Title: Dressed To Kill (WMatsui, FuruYanagi, MariHaru) [004: Classes Starts!] 8/1/13

Hi guys! I'm Pat or you can call me Patty. I'm still not sure about this fic but i hope i can make you happy hehehe

Anyway, here's the prologue!

PROLOGUE

"Kill me now! This is what you've always planned and wanted, right?!" The girl shouted as she grabbed Jurina's gun and placed it in her heart.

"No, don't do this please. Let me explain!" Jurina's desperate response alarmed the girl.

"I've had enough of your lies."

Then a gun shot was heard.

"NO!!"

001: Born To Kill

"I'll see you tomorrow for your next mission briefing." The woman told me as she shut the door loudly, leaving me alone again.

My name's Matsui Jurina. I'm 16 years old and was born in Sakae, Nagoya. I'm about 5 foot and 2 inches tall. I weigh around 45 kilograms and sport a shoulder- long hair. I like playing basketball and I dance well.

I may seem normal in the outside, but that's just a facade.

The truth is, I'm a trained assassin. I've been working as a hired killer since the ripe age of 13. I'm a sharp shooter and I'm also an expert when it comes to swords. I do Taekwondo and Karate and now learning Muay Thai. I have a lot of other things that I can also do, but if I tell you, my dad might get mad at me.

My father is Matsui Yuasa. He's Japan's most wanted criminal and has gone hiding ever since I was 7 years old. He works under a senator whom I do not know. My dad receives orders from him via phone patch that's why I have never seen the senator's face. So if my dad works for him, I work for him too.

I receive new missions every month and get briefing every first Monday of the month. Tomorrow's Monday again so I'm meeting Nishishi again. Nishishi is the messenger of the senator. She's the one who gives us missions or updates about whatever the senator wants us to do. No one really knows her real name, but my dad calls her Nishishi so everyone calls her Nishishi too.

If you are curious, I did actually have a mother. Her name was Lisa. But that's the only thing I know about her, her name. I've never seen her before. My father said that she died after giving birth to me due to complications. I've never believed him though. Because there's just something inside me that's telling me that she's still out there...somehow..waiting for me.

Anyway, as I've mention earlier, I've been training since I was 7 years old. Pretty young age to start, eh? Well, as my father always says, "The younger, the better.".

As a matter of fact, I had my first kill when I was just 13. Impressive, huh? My mission then was to kill my dad's long time enemy. And because I was a kid, I wasn't suspicious as I looked harmless when I entered his office. And I just went up to him and shot him in the head. There was a lot of blood. And I didn't like the view so I did the person who will discover this later a favor and at least covered his face with a towel. Ew.

To be honest, I don't enjoy this kind of job. But I have no choice but to do it. Because it's the only thing I know. I have never set foot on a school. My dad hired a personal teacher for me and I was taught at home. But the lectures didn't go well because I wasn't paying attention and I'm too lazy to study too. So my father killed the teacher instead.

Speaking of our house, since my dad has been hiding from the authorities, our house is kind of in the middle of nowhere. But we're still in Nagoya, just deep through the forest. Our house is really big. Well, it's actually a mansion. That's because my dad's men live here.

Enough for the introductions, it's almost midnight. I have to sleep.

"Jurina!! Jurina! Open up!"

Ugh. Noisy people..early in the morning!

"Jurina! Open the door!"

I lazily stood up and got the door. It wasn't actually important, cause if it was, the alarm would go off. I groaned loudly and opened the door. Then someone was shouting in front of me. It's..Airi.

"What took you so long to open up?! Are you okay? What were you doing?!" Airi was literally shouting in front of me while checking my whole body.

"What the fuck Airi.. I was sleeping. But I woke up because of your loud voice." I rolled my eyes as I go back to my bed with Airi following me inside my room.

"Eh..sorry Jurina. I was just checkin' up on you but you didn't open the door immediately like you usually do." Airi was scratching her head, obviously feeling sorry.

"It's okay." I sat on my bed. "So, what's up?"

"Oh. Nishishi's already here. She's already talking to Akarin. I guess you should go get ready now." Airi said while she was playing with my katana twirling it back and forth.

"Hmm, okay. You may go out now." I got my bath towel and went straight to the bathroom. While I was in the bathroom I heard Airi shouting "Okay Jurina! I'll see you outside! Bye-bye!!" Then the door slammed loudly. I groaned for the nth time.

"Why can't anyone in this house close the door properly?!?!"

After bathing, I went out to meet Nishishi in the briefing room. I saw Airi listening to the briefing inside. She glanced at me and smiled.

Furukawa Airi or as everybody calls her, Airin, is also an assassin here in my father's agency. She's 5 years older than me but her behavior is like the behavior of a 15 year old. She's loud and very energetic. But she's a very good melee fighter. Airin's also a big pervert. She likes to touch other girls'...you know. She also has been a friend of mine since I was a kid so she's really important to me.

Then Airi's voice interrupted my train of thought.

"Hey Jurina, it's our turn now."

I stood up and proceeded to the briefing room. Then I realized..

"Wait, what?! OUR?!"

Airin just nodded happily while skipping around the room. And I just facepalmed my self. This girl..older than me..but mentally younger than me.

I saw Nishishi smiling at us and sat down in the large couch across the room while reading a folder.

"Furukawa Airi and Matsui Jurina."

The two of us stood in front of her and looked at her intently.

"Hmm, new mission. This will take longer than you expect."

I said, "Eh? Why is that?"

Nishishi smiled and read the content of the folder. Then she spoke.

"Furukawa and Matsui are assigned to kill the president's daughter."

What? The President's daughter?! Airi looked at me sharply while gasping.

"Nishishi..uhm.."

"Look, I know you guys are shocked but I'm also shocked. This is the first time that the senator has given this kind of mission. Plus, you will not kill her immediately. You'll be on surveillance for the whole year."

"Whole year?!" Airi and I exclaimed together.

"Yeah. Well this is like the senator's Plan B. He's trying to pass a new law in the senate. It's already on its final reading and then the president will sign it by the end of the year. If things go wrong, he'll kill the president's daughter." Nishishi said as she was nodding.

"What if he signs the law?"

"Then she will not be killed."

I looked at Nishishi weirdly. This mission is defintely odd and very crucial.

Airi spoke up. Wow. For the first time.

"Uhm, Nishishi, what do you mean that we will be in surveillance?"

"It means you have to go to the school where the president's daughter is studying and study there too."

OH MY. SCHOOL. I'M GOING TO SCHOOL. No, scratch that. AIRIN AND I ARE GOING TO SCHOOL!!!

Airi was confused. Obviously, she was too old to go to school.

"I'm going..to school too?"

Nishishi laughed. "Yeah, you have to pretend that your age is the same as Jurina's. But I know it won't be hard for you because you already act like one." She even laughed harder.

I kinda laughed too. But Airin looked at me with a big smile and exclaimed.

"YAY SCHOOL!"

Ugh. I facepalmed my self again.

After the briefing, we decided to go grab something to eat.

"Jurina..we're going to a school..we're gonna have new friends.."

"Airi shut up."

"Awwwwwww."

Airin has been talking non-stop ever since Nishishi told us everything that will be and has to be done for the whole year. The mission was well planned, in my point of view. Airin and I are going to the president's daughter's school and enter as students. Airin's going to be as young as I in her transcripts and every paper that will be submitted. Then we will befriend the president's daughter and earn her trust. Then if all else fails, we will kill her.

I grabbed a soda from the refrigirator and got a tempura from the table while Airi was playing with her phone.

Then Airin's phone rang and she tapped my shoulder while reading a text message.

"Hey, Nishishi just texted me. She said that all information about the president's daughter will be sent to us before the first day of school."

I nodded and she nodded too. I cleaned up the crumbles I caused and stood up.

"Airin, I'll be sleeping again since you've interrupted my beauty sleep earlier."

Airin laughed and she nodded.

"Have a good sleep Ju."

Noisy Furukawa. Good thing I'm not that hot tempered today. Well anyway, here we are, in my father's office.

I turned to Airi to ask her something but..

"What the hell are you wearing?" I looked at Airi weirdly because of what she's wearing.

"Oh." She beamed. "This is hip. New style." Then she winked. She was wearing a shiny top and a sparkling skirt with a lot of shimmering accessories. Just by looking at her can hurt your eyes.

I rolled my eyes and just ignored her as I observe the room.

My father's office has a weird design. No windows. No papers or anything. No TV. No computer. No visual ventilation. Almost nothing. I always wonder how he can stay here for so long. It's like a big box. I turned around just in time as he enters the room.

Both of us stood up as my father enters the room. He then, looked at the two of us with his fierce glare. And...wow, my father hasn't shaved. Ew.

"Jurina."

"Dad."

"Airi."

"Sensei."

He then sat in his big leather chair and lit up a cigar. He looked at us again and said.

"Both of you may sit now."

We bowed and sat in a big couch, like the couch in the briefing office. Oooh. So comfy..

After a few moments, he started to talk.

"Both of you might be wondering why I summoned you today."

Airi and I nodded.

"Well since you are going to handle, ehem, already handling, the biggest mission ever assigned in the agency, I want the both of you to undergo rigorous and rough training as part of your preparations before beginning the mission."

I heard Airi clap her hands and then she smiled at me once again. Oh that creepy smile...always makes me shiver in fear.

You see, Airi, here, has a sadistic side whenever she is triggered by a fight or during training. Her eyes turn red whenever she's in that side. And you don't' wanna go to that side because it's really hard to take the sadistic side out of her. Honestly, I'm scared of her whenever she's on her sadistic side.

I turned away from Airi while giving her a "weirded out look" and asked my father.

"So, who's gonna train us?"

"Mariko will."

"MARIKO?!

I was literally surprised when I found out that Mariko will be training us. Mariko has been out for a mission for almost 2 years. It's a big surprise that she's already back. I missed her so much.

"Yes."

My father was unsurprisingly calm about this. He has always been "Taeyeon". Taeyeon in korean means calm. Heh.

I looked to my side to see how Airin's taking the news. As I've seen her, she's also calm and composed. I think she's not really surprised about this. Maybe she knew..

Anyway, Shinoda Mariko is my "almost sister". My parents adopted her when her parents abandoned her outside our house about 10 years before I was born. Mariko is my dad's most skilled assassin and the most veteran agent. For the last 2 years, she's been assigned to a mission abroad and has never came back since today. She was really a big sister to me. She took care of me when I was young and taught me a lot of things. She's just the greatest person ever.

"You'll be seeing Mariko tomorrow as you start with your training. I expect a lot from you two." My father looked at us intently and we nodded nervously.

"Go on now. Both of you are dismissed."

I got up and excitingly looked forward for tomorrow. It's really gonna be a great day.

It's almost 8pm now. Since tomorrow will be the start of the training, I better clean my weapons so they'll function properly. Actually, my weapons weren't really that special. I have 2 desert eagles, a katana, and 3 tactical knives. I kept on cleaning them until..

I hear someone calling my name.

"Jurina!"

The voice was coming from a girl. But it's not Airin..

I looked over to the window to see who is it.

"Jurina! Down here!"

It's Mariko!

I opened my window immediately and called her out too.

"Nee chan!!"

"Hey! I told you not to call me Nee Chan in public!" She pointed out to me and gestured me to come down.

I quickly closed my window and went down stairs. Geez! I'm so excited to talk to Mariko! It's been so long!

As I see Mariko waiting by the door, I hurriedly jump onto her, causing the both of us to fall down. I then hear Mariko laughing loud.

"I guess my puppy missed me so much, heh?" HELL YEAH I DID!

"Yes yes master." I jokingly responded.

Mariko got the both of us to stand up and patted my head.

"Your father said that I'll be training you and Airin tomorrow.. I guess he already told you?"

"Yeah he already did. I was actually cleaning my weapons when you called me out." I beamed at her.

I watched Mariko as she looked around the house and observing the whole environment. She seemed like looking out for something.

"Eh Mari-chan..something wrong?"

She held me close and whispered.

"Since tomorrow you'll be having a harsh training and will be having a year long mission, I'm going to take you out."

TAKE ME OUT?!

As I told you before, I never go out unless I have a mission or I'm asked to go somewhere. Since I'm a minor and I'm the agency leader's daughter, I'm prohibited to go out as for my safety and spying issues. So what Mariko's gonna do is surely illegal.

"Are you serious about this?! This can get you punished!"

"Pshhhh, I'm the agency's top agent and yet I'm going to get punished? Pfft."

She shook her head and pulled me into her car. Her car is a Ferrari Enzo. Smooth. It took me a few seconds to stop drooling at it.

Then she faced me.

"Promise me that you'll never tell anyone about this. Even Airi."

I held out my pinky and swore.

"I promise that I will never tell anyone about this."

She grinned and started the engine.

"Let's go then!"

After a 30 minute drive, Mariko finally switched off the engine and got out of the car. Since I don't go out much, I don't know where we are so I asked her.

I observed the place quietly. There were a lot of buildings and establishments. But most of them are closed and there were bright lights everywhere. There were a lot of candle lamps and the people were wearing kimonos. I looked really different since I was wearing jammies.

"Eh..Mari-chan? Where are we?"

"Oh we're in downtown Sakae. You never go out that's why you don't know where we are." She let out her tongue and teased me about it.

"Be sure to always follow close to me. I don't want to lose you....and my head." She looked at me seriously. Then I faked a salute and she laughed at me again. She started walking and I followed her behind.

"Wow....."

I started looking around the place only to find very bright lights. Then I kept walking and walking. Everything here is really fabulous. Everything's yellow and orange. It looks like there's a festival going on or something. So I was gonna ask Mariko what's all with this but when I turned around to Mariko............SHE WAS GONE!

I started to panic! She just told me not to lose her but I just did! Omgawd. What to do?! What to do????!!!

I stopped walking for a while and thought about what I'm going to do next. I'm just so fucked! I was already sweating a lot. There were a lot of thoughts inside my head. I don't know what to think anymore! The only thing I know is that I'm so ruined! And I'm in my jammies already! But I don't want to create a ruckus or a scene, because that will be so embarrassing.

Then suddenly, someone tapped my shoulder.

"Eh..Miss? Are you okay?"

I thought it was Mariko-sama but it was a girl who was wearing a kimono. She had chinky eyes and oddly set bangs. But overall, she was beautiful. Almost stunning, I may say. She looked like an angel..seriously..

Maybe she noticed that I spaced out so she tapped me again. And asked once more if I was okay.

Okay. This is absolutely embarrassing. Wake up Jurina! I scratched my head and told her.

"Uhh, I'm actually lost."

I had no choice but to tell her the truth. Maybe she's the only one who can help me now.

"Oh. A lot of people get lost here. I'll try to help you, okay?"

I silently nodded and followed her. She then spoke again and asked me.

"Who are you with?"

"I'm with my sister."

"What is she wearing?"

"She's wearing jeans and a blue shirt."

The girl nodded and continued to search. It wasn't hard to find Mariko because almost everyone's in their kimonos but there were so many people. While she was searching, I was looking at her..gawd she's so beautiful. I wonder if she has a boyfriend...

Then after a few minutes of half daydreaming (or night dreaming?!) Half searching, she startled me as she pointed out far and faced me.

"I think she's that one?"

I looked over to where she was pointing at and saw that it was Mariko, who looked like she was also looking for me. I quickly thanked the girl and then I ran back to Mariko. I suddenly forgot my fascination about her. And while I was running, I hear her shout something but I can't decipher what was it. Ugh, nevermind.

I shouted at Mariko and she turned around.

"Mariko!"

"Good gracious Jurina where were you?!"

She told me as she hugged me tightly. I can tell that she was really worried about me.

"I'm sorry Mariko. I was just really astonished of the.."

She cut me off as she hugged me tighter and whispered in my ear.

"I'm so sorry if I let you out of my sight. It won't happen again."

I looked at her and I saw sadness in her eyes. I got Mariko worried again. I sighed. I was supposed to be the one who's sorry, not her. Both of us kept quiet and walked back to the car. Then she held my hand and walked with me to the car.

I was back in my room. As I look at the time, it's already 11pm. It's way way past my curfew. Even though I'm still inside the house, I still have a curfew to follow.

But somehow, I can't stop thinking about the girl who helped me earlier. She was just amazingly stunning. Although she was just wearing a simple kimono, her face stood out and her voice was just really relaxing, even though she just spoke a few words, I felt warm and comfortable.

Ugggh! Jurina! Stop thinking about her...but I can't stop! I closed my eyes and laid in my bed. I'm just gonna go to sleep. Maybe when I wake up, she's already gone in my mind.

Post by: Crossing Crossroads on July 21, 2013, 12:13:43 AM: Don't worry about it being "too boring." On the contrary, I don't think its boring at all! The fact that Jurina, and basically SKE, are assassins should be exciting enough to know. You're still letting your story develop, letting the facts be known, introducing things that will get us hopeful for the next update. There's no reason to think it's boring. You're only on chapter two after all, right?

As for the story, I do find it interesting that Jurina is an assassin., Airin and Akarin as well. (Actually, Akarin as an assassin really makes me happy. I've always dreamed her with an evil side. It was only a matter of time before someone who do something about that. I wanted Akarin to be something like an assassin in my own story, but I think I decided to cancel her out of the story. -laugh-) I do like that Jurina and Mariko are actual sisters (though not by blood). Airin with a sadistic side is honestly really interesting to me as she's so... adorkable. Haha. Ahhh... What else...

FURUYANAGI!!! I majorly love FuruYanagi. I hope it doesn't end up like it usually does... ; w; (FuruY -> RenAirin. Oh, my heart.)

It's not a big deal (don't let it change you), but I often to think about not using "omg" or shortcuts to say something in the story unless it's used in dialogue (like the character actually saying OMG) or text. Makes it seem like diary styled story. (If that's you're aim, hell, keep at it.)

Also, I, myself, have been advised to not use CAPITAL letters to not express emotion, excitement, or anger, or not. They advised to use things such as italics or bold to do so. Using the exclamation mark or exclamation mark and question mark would also help.

Some people don't exactly appreciate what I'm doing so I'll just shut up now. x-x (I'm sorry for the inconvenience. -bows- ; x;)

I try my hardest to crawl under these barbed wires. But I just can't get through it, the ground's too slippery! But I can't complain and quit now, I have to finish this. I sacrificed my sleep for this training so I have to get out of this! GAMBATTE!

I can hear Mariko's voice inside my head. I recalled what she said earlier.

FLASHBACK

"Okay girls, today, we will start with field training. As you can see, there are barracades and courses around the area. You, girls, will be completing the courses for 5 times today. You will be given water breaks but will immediately go back to training. If you're gonna ask me why we are gonna train for this, well, these skills that you're gonna develop here can help you in future missions. Not just the incoming mission. Understood?"

END OF FLASHBACK

"Work it! Work it!" Mariko's shouting woke me up from my thoughts and isn't helping at all. I feel irritated by her screaming but she said this will make me motivated. But IT'S. NOT. WORKING.

Ugh. Field training. The training that I hate the most. Sweaty. Dirty. Muddy. Ew ew ew ew. I hate everything about this training. I feel like I'm going to be a soldier soon.

"Jurina, wake up! Get up get up!" Mariko's voice made me flabbergasted. Shit Jurina get your head in the game.

Mariko pulled me up and pushed me to run to another barracade. I'm so tired already. I feel like I'm going to faint now. Airin and I started training since 6am, but it's been only 3 hours! But I felt relieved that it's already the last time we're doing this. I looked around to find where's Airi but I can't find her.

"Airi?!" I called her out. Where the hell is she?

"Jurina, Airi's already finished so move your ass already! It's the last barracade!" Mariko answered me instead. Dang, I never knew Airi's good in this kind of training. Because our age differ a lot, we don't have the same training then. But I felt relieved when she said this is the last barracade. Ahhh~

I kept telling my self to push myself harder and faster. Come on Jurina! It's the last one! The last one was a big wall that you have to leap over.

"Uggh!" I grunted as I leaped over. I slightly closed my eyes as I prepared myself to hit the ground. But gladly, I successfully landed safe to the ground. Touch down!

I then hear Airi clapping her hands loudly cheering "Way to go Matsui!". I felt relieved. Finally, the field training's finished. I was clutching my stomach due to tiredness while I was catching my breath. Then Mariko called my attention.

"Hey Jurina, how about you get some rest and we'll resume training at noon. The next one's your favorite." Omgawd. Gun shooting's next! Finally!! Yatta!

I nodded and Airi pulled me with her, back inside the house.

After resting for a while and eating lunch, Airi and I proceeded in the shooting range outside the house. It's the same place where we trained for field training, just placed with shooting posters and other paraphernalias. There were 5 shooting dummies and a table where all ammos and guns were placed. I excitedly ran to the table to choose for a gun. I was gonna pick up one to test shoot when...someone slapped my hand.

"Ouch!" My hand hurt and saw Mariko glaring at me. And I hear Airi giggling behind me.

"Can't wait to shoot, Jurina?" Mariko raised her eyebrows while she was crossing her hands in front of her chest.

"Heh, I'm sorry." I scratched my arm and backed away from the table. As I told you before, I'm a sharp shooter so technically, I like shooting guns. Guns are my most favorite toys. Hehehe. This is gonna be a piece of cake.

I can still remember my first gun training when I was 10 years old.

FLASHBACK

(Ju's 10, Mariko's 20)
My dad woke me up early today because he said we're gonna do some "bonding" again. He calls every training bonding because he thinks we're gonna be closer to each other. He always kisses me in the cheeks whenever I do good. Sloppy. Yuuck. But somehow I enjoy it when my dad kisses me. I feel loved and happy. But I wonder how will this turn out, if Mom's here. But I have Airi, Mariko and Dad to fulfill Mom's duties. And Mariko will go to my room today because I told her to visit me before going to her next mission.

I was prepping up when someone knocked on my door.

"Come in!"

The door opened and Mariko peeked.

"Hey buddy." She said while entering the room.

"Oneechan. I'm so glad you came!" I pounced on her like I always do and she hugged me, then patted my head.

"You'll have your first gun training today, I heard." Then she sitted on my bed and looked around.

"Hai! That's why I'm really really excited." I went to one of my closets and got a gun. "This is the gun Dad gave me last night. He said not to use this in any trainings or mission. I wonder why though. But I just wanted to show you."

Mariko looked at the gun and nodded.

"Hmmm, I know why Dad gave this to you."

"Eh? Why?" I was so curious.

"You'll know soon." She smiled and stood up.

END OF FLASHBACK

"Okay, we'll start right away so.." She picked up a beretta and a desert eagle and tossed the beretta to me and the desert eagle to Airi.

"I know Jurina's good with desert eagles so I gave it to Airi and gave Jurina the beretta. And I also know that Airi's not good with guns so I gave her a semi-auto gun which is the desert eagle." Mariko explained. But this is unfair! She gave Airi a semi-auto!

"Mariko this is unfair! You gave her a semi-auto and yet you gave me a gun for advanced shooters!" I said, slightly raising my voice while puffing my cheeks.

Mariko turned to me and said. "Nothing is fair in the world. And you.." She pointed at me. "Should learn how to use a gun that's not your expertise. What if there were no desert eagles in the field or in the mission? You'll forever use your katana? You can be easily disarmed." She looked at me and pointed at my forehead. "Use this Jurina. Or else it'll dry out. Anyway, you're a sharp shooter, you should know every gun with the back of your hand." She then smirked at me and went back to her old position. Ugh. Sometimes, Mariko's an old sensei who likes to irritate her students. But in someway, I think she's challenging me.

"Okay, so, here's the thing. Both of you will be shooting at these shooting posters." She went to one of the shooting posters and called out Airi. "Airi, you stand here. Then Jurina, go to the shooting poster oppositely facing Airi."

So now, this is how we look like. I'm back facing the shooting poster and now face to face with Airi. With like only 6 steps away. (I'm sorry for confusing you. But bear with me. ><)

Mariko nodded and spoke. "Okay now, I want you to point your guns at each other."

"What?"

"Point your guns at each other."

Airin then pointed her gun at me. I kinda panicked though.

"Ehh?! Airi?!"

"I'm not gonna shoot you, dummy."

"Point it too at me."

Mariko took a step forward and positioned herself in between us.

"Now I want you to shoot the shooting posters behind each other. I know it may sound dangerous but trust me. This will improve your accuracy in close range shooting and will also improve your trusts with each other. Just..don't try to kill each other huh?"

Is Mariko crazy?! Airi's not a good shooter. What if she shoots me in the head? But it's not that I don't trust her, it's just that...what if she shoots me?

"If you are doubting your friendship, now is the time to test it." Mariko said and she shouted. "The same scoring is followed and the first player to score 50 wins."

"Uhn." Airi and I nodded.

Actually, I've never doubted our friendship. Airi and I have been best friends since like..forever. But I'm not sure about what Airi's thinking now. Although, sometimes I may be harsh to her. I still care a lot about her.

"START!"

And it starts. I started breathing in and out. I have to concentrate. So I tried focusing on the 15 point area. It's the center of the shooting poster. But Airi's hair in on the way..

"......"

Then I heard sobbing.. What what?! Sobbing?!

I looked up and saw Airi crying. She was wiping her tears and sweat. Her face was read and she was overall sweaty and shaking. Then she silently talked.

"Mariko, with all due respect, I can't do this. You know that I'm not good with guns. So I might hurt Jurina. I can't see her hurt." Then she wiped her tears and surrendered her gun to Mariko who was astonished.

"Airi, when it comes to missions, you have to accomplish them, whatever happens! What you just did showed real unprofessionality" Mariko slightly shouted. She didn't look angry but somehow disappointed.

"I'm sorry. I promise I'll do better next time. But not now, I might hurt Jurina.." Airi continues to cry and bowed her head.

I was really surprised about how she reacted. I never knew that she cared that MUCH about me. I was touched and at the same time, relieved. Somehow, I felt guilt inside me too, but I just shook it away.

"Airi..." I glanced at her. Then she quickly hugged me.

"I'm sorry I was unprofessional. But just with the thought of you being killed by me kills me already." Airi hugged me tightly and sobbed on my shoulder. I patted her back and told her it was alright. I glanced at Mariko and she was smiling at us but when she realized that I was looking at her, she returned to her serious look again. Then she spoke.

"Don't you dare do this in a mission. This could get you killed or punished. I know that both of you know the rules."

Airi broke the hug and nodded. "I'm sorry Mariko."

"It's okay but please Airi..Jurina?"

"Hai."

Then we went back to training. But now, individually shooting. Only gun shots were heard and constant yawning from Mariko. Hmm, I hope we'll benefit from this though.

After a few rounds of training, Mariko received a call from someone she won't tell who and dismissed us.

"Shoo, go away kids." Mariko shooed us away while talking to someone on the phone.

We were walking back inside the house when I noticed Airi was oddly quiet again. Maybe because of what happened earlier, she taught herself to shut up. I was worried about her somehow. Maybe she's taking this thing too serious, but I hope not. I miss the noisy Airi now. So I tried talking to her.

I tapped her shoulder and said, "Hey Airi."

She slightly smiled at me and nodded, which was odd. Because everytime I talk to her, she would talk endlessly. But now, she won't even bulge.

I blocked her way and placed both of my hands in her shoulders. She then looked at me, astonished with my moves.

"Airi can you please say a word?" I told her.

She sighed and looked at me. Her look worried me a lot. Her eyes were really sad that they're already affecting me. Then she pried my hands away.

"I'm just disappointed on myself today." She bit her lip and started to walk away from me.

I felt guilty for even thinking on shooting the shooting poster on her back without even considering what would happen to her if I missed. She was overly worried about me if she did miss. So I felt really guilty about it. I can't also imagine Airi being shot, or worse, dying in front of me. I just can't lose her. And I do, I'll be surely avenging her death till my last breath. So I brushed my thoughts and followed her and hugged her back.

"Airi...don't even think about me being disappointed on you, because I'll never be. Whatever you do..I'll always be there to support you whatever happens. I swear Airi. I swear to my life." I hugged her even tighter and felt my tears coming out. I tried containing my tears but I failed. I don't cry in front of others but right now I cried out my guilt and sadness on Airi's back. I feel Airi's crying too. She broke the hug and looked at me in the eyes.

"Thank you Jurina.." Her words were so affectionate. Her words were sincere. Her words were just awesome. She continued, "I hope you'll never stop supporting me, kid. You're the bestest friend I can ever ask for." She ruffled my hair and hugged me again.

Today, I proved to myself again, that Airi's really older than me. Although she might be childish sometimes, she'll always be there to watch my back. She'll be always the great pervert Furukawa Airi who's my best friend.

We walked back to the house with me riding her back.

Meanwhile, in Mariko's case...
(This will be in the writer's POV because Jurina isn't with Mariko)

After receiving a phone call from someone, Mariko drove back to downtown Sakae. While driving, Mariko was trying to reach someone thru her phone that she didn't notice she was already changing lanes. When she saw it, it was already too late.

"Ahhhh!" Mariko's car crashed into the left side of the incoming car because the driver of the other car tried to at least avoid Mariko. Good thing Mariko wasn't hurt or something. But we didn't know if the driver of the other car is..

So Mariko quickly got out of the car and checked the other driver. It was already evening and no one was on the road except them. So it was really odd that they still crashed on each other. They say it's an accident, I say it's fate. Mariko looked at the driver's side and opened the door. The driver was a girl. And her head was bleeding!

Mariko got shocked and tried to wake up the girl but she won't bulge. This got worried Mariko big time. She immediately pulled the girl and lifted her up to her car and rushed to the hospital.

After arriving at the hospital, Mariko chose to stay. She felt like she has a responsiblity over the girl. Well, this is her fault anyway. Then while waiting for the nurse to come out, she received a call again.

"Hello?" She said.
"Where the hell are you?"
"I'm sorry, but I cannot attend to you today."
"What.."
"I had an urgent thing to attend to. I'm sorry. Once again."

She then hanged up as soon as she saw the nurse approaching her.

The nurse was looking at the files so Mariko started the conversation.

"So, uh..how is she?" Mariko was fidgeting. She was really nervous. What if the girl's under a coma? Then she's gonna be really really dead.

"Good thing you brought her immediately or else she would've lost a lot of blood. But she's already awake. What happened to her anyway?" Mariko was good at lying but she felt a sudden wave upon her that made her tell the truth.

"Car accident.." She stated.

"Have you reported this to the police yet?" Mariko read the nurse's nametag that said "Kashiwagi Yuki". She got something from her pocket and said.

"Uhm, Yuki, can you please act like this never happened?" She was trying to bribe the nurse. Her father has a connection the police force and she doesn't want to bother her father. She also doesn't want to bother Jurina as well. So she was trying to cover up for what she has done. She doesn't actually care about the expenses and car damages because she already earns well. She was just gonna clear up her name.

Yuki looked at her and didn't hesitate to nod. "What's your name?"

"Uhm, I'm Mariko."

"Okay Mariko. This never happened. And we never talked." Yuki nodded and got the money. "You can talk to her if you want to. But after she recovers, I'll erase her record immediately and you should pay for her bill."

Yikes. The nurse was sexy but sneaky so she agreed anyway. Yuki left and she went to the room where the girl was.

She was nervous and shaking. She doesn't know why but she went on anyway. She lightly knocked on the door and someone answered "Come in" from inside so she opened it.

As she opened the door, a wave of guilt was again felt by her. She entered and bowed to the woman inside.

"I'm sorry for bumping into your car and causing you a lot of trouble. I also apologize for the injury I've done and everything. I promise I'll pay for the expenses and all, just don't report this."

Then she heard an angelic giggle. Like it was a cue for her to lift her head. She saw the woman in bed with a plaster in her forehead, giggling. Then she spoke.

"You're cute." Then giggled again. "No worries about the car. It's not even mine. It belongs to the company boss whom I hate a lot. So no worries, they're just gonna fire me anyway. I hate the job anyway." She was covering her mouth while talking.

The woman was extravagantly beautiful in Mariko's eyes. She didn't have the chance to observe the girl while she was bringing her to the hospital because of she was focusing on the road. The girl had auburn hair and had a silky skin. She was in awe.

"Ehh.." The woman noticed that Mariko was looking at her in awe and made her giggle again. The faint giggle brought back Mariko to her senses.

Mariko approached the bed and sat on the chair beside it. She was still sorry about what she's done, but the woman's good nature made her better. She looked at the woman in bed who was also looking at her. As if having a staring contest, the two were looking intently at each other. Mariko can feel her heart beating fast. She feel something was pushing her towards the girl then she saw her close her eyes, she close her eyes as well. But then a knock interrupted them.

"Ano..Kojima-san?" the nurse was knocking on the door.

The woman, who's name was allegedly Kojima pulled back and blushed. She fixed her hair back and answered to the knock on the door.

"Kashiwagi-san, you may enter." Then the door opened and revealed Yuki. Mariko sat properly on the chair and leaned backward. She fixed her hair and her shirt when she saw Yuki wink at her which made her gulped. She looked away from Yuki then.

"Kojima-san, is everything alright?" The nurse asked the woman, checking on her vital signs and body temperature. She took down notes and faced Kojima.

"Kojima-san, your vital signs are okay and no contant change in temperature. In a few days or so, you can get out of here already." Yuki smiled and looked at Mariko again. Which freaked the latter out. Then Yuki turned her heels the other way and went out of the room.

"Eh..Kojima-san?"

"Hmm?"

"I'm still sorry."

"It's okay." Kojima held her hand out. "I'm Kojima Haruna."

Mariko smiled and shook Haruna's hand.

"I'm Shinoda Mariko."

(I'll be changing the POV. I find it hard to write the story in Jurina's point of view. So now, the story will be told in 3rd person perspective.)

The sun was already up when Jurina woke up from deep slumber. Yesterday's training took all her energy and made her so exhausted. Yesterday was the last session of their rigorous training because school will be opening tomorrow. They were given a day-off in able for them to get some rest and prepare themselves mentally and emotionally for tomorrow's event. Jurina stood up and got her backpack from her cabinet.

"Ugh, I haven't been to a school before.." Jurina shook her head and groaned as she sorted her things out. Mariko bought her and Airi school supplies the day before yesterday. She has notebooks, pens, paper pads and a lot of school related paraphernalias. Just by observing them made Jurina groan for the nth time. Oh sure, Jurina was soooooo readdyyyyy.

She lazily left the bag on the table and went to look for Airi. But as she opened the door, Airi was already in front of the door. She prepared herself as she knows what's going to happen next.

"JURINA-CHAN!!!!" Airi energetically pounced on Jurina and hugged her. Jurina rolled her eyes and greeted Airi. "Good morning Airi." She patted Airi's back and broke the hug.

"I was gonna knock on your door but you opened it. So I just hugged you instead." Airi said as she went inside Jurina's room. She saw Jurina's bag and went to the table. "Ooh, I see you're preparing for tomorrow already." Airi picked up some of the notebooks and placed it inside the backpack.

"Uhm, not really. But I was going to, but I'm too lazy."

Airi laughed. "I know you're really curious what it's like to study at a proper school. Don't worry, you'll be okay." Then she patted Jurina's head. "Nishishi will be coming back this afternoon. Don't forget. 1pm. Briefing room." She smiled at her and bid goodbye.

Airi's actually right about Jurina's curiosity in going to school. The fact that Jurina has never set foot on a school makes Airi more excited for Jurina. Although Jurina isn't that easily amused, Airi's somehow sure that Jurina will be happy tomorrow. Finally, Jurina will have new friends, classmates, and acquiantances. Jurina doesn't have any friends other than Airi. Although there are a lot of young assassins in the agency, Jurina doesn't talk to them or at least be acquainted because she's an introvert. Airi, on the other hand is an extrovert. She loves talking to people and bugging them, sometimes. It is true then that opposites do attract.

Airi went back to her room and got herself ready too for later's occasion.

Nishishi arrived earlier than expected. She was carrying school unifroms and transcripts when Jurina saw her by the hallway. She quickly went to Airi's room and called Airi out. Airi immediately went out of the room and walked with Jurina to the briefing room.

The two looked at each other when Nishishi slyly smiled at them while the three of them were walking towards the briefing room. The smile freaked Jurina out but Airi smiled back. Then they entered the Briefing room and Nishishi dropped the things on the table inside and sat down.

"Ahhhhh~ So tired." Nishishi sighed and plopped down in the chair. "You girls should appreciate what I do for you..." She looked at us and said. "Both of you sit down, alright."

Jurina and Airi bowed at her and sat down on the fluffy leather couch. Then Nishishi grabbed the still packed uniforms and tossed them at the two. "Will you fit them now? Let's see if they fit."

The duo nodded and stood up. Even though they were quite hesistant at first, they opened the uniform packs anyway.

The uniform was all blue. It had a white lining on its collar and has a red necktie (same with uniform in Kiss Datte Hidarikiki)

"What the fuck" Jurina cursed silently as she observes the uniform. "Do you actually think that I am going to wear this?" Jurina shivered at the thought of herself wearing the uniform.

Nishishi sighed loudly and slammed the desk and pointed at Jurina. "Hey kid, you don't have the right to complain. Remember, this is a mission. I do not care whether you like it or not. But you have to wear this, otherwise, you will face consequences." Jurina angrily looked away from the other woman while Nishishi smirked in victory.

Actually, Jurina never liked Nishishi. The woman always irritates the soul out of her. She hates it when someone bosses her around. But she has no choice because Nishishi brings the orders to them.

On the other hand, Airi was liking the new uniform. She remembered the time when she can still wear school uniforms.

Unlike Jurina, Airi was hired when she was still a yankee way back middle school. She was friends with the other assassin, Suda Akari. Both of them were contacted by a street cleaner who works for the agency before. She tried to remember the name but she thinks it was like Maeda or something. Since both of them were yankees, their parents didn't care nonetheless. They accepted the calling and trained. But after training, Airi and Akari were assigned in different places. Akari was assigned in Tokyo while Airi stayed in Nagoya. Ever since, they've never talked again because there was like a force stopping Airi in engaging a conversation with the other girl. Then she met Jurina and became friends with her instead.

Going back to reality, Nishishi saw Airi smiling from ear to ear. She knew that Airi will like the uniform because of her personality. Opposite from Jurina, Airi has a positive energy, at least for Nishishi. She asked Airi, "So, do you like it?"

Airi nodded and said, "I don't like it...I love it!" She was jumping up and down and went to the bathroom to try on the uniform.

Jurina was thinking twice whether she will be fitting the uniform or not. But since she saw Airi all enthusiastic with the outfit, she decided to try it on too and followed her.

Nishishi sat down on the couch and waited for the two to come out. She was the one who was asked to enroll the two girls in the Rukawa Girls High School. It's a private high school in uptown Sakae and the president's daughter's school. The school is known for being prestigious and expensive. But nevertheless, the mission is well funded so it was okay. If the mission fails, the money's wasted but she actually never doubted the two girls' skills, especially Jurina's.

She was a street cleaner before, but was promoted as a messenger because the senator trusts her more than anyone, so she knows how things work. She was just worried about their future, as proper beings.If the plan fails, both of them, or one of them will rot in jail. Plus, Jurina's just a kid. She knows she's something better than this.

But she brushed the thought away when the two came out from the bathroom. Their uniforms perfectly fit. Jurina seemed uncomfortable but she really looks cute. Airi looked younger and slimmer. In conclusion, the two looked good. Nishishi grinned at the sight in front of her. The two looked normal and harmless. Perfect.

"It's good. It's good." Nishishi gave two thumbs up. Jurina groaned and sat on the couch with Nishishi while Airi danced for a while. Nishishi stood up and got the transcripts. She opened them and leaned on the table to read them out loud.

"Okay.." The girls paid attention to her and Airi stopped dancing and sat with Jurina. Nishishi started explaining.

f what you're getting yourself into. The school you're enrolled in is Rukawa Girls High School. It's in uptown Sakae. It's a dorm school so you guys will live there at the same time. So better pack up tonight. Luckily, both of you are in the same class, which is 3-B and same room in the dorm. Room 481." She then turned the page. "Your homeroom teacher is Minigishi Minami. She will guide you through out the school year. You are 26 pupils in a class. School starts at 8am and ends at 5 in the afternoon. You are required to wear the uniforms everyday except Friday when you can wear anything." Nishishi looked at the girls. Seeing that they are still listening, she continued.

"The school has rules. Just read this." Nishishi handed them their student handbooks. "Well, no weapons. Okay? We don't want to scare anyone, do we?" Nishishi

"I am going to tell you more about the president's daughter." Jurina paid full attention as she heard what Nishishi said. She was anxious to meet the daughter. The daughter's identity has been kept for a long time for her safety.

"Her name is Matsui Rena." Furukawa quickly looked at her side. Jurina has the same surname! Jurina noticed it too and raised her hand.

"Uhm, Matsui, you said?"

"Yes. Matsui. Rena's adopted."

"Oh."

Nishishi proceeded.

"She's older than Jurina by one year. She's 17. She's also your classmate." Nishishi nodded. "Her identity is unknown to her classmates. Don't dare tell her true identity or else, the plan will fail." The two nodded.

"Hey, Airi, Jurina...I believe on you guys. Whatever happens, we'll be here. And I'll be picking you up tomorrow at 6am." Nishishi spoke sincerely. She cares about the two, even though it was not physically obvious.

Airi smiled and gave Nishishi a hug. She whispered, "Fear not Yuka. We'll be alright." Nishishi gasped. How could Airi know...

Airi winked at her while Jurina just bowed at her and said, "Thank you." Then the two girls gathered their things and headed out.

However, Nishishi still pondered about how Airi knew her name. It's impossible..except if Airi knew her before she was a cleaner. Nevertheless, she brushed off the thought and got out of the room too.

In Mariko's case....

Mariko woke up because of a conversation. She heard two girls talking to each other while giggling. She opened her eyes and realizes that she was not in her room, she was in a hospital. Then she remembers what happened last night. She rubbed her eyes and saw Yuki approaching her.

"Good afternoon sleepyhead." Yuki said as she gave her a facetowel. She saw Haruna looking at her while giggling which made her embarrassed of how she looks.

"Uhh, good afternoon Kashiwagi-san." Yuki nodded and said, "Haruna will be discharged tonight.. Now I'll leave the two of you to talk." With that said, Yuki took her leave.

Mariko rose up from her sleeping position and sat at the nearby chair in Haruna's bed. She smiled at the girl and asked, "You doing okay?"

Haruna chuckled and answered, "Yeah, my head hurts occasionally but I can manage."

Mariko nodded. She ran out of things to ask or to say. The atmosphere went back to its awkward state. Mariko played with her shirt while thinking of something to say while Haruna was just staring at the ceiling. Mariko has always been good with conversing with people, but looks like this time, her powers ran out and left her speechless. But good thing she remembered about her car and the other woman's car.

"Hey Haruna, I got your car towed and got it fixed in the shop." Mariko was definitely nervous. What if Haruna will get mad at her? What if Haruna didn't get angry at her because she was under pain before?

"Oh. Thank you Shinoda-san." Haruna tried to bow her head but failed, which caused Mariko to rose quickly to assist her.

"Be careful.."

Haruna nodded and said sorry. "Uhm, I called the company last night. Yuki helped me. I got fired..as expected." Mariko got mad at herself for being irresponsible. Psh. She owe this girl a favor.

"Don't worry, I'll get you a job. Everything's my fault anyway." She tried to make the other girl happier which eventually succeeded.

"Oh, thank you then. But I live in Tokyo.."

"Don't fret, I'll let you use my apartment here in Nagoya. I live with my family anyway." Mariko assured the other girl. Somehow, inside her, she felt like what has happened was fate. Like she was summoned to help Haruna, to guide her, to take care of her.. That's why she vowed to do anything to help her.

"Thank you Mariko. Even if you don't know me, you still helped me. I'm sorry too if I bothered you."

"No, no. Everything's my fault anyway." Mariko shyly smiled and scratched her head. "I'm gonna get you out of here tonight. Anyway, I'm gonna get us something to eat first." Haruna nodded and Mariko waved good bye. She then headed to the cafeteria.

While walking in the hallway, she kept telling herself to calm down. The emotions were too damn high and she can't contain herself. She hasn't felt this way before.

Oh boy, I guess our Mariko here is in love.

Meanwhile, back in the mansion.

"Hey Jurina."

"What?"

"What is the acronym for following?"

"Ff."
Then Airi quickly said.

"Hooray!"

(Didn't get the joke? Ff Hooray. Which is like hephep hooray. Don't bother thinking about the joke, it's corny anyway.)

Jurina sighed for nth time. Airi kept cracking jokes which she don't find funny at all.

"Why are you my friend..."

Airi frowned and punched Jurina on her shoulder.

"Hey, I am your best friend."

Jurina sheepishly grinned and wrestled her best friend. But was cut shortly as Jurina's dad came in.

"Jurina, Airi. Good evening."

The two courteously stood up and bowed.

"Good evening dad."
"Good evening sir."

Jurina's dad always come home but he comes home late. Jurina was closer to him when she was just a kid. But now, they don't talk to much.

"Tomorrow's the first day of school. Why are the two of you still up?" He folded his arms in his chest.

"Uh, we were gonna sleep already..we just talked for a while." Jurina answered.

"Okay, good night." Yuasa turned his heels around and walked to his office. Jurina and Airi went upstairs. Airin didn't bother Jurina anymore and went to her own room after saying her good nights to Jurina.

As Jurina walked inside her room, she remembered Mariko. Where the hell could she be? Jurina thought. She was gonna find her but she's already sleepy. She lied on her bed and started to drift away.

Jurina had set her alarm clock for 5am but she woke up at 6'o clock in the morning. Nishishi's gonna pick them up at 7. For short, Jurina's late.

"Oh shit I forgot to pack! I forgot it was a dorm school!" Jurina hurriedly gathered all her clean clothes and other belongings and packed them in her luggage bag. Good thing Airi had placed Jurina's school supplies in the latter's bag. She looked at the time.

"6:15 am. Okay I got to go shower" She hit the showers and heard Airi shouting from the outside.

"Jurina! Nishishi's gonna be here at 7am! Get up already!" Airi's voice made her even more panicked. She didn't take long as usual and quickly got dressed. She remembered something that made her facepalmed her self "Oh, we have a school uniform." So she quickly changed and shuffled all over the place. She looked at the clock again. "6:45. Perfect." She came out all ready and met Airi downstairs.

Airi looked at her and laughed. "Why are you wearing your uniform?" Jurina frowned. "We were supposed to right?"

"Dummy, we're supposed to wear that at school. We're just going to have an orientation today. Didn't read the student handbook, huh?" Airi laughed at her and handed her a handbook that was given yesterday. Jurina got pissed and was going to change but a car honked outside.

"Jurina, no time to change! Nishishi's here!" Airi dragged Jurina's belongings and went outside. Jurina groaned at her self for not reading the student's handbook and for not waking up early.

Nishishi greeted the two as she helped them put their luggage on the trunk. Nishishi's car was a SUV. As soon as they finished, Yuka drove away.

Rukawa was about 2 hours away from the Matsui's Mansion. The ride was long and quiet. Airi was sketching in her sketchbook while Jurina was playing with Airi's phone. After 2 gruelling hours, they finally arrived.

The school was built in a mountain top. It had 4 buildings, 3 for the school and another 1 for the dormitory. It also had a wide space for sports and activities. As they entered the school premises, a lot of students were already there with their parents, bidding goodbye and excitingly reuniting with friends. Jurina got nervous all of a sudden.

Nishishi stopped the car and all of them got out. Airi got their luggage while Jurina just observed in awe.

"Wow." This is Jurina's first time in school. Surely, her expectations will become reality.

As they finish unloading their luggage, Nishishi said,

"Good luck you guys. I'm going to see you soon. You're on your own starting now. Be responsible and don't get in to trouble." Yuka embraced the two and nodded. As they saw Yuka's car drift away, they looked at each other and grinned. They walked towards the dorm building hand in hand. There were students at the school gate, greeting freshmen and welcoming students back,

"Welcome to Rukawa Girls High School!"

Oh. This is gonna be good.
