A woman in Columbus may lose her long-time vanity license plate because the state now says it's obscene.
Pat Niple (NY'-puhl) has had a plate with the letters N-W-T-F. She says they're short for "Northwood Tree Farm," a Christmas tree business she and her late husband owned. (http://www.wkyc.com/news/watercooler/watercooler_article.aspx?storyid=55240)
Heh, her name is Niple.

I didn't know they can take away already given plates...

Because i'm sure a 74 year old would have a license plate like that.
and who decides what is and is not obscene :sweatdrop:

THE MAN! They'll try and make whatever kind of rules they want on obscenity. Some Supreme Court Justice Stewart(?) was talking about porn being obscene. He said something like he couldnt define it, but, "I know it when I see it." Way to go, dumbass.

That's ridiculous. If she's had it for years, why should it be taken away from her juz coz young punks misuse the alphabets.
-
That's really unfair. (I bet her grandkids loved 'em)
:spam: My favourite plates of all time "QQQQ".
Saw them in Melbourne...lovely!!

hmm it is unfair.. i mean they must have agreed it was ok before so she could have it.. but now just take it away..

Yup, DA MAN! Supreme Court! Which by the way is full of old dudes! They have these guys voting on issues like abortion.
Now call me crazy, but I sooo think that abortion is totally a womans' issue. I mean, fella's, you wouldn't want a roomful of old ladies voting on your left nut would you?
