I have no idea why I did this, but... Feels warning, I guess? MJSK Gakuen AU
With two balloons tied to my right hand, I crouched down and looked at the marble tombstone on the grassy ground.
I ran my fingers along the cold surface with a small lopsided smile.
Before I knew it, I was trembling.
My vision blurred.
I bit my lower lip to suppress any sob.
After what seemed like a full 10 minutes of reminiscing memories, I sighed and wiped the tears on my face with my sleeves.
I stood up and fumbled in my pockets for something.
I took it out and looked at the neat envelope in my left hand.
There was a small hole on its side.
I untied the balloons on my wrist and, careful not to let the strings slip through my fingers, tied the envelope to them.
I raised my head up to the blue sky, my eyes involuntarily squinting from the brightness it cast.
After taking in a deep breath and exhaling, I let go of the balloons.
I watched it float upwards to the broad hyaline endlessness, towards the place I knew where she was.
I closed my eyes and lowered my head, pulling my jacket's hood up in the process.
I turned around and sat on the ground in front of the tombstone, crossing my legs comfortably.
"So..." I smile, "...How's the view from up there, Center?"
