How she got her start:  Starting her career at age 12 by appearing in various other magazine ads for her talent agency, Theatre Academy. She was also featured often in the fashion magazine, Love Berry. At age 13 she landed the role of Sailor Mercury/Mizuno Ami in the Sailor Moon Musicals. Among the Sailor Moon fandom she is easily the most well liked and well known Mercury ever. In addition to this she has also appeared as Osaka Naru in the dorama Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon in 2003-2004.

She has also released various dvd's of her own and was featured in various movies, but her goal and dream was to always be a singer. With this in mind, every year she would always sing in Love Berry's fashion show. Due to her fanbase with Love Berry she was able to release her first single 15 no Blues, with fellow Love Berry model Mizuho Oda.

In 2004 she signed a record contract with VAP and was able to release her first solo single "Be Your Girl." This song appeared as the ending theme to the anime "Elfen Lied." The b-side to this particular single "Hoshi ni Negai wo" also became associated with an anime. It was the ending theme to Otogizoushi.

She has gone on to release 4 other singles and a full album, Brilliance. Her latest Single "Sakura Kiss" has also become the theme song for the anime Ouran Host Club.

I think she's ok. She has some pretty catchy songs like Candy Baby. Her singles were good but I didn't like the album.

i love sakura kiss as well. I watched her in the live action sailor moon, and her regular voice sounds so much different from her real voice.

Also, have you guys seen her music vid for sakura kiss? its not that great, but still, the song's awesome. here is the link to it in youtube:

Haven't heard anything about her in forever. I wonder what she is doing now? I love her in PGSM and my favorite song is Candy Baby

^ Well, she hasn't been active in music since Sakura Kiss's release and I'm not sure about her acting, but she does keep up with her blog here: http://ameblo.jp/chiecokawabe/

Basically it looks like she's just having fun, hanging out  :lol: It'd be so much better if I could actually read kanji, haha~

Unfortunately, she got dropped by VAP.  She's got new management now, and seems to just be focusing on being a talent.  She's got a radio show, and I think she's co-hosting POP JAM or something.  Or she was?

^ I don't remember her hosting it... But I could totally be way off because for the most part I've just been downloading the performances of the new show, rather than the whole thing XD

As for her just being a talent that kinda bums me out. I really liked her music style. But I'm still glad she's doing something~

i love her work, specially shining and sakura kiss. just hope she releases something in the future. nowadays she hosts a radio program (count down japan) every day at harajuku (tokyo).
