Announced at Day 3 of Request Hour 2014 (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=36647.msg1256326#msg1256326), AKB48 Group to hold a "shuffle matsuri" at Zepp Tokyo on 24th Feb 2014...
Whether this means just a concert with shuffled songs or an actual team shuffle seems to be completely up in the air at the moment :panic:

If the jus do concert with shuffled songs there is Unit Matsuri.
As I saw the video, it was a collabs of shuffle announcements!

I already said this on twitter but if it does turn out to be another huge shuffle, I'm actually betting it's only AKB that's getting shuffled and that the sister groups are only there for concurrent positions. A re-shuffle for HKT wouldn't make sense at all since they just got shuffled a few weeks ago and it hasn't even taken effect yet, SKE also just got shuffled like last year and it would be extremely stupid to shuffle them again and as for NMB, a shuffle for them now is unlikely when there was a whole discussion regarding the topic between Kaneko, Nana and Sayanee about a year ago and that's what caused the sole transfer for Nana to M. Not to mention there's the whole moving around girls who are still Jr. High girls around the country and a bunch of other factors that would make an intergroup shuffle seem very unlikely imo.
But in the end, who knows? Maybe it could be management just trolling us and it's actually a shuffle unit concert since they didn't really specify anything other than the "Grand Shuffle" part but even that could mean anything. Either way, we're just as clueless as the girls are right now and the only way to find out is just wait and see, I guess.

Let's hear some predictions for bragging rights and to get hyped!
- Takahashi Minami graduation announcement (will become full time part of the staff instead)
- Tanaka Natsumi (HKT48) exchange to NMB48
- Nonaka Misato to JKT48
...Man, so many possibilities.
There are tons of old and/or invisible girls in AKB48 and tons of irrelevant girls in the sister groups.
It all comes down to which girls they want to promote, which is almost impossible to predict.

Well then let's see my predictions..
- AKB48/SKE48/NMB48 will have a huge reshuffle, exchanging members in between the groups. (HKT just formed new teams, so it's unlikely they will shuffle them again...)
- Matsui Rena will go to AKB48 (EDIT. to be precise, I am guessing Team A), while Watanabe Mayu will go to NMB48, while Ogasawara Mayu will go to SKE48.
- Kashiwagi Yuki will announce her graduation.
- Jurina and Milky will lose their concurrent positions and become only SKE/NMB members.
Well, Nonaka Misato might go to JKT48, as some of other non pushed girls have a chance to go too... If I had to, I would put my 2 cents for Ishida Haruka going to JKT48.

Well, the news of the grand shuffle coming soon has gave me a bothering thought. So bothering that I can't concentrate for my chemistry exam which will took place in a few more hours from the time I'm posting this . :P
Anyway, a lot fans has submit their thoughts on a poll made in another forum, as for my self, I put in:

Well, there are some rumors going around the fans that Myao once talked about how she would like to visit Indonesia on a Team K stage MC. And I think it would be quite benefitial for her to do so because I hate the fact that she wasn't much pushed anymore. In fact, not pushed anymore.. Her slump for the last sousenkyo is shocking to me and I think JKT could be the best answer for her if she wants to stay in the 48 group

- Matsui Rena will go to AKB48 (EDIT. to be precise, I am guessing Team A), while Watanabe Mayu will go to NMB48, while Ogasawara Mayu will go to SKE48.
- Kashiwagi Yuki will announce her graduation.
- Jurina and Milky will lose their concurrent positions and become only SKE/NMB members.
Well, Nonaka Misato might go to JKT48, as some of other non pushed girls have a chance to go too... If I had to, I would put my 2 cents for Ishida Haruka going to JKT48.

Team A
- Putting Kawaei, Paruru and Iriyama together is a bad move. They need to break away from their clique to open up more.
- Nao, Fuu, Sakura and Aamin adds a lot of freshness
- Chiyori and Nakamura can deal with the variety related stuff.
- Kojima Haruna seems old and out of place. No sub-captain either, so yeah, time to move on soon maybe.
Team K
- Yokoyama Yui got screwed.
- This team has pretty much all the annoying/loud, negative and self-centered characters. Tensions will rise quickly I reckon.
- Glad to see Yui and Sayaka reunited
- I fear Haruppi will go to waste in this team. I can't see how she'll fit in with Sayaka and Jurina.
- Funny how all the aces are kenrin. Team K at it's core is still as underpowered as it was before the shuffle.
Team B
- Ogasawara was slowly going to waste in NMB48, so happy she'll get a new chance here.
- French Kiss re-united in one team!!
- Mayu and Yuki re-united!
- Mio is there for no apparent reason, haha.
- Yokoshima Aeri's era is about to begin. Mark my words.
- Lmao, Ikoma Rina. Now Nogizaka fans will be forced to vote in the election. How evil.

- Big news is Yuria's transfer. Even though she talked about moving to Tokyo, she didn't seem happy about it. I think she might do ok in this line-up though.
- Kinda strange how they only removed Mako from this team, who is supposedly their ace.
- Kato Rena back in Team 4 will do nothing for her, nor the team.
Team S
- LOL, so much going on here.
- Sae as captain? Honestly, I thought Sae already quit. I can't see her wanting to be any part of this.
- Milky and Boss Takana in SKE48 is going to take some getting used to as well, haha.
- They pretty much shuffled a lot of my disliked girls to this team, so I can already say I won't be paying attention to them in the near future. Too bad, because I quite like Boss Tanaka.
Team KII
- Happy that Airin is getting some attention
- Other than that this team strikes me as very plain
- Yamada Nana would have been better of elsewhere
Team E
- There is a LOT to like there: Kyon, Non, Koami, Aya, Suda and Rena are some of my top favs!
- Sumire didn't seem happy, but this might be good for her.
- Aw yeah Tani! One of the most hated girls by HKT48 fans. Glad she's away from there.
- Matsui Rena picked Tani as her HKT48 oshi, so it'll be fun to see them together
- Suda being the serious leader? Hot.
Team N
- So much going on here as well
- Not sure what Yuki can achieve here. She already has a lot going on, quite succesfully so.
- Keira and Murashige; battle of the halfies. Anna will try to fatten her up.
- Not much to say, might be good!
Team M
- Fujie actually fits in pretty well here!
- Jo promotion after her recent comeback, in the same team as her main rival Fuuko.
- This team has potential, let's hope any rivalries will make them stronger
Team BII
- Umeda hanging out with Lemon, Akane and Konomi strikes me as hilarious
- Added ace potential by Milky, Shuu and Takano Yui
- Pretty interesting team, lots of fun girls.
Team H
- Nako AND Miku in this team together?! And Meru? Poor Haruppi.
Team KIV
- Kanon might not do as well as Lovetan.
- Sakura Mio Aoi triple threat remains the same
JKT48
- We were all expecting an upopular member to go abroad and so it happened.
- I think Chikano will do really well there. At least better than Akicha, haha.
Nogizaka46
- AW YEAH. I totally called this on Twitter yesterday.
- Matsui Rena and her protege Hori Miona together will be amazing
- It'll be interesting to see how girls like Shiraishi and Nishino will react to Rena, since they seem pretty closed personalities.
In sum:
- AKB48's Teams became more balanced, but all of them became less interesting.
- SKE48 has been reduced to Team E for me. I don't care about S and KII on any level.
- NMB48 is actually looking pretty interesting. All they need is a fun weekly show and we're off!
- HKT48 has turned into an even more loli team. Given how Odekake is becoming less interesting as well, my HKT48 days are probably over. I think most hardcore HKT48 are pleased with this shuffle though, so good for them.
- Nogizaka46 is looking better than ever. Not a huge Ikoma fan, but she'll still be around which is good for the group.

Okay so this was one hell of a ride, was listening live and wow... so crazy....so many things.... Where to begin...let's see...
OVERALL, I find this shuffle one of the best shuffles ever, except some really not nice moves, which I shall talk about a bit later.
For now, let's see the new teams and which is my favorite. My all the time Favorite Team was always Team K (Old and New), followed by Old Team S (which had wMatsui). How things are now?

I'm pissed at the fact that HKT had a shuffle just to get another shuffle :angry:
Beyond that fact, I feel now all the teams have equalized
The draft for trainees really got thrown out the window (Very good point!!!)
Sae being captain is really a slap in the face for just thinking of that.
The members that were sent off from AKB have their shots to make an impression :nervous
Sending ChikaRina to JKT was lulz
The Captain/Vice Captain works out and beyond that it seemed like they wanted to throw names into a blender and see if it works.
The team that wins is Team K with YuiRie leading and having two aces in concurrent.
COngrads to Kuramochi in being a captain and having French Kiss in a group.
HKT feelings:
* Natsu being Vice captain is great and earns a spot to move on
* MikuMako works out
* Haruppi gets the best of concurrency with less mess in front
* Sakura will be stuck behind the imperial force of the better performers
* Anya has a shot to do well in NMB, she has the talent and drive to make it work
* Boss has the chance to bloom with SKE and Sae as captain will be helpful
* K4 looks like a scrappy team. I'm not sure where they will be going
* The two friends (Tani and Chori) get sent their separate ways
Overall it seems okay to have KitaRie and Kuramochi have positions in their respective teams because they were deputies to Yuuko in general but bails out a serious problem Team K would have faced when she (Yuuko) leaves. And from the fic point of view, concurrencies rule XD because you open up the pairings and then the small victories (for how lame it is) come out. The hell. It has been proclaimed as just horrible in general :lol:
One other thing, I want to hear some drama like someone wanting to not move and have others move over :lol:

After spending So Long ! on the damn team members writing up, I'm back for more punishment with my thoughts...
Firstly, I'm glad I wrote down my thoughts on the current 48groups in the ranking thread at the weekend, to see how they compare post-shuffle: http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=20371.msg1262475#msg1262475 (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=20371.msg1262475#msg1262475)
The two main points I have about the shuffle - when will these new Teams start performing? What will they perform? Team N is currently the only team doing an original stage, and they haven't been doing it long. Will all the teams get new Waiting Stages or do old AKB ones? What were the old teams waiting for anyway? Waiting to be shuffled? Also, since there's now so many concurrent members - will they actually perform more than a few times with their secondary teams? Some of them have been pretty famous for barely appearing... Jurina, for example, has spent almost two years as a concurrent member but only appeared 5 times with Akimoto Team K, and another 7 with Oshima Team K... For them to be affective, the members need to actually take part more with their second teams before they get shuffled about yet again...
Staff
TGSK hasn't appeared for months since his weed-smoking scandal, and now he gets demoted to the customer services :lol:
Let's hope he doesn't offer the customers other, legally dubious, services on the side :lol:
Shinobu stepping up to the Group manager is a big deal though - she's a real core of the staff team who all members know and respect.
Team A
Takamina doesn't get the full move to the boardroom a lot of people predict, and I was like "who?" at Nakamura Mariko's announcment... Moving Kojiharu and Paruru here is moving B's strongest members. Chori getting transferred from HKT makes me laugh. Like Umeda Team B, I don't really see myself watching this team for the members...
Team K
Cap'n Yui gets moved over. K looked really weak pre-shuffle with all the grads, and this New K doesn't seem any stronger... They have some strong concurrent members, but, as mentioned above, I don't expect them to perform for anything more than the shonichi and their birthday shows anyway... which leaves Kojima Mako as the 2nd strongest member of the team - but they pulled her away from her musketeer friends, which should give her even more spotlight.
Team B
MaYuki!!!! The Mayu fans will know I'm not even a MaYuki fan, but, dayum, MaYuki back in Team B together does indeed make me happy and excited. I think they will both be really pleased at this :)
Kuramochi won our poll (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=36950.0) for new Team K captain, but guess she made it as captain of B instead. As for the rest of the team, nice to see French Kiss re-united again, would be good if they had a unit song together (although I'd love a MaYuki unit song, just give Yukirin two!)
I don't like NMB Mayu, mainly due to her impersonation of my Mayu, so not liking her transfer to the same team. Owada Nana seems really cute so I'll be glad to see more of her. Mio is a top HKT member so would be nice if she could appear a bit more - Haruppi and Mayu barely ever shared a Team A stage. As for Ikoma Rina... well, I don't really think she's going to perform a lot. I also think it will be a big shock for a Nogizaka member if she were forced to actually perform more than once in a blue moon!
Team 4
Out of all the AKB teams, this one was the most left untouched. It's still all the newbies, with a load more newbies added, but their most popular member removed... I don't really care for the concurrenies, and the only interesting thing left is Yuria from SKE48, which indeed a surprise.
Team S
The thing with Sae... really? And the big question is "will she actually take it?". She famously turned down her AKB Team K concurrency and hasn't been doing much since. I really like Sae, so would be good to see her in action more. They moved a couple of ex-Team 4 members here, who were tipped to be really big when they were in Old Team 4, but since the disbandment, haven't really done much, I don't know if SKE will help them. Miyuki getting concurrency is interesting in that, since she is senbatsu, she is basically now in AKB48, SKE48, and NMB48! That's a lot of handshake events she's going to have to attend! Ryoha getting promoted is no surprise.
Team KII
No real interest here for me... Yamada Nana concurrency a surprise.
Team E
Suuchan left AKB48 :(
I was saying that now Yuko is graduating, and since Haruppi is concurrent, Suuchan was now my #2 in AKB48... but now she's not an AKB48 member... I guess that makes her my default SKE48 oshi?
Kicking Tani Marika out of HKT48 is welcome to me, she is really pretty and performs well but is just so goddamn annoying it ruins everything.
Team N
Old N haven't done N3 much, I wonder if New N will do it, or what? Yuki going concurrent was a surprise. We'll see how that turns out... probably means more to NMB senbatsu rather than Team N. Possibly same with HKT Anna, although she won't have too much impact compared to Yuki
Team M
Not much to say here apart from like N, it's weird the captain is concurrent in another group.
Team BII
So they split Miyuki from Sayanee and Nana... like putting one of their big members in each team. I guess they are trying to balance out the power in NMB - before this they were the only group not to have shuffled (apart from Nana). It's really a shame for the Team N girls who moved to M and BII what happens with N3, they waited So long! for it...
Team H
Well, the previous shuffle hadn't even been implemented yet, and I've no idea what's different. I'm not a fan of the splitting up of the gens, I liked Old H a lot. But this makes Cap'n Chihiro the only Captain to survive two shuffles? It's kinda sad that quite a few of the HKT girls I dislike join Haruppi's team... really not looking forward to seeing Haruppi and Meru together - I always previously preferred the Team H versions of HKT48 songs... Oh, and they promoted the two popular loli 3rd gen girls to H, haha. A bit uneven, could have sent one to KIV...
Team KIV
Well, without my HKT oshi, I don't really see myself watching this team, which means poor Aoi will fade away even faster for me. Also, they seem to have moved all the "annoying" HKT girls out to different teams, Chori, Tani, and Anna. KIV's two strongest members, Sakura and Mio, got a concurrency so I wonder how that will work out. Kanon to HKT doesn't mean much to me at all.
JKT48
Akicha finally returns, good for her, she seemed to hate it. Not fussed about Chikano.
Nogizaka46
Well, that was a bit of a waste really, they could have really shuffled Nogizaka into 48 more. I doubt Ikoma will do much in Team B, but it's good she joins her AKB oshi (Mayu's) team. I also doubt Rena will do much in Nogi, apart from take up lead spot in senbatsu. She probably will appear on their TV show too, I guess, and it means she has to turn up for AKB, SKE, and Nogizaka handshakes. If they were going to bring members over, I would have liked Maiyan, Sayurin, Hoshimina. Maiyan Team A would have been perfect. Also, is Ikoma going to break the gravure ban? What happens if she gets elected to the yearly swimwear photobook?

Team A
- To have Takamina as captain again is a bit of a step backwards. She's already the soukantoku. I think that has more than enough responsibility on her. It strikes me as if staff has no faith in the newer generation girls. In 2014, this isn't a good sign.
- I guess it's nice that Haruna will get to graduate with the team she started in, but for her to not be captain of even subcaptain(whatever that is lol) makes it pretty clear she's checking out sometime soon-ish.
- Chori fully transferred over seems like it could be good or bad for her. She kinda wobbled in and out of HKT senbatsu, but I don't really see her making AKB's senbatsu simply because of all the established girls and flood of sister group members. Maybe this will work out in her favor as far as getting random variety work on Tokyo television? *shrug* I will miss her on Odekake though. :(
- Draft members are "promoted" already? Heh. Lovely, I'm sure they'll add a lot. Yeah, I'm a bit sour on the whole draft thing. It seems like a really un-thought out idea that has undermined girls who were already experienced and "in line" to get some love.
- Pretty strong kennin's in Team A now. Too bad they make pretty much no difference from the perspective of a foreign fan except for on demand shows. Maybe it'll work in their favor for the sousenkyo.
Team K
- Just as Yuihan was gaining even more momentum and settling into Team A, they desperately try to increase Team K's relevance with her. I don't like it at all. It's such a forced initiative.
- Kojima Mako also picking up some of the slack. At least she can be an ace in this team most likely. There's not much competition.
- This push to make Moe the next Tomochin... they're even putting her in Tomo's old team. Sigh. :lol:
- Aside from Mako and Yui, this team is still kinda without "star power", aside from the kennin's. The one thing that could have been fixed with this reorganization and they totally dropped the ball on!
Team B
- Mocchi as captain? Not what I think of when I think Team B at all, but she's pretty awesome so hopefully she'll do good. Plus it's not like the teams have much identity anymore. There's just a stereotype in my mind from years past. :lol:
- Ikoma Rina. lol. This totally sounds snobby but I wish they'd leave Nogizaka out of this. I liked the idea that they were separate and rivals of AKB48. So much for that marketing tagline.
- A few Team 4 girls moved here, and I think it could be a good thing. They fit the stereotypical Team B persona. Could be cool!
- Maachun getting moved here will probably be a good thing for her. She was starting to fall to the NMB wayside and it broke my heart. She's way too awesome a girl for that to happen. I hope she can get something going on here.
- I bet Takajo Aki is so happy that she doesn't have to go to Indonesia anymore. :lol:
- Happy to see Owada Nana promoted. She's cool.
- Looks like Nozawa Rena is here to stay. I hope she can find success. She's an interesting person, speaks English, is super cute.. I will be rooting for her. :D
- Mayuyu back at home plate. I don't think it'll make much difference, really. She has her level of popularity and it will probably stick no matter where she is.
Team 4
- They sure messed with this team a lot for it being brand new.
- Kizaki Yuria transferring is huge news, and to me, good news. Now that she can't pull the kawaii teenager card for too much longer, she needs to reinvent herself. This is the perfect opportunity. -When I read Sae was the Team S captain I laughed. I honestly though she will quit before this happens, but apparently she has already said that she accepts it. Interesting. She might as well since for one reason or another, she's done nothing with SNH48. If it's that much a pain in the ass to get her working there, just bring her back.
-There are screenshots going around of Karen basically saying "I ain't going anywhere" from a supposedly deleted Google+ post. I can kinda see why. She has done a ton of work within AKB48 for the disaster relief and such. Sure, she could continue her work here, but SKE48 would be a bit of a trade down for her in some ways.
-Natsumikan in Team S? O...kay. Random.
-Milky in Team S? O...kay. Random.
Team KII
- Hopefully Airin will get some good attention out of this.
- Oba Mina fully transferred is good news. I think she works quite well in SKE48. Hopefully this will enhance the situation even further!
- Yamada Nana in KII? Random, but could be cool. This could play out nicely.
- Takashima Yurina fully moved. Wow. It's kind of a bummer to see her taken away from Team 4, but she always said she loved SKE48. I hope she reacts kindly to this, and that it's a good move for her. She's an awesome girl.
- KII has a lot of unknowns/untapped girls in it. Right now the team feels underpowered, but there's potential here. A lot of girls have a chance to learn from their senpai and start something awesome. Here's to hoping that happens.
Team E
-Suda Akari is the captain? Awesome already. :lol:
-Sato Sumire's move here could be big for her. This could be GREAT new start. She was basically rotting in AKB48 aside from her modeling work. I hope she rises to SKE fame. This might be my favorite transfer of this whole event. I have a really good feeling about it.
-Tani Marika... You know, she's kind of like Rattrap from Beast Wars: Transformers. She can be loud, annoying, kinda dumb, and you sometimes just have to tell her to shut up, but she's so loveable and awesome at the same time. I think HKT's loss is SKE's gain here. With pretty much no one of the same chara to compete with(except Yakata Miki, oh my god epic duo is coming :w00t:), she might thrive and grow as an idol and entertainer. This could be a lot of fun.
Team N
-NMB48 got the best shuffle results of all the groups. Their girls needed a good cycle to nuke the Team N monopoly and I think they did a pretty good job here.
-Kikuchi Ayaka getting moved to NMB48 can only be good. She was another of the forgotten middle members, so hopefully she can get some good work out of this. I'm sure not every moved member will become senbatsu of their new groups, but at least it gives them *some* chance of something.
-Ota Yuuri for future ace. She has the look for it, at least. :lol:
Team M
- A bunch of middle girls and Yagura Fuuko. They certainly cleared the path for her to be Team M's ace, didn't they? :lol:
- My comments about Kikuchi Ayaka also apply to Fujie Reina. This move can only be good for her, neutral at worst.
- This team has a lot of girls with potential in it. Hopefully some new stars can shine.
Team BII
- Wow, Umechan's new home. It's kinda funny that it's still a B-team. :lol: I guess it can be a good thing. It feels like she kinda hit a wall in AKB48, so... alright. We'll see I guess. She doesn't fit the stereotypical BII image at all. This could be neat. Maybe she will get along with Takano Yui. :o
- Lemon has also gone full-NMB. I'm happy about that. She works in NMB amazingly well. It's shocking, magic! :lol:
- Takano Yui is a cool girl, I'm thinking she might stand out more in this new team.
Team H/KIV
- Not much change in HKT since they just had a shuffle, but I think it's kind of nuts that Miku and Nako are already being promoted. I guess we gotta make room in the kenkyuusei for the next big star in the making that was born in 2005. :lol:
JKT48
- Chikano Rina has nothing to lose and everything to gain. The question is, does she want it? Moving to another country that speaks a language you don't is not a small thing to do.
Nogizaka46
-I love Matsui Rena, but when I read about her being kennin'd to Nogizaka46 I honestly cringed a bit. I really like Nogizaka being a more independent entity. It's not going to be bad, but I really don't like how they aren't an island unto themselves anymore. But eh... It could be fun. It probably will be fun. I just like Nogizaka46 being consistent. :nervous
Staff
Togasaki got canned a bit, probably for his cannabis. Hopefully the people do well in their roles. I can't say much more than that, given my foreign fan status. :lol:
So overall, some interesting stuff going on here. Some things I like, and some things I don't. I had a lot of negative things to say about AKB48. I don't think the changes correct what was wrong with the group. Maybe the shuffle has happened too many times and the magic has worn off. The first shuffle was a total game changer. I was into it. The second AKB48 shuffle rocked my world at first. I thought what an amazing thing, AKB48 is reinvented! All that ended up happening was the teams lost their identity and became almost irrelevant to my personal fandom. It was a major bust to me. This third shuffle just feels like another incremental change to make the morning news. It feels like Team K gets a bandaid with Mako and Yui, and I was kind of hoping for more than that. The coolest thing to happen is Yuria's transfer. That will be epic to see, and I have a good feeling about it. SKE48 has some really interesting transferred members that could find new life in the group, but I also feel like the existing SKE girls just had their names drawn out of a hat to find their new place. NMB48 got a much needed refresh and I hope the group will have a healthier team dynamic now, although Team M has a lot of growing to do. Hopefully they rise to the challenge. I hope Ayarin and Reinyan find a new, prosperous career in NMB. They're great girls and it sucks that they got lost in the mix over the years. And Chikano Rina, take the offer or find a new path. This is your best chance, girl. :lol:
HKT got out with little harm done as expected, but the Nako and Miku promotions are a good segway into something else that bugs me about all this. I mean, here we are with a new shuffle, and unproven draft girls we've barely seen and kenkyuusei who debuted less than three months ago are now promoted members. Not only that, but so many of these teams will end their run without ever having done an original stage. That's borderline wrong to me considering what group we're talking about here. I'm all for a change-up. I think I've been one of the more pro-change fans over the years, but this is really getting a bit out of hand. The attention span AKS tends to have these days is starting to hurt the members. We are constantly moving on to the next amazing miracle girl and nothing ever gets seen through to the end. AKB48 is full of failed and abruptly ended pushes, but nevermind that, we have Kojima Mako and Nishino Miki and Okada Nana! I love those girls, but my gosh, let's see something through instead of looking for the next 2005-born member who will change the world... until 2006 comes along. I'm starting to think perhaps maybe my AKB48 fandom has peaked. It's not like I'm checking out anytime soon, but I feel like the group is starting to lose its identity for me. There's some really cool things I'm excited about from this super shuffle, but some of it just feels arbitrary and incremental.

- 1st gen Kojiharu not Team A sub-leader. weird. She'll probably grad soon, but I think they should've still given her the spot for now.
- I wasn't interested in pre-shuffle Team A much. I think now its pretty nice.

- Yuihan moved back to K leader. Having her and Sayaka in the same team is a plus. :)
- too many members with the same chara. will probably get on some people's nerves.
Team B
- MaYuki is back~ :luvuluvu: You don't know how many times I've felt depressed seeing that MaYuki banner (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=12042.msg938578#msg938578) I made for the forum appear every time I visit. It's all good now. MaYuki FTW!! :heart:

- Rena in Nogi46. Sounds like a lot of fun. Rena being in a different environment sounds good.
- Moving Suuchan to SKE. WTH, Umechan to Team BII and turned to sub-captain WTH x2 (they're in good teams though, so I guess that's good)
- I still think they should've asked Sae to be Team K leader. Putting her in random Team S, SKE's main team, makes no sense for her or SKE. Wonder why they made this choice.
- HKT gets a friggin cannon Kanon. Loli team turns more Loli.
All the other double-posts/transfers aren't that interesting. I'd rather they did it with younger members that have more potential for growth. I think that's why it worked out so well for Yui (overseas transfers helped team-building, so they've been great too). But all the others haven't been really beneficial.
It also gives headaches keeping up with which member is where (e.g. Churi is in KII and BII. Which B is BII?!?!)

So this grand shuffle made me regain that little bit of interest in AKB48 by putting my AKB48 Top 2 and Nogizaka46 oshimen in the same team :lol:
After the initial shock yesterday, I've slept on the issue and am now kinda excited about what the moves can bring to my favourite girls.
*Note: These are mainly my thoughts on my top girls so if you aren’t interested in them, you can skip this post.
Nogizaka46 getting involved
Before the shuffle, I was hoping that Aki-p wouldn't mess with Nogizaka46 and just kept his crazy ideas to the 48G because they were supposed to be rivals, weren’t they? But no, he went ahead and pulled Ikoma Rina into Team B and Matsui Rena into Ngzk (thankfully, just concurrent positions). As with my opening statement, I've been sucked into the Ngzk fandom recently and truly didn't want anyone to mess with the group that the Ngzk girls have built painstakingly. They are amazing as they are without having any 48G members mixed in. But putting that aside, there will be good things to come out of this exchange programme.
- Ikoma can raise awareness for Ngzk by being in AKB48.
- Maybe it's a sign that management still has high hopes for Ikoma (who is such a recognizable face in Ngzk) by entrusting this spy mission role to her. She hasn't been center ever since after Ngzk's 5th single and I was worried that she would get shafted to the back in favour of new pushed targets.
- Ngzk fans can wage war against AKB48 by banding together to vote for Ikoma in this year’s AKB48 general election (if there will be one)!! Now we can finally have some real rivalry action! :twisted:
- My wota heart will be fluttering with joy every time the new Team B performs because all my favourites are now together, though that also means my oshi goggles will go into overdrive and I'll get dizzy looking out for my girls.
- Rena can increase her personal fanbase with the exposure in Ngzk. It’d be good for her solo career if more people get to know her.
- Mayu and Ikoma can danso together and charm the socks off girls worldwide! :inlove:
My worries (I’d be lying if I say I am not worried):
- Rena will take the all-important fukujin spot from the Ngzk girls in future singles. The Ngzk girls agonize over making into every single’s senbatsu team and fukujin that I can’t imagine how they’d feel if someone else comes and along and rob them of that highly sought after position that they are working so hard for. Rena is already in both AKB and SKE senbatsu teams so I personally don't want her in Ngzk senbatsu too. Maybe they can give it to her for one single for the exposure and that’s it. Of course, to be fair, this applies to Ikoma in AKB48 too.
- I hope this Ngzk involvement will be a one-off thing because like Datalanche, I still prefer AKB48 and Nogizaka46 to be two entirely separate groups. That's the whole point of being rivals.
Watanabe Mayu back in Team B
I know some Mayu fans are worried that she’d lose the group ace candidacy now that she is out of Team A (and it would go to Paru instead). However, I’m actually happy for Mayuyu because she had been focusing so much on AKB48 as a group while she was in Team A and feeling very responsible for the group’s future. I think in a way, she neglected to consider her own future carefully which is very important because I still don’t see a clear path for her after all this while. Mariko has her fashion line; Yuko is going into acting; Yukirin is working on her solo music career. But what is Mayu going to be aside from being an idol? Which area does she want to specialize in? From the current look of things, she will probably be an all-rounded artiste but that is not enough in the long run, i.e. years after leaving AKB48. I don't want her to be 'just another' entertainer when she gets older.
Kashiwagi Yuki in both Team B and Team N
Congrats to Yukirin on holding onto her Team B streak! She’s truly THE Team B member :lol:
Not much change to her position apart from the fact that she is now in NMB48 too. That’s a relief because my hope for her pre-shuffle was that she remains in Japan (preferably in AKB48) so that her solo career doesn’t get disrupted. This Team N concurrent position will surely give her more exposure although I am also afraid that her already packed schedule will get crazier. No matter how much I want my idols’ popularity to increase, their health is still something I am constantly concerned about. Anyway, let’s hope she will bring something new to NMB48 while honing her dance skills there!
Other random thoughts
- Poor Sae. It seems like the management badly wants her back in Japan. They are making it very hard for her to realise her goal with SNH48. Will it finally be time she gets so fed up that she quits the 48G?
- Captain Takahashi is back!! :w00t: I’m not saying Yui was bad as Team A’s captain but I just love Captain Takamina a lot more. She was really good at rallying the team together.
- Jurina stays in the same position so that the management can continue to push her in both groups.
- Sayanee gains concurrent position in Team K and reunites with Yui! With her addition, Team K looks pretty strong.
- I’m kind of excited about Oya being the Team B vice-captain. I think she’d do a good job bringing the team together.
- Team B now has the top 2 AKB48 members (based on last year’s election results, minus Yuko)!
And last but not least...

BUT so far she sounds excited about this though (a bit confused at first of course). The situation from last time, when she was suddenly put back to Team K, is different now. She got her working visa for SNH48, performed with the girls at the theater and then the concert. I bet she got to do much enough to accept this new position in SKE. This sounded very weird for me at first (I know nothing about SKE and never thought I'd need to lol), but now I've calmed down and really looking forward to see her with other Team S members. So I wouldn't say "poor Sae". This is a new challenge for her and I think challenge is what she wanted.
The only thing that worries me is that IF she was thinking of graduation (since she has clearly said that her dream is to become an actress), now it seems a bit more difficult.. I mean, I'd think she wants to graduate in AKB theater after all and I'd rather see that too. So, more than the management wanting her to stay in Japan, it looks like they want her to stay in the 48G longer.
Anyway, I wish her good luck and keep supporting her! :heart:

Jo Eriko refuses promotion to Team M, stays as NMB Kenkyuusei
I am disappoint.
Jo quit a while back to focus on "studies" but at the same time she also said "we might see her again when she's more grown up."
Remember that Jo was pretty damn popular and had a lot of Acchan-esque charm. She could've been huge.
In other words, she couldn't handle the pressure so she quit. Understandable, since she was like 13 years old at the time. Can't blame her.
However! This is a different situation.
Jo got a lot of hate for being promoted so early after her return. You could argue that's fair since the other girls and KKS have been working their ass of the past year. On the other hand, Jo was a proper member when she quit so one could assume she has the abilities it takes to be a proper member already. If she has the level, why would it be bad to promote her back already? Similar case for Suzuki Shihori, really, except Jo is/was more popular.
The second issue is her potential rivalry with Fuuko, who in essence took over the next gen ace role from Jo. Now that's back, in the same team no less, how is that gonna play out? This new dynamic caused by the new group line-up could have worked greatly to NMB48's advantage as well. It never hurts to have more aces in one team/group.
Long story short, Jo has to deal with bitching from fans about her quick promotion, as well as new rivalries. To me it looks like she just quit again because she doesn't want to or cannot deal with it.
If you truly aspire to be a great idol, which Jo has/had every potential too, you can't walk away from opportunities like this. Jurina would never refuse promotion or a kennin position. Anything to get your name out there and to get the best spots on stage. (Jurina may be too extreme, but as an example she works very well). The age argument isn't valid anymore either since she knew exactly what she was getting into. I guess Jo just wants to be a big fish in a small pond.
So yeah, that's the last we'll ever hear from Jo. Congrats Fuuchan.

Last time, one of the big moments for me was when Sayaka and Milky
welcomed a very scared Miori (Fresh Lemon) when it was
announced that she would serve in both AKB48 & NMB48.

Kana, Mayumi, and Miho all still shine when they are
given a chance - Kana has done some really good cooking spots, and
both Mayumi and Miho have been brilliant in very recent comedy skits....
As for that picture, it just caught them all looking a bit down...
