Nogizaka46 7th single announced today at the Zepp Tokyo first show, releases on November 27th
Nogizaka46 have revealed that they will release a new single (currently untitled) on November 27.
This surprise announcement was made on August 30 during the Zepp Tokyo daytime concert of their nationwide tour 'Manatsu no Zenkoku Tour 2013'. Regarding the new song, captain Sakurai Reika commented, "We want to make a single that will meet the expectations of everyone and surpass our previous single 'Girl's Rule'."
The details and senbatsu members for the single have not been revealed at this time. Nogizaka46's 6th single "Girl's Rule", with Shiraishi Mai as center, has become a hit song selling over 500,000 copies.

It is officially announced today that Nogizaka46, a female idol group produced by Yasushi Akimoto along with AKB48 and other sister groups, will sing a new OP theme song for TV Tokyo's long-running TV anime series Naruto Shippuden. The anime will start featuring their untitled song as the OP theme from the October 3 episode for the next six months. It will be the 14th OP theme following the current song "Niwaka Ame Nimo Makezu" by NICO Touches the Walls. The release date of the single CD of the song has not been decided yet.
In addition, six members of the group (Rina Ikoma, Reika Sakurai, Nanami Hashimoto, Nanase Nishino, Sayuri Matsumura, Yumi Wakatsuki) form a new unit named "Naruzaka46" as an official supporter team for the anime. The will start appearing in a 15-second section in the anime's September 5 episode. They will also take charge of "Naruto Tsushin-Narutsu," an information page in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump.
Nogizaka46 will be releasing their 7th single on November 27th. The center for "Barrette" will be claimed by 2nd generation member Hori Miona. More details on the song will be revealed at a later date.
The single will be released in 5 different versions: Type A, Type B, Type C, Regular Edition, and Anime Edition. As the coupling track, the single will include "Tsuki no Ookisa" which is the opening theme for tv anime 'NARUTO'.

Nogizaka46's latest single sells 395,000 copies in the first week
Idol group Nogizaka46's 7th single "Barrette" (released on November 27) grabbed the number one spot on Oricon's latest weekly chart.
"Barrette" centered Kenkyuusei member Hori Miona who joined the group back in May, and it sold 395,000 copies during the first week which is the best first week sales for the group since their debut.
Also, this is the 6th consecutive chart-topping single since their 2nd single "Oide Shampoo."
