Title: Red Dwarf
Post by: Smegzilla on May 17, 2006, 11:38:35 AM
I love this show, I just love it. My favourite TV show, period.

It may have stopped airing nearly 10 years ago, but that's not stopping me from watching my DVDs and enjoying it still all these years later.

Anyone else here watch it/like it?

And for those who've never heard of it, it's a sitcom set in space, mostly aboard a ship called Red Dwarf (bet ya wonder where the show got it's name? :P). It follows the misadventures, arguments and insane happenings of a guy called Dave Lister, a hologram called Arnold Rimmer, a Felisapien (guy who evolved from cats(they just call him "Cat")), and a little later on a Mechanoid called Kryten. There's also the ship's computer, called Holly, manifested as a face on a screen most of the time.

Here's a link if you wanna know more, or get a better idea of what this show is about, because I'm such a nice fella:

I want to lie shipwrecked and comatose, sipping fresh mango juice.
Goldfish are nipping at my toes.
Fun fun fun in the sun sun sun.

I've seen a few episodes on PBS, but they never air it any more here in the US.

They don't air it here much anymore. But all the 8 series' have been released on DVD, ending with series 8 this year.

You can get those in all countries. Well, if you want to, of course. I of course bought the limited edition box sets of series 5 and 8 to get a little model Starbug and a Skutter!

I love the Backwards episode. Can't remember which season it was on though.
