New fics guys. wMayuyu!
How do you like the sound of that ! :cathappy:
Oh, sorry for not updating my fic...
I was busy for these 2 last months.
2 big events ~
1. My school had a Japanese Bunkasai, which of course I was a committee . There were some people cosplaying as Nezumi and Otabe from Majisuka Gakuen ~ <3
2. Middle Semester Test... f*ck
and there were many that had their birthday this month!
Jurina, Mayuyu, Sakuratan, Paruru and myself.
anyway the wMayuyu I mean here is... well wMayuyu's.
One Mayu as the normal twintail beautiful-awestrucking-goddess with cuteness overload, and the other one is as a Boy. thought his name is Yuuta.

great, right? ok here's the prologue.

Since when … did I start to wait for Tuesday, just to watch her pass by my class?
Since when did I kept on searching for her in my break times?
Since when did I keep asking question to my friends about her?
Since when did she became the one showing up in my dreams?
Since when did her name kept on ringing in my head?
Since when did I became so happy to be able to see her? Even if it’s only her back…
Since when … Did I fall in love with her?

“Mayuuuu!!”
Hearing someone calling my name and loud footsteps running towards me, I turned around and found my sister, Yuko, dashing towards me with opened arms.
“… Eh?”
Brak!!
Surprised by the sudden hug, I failed on balancing my foot together and fell down on the hard floor.
“Ouch… this is not a rugby game, Yuko!” I rubbed my aching head.
“Owiee… Sorry Mayu” She showed me a cheeky smile. “Ne Mayu, I’m having a date this weekend!!” She suddenly shouted out with a happy rainbow smile on her face.
“Uwa… I really don’t understand why KojiHaru-senpai accepted you as her lover”
“Oh, come one Mayu! This sister of yours isn’t that bad! I’m just a little bit of a pervert. That’s all” She stood up and pulled me up with her.
“You should go and have a boy. What about Yuuta-kun? He’s a funny guy~” Yuko laughed and smacked my back.
“Uurgh… Yuu-kun is only my friend” I brushed of my skirt from dust and start to focus on setting my bangs back. I don’t want them to be messy.
“Stop with the bangs, Mayu! Just go and flirt someone!” Yuko suddenly rustled my hair, making it way messier.
“Urgh! Yuko!!”
With a speed of light, she had already dashed away before I could grab her.
“Damn it…”
I took my bag and started to walk towards the gate.
… It’s not like I don’t want to have a lover…
I mean, it’s just that people fall in love right?
And… falling… isn’t something we do on purpose.
I can’t just purposely fall in love with someone!
And Yuu-kun…
I can’t imagine him as my boyfriend!
He’s just a friend. A twin friend.
“Mayu ~” well, speak of the devil.
Yuu-kun who was at the gate, walked towards me.
“Ne, let’s watch anime together!” He smiled.
“Sounds awesome! Like usual time, right?” I was pumped up when he said anime.
“Sure! Let me bring the drinks”
“Then I’ll prepare the snacks”
We randomly smiled at each other, like a little kid at the amusement park.
Suddenly, there was a sound of music from nowhere.
“Ah, sorry it’s my phone” Yuu-kun took his cell from his pocket. “I have to go home now Mayu, I’ll be there at 5” with his hand waving at me, saying goodbye with a body language, he walked away with a smile.
I took a deep breath before shouting, “Ok, don’t forget my favorite snack!!” I waved back at him.
“Got it!” he shouted back without turning around.
Yuu-kun and I had just been friends for less than a semester. Since we look alike, others thought us as twins, so we would sometime be together for some reason. Not just our looks that are similar. Our names are also similar. Our character ‘yu’ has the same meaning. At first it was awkward, but it turns out we have the same hobby. So it was easy to get along with him.
A smile grew on my face.
“Well then, it’s time to go home and wait for Yuu-kun~” I happily walked home while humming a random song.

“Yuu-kun?” I opened the door.
There, Yuuta was standing… behind my sister.
“And Yuko…”
“Uwa what’s with the different tone there?? I’m your sister you know!” Yuko puffed her cheeks. She randomly tossed her shoe and went in, headed towards the kitchen.
“Aah! Why do you always leave your shoe lying down untidy like that?!” I took her shoe and arranged them properly.
“Jeez, Yuko … always making me do the jobs…” I grumbled.
Suddenly, I heard a small chuckle. As usual, Yuu-kun was laughing at me.
“Stop laughing!”
“Sure~ Anyway, excuse me~” He took his shoe off and place them neatly. “You shouldn’t fight with your sister that much, Mayu” he added.
“Eeh?! You saw it yourself didn’t you? It was totally her fault?!” I was surprised by his sudden lecture.
Yuu-kun only answered with a small smile.
“Here’s the snack’s” He handed me a bag filled with snacks, sweet and many other food to enjoy while watching an anime.
“Arigatou~ wait at the living room, ok? I’ll prepare the drink and snack’s you bought” I walked towards the kitchen.
“Oh, Yuu-kun, let’s continue watching Macross Frontier”
“Sure~” Already familiar with my house, he walked to the living room by himself.
“Ah, Mayu~” Yuko was playing with her cell in front of the fridge. “Hey look at this girl, isn’t she kawaii?” Yuko showed me a photo of a girl reading a book at the school’s garden.
“… Yuko, were you secretly taking photo’s again?” I looked at my sister with an unamused expression.
“It’s her fault for being attractive!”
“What about KojiHaru-senpai?”
“Aah, of course NyanNyan is the best for me!” Yuko suddenly hugged herself. “NyanNyan has a great big oppai’s. Aah, NyanNyaaan~~” She suddenly went crazy and kept on smooching the air.
“Urgh, whatever” Ignoring her, I put the snack into some containers and prepared a glass for two.
“But Mayu I have a different reason for showing you that photo!” Yuko suddenly grabbed my shoulder and showed me the photo again. “Honestly, do you possibly know this girl?” she said in a serious tone.
“Eeh… no?” I took another quick glance at the picture, I think I’ve seen her before, but I don’t know her. Well, she is wearing the same uniform as mine, so it’s normal if I’ve seen here once or twice, right?
A small, sad smile suddenly appeared on Yuko’s face. But it was quickly whipped whit her usual grin.
“This girl, she’s a friend of NyanNyan and she kind of asked me for some advice, which I promised to help~” Yuko scratched her hair.
“G-gomen ne, Mayu. This girl actually likes Yuuta. You’re not interested in him right? Can you please help her?” Yuko clapped her hands together and did a slight bow.
“Wha?? Why should I? It’s such a pain!!” I immediately rejected her S.O.S call.
“Come on! I’ve promised her and she had been such a big help for me to catch NyanNyan!! I need to return that favor!”
“Then it’s your problem right? I don’t want to suddenly ask Yuuta some weird questions!”
“Oh Mayu, please!” she kept on begging.
“I don’t even know her, how could I help her?!”
“You-!! Akh! Just give me some info about Yuuta, and I’ll tell it to her”
“No way!”
Seeing that there were no other choices, Yuko suddenly grinned bitterly and pointed at the fridge.
“Your favorite short cake!!” She yelled out loud enough to make a stray cat who was sleeping at the window wake up.
“Tsk, so loud” I clicked my tongue. “… Short cake” I mumbled as I stared at the fridge.
It’s true that I have a favorite short cake that I like, but it’s not like I want it that much…
I walked to the fridge and opened it to find a triangle cut of cake placed neatly on top of a plate. A beautiful hot and sexy strawberry was standing gracefully on top the whipped cream on the strawberry cake… Hmm, tempting…
Taking another small glance at the photo, I thought for a better price and finally got an answer.
“A cut of cake for each 5 information's” I grinned as I saw Yuko’s jaw opening.
“Monster!!” She yelled at me angrily and started to give me light punches.
“Hey, since I’m the closest person to Yuuta, that’s not a bad deal you know!” I reasoned myself.
“…Tsk! Fine!” Yuko took her phone and started to operate it. Suddenly, there was a small ‘beep’ sound.
Yuko flipped her phone and aim the camera towards herself.
“Ehem! This video is a proof that my own sister, Mayu, has agreed for a deal to help me fulfill a promise to my friend!” She turned the phone back again and started to film me. “Is it a deal, Mayu?” She asked.
“A cake for each 5 information is the deal” I answered simply with a poker face in front of the camera.
“Deal!” Yuko stretched her arm and made me shake hands with her.

After an episode of the Anime has ended, I decided to ask Yuu-kun.
“Ne, Yuu-kun”
“Yes?”
“Do you possibly know about a girl with the characteristic of … Eeh … Black wavy hair until her shoulders? And her eyes is a little bit… I don’t know, weird?” I stated everything I remembered about the photo.
“Are you stupid? There’s many girls like that. Even you’re like that!” Yuu-kun pressed a finger on my forehead.
“Wha- Hey my hair isn’t wavy!”
“Then what’s this??” Yuu-kun took some flocks of hair on my shoulder and showed it to me. “Is this, not wavy?”
“That’s curly!”
“Ugh, what’s the different??”
“You idiot…”
Being used to insult each other, Yuu-kun just puffed his cheeks.
“Uuh… wait let me remember something else… uhmn… ehhh…. she’s attractive?” Man that was the only thing I remembered again.
“Crap, Mayu. That’s not a help at all”
“Uuh, shut up and tell me who comes in your mind!”
“Hmn… attractive huh…” Yuu-kun placed his right hand on his chin, thinking serious to search for a girl like that.
“Then maybe…” Suddenly, his face turned bright red. “N-no, Never mind!” He quickly looked away.
“Ew! That was so not like you!” I slapped his back.
“Tsk, Fine!” He looked back at me and started to think again.
“Beautiful… that means school’s idol. But we have many princess there… but with that characteristic… I really think it’s… but you said…then there’s only her… so it must be…” Yuu-kun mumbled some things that I wasn’t able to catch on.
After waiting for a while, he finally said a name:
“Kashiwagi Yuki?”
Yuu-kun opened his smartphone. He went to the gallery file and showed me a photo of a girl. It was the same girl as the one Yuko showed me!
“Ah, that’s her!”
I studied the girl in the photo. Well, she sure is beautiful…
… Kashiwagi Yuki, huh. Hmn… For a beauty like her to have feelings for the weird and annoying Yuu-kun… interesting enough.
…
Wait.
“Yuu-kun, why do you have a photo of her?” I glared at him. “Don’t tell me your taking photo’s secretly?”
“N-no! My friend Bluetooth it to me!” He looked away, trying to avoid my glare.
“Humph! I just hope you don’t do anything weird with it!” I puffed my cheek and slapped his shoulder.
“Sheez Mayu, I won’t!” He tried to stop my hands, but I persist and kept on slapping him, which trigged to make him trying to slap my shoulders as well.
Our watching an anime moment became a fighting moment. We decided to stop after being tired from all the childish fight we did. I took a glass and drank all of it in one gulp.
“Do you have any business with Kashiwagi-senpai?” Yuuta suddenly asked.
“None of your business!” I looked away from him.
“A little bit of a coincidence, for you to ask about your fan”
“F-fan?” I imagined an electric fan swirling it’s blade to make a breeze-full air.
“I know that you’re thinking of something else, idiot” after sighing, he crossed his arm and explained. “Fan as in a human one! The one that would go, ‘kyaa I want your autograph’!”
“…EH?”
F-fan of mine?
Kashiwagi Yuki-senpai?
“Wait, why would I have a fan??” I closed my eyes, imagining myself having a fan club where people would secretly take photos of me and scream about it...
“There’s no way someone like me has a fan!” I shook my head to lose the stupid imagination I had.
“You’re really dense, huh” a big sigh escaped from Yuu-kun again. “Don’t you know that there’s many fan club on our school? I also have a fan club, Mayu. Even WE have a fan club!”
“W-we??”
“Yes. Me and You. Heck, some ship us together!”
“What?? Ridiculous! We’re just friends!”
“Seems like our condition is Anime-like…” he crossed his arms and sighed again.
Remembering all the sighs he made, I decide to tell him a fact I had read at the internet. “…They say a piece of happiness will go away within each sighs you make”
“Even though I save them, you’ll take all my happiness away, Mayu” he asked for a punch.
******************Next Day*****************
The cafeteria was full of students, but that doesn’t mean I have to struggle my way and order tickets for food.
“Mayu!” Yuu-kun waved his arms. “Here’s your ticket. A pasta for today” he handed me a small ticket.
“Un! Thank you~!” I gladly accept the ticket and changed the money.
Ah, Yuu-kun is just like a servant to me…
“Did you find any empty seats?” Yuu-kun asked while waiting for the cafeteria lady to give us our lunch.
“Yep, though it’s with the popular Matsui Jurina from the neighbor class”
“Uwa… that’ll be crowded. Why the heck did you get a seat with her?” Yuu-kun’s expression was like: ‘such-a-pain-in-the-ass’
“No empty seats, and Jurina suddenly offered me one, so I asked for two” I answered after thanking the cafeteria lady.
“How the heck is someone as cold as you friends with her? Tsk, I just hope you don’t get played with”
“She’s my friend, Yuu-kun. She knows that messing with me would end deadly… And we’re both girls. Oh and hey, I’m NOT into love!”
“…You’ll regret saying that when you fall in love, you know?” Yuu-kun gave me a smirk.
“That’s why I won’t! At least… until I’m a college student?”
“Sure, a double cheese burger with extra beef for a whole month if you lose, ok?”
“Tsk, suddenly making a bet like that…”
“Of course I would~” He answered with a grin and walked happily towards one of the most crowded table.
“Ah, Mayu-chan you’re here!” Jurina made a cat-like smile. “Excuse me ladies, but I’ve promised to accompany these two for lunch” Jurina smiled to the girls surrounding her.
Like a person in love being told by their crush, they waved goodbye and walked away.
…Wait, they are a person in love. And Jurina is their crush.
Anyway, I took a seat and started to eat my lunch.
As I said before, Jurina is my friend, so we chatted like normal. Just the three of us, when suddenly…
“Mayu-san” Matsui Rena, an upperclassman I know appeared and called me. “Sorry, but is there a two other seats?” I saw her tray of food still un-touched.
I looked at Jurina and Yuu-kun.
Yuu-kun checked underneath the table and gave me a thumbs up, while Jurina was… staring at Rena?
“Oi, Jurina??” I waved my hand in front of her face.
“E-eh? Aah, of course there is!” Jurina stood up and took 2 seats from underneath the table.
She quickly arranged them, making two chairs in front of Jurina and me, while Yuu-kun took his chair and moved on my left.
“Arigatou~” Rena smiled and took a sit.
“Ne, Mayu, do you know this senpai??” Jurina whispered at me while secretly pointing at Rena sat in front of her.
“Huh? I don’t really know about her, but she’s my sister’s friend, Matsui Rena” I took spoonful of pasta after answering.
This time, Yuu-kun whispered at me. “Oi, look at that”
I lift my head to find out that Kashiwagi Yuki was the one sitting in front of me!!
Swallowing my food with a bowl of surprise, a pinch of guilty feeling, and a spoon of unknown feeling. The receipt to make me choke on my own food was a great success. (Read: I chocked)
“?!” I could feel something uneasy on my throat, making me unable to breathe properly.
“Whoa, careful!” Yuu-kun slapped my back.
“You’re not a help you idiot!!” On my right, Jurina slapped Yuu-kun’s hand and gently caressed my back.
“H-here, take a drink” Kashiwagi Yuki suddenly offered me her drink.
Since everyone’s drink were soda, milk and such others, I couldn’t see other option because Kashiwagi Yuki’s drink was a pure, glass of water.
I took the glass and gulped the water down until the pain in my throat was gone. After a while, my breath was steady again.
Damn, that was embarrassing.
“T-thank you” I lift my head and made an awkward smile towards the senior in front of me.
Like how anybody else would, she answered with “You’re welcome” completed with a smile.
But… that’s when I realized that my heart, was beating faster than normal.
That smile of hers…
It’s really princess-like.
…She really is beautiful.

Chapter 2. Since When, Did I Keep on Searching for Her?

A month had passed.
I did my job well, and I’ve already received 2 slice of cakes from Yuko.
But something kept on bothering me.
Kashiwagi Yuki…
That senpai… I wonder why I would find myself searching for her?
My job is to tell Yuko about Yuu-kun, but why am I not focused on that easy task?
For some unknown reasons, my eyes are always searching for Kashiwagi-senpai.
Each time I go out from my class, I would always look out to the window where I could see her class.
Sometimes, I could see her talking with her friends, but she’s usually inside her classroom. And that means I can’t see her.
Well, it’s not that I have a business with her… It’s just… I want to look at her.
I don’t really know what her voice sounds like, I don’t know about her personality, I don’t know anything about her.
I’m just… interested in her looks, I guess?
But of course, I want to know more about her.
I kept on asking about her to Jurina, Aika, Paruru or anybody that’s my friend.
But their answers were almost the same.
“She’s one of our school’s 5 princess” is what they would say.
I’m starting to wonder who the heck these 5 princess are…
“Uuh, this is stupid” I scratch my hair and sighed. “I haven’t seen her for 5 days…” I said to myself.
Suddenly, someone tapped my shoulder. I turned and found Jurina with her mischievous smile.
“Ne, Mayu-chan. Let’s skip together? I’ll show you something you’ve been yearning for!”
Interested by her last sentence, I agreed and decided to not attend the class to follow her.
“You better buy me lunch if it’s not interesting”
“Sure. I’m positive that you would like it~” Jurina grabbed my hand and dragged me to the rooftop.
Creak~
The door made a weird sound as it was gently opened by Jurina.
I took a look to the left and right, but there was nothing that really took my interest.
“…um, what’s so interesting here?”
“Not here, Mayu. There!” Jurina dragged me to the edge of the building which was boarded with the metal gate thing.
“What? About how big the school is? That’s stupid”
Indeed, the view was awesome. But it wasn’t enough for me.
“Take a closer look” Jurina pointed towards a certain class.
I followed the direction of her finger, when I finally realized…
“Uwah, SUGOII!! I can see her clearly from here!!”
My heart was beating faster. Seeing her has really made me happier!
“I know, right~? I can also see Rena-chan from here!” Jurina smiled and pointed a little bit to the right where Rena was sitting.
That’s right, what we’re looking is at Rena’s class… and also, Kashiwagi Yuki’s class.
“Oh, they’re classmates huh…”
Jurina kept on staring at Rena while I stared at Yuki.
…
My smile turned into a frown.
Since when was I grinning?
Not just that.
But why am I grinning?
Why am I this happy…?
I turned my view to Jurina and found her looking at Rena with a smile not different as mine before.
Why? Why are we happy by looking at someone who barely knows about us?
I looked at Yuki again.
She was writing on her notebook… and she looks… very beautiful.
My heart was beating faster and faster.
But it was also aching for an unknown reason.
I pressed my hand in front of my aching chest.
“Jurina”
“Yeah?” she didn’t look away from Rena.
I took a breath and asked something, which might’ve been an answer to my unknown feelings as well.
“… What are your feelings for Rena?”
“…” Jurina looked at me for a while, then chuckled.
She looked back towards Rena and smiled.
“I love her, Mayu…” her smile was a smile that I’ve never seen from Jurina. It was soft, loving, yet full of sadness.
She suddenly straighten her right arm, as if she was trying to reach Rena.
“My love is a love that’s out of my reach”

When I come into situations like this, I would’ve usually shut up and not ask anything… but screw that, its Jurina here.
“Shut up, player. You have no rights to say that” I harshly gave her the cold shoulder.
Jurina was surprised, but she answered with another small chuckle.
“You’re right… I’m a player”
Silence came in.
Huh? There’s something wrong here, isn’t there?
Why is she acting so innocent??
Did she forgot about all those girls she dated?
This girl beside me isn’t the Jurina I know.

Man, she should’ve answered with a laugh or something.
That answer she gave me is making me feel guilty!
Ok, damn, I do feel guilty.
“Fuck, thanks for giving me a bowl of guilt, Jurina”
Jurina made a dry chuckle again. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to”

Another silence grew. But it wasn’t as awkward as the first one. It was more… normal I guess?
“Say, are you not going to ask anything?” Jurina kept her head looking forward, but her eyeballs were narrowing. Making a peek towards me.
I needed a couple of second to think about my answer. A choice of lying, or telling the truth.
An answer that would suit my everyday attitude towards Jurina… would be the truth, right?
“I don’t give a damn about other people’s problem” I said without looking at her.
That went out a little too harsh, didn’t it?
“B-but… at least, I’ll treat you. To maybe, make you feel better” My cheeks were bright pink as I said that.
Of course, Jurina was surprised again. But her expression quickly turned into a softer one.
“That answer really suits you!” Jurina smiled and stretched her arms to the air. She let her body fall back to the hard ground and laid on top of it. Her eyes were looking straight to the vast sky.
“The sky is so beautiful…” She suddenly blabbered a random shit.
“Hey, you’re the first person who didn’t ask about it. So, why don’t you be the first person to know about it?” Jurina who was still lying on the floor turned her view to me. She looked at me with a soft, yet serious look.
“… Sure”
And so, Jurina told me her story… which I honestly found annoying.
Jurina, isn’t actually a player. She’s just bad at refusing someone. And she can’t change that bad habit of her. By an unkown, complicated story that I don’t want to hear about, Jurina had accidently learnt the art of flattery. Completed with her beautiful yet handsome looks, and her will to not reject anyone, Jurina had become a player.
“You’re annoying, you know that?” I gave a light slap on her face.
“Uuh… I guess I am” she didn’t try to remove my hand which was still covering her eyes.
“About a week ago, when I was walking at Shibuya. A lot of young woman were asking me for company. I was confused. I had a promise with my friend, but I was about to be dragged by a random girl” Jurina suddenly wrapped my hand with hers and gently gave it more pressure, making me covering her eyes.
“Suddenly, Rena came and saved me. With a clear voice, she told those women’s that they were bothering me” Jurina grinned as she was talking about her past.
“That time, Rena looked really cool!” she continued.
With my hand covering half of her face, I couldn’t really see her expression. But I have a feeling that she’s actually smiling right now.
“Why don’t you ask her out?”
“…I’d love to, but I told you I’m bad at rejecting people. I don’t want Rena to be heartbroken”
Hearing her answer, I flicked in anger and gripped Jurina’s head with more pressure. “Well aren’t you over confidence”
“Ouch, ouch, ouch!!! Wait, Mayu, stop it idiot!” she quickly changed her position from lying, to sitting as she tried to release my death grip.
Seeing her struggling so much, I decided to let go.
“Uwaaa… my head” She mumbled as she massage her head.
Damn, I’m such a sadist.
“…How do you know that Rena will be the one who’s going to get her a heartbreak?” I asked.
“Of course by some researches!” She answered with confidents fueling her voice.
“…You’re an idiot. An annoying, idiotic child” I gave her harsh comments.
“Uwah, are you made out from mean, cold, and evil??”
“Hah! With your attitude like that, I hope that you’ll be the one with a broken heart!”
“Mean! You’re super mean and super cold! Damn Cyborg!!”
“… Pssht, that’s why you’re an idiot!” I turned away.
“…If your love is out of your reach, I’ll make you a stair until you can reach it…” I said in a whispering voice, but loud enough for Jurina to hear it.
I could feel blood rushing to my cheek’s because of my rare attitude of helping someone.
I usually wouldn’t offer help to others, but since Jurina here is my friend …
“… M-Mayu-chan…” her eyes glimmered in hope.
“Ehem!” After the blush from my face had faded away, I looked back at Jurina. “Promise me, Jurina. You’ll do your best to reject people. And when you master it, you’ll ask Rena out”
“Un, it’s a promise, Mayu!!” she smiled full of confidence.
I smiled back. It’s better seeing Jurina smiling like this.
“Great!! Don’t forget free lunch until a month, ok?” I joked, recovering my usual cold image.
“Evil!!”

In the end, I couldn’t find out the reason I kept on looking at Yuki.
I thought my feelings toward Yuki was the same as Jurina’s feeling towards Rena, but it turned out that Jurina loves Rena. There’s no way I’m in love with Kashiwagi-senpai, right? We’re both girls…
And I don’t intend to date anybody.
“Mayu your so meaaann” Yuu-kun suddenly wailed. “You left me alone at the class. It was so boring you know? Next time, bring me if you’re going to skip”
“Meh” I answered coldly.
“Sheez, so cold Mayu… Oh well, I ate half of your snack at class~”
“!?”
I ran to my desk -which was beside Yuu-kun’s desk- and opened my bag. There was a half-eaten pocky.
“You!!” I rifled a hundred slap at Yuu-kun.

“Mayu, let’s watch anime again” Yuu-kun wrapped his arm around my neck. “I’ll buy you some pocky?” He gave me a wink.
“I won’t be lured by pocky, you idiot” I slapped him for the nth time. “Anyway, I have a promise with Jurina” I continued.
“Eeeh… buuhh” he puffed his cheeks.
From a distance, I can see Jurina walking with some girls.
“Ne, ne, Jurina let’s go to a karaoke?” a girl tugged her uniform.
“Kya~ that sounds great! What do you think, Jurina?”
“Eeh… I guess-”
“Matsui Jurina!!” I walked towards her. Like a mother scolding her children, I pulled her ear. Tiptoeing a little, I yelled right at her ear. “Don’t tell me you forgot our promise!!”
“Uwa, it hurts, ouch, ouch, ouccchhhh” Again, Jurina received my deadly attacks.
“Owww… sorry Mayu-chan, I’ll go with you” Jurina turned her back, then apologize. “S-sorry girls, I can’t… I mean, I have a promise with my dear friend here. I’m really sorry!”
With a frown, the girls wave goodbye. They walked away without a single complain.
“What? You had trouble rejecting them? They didn’t even complain!”
Jurina scratched her cheek. “It’s because you’re the one approaching me, Mayu”
“Huh? What’s with me?” I was confused by her statement.
“Cyborg Princess, Watanabe Mayu…”
“The heck? I mean, seriously? Cyborg Princess? That’s… so like me” I could only look down and accept my fate, being called as a Cyborg Princess.
But, wait, Princess?
“What do you mean by Princess?” I held on to Jurina’s shoulder and asked again. “What the heck do you mean by Princess?”
“Jeez Mayu, you’re as dense as hell. Can’t you notice that you’re on of the 5 princess of our school?” Jurina was staring at me like those ‘are-you-fucking-kidding-me’ memes.
“P-princess… me?” I questioned myself. Man, how the heck could an otaku like me be a freaking princess?!
“Your looks are great, Mayu. It’s just your personality that’s like shit”
“Like yours aren’t!”
“…well, yeah…”
“…pfft”
“Ahahahha~”
We started to laugh at each other. “It seems like they judge us by our looks huh” Jurina said.
“…Wait you’re a Princess?” I asked.
“… Uh, yeah… No… wait, what? Do you think a freaking Kissing Monster belongs to the Princess side?” She answered with a question.
“Pfft... Kissing- pfttt. MONSTER!! Bwahaha!!” I laughed, and laughed, and heck I surely laughed my ass out there.
“Uwah, you meanie!” Jurina shed a fake tear due her stupid nickname.
Talking about Princess and Names, a question grew on my mind. “Hey, tell me all the Princess”
Hearing my question, Jurina answered with a happy smile. “Kojima Haruna is the Airhead Princess. And your Yuki is called, ‘Modern Yamato Nadeshiko’ … she’s kind of like a couple with Rena-chan here, since Rena-chan is only called ‘Yamato Nadeshiko’”
“…err, ok… There’s me. So what about the fifth?” I asked for the last one.
“Atsuko Maeda… isn’t really a Princess. She’s actually called the Queen”
“Holy, I never knew our school was this weird…?”
“Hah! It’s because you don’t give a damn care about others! Talking about Princess, our school also have Prince’s you know? I’m one of them!”
“… You are??! Well that’s a shock!”
“Shut up! Yuuta as well. He’s called Bocchan, since he suits the role of a younger brother… speaking of Yuuta, is he going with us as well?” Jurina looked at Yuuta who was waiting for me at a fair distance.
“Oh right, let me ask him first, Kissing-Monster-Prince-kun” I made some steps toward Yuu-kun.
“Kissing Monster Prince?!” Jurina could only stare at me with a shocked face.
I did some light hop while heading towards Yuu-kun.
So Yuu-kun is a Prince huh…
I guess ‘Young Master’ does suit him.
As I was getting near, I waved my arm. “Hey Yuu-kun, are you going with-”

“O-Oi, Cyborg, What’s wrong?” Jurina who was suddenly beside me shoved my shoulder. It didn’t affect me because I was still paralyzed… Paralyzed by none other than the beautiful goddess walking out from the shoe locker towards the gate.
That’s right, Kashiwagi Yuki-senpai is walking out from the building, and my eyes are glued on to her.
Looking at her was such a blessing for me!
I don’t know why…
I just can’t stop.
“Oi Mayu, your face is red” Without a single sight of hesitation, Yuu-kun pulled my arm and put his forehead on mine.
“!?”
“Uwa, are you sick? I think you have a fever you know?”
Having my vision being blocked my Yuu-kun’s sudden act, I was able to stop myself staring at her. But now, she’s the one looking at me. Well, not only her, but almost everyone was looking at us.
By all of the sudden stares, I felt my face become redder.

As if I was a master that was about to be attacked by a stranger. My pet dog , Jurina, kept me away from Yuu-kun. She kept on barking at him, looking him as an enemy.
“What was that for??” Yuu-kun didn’t understand at all.
“For suddenly being so touchy with her!” Jurina barked.
“Huh? I was just checking her temperature, idiot!”
“The one who calls others idiot are the real idiot!! Idiot!!!”
“You just called me an idiot!! You’re the idiot!”
“Who’re you calling idiot?! You’re the one who first called me Idiot!!”
And so, the two kept on idiotically fight while I was… still being stared by the other students. Of course, that includes Kashiwagi Yuki-senpai.
“Hey, did you see that??”
“I thought they were twins??”
“They look great together!”
“Aren’t they siblings?”
“They’re so sweet!!”
“Kyaa, Kissing Monster and Obocchan are fighting over the Cyborg Princess!”
“I told you they were dating!”
Whispers was heard from every direction.

I lift my head and found Kashiwagi-senpai staring at me in disbelieve.
Her eyes, widen in surprise and also… pain.
That’s right. Kashiwagi-senpai likes Yuu-kun…
That’s why she’s staring at me like this…

I could see her clasping her hand into a fist.
She then looked down. It’s like she’s trying to hide all her feelings right now…
Her right hand moved in front of her chest…
She kept on looking to the ground.
But then, I realized…
Her shoulders were shivering.
A small, drop of tear fell from her cheek.
She’s crying.
My heart stings in pain as I saw tears flowing from her eyes.
I want to reach her. I want to tell her that Yuu-kun doesn’t have any special relationship with me.
Yet… my throat feels so dry.
I can’t move.
“Yuki!!” Matsui Rena was running towards her.
In seconds, Kashiwagi-senpai’s hand was held by Rena’s. She forcefully dragged her out towards the school gate.
Before vanishing from my sight, Matsui Rena who was still holding Kashiwagi-senpai’s hand, turned her head and looked at me with a furious glare.
She continued to walk away with stomps full of rage and anger.

The reason she’s crying…
It’s all my fault, huh…
It’s because I’m too close with Yuu-kun…

My heart is aching.

I can’t stand this anymore.
“I’m going home” I left the two and run away.
Passing by all the stares, I felt a tear falling down to my cheek.

From Yuki's perspective, Mayu was staring at Yuuta, making it look like Mayu is blushing because of Yuuta (which would mean she has a crush on him)... that on its own further cements the idea WMayuyu were dating/had feelings for each other...

Chapter 3. Since When, Did I Realized My Feelings?

A day and half had passed since that. Thought it was already noon and I haven’t ate at all, I refused to move. For the whole day I kept on aimlessly lying on my bed with a lump of pain and regret inside me. That’s right, I didn’t go to school. Thankfully at times like this, Yuko would be considerate enough to understand my feelings. She didn’t asked anything and let me skip school for the day. Even thought my stomach was grumbling loudly, I was stubborn enough to not move from my bed.
“Oii~” Yuko suddenly went in to my room without any permission.
Wait, she’s already home?
So it’s already noon, huh. Time flies so fast…
“Here, a short cake for you” She put a cake box on top of my head.
Laying on the bed, I answered in a toneless voice. “Un”
“…No ‘thank you’ or anything?” Yuko asked for my manners.
But again, I answered with the same low tone “Un”
“… If you don’t want it, I’ll eat it” Yuko was pissed by my repeating answer.
I’m just so tired. I could still feel a faint sting on my heart, and my head hurts. I’m so dizzy from all the tears I bawled out… I feel miserable. So how could you expect me to answer like usually?
“Un” I said again.
“Tsk” Yuko clicked her tongue.
Angrily, she grabbed the box and snatched it back. She furiously opened it and ate the cake. Normally, I would be angry if someone gave me something and took it back, but for this time, I don’t care at all.
As Yuko was chomping on the cake with anger, I can’t help but think about Kashiwagi-senpai. I know, I’ve been think about her for hours, but she’s still the one on my mind. I can’t make her leave my mind at all. The scenes from yesterday kept on rewinding.
Yuu-kun was just checking my temperature because he worries for me. He’s a nice friend, and I don’t blame him at all. I’m just… jealous?
Why does Kashiwagi-senpai like him? What’s so different about him and me? We’re both otaku’s, we have a similar taste in foods and drink and our looks are alike. Is it because he’s slightly taller than me? … Or maybe, it’s because he’s a boy.
Why?
Why am I so desperate like this? I don’t know about Kashiwagi-senpai at all, yet I keep on thinking about her… It’s bothering me so much.
“It was delicious” Yuko’s voice broke my thoughts.
I was thinking of not answering, but that would be considered rude, so I forced myself to answer again.
“Un”
“Haa—aahh!” Yuko suddenly sighed in a big disappointment.
She stared at me in an annoyed face. I narrowed my view and saw opening her mouth, about to make some lectures for me, when suddenly…
Kruyuuuukkkk~~
… My stomach grumbled out loud.
… Awkward…
Embarrassed, I shifted my body and head towards the wall.
“… You haven’t ate at all?” Yuko asked.
Since it became awkward and embarrassing because of my own stomach, I decided to answer with something more proper.
“…shut up” I grumbled.
Yuko chuckled at my answer. She sat down beside me and started to tease me.
“Too bad I ate the cake~” she poked my cheek with a grin.
“Go away, Anna Yuko…” I used my arm to try making her stop, but she kept on bugging me.
“Hey, Mayu. Do you know that you’re in love?” she suddenly said.
Hearing that, I quickly waked up and turned my body towards her.
“What do you mean?!”
“Well, girls blabbering around the hall and, yeah, you get the point right? There’s even a photo of it in the school’s unofficial web” Yuko opened her phone and showed me a photo.
My face glows red as I saw the picture that had gone public. Because of the photographer shot the photo from a bad perspective, it makes it looks like I’m being kissed by Yuu-kun!!
“I don’t have any feeling for Yuu-kun at all!!” I yelled out my honest feelings as I remember Yuko saying that I’m in love.
“I know” she answered right after I finished my sentence.
With a calm and soft stare, she patted my head with a smile. “I heard from Rena… Yuki was crying because of this”
“…” I didn’t want to admit it, but it was the truth.
Isn’t it ironic? I decided to help Kashiwagi-senpai to know information’s about Yuu-kun for some cakes. I knew that it was all to help her get close with him, but it turns out that I’m the one who’s hurting her.
Yuko suddenly grabbed my shoulder. “Mayu, listen to me” she said with a serious gaze. “You’re not in love with Yuuta”
“I-I know that-!!” I was about to shove her away for stating out the obvious thing I knew about, but she kept held on my arms and didn’t let me away.
“The one you’re in love with is Yuki!!” She suddenly shouted as she struggled on holding me. “Kashiwagi Yuki is the one you love, you idiot!!”
Speechless, I could only look at her with shock. “T-there’s no way I’m--”
“You are!” Yuko suddenly said before I finished my sentence. “Accept it, Mayu! You’re in love with her”
“?!! No! I’m not in love with anybody! No and never!”
“Mayu-!! Tsk, stop being stubborn and accept it! Deep in your heart, you actually feel it, don’t you?! You know that you’re in love!”
I gasped in surprise.
She’s right… from the beginning, I knew that Kashiwagi-senpai had took my interest in a weird way.
I started to remember the past months.
How I would search for her.
Ask about her to my friends.
Smile while looking at her.
Think about her.
Dream about her.
“I… I’m in love with her…” I unconsciously mumbled. “I’m in love with someone… who loves my friend”
The brutal reality had finally reached me. My eyes began to fill as I thought about the pain truth. I’ve hurt the person I love…
I lifted my head and looked at Yuko. “What should I do…? I’ve hurt her… Even thought I knew she was in love with him, I-I…” I felt a warm tear roll down from my eyes.
“It’s alright, Mayu” Yuko used her thumb to wipe my tear. “I’ve once ruined your love life, so I swear, I won’t ruin this one” she hugged me.
Even thought she said something that bothered me, I can’t help but to feel sleepy by her warm hug.
Yuko once ruined my love life…?
…when?
I honestly don’t remember… but … I’m tired. I feel really miserable.
I closed my eyes as I was still being embraced by my sister.
Feeling tired by all the cries I bawled out since yesterday… I let the darkness fill me.
I fell asleep on my sister’s embrace.

“I’m sorry, Mayu” Yuko hugged me tighter. “Your sister here is a big idiot”

I slowly opened my eyes and found myself covered with a warm blanket. My head is dizzy, but for some reasons, I feel fresh. My throat stings because of its dryness. So I forced myself to wake up. As I walked towards the kitchen, I thought about getting a pirukuru on the fridge but something caught my attention.
There was a small, white box. A box of cake, standing neatly on the table. And it had a small piece of paper attached on to it.
‘For Mayu’
I’m 100% sure that this is Yuko’s handwriting.
I smiled as I found a strawberry cake inside it. “Arigatou… Yuko nee-chan”

Poor Mayu... realizing you're in love is one thing, but also having the realization that you may have ruined all your chances with this love hammered into you is just painful...
Not to mention that if Yuuta had feelings for Yuki, this misunderstanding screws him over too... Will he say anything about the misunderstanding?
