With Masa's Gilmore Girl babble, makes me wonder "Which Chick Flick do you admit you like?"
Me, I dunno. Does "Bring It On" count? :jerk:
-
Do I get to pick, toooo? :D
-
I was really into Mean Girls. Mean Girls are hot.
-
Don't tell my girl, but I do like Mean Girls.
-
Gads, GOOD question.
I've been forced to see my share of chick flicks since my ex wasn't into art house or dumb guy films.
Forced to choose, I'd prolly say "When Harry Met Sally." Good, entertaining tale. Just don't take too seriously the sociology of the plot.
-
I am a girl, so I'm not sure if me answering this counts for anything, or not XD but for the record, I don't usually like chick flicks so.. hm.
I guess the only two examples I can think of at the moment are Pretty Woman and Moulin Rouge. More Moulin Rouge than anything, though. I love that film to bits and pieces. Wonderful acting, great story and awesome music *o* yes please!
-
Agree with you on Moulin Rouge, always loved that one.
American: Prime, Saving Face, anything with Audrey Hepburn
Asian: My Sassy Girl, Blue Gate Crossing, Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu, and Quill
-
Is the Wedding Singer one?
-
The Umbrellas of Cherbourg must count: not only is it a love story, it's sort of a musical. But it takes a novel approach to that genre and is a great film regardless of the rather unoriginal plot. If you like tragic love stories with happy endings. And, I ask you, what manly man doesn't?
-
Serendipity! :P
Il Mare was a pretty nice movie
-
Is 'The Breakfast Club' a chick flick? I like that one.
-
Do I get to pick, toooo? :D
Oh yeah, by all means girls answer too.
I'm surprised there's no Titanics yet.
-
Steel Magnolias
actually one of my favourite movies :embarrassed:
-
I'm surprised there's no Titanics yet.
Wow, I was surprised by no Titanics too... oh well. I gotta admit, though, I'm still into The Princess Bride... :thumbsup
-
Wicker Park and Sweet November. I'm still a manly man though, or AM I? Dun dun dun~
-
The Princess Bride and The Breakfast Club, I don't see those as particularly typical chick flick movies. Perhaps that's wrong of me. I love both those films too, and I didn't know about them until my boyfriend showed them to me XD
Titanic? Sure. I used to love that film when I was.. what, 12? Or something like that? XD It was a great movie, but I wouldn't be able to sit myself down and watch it today.
-
pride and prejudice was a fairly decent movie.. i'll admit it was boring at times.. but the story line was good and so was the acting
-
Mean Girls :yep:
-
um, so i've seen a lot. None are my favorite movies of all time though. Here's some I remember
Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion
Pretty Woman
How to Lose a Guy in 10 days
Failure to Launch
Legally Blonde
Joy Luck Club
-
   Love Actually.
-
i like a lot of chick flicks...i'm a hopeless romantic~ my favorite is probably Hatsukoi out of the ones i can remember right now.
-
Mean Girls :yep:
Always liked that movie. Watched Clerks II on Saturday and kept thinking of Mean Girls because the character Smith's wife plays (can't remember her name) looked like Regina George to me ^^;
-
I'll admit to liking A Walk to Remember. I don't cry during the movie but I do find the ending sad.
-
ya a walk to remember was pretty sad. think that's the only one i've really watched :o
-
Does "The Color Purple" count as a chick flick? Because I get all teary eye everytime I watch that movie.
-
Yeah, I liked TITANIC, you gotta problem with that?!
-
Princess Bride is very good. I am sure i like alot more, but not sure what all movies are considered chickflicks. Date Movie? :D
-
Yeah, korean romcoms/dramas are the best! (and considered by my buddies as definite date- and chickflicks) - Ditto, Il Mare, The Classic, Christmas in August, Perfect Match, My little Bride, ..... - I watch it, love it, I'm not a girl (but verrrry sensitive). :baa60776:
XD - Rambo was great!
-
Mean Girls :yep:
yupyup

Mean Girls.

Beaches.
Does Fried Green Tomatoes count?
-
The Devil wears Prada. >.<

-

"My Sassy Girl" the girl is very cool and cute
you will love this movie promise!
-
A Walk to Remember. The story was awesome, Mandy Moore was awesome in it. I think she really showed she can act in that movie. Also, I really like her song, Only Hope.
Another movie is the Princess Diaries. I mean, an "ugly" duckling finding out she's a princess? Classic.
Finally, What a Girl Wants. I think that movie was my favorite by far
-
probably the notebook. I didn't cry but I must admit, it was very touching.
-
Bridget Jone's Diary (only part 1 though), and not ashamed because it was great!
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Greatest movie ever made. (I'm not too sure if it would be considered a Chick flick though?)
-
Memoirs of a Geisha
Shall We Dance (the one with J.Lo)
Maid in Manhattan (the one with J.Lo)
dang...J.Lo should keep acting >_>
-
Does Click count as a chick flick?
I can't stand The Notebook.
-
lol Click is far from a chick flick
-
pride and prejudice was a fairly decent movie.. i'll admit it was boring at times.. but the story line was good and so was the acting
i second that, fine acting and a movie to enjoy from start to end
-
Do the English Patient (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116209/)and Comrades, Almost a Love Story (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117905/) count as chick flicks?
More recently, I adored "In The Mood for Love (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118694/)" and "2046 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0212712/)". Nobody does romance like Wong Kar Wei.
-
I'm not sure if it can really be called a chick flick because it's too good, but Ima Ai Ni Yukimasu has actually become my favourite film.
