Actually, when you look at the PB list in this thread (http://forum.jphip.com/showthread.php?t=130), it's not more PBs than last year, so far! It's weird, because it surely feels like there are PBs being released all the time :D

The photographer gives me no doubt I'm gonna like the pb, sexy or not. Every pb he has done has always become one of my favorites. not too mention that my top two are also done by him. Good that you have that much confidence in Nishida! But for me, It's not only about the photographer, but also the stylist and the concept behind each imagery. And besides, everyone has their own standards. ;_; I will find out next week.

Edit: I think I have to make it clear. I am not complaining about bad photography. No one takes a
bad pic of Maki.:p The whole issue that I had, has nothing to do with Nishida (the photographer).

So far I like most of the previews especially the black outfit :drool:. They did set a high standard with Dear..., but I think this one can be very good in it's own right. Also, I don't think she is wearing any less than before based on the preview pics, just projecting a sexier image.

I agree.

Maki's much sexier and mature image was pushed towards us somewhat fast, almost like it was a surprise. But it's not like she's all gravure on us already or anything, it's still a classy kind of sexy.

Sure, I love the sweet and cute Maki, but I also love this newer image of hers. Besides, she's going to be 21 soon, she has to grow up "fully" SOME TIME. She can't be that super adorable and sweet girl we first met years ago forever, and for all we know, maybe she's actually liking the fact that she's being given this more mature image.

To be honest, this photobook has raised my respect for her even MORE because she's such a versatile idol.

most definitely no. why does an idol need to strip bare just to prove that she's matured? in this respect i prefer the path that ayaya has chosen, by going the opposite way and focusing on her singing and performing aspects instead.

Oh and I just want to make it clear, I don't think sexy has to be part growing older. Only that I think gocchin was the one that chose to follow in that direction.

Oh and I noticed something about the previews. There are no actual bikini shots so far(though I'm pretty sure they're most likely going to be in the PB). I think it's great that there's alot less focus on the bikinis this time around, but still this is turning out to be one of the hottest H!P releases. I think that shows that she is not just your conventional "idol" anymore as it seems to be more on the stylish side rather than being your average gravure stuff

My thoughts: im still having a bit of time getting used to this new image by Maki, i still don't know what to think about it, but like all things Maki from lesbian dramas to Glass no Pumps dance moves i'll eventually learn to accept it and love it :heart:

I agree that Rika can do it too, but her style will be different from Maki's. And she is not consider a Sololist? ;_; (Is that why we are not seeing a solo Rika PB for a while already?)

Actually, GNP dance moves is really nothing when you see it in person. It reminds me of Uwasa no Sexy Guy...I actually did not like it at first, but having saw it at the concerts, it was really fine. Same thing for GNP.

Just finished watching the DVD Making....I'm speechless....drained....
judging by the making, this is by far Maki's BEST PB! The girl tops her previous [Dear...]...the themes (7 of them) are all wonderful. There are expected sexy, sensual, seductive poses yet there's also a playful side of her; she's just simply gorgeous. Maki checked herself out often during photo shoots to make sure she's not overly expose herself, this ain't porn, she's just doing her job!

There's no shame in buying photobooks that feature girls.

I got weird comments and looks at first when people found out I collect H!P photobooks, and collect H!P merchandise in general. But, I just ignored all that, because I'll love what I love and won't let people change that.

To ensure you get your copy at Kino, reserve a copy ahead of time. The store carrys about 1 to 2 copies. Don't count on Bookoff...for months I've only seen Maki's first PB there for a day, gone the next while other H!P member's PBs are there forever gathering dust.

My past experience on reserving a PB with Kinokuniya....the salesperson gave me a weird look and said "Why don't you just buy it when it arrives, we ordered ONE copy." I was like, WTF and insisted them to reserve a copy for me. I couldn't remember the exact price but it should be a little bit cheaper than ordering online.

Really? If you're talking about the Kino @ Rockefeller, my friend and I have never had any problems special ordering/reserving things (tho we usually reserve boys' love goods...). Mmm, I think I'll just go ahead and place an add-on for my current Amazon Japan order. I mean, after seeing the 'previews' in this thread, I just have to own this PB!!

To make it a little safer, I just told them to deliver it to my dad's office (where someone will be there to pick it up and give it to me). They actually called ME, instead of the opposite, so I was kind of surprised.

It's a valid question. In the end the buyer will buy regardless whether a scan exist or not, and a downloader will wait for a scan regardless whether others ask them to buy or not. But what set off this round of "buy buy buy" reminders was the incessant nagging for the scans. This pretty much put off whoever bought the pb and thought about sharing the scans. It's not the people who bought the PB that are being dicks, it's the beggars and leechers that are killing all the joy out of filesharing.

In any case, the disco and PB threads are there for many reasons, one of them being to get you to appreciate the girls and hopefully entice you to become a fan and actually think about supporting them through a CD purchase or whatnot. It has certainly worked for me and hopefully it'll work for others.

But similar to what romi said, we couldn't stop people from scanning those photobooks before, so we had to let it be. It's not like we could say, "No way, take those down so people can buy it first!" And now, here in GMED, at least we can already already take the initiative :)

But I have to try anyway... Anything for that PB! (and I really want takkity's 19 PB as well)

I live in Bolivia, South America. Pay Pal doesn't accept my country (or at least didn't last time I checked) and I don't have a credit card, since they charge you ridiculous extras for using it. Also, when you buy online, customs charges you like 30% of what you paid.... It goes on and on...

I could use some store that works getting international stuff right to your door, but charges a premium... I'll look for the best way to get those PBs... It's a lot of money, but they're worth every penny...

sharing cds i can understand and its much easier, u just rip it to the comp and u wont ruin it (unless u r really a handicap lol) but a pb its diff guys!

those hotpants and black top shirt just killing me. She so kakoii and sexy there. Also notice her facial expression :evil:

2.Studio 3
maki with wet hair = win :heart: Last PB she also had some web hair shots but i luv the image of her from this pb more. I noticed she laugh a bit tho. Let's guess .. she might have to fipping her wet hair ... left and right about 100 times :P

3.Trailor home
well ... innocent maki, sweet maki, mad cute maki, natural maki... whatelse i could say to express this theme. BTW i deman more shot in the pb from this theme tho. Sadly that it just a few shots on it but what we have seen from making dvd just priceless. Dont u agree?? XD

4.In the car and studio 2
I like gocchin's outfit and her post in this set. Of course her facail expression ... so sexy and cute at the same time :heart:
For studio 2, i like her hair style and her facial expression :heart:

5.In the fire (both outdoor and indoor)
I like the set they made at outdoor theme and Maki with that outfit just so beautiful. She's so calm and peaceful.

6.In the snow
I like her hair style and her smile :P

7.Sakura
I like this theme so much at first but what with that green outfit :doh: I don't like it but the indoor shot of sakura just so cute :jerk:

8. .. the rest ...
well.. i like them but not as much as the above theme :D

I just wanted to know because since Yesasia cancelled my order I was trying to find other places to buy the PB. (All other sites I looked at says "Out Of Print") But when I found this link I wondered if they are selling just the DVD making of, DVD with a special booklet, or PB and DVD combo.

But AGAIN, we're not sharing it for a very good reason, so that people will BUY it. This point has been stated numerous times already, but if you want to see the pictures so bad, then either scan it yourself or buy it. You mentioned that you bought it already, so there you go. Scan it if you want, it's your choice, we can't stop you.

Also, enough talk about this why-people-are-not-sharing scans, etc. And enough of this asking for scans! All that ends NOW. I'm finally putting my foot down on this!

If you're as desperate to see the pictures on your computer as you claim, find your own way of achieving them. Any more 'requests' for the scans, and I'll delete the posts. I'm sorry I have to do this, but I have no choice, if I don't; it'll just keep repeating.

I want this thread ALIVE for people to DISCUSS the photobook!

I was so happy to finally see the pics as they are in the book and have to say with the dvd, this is more than worth the price!!!! I thought there were more pictures of the outside fire scene. The outfits she wears matches so well with each theme and actually Gocchin's beautiful/sizzling body and cute expressions amplify them to the nth degree! She truely is in a class all her own and am excited and happy to see her very successful now and forever! I wish the title wasn't what it is but may something like "21" Sorry to say. It's just not a cool name for someone like Gocchin! Anyway, thank you especially Arian, Romi, and X-Chan for all your hard work helping us and informing us of this gold mine book! It's fine art work at it's best! I encourage everyone to buy it. amazonjp still has it. Get it before it goes out of print forever!

Constant requesting for downloads may be okay in The R.I.V.E, but not here. If anyone has any problems, feel free to PM me about it.

We Goto fans are not selfish or elitist. We're just so sick of people begging for scans, and giving it away just like that would mean less and less people would buy it, and we just want Goto be SUPPORTED. Is that so bad? "What about the people who want scans, but also bought the PB?", you may ask, well simple; how can we be sure that the person actually bought it. They could just be saying that for all we know.

I know people could be a bit annoying sometimes but don't scare people away by giving them a serious warning. It's not always the same people who keep asking for scans. And I don't think people are really complaining about Maki fans being selfish or anything, they just seemed to be wondering of why still no one shared it by now?! People are not forcing someone to scan it, of course you don't have to scan it if you don't want to but maybe we can help finding the scans for them just to make everyone feel satisfied. At least for our help.

They do and have 11 left. From what you can see from the other post I ordered it almost 3 weeks ago. It took longer for me cause I chose the cheaper shipping and I'm in the US so it has to go thru customs which takes forever! Believe me, it's worth it!

I'm not sure if J-list even restocks or if they restock quickly, so yes; order now before you lose the chance!

I was originally going to get FF from HMV, but cancelled my order when they told me they can't ship to P.O. Box addresses (my most reliable mailing address). But Amazon started doing the same thing, so now it doesn't matter, and I'll probably get future stuff from HMV :D Cheaper shipping too!

Let me tell you a little story about YesAsia and this book:
When shopping at their site you gotta keep in mind that they are sometimes quite lazy and inaccurate when it comes to updating.

The first time I've ordered Foxy Fungo, a few weeks after it's release, it's status remained "searching from suppliers" for about a month until they eventually cancelled it and gave me a refund.
Soon after, it became unavailable on their site and you could only sign up to receive a product alert in case it becomes available again. But that email never came.
While browsing for christmas presents, I checked it again and it said "usually ships within 21 days". I mailed them about it, complaining that I never got any product alert. I also asked about the chances of getting it this time and they replied that if I ordered right away, they would most likely get it within the mentioned 21 days and then ship it right away. So I placed another order for it on 12/21/2006, right after reading their reply.
21 days passed and nothing happened. I checked their site almost daily. The book remained available, with the usual "21 days" availability. The status of my order remained "searching from suppliers". I almost gave up and already started to plan what I could buy from the refund, until, to my surprise, they sent a mail last week, saying "With reference to the following item 'Goto Maki Phoro Album - Foxy Fungo' in your order *******, the expected ship out date has been revised to Feb/14/2007."
It says expected - So I'm not going to party until I actually hold it in my hands.
I'm also pretty sure that I wasn't the only one who mentioned to them that it's not a Phoro Album....

To be fair, with the exception of this, I've never had any problems with them and they usually shipped several days earlier than the expected date. BUT if you follow this and other boards closely, you will sooner or later stumble across other stories, of people who waited, had their orders cancelled more than once or shipping dates revised several times and so on.
I'm not saying that it's impossible to get older stuff from them and FF is probably a much hotter item than, let's say, a Mako one (don't get me wrong, I like Mako and I was sad when she left but she just cannot compare to Maki IMHO) so it shouldn't be taken as a standard but don't think that, just because they list it as available or because they let you order it, you are actually going to get it.
I've made it a rule for myself to buy older stuff only after mailing them about it first and to try to get all the new stuff I really want by pre-order and not to combine these items with others who might slow down the order.

I actually had no other problems with them so far. And as you pointed out, I might get it this time - then everything would be ok anyway. *keeps fingers crossed*

I find that you can put preorders in really far in advance and its still out of stock on release date. They say they do free postage when infact all they have done is added the postage on and then some already. I also find it anoying with them how they have a habit of saying something will be in stock in 2-3 days on the third day its suddenly 7-14 on the 14th day it becomes one month and so on. That why i dont even bother with them anymore, i still take a look at the special offers but thats it to be honest. I would suggest sticking to someone like Amazon.jp although the postage may hurt on the first item them are really good when you combine items. I usually buy photobook from them in bulk. Something like 8 at a time that way postage is something like 3500-3750yen while they would charge me 1750 for just one so you can see the saving and another thing they seem to (for me anyway) always upgrade you to express delivery for no extra charge when you select international economy for postage.
