Instrumentals are pretty sweet, as is the PV. Not sure I'm digging where they went with the vocal delivery though.

Funny, it looks a lot like the things we are learning to do on Final Cut Pro X on a course I'm at. Makes me wonder if a good software is the reason behind their PVs being better each time...

There's an overload of graphics in some moments but the rest is quite good.

I like both MVs, though "Aitte..." reminds me of a post-apocalyptic version of the "Shock" MV.

My impressions:

Tokai no Hitorigurashi
So...this is like the third single now that they're using the same melodic/rhythmic pattern for the chorus! Seriously, compare it with [noembed]"Kiss Me Aishiteru" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l_jiJu4Lfg)[/noembed] and [noembed]"Crazy Kanzen na Otona" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pjGkL-VoEc)[/noembed], it's pretty much the same! Though I can't really blame them for wanting to stick with a winning formula.

Musically the song is good, I'm digging what they did with the horns and funk guitars...vocals are alright I guess. But damn, that chorus recycling is gonna stick. :P I wonder if the lyrics and theme of the song are a counterpart/response to [noembed]another single they released earlier this year (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMp4DS64zTE)[/noembed]. Yet at the same time, the title, especially with its official English translation, totally reminds me of [noembed]Stevie Wonder (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzR51V82tnY)[/noembed]. 8)

I really like what they did with the video effects, the transitions and pauses are well done and fun to watch, and I love how it all contrasts with the mostly plain white set. I suppose some of the graphical invasions during the dance shots are a bit overkill but having them keeps with the visual consistency of the overall video. Just like with [noembed]"Kanashiki Amefuri" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LT10sAB7jm4)[/noembed], a good video is less about "budget" (whatever that could actually mean) and more about creativity with what you got.

Ai tte Motto Zanshin
This is musically a lot more interesting than the other song, with its somewhat jazzy intro and more dynamic beats, but like "Tokai no Hitorigurashi" the chorus serves as the song's weak point with the way it starts. The triplet rhythm is a bit jarring the way it kinda forces its will over the song when it comes on, but at the same time it does add some nice variety to the composition.

Another reason I like this song is it sounds like it came out of a late '90s / early 2000s Japanese video game, at least for me anyway. It has a similar feel to [noembed]this menu music from an old WWE game (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wf7BMXcGFR4)[/noembed] and [noembed]this track from F-Zero GX (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIbMkqqFsHo)[/noembed]...I know I could probably find other examples but that's gonna take me a while.

The camouflage outfits are pretty hot; I like how they look with the hats on. The abandoned building setting is a questionable choice, but it's something at least.

Funny, it looks a lot like the things we are learning to do on Final Cut Pro X on a course I'm at.
You know, I like to think that a statement like this should be a good thing: the fact that these kinds of effects are accessible to just about anyone now rather than just industry pros shows how far technology has come today, and I think that's pretty cool.

^^ So they even surpass all the previous single right??  :twothumbs :twothumbs so proud of them  :twothumbs :twothumbs Now this is become the biggest 1st-day sales of C-ute history! hope will be sold more than 80k. This week chart will be interesting, Hottaka Band (1st place) only 1181 different than C-ute single's, Momoclo in 3rd place is a big contender too, don't forget AKB still there. Goodluck C-ute..

Day 2:

- Hottaka Band still at #1 so it's highly likely they'll get the weekly #1
- C-ute dropped to #6
- Momoclo made up the difference by being #2nd with 14K, so I think they're slightly ahead of C-ute for the weekly.
- Kalafina and such are no threat for C-ute's top 3 position.

Breaking C-ute's record of 60,592 should be doable!
