There once was a legend of a powerful force that invaded the land. Everything in existence fell to the dark side. But only a small number were immune to the darkness. Until the war that destroyed everything.
“No! Please, don’t do this!”
“I’m sorry, this is what I have to do.”
The male stepped forward, before being enveloped by blinding light.
Afterwards, light came back to the world, with everyone regaining their smiles and happiness.
At the same time, the other valiant heroes took time to remember their fallen comrade, who sacrificed his life for all the people.

I might as well put some of the characters & their classes~ I will explain each class as well~

Kashiwagi Yuki = Dual Blade
As you'd expect, Yukirin will be using two weapons. The Dual Blade Class is a branch off the Thief Class, as with the Night Walker (Churi).
The Dual Blade is a branch of the Thief class, yet highly separated and identified by their flashy, quick, stabbing and slashing skills.
Watanabe Mayu = Xenon
The Xenon Class is a bit special, compared to the other classes I will be swiftly mentioning. Mayuyu will ofc be a cyborg, but she will have the equips of a Pirate (Jun & Yuria) and a Thief (Churi & Yukirin)
Xenon is a cyborg who had been under control by Gelimer but has defected and joined the Resistance at Edelstein.
One is that he is the first hybrid job, allowing him to not only wear Thief equipment, but Pirate equipment as well.
Matsui Jun = Thunder Breaker
As aforementioned, Thunder Breakers are basically Pirates~ Thunder Breakers are apart of the Cygnus Knights.
Thunder Breakers are the Pirate counterparts of the Cygnus Knights, commanded by Neinheart and instructed by the Chief Knight Hawkeye.
Matsui Rena = Flame Wizard
Flame Wizards are the Mage counterparts of the Cygnus Knights~
Watanabe Miyuki = Wind Archer
For Milky, I kinda got this idea whilst commenting on Misaki Shishido's fanfic, Indestructible Fire. But Wind Archers, are ofc, the Bowman counterparts to the Cygnus Knights
Yamamoto Sayu = Kaizer
Kaizer is a class that is a Warrior "Nova" class, which means that Sayanee will be half dragon in this fic~
Kaiser, the Protector of the Dragons, is the Warrior variation of the Nova class. Being a part of the Nova race, means that he is half dragon.

Are you planning on finishing all the other stories you've started?
Because I see you starting a new story almost every week, so I'm getting a bit worried... Don't you think you should maybe focus on story at a time? :nervous

It is GB but Mayu isn't a guy (Gomen) but male Dual Blades are cooler~ ;)

Yuki’s POV
Being the Dark Lord means that I have to be isolated from society. But that doesn’t mean I’m evil. Everyday, I lurk in the shadows, searching for the enemy. I use my katanas to deal fatal blows to them, blood splattering everywhere. My father was my predecessor, but I know I still have a lot to improve upon.
As I travelled to Edelstein from Kerning City, I discovered something strange… The Cygnus Knights were here. I wonder why?
“Furukawa-kun! Look who it is! It’s my comrade in the Dark Arts!”
“‘Sup, Takayanagi? Why are you lot here?”
“We were just investigating Von Leon and how he went to the Black Mage. I could ask the same with you~”
“Well… I was told that Gelimer was keeping more experiments so I had to investigate.”
“Ah~ We’ll help you then!”
“No need. I’ll be fine on my own, thank you guys though.”
“I’ll go with you!!!”
“Ugh~ Fine, I’ll bring her back for you.”
We separated, with Takayanagi by my side.
“So...”
“Yeah?”
“Since you’re the king of stealth.. What would you say I need to improve on?”
“Eh? Let’s just see when we get into battle, my friend.”
As we walked to the lab, I saw some test tubes through the window. One of them revealed someone I treasured for years.
“N-No… M-M…. Mayu...”
“What?”
As she said this, she saw a dark aura around me, realising I had her specialist ability, Dominion.
“Sugoi… So this is the true power of the Dark Lord….”
“She’s important to me…. Too important….”
“What happened? I mean, did you live in Edelstein?”
“It’s truly a long story….”

Flashback
“Yuki-kun, what do you think of life?”
“What do I think of it? Pffft! I think life’s a whole bunch of bullshit!”
“Really?”
“Eh… Oi, what’s up with you? You seem different...”
“Yuki-kun...Why do you think that, though?”
“Well… I think it’s because everyone who doesn’t have a ‘class’ are looked down on, I don’t want to do that. Though I’m now apart of the hierarchy, I want to be fair.”
“Can I ask you something else?”
“Huh?”
“Do you think I’m bullshit?”
“Eh?”
“What am I to you? What do you think of me?”
“I… ” I looked down, hesitating to tell the truth, “You are much more to me.”
“Eh?”
“You heard me, Mayu.”
“What do you mean?”
“I love you. I don’t know how many times I can say this but I will if I have to.”

“Yuki-kun…”
“I-I don’t know how to say this…. But….”
“But?”
“I’m moving.”
“Eh?! Where?”
“Kerning City. You know my father’s job-”
“Oh… right… I’m going to miss you.. Yuki.”
My heart jumped a bit. It was the first time she said my name without an honorific.
“Mayu... ”
“I feel the same. Nothing can make me do anything to you...”
Again, my heart jumped. I couldn’t take my eyes off her...
“I can’t live without you, Yuki.” She hugged me, making me feel a sense of warm also making me feel special.
“Mayu, I...”
“Don’t say anything, I understand everything.”
End Flashback
I clenched my hands into fists.
“Akane… What must be done, needs to be done… Eh?”
But before we could rush, something happened. Takayanagi was gone, nowhere in the vicinity.
“Spiraling Vortex!”
“Moon Dancer!”
Eh? How…?
From what I could see, Miyuki shot an arrow, making it spiraled whilst Akiro‘s sword became brighter, making more power. Both of them were attacking the test chambers.
Might as well make my appearance then. I burst through the window, before making my move.
“Blade Fury! Final Cut!”
I know, I know, using Final Cut was a risky move. I uses most of my energy, on occasion, all of it so I had to be careful when using it. Those moves broke all of the test chambers.
“M-Mayu… Please… Remember me….”
I felt so fatigued, my legs couldn’t take my weight anymore.
“Now, now, Kashiwagi-kun. No time to rest, if you want Mayu back.”
“Ugh… P-Phantom…. Blow-”
Before I could use it, Akane uses herself a shield for me.
“Get her out of here while you can, Yuki-kun.”
“Ha! Come now, my subjects.”
“Y-Yuki…-kun…. Help… me...”
“Mayu….”

“So you’re asking me to kill you, Takayanagi?”[/i]
“Go ahead.”
I taunted him as he took out a dagger and as he was about to strike me with it, Akiro pushed me away.
“Akiro!”
“Argh!”
I rushed towards him, considering the fact that he had a dagger in his torso.
“Akiro, you alright?!”
“....”
“Akiro!”
He seemed like he wasn’t breathing, he was unconscious too. I then I heard a voice behind me.
“Excuse me, but do you need any extra assistance?”
“E-eh?”
I looked up and saw someone… Someone of the Nova race, which means that they’re half dragon.
“Yamamoto Sayu, at your service. Once the General of the Nova army.”
“What are you doing here?”
“A friend of mine had requested my help.”
“W-Who?”
“Watanabe Miyuki, leader of the Wind Archers.”
“EH?!”
Now this is surprising...

Like... one side it's Yuki's story and the other side it's Akane's story? It feels like a sudden change just occurred that got me a tad bit confused :nervous

“Takayanagi-chan, I’ll need your help in this.”
“Eh?”
“Help Akiro. I’ll help Miyuki distract Gelimer.”
“Un.”
This is gonna be tricky, but I’m sure it’ll work out fine...
Meanwhile
Yuki’s POV
“Yuki…-kun...”
“M-Mayu… I‘m coming for you!”
I couldn’t take the pain of Final Cut anymore, it’s a dangerous move that could kill people.
“Yuki-kun!”
“Eh? Sayu?”
“Go get Mayu, me and Miyuki will distract Gelimer!”
“O-oh, okay!”
“Gigas Wave!”
“Trifling Wind!”
They used their skills, which meant there was a clear opening for me to get her out of there.
“Haha!”
“Yuki-kun!!”
“Please...Take this pain away from me….Mayu...”
“Orbital Cataclysm!”
Eh? Orbital Cataclysm from what I heard sends down a laser…. Which is what exactly happened...
“Mayu!!!”
“....”
I saw her collapse, lifelessly down to the floor.
“No! Mayu!”
“Another defected unit...Argh, better luck next time eh~”
Before we could do anything, a cloud of smoke erupted from where he was, signifying that he escaped.
“Mayu… wake up, please..! Please!”
“....mm...” I saw her eyes open slightly and she turned to look at me. “..Yu...ki….”
“Mayu..!” Though I could still feel some pain, I ignored it. She was more important to me.
“Yuki...”
“Umm?”
“Thank you. For coming back.”
“Yuki-kun! We’d have to get back to Erev, asap. Akiro lost quite a bit of blood!”
Thanks a lot Akane, you interrupted our lovey dovey time~ So much for a romantic reunion.
“‘Kay! I’ll see ‘ya later then!”
“Yuki… You seem like you’re in… Pain...”
“I’m fine, I should worry about yourself more than worrying about me….. Ow!”
“Yuki..!”
“D-don’t worry… I’m okay.. as long as.. I have you… Mayu….”
“YUKI!!!” Slowly, my world went black…

Mayu… Mayu, where are you?
“Yuki… please, open your eyes..!”
Mayu…. I can feel you here, beside me… Your warmth….
“Yuki, please! I need you!”
I need you, too.
My eyes slowly opened and I saw Mayu’s face. “..Mm… M-Ma..yu…”
“Yuki!” She hugged me tight, crying, “I-I thought, you were going to die...”
“Mayu...”
“Thank God… Thank God you’re okay.”
I slowly got up, holding my chest. I saw the upper half of my body was mostly wrapped in bandages.
“W-what happened?”
“Don’t you remember? You were almost killed!”
“Eh? How?”
Just then, I felt a pain at my head. I remember everything now…
Flashback
“Yuki!!!!!”
I couldn’t feel or see anything… Everything seemed… Empty…
“Mayu, please, don’t leave me.”
“YUKI, NO!!!!!”
Then, I felt incredible pain.
“M-Mayu...”
I dropped to my knees in pain. I gave in. Gave into the devil, slowly pulling me to hell.
Flashback End.
“Mayu...”
“Are you okay?”
“Y-yeah...”
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
“Eh? Come in!”
The door opened slightly to reveal Akane, Akiro and Milky.
“Hey, Yuki. You alright?”
“You...”
“So, how’s the dark prince~” Milky said jokingly.
“Oi, Milky, now’s not the time for those jokes.”
“Men-go, men-go~”
“I should ask the same thing to Akiro~”
“The pain isn’t going away, but I’d be fine~ You suffered more than I did.”
“Sou ka…”
“My Blue Dragon Armor got ripped to shreds though….”
“Same with my Raven Horn Chaser Armor...”
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
“Come in?”
“Yuki… Long time no see.”
“O-Otou-san?!”
“I’m sorry about what happened….”
“E-Eh? It’s not your fault, really! You just… lost control, was all.”
“I know. But, because of me...”
“Otou-san….Please, don’t blame yourself...”
“Yuki… I have to warn you.”
“Eh?”
“There will come a day when I will no longer be able to regain control of myself anymore… and the same will happen to you.”
“..Wh-what?”
“The darkness inside you will take over and hurt the ones closest to you.”
“Mayu… No, I would never--”
“It will happen. You think you can stop it, but you can’t. The Dark Mage will come, come to destroy us all.”
“No… No, I won’t hurt Mayu! I swear!”
Just then, my father pulled me closer and whispered in my ear.
“I felt the same about your mother, but I had to let her go… You should do the same before it’s too late.”
“Let her…. no. No, I can’t do that. Anything but--”
“Yuki...” He looked at me with sincere eyes. “You have to let her go… before you kill her.”
No… Of all things… not that.
“Yuki?”
“Mayu, I...”
“Please, excuse me.” My father left the room, the others following, leaving me and Mayu alone.
“Mayu… What he said, it’s--”
She suddenly hugged me, placing her head on my shoulder.
“I don’t want to think about it, Yuki.”
“But...”
“Yuki, it’s been years since I last saw you. I don’t want to lose you again.”
“...”
“I don’t care what happens to me. I’m going to always stay by your side and help you overcome this. I will dispel the darkness, and I’ll save you. Then the two of us can be together...”
“...You’re right. We can be together.”
“Un. We’ll go on dates together, then later we can get married and grow old together. We won’t have anyone else, it’ll just be the two of us. We won’t have to worry about anything anymore and we’ll live happily ever after...”
I raised my hand over her head.
I’m sorry… Mayu.
“Dark Magic: Memory Erasing Spell.”
I’m sorry… but… if I have to do this to save her… save her from me… then I must.
I’ll make her forget everything… about me.
About us.
“Goodbye… Mayu.”

Mayu’s POV
“Mayuyu~”
“Eh? Jun, is that you?”
“Hisashiburi~ Chuu~”
Since I moved to Erev, everything seemed a lot better. I met Matsui Jun, the leader of the Thunder Breakers. We’re now dating, but I feel something else is missing…
“Mou~ Jun-kun, you kissing monster.”
He gave me a wink along with sticking his tongue out at me, giggling with his cat-like smile.
“Where have you been? Another mission?”
“Uh-uh. I was just on another patrol with Akiro and Akane~”
“How did it go?”
“Well...” He put down his sword on the table and looked at me with an excited light in his eyes. “I think we may have found it.”
“Eh?”
“It.”
My eyes widened, realizing what he meant. “No way...”
“Yes way! The nest of the Dark Mage!”
“How? I mean, isn’t it meant to be scarce?”
“Yeah, but...” Jun pulled out his map and laid it in front of us. “Over here.”
“What’s that?”
“This castle… belongs to none other than the Dark Lord.”
“The Dark Lord?”
“He’s this really evil guy who’s been controlling all the innocent monsters out there.”
“This guy..?”
“No one knows who or what he really is. He never leaves the castle except only at night, as one person saw him in his garden during the night of the Blood Moon Festival.”
“But, why would he do this?”
“Not sure. But this guy is truly the reason we found the nest. We think he’s trying to open a gate to the Underworld, so he’s waking up the Dark Mage.”
If this is true, then that means we have the opportunity to obtain…
“Ah!” I suddenly felt pain in my head.
“Are you okay?”
“Ah, yes. Just another migraine.”
“Umm… I swear you’ve been having those non-stop, Mayu. Are you sure, you’re fine?”
“Yes. Don’t worry, Jun.” I said reassuringly and kissed his cheek.
He isn’t wrong, though. I’ve had these headaches for as long as I can remember, but for some reason, this one seemed stronger than normal…
When did it happen again? Hm, I’m 20 now, and it started around when I turned 16… so, about four years ago. What could’ve happened back then?
“Well, if you insist...” He turned around, picked up his sword and spoke softly into my ear, “I’ll be off, if you need anything just tell Miyuki.”
“Okay.”

Yuki’s POV
How long has it been now… 4 years?
I’ve already lost track.
I was just in the hideout, thinking about Mayu… I wonder what she’s up to now.
“My Lord.”
“What?”
“W-Well… The Cygnus Knights have located his lair, sir...”
“Eh? How interesting...Send a message to Furukawa, saying that I want to assist them.”
“Yes, my Lord.”

Jun’s POV
“Mayuyu…. I wonder if she’s okay.”
I clearly remember the day I first met Mayu. It was love at first sight. She was travelling from Edelstein, it seemed. She came to me for a mission, to find out the dark force that was attacking this world.
But that thought was quickly interrupted by the sound of footsteps. I quickly grew suspicious and got my sword and knuckle weapon ready, before hearing knocking coming from the other side of the door.
“Come in!”
“Yo, Jun!”
“Eh? Akiro?”
“Yup~”
“So-”
“It’s about Mayu. She’s collapsed, no-one seems to know why. Akane and Milky brought her to the medic.”
“What?!”
“She just suddenly had another one of her headaches, but she seemed to be taking it hard. She started freaking out and finally passed out. She was muttering someone’s name even after losing consciousness….”
“Who?”
“Yuki. That’s all.”
Someone named Yuki… who could that be?

Akiro's POV
Earlier…
“Churi! Milky!” Me and Mayu approached the two girls. We got the location from Jun about where to investigate.
“There you guys are, finally.”
“Sorry.”
“Mayu~ How is my cute little sister~?”
“Mou~ Miyuki-onee-chan!”
“So, what’s this thing about a giant castle?”
“Jun said that the Dark Lord was trying to open the Gate to the Underworld, so we need to find him and invade his castle.”
Miyuki shuddered.
“That guy sounds creepy~”
“I think so too, but we have to ignore that. Where did you guys say the nest was?”
“Over here.” I lead the way to where the nest of the Dark Mage was resting. The whole place was completely grey and desolate.
At the center of the large, crater-like valley was a giant black pod, vines spread across the ground.
“That’s where the Dark Mage is sleeping?”
“I guess it is… Rumor has it she’s been encased in that hump of rock for a millenium.”
“Why would the Dark Lord want a million year old fossil?”
“Our ancestors sealed away her and her dark power so that she wouldn’t escape.”
I looked and saw Mayu looking down at the dark crater. Her breathing increased as she backed away from the edge.
“Mayu?”
“What’s wrong, little sis?”
“I-I...”
She suddenly screamed in pain and held her head, falling to the ground. We all tried to calm her down, but she kept screaming and freaking out, trying to escape.
“Mayu, STOP!!!”
“NOOOOO!!!!”
With that final scream, she lost consciousness and fainted on the ground. I picked her up and saw tears running down her eyes.
What is going on..?
“Sis! Hey, sis! Wake up!” Miyuki screamed, trying to wake her up.
“C’mon, this is no time for fooling around!”
“Mayu.”
I heard her murmuring something and went closer to hear what she was saying…
“..Y-Yu.. ki...”
Yuki? Who is that?
“Take her to the medic.” I told the girls, who were putting her in their arms. “I’ll find Jun.”
Flashback End
“So, this ‘Yuki’ person… Mayu knows him?”
“Apparently.”
“Do you know him?”
“No. I don’t know anyone specific she could’ve been talking about.”
“Hmm… what if.. it was her ex?”
“T-That can’t be possible, would it?!”
While we were talking, I heard a knock on the door.
“Come in!”
No one came in.
We both walked to the door and opened it. No one was there. There was only a black envelope at the foot of the doorstep.
“What the..?” I picked it up, opening it.
“Who is it from?”
“Doesn’t say.”
I unfolded the paper and read the writing.
“-To Furukawa Akiro,
It’s time to wake up.”
What?
I looked at the bottom of the paper and saw a symbol that looked like a red rose. I touched it…
“Yuki!!!”
“GAAAH!!!”
What is this..? This pain… it’s too much!
“Furukawa, you are my most trusted warrior.”

We both opened them up, but they said the same thing.

Coming out from the kitchen was a young girl. She had brown hair and was wearing a priestess outfit, a cross necklace dangling from her neck.
“Are you… the Angel Whisperer?”
“Yes.”
So, this is Zwei Wings…
“My name is Haruka. Is there any business you all need?”
“Um, yes, actually, there is. It’s about our friend,” Akiro said, pointing to Rena.
Haruka nodded. “We’ll discuss over tea.”
“Uh, alright...”
We all sat in the living room as she brought out a tray of tea and some cookies.
“Now, why have you come to see me?”
“Well… Mihile told--”
“Mihile? A long time since I’ve last heard that name. Are you one of his descendants?”
“Yes. He’s my ancestor.”
“I see. So, what did he say?”
“A Flame Demon is possessing her… Uh, Rena.” Akane pointed over to the unconscious girl. “We need to get the demon out of her body, and Mihile said that you could do it.”

Her body suddenly convulsed and she screamed in pain as Haruka attempted to rip the demon out of her body.
“Keep her down!”
Both Akane and I grabbed Rena’s body and kept her down as Haruka continued her ritual.
“Piombo sua anima dal buio. La condurrò nel tua luce Santo. (Lead her soul out of the darkness. Bring her into your Holy light.)”
Rena, please! Come back to me!
“H-How much longer, Haruka-san?! Please tell us it’s not gonna be much longer?!”

“Demon, I exorcise thee!”
Rena screamed out, her voice roaring as the dark aura was pulled out of her body. I shut my eyes as she thrashed about, trying to break free.
With one last scream, the darkness surrounding her left her body completely and she passed out.
“Would she be okay?”
“Yes… she’ll be out for a while, but she’s safe now.”

“The Flame Wizard… Oz.”
“Shimazaki Haruka… no, Zwei Wings. You have been interfering with us demons for too long.”
He was about to attack, but she pushed him to the wall with an incredible force.
“By God’s light… return to the abyss of Hell!”
“GAAAAAAAAH!!!!”
The demon was dispersed into darkness, disappearing forever.
“He’s gone...”
I looked down at Rena. There were tears running down her eyes.
“Rena...”
“Do you need some time alone, Jun?”
I nodded. Tears were on the verge of flowing out of my eyes.

The others left me alone with Rena. I just sat there by her side as she slept, peacefully. Beautifully.

She handed me the glass vial and with instinct, I tried to make him drink it.

“W-Who are you?” I stuttered, worried for him.
“I am someone you might remember, years ago.”
“Gelimer?! What are you doing in his body?!”

He grabbed my neck and started choking me.

“Hehe, just as weak as we last met, I see. You never change. You were always a crybaby, a weakling. Even now, you don’t have the strength to protect your dear Akiro.”

“Akane…. She...” She was on the verge of tears, what is going on?
“She was worried sick for you. So…. She made Gelimer’s spirit transfer to her body for your safety...”
“Wait… WHAT?!”
“Un...She tried to do everything before she did that.”

I held my head, fighting my tears.

The door was opened, revealing a very fatigued messenger.

I felt a sudden pain in my body again. I was changing again. I saw my nails grow long and black and felt fangs growing in my mouth.
I screamed, but it came out a loud, monstrous roar.

“This is the consequences of resisting the darkness, Akane.”

“You are Black Wings. You can’t change fate, now.”

I hear a figure walking towards us. He stepped out of the darkness as the light of the fire revealed his face.
“Sayu!” I ran up to hug him, “I....I missed you, I was worried about you…!”
As I hugged him, he flinched in pain.
“M-Miyuki...”
“What happened?”
“She… She killed otou-san…. She also put an orb inside me… Argh~”
“What?”
“The orb…. it’s inside me… Ah!” He suddenly fell to his knees, clutching his chest in pain.
Mayu laid him down and lifted his shirt up, revealing dark, black veins all centered at his chest.
“What is this madness?”
“The orb of Ultimate Destruction,” Akiro said as he walked towards us, “It slowly makes you insane… Suicidal even.”
“No! Sayu, please, please don’t!”
“Miyuki, calm down. He’ll be fine, we just need to get it out of him.”
“How?!”
“I’ll consult Mihile about it. Even before we joined the Cygnus Knights, me and Akane experienced things like this as Bounty Hunters.”

The air feels fresh…. Why is the world like this…..?
As I parkoured through the many buildings, I felt a strange atmosphere. One that I never felt before. As I turned around, I saw nothing, but felt a breeze behind me.
I turned around again, and that’s when I saw her. At first I thought she was one of those pirates from Nautilus Harbour, just because she had a bird on her shoulder.
“W-Who are you?! I demand to know!”
She turned and looked at me. When I saw those eyes full of innocence and light, I stood silent.
“Oh, hi.”
“Uh… h-hi.”
“Sorry for intruding, if that was the case.”
“N-N-No… It’s good. I just want to know who you are, is all.”
“Oh, I’m Takayanagi Akane. By the way, I’m not a pirate. I’m just a thief who likes birds~ See? This is Papitan~”
Her bird instantly squawked at me, when it heard it’s name.
“I see. Who knew thieves could have birds~”
“I know, it’s not ordinary to see my family with birds. I’m the only one who even likes birds.”
“Well, I don’t see anything wrong with that.” I raised my hand and gently petted the bird. “Hello, Papitan.”
It squawked at me again, before pecking my hand.
“Can you introduce yourself, good sir?”
“Ah, yes. I’m Akiro. Furukawa Akiro.”
“You’re from that long line of warriors, aren’t you? I’m honored to meet you.”
“Don’t be. I’ve run away from that life, it’s why I’m here as a bounty hunter.”
“Hee~ well, I still like you. You seem really nice.”
“Oh, thanks. You’re pretty cute for a thief.”
She laughed as a reply, blushing a bit.
“Anyway, I better---”
“Come with me, Akane.”
“E-Eh?!”
I held out my hand. “I want you… to come with me. I want you to be free. I want you to see the world through my eyes.”

I showed her the way to my underground home, which was fairly large, but big enough for me and another person.
“Wow….” She looked at a grand piano that was there, tucked in the corner of the lounge, “Can you play?”
“Y-Yeah… Do you want me to play something?” I saw her and Papi-tan nod their heads in synchronisation.
So, I walked up to the piano, sat down, and prepared to play.

“There’s been several strange occurrences, not just here, but in some of the other villages. Unexplained murders, people disappearing without a trace, mysterious earthquakes and other natural disasters. I believe they’re all centered on one person.”
“Who?”
“The Dark Mage.”
“I-I thought she was a myth...”
“No, she’s real. I have a friend who can probably help us. He’s dealt with these kind of things before.”
“Really?!”
“Sure. If you’re willing to go along for the ride. Are you?”

“Well, best be heading off now.”

“Kerning City, I’m sure we’ll be there by sunset.”

Once we got there, we searched for a mansion-like building. We found the large mansion in the center of Kerning City, and when we first walked in, Akane was instantly breathtaken by the fancy interior.
“Holy cow. This guy must be rich or something! Is he royalty?!” she said excitedly.
“Mm… something like that.”
“Akiro?” A voice rose as I saw him walking down the main stairway.
“Ah, Yuki. Just the person I needed to see,” I replied, “It’s about everything that’s been going on.”
“What about it?”
“I think it all has to do with the Dark Mage. I brought along a friend to help.”
“Oh, that would be me. I’m Takayanagi Akane. And this lil’ fella is Papitan~. Say hi, Papitan.”
The bird squaked as a reply. An even louder reply came as a crow flew over and rested on Yuki’s shoulder.
“Hey, what was that?! That’s rude!” Akane said, angrily.
Can she talk to birds?
The crow kept quiet as if it was being scolded.
“I guess you like birds, Akane. If so, I’m sorry about this guy, he can appear randomly.”
“Hehe, I do.”
“Anyway, why do you think it has anything to do with her?”
“It seems unlikely that any of the townspeople would kill their own friends, in one sense.”
“Umm...” Akane spoke up. “I’m still a bit confused, so can you explain what this is all about?”
“Well, lately in the area, a lot of strange events have occurred, even me and Akiro don’t know how they happened. It honestly is strange. One time, I was scouting the city, I saw this man bleeding to death and no-one was there, no weapons, no nothing.”
Then we heard a shout. What in the world…?
I rushed outside to find an innocent woman.
“Help me…. Help me, sir.”
“Let me see your wound, madam.”
She showed us a stab wound right in her abdomen.
“How did this happen?”
“I was just walking around town, when this blur came straight past me. Before I knew it, I was here in a lot of pain.”
“I knew it….”
“W-w-w-what do we do?!” Akane said in a panic.
“It’ll be risky, but I have a plan. It’ll involve a decoy,” I replied as I turned to face her, “Sorry, Akane.”
“E-EH?! Why me?!”
“Don’t worry. I promise I’ll protect you.”

Later that night, we set something up.
“Okay…. Now it just got ten times creepier.”
“Just act naturally.”
Akane looked around and just started walking. She was wobbling a bit, pretending to act drunk.
We followed her and waited until we saw a large man suddenly came up to her.
“Hey, what’re you doing out here so late, hon?” He said with a dirty grin, pushing her against the wall.
“You sure this’ll work?” I asked Yuki.
“Yes. The Dark Mage normally possesses people who have darkness clouding their heart.”
He licked his lips as he pulled out a knife and started cutting the fabric of Akane’s shirt, revealing her chest.
“Looks like tonight’s my lucky night.”
Then, I saw a dark shadow behind him. It went into his body, possessing his soul.
“Hehehe… You look so delicious~.”
“That’s our cue.”
We rushed in to grab the man before he could do anything more to Akane.
“So you two were trying to get at me, eh?”
As he/it said this, I felt myself being lifted. I could see her cowering in fear behind him.
“P-P-Please… Help me Akiro…!”
“I will, don’t worry.”
I mustered up the courage to kick him in the guts, freeing me and Yuki.
“Yuki, do your thing, I’m going to get Akane.”
“Sure thing.”
As Yuki tranquilised him to exorcise the demon, I rushed up to Akane, who was shriveled in fright.
“Akiro….”
“Don’t worry. I’m here now.”
She started crying and hugged me. I guess sometimes, everyone needs to let everything go.
“I can’t do anything….”
“No, you managed to help us get the culprit. It happened to be the Dark Mage’s minons.”
“But--”
“No buts. I’m thankful you came into my life. I’m thankful that you accepted me for who I truly am.”
“....”
“You might think I’m lying but what I’m saying is true.”
“Akiro… Thanks for everything. Your hospitality, your kindness. Everything about you I thank because without you, I don’t think I would’ve survived by myself.”
Papi-tan was flying around, signifying that something was wrong.
“Akane… Do you know what’s wrong with Papi-tan?”
“Papi-tan, come here,” she said, holding out her hand, and he obediently came. “What’s going on?”
She brought him up to her ear and listened to him. Looks like she really is able to talk to birds.
“No way...”
“What?”
“Papi-tan says… Something’s wrong with Yuki.”
“What?!”
Then, that same crow from earlier flew past again. Funnily enough, he flew to Akane’s shoulder and her eyes became wider.
“Nani? EH?!”
“What?”
“He said there were these weird, black marks starting to cover Yuki’s body. He said they were the marks of the Dark Mage.”
“Oh no...”
I knew this would happen. From the moment he told me that he was the Dark Lord, I knew something was gonna happen.
“Where is he right now?”
The crow squawked in her ear a bit.
“He collapsed down the road, not too far from here.”
“We need to find him and get him home. Fast.”
“Un.”
We ran as fast as we could to find Yuki’s unconscious body on the floor.
“What… Is this…?”
The crow squawked in her again.
“The Orb of Ultimate Destruction? What is it?”
When she asked that, it all suddenly clicked in my head.
The Orb, Akiro, will be my fatal flaw. It will slowly make me turn to the dark side… And when that happens, run. Run as far as you can.
No.. I’m not running again. Not when you saved me a bunch of times. I’m not the fragile rich boy that I used to be. I’m stronger now, I can fight alongside those who need me.
“Akiro…?”
Tsuu-chan...
Akiro-kun~ Promise you won’t forget about me, when I leave?
Tsugumi… She was very special to me and she holds a place in my heart.
“Let’s get him out of here.”
We rushed back to Yuki’s mansion, where I encountered someone I haven’t seen in a while.
“Akiro-kun. Long time no see~”
“T-Tsugumi….Why are you here?”
“I just needed to speak to Yuki-kun. What about you?”
“Uh, rescuing said person?”
“Umm… Is this something I should be disturbing? Because we are carrying an injured person after all.” Akane interrupted the conversation.
“Hehe, one of you shall die today~”
We saw a spirit behind us, ready to attack.
“How about...You?”
It pointed to Tsugumi, which I didn’t want it to. It’s hand formed into a sword and I rushed towards her. Now was not the time.
“Tsuu-chan!!!!”
I hugged her, feeling my flesh being torn apart. I looked on the other side and saw it’s hand on the other side of Tsugumi.
“Aki...ro...”
“Tsu...gumi...”
Who knew it might have been the first and last time I saw Akane.
I closed my eyes and found myself falling into darkness…

When I woke up, I saw no one with me. I then saw Akane walking in, looking solemn.
“What’s going on? Where is everyone?”
“....”
“Akane, tell me...Please!”
“Yuki’s in a coma, Tsugumi-chan on the other hand….”
“No… Not that!”
“I’m sorry, Akiro.”
“Tsuu-chan...Can I see her?”
“Un. Her last words before she passed on was for you to keep her legacy.”
“....”
I slowly walked to her corpse, which felt cold.
“Tsuu-chan, I’m sorry… I’m sorry I couldn’t keep our promise….!”
“Akiro...”
“Tsuu-chan… Please don’t go… Please..!”
I felt tears trickling down my face. Please God, take my life.
“Akiro.. I’m here if you need me.”
I felt her hug me, comforting me as I kept crying.
“Tsuu… I...”
“It’s okay… I’m here.”
I can’t do this anymore… Now that Tsugumi’s gone.... what should I do?
“Akiro.. It’s best to live on. That’s what she wants you to do.”
“I know, but...”
“Remember what you said… when we first met? To live life to the fullest, no matter what hardships you face.”

“Please, Akiro...”

Ever since that day, I practiced and practiced.
“Akiro~”
I heard her, behind me. But she looked different. She seemed like someone else.

“Tsuu..?”
She smiled at me. But not her normal smile. And her eyes were different, too. They looked dark.
“Did you miss me, Akiro?”
“I-I thought...”
“You thought I was dead, right?”
“Why..?”
“When you got stabbed and I was dying, I met the Mistress.”
“Mistress…? The Dark Mage?!”
“That’s right. She said that, in exchange for absolute obedience, I could be resurrected. And it felt so good after I gave myself over to her.”
“Tsuu, this isn’t you! She’s controlling you!”
“Ufu… you’re just like the Mistress said. You never change, A-ki-ro.”
“Snap out of it! I know this isn’t the true you!”
“Oh, Akiro. You do realise people change, right?”
“Tsuu...”
“I know. I’ll make you a deal. I’ll ask the Mistress to let me go… if you let go of Akane.”
What? Let go…?
“You forget all about her and I can be with you instead. Wouldn’t that make you happy?”
“But… Akane...”
“Akiro,” her voice turned dark. “You loved me first.”

“Tsugumi. I don’t want to hurt you.”
I backed away slowly as she came closer.
“I know you don’t, Akiro.”
“Please..! I just… Just...”
“Just what?”
“I just want to talk.”
“Oh~ you talk too much,” She pulled me closer, kissing my lips.
Such sweet, soft lips I hadn’t felt in so long…
What’s going on…? I feel I’m losing control….
I dropped to my knees, mesmerised by her beauty.

“Okay...” My voice spoke on its own.

Miyuki’s POV
What’s happening…? I sense something’s going on….
“Guys, I think something’s wrong.”
“Umm?”
“Akiro’s been gone for ages now. I’m worried something might’ve happened to him.”
“Maybe one of us should go look for him.”
“I’ll go, Mayu.” I said as I got up.
“You’ll come back, right?”
“Of course.”
I patted her head and reassured her before leaving.
As I ventured deeper and deeper, things got eerier and eerier. Before I knew it, I heard people talking in the distance.
“Akiro-kun~”
“Tsugumi… What would you like me to do?”
What….? Don’t tell me…?
“Just kill whoever comes.”
“Yes… I will.”
No. It can’t be..!
“Oh, look. There’s one now.”
The two saw me in the darkness. I either had to run away or to fight them. Since one of them was a controlled Akiro, I couldn’t just do nothing.
The girl whispered in his ear. “Kill her.”
“Oh no...”
He drew his sword and started walking towards me. I backed away as I prepared my bow.
Akiro… I don’t want to hurt you. But if it means saving you, then I will…
As he was about to attack, I shot the arrow and got his clothes caught in one of the trees.
“Ummm.. Interesting. An archer, eh? My Mistress told me what to do about you pesky lot.”
“Let Akiro go.”
She frowned. “Fine. It was fun while it lasted,” she said before leaving.
Akiro snapped out of the trance he was in and looked at me confused.
“What..? What was I..? Tsuu… Tsugumi was here, she--”
“She hypnotized you. But you’re good now.”
He looked at his shoulder. “Why are my clothes stuck to the tree by an arrow? Did you try to shoot me?”
“Don’t blame me. You pulled out your sword on me, because of that ‘Tsugumi’.”
“Oh, gosh. I’m so sorry, Milky.”
“It’s fine. I know it wasn’t truly you.”
“I know but still...”
“No, buts.”
“We should get back to Mayu, we don’t want anything to happen to her, right?”
“Right. Let’s go.”
The two of us headed back together, finding the others and the small camp they set up.
“Thank God.”
“Mayu, Jun, is Sayu alright?”
“He’s unconscious and delusional, but he’s fine.”
“Wow, I have mixed feelings about that.”
“Akiro,” I rose my voice a bit.
“Ah… sorry.”
“Who was that Tsugumi girl anyway…?”
I saw him flinch as I said her name.
“I met her way before me and Akane met… and we kinda used to date… But, she was killed...”
“Oh, sorry. Why is she back then?”
“The Dark Mage made a deal with her…. Complete obedience for resurrection….”
“Did she have a class?”
“Yes. Succubus.”
“E-Eh?”
“She wasn’t like that before though… I knew it when she kissed me. The Dark Mage must’ve.. I don’t know, did something to her… She made her one.”
“Okay, that’s crazy.”
“It must’ve been the case. I don’t know any other way it could’ve been.”
“But… how?”

Third Person POV
“Mistress, I have brought another subject to you.”
She smiled. “Good. Thank you, darling.”
The subject laid on the floor, unconscious. She looked like she was beaten and tortured through all of the Dark Mage’s “experiments”.
“She’ll be perfect.”
She bit her finger, making it bleed, and let the bright, crimson liquid drop into the girl’s mouth.
“What did you do to her?”
“What I do with all my little test subjects. The ones who are most worthy, I feed them my blood.”
“On the other hand, what should I do with Takayanagi and Iwanaga?”
“Keep them. They still have value. I could do with using Takayanagi as a hostage.”
“Understood.” Yuki bowed in front of the Dark Mage and walked away.
Just then, the girl started writhing in pain. The blood entered her system and changed her own, it felt like a fire burning inside her. Nightmarish visions played in her mind, making her go insane.
“Now, my plan to crush the Cygnus Knights is almost complete.”

Mayu’s POV
“Which way…?” I said, looking at the map. We can either head into Henesys or Perion.
“It’s logical to head to Henesys, the merchants might be able to give us good trades.”
“Alright.”
“We need to head to the Six Path Crossway before heading south.”
“What..?”
“It’s basically the main port, if you must, for airships. I’m sure there’s pathways for us to get through.”
“Okay...”
It seems really confusing, but I’m sure it’ll work out.
The next morning, after plenty of rest, we started heading out to the Six Path Crossway.
“So… You can get to other places by airship?”
“Un.”
As we kept on walking, I felt a cold breeze behind me. Not one from a cold day but… One that makes you think someone is stalking you….
“Hey… do you guys feel that?”
“Hm? What?”
“I feel like someone’s watching me...”
“Umm, not for me, no..”
“Me neither, sorry Mayu.”

I began to walk further than anyone else before I was met with an intimidating figure.
“Who… W-Who are you?!”
“M-Mayu….!”
“A-Akane…-san?!”
“Ah, dear Mayu~ It’s nice to see you lot again, but I have to interrupt the party~”
“Y-Yuki…!”
“I have little to no time to mess with you lot, so I will give your dear Akane-chan back in exchange of your Empress.”
“G-Guys..! Don’t!”
“Yuki… If you want a fair fight, then have it with me,” Akiro walked towards him, sword at hand, “I won’t have you hurting anyone else further.”
“As my Mistress said, you’re always predictable, Akiro~” Another voice chimed in.
“Tsugumi...”
“The...Pain….!”
“Akane! What have you done to her?!”
“Oh, nothing much. Our Mistress has done her work~”
“Fight me!” He ran towards Yuki and swung his sword before Yuki teleported again, "You bastard! Stop being a coward and come at me!”
“Who says I was being a coward? It’s called strategy. Anyway, I’ll make you all participate in a little game.”
“W-what type of game..?”
His hand showed an orb, it looked dark….
“No. That’s...”
“Would you like to feel the same pain as your friend?”
“Why you… How could you?!” Miyuki stepped forward. “Sayu never deserved..!”
“Hee~ do you wish to suffer with him?”
She screamed angrily and tried to shoot, but she teleported away and reappeared on top of a tree.
“Nee~ Come catch me… If you can~”
As Miyuki kept continuously shooting arrows, the mysterious girl teleported all over the place.
“Now, for you, Mayu~”
Yuki teleported behind me and covered my mouth. I couldn’t see or feel anything as I slowly dipped into the darkness.
Akane’s POV
It’s all my fault… If I hadn’t have done this, nothing would’ve ever happened…
What do I do…?
“Takayanagi Akane...”
Who is this? Such a kind light… a soft voice calling…
“Do you wish to save yourself and your friends?”
Yes.
“Then, take my hand, and I shall grant you power.”
I tried as hard as I could to grab it. It was such a bright light that I thought I was brought back to Empress Cygnus’ land. Finally out of the darkness.
“Now, you and your friends must complete the mission you have set yourselves. Jin must reunite with Aria, and I trust you all with this.”
Un, thank you.
That moment, I found a new strength inside me. The darkness inside me had dispelled and I felt a newly found energy rushing in my veins.
“If you dare to hurt my friends, then go through me first!” I shouted from the top of my lungs for them to drag their attention to me.
“Are? So you’ve gone back to the light, Takayanagi? Then so be it.”
He teleported behind me and started to attack. I quickly dodged it.
So this is the power of the Dark Lord… I have to get him back….
“Akane!”
I just grinned at Akiro, who instantly knew I was back to normal.
“What are you doing?!”
“Just trust me for once, Akiro! I might save Tsugumi while I’m at it…!”
“What?!”
“Hee~ You wish to challenge me, filthy bird? Try, if you can.”
I clutched a throwing star in my hand. I knew what had to be done.
“You….”
I threw the throwing star I held to make her teleport.
“You can do better than that.”
She prepared to attack me, but I countered by grabbing her hand.
“E-Eh?”
“I know your tricks. Now stop.”
“Eh~ No fun~”
“If you don’t stop now, I might just have to force you to.”
I pressed my hand against her chest. A blinding light emitted from it and she collapsed.
“I’ll be back, you pesky lot.” Yuki teleported away before I turned to the others.
“What just…?”
Everyone was staring at me, surprised at what happened.
“That’s it! Akane, you can heal Sayu!”
“E-Eh?”
“What about Tsugumi and Mayu though…?”
“They should be okay.”
“Okay….Now what?”
“Hurry up and get to Henesys.”
“Oh.. I don’t really wanna go there right now..” I said.
“Why?”
“My father wouldn’t want to see me again...I’ve done a lot of bad things in the past that made him mad so… I’m not in any good condition to go back to Henesys...”
Meanwhile…..
Third Person POV
“I’m sorry, your highness.” Yuki bowed in penance towards the Dark Mage, “I never expected Empress Cygnus to have lent her power to Takayanagi.”
“It’s fine. I don’t think anyone would’ve expected it really~ Plus, I think my newest subject is ready to be tested. Bring her to Henesys and wreak havoc.”
“As you wish, your highness.” He stood and left the room.
“Takayanagi Akane, eh? I wonder how her father will react when he sees me again~”

“What on Earth happened to you?” Akiro asked me. “Tsugumi, too… became like that.”
“The Dark Mage made us drink her blood. Once it entered our system, it completely changed our DNA and turned us into monsters.”
“That’s crazy...”
“When I was under her control… I felt so… So powerful...”
“It didn’t last for long, did it?”
I shook my head, “It ended up really painful. I’m thankful she came for me...”
“She?”
“I heard someone calling to me. She saved me from the darkness.”
“Well, I’m thankful to them. They saved my partner~”
“Eto… Akane-san, Akiro-san….”
“Eh? Nani, Mayu?”
“Tsugumi.. She’s awake.”
We both looked over. Tsugumi was sitting up, holding her head.
“W-What’s happening? W-Who are you people?”
“Tsuu-chan.. Do you at least remember me?” I saw Akiro walk up to her.
“Akiro…? Is that you?”
“Un. I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you, too.”
The two hugged. I was happy that they were reunited. I knew the two of them had a special relationship before me and Akiro.
“I’m happy if you guys are happy. Well, I’ll best be off.”
Miyuki grabbed my hand forcefully, making me give my full attention to her, “Where are you going?”
“I… have something important to do. Now, if you could let go of me, Miyuki.”
“Not until you tell me what’s wrong.”
“I can’t. Now, please.” I tried to make her let go, which ultimately didn’t work, “Miyuki, I know you might be worried about me but I have to do this alone.”
She looked at me with serious eyes, then sighed.
“Okay… Good luck, then.”
She let go and turned the other way.
“Goodbye, Miyuki.”
As I left, I started to remember… Those times with dad...
Flashback
“Akane, you realise that you have a lot of responsibility when I pass my leadership to you, right?”
“Otou-san… I know.”
“I don’t want to pressure you into any---”
“If you can’t tell, otou-san, I do feel quite pressured and I just can’t take it anymore!”
“I’m sorry, Akane. Please just--”
Before he could finish, I rushed out of his office. I felt tears streaming down my face, he knew I didn’t want to replace him but what could I do?
*Bang*
“Ow...” I looked up and saw a familiar face.
“Oh, Akane, I’m sorry. Are you alright?” Sae held out his hand to me.
“Sae-kun… I’m totally fine~ I’m the one who should be sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was looking.”
“What happened? You’re crying.”
“E-Eh? Nothing, really. It’s fine.”
“Akane,” he looked at me with a strong gaze. “I can tell when something’s wrong. C’mon, you can tell me.”
“I… I just don’t think I can lead the Night Walkers as well as my father...”
“Ah, that.”
“Un...”
“No matter what, I believe in you. I know you can do well.”
He hugged me tightly, making me cry in his shoulders.

My thoughts were instantly disturbed when I heard a desperate cry for help.
“Oi~~~! Hey, you~”
“Hai?” I turned and saw someone walking this way.
“Can you help me? I’m travelling up from New Leaf City, I just need a place to stay for the night.”
“Oh, you can come with me. I’m going to Ellinia, to speak with a friend of mine.”
“Thank you!!!”
“No problem. What’s your name?”
“Tani Marika, yours?”
“Takayanagi Akane, pleasure to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too~”
As we started walking again, I listened to her as she babbled on about different things.
I kept silent. I was thinking too much about the past, wondering what happened to Sae and otou-san…
We were about halfway there, until...
“Nee, Akane-san...”
“Hm?”
*Slash*
“Eh…?” I felt a searing pain on my side, looked over and saw a gaping wound, “Ah..!”
“You never realised anything suspicious, did you?”
The pain was unreal. I knelt down in front of her, as if I was possessed again but this time, it was to the pain.
“Now that you’re in a vulnerable state, I’ll take my leave.”

Akiro’s POV
The next morning, we all packed our things again and started heading out. I looked everywhere for Akane but she was nowhere to be seen.
I wonder where she is… Hopefully it won’t be like last time…
“Stop worrying, Akiro,” Miyuki said reassuringly. “She said she had business to do. She’s probably there already.”
“Yeah, but...”
“Excuse me~” A voice called out.
“Eh?”
“Hey, can you all help me~?” A strange girl approached us. “Can you lead me to Ellinia?”
“Uh… Sure...”
“Thanks!!! I’m Tani Marika, btw!” She chirped as we started walking. “So, where are you all headed?”
“Henesys.”
“Ah~ Thanks for helping me out~”
“No problem...”
“What are your names?”
“Furukawa Akiro.”
“Watanabe Miyuki and that’s my sister Mayu.”
“Matsui Jun.”
“Matsui Rena...”
This girl seems really suspicious…
“So… Tani-san.”
“Hai? What?”
“Do you know where Takayanagi Akane is?”
“Hm? Who?”
“Takayanagi Akane. She’s with us. Well, she was, but she left to go somewhere.”

She’s leading us into some sort of trap.. I feel it…
“What does she look like?”
“W-Well, she has a pretty circular facial structure… and she’s pretty short.”
“Hee~ she sounds cute. Is she your girlfriend or something?”
I blushed immediately.
“OMG she IS!!! I knew it!”
This girl is truly the most annoying person on Earth…
“Tani-san.” Miyuki suddenly raised her voice.
“Hai?”
“Are you…actually human?”
“Miyuki, what are you saying?!”
She came closer and whispered in my ear, “I have a faint feeling she’s being controlled by the Dark Mage...”
“Miyuki, stop just randomly accusing--”
“No,” Mayu stopped Jun from continuing. “I feel it...”
“Eh?”
“What?”
“There’s an evil aura surrounding her...” she pointed at Tani, making us all move away from her. “She’s just like what Tsugumi and Akane were… She’s one of them!”
After some silence, Tani gave an evil grin.
“Eh~ It seems that I’ve been found out… No big deal, I’ll kill you all like how I’ve kill your little friend.”
I stepped forward, raising my sword. “What did you do to her?!”
“Eh? Nothing much, just used, this.” She showed us a golden sword with a diamond hilt and a handle made out of the finest leather.
“How did you get that? It’s my family heirloom!”
“No reason, just maybe stole it~ And I also got this, I guess it’s the Takayanagi heirloom~”
“Wait.. What?!”
She held up a large throwing star, with diamond embezzled tips.
“Takayanagi, was it? This is in her family bloodline. It belonged to her great, great grandad, Atara, the Hero.”
“The Hero?!”
“Wait, that Hero?”
“Isn’t he one of the ones who helped seal her away in the first place?”
“Well, he didn’t work with me, I just forcefully took his son’s life~”
“No… Akane’s dad...”
“We need to get it back for you...”
“....” I clutched my sword tighter, wanting to kill her desperately, “I’ll never… forgive you..!”
“Eh~ Now you’re on~” She rushed towards me, trying to slash me with the sword that is rightfully owned by me.
I dodged and slashed behind me, causing me to hear the air slicing in half.
“Where are you?!”
“Behind you~” She slashed the sword across my right arm, causing a wound to form right down it. It made me wince in pain, with blood pouring down it like a waterfall, “Look before you speak.”
“H-How…?!”
“Never comment on my Mistress’ ways~” She slashed at me again, this time at my right leg, I collapsed on the floor, pain consuming my right side.
“Argh!”
“Akiro!”
“Ugh.. I’ll be okay...”
“Akiro, you can’t do this alone!”
Jun withdrew his sword. “I’ll fight with you.”
“I will too!” Miyuki took an arrow from her quiver, “I can’t let you die!”
“Akiro-kun, I’ll join too!” Rena took her staff out. I can’t believe everyone’s willing to help me...
“T-Thanks guys… Ah, itai….!”
“Just rest for now. We’ll take care of Tani.”
Tani giggled. “Try if you can~.”
“Ya! You bet we will!” It was the last thing I heard someone say before I lost consciousness.
