...
Can't wait to find out what's going to happen next to them and to the drunker...?

Chichay12: lol thanks :) Great teamwork indeed! I'll upload the epilogue tmrrw
kenjoy12: No one can resist heavy rotation sung by Yuko and Minami!
cisda83: The epilogue will specify what injuries they suffered but they're tough! & the power of heavy rotation is not to be messed with :P
den_takacchan: yah sorry, it was always meant to be a short fic outlining their friendship but thanks for reading :D Glad you also wanna beat that guy for beating them :P
Yuki88: lol thanks
kurosawa87: haha yes it was
bunny_rabbit: lol they do indeed, but their thought process was that they keep talking about promises of doing things in the future as a way to promise themselves that they'd get through this :) Ya majisuka mode was a fail so reverted to singing :P
Thanks for reading! as mentiond, epilogue will be posted tmrrw morning!

Thanks for reading this fic everyone! I just had the idea of the two of them fighting side by side so decided to write a fic to focus on their friendship! So I really hope you enjoyed this short fic!
Epilogue
“So let me get this straight. Yuko went alone at evening through a dangerous alley. Minami went after her all alone when she realized something was wrong. You two fight off a drunken crazy fan. Get beat up. Then sing heavy rotation when he holds a knife to you.” Mariko narrowed her eyes at the two girls sitting upright on their hospital beds.
Minami and Yuko exchanged somewhat playful glances before turning back to their friends. “Well when you put it like that, it makes us sound like total idiots” Minami said.
“Yah! Minami’s the one in BKA48, not me” Yuko defended.
Mariko glared at the two girls, “You’re both idiots! Honestly do you know how lucky you two are that nothing worse happened? Which it could’ve. Like being kidnapped or even killed!”
The two girls lowered their heads, knowing Mariko and the others were just showing concern for them. Yuko recovered quickly and smiled, “well none of that did happen, so no point worrying about it. Minami and I can handle anything together” she said confidently. The leader smiled at her words and spoke up next.
“We’re sorry for worrying you all. We’ll be more careful in the future. But we’re okay. Really.” She gave a reassuring smile.
Mariko sighed, “Honestly you two are idiots”
“They are. But I do think they’re a great duo. It really does seem like they can face off any challenge regardless of their stature” Atsuko stepped in and said.
“Hey!” Both the short girls protested at the former aces compliment yet teasing insult.
“And what’s important is they’re alright” Haruna added sounding relieved.
After being taken to the hospital that night, the two idols were treated and slept all through the night till morning. They’d awoken to hear about their condition and learned that the fan was charged with assault, attempt at kidnapping and possibly attempt at murder. Either way he was behind bars now. Their friends and family had been waiting outside. They’d spoken to their families and Aki-p sent his wishes as well, telling the girls he’d give them as much rest as they needed. Their friends stayed behind to keep them company.
Yuko’s ankle was badly sprained, however thankfully not broken. She was instructed to take it easy for 2-3 months. Meaning no dancing, although she was allowed to continue whatever activities she felt she could attend after a bit of rest. Her shoulder was also bruised from being slammed to the wall, but it’d heal up soon enough. She had a few scrapes on her hands and knees, but nothing that’d leave a scar. Her hand was also sore from punching the guy, but it’d heal in no time.
As for Minami, she had one broken rib where the drunk struck her directly; the doctor said it’d taken 1-2 months to heal, and a bruised rib just below that, which would only take 3-4 weeks to heal. The leader was also instructed to keep activities to a minimum since the broken rib would restrict her movement. She also had a split lip and bruised area around her right eye, along with cuts and scrapes but like Yuko, no scars would remain.
Miichan stepped past Haruna and Atsuko and said excitedly, “sorry, let’s back up. You guys actually performed heavy rotation!”
“It’s not like we did it for fun you know. We had to buy time and the guy was a fan, so we’d figured that’d distract him. Especially since his oshimen seemed to be Yuko and thus we went for heavy rotation” Minami explained.
When the others just kept blankly staring at them, Yuko added with a sigh, “you had to have been there.”
Everyone began to laugh after that, just thankful this was over. Atsuko walked up to the two and said, “Well I’m really glad you two are okay. Don’t know what I would’ve done without you. What anyone would’ve done actually.”
Everyone nodded their agreement and the two girls on their hospital beds smiled up at them.
“Come on girls. Let’s let the two of them rest, we’ll visit them again later” Tomochin instructed.
“Rest up you two so you can get your energy back and heal up in no time!” Sayaka encouraged.
“Try not to cause any trouble for the nurses or doctors in the meantime” Sae jokingly warned.
They all said their goodbyes to the leader and ace. Atsuko stuck her head back into the room before leaving, “Oh, and I rescheduled our dinner plans Minami so you’d have time to rest first. And Yuko, Haruna said you still owe her lunch from that bet you lost, she hasn’t forgotten. Rest up you two!” she waved and closed the door behind her.
------------------------------------------------------
Yuko stretched, then got up from her bed, and limped over to Minami’s. “Scoot” she said as she lightly pushed the younger girl over and rested beside her.
Minami looked at her questioningly. “You know you have your own bed right” she said, but didn’t really mind Yuko’s close presence.
“It’s easier to talk to you this way. Besides, it’s lonely to sleep alone.... Also, I want to say thanks. For coming after me and staying”
“Of course” Minami said without a second thought. “You’re an idiot for thinking I’d run off without you. Besides, you would’ve done the same if our situations were reversed”
“You kidding! I would’ve high tailed it out of there!” Yuko loudly said, earning a playful shove from the younger girl. She let out a laugh, “Of course I would’ve done the same. And we would’ve done it for any other member and friend too, because we’re all a family, we look out for one another. And you’re my important comrade.”
The younger girl smiled, “who’s saying cheesy stuff now?”
“You’re a bad influence Takahashi” the ace smirked. “So, what do you say we limp over to the cafeteria? I’m starving”
Minami laughed. “Sure. I’m up for some food too. Don’t think this replaces the katsudon you promised though”
Both girls sat up and left the bed, slowly making their way outside the room with each other’s support.
“I wouldn’t dream of not offering you your celebratory katsudon. Besides, I doubt you’ll ever let me forget it anyway” Yuko joked.
“You got that right Oshima”
THE END!!!!

Their weird relationship is seriously funny.
It makes great fics overall for the many readers here who like the complexity of a great pairing
-
I thought so... Minami was more injured than Yuko...
But yeah... I agreed with Mariko and the others....Minami and Yuko were lucky enough to get off with minor injuries...
Yeah... somehow it was very funny... to even think that singing a song in those situation was the right thinking...
But then their reason was quite logic, he was a fan of Yuko so 'Heavy Rotation' was the choice....
Ah... Minami still own Atsuko a date... Yeah...
And Yuko seems to own lots of food to others... one for Haruna and the other for Minami...
Very funny... chapter here...
Thank you for the epilogue
