The Sunday Mail is reporting that the number of Japanese tourists visiting Australia is declining. Earlier this year, in an effort to convince Japanese tourists that Australia is still a cool place to visit, they launched an advertising campaign: (http://www.japanprobe.com/?p=146)

After the Japan - Australia match the other day I'm sure the number will be declining a lot more :p

Yeah, there's only a fraction of the Japanese tourists here in Niagara Falls that there were 10 or 15 years ago.
(EDIT: I do know NF isn't in Australia, just saying...)

I'm surprised that the native english speaker didn't understand the slogan :P
Imo it's better than all the campaigns I've seen advertising Finland. Just boring pictures of forests and lakes. I don't know if it works though. Or how have they translated it in Japanese :)

I have a friend that went to Australia one time.
That's pretty much all that happened.
At least that advertisment is funny, something ad-campaigns for countires seem to lack. :sweatdrop:

Australia is definately not up near the top of my list of places to go before I die lol x_x

I'd love to visit Australia actually - beaches, scuba in the Great Barrier reef, the outback and all sorts of wildlife you can't see anywhere else.
Not #1, but definately a place I'd like to visit.
