Other thigns worth to comment: 16. will rule. I like that they're ending with Roman MDB. However, I wouldn't pay the ticket. Piriri2 and Piriri1 might make my head to explode. And some random shuffle slpits would make it boom too. Overall, this is how a H!P concert is since Abe Natsumi graduated. It's all about random pairs and trios. While Johnnies show all their potential singing every act their own songs, A-Nation does the same... H!P puts random songs, old songs, and shuffle groups. So if you're an outsider trying to know more about H!P, you can't watch all their goodness in the same concert. You have to go to all only-one-act concerts to watch one by one. [sarcasm]Way to go, Tsunku[/sarcasm]

WTF?! Kuchibiru has one of the sexiest dance choreographies ever. They seriously shouldn't have little kids as backdancers :evil:

Is that MM or all? It would be cool to see Rika performing The Peace for the first time since her graduation concert. If it's just MM then I hope they skip the monologue part.

All. But I think they skip the monologue. If there was the monologue, there'd be a report of who did it.
I like the shuffling. It makes things more exciting to me. If everyone only sang their own songs, it'd be same old songs with same old faces in every damn tour.

Whoo!! I love the looks of this!!! I saw Hajimete no Happy Birthday, and squealed xD And GakiEri dancing to Koi*Kana will be :inlove: And another Tsuji solos :heart: And the diva song with the young aces :heart: :heart: That will be nice! All of them can sing, too :heart:
And then FINALLY an all HPK (+Kanna) song!!!!
EDIT: Ahhh! Berryz only has one song!! I mean, I know with a member or two being out, it'll be hard to perform more, but it seems... weird? They could shuffle the front girls and make the songs more interesting? I dunno, but maybe they're performing one song like ºC-ute did (even if they only had one at the time...) and are the main HPK shuffle focus!

Well, same to me coz while i'm so happy and act like idiot to find that song to listen but after serching awhile then i realized i just have a few berryz songs in my pc. kinda shocked i didn't notice it at all. :shock: Now, i'm going to find more. :D

I doubt she'll replace Maimi since Maimi isn't going anywhere. :lol: If she is to replace someone in that song, it'll be Miya.
I think she might be in either Koibito ni Narou or Inshouha since Yurina's in both song. Either song is fine with me. Inshouha has less people, so she'll stand out more, but, as for the song itself, I prefer Koibito ni Narou.

LET AIBON BACK JUST TO SING SPECIAL GENERATION, DAMNIT.
That song rule!! THEY RULE!! As a Yossi fan I like this more than Inousha Renoir something something. For some reason, in Inosha there are two voices that are almost same as Yossi's, so I couldn't really tell them apart and it sounds kinda bland.

Most of the Elders get concerts soon... Just not all together because it's hard to do.

Tracklist is kind of "meh", it didn't feel like 2 hours at all...But still, I'm thinking of going to the noon concert tomorrow. >_> Oh, and Takahashi is hot.

*joins the party late* I just got the PB today. Nothing terribly special, but fond memories for me. I honestly had no idea who was on stage with Takahashi at the time (during Goodbye Natsuo). Kind of a .. "WTF? There were kids on stage with her?!" Yes, Takahashi pwnage levels were at an all time high during that one, so... I kinda... missed the kids prancing around the stage at the same time. Haha.
Also, I forgot Megumi performed Suki Sugite Baka Mitai. I'll just go flail myself now. I'm blaming Reina. She was whoring it up and totally distracted me from anyone else on stage at the time, even my precious little Megumi. Tsk tsk.

Okay...just listened to them again, Osaka-night is in the best quality, so I guess I'll up that. It'll take a while since it's the biggest one as well. :p

They're gonna air it before the release date and, iirc, the last time they did this with a grad con, they didn't air the ceremony.

The ceremony doesn't bother me in the slightest. But I would murder someone to see Goodbye Natsuo again. As well as H!P does Sexy Boy. I never realised how much time drags after a concert until the DVD release. No wonder everyone sneaks their cameras in. Heh.

It was definitely the night show. I went to the afternoon show and it was different (not as much crying). And they didn't show all the songs! Dammit! What the hell? They better be on the DVD. Biyuuden's pile on in the middle of the stage was one of the things I was waiting for and they cut it out!

Does NHK have commercials? The broadcast was 90 min (23:00-24:30) but if it had commercials then it'll be more like 75~ min.

There were no commercials. But the broadcast was strange. They cut out songs and they reshuffled quite a lot of them too. Suki Sugite Baka Mitai was right at the start for some reason, and Goodbye Natsuo was out of place.

OMFG!! Just watched the concert and Suki Sugite Baka mitai was for me the best perf out of all of it!! Whoo Those four make a good group together just kick out reina put in miyabi and theres my dream hpk group. Anyways Momoko and Megumi sounded so awesome. Reina was average for me and Maimi did good I was worried about her Bye Byes but she did it good. Ah MomoxMeguxMaimi how wonderful you are. lol.

I sleep at night! But watching football on Sundays is not my thing XD I did go out for a couple hours today, though :)
And I kinda liked the camera work because I got to see more of the eggs :P You never see them in the actual DVD during the performances, and from the looks of these, they do some really cute things and play up the cameras when they're on them!

Yeah, wth is up with that? And sometimes, they showed the same girl 3 times and she wasn;t even singing! It could be because of the stage, makes the cameras have to switch from one side to another all the time. It was better with the last Wonderful Hearts con.

I dunno... I never watched any concerts on NHK before. I just think they wouldn't go through all the trouble and edit the concert twice just so they could show a different version on tv. :/ But I'm hoping for a different edit, too, since this one is crap. Oh well, not like I'm gonna buy the DVD.

I agree with Susu123, Suki Sugite Baka mitai was really a great perf...and i also liked Inshouha Renoir no You ni...what really pissed me off was GOOD BYE Natsuo where the camera only focused on Takahashi...and they cut Mari's parts :cry:

Bah humbug on you all, minus maybe three songs I'm in love with the whole damn concert :p Although that might be largely due to the fact that I was there, and thus didn't have to deal with cameras only focusing on one person at a time. Other than that and the main events, I feel this was a pretty weak concert. Probably because of the setlist and all the pre-recorded stuff. So yeah, I'd say the highlights are Koibito ni Narou, Suki na Senpai, Ai wo Choudai (...) and WaraBoyfriend.
As for the extra footage and interviews - I like how Takahashi wrote Konkon a letter... She's so oldschool~

They have done H!P concerts that are far less lip synched than this one. And yes, I would rather hear someone out of breath than have it be fake. One of the things that set H!P apart for me was that they are one of the few groups of this nature that generally did not lip synch - if this were the US, they would have been lip synching all the time right from the begining of their careers I think.

That and it's also a great gauge of how the girls have improved in terms of singing while performing. I was really proud of Momoko in suki sugite just because of her improvement. I've never really liked her voice, but it was nice seeing improvement.
I've yet to finish watching my copy but the amount of lip-synching is really putting me off this. If it wasn't KonKon's grad, I doubt I'd of bought it.

i really liked the berryz vs c-ute dance :) other than that, a few nice performances. that "peace/sexy boy" medley at the end i didnt like at all at first then i really liked it when the peace actually started :)
a couple of nice performances in there, shame about a lot of lip synching (but then, all wonderful hearts seem to end like that) :/

I think the last WH con had less lipsynching. I wonder if it was because of the stage this time. (I'm gonna blame everything on the stage now.) The stage was huge and all over the place. They used backing tracks, right? And the speakers couldn't cover every inches of the stage and none of them were wearing those ear monitor thingies, so it might be impossible for them to hear the music when they were at some spots on the stage, so they had to lipsynch. Yeah. :/
Why didn't they use ear monitors anyway?

ill prefer to think of concerts as an entertainment more visually than audially(??). what i mean is concerts are more for the eyes and less for the ears for me.
if i have to give rankings for what i would like to see from a concert it would be something like this.

Well, I've watched the concert (the TV rip) and it was pretty disappointing. Too much lip-synching!! Damn, there's no real, raw feeling if the singing's not live. I'd understand it for a few acts, but now it was like 90% lip-synched. So disappointing. What's the point in shuffling the songs if the singing's not live :? That's the only reason I was ok with shuffling, that at least you'd then hear the songs live because there's no recorded version. But noooo. So now I think shuffling songs sucks. Also maybe makes me think that maybe most of the shuffled songs in previous concerts weren't live either, but I just didn't realize it then. What's more disappointing than finding out something you thought was real is fake? :/
What also really pissed me off was Special Generation. Here I thought it was a song that's impossible to ruin because it's an awesome pop song. But then they put someone with a really low voice (Yossi) to sing it?? Wtf?? It was just absolutely terrible to me. Special Generation as well as most Berryz songs NEED a high voice. That perf was so disappointing. And also, I don't think I'd mind if Summer Reggae Rainbow was never performed in a concert again LOL. Aichan's Goodbye Natsuo was kinda disappointing too, because she used the high non-pretty squealy voice instead of the vibrato-ish lovely voice. (And yeah Risako and Airi were there too, but I didn't really notice)
What did I like? Well, Makoto. She was absolutely gorgeous in this concert. I was surprised and like "wow" :D Eri was really cute too (pretty pretty eyes). Momoko was lovely, as always. I ain't saying crap about vocals because of using pre-recorded tracks. HOWEVER, Miyoshi definitely suited the Elegies song the best. She should've had more lines *angry mumbling*.
Gawd I paid so much attention on the Eggs :lol: Trying to recognize Eggs in H!P concerts = priceless. "Saki. Yurika. Mucchi. Robin. Konatsu..."
So those were my opinions. One of the most disappointing H!P concerts I've seen, I skipped a lot from the end, too.

She replaced Miya in Sukibaka. The setlist with Miya in Summer Reggae was the one where Momo was absent and Miya replaced her. I'm not sure about Waracchaou. Momo did get some of Miya's lines, but I'm not sure if she got all.

I agree with what shi said totally, but I haven't watched the concert yet, but the few performances of it, the girls have been TOTALLY capable to sing live (prime example is Miki and Boogie Train. Sure the four kids had lines, too, but they could've been lipsynced instead of the whole. damn. song.), but they weren't live at all... I HATE when the concerts are lipsynced. It seriously ruins the concert feel to the atmosphere.
And just a note shi, the only past recent concert with a lot of lipsyncing was Natsu no Kayo, their summer tour last year. Wonderful Hearts I think had a quite a bit. Elders really didn't. The Iida grad tours really didn't either. Like, there was some, but it wasn't every song or every other song.

After a first quick listening I really liked Yossi in Special Generation. Really. Her voice suited the song very well. And regarding all the playback, I always thought that concerts where supposed to be live, and that was the fun with concerts. I didn't like the stage either or the camera. I want to see the one that is singing. Not the others.
I'll probably watch the full concert tomorrow.

Weird, the version I just watched had all the songs in the right order (although there were 3 songs less than were performed at the original concert).
The version I saw was 1hour 18min and there were several times where it looked like something was edited out. The big-ass torrent on Hello! Tracker said it was 1h30.

Hmm... I think the DVD might be a different perf... I haven't watched it, but judging by how Risa's hair MIGHT be different in the night show judging by the flets clips, I would say the DVD would have better angles and stuff!

imho, any concert dvd that involves Morning Musume members graduating is enough of a reason to purchase it. its especially a must have for me cuz of course Konkon is graduatin ; ; preordered the first day it was avaliable on amazon, still 3-4 more weeks for it to arrive at my door steps ><

Well, I just finished watching the DVD rip from H!O and I just want to say...I'm glad I downloaded it first, because I really am not interested in buying this anymore. I dunno, maybe my expectations were just too high.
The lip-syching is a downer, and in some places it's just really painfully obvious. The grad ceremony was good, and seeing the 5-gen sing Senpai on the verge of tears was touching, but that alone doesn't make it worth the purchase price. I'd rather save my cash for when MM's Odore concert DVD comes out, whenever that may be.

I realised it was lip synched the moment Taka went all crazy dancing and the mic was up around her eyes, yet still sounded the same. Still, in the actual concert hall, the sound of that song was amazing x_x

Most of Saa... wasn't live. Like the Rika parts and the group parts, and basically the only parts in the concert that were live were the Tsuji fill-in parts (GO MAKO!) and Suki na Sempai

I don't know how soon after DVD release they normally show it on TV but that concert was already shown on BS 2 channel in Japan. I was kind of surprised as I got that concert recorded from TV some time ago.

boo for an almost 100% lipsynched concert. IT really bothered me. So it's a no get for me. I considered buying because of Konno's grad, but it's not worth it if it's not even sung live... WEll, the performances were great though, and the diversity in costumes as well(biyuuden HOT!).

And that makes me wonder. This concert was on July 23rd, and from that date until the DVD release NOBODY, not even the mowotas on their blogs, said something aboud it being lipsynch? That seems strange to me. Specially since some friends were at the concert and did not mention that to me. My brother in law (sound engineer) says that sometimes in the post-production for the concert DVDs, some companies just "embellish" the audio because they want it to sound clearer... still, really strange that nobody mentioned this before. Everybody mentioned being upset about not being prepared to say goodbye to Mako, but NOT A WORD about this concert being just lipsynch...:confused: :confused:

Thing is, we know how the japanese media LOVES to jump at every chance to criticize or ridicule H!P and MM in particular, so it's strange that not even one of the press covering the show said something about the lipsynch... so until somebody comes up with another theory, I'll go with my friend's theory of the post-production thing, at least gives me hope that THE GIRLS DID NOT DISRESPECT their fans at Yoyogi Stadium that night.

I checked with the other concert DVDs i have, and it's ususally two months, this one was three months.
And another thing that makes me wonder about this is, if you watch carefully during the Renai Revolution 21 performance, you'll see the girls clearly are saying things to the audience and doing their little yelling, but no sound comes from their mikes...

^ If some of the posted pictures are correct, I am starting to gues they used footage from several concerts to make the DVD, if they then also processed the sound a bit (because the last few had a very bad 'flat' sound) that will account for it seemingling being 'a lot of lyp synced'.

No, the concert footage is actually from the night of July 23rd, except the Nono and Berryz extras that are from the day before. The pics going around, however, are from different nights.

From what I heard, every perf was from July 23rd, just some were from the afternoon concert, some were actually from the grad concert.
You can't really blame it all on the girls. It wasn't like they had any say in whether they wanted to sing live or not. It was the production. With the stage that huge, not enough speakers, and no in-ear monitors? I think it was impossible for them to sing live. You know with the T-shaped stage with a band in the back, when you walk to the end of the catwalk, the music you hear from the speaker right there is delayed from the real music the band is playing. That's when an in-ear monitor is helpful. So with a stage this big and no in-ear monitor? Impossible.
And once again, Berryz's perf was not live. Here are mic recordings from the grad con.

You may be right. Thing is, the stage was bigger at Kaori's grad concert last year, and there were more people involved, and still the lipsynch was limited to a few performances, so the stage size is not an issue here. I know the girls don't have a saying in this, but if they were lipsynching and they knew it, why make it so obvious by making the gesture of yelling and saying words on the mike if they know no sound will come out? And the band thing does not apply to any H!P concert, the music is always playback, it's the lyrics that are supposed to be live. Anyway, if the lipsynch at this concert was so blatant and extensive, I am still wondering why NOBODY from the wotas or the press said something before

Because the focus was supposed to be the grad? And I suppose you don't go to Japanese boards? Coz there are always mentions whether the concerts are live or lipsynch.
I never watched Kaori's grad. But I'll still go with what I've said before. I've only seen 4 huge piles of speakers. They didn't even seem to be for the performers, but for the audience.

One option has not been mentioned I think: the concerts actually where mostly live, but they remixed the sound for the DVD.

I thought these recordings were recorded by fans with radio frequency decoders and grabbed the signal sent by the girls' wireless mics...
If having this recordings mean the songs are lipsynched It'd be really sad. I mean, the Last Kiss perf by Reina, Ai and Eri had mic recordings as well floating around and I really thought that perf was live.
Anyways, judging the quality in those recordings, I'd say they don't sound as on-tune as they should if the thing was really recorded in a studio before. So I vote for live.

A mic recording means the mic is on and sending its signal, wich means live.

The mikes they use can be controlled from the sound console (my sister's boyfriend is a sound engineer and he's telling me this, I know absolutely nothing about this) so they can be set on or off from the console, and usually they set them on right before the song starts (if it is live), so they only stay on while onstage

Have not heard them, maybe those mic recodings show that they were talking about their dinner while the song was on (in wich case the sound engineer should be fired immediately for having the mikes open during a playback), that's the only way a mic recording would prove a performance was not live, if the performer is saying one thing while the song says another. :)

There's no corellation between the existance of mic recordings and the performance being live or not.
All the girls wear radio mics and they're all on different frequencies all being fed into the desk, with a fader(volume control) for each.
It's the sound engineers job to pull up the fader on the girls voices when they're singing. If they sound like crap (like some of them do, because they're out of breath from dancing) then the engineer will pull the fader down low (or off completely) and you'll just hear the prerecorded vocals. Sometimes a performance is all lipsynced, sometimes it's all live, sometimes it's a mixture of both.
Regardless of whether the fader is up or down, a wota can still tune into the radio frequency and record EVERYTHING the mic picks up.

They do. There's that recording from Nacchi's grad concert where Rika was saying the fans were silly for making cat noises during an audience participation bit. There's been others, and probably many others we never hear about.

i've always wondered. in arenas/stages like those in this concert, where is the best place to sit to get a good view? i mean, they'd be running all around the stage but you can only see them once in a while.
