A support thread for those who have way more games than they have time to play - and still keep buying more! Those darn game sales everywhere! Every week! "It's only 5 bucks! I can't say no!"
How long can you go without buying a new game?? :panic:
There are still about 3 games I want to buy and have been waiting to be on sale... :sweatdrop:
How to ease the addiction? Perhaps by deciding not to buy another game until finishing playing one you already own?
Let us try to stay strong together. :deco:

The problem I have is buying games on the first day when, as evidence shows that unless your name is FIFA or Call of Duty, the price goes down dramatically within months if not weeks. I died a little inside when Deus Ex Human Revolution was £17.99 weeks after buying it at £49.99. There are times when I don't mind if I've been looking forward to the game for a while but I probably should show more patience when it comes to it.

I feel like this wasn't really a problem for me before Steam sales and the Humble Bundles.
Damn you, Valve!
Tuffty: Would it help to think of it as your higher initial price subsidizing the lower price others pay later?
In a way, you're doing the gaming community a service as an early adopter!@

Let's see if I need help in two weeks once I get my copy of The Last of Us. Waited about 6 months after pre-ordering. So far I'm holding out on getting the Alice Madness Returns bundle on the PSN store which includes American McGee's Alice. And finding a pre-owned copy of Uncharted 2.

I have a silly notion that I am going to resist this years summer sale and buy nothing at all ...... ...... ... DAMMIT
-
I thought I was getting better at it year to year, but then I realized...it was probably because I had already bought everything I cared to buy and had nothing good left during sales :(
-
Damn you, Steam Summer Sale!
Now I have even more games I don't have the time to play...
-
I thought I was doing good lately, but then last week I went out and bought 6(!) games at once! They were all 20Euros and below, but still. And three of them were Ps3 and I don't even have a Ps3 yet!
Guess I'm hopeless after all XD
-
I bought Dragon Age: Origins - because I don't already have enough RPGs to play 8) 8) 8) oh god
-
Just bought Shin Megami Tensei IV, idk why...No idea what the story is about haha.
-
FESS UP! How did you fare during the holiday sales
I bought...
Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons
Castle Crashes (for playing w/ friends)
Don't Starve (for playing w/ friends)
Hammerwatch (for playing w/ friends... there's a theme here)
Papo & Yo
Zeno Clash
I also wanted Child of Light, but since I'd already bought so many games I figured I could wait longer, and maybe it would drop more in price by the next sale. And Isaac Rebirth is tempting me, but I still feel like I want to practice more with the original.
-
Haha, I was doing so good with the Holiday sales, because I just ignored them completely.
That one time I looked at M$ sales, I saw Skyrim for 6€ and for a Moment I had to fight, but I stayed strong, because the day I buy Skyrim my (already sparse) social life will end... forever XD

Between Black Friday (ish) and now I bought
Bayonetta (bundle pack 1 & 2)!
Fantasy Life
Fire Emblem Awakening
Smash Bros. Wii U (I also bought Smash 3ds right when it came out but that was a little before Holidays)
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
To be fair, the first three on the list were during a Target sale where all games were buy 2 get one Free. :shakeit:

After my 346 day drought, I think I went a bit crazy  but it does prove that you can last a long time without buying, and you don't have to play such and such when it's just out, or even get a console when it's new, having a wiiU late really is great!!
I got:
WiiU & Mario Kart 8
Super Smash Bros. For WiiU
then on Steam sale:
Ultra Street Fighter 4
The Stanley Parable
Witcher 2
Hotline Miami
Bioshock Infinite
South Park
Dark Souls II
Alien: Isolation
...and I actually stopped myself from buying more (send help)

Well, last month I finally decided to get on the Assassin's Creed bandwagon and bought a copy of the first Assassin's Creed game.
A week later I went out and found a copy of Assassin's Creed II in BestBuy.
Two weeks after that I went and bought a $6.00 copy of Assassin's Creed Revelations in Gamestop, along with Deadpool.
And last night, bought Assassin's Creed III & Assassin's Creed Bloodlines at Bookoff, and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood at this sweet video game store called J&L Game (http://www.jnlgame.com/) in the city.
I need help before I start feeling the Bleeding Effect. :bleed eyes:
Did I mention that before Assassin's Creed I got a copy of Alice: Madness Returns that came with a free copy of American McGee's Alice? :nervous
