1000say

1000say is made of four members:

API (singing, bass)
MAN (singing, guitar)
NON (drums)
MICHELLE (synthesizer)

The band was formed around MAN who was a student at the time. There were several member changes until September 2005 with the current members. Electro sounds and the presence of two singers allow to experience a new concept that the band qualified as a “new generation of fantastic”, mixing digital and analogical.

So I heard Slack had met the band at the on going Japan Expo in the US, so I decided to check them out and I LIKE IT! Haha the melodies sound uplifting. Gives me a good feeling :D

Of course the official interview will come, but I'll give my impressions now:

MAN is definitely the leader, he did most of the talking when questions weren't directed at anybody in particular. He was thoughtful, and had good answers.

MICHELLE was SUPER quiet, and stared at the translator the whole time. Short answers. I'm not sure if it was his persona, or he was tired, or what.

API was SO freaking cute. And she had the best nails. She had little twin stars (from Sanrio) nails. And she smiled at me a lot because I think she could tell I was nervous.

NON got most of our questions before the translator had to say anything - I have the feeling she knows as much english as Slack and I know japanese. So she got the gist, but not the finer points. She laughed when I pointed out API's nails, and she gave us presents! PRESENTS! I love presents.

So yes. Successful interview, they are really cool, and I'd love to see them play more shows here. I bet they'd be really well received if they played in a club or at a local theater.

OH CRAP!! NON was the one who contacted me to set this all up. SHE's real nice telling me she met Slack bummed I couldn't be there xD
