CHAPTER 1
-Krrrringggggggggg-
Onishii Kita High School bell rang. Everyone hurried out of the class to the cafeteria while Jurina walked with her friend Mayu and Sae. The three of them today brought their own bento and decided to ate lunch at the rooftop. Eventhough it was the middle of November, and the weather is chilly, they still decided to have their lunch there.
“ Bleargh , tempura again!?,” ranted Mayu while playing with her food, “ I don’t know how many times I told my mom not to make a tempura bento.”
“ Here, you can have my macaroni cheese, “ said Sae, holding out her bento towards Mayu.
“ Gee, thanks Sae-chan , “ said Mayu, accepting the offer.
“ Ah ! I almost forgot, “ said Sae, searching and ruffling her coat. She fished out a slightly wrinkled letter and gave it to Jurina. “ It’s from one of your fans. Again.”
Jurina who was stuffing her hungry stomach with melonpan, just muffled, “ You can p-paekkit”
“ Eh ?? ,” said a slightly confused Sae.
Jurina swallowed her final bits of melonpan and said, “ You. Can. Take. It.”
“Nandero? Why would I take it? Its yours by the way. And hey, if you’re tired of getting love letters from people, why don’t you date someone? I mean, if you date someone, eventually the letters will stop, won’t it?” suggested Sae.
Mayu snorted and said, “ Tch. As if she’s interested. My suggestion is you stop being too nice to all the girls out there. Try and be a tsundere like me.”
“ Hey, I’m not just nice to the girls okay. I’m an all-rounder. Besides, it’s not that I’m tired of the love letters or anything. Its just that my bag is full with letters and gifts and I think my bag is gonna torn off soon,” sighed Jurina.
They walk back halfway downstairs when Jurina forgets that she left her handkerchief at the rooftop.
“ You guys go ahead. I left my handkerchief. Catch you both later,” said Jurina and she walked back to the direction she came from when suddenly a girl infront of her was running with a pile of books in her hands, hit Jurina and basically the stereotype thing that always happen, the book and the girl carrying it , fell.
“ Are you okay?,” asked Jurina, while helping the shoulder-length hair girl picking up her books.
The girl’s hair covered her face so Jurina couldn’t take a full look on the girl. The girl grabbed the book from Jurina’s hand and keep bowing and saying “ Thank you” and something about need to hurry to the lab and the girl immediately rushed down the stairs, leaving Jurina scrouching down at the stairs alone. The girl seems to have left her nametag and shockingly, the name written at the nametag spells “Matsui Rena” .
Wow, same family name, thought Jurina. She picked up the nametag and kept it in her pocket. She thought the girl might knew her since Jurina is famous throughout the school. The girl might come back and asked for her nametag. But she was wrong. After several days, the girl did not even came to her. Neither Jurina could find the “rushing” girl. For all Jurina could remember is her hair and her pale white skin, plus, her name, Matsui Rena.
It was Thursday and Thursday meant club activities day after school. Every Thursday, all of the students finish their lessons at 2.30pm so that they can prepare for their club activities at 3.30pm. Jurina always stayback at school because her apartment is a little far from her school. Jurina is the Vice President for the swimming club and usually a lot of girls would skipped their club activities just to watch Jurina and several good looking boys swimming at their school pool.
Jurina walked through the door leading to the pool place and was welcomed with like 6 or 7 girls waving and shrieking crazily at her. Some were even holding a board saying “ Jurina Ganbatte”. Jurina managed a smile and slightly wave back at the girls, receiving another loud shrieking from them. She went to her personal V.P room and saw the Secretary of the Swimming Club, Kenji, arranging a pile of papers.
“ Oh , hey boss,” said Kenji cheerfully while shoving the papers to Jurina, “ Here’s the new namelist for the new intake for the swimming club. We only chose 10 over the 40 people who came for tryouts.”
“ Gee, thanks Kenji,” said Jurina while scanning the names. Jurina paused at the last name. The 10th member who managed to enter the club. Matsui Rena.
Kenji was a few steps away from the door when Jurina asked, “ Hey, is everyone in this namelist here?”
“ Yeah, I think so,” said Kenji , “ I told them to make a good impression towards the swimming clubs boards since its their first time. Why?”
“ Can you help me?” asked Jurina, still staring at the name in the paper.
Jurina waited for several minutes. For some reason, she felt like hours. And for some weird reason, she felt her heart beats fast. What the heck is wrong with you Jurina? asked herself in her thoughts. Calm down. You just wanna give back that nametag. Why are you being so nervo---
The door slowly opened. The same shoulder length hair girl, but now wearing a blue suit and tracks entered the room. Her eyes looking downwards and her head slightly bowing, closed the door.
“ S-sumimasen, the secretary told me that you call—“
“ Matsui Rena?” Jurina blurted out, cutting the girl.
The girl looked up and at that moment, Jurina knew, she is falling head over heels on this girl who shared the same family name as her.

CHAPTER 2
" D-did you called me?," asked Rena, slowly approaching the table Jurina's sitting, " Umm--senpai?"
Jurina snapped into reality, " Uh..yeah..you're Matsui Rena, right?
Rena nodded, her head still bowing a little, trying to avert eyes.
" You left this," Jurina hold out the nametag infront of Rena. Rena looked at the thing Jurina was holding in disbelief and said, " Eee? I've been searching this everywhere. I thought I lost it. I was also afraid if the prefects will caught me not wearing the name--"
Rena abruptly stop in her words when she heard Jurina's laugh. Rena's cheeks turn crimson red and her head bowed again.
Jurina can't contain her feelings on seeing Rena talking so fast suddenly and her reaction on seeing her nametag. It was too cute she ended up laughing. Rena kept looking at her every few seconds, wondering why the senpai infront of her is laughing suddenly.
"Sorry, I just--y-you're cute," said Jurina. There, said it, thought Jurina. Now, its her turn to turn red apple. " D-Dont lose it anymore, okay? Even if you knocked someone or fell down at school, your nametag is the first thing you search."
Rena suddenly turn wide eye and kept bowing vigorously, " I am sorry senpai. I didn't thought it was you. I w-was in a hurry at that time. I lost my way. I'm s--"
"Hey relax, I'm not mad at you? I mean, why would I?" asked Jurina, scratching her head.
Rena nodded and she tooked her nametag, " Thanks. I guess I'll go outside now."
" Oh..um-yeah, " said Jurina, feeling a little happy and sad at the same time. Happy because its the first conversation she had with this kawaii shy girl infront of her but sad she is walking away already. I really need to see this girl again, thought Jurina firmly.
The swimming practice was held and as usual, screams of support from the stands could be heard everytime Jurina and some other famous swimmers started swimming. Out of the corner of her eye, Jurina kept checking on Rena. She seemed shy, but at the same time she works really hard swimming back and forth 100metres using different swimming techniques. Jurina rest at the edge of the pool for a while, amazed at Rena's determination, eventhough she's still a newbie in the swimming club.
The president blew the whistle to signal that practice is over. Everyone hurled out of the pool. Jurina was immediately offered with a blue towel from one of her "fans" , Annin.
" Here, take this," said Annin with her bright smile, holding out the towel.
" Thanks Annin, " said Jurina. She patted Annin's shoulder in a friendly way to show her thankfulness and immediately when to the shower room. She took a warm shower and later started packing up her things to go back home. She kept her towel in the locker. Sighing at the sight of piles of towels stacking in her locker. All given by some of her fans.
Suddenly she wondered if Rena was in the locker room to. She turned around to no avail. There was just Yukirin fixing her hair while looking at the mirror. Of course, thought Jurina, who would still be here, its almost 6pm. Jurina is the kind of person who likes to take long showers and sometimes, will make some pretty hard life decisions there.
" I'm going now shoujo!," said Yukirin while wearing her coat. " You really need to take less time showering. Plus, its cold outside."
" I'll try," smirked Jurina and she picked up her coat, wear her beanie and plugged in her earphones. Jurina cringed due to the coldness outside. Its -1 degree celcius outside and she kinda regret on staying in the shower for too long. She nod to several girls who was giving their best-seductive-smile to Jurina and headed to the train station.
Jurina hunched and started to wear her gloves. It's freaking cold, thought Jurina, I need beeeeeed. There wasn't many people much at that time and Jurina looked to her right and found a familiar looking girl, like 30 metres on her right, reading a book. Her white skin became more paler exposed to the cold.
"Ren--" her call out to the girl was cut because the train had just arrived. They board the train and both of them were standing near but separated with an aunt standing between them. Rena was staring outside, still didn't noticed Jurina, who was looking every few second at her. Jurina starts to wonder where Rena is staying. As for Jurina, she's just two stops from the place she boarded.
" Attention this is Takasaki Station. Passengers may go out from the right side door."
Several peope including Jurina started to scrambled out from the train and shockingly Rena went out too. Jurina was heading to her apartment. She lived there alone since her parents are both working in London. They bought a luxurious apartment called I-Park which had a nice view of Tokyo. While walking, Jurina kept looking at the back of Rena who's still walking a few metres infront of her. She really has a nice body, thought Jurina, staring at the slender figure. What the heck are you thinking! Urghhhh, Jurina let out a small growl which suddenly made the figure infront of her turned around.
"Ju-Jurina senpai?," Rena said in a shock tone. She started to slow down on her pace so that Jurina could catch up with her.
" Ah..yeah. I wasn't s-stalking you or anything--" stuttered Jurina. Do I look like a stalker, Jurina thought again.
"You live in this area?" Rena asked while they walk. She didn't met Jurina's eyes though. Rena's cheek was getting redder too. Maybe its because of the cold wind though.
"Yeah, I'm staying at I-Park. You live there too ?" asked Jurina hopefully. She doesn't know why but she's half-hoping Rena is staying there too.
"No," answered Rena
"Oh, I th--" Jurina sounded like a flat tyre
"But, I'm staying nearby. Just across the park, " said Rena quickly, glancing quite a few times at Jurina.
They reached a T-Junction and there's only two ways, if it's the right way, you could already see a tall building 100metres from where their standing. That's I-Park. If they turn left, there's housing area and the middle is the park.
"I guess, I'll be going then.."said Rena in a low tone while bowing to Jurina.
"Uh..yeah. Ashita matane !," said Jurina confidently. Well she's trying to.
Rena suddenly winced when Jurina said that, " H-Hai."
Rena turned left and walked away. Jurina still stood there looking like some dumbfounded person who lost their way home, staring at Rena's back going further away. She doesn't know why, but she felt kinda lonely now that Rena had gone back home.
She slowly dragged her feet to her apartment. Push the 7th floor button in the elevator. Reached her room and punched out the passwords on her door.
"Okaeri, " muttered Jurina under her breath. She immediately sanked to the comfortable sofa. Thinking about what happened today. She thought of Rena and this might sound mushy and weird, but there's this sudden feel like an electric moving inside her body, giving her heart some electric shocks. This tingling feeling, thought Jurina, could it be....
Jurina suddenly nudged up when her phone vibrated. She took out from her pocket and discovered 2 missed calls from Mayu and 5 text messages from Mayu, Sae and some of her friends. I'll call her later, thought Jurina. She logged in to her twitter account and start scrolling down the newsfeed. Her "mentions" were too many for her to replied so she just read and replied to few people.
Jurina felt like tweeting suddenly. She tweeted, "Nametag really has nice eyes"
Just by that tweet, she'd received a lot of RT-s and favourites and a jumble ofquestions. Jurina chuckled at a few comments about her tweet. Some of her fans are really like the I-want-to-know-it-all type. Then, a DM just blopped out from Mayu.
"You cant answer my calls and here you are tweeting about the nametag girl -_-"
Mayu is really quick to catch up about these. So that's why Jurina never lied to Mayu. Even if she tried, Mayu wont buy it.
"I didn't notice, silly. Why were you calling?"
"I was going to ask you about the physics homework baka. What page did we need to do? Me and Sae-chan didnt jot it down earlier.
" Pg 12 - 16 . Have fun doing it! I'm off to shower."
Jurina's an all-rounder at school. Her looks are a bonus. She's known for being a top ranking student in school and she's athletic too. Despite being famous and stuff, she never dates anyone before. Well, she did met a lot of pretty and kawaii girls who's into her, but her heart just doesn't tick. But this Rena the nametag girl, everytime Jurina sees her, her stomach felt like its doing a somersault. I like her, thought Jurina.
" I like you," Jurina muttered slowly. A huge grin starts to spread on her face. So this....this is love?

CHAPTER 3
The next day at school, since Jurina arrived, she kept her eyes wide open. Scanning for Rena, hoping to catch a glimpse or, maybe, you know, exchange a few conversations. But Jurina ended up in a devastated mode by the end of the day. Rena was nowhere to be found on the school grounds. Did she even came to school today?, thought Jurina while keeping her books in her bag.
"Hey, whats with the long face today?," asked Sae coming over to Jurina's table.
" What longface? My face has always been like this," shrugged off Jurina, standing up and slinging her bag on her shoulders.
"Tch , " sneered Mayu, " You think I'm stupid? Its that nametag girl right? Matsui Rena?"
"Wait, you mean the nametag girl?," asked Sae, looking back at forth at Mayu and Jurina in a questioning look.
"What are you guys talking about? Lets go home! I've got tuition tonight," said Jurina and she went in the middle of Mayu and Sae and put her arms around their shoulders and dragged them out of the class. In the back of her mind, she really is thinking about Rena.
Jurina had tuition to attend at 8pm till 9.30pm. Despite her, being a top scorer in her class, she still attends to extra night classes at a small instituiton. Hey, call her a nerd, but in this life, gaining and learning new knowledge is never-ending right?
" Alright class, make sure you remember the difference between elasstic collision and inelastic collison....." trailed on their physics tutor.
For some reason, Jurina was not focused that day. For the first time, Matsui Jurina, not focusing on what her tutor is talking about. Great, Jurina thought to herself, keep up being like this and you're gonna slack. When the tutor announce the class is over, she immediately stood up but she was called by her tutor.
"Jurina-san, a word if you please, " said the tutor calling Jurina suddenly while all the others are slowly scurrying out of the class.
"Yes?," asked Jurina, confused why her tutor called her.
"Are you okay? You seemed kinda hazy today?," asked the tutor while he was packing his things on the table.
"Yeah, I'm ok--,"
" What is the difference between elastic collision and inelastic collision?" asked the tutor suddenly, looking at Jurina while waiting for an answer.
"Umm..elastic is..umm," Jurina trailing off. Trying to rack her brains hard while mantaining an I-knew-the-answer expression infront of the teacher.
"Wow, for the first time, you, Jurina, didn't manage to answer my question?," said the tutor sounding a little taken aback but amused at the same time.," Are you sure you're okay?"
"Umm...I'm not feeling that well sensei," lied Jurina, tch, so much of not feeling well, what a downright lie, Jurina thought.
"Must be the cold, eh?," questioned the tutor giving Jurina a worried look, " You need to take care of yourself. Dont work too hard. Get sufficient rest. I know you're balancing with your club activities and your studies, but, still, health is important too. Understood?"
"Hai!," said Jurina, " I'll go now sensei. Kyo wa arigato gozaimasushita !"
She bowed at the sensei and walked out of the class. While she was going downstairs, there were still few other people who just got out from the other classes. There were 2 classes going on at once tonight. One was her physics tuition for the 12th graders and the other one was maths class for the 10th graders. She walked out of the institution just to find a very very familiar girl, bidding goodbye to her friend. She was about to walk away when she look sideways and saw Jurina.
"R-Rena-san..." muttered Jurina, stopping in her tracks, "How-I mean, do you go to this institution too?"
"Y-yes.. senpai ?" asked Rena, sounding curious and taken aback at the same time.
"Yeah..I've been here for a year. I m-mean, not standing here, I mean learning in this instituition." stumbled Jurina. What the heck is going on with you Jurina, she thought to herself, she couldnt remember how many times she kept face-palming in her mind.
"Really? I've only been here for a month though, " said Rena, slightly smiling? Or maybe grinning? Jurina couldnt interpret what kind of expression is Rena having because, damn this girl infront of her is looking way too cute, even with a simple brown furry jacket.
"Oh, really? So... besides at school, we could meet here often too eh?," suggested Jurina. Trying to sound bold.
"I g-guess so...," said Rena slightly averting Jurina's eyes again. A tinklish pink starting to form on her cheeks.
"Say....you must be walking back home too, right?," asked Jurina, while crossing her fingers.
"Yeah...my house isn't that far. Yours aren't too, right?" replied Rena tentatively.
"Yep. Why don't we walk together? Its better walking in packs or... with someone at night isn't it? Danger is bound to happen anytime..especially at night where a kawaii girl is walking alone..." Jurina said in a low voice at the last 6 words. Low enought for Rena to hear since she turned from pink to red.
They walked together in silence. I mean, it wasn't an awkward silence though, and it wasn't a totally comfortable silence either. But either way, Jurina liked it. Jurina slightly glance on her left at Rena, who was still slightly red in the face. Jurina noticed Rena's hand was shaking a little. God, this girl, its -4 celcius and she's not even wearing a glove. Jurina slowly pulled out her own gloves and gave it to Rena.
"Here, wear these," said Jurina, holding out the gloves at Rena.
Rena looked quite shock to see Jurina handing out her gloves to her, " B-but its yours. You must've been col--"
"You need it more than I do," said Jurina, grabbing Rena's right hand and placed the gloves on her palm, "Wear it."
"T-Thank you," said Rena and she slowly wear Jurina's glove. They continued to walk in silence once more.
Jurina can't help but to asked, " Did you came to school today?"
Rena looked at her in a puzzled look, " I did. W-why ?"
Jurina looked dumbfounded, " I didnt notice you..today,"
"Why were you searching for me?," asked Rena in a curious tone while avoiding eye contact with Jurina.
"I wasn't searching...it's just that..I, umm... wondered if you wore the nametag?," replied Jurina. Thank God there's a proper excuse, must be pretty lame though, thought Jurina.
"Oh...," said Rena, sounding a little down?," I did wore it. I couldn't bear to forget about the nametag. Its the first thing I checked before going to school."
"Great then...." said Jurina, lost for words on what other questions she wanted to asked.
"Well, this is my home, " said Rena stopping in her tracks. They walked in the housing areas earlier and now both of them were infront of a two storey terrace house. 2907, that must've been Rena's house number since its written at the postbox. Why oh why does it feel so short when you're with someone you like, thought Jurina.
" I'll get going then,"said Rena looking at Jurina intently, "Oyasuminasai!"
"Ah..yeah, " said Jurina, looking back at Rena after seeing her house, "Oyasuminasai. Hope I could see you tomorrow?"
"H-Hai....," trailed on Rena. She opened the small gate and slightly bowed and waved at Jurina before entering.
Jurina waved back. Feeling somehow more confident. As the gate shut, Jurina took one last glimpse of the gate and the house before walking away. While she walked back to her apartment, she remembered her gloves were at Rena. Jurina grinned while walking, at least a part of my scent stays at her, thought Jurina, chuckling alone like a fool.
She took out her phone and tweeted , "My gloves are at 2907.." As usual, a dozen of RT's and favourites and the same jumble of questions filled her "mentions" . Jurina kept her phone back in her pocket. She reflects the things that occured today. How sad she was when she didn't found Rena at school, and how happy and giddy she was when she met Rena at the instituition. Plus, how tremendously thankful she is, that she could walk back home with Rena. So its true, thought Jurina, love... really controls how you feel throughout the day. How weird and amazing at the same time. Whatever it is, Jurina can't wait to see Rena the next day. She arrived at her place, still smiling, at just the thought of tomorrow.

CHAPTER 4
RENA'S POV
As Rena entered her house, the living room was dark except a dim light shine at the kitchen table and a cup of ramen with a small note was left. It must be her aunt who's working on a night shift at a private hospital. Rena's aunt is a nurse and she is currently staying with her aunt since her parents is staying at Nagoya. Rena moved to Tokyo at the end of September because her mom insists her to accompany her aunt who's living alone here. Well to be honest, Rena is happy to stay with with her young aunt, since their age gap wasn't so wide, they were more like sisters rather than aunt-siblings relationship.
"Eat this for supper if you're hungry, I know its kinda bad since you're studying and stuff. But hey, once in a while wont hurt you :)"
Rena smiled and tried to pull out the note out from the ramen. Its hard when you're wearing gloves......... GLOVES??
"Oh my god! It's Jurina senpai's glove!!," exclaimed Rena while pulling the gloves out. I wonder if she noticed that her gloves is at mine. Why do I burdened her so much?, thought Rena while gently knocking her head, feeling like a baka.
Rena changed into her pyjamas and lay down on her bed. She put the gloves at her bedside table, next to the nametag, so that when she woke up, she'll see those two things first and never forgets about them. Rena recalled about what happened just now. She still think things are happening so fast. I mean, Jurina, one of the famous ikemen looking girl, just walked back home with Rena? And this wasnt their first encounter. It was fourth, if you added with the time when she knocked down all her books with Jurina. Surely, it would be a lie, if you don't feel a thing if you're talking to Jurina. I mean, literally almost the whole girls in school adores her so much. But recently, Rena have been feeling quite different. Besides respecting and admiring Jurina as a senior, she's been feeling this doki doki feeling in her heart.
Doki doki, smirked Rena, what a childish words though. Rena yawned and switch off her bedlamp. Rena reminds herself before shutting her eyes, give back Jurina's glove, don't forget that! Rena didnt know if its a dream or her imagination is running wild, she saw Jurina smiling cheerfully and waving at her to come over. And then everything went still.
The next day, Rena almost missed the train. She overslept. So much for the alarm clock which suddenly isnt functioning that well. Thank God when she arrived at school the bell didnt rang yet. She went straight to her locker and found her best friend , Churi chatting with Airin near her locker.
"Rena! You were a little late today!," exclaimed Churi
"Yeah, I overslept...My alarm clock didnt work that well," said Rena, still half panting since she ran in to the school grounds thinking that she'll be late. Rena took out the gloves from her coat pocket. Should I gave it before class starts? thought Rena, while staring at the gloves.
"Is it your gloves?,"asked Airin in a puzzled tone, " For all I know you never wore gloves before since you ALWAYS forgets them."
Rena gave a small laughed and was about to tell them about the gloves when Churi nudged both of them and said, " Wow look, Jurina senpai and her friends... Sae-san is so cool. Mayu's cool too,"
"I heard Mayu's a tsundere," said Airin still staring at three of them who's walking at the locker corridors.
Rena who was holding the gloves, immediately shove it into her locker, and staring hard at the books inside her locker. She doesn't want Jurina to noticed her yet. She could sense the three of them footsteps getting nearer and came to a halt, when suddenly a rushing of footsteps could be heard running to the spot behind Rena.
" Senpai.... ohayo," said a girl behind her. Rena doesn't really know who but it must be one of Jurina's fans.
"Take this bento please. I made it for you this morning. I even woke up early to make it," plead the girl behind her.
Jurina accepted the bento and said "thanks" to the girl and left with her friends. By Jurina's tone, Rena knew Jurina had no choice to accept the bento since everyone's eyes was on her and.... well, Jurina is a very nice person. She won't say no for a thing. Rena suddenly feel a slight twinge of...annoyance? towards the girl. Rena turned to her right and saw Jurina and her friends went up the stairs to their class.
"Tch , what a desperate girl, " said Churi folding her arms, " I bet Jurina senpai must be tired of those gifts."
" Well, Annin really likes Jurina, " said Airin while observing her bangs in the mirror, " Come on lets go to class before the bell rings."
Rena planned to make a quick dash to her locker right after the recess bell rings but as usual she couldn't be quicker than her classmates who completely ran to the cafeteria as if they've never eaten for a thousand years.
"Rena-chan , where are you going?," asked Churi after they head out from their class.
"You guys go first, I left my melonpan in my locker," replied Rena. Well it wasn't a lie though, she really did left her melonpan in her locker but its okay since she's planning to take the gloves too.
"Oh , okay, catch you later, " shrugged off Churi and she swing one arm to Airin's shoulder and left without being curious.
The locker hall was kinda empty, there's only the janitor and a couple of girls and boys talking near their locker. Rena opened her locker and took out her melonpan and the gloves. She folded the gloves neatly and put inside her coat pocket. She locked back at her locker and heard shuffled of feets from the right and saw Jurina and her two friends talking while holding their bento, while Jurina was holding a melonpan too. Rena stood bewildered and stunned for a moment so she did not move and stood there like a stone for a while. Who wouldn't notice this awkward girl standing like a stone near her locker staring at them.
"Rena-san !," cried Jurina from afar. She heard Jurina said something like, "you guys go ahead", " i'll be there later". She also saw Mayu nudging Sae and they're giving this weird giggling smile to Jurina. Jurina came to Rena who stood there looking taken aback, while Mayu and Sae went upstairs to the rooftop.
"H-hey....Rena-san?," waved Jurina infront of her eyes, " You here?"
"H-hai...eto..your gloves," murmured Rena, while rummaging her pocket to take out the gloves.
"Yada..... you can keep it!," said Jurina, putting one hand at the locker and the other hand in her pocket. She look so cool, thought Rena, and so close to me!
"Eee? B-but its your gloves!, " exclaimed Rena still trying to give back Jurina's gloves, " your hands will get cold too if you don't wear them."
"Haven't I told you last night that you need it more than I do?," said Jurina chuckling a little, "Besides, I'm 99.9% sure that you weren't wearing one since I saw you earlier this morning...and.... you were.. running?"
Greaaaaaat , Rena thought, this is so embarassing, Jurina saw her running to school. Well she did ran like a girl being chased by a dog earlier. That must've looked weird.
" I thought it was late already, " said Rena looking down at her shoes, too embarassed to see Jurina's twinkling eyes.
"Did you overslept or something? Thinking to much last night?," asked Jurina. Rena wondered if Jurina was talking about their walk-back-home-together thingy or not.
"Yeah.... my alarm clock broke down suddenly," trailed on Rena, and she slowly looked up to Jurina and see her smiling a little, " Umm ... are you sure you don't want your gloves back?"
Jurina flapped her hands and shooked her head, " Nahh... keep it. I have another 2 pairs at home. Umm, say.... are you going back home at 3pm too, today?"
"Y-yeah, " nodded Rena, wondering why she's asking it. Could it be--- ?
" Umm... w-wanna go back home together?" asked Jurina, slightly stammering and blushing a little, " I mean if you're busy and you got other stuff to do, its ok. I was just aski--"
"Ok, " Rena replied shortly, glancing quite a few times at Jurina. Well she felt her cheeks are boiling!! This is not a good sign. Well, since Rena is white, I mean like almost chalk white, and if she blush, it'll be easy to see.
"Really?," Jurina sounded astonished and happy at the same time, " I mean, you're free?"
" Yeah, I don't have anything to do today besides tonight's tuition again," answered Rena truthfully.
"Awesome, then I'll see you at the front gate later. C-could you umm..wait for me if I'm slightly late?" asked Jurina, frowning a little.
" Okay....," Rena nodded and Jurina split into a huge smile. That smile could make an ice melt, thought Rena.
"Then, I'll see you later I suppose? You should eat that melonpan now," Jurina pointed at Rena's melonpan using her own melonpan, " Guess you like melonpan too eh?"
"H-hai. I'll go now, " Rena bowed and made like a 3 second eye contact with Jurina before both of them blushed like crazy, Rena walked quickly heading to the cafeteria. Rena made a left turn to the washroom for a while. She clasped her cheeks, her heart having this doki doki feeling again. She thought, is this really happening? She was about to go out from the washroom after washing her hands when a group of five people came in the washroom , led by, Annin, blocking her way.
"Where are you going so fast missy?," said Annin, slowly walking to Rena, " You'd think you'll get away with what you did earlier?"
Rena was astounded. Did Annin saw her and Jurina earlier? Rena stared at the other four girls behind her, looking damn mean, staring at her. Rena felt like a tiny ant now. I'm doomed, thought Rena.

CHAPTER 5
Rena moved backwards one step at a time as Annin and her gang kept moving forward towards her. Annin clutched her melonpan tight. This melonpan won't work as a defensive tool, thought Rena.
"What makes you think you can be so close with Jurina?," asked Annin a furious tone, " I'm the one who deserves to be close with her. I've been by her side longer than you. And you....you came out of nowhere and trying to be close with her? Who the heck are you kidding?!!"
Annin jabbed Rena's shoulders and threw her melonpan from her clutch. Rena winced when Annin's followers squashed her melonpan to a pulp. Rena felt tears starts to build in her eyes. Why are these girls so mean, thought Rena. She glared at Annin whose putting on a smugged smile.
"Aww...... don't tell me you're an emobaby," jeered one of Annin's followers in a sarcastic baby tone.
"W-why.......WHY ARE YOU BEING LIKE THIS?," shout Rena, now tears starts to drop from her eyes.
"You're still asking WHY?," said Annin in disbelief and she was about to slap Rena, when the washroom door suddenly burst open, making a few girls throttle to the front pushing Annin forward. Turnsout Jurina came. Jurina closed the door back and frown at the encircled group circling Rena. She went and picked up the squash melonpan on the floor.
"What are you guys doing to her? Why is this thing squash?," asked Jurina, her voice sounding like daggers.
No one answered. Even Annin bowed her head a little, looking flustered. Jurina turn to look at Rena who's wiping her eyes. Rena refused to look at Jurina in her state like this.
" Rena-san.... are you okay?," asked Jurina in a hush tone. Honestly, Rena felt like crying again when Jurina asked her condition but she just nodded.
Jurina then made an unexpected grab of Rena's right hand and said, " I can't believe you guys did this to her. I thought you guys knew what's wrong or right. And you....," Jurina looked at Annin , " I'm so dissapointed at you."
"Sumimasendeshita!," cried Annin, bowing almost 90 degress, her fellow members followed suit, " Please forgive us senpai. I-- we, we wont do this again!"
Jurina grabbed Rena's hand tightened and said, " If I found out you guys laid a finger on Rena.... I swear I won't forgive you guys."
Jurina grabbed Rena firmly and they immediately went out of the washroom and went back to the locker place. Jurina let go of her hand and she opened her locker, taking out another melonpan.
"Here, take this," Jurina gave the melonpan to Rena, who's not sure whether to accept or not. Rena starts to feel a little scared? to be with Jurina at the moment. She push away the melonpan and said , " I'm sorry for disturbing and burdening you... I-- gomennasai!"
Rena turned her back from Jurina and walked fast to the cafeteria. She heard Jurina calling her name twice. She felt guilty to left Jurina like that after she had helped her but..... this isn't right. Who is she kidding to be friends..... or ..maybe.. more than that...with Jurina? Rena went to the cafeteria and saw Churi and Airin sitting with Yuria and Non.
"Hey, what take you so long?," asked Churi as soon as she sat down on the bench, " and why are your eyes red?"
"It's nothing. The janitor was sweeping the cobwebs near the locker and you know, the dust when in my eyes..." excused Rena, that must sound like a lame cliche excuse.
"But where's your melonpan?" asked Airin, still munching on her cookies,
"I thought it was in my locker, turnsout I forgot to bring it too," replied Rena.
Churi was eyeing Rena suspiciously, probably not buying what Rena had said just now, instead asking about the real thing, Churi said, " Here, take my apple juice. I took for you earlier, and lets share my bento. Come on, we only have like 10 minutes left."
"Thanks....but I'll just drink the juice, " Rena poked the straw in the juice and sipped it. Her minds in a total mess. Annin and her gang, they were scary and Rena don't think they'll back down easily eventhough Jurina warned them. Rena thought about the walk-back-home-together after school with Jurina. Should she go? What if there's more of people who's like Annin? Rena is no good at defensing herself. Maybe..... maybe she should just stay away from Jurina. Then, things like earlier wont happen, thought Rena, she felt a small pain somewhere near her heart. She still wanted to see, to talk, with Jurina but....but.. she's sca--
"Rena......you know you've been spacing out since just now?," whispered Churi in a worried tone, " Are you ok?"
Rena managed a smile, " I'm okay Churiiiiii. Don't worry ne?"
Rena also felt guilty not telling Churi and Airin about her situation but...it's best not to tell yet, thought Rena. Later, they went back to class as usual. Rena tried to focus hard on what the sensei's teaching. She could feel Churi glancing at her sometimes. When the end of school bell rang, Airin asked, "Rena, wanna go to the cafe with me and churi? I've been craving Red Velvets!"
"I wish I can, but I need a rest for a while," turned down Rena, " I've got tuition tonight."
"Aww too bad, " sighed Airin, " tell us when you dont have that tuition thingy, then we could all go together next time."
"Okay, "smiled Rena. The three of them walked together outside. While heading out to the front gate. Rena keep wondering if she should wait, or just go. Since Churi and Airin are with her, it must've look weird to suddenly stopped for a while at the front gate. And Rena shuddered to think what if other Jurina's "fans" saw her walking back with her. She glance behind butJurina was still not to be found. I'm sorry Jurina, thought Rena. She bid goodbye to Churi and Airin who's going to a different direction with her and make her way to the train station. As she walked, she felt a slapped in her heart, she felt like turning back to the front gate but her legs just wont. Rena wondered if she'll meet Jurina tonight, since Rena had tuition. What am I gonna do when I see her, thought Rena helplessly.

CHAPTER 6
JURINA POV
The school bell rang and Jurina quickly grab her bag and dash out of her class but her quick dash was halted when her swimming coach, Ms Shinoda called her from the teacher's lounge. Ms Shinoda told Jurina to get top 6 of the best swimmers in the school so that they could compete with Shinji High students for their Annual Swimming Competition. Jurina just nodded vigorously to what Ms Shinoda said. At the back of her mind, she was screaming, FASTER PLEASEEEE! It seems that Ms Shinoda noticed the Jurina wasnt really concetrating.
" Jurina, are you in a rush or something?"
"Ehh? N-No....."
Ms Shinoda raised an eyebrow and suddenly stared straight into Jurina's eyes. That kind of gaze where you feel like those eyes penetrating you. Jurina tried her best to look innocent and blinked quite a few times and half smiled in relieved when her swimming coach said she could go back now.
Jurina half-walk and half-ran out to the gate. She wanted to run but uh, you know, with those juniors who kept trying to talk to her, she can't just like ignored it. Jurina still has those politeness eventhough in the back of her mind, there's only Rena there. Her heart suddenly plunged downwards when she saw no one was at the front gate. I mean, there was several students, but not the person Jurina was finding. She sighed heavily, slowly walking with her beg on one side, scanning around if, maybe IF, Rena was somewhere around. But to no avail, she wasn't seen anywhere. Jurina thought maybe at the train station she'll be there, but her heart plunged more downwards when she find out Rena wasn't there anymore.
Jurina went back home, showered and lay in her bed for a while. She must've wanted to stay away from me, thought Jurina, after Annin's group attack her. Jurina squashed her face in the pillow and muffled a frustration scream. Jurina couldn't completely blamed Annin's gang for this because if Jurina hadn't tried to talk first with Rena at school, Annin's gang wont saw that. Urgh , you freakin baka Jurina. Jurina was still replaying what happen today on her mind but quickly came back to reality when her phone buzzed. A message from Mayu.
" So, how did it go?"
" FAIL !!!"
"I knew she wouldnt turn up -.-"
"This is not cheering me up mayuyu >.< "
"Hahaha....um well..didn't you said you attend the same tuition as her? Dont you have one tonight??"
"OMFG ! You're a genious ! I love youuuuuuu >//< ! "
" I know I am ~ "
Well, now Jurina knew she wasn't completely doomed. But she'll be doomed if Rena ranaway again from her tonight. Jurina heaved another sigh and as usual, as an active person in SNS, she logged in her twitter and scroll and scroll. She saw Annin tweeting something about regret. Jurina scoffed at the tweet, but oh well, since Jurina is a forgiving person, she "favourite" the tweet. If Annin was quick, she'll know Jurina had forgiven her. Jurina starts to wonder if Rena had a twitter account, she tried to search her followers, but they were to many and it made her dizzy. She typed " Matsui Rena " on the search list, but came out several unknown people.
She gave up on searching her but she tweeted something, again, related to Rena.
" Don't runaway :-/ "
Jurina half hoped Rena saw the tweet eventhough she wasn't sure if Rena had one. Later, Jurina arrived at her tuition but saw nobody who resembles like Rena. She still manage to concentrate on her Additional Mathematics class, since its one of her favourite subject. But still Rena kept nagging at the back of her mind. This time, the add maths sensei, didn't stopped Rena from dashing quickly out from the class like her physics sensei did. As Jurina went out, she noticed a too familiar girl, in a white sweater, putting on a black coat while she's heading back home.
"Rena-san !," called Jurina, and a wide-eyed Rena turned her head towards her.
Jurina walked towards Rena, and scratched her head, thinking about the words she was about to say, but Rena talked first.
"S-Senpai...umm, about earlier... I'm s-sorry-"
" No, I'M sorry. It was totally my fault. I should have realised Annin and her gang was around. I really, REALLY, didn't meant to make them hurt you. I--"
Rena shooked her head and said, " You didn't did any wrong. It was my foolishness to think I could talk with you. I m-mean who am I next to Annin?"
Jurina almost giggled to see Rena in this state, eventhough it wasnt the right moment to giggle, she couldnt resist Rena's kawaiiness.
Rena frowned, " What? W-Why are you laughing?"
Jurina waved her hands to sign it was nothing. But Rena still slightly frowned and was pouting a little. In Jurina's mind she was like , WHY SO KAWAII !!
"Its nothing Rena-san. I assure you. So, umm...... is this 'thing' over? I mean, can you not runaway from me like you did earlier?" asked Jurina tentatively.
Rena blushed and nodded, " But I think w-we shouldn't really talked to each other at school."
"Whaaat? Why not? Those girls wont hurt you anymore. Trust me, " said Jurina firmly.
Rena shrugged and together they started to walked back but Jurina suddenly had an idea. Well actually, she wanted to spent a little more time with this kawaii girl so she said,
"Um....Rena-chan? Can I call you that? I-If you don't mind, and not busy, wanna go to that chattime cafe nearby?"
Rena turn more red when Jurina decided to call her 'Rena-chan' she slightly halted to Jurina's offer to the cafe but Jurina did a punch-in-the-air move in her mind when Rena nodded.
They arrived in the cafe shortly. The chattime cafe has two floors. They ordered the blueberry and strawberry flavoured tea and went to the second floor. Jurina's heart keep thumping like crazy, she even wondered whether Rena heard that. They sat down at the furthest table at the corner. The second floor was more lessen people. There were few lovebirds and some college students typing their assignment. To Jurina, she and Rena looked like someone on a date or something which Jurina felt kinda hot in the face suddenly. Rena sat facing her and she took off her black coat, folded it in half and placed it on her lap. She blushed again when she look straight to see Jurina staring at her.
Jurina face-palmed a thousand times again in her mind, for being such an obvious fool staring at Rena. She quickly sipped her strawberry tea, too fast, till she almost choke. She covered her mouth and look sideways while coughing. Great, making a fool infront of her again, thought Jurina.
" Are you okay?," asked Rena in a worried tone.
Jurina bit back her cough, gulped and said, " Nah, its nothing. It was the pearls. It got stuck for a while."
Rena smiled, showing her gums a little. Jurina had to say, that was the prettiest smile she'd ever seen in her life. She hope the smile could kept rewinding in her mind.
" I must've look weird isn't it?," Jurina scratched her head again, " Umm by the way, err........ you could just call me Jurina though.."
" Eh??, " said Rena in a shock tone.
" I mean, since I called you 'Rena-chan' , then you could call me 'Jurina' or maybe 'Jurina-chan or san' ," said Jurina
"O-Okay then....," Rena sipped her bluberry tea and started to stare downwards.
"So.....umm , " It seems Jurina needs to start the conversation. She needs to know more about this 'angel eyes' , " do you have any social accounts? I mean like facebook or twitter etc?"
" I only have twitter and I just started on instagram?," spoke Rena calmly. She took a sipped of her tea before putting it down and said, " What do you have besides twitter, instagram and facebook?"
Jurina's jaw-dropped. So this girl knew about her social accounts. Could she? I mean...........does that mean...?
"Do you know about my social accs?,"
" Who doesn't ?"
Jurina, again, almost choked on her tea, when Rena said that. Jurina think about her tweets about Rena. If she followed her twitter, then there's a 50-50 chance that she read her tweets or maybe not.
" Oh really.... did you follow my twitter account?"
Rena paused for a moment to think and then replied, " I think a couple days ago..."
Jurina just managed an 'Oh' and thought to herself, how come she couldn't find Rena's account. And then it hit her again when she thought about her tweets about Rena. I think Jurina could confirmed 100% about Rena reading her tweets when Rena giggled and said, " Are you thinking about the tweets?"
GREAT!!!!!!! , thought Jurina. The embarassment is killing inside. How can she cover her stalker-side within her. This is gonna be one of the unforgetable days, thought Jurina.

I was on a whole day trip back to my home :nervous
Rena's voice on saying it. How cute, thought Jurina. After Jurina visually banged her head against the wall for a million time, she managed an awkward laugh.
"Hehehehe........... ano... you read my tweets?"
Rena licked her lips a little before speaking, which made Jurina stare at her for a while.
"Well, I didn't intend to read your tweets but... since most of the people I follow are the people within our school, so..... they retweeted a lot of your tweets..."
"Oh....yeah those people..," said Jurina, still feeling kinda awkward. Did Rena really realised about the things Jurina tweeted about her?
Rena suddenly spoke something in a shy tone, that made Jurina coughed. She coughed a little when she's kinda nervous or shy or....embarassed.
"Umm......about those t-tweets you tweeted........I was curious on one tweet.."
"E-Ehhh ??? Which one? I always tweet something out of the place...."
Rena starts to shift a little in her seat and said ," The tweet about 'My gloves are at 2907'.....w-was it....umm...was it about........ me?"
Jurina felt like suddenly there's a stone stuck in her throat and she couldnt speak due to over shyness and she doesn't know how red her face is, but she could feel the heat radiating from her face.
"Eehhh? Um..... y-yeah...that was uh....... that was about you though..I mean its true I left the gloves at you."
Rena simply nodded and continue sipping her blubbery tea. She seem to force herself not to smile over what Jurina said. Jurina on the other hand keeps raking her brain on what other questions she wanted to ask about Rena. I mean, back when she was at her apartment, lots and lots of questions seems to pop out of nowhere making her so curious about Rena. But when Rena herself, is infront of her, she became speechless.
"So......your parents..... are they okay if you don't come back straight home?"
"I'm living with my aunt actually. My parents are staying in Nagoya. They told me to accompany my aunt here, since she's living alone. And she works night shift as a nurse, so it's okay then," explained Rena.
"Oh, a nurse huh? That's a cool job too. I'm not the type of person who likes to deal with blood and injections and stuff..." confessed Jurina
" You're scared of needles and blood?," asked Rena finding the new fact interesting.
"Y-Yeah......sorta. I don't really like seeing people in pain, and needles....um...not much of a fan," Jurina cringe slightly at the thought of needles.
The conversation between them became more and more interesting. Jurina is so happy to finally be able to talk comfortably with the girl she's so keen to talk too. There are similiar things that she and Rena likes which make it more interesting. As they chatted for a quite a long time, they didn't realise time had been ticking kinda fast until Rena checked her watch, to findout that its 10.40pm. They went out from the shop, lowing their head a little since its getting windy. They walked in silence, but its a comfortable one.
As usual, the road they took will passed Rena's house first. Wow, this is the second time I walk her home, thought a happy Jurina.
"Ano...... what's wrong?," asked Rena who's looking at Jurina who's smiling sloppishly like a dog who got its treat.
Jurina completely zapped out of her thought and said, " Hehehe... it's just that I was too happy today. Aren't you?"
"H-Hai... omoshiroii desu," answered Rena with a smile.
They reached Rena's house, which is looking totally dark inside except the light outside is switched on.
" Aren't you scared of the dark?," asked Jurina.
"Um... not really. I'm used to this. It's okay by the way, " replied Rena while looking at her house.
Rena may look like the weak kind of type from the outside since she's a quiet and a little shy person but Jurina noticed she's actually brave and bold. Hey, you can't judge a book by its cover right?
"Umm............ about tomorrow at school, " Rena started on, " I think i-its best if we.......umm ....don't-"
" Don't talk? ," Jurina completed the sentence for Rena, " Its okay if you're still not comfortable talking to me at school, but uh, at least outside school, I can still talk to you, can I?"
Rena blushed on Jurina's effort to try and talk to her, eventhough Rena's just a plain nobody.
"I can't ?," pouted Jurina after Rena still didnt answer her.
"N-No No..... it's just that. I'm curious on why do you want to befriend me?" replied Rena in a curious tone.
Jurina blushed a little and scratched her head, " Eto......do you need a reason to befriend someone? Hmm........... I don't know. I-Its um...... you're fun to be with."
Rena blushed more and more. She hopes Jurina didnt see that during the night because Rena think she looks like a ripe tomato now.
" Um........ okay. You're fun to be with too"
Jurina smiled happily and said, " Well then..... can I have your number? I mean, to make it more easier to contact you. Since we couldn't talk at school, we could text inside school."
"Eehh..... ??"
" Hahahah no I'm just kidding. The teacher will caught us if we do that huh? But really, can I have your number?"
In the back of Jurina's mind, she was desperately begging, Oh Lord, please let me have her number, pleaseeeeeeeee!
" If you want my number, shouldn't you take out your phone first?," said Rena in a teased tone.
"Y-yeah.....," muttered Jurina, feeling kinda dumb at the moment. She fished out her phone from her pocket, slide her homescreen to unlock it, and straight to the contacts. She looked expectantly at Rena.
"Oh....um, its 0102469058, " said Rena feeling a little agitated. This is the first time she gave her number to..... to another person who...who she felt slightly different. Rena's actually not the type of person who gave her number to a person who she just knew for a short time, but Jurina's different.
" Save !, " exclaimed a cheerful Jurina, " Thanks Rena. I'll text you when I'm free. Please expect my text hahaha."
Rena couldn't help but laugh a little at Jurina's quirky jokes. Rena noticed Jurina is more laidback when she's with her, rather at school, she's always more quiet and the obedient type. A very respectable person.
"Ja.........Thanks for the tea. Goodnight...J-Jurina-san," said Rena, for the first time calling Jurina, 'Jurina-san', rather than her usual 'senpai' .
Jurina smiled till her ears, completely pleased on Rena calling her that, "Say....after time goes by, it'll turn to a 'chan' won't it?"
"E-ehhh.....??," Rena slightly blush again on Jurina teasing her.
"I'm joking.... well, I'll see you tomorrow ne? ," said Jurina bowing a little and waved back at Rena as she walk back to her apartment.
Rena waved back at Jurina. She stand in front of her gate till Jurina was completely out of sight. She smiled as she enters her house. It was a really unexpected day, thought Rena. She decides that she should tell Churi and Airin sooner about her, suppose, secretly blooming friendship with Jurina. Later that night, she called Churi firsthand and told her from A to Z.
Jurina on the other hand, as usual, chilling in SNS , posted a picture of the strawberry and blueberry tea, she and Rena had earlier. With a cheesy caption saying, " Drinking this is better with someone by your side "
Jurina laughed at her own tweets as she looked back. Its true, she really had been tweeting a lot of stuff regarding to Rena. Her 'followers' were going frantic on finding out what's the main reason on Jurina being like this. Jurina then remembered Rena's twitter account which she gave her earlier at the chattime cafe. She clicked the 'follow' button as soon as she found Rena's twitter and to Jurina's embarassment, she saw Rena retweeted the picture Jurina recently post.
Jurina snuggled herself in her pillow, shrieking with excitement and embarassment at the same time. Well, her followers wont noticed what Rena retweet since, a lot of people retweet that picture. Just then when Jurina was changing in her pyjamas, a text came in and it was from Mayu.
" Ooooh, night date? Things got better huh? *o* "
" Well you can say that...but its not a date, silly. Its just a get-to-know conversation -_- "
" Oh yeah? Whatever. Tell me the whole story tomorrow."
" Whatever you wish~"
As Jurina makes herself comfortable in bed, she texted her first message to Rena.
' Oyasuminasa~i ^//^ '
As she pressed the ' sent ' button , she couldn't stay still. Eventhough it was just a goodnight message, why is Jurina getting so nervous on waiting her reply. After minutes passed by, Jurina thought Rena must have been sleeping already but then her phone buzzed, Jurina quickly slide open her phone.
'Jurina-san? Sorry I didnt noticed earlier. Oyasumi~sumi ^.^ '
Jurina smiled at the kawaii goodnight text she received. Her heartbeat is getting faster. Gosh , Jurina thought, in this rate I can't sleep. Jurina stared at that one reply message for quite a long time. When she saw the text, she even imagined asleep in a happy state.
The next morning at school, Jurina came early today since she wants to tell Mayuyu and Sae about her interesting night yesterday. Seriously Mayu and Sae were one of the great listeners. Always " Ooh " and " Ahh " at the right moment.
" By the looks of it, I think you should ask her out sooner or later, " said Sae, giving her point of view.
" Eeh?? ," said Jurina, feeling kinda shy, I mean, she really did like Rena, but, she wonders if Rena does feel the same way.
"Don't worry , said Mayu, as if reading Jurina's thought, " I'm sure she likes you too. "
"I think I'm 100% percent sure she likes you by the looks of it, " said Sae nudging Jurina and nodding at the girls who just walked in, heading to the locker room.
It was Rena and her two friends. Jurina noticed Rena was wearing her ....gloves !! Well Jurina's inside was doing an Irish leprechaun dance for sure. She split into a smile and Mayuyu suddenly waved her hands infront of her eyes.
" Wow.....day dreaming huh? You should really confess as soon as possible kiddo, " Mayu smirked and pulled Jurina's bag and half dragged her to class.
At class, during breaks, she kept thinking on ways to confess. Jurina received a lot of love confessions, but she herself, never confessed her feelings for anyone. I mean, why would she, since she doesn't feel the same way towards the other people confessing to her. All she ever did was politely decline them without trying to sound mean. What if she confessed to Rena and she'll did the same thing? Ughhhhh, Jurina's thoughts were scattering all over the place.
As usual, her bestfriends were mind-readers. Mayu then said, " Hey, why don't you confessed to her at a special place?"
" Special place?," asked a confused Jurina.
" Yeah, good idea," spoke out Sae in a thinking look, " How about you take her to a 'romantic' place? Or maybe, a peaceful place where both of you could enjoy the day together."
" Why does it sound like someone trying to propose a person to get married to them?," asked Jurina seeing the suggestions getting kinda weirder.
" Well, you are, trying to 'propose' her to be your girlfriend, right?" said Mayuyu while taking out her notes from her bag.
Girlfriend, thought Jurina. Well she knew it's impossible for her to have a boyfriend. Eventhough they were guys confessing they're love to her but her heart just doesn't tick on guys. She remember her mom used to tell stories about how she met her father. Jurina's mom said she feels butterflies in her stomach whenever she's around her dad. But Jurina thought about the guys out there, not even a single caterpillar was crawling in. But strangely for Rena, she felt the whole animal kingdom making a stampede in her stomach whenever she's around. Jurina smiled and took out a blueberry lollipop from her bag, she bought earlier before coming to school.
" You aren't going to confess with just a lollipop would you?," asked Sae looking a little taken aback.
" No way! , " denied Jurina, " I have other plans with this."
Sae shrugged off and open her notes. Jurina just smiled at Mayu, who's raising an eyebrow at her.

CHAPTER 8
RENA'S POV
Rena slowly massaged her temples. It's been almost an hour she and her classmates been solving a number of logarithms questions. She really hated this topic, no matter how hard she studied and practice this topic, she still won't really get it. Churi, sitting on her right, was grumbling while doing the questions. She kept erasing the wrong answers till her paper looks like tearing apart.
" I'm so done with this questions, " said Airin, laying her head on the desk.
" When's the bell gonna ring for heaven's sake," muttered Churi under her breath.
Luckily, a few minutes passed, their sensei told them to stop and gave another bunch of homework before letting them out to recess. All the students groaned when their sensei gave each of them another set of logarithms questions.
" I swear I can go crazy. Even the questions earlier he gave I cant even finish them yet, " said a disgruntled Rena, while the three of them walk out of their classroom towards the cafeteria.
" Rena-chan ! , " Airin suddenly nudged her hand, " Look who's walking infront of us."
Rena saw Jurina and her friends walking ahead of them at the opposite direction. Rena tried not to look at them and look straight ahead. Rena's heartbeat was steadily growing faster and faster as they approached. Suddenly, as if time was slowing down, when Jurina passed beside her, she felt a warm hand putting something in her palms. Their fingers slightly brushed each other. Rena quickly grab firmed the thing and walk ahead as usual. Churi and Airin didn't notice a thing, except they were giggling at the blushing Rena.
Rena quickly looked at thing she received. A blubbery flavour lollipop. Rena gripped firm of the lollipop and keep it in her blazer's pocket. She can't stop smiling even till they're settling down at the cafeteria bench. Her hands reaching in her pocket, she twirl and twirl the lolipop in her fingers. She slightly shivered at when she remember Jurina's warm hands brushing hers. Omg , why am I thinking like this, thought Rena, slapping both sides of her face.
Churi and Airin who saw this, just giggled and shooked their heads and continue eating. Rena who don't really have an apetite, decide to go outside for a walk, eventhough it was chilly outside. She wore back her gloves. Uh, Jurina's glove. She walked outside and saw the drinking vending machine. I could use with a hot cocoa, thought Rena. She fished out the 100yen coins and pushed it inside the coin sections. After receiving her hot cocoa, she went and sit at the bench near the tree. Quietly sipping her hot cocoa while enjoying the peaceful yet chilly environtment.
She then took out her bluberry lollipop and unwrapped it. Kyaaa, its been a long time since she ate a lollipop because she doesnt really eat sweets that often. The lollipop gave a certain kinda warmth when she placed it in her mouth. She stare above at the rooftop while sucking the lollipop. She wonders if Jurina and her friends were up there eventhough its cold outside. It looks as if God answered her questions, just then a head popped out and looked downwards. It was Jurina. She saw Jurina slightly waving at her, maybe because she was questioning whether to wave or not, since they agreed they wont really talk at school. But then Rena waved back. Jurina pointed at the lollipop from above and put a thumbs up, asking whether its good. Rena showed her a double thumbs up and smiled. Jurina smiled back, but then Mayu came and stared down wondering who the heck was Jurina making a sign language to.
Mayu smirked when she saw it was Rena. She turned back and patted Jurina's head, as if to say, good job girl. As they were smiling towards each other, then the bell rang, signaling for them to go back to class. She stood up from the bench, and looked up and waved at Jurina once again before running inside.
Everyday, there's always a special thing happens that only both of them knew. Like the other day, Rena was waiting for the train to go to school, Jurina was there too. They board the train together and even sat beside each other. They did talked for a while but they abruptly stop when some students from the same school walked in, but they still exchange glances though. Some nights, Jurina will text her almost midnight asking her whether she's asleep already or wishing her goodnight. If both of them was still wide awake, they'll text till its 2 in the morning. Churi and Airin knew about this, and everyday they will tell Rena to confess her feelings because they couldn't take the 'secret friendship' anymore. Rena admits, she really, really, like Jurina. But a part of her is still scared that Jurina wont feel the same way. And she's also scared on what the other students will think when they found out they're beloved senpai, going out with a nobody like her.
Than the day came when their school held the Annual Swimming Competition. Their rival would be the students from Shinji High. A crowd of supporters came and most of them were a large group of Jurina's fans. Churi and Airin didnt come since they already had a 'private date' between them, so Rena came with Yuria and Non. Well of course Rena came to support her swimming team, and ....Jurina too. Jurina's one of the ace line in her team. Their school supporters stands went crazy went their swimming team came out from the door ready in their trunks. They waved at the stands and Rena was half hoping Jurina noticed her but then, how can she noticed when these girls were probably making her attention the most.
The competition were pretty intense. The participants from Shinji High students were mostly males with bulkier body and they were putting on a fierce look on their faces. The crowds were cheering loudly when its finally Jurina's turn to swim as she was the the 4th and the last member in her team to swim for a 100meter distance. Since she was the ace, they put her in the last line to finish off. It was neck to neck between Jurina and the bulky guy she saw earlier. The crowds were shouting and cheering like frantic. Everybody stood up from their seats, even Rena, who was silently praying for Jurina to win. And finally, few seconds difference, Jurina reached the pavement first. The bulky guy punch the water out of frustration.
Rena and the whole crowd was jumping up and down. The swimming team members went and carry Jurina like a king. Jurina waved at everyone, she pulled out her head covered and her hair was looking like crazy but still very cool. Their swimming coach, Ms Shinoda came and hug Jurina and all the team members. After the trophy was given, soon everybody went down from the stands heading out from the pool room. Some still stay, trying to talk to the team members and Jurina. Yuria and Non ushered Rena and they slowly walk down the stands with the crowd. Rena spot Jurina who was being given a lot of gifts, and request on taking a picture with them. I can congratulate her later via text, thought Rena. But as she took a one last glance before leaving, her eyes and Jurina's met. Jurina smiled cheekily at her as if transmitting an eye-language saying 'Thank You for coming' , Rena smiled back and nodded before walking away.
Later that night, Rena took her first step and iniative to text Jurina around 10pm.
" Hey winner. Congrats ! "
" Geez thanks Rena-chan :D I'd wished we could talk earlier"
" Even if we could, wouldn't it be impossible with the people swarming at you?"
" Hehehe I guess so. Why? Are you jealous?"
Rena was half shocked at the reply Jurina sent. Probably teasing her but, really... jealous? Rena always tried to understand that Jurina is a respectable person in her school, plus with her good ikemen looks, she was loved by all. Rena just felt a little....quite not that lucky since she couldn't interact with Jurina easily. But thinking back, it was her who decided the-no-interaction at school.
" Eeh?? Yada..... "
"Wow...took you kinda long to answer that. Its ok I was just joking ^.^ "
" Un~ Aren't you tired?"
" Was but now.. not so. Rena-chan, are you free this Sunday?"
" Besides cleaning my room that day, nope I'm free. Why??"
" Cool ! Ano....... I was just wondering if you wanna go hiking with me?"
" Hiking? Where?"
" Mt Fuji of course ! But not all the way up! You know at the power station sight. A lot of tourists go there to and the elders. Its not so high but you can see Tokyo from above"
" Sounds great ! I'd love too ^_^ Is your friends coming along too?"
" Umm....no.. its just the two of first though."
Rena was glad it was just the two of them. Since she didnt wanna be in an awkward position with Jurina's friends. But she can't help on being shy and taken aback a little on Jurina's offer, but eitherway, she like it.
" Where should we meet and what time?"
" Same train station place as usual. I think we should go in the evening. Around 5pm?"
"Ok! I heard its a good scenery when the sky turns darker!"
" Yupp ! It is ! I've seen them once. Its beautiful. You'll like it."
They texted a little bit more and then later stopped since Rena told Jurina that she should rest and sleep now. As Rena was laying in her bed, she heard a door quietly snapped. Must be her aunt, thought Rena. She'll just ask for her permission tomorrow. Rena snuggled in her bed and wrapped herself in her warm quilt. Wondering how the hiking will turnout. Can't wait.

Rena woke up early this morning since she was feeling agitated and excited so she couldn't really sleep that well last night, thinking about the hiking thing with Jurina. Plus, she also wanted to ask her aunt's permission. It was half past eight and her aunt is off duty today. She quietly peered into her aunts room to see if she was sleeping but she's nowhere there. Plus, her bed still looks tidy and untouched.
Rena went downstairs and saw her aunt sprawling in the couch in front of the tv, still sleeping. There were 2 empty tins of beer at the table. Ugh, wonder why she's drinking again, thought Rena. Her aunt is the type of person who drinks a lot when she's either sad or depressed. Besides those two situation, she doesn't drink. Its best to not wake her up, thought Rena again.
Rena went to the kitchen and made breakfast. While she was making scrambling eggs, her aunt came to the kitchen, hair sticking everywhere with a sunken eye. Was she crying?, thought Rena again
" Ohayo Rena-chan !, " her aunt said in a cheerful tone, despite looking a little light headed.
" Ohayo! Ano, w-why did you drink last night??," ask Rena while she served the eggs in the two plates on the table.
" Well...lets just say I met someone who I havent seen for a long time," said her aunt shrugging off her shoulder and scooping on the eggs.
Rena thought that it must be someone whom her aunt doesnt want to discuss about yet so she asked,
"Ano....obachan..I have something to ask?"
" Mmm, what is it?"
" I'm going out with my friend later this evening, so...is it okay?"
Her aunt swallowed her food and drank some plain water before answering her question.
" Are you going out with that friend? The one you always walk back home from tuition with?"
"Eeeeeh...? H-How do you know her?," asked Rena, blushing.
Her aunt smiled looking how shy Rena was looking, " I saw you guys the other day while I was heading to the train station. You guys went to a cafe nearby."
Its true, she and Jurina did went to the chattime cafe for a while the other day. Ugh, didnt thought she would saw this, thought Rena.
" Why are you blushing? You like her?," teased her young aunt.
"Eeeeh?? W-What...What do you mean?"
"Hahaha its okay Rena-chan, you can go. At least dont come back home after midnight okay?"
"Un....... arigatou"
As Rena was going to walk out of the kitchen, she stopped in her tracks when her aunt called her again. Her aunt was still facing the other way while talking to her.
" If you have something to say to your 'friend' later, don't hesitate about it. Just go with it. Ignore what's gonna happen later. You only have one chance, right?"
" Oba-chan......."
Her aunt turned to faced her and said, " Don't be like me. I didnt told my feelings to a person I like and that person just drift away. Its the pain you have to bear till now if you dont let it out."
Rena stared at her aunt for a moment, then nodded before going back upstairs to shower. Her aunts words playing in her mind.
Jurina was already at the train station. She arrived slightly early because she doesn't want to be late on their first ' outing ' together. She clutched her bagpack straps on both side. Looking down and checking her phone once in a while. While she was staring at the pass by train, someone tapped her from behind. She turned to look at a girl she's been waiting. Dress in a simple brown coat, with the same backpack colour as Jurina. Jurina split into a smile as she saw the girl shyly beaming at her.
" Was I late?," asked Rena, checking her watch.
" Yada.... I was early, " said Jurina, " I was too excited, so I k-kinda came early hehehe"
" Sou desu ne....," nodded Rena.
Then suddenly, Jurina grabbed Rena's hand as a train was going to stop in front of them. Rena felt a tingling sensation in her stomach. Jurina's warm hand gripping hers, make her feel save. Jurina on the other hand was also nervous on gripping Rena's hand suddenly, but it made her heart almost burst when she felt Rena gripped her hand back as they run in the train.
They found seats and they sat quietly for a while. Hands still gripping. But then Jurina, slightly let go of Rena's hand, afraid that Rena wasn't comfortable. As Jurina let go of Rena's left hand, Rena was a little let down, since she kinda like the feels of someone holding her hand. Someone like Jurina. They sat in silence for a while but then Rena asked
" Umm, when was the last time you went to Mt Fuji?"
Jurina recalled back when and replied, " It was early this year I think? I went there with my cousins. You haven't been near the power station once?"
Rena shooked her head. " Since I just moved to Tokyo, I didnt do some sight-seeing that much."
"Oh, then I'll be your personal tour-guide eh ?," said Jurina, chuckling when she saw Rena blushing.
They arrived at the train station nearest Mt Fuji. The weather there was more colder but Rena didnt feel that cold at that time. To be honest, she felt more warmth right now. They walked at the streets leading to Mt Fuji. There were a lot of people walking in the same way too, but mostly it was couples. The couple walking infront of them were being so cheesy while walking, Jurina and Rena looked at each other and stiffled a giggle. They bought melonpan and several sweets on their way up.
The walking towards to the power station was no joke. Eventhough it was only at the first point, and not all the way up Mt Fuji, the road was quickly ascending and soon Rena was a little out of breath. But being beside Jurina, she tried to maintained her situation. Despite that, Jurina frequently asked Rena whether she's tired or not, if then, they could just rest for a while. But Rena said she was okay, so they slowly continued. There were elders going there too. Some were even jogging going up, eventhough they're old.
" I hope I could jog like that when I'm that old, " said Jurina staring at the elder.
" I hope so. I dont think I can, when I'm even panting right now, " laughed Rena.
Finally they reached at the first point. The power station. Eventhough it isnt the highest peak, its still a huge place and by the time they reached that place. It was already dark. They rushed to the huge porch overviewing Tokyo. It was a beauty. Undescribable. The lights everywhere and tiny cars moving.
" Beautiful isn't it?," said Jurina, beaming while she was looking at the awestruck Rena.
Rena nodded. " This is the first time Ive been at a place this high, and viewing such a view! "
" Yeap, " agreed Jurina, while she took a picture of the breathing city lights of Tokyo from above.
Rena then did the same thing and both of them took solo pictures with their own camera with the background of the view. Then they took a picture together. Their first picture together. Jurina stared at the picture for a while, seeing how good they look together, despite both of them being kinda shy at first. Jurina then ushered Rena to sit under the bench at the furthest shady tree. Eventhough its the furthest, they still can outlook the epic view infront of them. Its a lot more quieter at this side. After they ate their snacks and chattered for a while, Rena said,
" I'm very happy that I get to see this kind of view. Thank you Jurina,"
Jurina flinched when Rena called her by the name and dropping the honorifics.
" I'm happy that you're happy. Eventhough this was my 2nd time here, I feel like its the first time."
" Eeeh? Why? Is it a different view from before?"
" Slightly? There's two amazing views this time. I'm going crazy on deciding which one to look at more.."
Jurina then turned to look at Rena. She gulped on thinking the 'thing' she was about to say. She slowly reached out for Rena's hand and said,
" Rena-chan, do you remember the first time we had an actual conversation? I kinda think, from that moment onwards, I kinda l-like you? But you know, after days passed, and we eventually meet each other quite often, t-this feelings, inside me, I dont know how to explain b-but, I think I'm really really into you. To be honest, I never dated anyone before, because I havent felt this kind of feelings towards anyone. But every, every single time I saw you, this might sounds kinda cheesy, but yeah, my heart is beating like crazy and sometimes I couldnt even think straight. I dont know whats gonna happen next, but I just want you to know that I really like you. A lot."
Rena was lost for words for a moment, processing the confession she just received and feeling the warmth hands gripping hers. Jurina slowly slipped away her hand, looking a little down since Rena didnt uttered a word yet, but Rena caught it back.
" I like you a lot too. I really really like you too. Its j-just that I never liked anyone before too and I'm confused at my feelings at first. I mean, of all people, why do you like me? Why not Annin? Why not the girls out there who knows every single thing about you. But then those kind of feelings slowly faltered. They just did and I dont know why. I'm also half regreting on the 'no-communication' rule I made between us. I mean, I really really like talking to you and spending time with y--"
Suddenly a warmth lips captured Rena's slightly cold lips. It was a warmth and a sweet kiss. Not because they just ate some sweets earlier, but the sweetness, its a different kinda feel. Their fingers slowly interwine each other. Every muscle and bones in Rena felt like its melting from the kiss. They both finally stopped the kiss when they need to breathe. Their foreheads connecting to each other, panting. Rena was still half suprised but she merge a smile when Jurina was beaming again with that super cute smile.
