Title: A photo that belongs to only you

This is basically a short story I've read before.
I've remembered it becuase of my on going story
'I choose you.' and since I'm stuck on chapt. 1
I'm clarying things. So I made a cover out of this manga.

The manga which I dont remember the name
is strictly owned by its author.



Let's say this is about a sad story, to be read with a
relax state of mind, calm and serene.

A photo that only belongs to you

Part 1

'Oh! I like this photo.' Kai says looking at a photo of
sakura trees in full bloom.

'Right. It's very much like you style, Kai.' Yuu, Kai's
bestfriend, agrees back.

'You bet. I like this sweet and delicate kind
of 'capturing' the world.'

I've always wanted to be covered by the
gentle aura of that person who just praised my photo.

'Hey, have you heard? Takahashi Kai of class B is dead!'

'Takahashi... is dead?'

'It happened yesterday.'

'How was he sick?'

'It seems he got sick and his health went for the worst.'

'That's right. He had a heart problem.'

It was during the welcoming ceremony for the new students...
when I saw him for the first time.

He instantly gaved me the impression of an
honest and straightforward guy.

'What a shock guys.'

'More of being shocked... I can't seem to believe it.'

From that day... I've done nothing but to look at him.

'I can't... hold it.' a girl cries from the lose of him.

'Cry as you like. It's normal since you've known him
since elementary.' her friend try to console her.

'I can't seem to cry. I haven't talked to him even once.'

For me he represented an existence to be admired.

'Wah!'

'Oh sorry, Makita.'

'What 'ya saying, stupid! She's Maeda, not Kinoshita.'

'Eh?! Ah.. Sorry, Maeda. I didn't mean to.'

Maybe he would have never like if a
'transparent' girl like tried to talk to him.

I think I made it right to look at him from
afar without getting initiatives.

'Aaah... But... I would had liked it very much...
If I got the chance of taking a photo of him in front of this lake.'

This fresh air... and this generous nature...
it would have been married that perfect figure of his.

And to say before meeting him I had never
thought of taking a photo of people.

'Thingking of it, this coming school festival
our club we'll be representing a photo exhibit...
I can take some photo.'

-zash-

'There's someone...? Oh... He's the guy who has always
been together with Takahashi, Oshima.'

Eh? Seems like his talking to someone.

'Ehhh?!? Ta... Takahashi?!'

'EH?!' Both Takahashi and Oshima looks at
each other then at her.

'How can... it be possible?
We-we-we-ren't you de-dead?'

'W-wait...' Takahashi said stuttering.

'Do...Don't tell me you're his double.'

'Wait a moment. You can see him? Oshima asks me.

'Wh-what questions. Of course I can see him!
He's Takahashi right?

'Yes, I am.' Takahashi says poiting at himself.

'In ghost version.' added Oshima.

In front of me is a ghost? I'm not dreaming right?
It really is Takahashi's... ghost.



Yeah!!! Part 1 is done. I'm using my phone in typing
this so it's a bit hard on me. Hehe.

Part 2

'Have you calmed down?' Oshima-san asks
as he looks at me.

'Aah.. Yes.. More or less.'

'From the reaction I suppose you know me.'
Takahashi-san said looking at me with
that I-didn't-expect face.

'We're both 2nd years... And our classrooms
are near to each other.'

'Really?!... Forgive me, but you are... I hadn't
able to come to school much and because of it
I wasn't able to memorize everyone's face.'
He said scratching his head.

'Instead you are famous because of you health problem.'

'Aah, damn it! Not only wasI not able to
come to school as much as I wanted...
I even died 5 days before my birthday. What a joke!
It would've been enough of 5 more miserable days...'
He said with a face full of regrets.

'Say wh-wh-why are you a gh-ghost?'

'Eh?! Ah... See...Being with a heart problem,
every year I tried to reach the same objective.
I've always said "I need to satay alive until on my next birthday."'

'But this time he passed away before he reach it.
He can't move on... because of the anger and regrets he feels.'

'Returning back to the topic, can you tell me your name?'

'Eh?! Ah..! I'm Maeda Atsuko!'

'Maeda, eh... Mmh...mmh..'

'It's normal that you don't know me... I'm jot the ty-'

'Ah! You're the author of that photo!'

'Eh?!'

'That photo at the entrance of the phtphotography club room.
I have liked it the instant I saw it!' He looks at me with that s
erene face, smiling brightly.

That person with the gentle aura I've longed from afar
is sitting beside me right now.
Another reason why Takahashi Kai is famous is
because of his handsome look:
from that blond hair of his to those honest
brown eyes that have a tinge of coolness in them,
and his smile.

'He... remembered...!'

Ah... Atsuko fancies Kai

So I guess it's going to be a journey of Kai and Atsuko

For how long?

Until his b'day so 5 days?

Well would he move on?

What's Kai feeling for Atsuko later?

Would he develop any?

Can't wait to see more

Part 3

On our way home

'Normally, people aren't able to see ghost, right?'
 
'Yeah. As far as I know, I think I have the natural ability to do it. And you Maeda?'

Oshima-san does seem someone who is more mature than other people who have the same age.

'Eh?!... No... I don't have the same ability as yours.'

'Really? Then... Wait, is it because you were in love with him? It's a theory. It's the power of love huh?' Oshima-san looks to be having fun talking about my interest towards him.

'Eh?! No... No, no! I would never. It's too embarassing.'

'Embarassing? And can you tell me why?'

'Because someone like Takahashi-san who seem to have come out from a painting, someone so perfect, the best I could do is to look at him from a distance.'

'Ah yeah...?'

'L-listen... Takahashi-san.. Does he stay there among the trees all the time?'

 'Yes. It's because apart from us he can't speak to others. Just like what you said earlier, normal people can't see ghosts. And he doesn't go home so he won't assist the suffering and pain of those he cares.'

'But then...'

'-laughs- Don't worry! Once he gets bored of being alone, he's goin to hijack my house! Even if I like it or not, I'll find him in my place.'

'You seem to be best of friend.'

'You should know that Kai had heart problems since he was a child. Unfortunately upon middle school his attacks started to increase. He wasn't even in time to introduced himself at his classmates that the day after he was at the hospital again. He passed his days like that.

The doctors continuously said to him to stay at home, but... Kai always replied "Since I was born... It would've been a waste if I don't live my life until the end!"

Instead of staying on bed complaining about not being able to do what he wants, he lived loving his existence and giving everything he got in anything.

Until the end he followed the path he had chose. I did nothing, but to stay beside him in this madness of his. As long as... None of us has regrets.'

The next day

'WoW, school festival!! Aaah! I also want to enjoy my teenage life.'

-laugh- Takahashi-san is like a child.

'If only it's possible I would give... my place'

'Does that mean you hate these events Atsuko-san?'

'Uhm... It's not that I hate them... Lets say speaking to others is not really in my powers... Infact... I don't even have one friend.'

'Then what if I possess your body?!... Oooooh!' Takahashi-san said with that scary face. A hit nerving due to him saying things like that while being a ghost.

'Iiihhh'

-laugh- 'Kidding!... But, you see... For me who is dead, listening to you speak like that... It hurts.'

'Ah!... I'm sorry...' I need to think first of what I say.

'If you're really sorry...' Covering his eyes with his bangs '...then promise me you will find 100 friends in my stead.'

'Eeeeh?! It's impossible. It's too much.

'Why?' He asks looking amuse.

'You've seen me?!'

'Of course.'

'I'm slow at comprendering...and I don't know how to start a conversation. Just by in my presence don't you feel nervous?!'

Thats right. It has always been like this. And I hate myself for this.

'I understand. It's obvious you're afraid of others judgement. But, in comparison to the Atsuko-san who is always silent, who doesn't let others understand of whats she thinks... and to the Atsuko-san of now... who speak honestly of what she feels and thinks... I prefer the second.' He says as he smiles at me.

That smile that always makes my heart beats fast, that can make me blush...

'Ah... Kai-san...'

...A soul so gentle...!

'...can I take a photo of you?'

-laughs- 'If you want a paranormal photo, then please.'

It doesn't matter of what the outcome is. The important part is that I was able to ask him. A photo of him infornt of this very lake with the sun that shines down on the water, and with the clear blue sky... It was perfect.

I seem like... to live in a dream.

'Something wrong?'

'No...

I'm sure... Something will be seen. What I wanted... Was a proof of that moment which existed.








Thank you again minna-san. Its easier for me to write this story than 'I choosse you' and I don't know why is that. Haha.
Look forward to Part 4 again minna-san.

Arigatou Claito-san. I remeber now. It was Fujiwara Hiro-sensei's first manga before she started on 'Kaichou. WasMaid-sama'. It was on first volume of 'Kaichou wa Maid-sama.'

Ah... so Atsuko needed to make 100 friends  :lol:

And Kai wanted to live his life to the fullest seriously...

Like MG when Minami said she wanted to live her life seriously without regret

As mentioned by Claito about the manga 'TOUMEI NA SEKAI' seems similar with this story prologue

What's going to happen next?

Can't wait to find out how Atsuko and Kai are going to get closer and closer as time pass-by

Part 4

At the Ceremony Hall where Takahashi's funooeral takes place

'I'll assist to my funeral at the VIP place.' Kai-san says while pointing towards the front where his dead body lays.

'He was always like that...curious at anything and everything.' Yuu-san saiys while we stay at the back to watch the other students enter and as they say their little prayer for him.

When his parents burned the incense...

'Thank you and sorry.' he said.

In the end... without having the courage to touch him even for once... He, Kai, covered by the flames, he dissolved in the sky.

Yes... Without being able to touch him... even for once.

'Atsuko-san... I want to ask you a favor. Can you write a letter for me?' He asks of me while looking at the scenery in front of him.

The same lake we first met... here he ask of me to write a letter full of gratitude for Yuu-san because he would never be able to do it due to his incapability of using a pen.

'From Kai?' he asks totally shock. 'What an embarassing thing to do.'

-gigles- You should have seen him all red. He was so cute.'

'With this beautiful and organize calligraphy... It's like receiving a confession letter from you.' -laughs-

'However... Its undeniable...that they are his words.'

To my bestfriend Oshima Yuu,

I know that this letter is embarassing and I know you'll laugh reading this, but I felt the need to tell you my gratitude.

Both of us have been friends since elementary and never did I thought that we will continue being until after my death. There are many things I want to tell you, but more than anything I want to thank you. It's all thanks to you who had stayed beside me that I was able to do the things I've always wanted to do even in my short life...

Thank you my bestfriend.


The rain...

continues to rain until evening.

At the lake, 9.00 in the evening

'Atsuko-san...? What are you doing here so late?!'

I've wanted to tell you that I already gave the letter to Yuu-san... And... Since it has been raining non stop... I was worried.

'Hey! Look! I'm a ghost so I'm not wet.'

'Ah... You're right.

You see, I... I feel that there isn't much time that I can pass together with you and... I want to fully exploit it with you, since I was given a second chance to talk with you.

'Thank you.' He said as he leans his head on my shoulder. 'To tell the truth, after my body was cremated.. I don't know why, but i've become restless. But to see your face Atsuko-san... it made me calm.'

If only... I had the courage to talk to you first... I would've beem able to... Feel the heat of your body, I would've been able to know you better...

Maybe you would've notice... my feelings for you.

Maybe... they would've been able to reach your heart.

Kai... I want to touch you... So much.

Whaaaa. Finally we're near the ending. Whats going to happen next?!? Please look forward to it. And always thank you for the readers!!

Why did Kai grow reckless after his body was burned?

Poor Atsuko... not being able to touch or even talk to Kai when he was still alive...

What about her love?

Would she need to move on?

What about Kai?

Yo minna-sama. I'm really happy that you've supported this story even if it's just a cover.
When I read the manga I had really felt the feelings that was being express by this manga.
It was called 'Transparent World' by Fujiwara Hiro-sensei and since then I've started to follow her works: 'Kaichou wa Maid-sama' is my favorite out of all of them.
I did this cover so that I can show people my support to Fujiwara-sensei. I thank Fujiwara-sensei for this story because it was one of the first who thought me that 'we must always accept the things given to us with gratitude because others life doesn't make them have opportunity to have them.'

So finally here's the last chapter... I think.


Part 5

In the classroom

The students are deciding what to do for the school festival.

'Section B will sets up a cafè.'

'Eeh?! But I wanted to propose it.'

'Forget about it then.'

'Why not guys? A good Kigurumi Caffè would be good!'

'Good idea!'

'As we thought... He isn't here in this photo.' Yuu-san says while he looks at the photo I took of Kai-san.

I've really wanted for him in the photo, but alas he wasn't there. I'm sad, thinking that the proof of him existing is gone.

'He said if you meet he would not be able to put into practice his purpose, so I should give it to you tomorrow, but... Here it's from Kai. Today...is his birthday.'

He gave me a letter just like what I did to him. After reading it I ram and ran... Becausr I felt that this would be our last time seeing each other. And before he dissapears completely I want to tell him...

Dear Atsuko...

We've known each other for a little while, but I still want to thank you.
The fact that I was able to formed a new friendship even after my death... made me realize how much my life had been full of neautiful things.

I don't pretend that you make a hundred friends in my place, but...remember that it's beautiful having friends. Of course for me I'm happy to have become your friend.

You said that talking to others scares you,but... If you had found the courageto talk to a ghost, then you won't have problems talking to people in flesh and bones.

Cheer! I'm rooting for you!

From Takahashi Kai.

'Atsuko-san!'

'It's now... Or never.

I like you!!' I said while crying. It hurts. The beating of my heart painfully hurts.

'I... I have always admire you.

I've like it since I saw it the first time.'

'When you remembered my photo... You made me happy.

Even if it's short... I'm contedted I was able to talk to you!

I was so happy...! And...and yes.. the letter...'

'Cheer! I amm rooting for you!'

Thank you for the letter! I'll always treasure it... Kai!' I know. I'm crying like a child, but I'm happy to be able to say anout my feelings till the end. I'm reallt thankful for him.

'This astuko... who is stubborn... but engages with all her strength... I like her!'

That handsome face who smiled at me when he said those words... I will never forget it.

'Thak you... Atsuko. Farewell.'

After that he disappeared and...  I'm never going to see him again. But I know... He'll always be there supporting me, us wherever he is now.'

During school festival

'Everyone come here. Lets take a photo.'

-click-

'Done!'

'Thank you, Maeda-san.'

'Giving all you've got, eh Editor in Chief in charge of the albums. It must be hard taking care of the photos of the whole festival, eh?''

'Not at all... I like taking photos, and I can talk to many people like this. It fun.'

'You've changed, Atsuko-san.'

'Eh?! Really?'

'You're really bright, at first you were so dull..'

-laughs- 'I agree.'

'Acchan!! I saw the exhibit of the photography club! They are beautiful!'

'Thank you!'

Kai-san... Even today I'm feeling good.

However, sometimes I want to see you, thats why...

I go to that lake and remain immobile.

That scenery...

That blue sky...

That pure and sweet air...

It's still the same when you were here.

Elements that form this world....

Transparent and beautiful, that I shared with you.

Minna-sama if you so love this story then i'll try to make a sequel out of this. Even I want to continue this one. So tell me if you want. Thank you sooo much for supporting me. See you again next time.

What a bittersweet ending for Atsuko.

At least she was able to tell him her feeling

But may be you can make another chapter of oshims and Atsuko lives few years in the future.

@black-maa: thank you as well for being a reader black-san. I really wish as well it isnt the last that you will read from me. And also i'm thingking of adding a sequel to this story. This time though is MY OWN story. So hope you will support till then.
@cisda83: thank you too cisda-san. You have my gratitude for staying with me this the last. As I said I want to do a sequel to this but its still about atsuko and kai. Genre would be fantasy. I'd be Please to hear what you'd think of this. Again thank you.
