Title: Innocence (Fourth Gen Love)
Post by: rndmnwierd on August 18, 2006, 03:21:00 AM
I'm going away for a week. So I'm going to put this up and if I get good feedback I'll continue. So show me some interest people!

   “Innocence is wonderful, isn’t it?” Hitomi Yoshizawa sighed, watching Tsuji and Kago playing around on the tatami mats on the floor. Rika looked up at the two and nodded, agreeing with the younger girl silently. They hadn’t known each other long, just since they made it into the finals, but there was something soothing about being in Hitomi’s presence, something that made her like the younger girl instantly.

   Turning back to the tape of that day’s dance training, the two teens began to go through the moves again. They had been at the training camp for almost a week now, and Hitomi was still having some trouble with the routine. So she had asked Rika, a natural dancer, for some help.

   Yeah, help. That’s right. There were no ulterior motives, no excuse to check out her friend when she wasn’t looking.

Okay, so maybe that was a lie, but who wouldn’t want to enjoy the lovely view? Hitomi shook her head, trying to concentrate on the dancing, and Rika’s gently worded suggestions.

   She had such a sweet voice, too. Sigh.

------Well?  ......I hunger for positive reinforcement..... Feed me! -------

Title: Chapter 2!
Post by: rndmnwierd on August 18, 2006, 09:25:51 PM
Hey, everybody! This isn't rndmnwierd, she's on a cruise. (Lucky bitch...:evil: ) I promised her that I would keep her story updated while she's gone. I'll post more in a few days. :)

Panting slightly, Tsuji and Kago rested propped up in the corner, watching the older girls dance. Well, watching Rika dance, anyway. Yocchan was too busy staring longingly to do much of anything. Kago pointed this out.

   “If she doesn’t get the dance right, then she won’t get picked.” Their discussion was surprisingly thoughtful. “Rika-chan will definitely get in; Tsunku liked her too much not to pick her. If Yocchan doesn’t concentrate, she won’t get in. If she doesn’t get in, she won’t get to spend as much time with Rika-chan. It’s…” she struggled to find the right phrase.

   “Self-defeating?” Tsuji asked, repeating something she had heard on TV once. Seeing her companion nod vigorously, she smiled. This girl, with her cheerful manners and wonderful singing would get in too. She just knew it. She compared herself to Yocchan for a second, applying what they had just said. It was true for her as well.

   Kago was surprised when her friend stood suddenly, a shadow passing over her features so quickly she wasn’t even sure she’d really seen it. A fanged smiled was sent her way and she returned it with a similarly toothed grin, “You wanna dance with them?” she gestured to the older girls, who were rewinding the practice tape.

   Tsuji nodded, holding out her hand to help the younger girl to her feet. They walked hand in hand to join their friends.

................Feedback, please! I'll be checking this for her!
Title: Chapter 3!
Post by: rndmnwierd on August 23, 2006, 09:05:31 AM
Nobody has commented on chapter 2 :(  but I'm going to put chapter 3 up, reagardless. Enjoy!

Sighing, Rika caught Hitomi staring again, across the low dinner table. Jeez, she couldn’t possibly be more obvious, could she? Then again, it was pretty cute. Regardless, she was going to get caught, and then she’d never pass the auditions. Rika suddenly realized that she had been staring as much as the younger girl, and shook her head.

Damn her for being so distracting!

   Smiling inwardly, she moved her leg so that it brushed up against the girl in front of her, nearly sending her into cardiac arrest. Rika grinned, pretending to be interested in her food when that wide eyed gaze turned to her. Sometimes, obvious was good.

Title: Chapter 4!
Post by: rndmnwierd on August 24, 2006, 11:16:47 AM
Onto chapter 4!

Rolling over restlessly, Kago opened her eyes, staring into the dark at where she knew her roommate would be. She had called her Aibon. Nicknames were common; girls gave each other nicknames all the time. Why did this affect her so much then? Maybe it was the way she’d said it, her breathing heavy, whispered into her ear, sounding like something a lover would say.

Really, they were just wrestling on the tatami mats again, and Tsuji had been pinned, conceding defeat to the younger girl. But still, she replayed the memory again, shivering slightly at the thought. Girls weren’t supposed to feel this way about other girls.

‘Then again’, she thought, rolling onto her back, they were friends. Don’t all relationships start as friendships? Except knight in shining armor ones, of course. Those were love at first sight things. Moonlight lit up the room for a second, making the older girl visible on the futon next to her.

‘Maybe I should give her a nickname, too’, Kago thought, reaching out to gently brush aside some hair that had fallen into Tsuji’s face, smiling when the other girl leaned against her hand.

Tsuji is strong. I would hate to get into a wrestling match with her. I know I would come out the loser.

Damn it - you wrote something so addictive but hand it out in such small portions! Its like the tartar sauce at seafood restaurants. IM SORRY! ONE SMALL DISH OF IT ISNT ENOUGH!!!

Chapter five! You know, if I don't start labeling these, I'm gonna lose count....

   Hitomi sat quietly as the other girls filed out. She had passed. She almost couldn’t believe it. She pinched herself on the arm.

   Okay, ow. She wasn’t dreaming. She looked around the room, anywhere but at Tsunku, and caught Tsuji’s eye. The younger girl look as scared as she felt, so she gave her what she hoped was a reassuring smile. Looking at the other two girls in the room, they seemed ecstatic. If quiet. But they were all quiet.

   Tsunku was speaking, saying that some cameramen would follow them back to where they were staying and film them telling their parents. And then they would help them find their way to the studio bright and early the next morning.

   They were dismissed and Hitomi stood, a little dazedly, walking faster to catch up to Rika as they exited. “Hey.” She called to the older girl, making her spin around in surprise, “Congrats.” She smiled, falling into step beside her.

   Rika smiled back, and Hitomi melted inside, “You too.” The older girl brushed against her side as they walked, “I’m glad you made it, most of all.” She whispered quietly, and then went her own way, leaving Hitomi blushing, frozen in the hallway.

Since you all requested more, behold! A double dose! Chapters six and seven up!

   Standing in awe of the women in front of her, Tsuji almost missed her cue to introduce herself. Bowing deeply, she heard some whispers about her age, then more after Kago’s little speech. Aibon, she thought, glancing at the younger girl, seemed to be adjusting better than any of them. She probably thought of this as being no different than meeting new people.

   Turning her attention back to Nakazawa-san, Tsuji listened to the rules and expected behavior. Nakazawa seemed kinda scary, so she nodded, trying her best to remember everything that was being said. Then they started assigning mentors.

   “Kaori will be your mentor, Tsuji-chan.” Yuko said, directing her attention to the tallest girl, “Go to her with any questions you have. She’ll also show you around the building.”

   She knew her eyes must have been the size of plates, because she heard Aibon giggle beside her. Vowing to kill her friend later, she listened intently to Nakazawa’s ending speech, and then her orders to chill out.

   She turned to the younger girl, poking her in the side discreetly, “What’s so funny?”

   “You.” was the reply. At the older girl’s glare, Kago elaborated, “You looked like you were gonna pass out. Relax. Though she is taller in person, huh?”

   Tsuji rolled her eyes, “Relax, she says. I’m freaking out.”

   Reaching out to grasp her hand, Aibon smiled, “Relax, Nono.” She whispered, sending shivers down the older girl’s spine, “I’m right here beside you.”

   Suddenly, Tsuji wasn’t afraid anymore. In fact, she wasn’t much of anything, except very warm, “How,” her voice cracked slightly, “How about that tour?” Her response was a giggle.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Struggling slightly with the stubborn zipper, Rika blew out a stream of air in frustration. They had just finished filming their debut song PV and she couldn’t get the stupid costume off. A knock at the door was a welcome distraction.
   Unlocking the door let Hitomi inside. She raised an eyebrow at the older girl. “Need some help?” she asked, watching her losing battle.
   “Actually, yeah. I really do.” Rika turned and gestured helplessly to the zipper, “It’s stuck.”
   Laughing lightly at the older girl’s expense, and harder at her glare, Hitomi moved up behind Rika, taking hold of her zipper firmly.
   Bracing herself against the wall, Rika turned away, trying to ignore how the younger girl was pressed to her side. Hitomi bit her lip in concentration, tugging gently on the offending fastening. It sure was stuck good. She leaned closer to the older girl, pressing their hips together.
   The close vicinity was almost too much for Rika to take, “Just get it off.” She said quietly, “Even if you have to rip it.” If they were like this much longer, the older girl was sure she’d say something stupid. Probably something about how pretty she thought Hitomi was. Or maybe about how much she liked being around the younger girl.
   With a great tug, the zipper was suddenly opened and Rika caught the dress before it fell off her arms. Hitomi was treated to the sight of Rika’s flawless skin, almost to her butt, and her sexy shoulders.
The older girl turned to look over her shoulder and gave a dazzling smile, making Hitomi’s breath catch. “Thanks Hitomi-chan. I owe you.”
The younger girl blushed, “No problem Rika. I’ll see you around.” and proceeded to flee to her own dressing room. Rika giggled at her retreating back.
you have a talent for putting words together. Its good. It makes your writing so enjoyable to read.
I thought having your hips against someone, trying to geth the dress off is a bit...hard :P  I would do something stupid or just run back to my room like Yossui did, just more quickly.
I'm trying to make their relationship full of tension so that when it explodes, well, it explodes! They're just teenagers, not sure how to react around each other whereas Tsuji and Kago are kids, so everythings simpler. For now.
Am I making sense? I can't tell anymore.
I want to try and be as accurate as possible. Or that could just be my OCD streak. Since I'm here, I might as well post another chapter. Just don't get used to it...
   “You shouldn’t do things like that.” Kaori reprimanded the two youngest members of the group. She had just seen the little clip of the two sharing a kiss for the camera and had been slightly aghast at their audacity. “There isn’t supposed to be dating. Outside the group or in it.”
   “But we aren’t dating, Kaorin.” Tsuji was quick to point out. Kago was amazed at how familiar she was with her mentor. Even with how approachable Maki was, she still didn’t feel right calling her by a nickname.
   “I’d hope that you’d only do things like that with someone you were dating!” The tactic to smooth things over had backfired. Who knew quiet Kaori had such views on things?
   After scolding them for a few more minutes- and advising them on how to hide relationships from the cameras- Kaori left the girls in their hotel room.
   “Well.” Tsuji said, slightly in awe, “What’s so wrong with kissing your best friend?”
   “Maybe ‘cause we’re both girls.” Kago said thoughtfully, flopping onto her bed.
   “But your kisses are nice.” The older girl blurted, blushing when she realized how that sounded. She started pushing her bed closer to Kago’s, lifting one side of the covers so that it wouldn’t be caught between the beds. The younger girl absently did the same.
   “You like kissing me. And I like kissing you. And Kaori said that you should only do that with people that you date. So we should date!” Aibon grinned, proud of her logic.
   Nono finished rearranging the furniture and crawled beside her friend, “But Kaorin also said not to date within the group.”
   The younger girl waved the point away with a motion of her hand, “Rules were meant to be broken. Besides, we were just gonna keep kissing anyway. Isn’t it better to break only one rule, than two?”
   Tsuji ‘hmm’ed over this for a moment, it seemed sound. Oh, why not? The older girl rolled onto her stomach, and placed an arm around her younger companion, “Shall we seal the deal with a kiss?” she asked in as low a tone as she could go, trying to hide her nervousness.
   Aibon giggled, snuggling closer to her girlfriend and planting a gentle kiss on her lips. Then another and another, each one growing deeper. They had never kissed like this before and Tsuji couldn’t get enough, rolling over and pulling her girlfriend to lie on top of her. The younger girl giggled and squealed uncontrollably and their make-out session turned into a tickle fight.
Hey, c’mon! They are just twelve! Pervs….
---And this is the timeline thing talking. The little video I'm talking about was shot when Tsuji was 13, even though they're both twelve here... Does it even matter?
Another double post! Yay!
Hitomi was bored; everyone was so busy rehearsing for their latest concert- the graduating concert for Sayaka Ichii and the debut of the fourth generation. She supposed that the thought should make her nervous, but nothing much frightened her after seeing Nakazawa-san blow up at Rika the other day.
 Hitomi hadn’t really seen much of either since.
   Oh, wait! Speak of the devils. The frazzled looking woman rounded the corner, Rika hot on her heels, smiling and chattering away cheerfully. Hitomi wasn’t sure if she was trying to make friends or if she was searching for someone to sign her death certificate.
Judging from the murderous look on Nakazawa’s face, it was probably the latter.
   Hitomi started a count-down in her head, imagining that she could see steam rising from the woman’s ears.
3…. 2…. 1….
“Arrgh! What is your problem?!” Nakazawa spun on her heel, poking her finger into the younger girl’s chest sharply.
Blast off!
   “You’ve been after me for days! Following me! Talking to me! Being annoying as hell to me!” It seemed she’d been drinking, because here she swayed suddenly to the left, only not falling when Rika reached out to catch her, smile never leaving her face. “Why are you doing this?! Why are you doing this to me!?”
   Leaning closer, mostly to keep her propped up, Rika grinned into Nakazawa’s now wide eyes, “Because I like you, Nakazawa-san.”
   Leaving the older woman shaking her head, Rika walked over to sit beside the simmering Hitomi. The younger girl wasn’t sure why she was so jealous, it wasn’t like she owned Rika or like they had actually come out and said they liked each other. It wasn’t like they were dating.
   She thought they had shared something special! I mean, she had to have felt the chemistry between them too, right?
   She wanted to hear Rika say that she liked the younger girl. That she wanted to be near her.
She wanted to date Rika.
   Shoving down her feelings, she turned to see that familiar dazzling smile, the one that always seemed to be reserved for Hitomi and Hitomi alone.
‘The smile she hadn’t used on Nakazawa-san.’ A hopeful voice shouted in the back of her mind.
   Studying that sweet grin, Hitomi felt a slight twinge of hope for them. Maybe Rika didn’t mean it like that. Maybe she had just been teasing the older woman.
Hitomi smiled back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

   Panting and reaching for her water, Tsuji propped herself against the wall. She was exhausted, even volleyball didn’t take this much out of her. A shadow fell over her and she looked up into the kind eyes of Sayaka Ichii. Wordlessly, the older woman led her back to the dance floor, squeezing her hand reassuringly.

   After a few words of gentle encouragement, Sayaka walked back to her place and the music started up again. Looking at the other yon-ki, Tsuji knew they were all thinking the same thing.

It was a shame that they were replacing this sweet woman.

   Filled with a new sense of confidence, Nono fell into the lessons with a vengeance. If there was one thing she would do, it would be to make this stranger proud of her before she left.

With a mental nod, the young girl lost herself in the dance.

And yay for TsujiKago ... they are sooo cute *melts* Kago's logic is, well, the logic of a 12 year old :D

I can just see Rika bugging Yuuchan just because, and a drunk Yuuchan on top of that. Soooo much fun!!!

She seemed like a nice person in the rare footage I've seen of her and I thought she'd be even nicer to her replacements. Honestly, it's not hard to get into the mindset of a child, not for me at least. Writing that innocence is very refreshing.

Actually, I didn't plan on having Yuko drunk, but it ended up that way. Go fig. I like the interaction between the two, it's just happy.

Jealousy jealousy for everyone! There are so many potential love interests, for all the yonki, that you'll probably see a lot of jealousy. Though I'm trying not to make them psycho, everyone deals with their feelings in a different way.

I've never really noticed her in Happy Summer wedding. I guess I'll go watch it to see her. Wow. That was such a long time ago...

There's this one part, while their dressed in the Indian style outfits, Sayaka pulls that shall thing around her head as the camera passes. The first time I saw that I was like 'Holy Crap!' Mostly because I'd only ever seen Ayaka's Surprise English Lessons and didn't know who Sayaka was.

I totally missed Sayaka in the happy summer wedding till I watched the recording of it and I was thinking what the hell are you doing there!!

The moment between Sayaka and Tsuji was breif yet enjoyable. Having someone to dedicate or work hard for always means interesting results. Such a plot line really takes me and adds a real dimension to the story. That and I'm a sap.

Yossui in the hall way thinking about Ishikawa is sweet. The jealously, ahhh, well described. I like the part of Rika chasing Nakazawa around. It reminds me of that episode of Hello!Morning when Rika pretended to be that dog and was ending her sentences with "Wan"....That was a funny episode..That and the one with the bean throwing. Thats why I can imagine Yuko spinning around and tearing into the younger puppy dog eyed girls, lol. Especially seeing as she has been drinking. Lol

The ending is nice. Im sorry I cant think of a better way to describe it. The voice in Yossui's head that tells her that, that smile is reserved for her only is a very beautiful touch

I kinda like putting Sayaka in my story, but alas, there will be only one other mention of her before she leaves. They do work hard for her during the concert, though, you can count on that.

Yuko is cool. I like writing her. :D

I wanted Yossui jealous, but not too jealous. She's not that insecure. Yet.

It's that time again! Update! So on with it!

   Sighing heavily, Rika sat down next to Nono in the Momusu dressing room. They had been working almost non-stop since six this morning. It was now seven at night and Rika felt that she was no closer to learning all the dance routines than she had been four hours ago, when exhaustion set in.

   Looking sympathetically at the young girl taking a nap on the hard make-up table, Rika quietly cursed their slave-driving dance instructor. Damn him, pushing little girls so hard. And why did they have a man instructor anyway? Wasn’t that inappropriate?

   Gently shaking Tsuji awake and helping her to her feet, she smiled when the younger girl grumbled and stuck her thumb in her mouth. She would probably be cranky tomorrow, just like a little child.

   A sudden protective streak fell over Rika at this thought. She connected so well with this girl, like she did with her younger sister, why shouldn’t she want to protect her? Studying Nono, Rika realized that she’d fallen asleep standing up.

   Giggling, the older girl wrapped an arm around Tsuji’s shoulders, patting her head when she snuggled into Rika’s half-hug. This girl was so sweet! When she wasn’t scheming to touch people in bad places, which her and Yossui never seemed to be on the receiving end of.

   Absently helping Tsuji down the hall to the dressing room she shared with Kago, Rika pondered this. She knew that every musume, excluding Nakazawa and Gomaki, and even some of the staff that the girls were becoming familiar with had been victims. What made her and Yossui so special?

   A small sound at her shoulder made her look down to see that her temporary charge was mostly awake. Smiling gently got a sleepy grin and yawn. The cuteness just about killed the older girl.

   They continued their trek silently, a rare state for both girls, Nono still leaning against Rika, just because, although Rika wasn’t complaining. Stopping in front of the door, they could hear Aibon playing music. She was probably sleeping.

   “Thanks, Rika-chan.” Nono said sweetly. Rika thoughts from earlier came back and she just had to know.

   “Hey, Non?” she began tentatively. “You and Aibon are always…” here she made wild hand gestures which, impossibly, were understood. When Tsuji indicated her to go on, Rika said, “Well, why don’t you do that to everyone?”

   “You mean why not you, or Yocchan, or Maki-san, or Nakazawa?” Tsuji clarified. “Gomaki is respectable, someone you don’t play around with like that. Nakazawa-san is just scary. I mean, we’re stupid, not suicidal.”

   Rika nodded, that all made sense, “But what about Yocchan and I?”

   “We like you!” Nono giggled, like it was the most obvious thing in the world, “Aibon is close to Yossui and I’m close to you, so we decided that that gave you impunity.”

   Slightly confused, the older girl asked, “You mean immunity?”

   “You understood.” Tsuji waved away the correction, “I give you gold and the only thing you comment on is my vocabulary?” Acting insulted, the girl turned her back, hiding her smile, and reached for the doorknob.

   “I didn’t mean it like that, Nono. I’m flattered. Really.” Rika reached out to lay her hand on the girl’s shoulder, but jumped in surprise when Tsuji turned around grinning. With a playful ‘Gotcha!’, Nono pressed a friendly kiss to Rika’s cheek and scampered into the dressing room.

   Slightly stunned, Rika stared at the door, hearing the sounds of Aibon’s rude awakening, including words she didn’t know twelve year olds knew, and Nono’s hysterical laughter. Finally smiling and shaking her head, the older girl turned and began walking away.

----You know, I realized that I have a habit of replying whenever someone comments on this. Maybe I should just wait or something.

Whew! I'm so glad you guys think this is cute and not corny! I'm never really sure how my stuff will turn out until it's finished, so sometimes it sounds stupid when I reread it to myself. The original closing line made me bang my head on the desk a few times... :doh:

What really? It's so hard to get my hands on footage like that.
Besides, this is really early on, they haven't really gotten past the fear yet. So maybe...

You'll just have to wait. Maybe she'll get jealous and go crazy. Maybe she won't have a reason to be jealous at all. Although Rika does seem like a flirt to me.

And now.... Another update! It's borderline angst and foreshadows big time. Mwahahahaha!

   It was 6:30 and there was still no sign of Nono; Aibon was beginning to get worried. I mean, the older girl may not have been responsible, but even she would have called to say she’d be late. Or at least her mother would have.

   Sensei was looking mighty pissed, but the other musume were starting to show signs of worry, leaning against the walls and fiddling with whatever they had in hand. Even the usually stoic Nakazawa was pacing and Maki wouldn't look up from studying her shoes. No one else really spoke; tension was thick in the room.

Kago wasn’t sure how much longer she could take this, but just as she was about to announce that she was going to get some air, the cause of everyone’s worry walked in.

Nono looked so awful, no one said a word, not even the angry instructor. Her hair was loose around her shoulders and appeared unbrushed. Her eyes were red and puffy with dark circles under them, like instead of sleeping, she had just cried all night. Which was probable.

“Sorry I’m late. Let’s get started.” was the listless greeting. What happened?

Kaori was the first to rush to her side, kneeling to look her in the eye, “What happened?” Kago mentally slapped her forehead.

Tsuji just shook her head, indicating that she didn’t want to talk about it. But Kaorin would not be denied; she placed one hand on the girl’s shoulder and the other on her chin, forcing her to look into her mentor’s eyes.

Whatever she saw there broke any resistance that she would have put up and tears flowed down her cheeks. Throwing her arms around Kaori’s shoulders and burying her face in the older girl’s neck, Tsuji sobbed that her beloved dog had been hit by a car and hadn’t made it through the night.

“Is that all?” Kago replied before she could think. She knew that the dog was important to her girlfriend, she was a little sad herself, but she had really thought something was the matter.

Unfortunately, that was definitely the wrong thing to say, as three hands slapped the top of her head in quick succession and Tsuji sobbed harder.

“Ow!” Aibon brought her hands up protectively, “I didn’t mean it like that!” she cried out to the room, wilting under the normally sweet Kaorin’s withering glare as she scooped Nono up into her arms and took her out into the hall.

“I’m surprised at you, Kago.” Yossui scolded before the other members could dig their claws into her, “That was really insensitive. Go apologize.” She ordered, pointing to the door as if there was anything else the younger girl could do.

Making a mad dash for the door, Aibon couldn’t get out fast enough. ‘Man, if looks could kill, I’d be one fried ant.’ She thought absently, hearing soft voices around the corner.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” she heard Kaori’s lower tone inquire gently. Kago pressed against the wall, peeking cautiously through a potted plant to see the tallest girl kneeling again in front of her girlfriend.

Tsuji nodded, tears not falling anymore, “Don’t be mad Kaorin. She didn’t mean it. She doesn’t mean to hurt me.”

“Has she done that before?” Kaori’s tone became higher when she was surprised, almost squeaking at the end.

She could see her friend fold under her mentor’s honest gaze, “Only once. But it’s just because she doesn’t always think before she speaks.” Nono was quick to say. “I do it sometimes. Haven’t you ever done that too?” Seeing the taller girl’s look, Kago knew that Tsuji had her, “Look. Don’t worry, Aibon will apologize as soon as she realizes what she’s done.”

The younger girl took that as her que to step around the corner, “Nono?” she half jogged closer, throwing her arms around the older girl’s neck, “I’m sorry I’m a jerk.” She was relieved when her hug was returned whole heartedly.

She knew that her girlfriend was making ‘I told ya so’ gestures to her mentor and trying to get her to leave them alone. She didn’t pull back until she heard Kaori walk down the hall.

The two stared at each other for a moment, before Aibon leaned forward to gently kiss away the remaining tears on her cheeks. “I’m really sorry. What I said was insensitive and stupid and cold and, and, and. I’m just sorry.” She couldn’t look her girlfriend in the eyes, shamed as she was.

“You heard me talking to Kaori, didn’t you?” the question surprised the younger girl, but she nodded. “Then you should know that I forgive you. I’ll be okay; it’s just been a rough night.”

They remained in the hall- and in each other’s arms- for a while, Tsuji letting her girlfriend’s warmth calm her, Kago thinking about how forgiving the older girl was when it came to her. If she had been anyone else, Aibon was sure that Nono wouldn’t speak to her for a couple days, if only to prove a point. But, the older girl had forgiven her before she’d even apologized.

She wasn’t entirely sure this was a good thing.

Putting it out of her mind, she grasped Nono’s hand and began to slowly lead her back to the dance room. They did have to practice after all.

Last update for a couple days. I'm getting lazy. :P

Yossui watched the tearful hugs shared backstage after the last concert of the tour. The new members had all been nervous, but everything had gone off without a hitch. The fourth gen was official and Sayaka was leaving. Kei and Yaguchi-san were the most affected, of course, crammed together in a ni-ki group hug.

It was kinda moving.

They hadn’t known each other long, but the graduate gave each of the yon-ki hugs and words of advice on surviving with the others and in the public eye.

Yossui was last in line and Sayaka stared at her a second, before pulling her close, “You should go after the things you want with no fear. She feels the same.” The last part was whispered, meant for the younger girl’s ears only.

To say that Yossui was surprised was an understatement, but she didn’t say a word about it, just smiled and wished Sayaka luck, fighting down a blush. Was she really so obvious? Jeez!

“I’m rooting for you all.” Were Sayaka’s closing words to the yon-ki, before the older members all went out for a special celebration. The four just stood around for a minute, looking around at each other, wondering what to do next. Tsuji moved first, snagging Kago by the arm and dragging her out the door, calling a farewell over her shoulder.

The room was still again, Yossui looking discreetly at Rika and catching her gaze. Both blushed.

“So, Yocchan. You want to go for dinner?” Rika’s bold question surprised both girls, but Yossui nodded. Food was good. Food with Rika was better.

They both headed toward the door, the older girl hesitantly latching onto Yossui’s arm. Something burst inside the younger girl’s chest at the movement and she leaned down to gently kiss Rika’s lips, savoring the moment before pulling back. Or at least trying to, the older girl had wrapped her arms around Yossui’s neck and deepened the kiss into something breathtaking.

It was sweet and loving and over all too soon for both of them, but they needed air sometime. Yossui was sure her face would split from the wide grin she knew she was wearing and she wondered absently how Rika could function with all the blood in her face.

There was silence while they just studied each other happily, then Yossui took her girlfriend’s- were they dating now?- hand and started walking out the door, “Well, what happened to dinner?”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Walking stealthily back to the hotel room she shared with Aibon, Nono was sure she would be caught. Hawaii was beautiful, but this competition thing wasn’t fair at all. Food was way too important to them to be used as punishment and she felt bad at seeing her girlfriend go hungry. So she had wrapped up half of her dinner in a fancy napkin and was in the process of brining it back up to Aibon.
Tiptoeing down the hallway like she was alerted everyone she passed that she was up to something. It wasn’t long before someone stopped her; “Tsuji!” the girl in question froze in her tracks, looking around frantically for a place to hide, but it was too late. “What the hell are you doing?” Nakazawa questioned, her hand coming down heavily upon the young girl’s shoulder.
Nono did the slow horror movie turn that the victim usually does just before they see their impending doom bearing down on them with a machete. There was no where to run and no time to scream when the woman took notice of the package Tsuji was holding.
“Midnight snack?” she offered weakly, pulling her precious cargo closer to her body.
“You wouldn’t happen to be taking that up to your roommate would you? You know, the one who only had bread for dinner?” The girl was silent. “You know that’s against the rules. So hand it over.” Nakazawa extended her hand, shaking it when Tsuji didn’t immediately comply.
Now looking vaguely like a mother protecting her baby, Nono shook her head, twisting her body to hide the napkin from the woman’s sight.
Slightly taken aback that the girl would defy her, Nakazawa narrowed her eyes, “I said give it!” her voice got the attention of a few more guests of the hotel who watched the foreign stand-off with interest.
Nono jumped slightly, but still shook her head; it seemed she would fight for her little bundle, “Nuh-uh!”
Nakazawa, thoroughly frustrated, made a grab for Tsuji’s arm, only to have the girl drop to the floor, her body wrapped around her package. “You would go this far, just for some food?” the woman asked incredulously.
The girl peeked one eye open, then, seeing that she wasn’t about to be assaulted, lifted her head to address Nakazawa, “It’s Aibon’s food.” she said petulantly.
The woman was silent, assessing Nono intensely, “You mean you’d go through all this trouble, breaking the rules and risking my wrath, just for food that’s not even yours?”
Tsuji nodded firmly, ignoring any consequences that might befall her. It was the truth after all. Nakazawa didn’t say anything for a moment, lost in thought. She raised her hand suddenly, making the girl flinch, but instead of smacking her, she patted her on the head, “I never saw you.” And then she turned and walked away.
Slightly confused, Nono remained in the hallway for a second, processing what had just happened. Then she smiled, she knew that Nakazawa was a softy, way down deep.
She cheerfully scampered down the hallway, intent on her mission. Finding herself at the door she fumbled with the keycard, finally opening the door to a brightly lit room. Charging inside, she saw a pile of Aibon on the bed, moaning slightly in hunger. Nono hopped up on the bed next to her, presenting her prize to her girlfriend happily.
The younger girl wasted no time in appeasing her growling stomach, pausing only to thank her girlfriend and to breathe. Tsuji watched her fondly, smiling at her enthusiasm, as if she didn’t eat the same way. A thought occurred to her.
‘Is this love?’ Was love being happy just watching Aibon eat? Was love wanting to be around her always? Tsuji wasn’t sure. Love always seemed like a fairy tale notion, being swept off your feet and charmed with roses and songs. Well, they were singers. Did that count?
Ugh. All this thinking was making her head hurt.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Hey.” Rika looked up from her sulking to the voice at her shoulder, to see a hand holding a tall glass filled with dark liquid. Her eyes followed the hand up a wrist and forearm, past an elbow and up a shoulder to rest on the smiling face of Ayumi Shibata. “I thought this might cheer you up.”

Nodding her thanks, Rika took the drink, sniffing it cautiously before taking a sip. It burned like fire down her throat and she coughed, “What is this?”

“Some mixed drink the Coconuts made, I think Lehua called it a ^Ti-Birdo^?” The older girl shrugged, taking a sip of her own drink.

Rika licked her lips, it was pretty good, once you got past the pain, but still, “What’s the drinking age in Hawaii?” she received another shrug in return. Oh well, it didn’t matter.

And a few hours later, nothing mattered. The two were laughing and talking like they had been friends for years and though their conversation made no sense to the sober, they had no trouble understanding each other and Rika extended an invitation to crash in her and Yossui’s room. It was accepted and the two stumbled through the deserted hallways, trying to keep their giggles under control.

They weren’t successful, but they didn’t seem to wake anyone. “What the hell?” well, except Yossui, but that was only because Rika couldn’t get the keycard to work. She said as much and got a sigh in return, “Did you try turning it around?”

“No.”

“…”

“Can we come in now?” Rika tilted slowly towards the wall, slumping against it. Yossui sighed again and moved to let them through, watching Ayumi trip over herself and collapse face first on the bed, laughing the whole while. Rika sat down at the mirror and looked over the things Yossui had bought with her prize money.

“I got you something.” The younger girl was suddenly right behind her, leaning over her shoulder to grab a small jewelry box and hand it to her. Rika opened it to see a simple heart shaped necklace with a small diamond in the center. “Do you like it?” the older girl realized she’d been staring.

“I love it. Oh Yocchan, that’s so sweet.” She tried to put it on, but couldn’t even get it out of the box in her state; Yossui laughed lightly and did it for her.

It looked good, dangling at her throat, maybe that’s why the younger girl leaned down to kiss it. She moaned quietly as Yossui kissed up her jaw to her ear, nibbling gently on the lobe. Movement from the bed reminded both of their guest and they pulled apart, breathing deeply.

Everything was silent as they watched Ayumi shift restlessly in her sleep, mumbling almost inaudibly. Rika tilted her head to look up at her girlfriend, “Maybe we should get some sleep?”

“Maybe.”

Neither moved for a moment, then they slowly trudged to the other bed, suddenly aware of their fatigue. Yossui crawled in first, lifting the blankets to allow Rika to snuggle up next to her.

 “When we go back home tomorrow, let’s go out for dinner.” The older girl suggested out of the blue. She heard a chuckle and an affirmative response before she happily drifted off to sleep.

An update!

“You’re such a little player.” Nono laughed, poking her girlfriend’s shoulder.

Aibon grinned at her, adjusting her tie arrogantly, “I can’t help that the ladies love me.” She cried out when the older girl pulled her hat down over her eyes.

“Aibon’s mine!” a voice suddenly shouted before a tall figure latched itself to her side.

“No, mine!” a much smaller somebody attached itself to the girl’s other side. Kaori and Yaguchi playfully tugged on Aibon’s arms, making kissy faces towards her.

“You have to choose one of us!” Kaori shouted mock desperately, “It’s just not fair to do otherwise.”

“Ladies please.” Kago was trying hard to keep a straight face, but it just wasn’t happening, “There’s only one girl for me and that’s,” she spotted the hapless Maki walking by, trying not to be noticed, “Maki! Of course.” She lunged at the older girl, dragging Yaguchi with her, and held onto her waist. Maki patted her head, slightly nervous, aware of Tsuji’s death glare.

“Bah! Who needs you? I’ve got Nono!” Kaori said picking up the younger girl in a tight hug. You could almost hear the air escape her lungs but she giggled at her mentor anyway.

Kago felt a sudden jealous streak and knew she was glaring just as hard as Nono had earlier. “But I want Nono.” She whined, scampering over to push Kaori away from her girlfriend. Her senpai all laughed and said it was cute while Kago snuggled up to the older girl and leaned close to her ear, “You know I only love you.” She hadn’t said it since Nono’s birthday.

Remembering that day brought a smile to her face, Tanpopo was training hard for the second gen debut and Aibon had to work on the one day Tsuji had to celebrate. They’d made plans already and both were determined to see them through, but practice had run late and Kago ran frantically out of the dance hall only to see her girlfriend slumped outside the door, asleep.

The restaurant was closed, so they had ordered room service in their hotel and had their own little private party, complete with music and dancing. Later they collapsed on the bed in each others arms and shared those special words. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

Still loosely embracing Nono, Aibon laid her head on the older girl’s shoulder, “I love you.” She repeated softly, feeling a finger trace down her spine.

You guys may have to wait for my major Ishiyoshi spam. I'm actually working on plot now! Gasp! But, I hope this will tide you over.

Hitomi wondered how Kei and Maki ever managed to have a life outside Hello!Pro, plopping down onto the hard floor in the corner of the dance room. If it wasn’t for the fact that Rika had Tanpopo practice tonight, she would have felt really bad at canceling their dinner plans.

She looked up when Maki sat down next to her, “What’s up?” Goto was cool and not crazy, like Yaguchi.

“I should be asking you that. You’ve been weird all night.” Maki gave her a concerned look.

“It probably has to do with Rika.” Kei said, sitting down on her other side.

Yossui shot her a sharp glare, “What does she have to do with anything?”

Kei laughed, “You two are only the most obvious secret couple ever. And Mari just called to complain about her being distracted too.”

Yossui rolled her eyes, was nothing sacred here? At least Rika was thinking about her. “Morning Musume is just a bunch of busybodies.” she scoffed playfully, receiving shoves on both sides.

“Why don’t we call it quits for today?” Maki suggested lightly, “It’s not like we’re getting any work done anyway. So go get Rika and do something special.”

The older girl smiled at her senpai, it was nice to have someone who understood. She called a farewell to her partners and exited the room, only to run smack into Nono. “Sorry. Where are you headed?” They fell into step with each other.

“I’m going to get Aibon. What about you?” the younger girl seemed extremely happy for some reason.

“Rika and I have plans. What’s up with you?” it seemed like Tsuji was just waiting for someone to ask because she beamed as she announced.

“Aibon and I are getting an apartment!” It sounded like it was a dream come true for her, but Yossui thought it wasn’t smart to put the two troublemakers together without supervision.

 She smiled nervously, “That’s great Nono.” The girl didn’t seem to notice her lack of enthusiasm and went on about how cool it was living away from her parents and with her best friend. Yossui just nodded, wishing the hall was shorter so that they could get to the Tanpopo dance room faster.

Suddenly, Tsuji sprinted down the hall and lunged at Kago, coming out of the room, tackling her girlfriend to the floor. They rolled as they hit the ground, ensuring the least amount of pain possible, but they kept rolling until they hit the wall with a thud, laughing like maniacs. The other three exiting the room just watched blankly as Yossui walked up to join them.

As one the four turned their backs on the youngest pair and decided to just ignore the chaos going on behind them, “So, “ Kaori started, “What are your plans for the evening?” she turned to Yossui questioningly and they began to walk towards the elevators.

“Oh just dinner.” she shared a secret smile with Rika as they stepped into the elevator. They rode down chatting comfortably with their senpai and they went their separate ways at the lobby. Walking out the door, Yossui reached for her girlfriend’s hand, sighing happily when she took it a leaned in close.

They walked off together in the night, unaware of the pair of eyes trailing them.

God, it's so much easier for me to write Aibon/Nono for some reason. But fear not, for today, after school, I begin work on my Ishiyoshi chapter.

Setting the last box aside with a sigh, Nono flopped backwards onto the bed, reaching over to flip on the radio. She, and Aibon, were in the process of moving all their stuff into their new apartment. It was slow going. They kept getting distracted and taking breaks, so it had taken them all day just to move the boxes inside. Now they just had to unpack.

Nono sighed again.

A warm body suddenly attached itself to her side and a kiss pressed against her cheek, “This was fun, huh?” Aibon giggled.

“Fun?” the older girl scoffed, “We didn’t get anything done. We’re so lazy.”

“But it was fun, right?” the younger girl was starting to pout.

“Yeah, I had fun.” She wrapped her arm comfortably around her girlfriend and they listened to the radio in silence. She squirmed when the younger girl started drawing shapes on her side, “That tickles.”

Aibon giggled again, “I know.” She walked her fingers up Nono’s ribs and across her chest, stopping over her heart. She held her hand there a moment before replacing it with her ear. “I can hear you heartbeat.” she said unnecessarily, seeming fascinated.

The older girl remained quiet, breathing evenly so that she didn’t disturb her girlfriend’s concentration. She had rarely seen her this focused, it made her all tingly inside.

Suddenly, Aibon perked up, “Hey!” she shouted, enthused. “Turn it up!”

Nono was confused, “What?” Then she realized what was playing on the radio, I Wish.

The younger girl lunged across her, pressing down hard on her ribs, and reached for the volume, blasting the song, “It’s us!” she clapped delightedly, sitting up on her knees.

Nono looked up at her girlfriend, who was straddling her hips, and tried to regain her breath, “Yeah, that’s us.” She stated flatly.

Aibon started laughing, bouncing up and down almost painfully wild on the older girl. “That’s so cool! We’re on the radio!”

“That’s great baby.” Nono sounded as though someone was jiggling her voice box as fast as they could, it wasn’t that far off. “Now please stop crushing my organs, I may need those someday.”

The younger girl immediately stopped moving and leaned down to press an apologetic kiss to her girlfriend’s throat. “I’m sorry, but think of how many people are listening to us right now. Didn’t you used to sing to the songs playing? Actually, I know you still do.” she ignored the glare that earned her, “People love us. We’re household names!”

“That’s creepy.” Nono absently tugged on the younger girl’s shirt, pulling her to lie down comfortably on top of her. “Imagine fanboys covering their room in our pictures. Buying photobooks with our swimsuit shots in them.” she shuddered, bringing a giggle from the girl resting on her, “Old men lusting after us. Ugh.”

“But we have fans! I’m sure we have girl fans too.” Aibon started planting tiny kisses on the older girl’s face, “Relax.” She sealed their lips together, gently brushing their tongues against each other.

“Relax, she says. I’m freaking out.” Nono said in between kisses, it was a common line between them, an inside joke. She rested her hands just under the younger girl’s shirt, massaging her back with gentle fingers, feeling small hands do the same on her ribs.

She started dragging her thumbs in circles on her girlfriend’s front, just above her hipbones and gasped when sharp nails traced the soft skin under her breasts. Things had never gotten this heated between them before and Nono wasn’t sure she was ready to go much farther.

She said as much and the hands stilled instantly, “I love you, Aibon, but I can’t. Not yet.” she was relieved when the younger girl smiled cheerfully at her and leaned forward to rest her head over her heart again, stretching her arms above her head and tangling her fingers in Nono’s hair.

“I don’t really think either of us should be doing that so soon. I mean we have only been dating for four months. Besides, do you even know what to do?” the younger girl tilted her head up slightly, but was unable to see her girlfriend’s eyes at her angle, she didn’t bother lifting her head off her comfortably pillow.

“Not really.” There was silence for a while, only broken by the radio, until Nono finally said, “Let’s just kiss some more.” The response was a pair of enthusiastic lips pressing her down into the bed.

-As always, feedback is good. I'll probably post another short one later today.

Here's the short I was talking about!

Rika smiled and placed some change in the cup of a homeless man as she passed, rounding the corner and walking the last few feet to the door humming cheerfully. As she entered the lobby she gave a good morning to the receptionist, who always seemed to be on the phone.

Her smile didn’t fade at all as she walked into the open den to see the rest of the yonki huddled around Maki on the furthest couch in awe. Why should her happiness wane? It was just Maki. So she was cool, so she had the beauty of a goddess, even at her young age. So what if she was the only real competition Rika had for her beloved Hitomi-chan?

She only really feared Maki breaking them apart because she was sure that was the only way it would happen. They were happy together; maybe they were even in love. But watching Yossui become so engrossed in the younger girl’s words, she had doubts about how long they would last.

After all, if Maki came calling, Rika was sure that she would drop Hitomi in a heartbeat.

Pushing aside her thoughts, Rika reinforced her smile and walked over with a hearty good morning and took a seat between Maki and Yossui. “So, what were you talking about?” It wasn’t hard to lose herself in her senpai’s words.

---I'm not sure how to portray Maki, seeing as she's not my favorite. Or anything close at all...

Next update, while I'm here!

Kago looked down in shame, feeling tears begin to well up in her eyes, “Someone, meaning me, could have gotten seriously hurt!” she hated being scolded by Nakazawa-san but something made today worse. Maybe that she actually had been hurt a little.

The other girls had never seen Yuko so mad before, all that had happened was that she had tripped on some toy the twins had been playing with and caught her fall on the corner of a table. She had some pretty bruises on her forearms to show for it, too, but she had torn into the kids with a vengeance, as if they had deliberately set it up.

Now both girls were on the verge of tears and nobody dared stand up for them, it was every woman for herself when it came to Nakazawa’s temper. “You can’t just leave things lying around! And we’ve had complaints of you pulling pranks on the staff, too!”

Pranks? When had this been a serious issue? All of the twins’ pranks were harmless.

Kago wasn’t sure how much longer she could hold back her sobs, but she knew that if she didn’t it would only make the older woman angrier. She heard Tsuji sniffle quietly beside her as Nakazawa’s rant reached it’s climax. “You should be trying to grow up!”

Suddenly, she went quiet. Surprised, both girls cautiously lifted the heads to see the woman grind her teeth together and say with finality, “I’m graduating Morning Musume.”

There was a stunned silence in the room, then Tsuji suddenly dropped to the ground and brought her knees up to her chest, sobbing loudly. As the room exploded in an uproar, Nakazawa turned and started walking away, apparently satisfied with her announcement.

Kago threw herself at the woman, latching her arms around her waist and crying into her back, “Please don’t go! We’re sorry! We’ll be quiet from now on. We’ll do everything you ask of us. We’ll stop pranking people!”

Tsuji crawled pitifully over to them and hugged onto Nakazawa’s thigh tightly, “We’ll give up candy and cake. We’ll stop playing in the studio. We’ll behave! We’re sorry! Don’t go!” it was obvious that the two were dead serious. A few girls were even shedding tears of their own.

Nakazawa said nothing, just shook them off and continued out the door. The twins just hung onto each other and cried; they would be inconsolable for the rest of the day.

Wow, I havent been here for only a day or so but its amazing how quickly everyone gets to work!!

The chapters are nothing short of fucking fantastic, as is the usual standard of your writings.

The graduation of Yuko from the story was well done. The idea of the girls pleading with her and swearing to give up their 'bad behaviour' suited their characters and also the part mentioning Yuko not talking on her way out. You have a thing with small details. You write them in so subtley its perfect, it really makes the story that much more believable.

That deal with Maki, I was confused too. I get that everyone loves Maki. Who wouldnt! At first I didnt like her either but I have this soft spot for girls that arent afraid and are sport (thus Yoshizawa and Goto rank highly on my list)

Have you written Goto as a bi or swayable character? I cant remember and cant see any evidence to determine :D Just curious about your plans for her..thats all..

I will eventually have plans for Maki. I just have to figure out how to write her first... ;-_-

Anyway, I was sorta poking fun at how cool everyone sees her, and I know that she's always been a kind of mentor to the fourth gen, especially Rika and Yossui.

Okay, update time!

The atmosphere of the Musume girls had been quiet since Nakazawa’s shocking announcement. Kago and Tsuji had barely said two words all week, aside from polite greetings and phrases, and it seemed as though all of their youthful energy had just been sucked right out of them.

Yossui looked at them, quietly sitting against the wall in the Momusu dressing room holding hands, and sighed. This had to stop.

Finding Nakazawa hadn’t been hard, she’d been on the warpath all week and you could always hear her chewing someone out. Getting her to listen to reason would be a bit more challenging.

’Right. That’s like saying wrestling a bull is a bit challenging.’

Walking up behind the woman’s cowering victim, Yossui put her hands on her hips resolutely. This was a showdown. “Nakazawa!”

The older woman turned her attention to the intruder, letting her former prey escape. “What the hell do you want?”

“I want you to apologize to Aibon and Nono.” Yossui knew it was a tall order, but you had to start somewhere.

Nakazawa laughed in her face, “Do you presume to give orders to me? I’m still leader here!”

“Do you know what you’ve done to those girls?!” the younger pointed towards the dressing room, “You’ve destroyed them! I haven’t seen a room that somber since the last time I went to a funeral.”

“They’ll get over it.” The woman waved her hand, as if dismissing it, but her voice wavered slightly.

“No, I don’t think they will. And you know it too. You made them think that you’re leaving because you couldn’t handle them. Do you know what kind of damage that does to a child? To think that they’re not wanted? To think that they drive people away?”

Nakazawa didn’t say anything, but Hitomi knew that she was getting through, “You have to do something, they’ll only listen to you now.”

The woman turned her face away, hiding any emotions that might be leaking through. Then she turned and glared harshly at Yossui, “What do I care? They’re just brats anyway!” Then she pivoted on her heel and walked away.

Hitomi reached out to the side and punched the wall, thoroughly frustrated with Nakazawa. She started heading back to the dressing rooms, filled with determination and desperation.

As she rounded the corner near the room, she noticed Yaguchi and Kaori huddled outside. They seemed worried, occasionally glancing inside and then going back to whispering. Yossui could guess who they where talking about.

She marched right past them and into the room, seeing the twins in the same spot as she’d left them. Something cracked inside her as she called out to the two, “Play with me!”

The girls just stared at her blankly, so she tried again, “I’m bored guys. So come play with me. Let’s run around the hallways and prank the staff. Please?” they shook their heads silently, in perfect unison, as if they’d practiced the creepy sisters routine. “Forget Nakazawa! You have to get up! You have to come play with me!” Yossui heard her voice break on the last word and turned around, feeling a sudden rush of tears.

She knew that if she cried in front of the twins, it would only make them cry too. So, she swallowed her pride and walked out of the room, brushing roughly past her senpai.

Aw, I am a tease! So here's the next part.

She noticed Nakazawa as she was coming back from the bathroom, the only time she was separate from Aibon now. It wasn’t unusual for the woman to be walking, or walking down a hallway, seemed like it happened everyday, but it was unusual for her to be marching with a specific goal in mind.

Since the woman’s graduation announcement, Nono had tried to avoid contact with her as much as possible, seeing as she was responsible for her departure, but it couldn’t always be done. So in situations like this, passing Nakazawa in the hall, she simply moved aside.

The woman was frightening, charging towards her like that, so Nono immediately threw her back against the wall with a thud, and tried to make herself as flat as possible. The avoiding her part didn’t work very well when Nakazawa stopped in front of her. Tsuji could do nothing except look at the ground.

“Nono.” The older woman called gently. She still didn’t look up, “I’m not leaving until spring.”

That got her attention, though, and her eyes were drawn upwards in surprise. Before she could realize her mistake and look away, though, Nakazawa grabbed her chin gently.

“It’s not your fault, or Ai-chan’s. It’s Tsunku’s. He said he wanted me to concentrate on my solo career and I was angry. I like Morning Musume and being a part of it. Especially with you and Kago in it. When you don’t make me feel old, you make me feel wanted and respected. Thank you for that. And I’m sorry I yelled at you.” It seemed liked she’d practiced hard on that and it all came out in a rush.

None the less, Nono heard it and understood perfectly, but her voice seemed to have left her. So she threw herself at the woman and cried into her shirt. She felt Nakazawa pat her on the head and figured that was the closest she’d get to a hug at the moment.

“Now now, don’t cry. I’ve still got one more single before I leave. Let’s concentrate on that.” And like that, it was over and Tsuji felt better than she had all week.

Nakazawa had that effect on people. Nono watched the older woman walk away with stars in her eyes.

----And we have resolution! I really think that all the girls respect Nakazawa, but I can never get the image of Nono crying into her arms at the graduation concert out of my head. It was so sweet.

And thanks everyone for the comments. And your welcome, I guess! Afterall I write for my readers!

UPDATE!!!!!
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

Rika was happy. It seemed like she was always happy these days and there was a good reason for it too. Hitomi. Currently both girls were at the latter’s house, listening to the radio upstairs in Yossui’s bedroom and sipping some sweet fruit drink from plastic cups.

It was pretty nice.

Rika was sitting at the girly vanity, examining all pictures taped to the mirror’s surface. Most were Print Club stickers, taken with family and friends; some were actual photographs of Morning Musume. Rika fondly remembered when a few were taken, but she would occasionally ask about the people she didn’t recognize.

“Who’s this?” she pointed to a Purikura with Yossui and another girl getting very close to each other. It was cute because the other girl was only five or six.

“Oh, that’s my little cousin. Isn’t she sweet?” Yossui’s voice dripped like a proud parent.

The older girl just nodded, continuing to look at the place where there was once a mirror. She was a little sad that there weren’t that many pictures of her up there, especially since it seemed like every other picture had Aibon or Nono in it.

She didn’t want to point it out and sound needy, but she didn’t have to. It was pretty obvious what she was thinking.

“There’re not a lot of you, huh?” her girlfriend’s voice sounded lowly by her ear and she jumped slightly. A gentle hand pulled her up out of the chair and led her towards the bed. “You’re special, so you get a special place.” They sat on the bed, Rika in Yossui’s lap, and stared at the bedside table for a moment.

“Um, I don’t see anything…” The older girl saw her girlfriend’s hand appear from behind her and open the top drawer. Inside were stacks of pictures, probably every picture they’d taken since they became a couple. Rika reached inside and pulled them out gently.

Slowly going through them, she noticed that almost all were decorated with hearts of some kind. She grinned at the silly faces they had in a few and paused at a plain picture with Maki and Yossui in it. She heard a nervous laugh behind her.

“Ahem, well. Maki is my idol…” Come to think of it, the picture looked older, like when they first joined. She let it slide, and finished sifting through the rest. She stopped at the last picture and stared. It was Yossui, probably from before they’d met, and she was hugging the arm of a handsome boy. You almost couldn’t see them for the amount of hearts covering the photo.

She felt her girlfriend shift uncomfortably underneath her and knew that she didn’t have to ask. “He’s my ex. We were really close; I thought that we’d be together forever. In fact, we started making plans to get married after high school. He was kind and usually understanding, but he absolutely hated my music. When I told him that I was trying out for Morning Musume, he tried to forbid me from going. I broke up with him.”

The two lay back on the bed, Rika making herself comfortable against the younger girl’s side, “I’m glad that I did, now that I have you.” Yossui finished her little explanation, kissing Rika’s head gently.

“I love you.” The older girl whispered quietly, realizing that this was the first time she had spoken about her feelings. “Hitomi-chan, I’ll try to support you in every way possible. I want us to be like this for a long time.”

“Not forever?”

“No, there is no forever.”

How right she was….

----Finally, some good Ishiyoshi on my part! So comment, dammit!

bravo bravo...awesome ishiyoshi!!!
but i have to disagree with SeeYa, yossieMaki is not THAT bad... but then again ya ishiyoshi is still the best... haha
I think the part where yossie eplained the ex boyfriend part was alittle like too much explanation? i mean  you wouldn't wanna talk soo much about your ex wid your current lover right...
then again it might just be the way i read it... i tend to read too fast drats!

Next!

Aibon sighed jealously as she watched her girlfriend attach herself to Nakazawa’s side again. Ever since the woman had apologized, Nono hadn’t let their leader out of her sight. Now she barely spent anytime with Aibon, if you forgot the fact that they lived together.

And worse yet, Kago was bored. Yocchan and Rika-chan seemed really close today, even she knew better than to come between them, and Maki wasn’t around to talk to, so Aibon just sat around sighing.

Suddenly Yaguchi-san came flying into the room with a squeal, landing on Kago in the big fluffy chair she was sitting in. Slightly in pain, all the younger girl could do was blink at her weird senpai.

Mari laughed at her and started kissing her cheeks, “You’re so adorable!”

Nono was immediately by their side, whining and pulling on Yaguchi, “Aibon’s mine. Get off.”

The older teen laughed and pulled Tsuji onto the chair, too, “You guys are almost as short as me! We should all be short together!”

‘Actually, that wasn’t a bad idea’, Aibon thought to herself. She liked Yaguchi and any time with Nono was good, especially away from Nakazawa. The other girl was apparently having the same thoughts, because she gave Kago a look over Yaguchi’s shoulder.

“What would we call ourselves?” Nono tilted her head, adopting an adorable, quizzical look.

“^Youngu Morningu^?” Aibon inquired in English.

Yaguchi looked surprised, “What really? You guys would do it with me?” The girls shared another look before nodding in unison, “I’ll have to talk to Tsunku about it, but you’d be willing to work on making it big? You’d take it seriously?”

Both girls nodded again, adding a few ‘Yeah’s and ‘Sure’s to the mix. Mari got up, letting them sink together on the chair, and looked them over appraisingly. They shrank away from her intense gaze, holding onto each other absently.

Then, Yaguchi pranced out of the room and as Aibon shared yet another look with her girlfriend, she knew they were thinking the same thing, ‘What in the world was that?’

----Thanks for your comments, they make me happy! :D

And stefy, it was an explanation. I think that someone you're that close to, even if you break up with them, you'll still have some kind of feelings for. Hence the gush. She wanted to tell Rika about him so that there wouldn't be any secrets, but probably got a little caught up in the old days.

EVIL MAKI BAD!! I don't want to villianize anyone! That's too easy.

^^ you're right as always....I suppose it'll be much more depressing and dramatic if both people are liked, because you'll feel bad no matter which one ends up with which. Well... I can't believe I didn't comment on this before, but that part with nono and yuko was so cute!  YAY FOR RNDMNWIERD!

I agree!!! There's just something about the way you write that makes this all seem so realistic. I think its the way you captured everyone's individual personality. Its just amazing that you could mimick their weird quirks.

Anyways, keep on updating! I am now officially addicted to this fanfic and I don't mind one bit. Unless you cut me off and I don't get my fix. Then I'll be sad....

You guys are too kind :embarrassed:
New chapter! Woo!

“I can’t believe they’re going to put us in a game.” Hitomi tugged on the plastic skirt in disbelief. They were to test out the new 360 degree camera angles with a PV to Dance Suru Noda. How stupid. Though the song was fun…

Anyway, it was going to be fun! Hitomi couldn’t wait. She looked over to where the twins were playing with each other’s outfits and smiled. They were actually being quiet today. They may be a handful at times, but they’re good kids.

It wouldn’t last.

She felt small, energetic arms encircle her lower waist and grinned at her crazy mentor. “You’re so cute!” It felt as though the much smaller girl was trying to pick her up, so she bent down to hoist the older teen up onto her back.

Mari laughed maniacally from her perch, grabbing a nearby long candle stick and poking the innocent twins gently. They thought this was great fun and grabbed their own, smaller sticks, beginning a vicious sword battle. Yossui had to work hard not to be hit, but the three shorties eventually ganged up on her and stabbed her until she sunk down to the ground, dying as loudly as she could.

“Oh the pain! Everything’s going dark! Ahh! Ohh! I can’t last much longer!” Mari almost fell over sideways, she was laughing so hard, and Nono and Aibon were already rolling on the floor. Finally Hitomi lay flat against the ground, Yaguchi still cracking up on top of her. She twitched and gasped a few more times for good measure, then took a deep breath and was completely still.

The three continued laughing for a while, before they calmed and started wiping tears from their eyes. Even though Yossui wasn’t moving, they knew she was faking and started tickling and pinching her without mercy. Unable to hold her charade under the onslaught, Hitomi gave up quickly.

She sat on the floor for a while, feeling lazy, and smiled happily when the smaller girls climbed into her lap and Yaguchi resumed her place on Yossui’s back. You couldn’t pay for memories like these.

There was only one thing that could make it better and that was, “What are you guys doing?” Rika spoke up warily from behind them. For making herself visible, she was immediately attacked and dragged to the ground with them, protesting all the way. Nobody listened.

Yossui wrapped an arm around her, shifting Nono so that they could all fit, and the group began talking about random things. Just whatever came to mind.

“I wonder how long it took to tile this floor.” Nono patted the ground, situating herself more into Rika’s lap.

“I wonder how long it took to clean it.” Mari pulled her knees up higher off the floor, nearly sending Hitomi to the ground.

“I wonder when the last time someone did clean was.” Aibon ran a finger along the tiles, and then looked at the dirt that had collected in disgust.

“Well, I wonder what the lunch menu is today.” Yossui’s contemplation got thoughtful nods from the three shortest.

“I wonder when we all went insane…” Rika grumbled, snuggling into her girlfriend more.

“Oh, that was sometime after breakfast.” Hitomi pulled the older girl close with a grin.

......

Walking past the homeless man at the corner, Nono absently dropped some change into his cup, not even thinking about it. It was a ritual she did everyday as she passed, coming in and going home. Usually she gave him a smile and a ‘Good Morning’ but she just didn’t feel cheerful today. She did manage a weak smile at Rika, when the older girl put a hand on her shoulder.

“Don’t worry. I’m sure Aibon will come around soon. She’ll calm down, realize she was wrong and beg you to take her back.”

Yes, that’s right. Aibon and Nono aren’t speaking to each other. The older girl even went so far as to stay at Rika’s house since their argument. What was it over, you ask? A doll.

Yep, a doll.

“It was really important to me.” Nono said for what must be the hundredth time. Her mother had gotten her that doll at the first girl’s festival that she could remember and Nono loved it with all her heart. But two days ago, Aibon had broken it, and then yelled at her for leaving it out, as if the table wasn’t where it had always been.

Walking into the lobby, Nono reached up and took Rika’s hand for strength. It was gonna be a long day.

The two were immediately greeted by a concerned Yossui, who looked at Nono and asked, before she’d even said good morning, “What’s up with Aibon?” taking a second look at the distraught girl in front of her, Yossui then said, “And what’s up with you?”

“Well, hello to you too, Yocchan. I slept fine, how about you?” Rika rolled her eyes sarcastically, eliciting an apology from her girlfriend.

“Kago and I are not speaking.” Nono ‘hmph’d and turned away.

“ ‘Kago’?” The older girl repeated, “And what’s with the formal speech?” She looked really confused.

“I’m not talking to her because she won’t apologize to me.” The youngest tried to sound defiant, but it just came out sad.

Yossui nodded, “Aibon is pissed about something, that’s why I asked. I’d stay out of her way if she’s mad at you.” she patted the girl’s head gently and then squeezed Rika’s shoulder, before heading back to Kago.

Nono sighed, feeling her heart sink. ‘She’ll never apologize.’ The thought that they might not be together brought tears to her eyes and she buried her face in Rika’s shoulder. She felt soothing hands rub her back, calming her.

“Now now, don’t cry, this will work itself out. Aibon will forget why she was angry soon enough and come crawling back to you. You know she loves you.” Rika said reassuringly.

“I don’t think she does!” the girl sobbed loudly, not caring who heard. “If she really cared about me, she would respect me enough to apologize! It’s obvious I don’t mean anything to her…” she trailed off into uncontrollable cries, hiding her face in the older girl’s shirt.

Rika rubbed her back softly, feeling her heart break and Aibon watched, unnoticed, feeling low.

Wow. I have read all the chapters I have missed and I must say...you certainly know how to tug on peoples heart strings.

Because I read so much in such a short time I cant really run through everything I loved because that would mean I would need to quote all those chapters so I'll do my usual, medium length spam to fill you lust for comments.

What happened to Maki, lol. Was I right before? Was she the girl in the bushes watching!

Ishiyoshi is my favourite so far. They have a sweet thing going and Im all for it. Goddamn Yossui's boyfriend. I dont know why. Just I thought I should say it.

Im not a W fan but here it is and its cute so Im happy to read it. Its nice to have fics that are not totally dependant on sex, drugs and rock and roll. Doki Doki is unfortunately that.

Yuko's graduation was hard. That really hit me and the image you painted of Nono crying into her really burnt into my brain. That's a sign of true talent.

What did Ishikawa mean by not forever? Will this be elaborated in future chapters?

It's tomorrow! You know what that means! Dun dun dun! Just when you thought it was safe to get back on the internet...

Rika rubbed the back of her neck uncomfortably, getting that feeling of being watched again. It had been happening all night, even though she and Yossui were in the VIP booth. She looked out the window again, only seeing the swaying of the bushes in the wind. Shrugging, she decided to ignore it and turned back to the conversation.

They talked about normal things and weird things, about the other members, and about their relationship. They ate dinner in companionable silence then ordered dessert and continued to enjoy each other’s company.

Yossui reached over and gently brushed a loose strand of hair behind Rika’s ear, sending shivers down the older girl’s spine. They had time before the waitress got back.

Rika closed her eyes when Yossui’s first kiss of the night landed on her lips, gentle and caressing, tongues slipping against each other. She lay backwards compliantly, feeling hands wander across her front. They continued in this fashion for a long time, not even noticing when the waitress peeked in on them with a smile, deciding to give them a few more minutes.

They kept everything above the waist, but Rika was still in heaven. If this was just making out, then what would it feel like when they went all the way? The thought made her blush and she drew her fingers up underneath Yossui’s shirt, just below her breasts. The younger girl moaned.

A knock at the door sent them for opposite ends of the couch, trying to smooth out clothes and hair. The waitress entered with a knowing smile, seeming pleased at their flustered expressions. As she set down their orders, she boldly asked, “So, how long have you two been together?”

Yossui stuttered, “Um, well…We, ah….” she trailed off with a blush.

“Six months.” Rika answered cheerfully, over her shock.

The waitress congratulated them and shyly asked for an autograph. The couple happily complied before they dug into their meal. They lovingly fed each other and did other lovey dovey things.

All in all, they were sickeningly sweet. Everyone within a hundred yards got sugar poisoning. But who cares about them?

After paying the check and pulling on their thick coats and oversized hats, the two set out for an after dinner stroll. Basically, they just took a round-about route to Rika’s house, where Yossui would catch a cab from or just stay the night. They childishly swung their clasped hands.

Rika felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up and spun around, expecting to find someone watching them. There was no one there.

“Rika-chan, are you alright?” her concerned girlfriend asked of her strange behavior.

Glancing around behind her once more, Rika turned and gave a heart felt smile, “Yeah, I’m fine. C’mon, let’s go!” She decided to just forget the feeling.

What you don’t know can’t hurt you. Right?

----Silly Rika. I'm gonna tear you apart and flush you down the toilet... Mwahahaha!

LOL!!!! OH Gosh! Sorry your after comment about flushing Rika down a toilet made me laugh. I could imagine you going through all your magazines and stuff, tearing out the pages, ripping them into small pieces and with manical laughter - dropping them in the toilet with a flush...

Ok, now to comment on the chapter!
So only one chapter? Thats ok. It was an IshiYoshi one so I'll forgive you ^^

The remark about sugar poisoning was a good one. Very funny. The remark of "Who cares about them" afterwards complimented it. Its one of those small lines in their that, without conciously knowing, makes the story deeper and seem MORE like a story. As if we are being told this by an eye witness. Perhaps the waiter.

That darn waiter, how I envy her! You wrote up Ishikawa as the bold one not holding back on the truth, thats cool. A new change. How does Yossui feel about that?

Savouring their first time is good. Please keep it that way *hides from glares shot by fellow pervs*. The longer you hold out and the more tension/lust you put behind it, the more effective that final moment will be. You obviously know this already so I dont need to tell you anything about that...what I do need to tell you is that if you hold it off for too long ..im going to kill you. And please, if that cookie-filled-day does come..can I request a long (1500 words+) sweet chapter ^_^      Huahahaha!

Im looking forward to finding out who the stalker is ^^

Shortie chappie now!

Aibon entered the room with a bang, slamming the door behind her. She didn’t notice Mari jump at the noise and began pacing frantically. She had been avoiding her girlfriend since she had overheard her and Rika talking about a week ago, and the guilt had been eating her up inside since. She wanted to apologize, really, but every time she set out to confront Nono, something made her freeze.

Was it her pride? Maybe. Was it fear that the older girl might just be fed up with always being hurt by her? Possibly. Whatever it was, she just couldn’t get past it and it was driving her crazy!

“Argh! What should I do!?” she started pulling at her hair.

“About what?” came the unexpected response from behind her. Startled, Aibon spun around to see Yaguchi staring at her quizzically. Maybe she would know what to do.

“I hurt Nono and I want to say sorry, but I can’t. I just can’t!” Her pacing began anew and her hands were buried in her hair.

“Well, get over it. You did something wrong, you have to fix it.” The short girl put her hands on her hips and frowned.

Kago stopped. That made sense, all she had to do was say two little words and that was it. It was her responsibility and they’d never get anywhere like this. Why had she been worried?

She cheerfully hugged the crazy teen, “Thanks!” and ran out of the room, in search of her girlfriend. Yaguchi just smiled.

---It is dangerous that they got caught...<_< >_> <_< °_°

Coming back to a long comment on your chapter is always encoraging. I thought you would like it.

Length doesnt matter.

I dont actually know how long 1500 words is. It just sounded decent. Maybe 1000 is good. Or maybe a 2 part special.

Wow! Christmas is coming up soon. Authors should do a christmas special. Oh, its almost christmas time in Doki Doki, I could post it on the real christmas day, how cool. It would be interesting to see how many people give up that 'family day' to lurk in JPHIP.

Short but important. That is how I sum up this chapter. Im having a bout of "I hate KagoTsuji-itious" ...Im so sorry...because of my illness its making it hard to appreciate them as characters. Throwing Mari in the mix did dilute it though :D

It's like the end of November in this fic. I'm trying not to be too confusing since I'm using release dates as my timeline. And not just Momusu singles either. The most annoying thing is remembering how old they are. I feel like I'm making Nono and Aibon too mature. Or too loud. And they all seem a little too familiar with each other and the other members. Maybe it's just me...

Mikan: You're right about the long comments, it's really refreshing, although I love the little comments too. Like the ones I write OMG I love it XD Keep writing more!!1!1!

Len: You could use a few more cookies yourself *hint* *hint* I will get to work as soon as I've had some sleep...

I'll probably write up the chapter, edit it, then put the unedited version on LiveJournal or something. I'll post a link. Night all.

Great fanfic!!! I'm new here so while browsing the forums I found this fanfic section (which I overlooked before) and gave it a try, this is the third one I peeked... But I was immediately hooked! I read everything in one pass and now I want more!!!!

BTW, are you studying literature or are you a pro writer? you're really good, even better than works from books that you can actually buy!

Capturing the girls personalities and emotions is not an easy task, you're showing us that you can do it nicely...

I love the ishiyoshi parts mostly, the part about the photo's viewing (and hence the boyfriend explanation) and the vip room part being my favorites till now. I could literally listen to the moaning part...:D  (but the funny thing is that I misread that paragraph and pictured Rika's moan XD )

Also I wanna point out, that maybe you use the "older girl" or "younger girl" comparatives a bit too much, I don't know much about literature, so maybe it's allright, but since I read everything in one pass I couldn't help to notice that. But again, maybe it's just me, since in my native language (spanish) repeating something too much, is usually avoided.

Anyway, great work and I can't wait for more parts! (specially the christmas special!! ishiyoshi goodness!!!!)

And bring some more maki action!! :evil:

“So, how long have you two been together?”

Yossui stuttered, “Um, well…We, ah….” she trailed off with a blush.

“Six months.” Rika answered cheerfully, over her shock.

Rika handled that.... well calmly. XD She is one composed girl.

Welcome to Fanfic Heaven! It's always good to see new faces around these parts. I'm glad you like my story, I work hard on it. :D

Wow, actually I'm not professional at all, I'm flattered that you'd ask. I've never even taken a creative writing course, I can't stand being bogged down with prompt type assignments.

I try to get into the girls' heads as much as possible. They say write what you know and I'm pretty good with people, so...

I'm starting to get the hang of Ishiyoshi now, so I'm becoming more comfortable writing them together. Most of my ideas just come to me spontaneously, so sometimes they're actually full of plot. Other times it's just fluff.

And yes, I realize that I use older/younger girl thing too much. I'll try and fix that, but I just don't like using names twice in a row. 'Rika did this. Rika then went and did this.' It just bugs me. Or maybe I should get an editor...

Yeah, I'm still thinking up the Christmas-ness. It'll be a few posts before I get to it, so I've got time.

Thanks for the praise and I'll see about the Maki requests. I swear I'm going to work her in somehow!

And since I'm here, I'll put this up!

“So it was this big!” Hitomi spread her arms apart as far as they would go, laughing along with Maki and Yaguchi. She saw Rika walk by, dressed as Charmy, attached to an annoyed Nakazawa’s arm. She waved as she passed, but turned right back to her conversation without stopping for a hug.

Yossui didn’t realize she was staring until Mari poked her in the side. “Don’t feel bad. Yuu-chan’s got that effect on women. Steals girlfriend right out from under people!” she made an exaggerated motion and a ‘zip!’ sound.

The younger girl shoved her mentor lightly, trying not to let jealousy take over her thoughts. She noticed Maki looking at her in concern and glanced away, still a bit nervous around her idol.

Yaguchi spotted Kaori at a distance, and took off after her, screaming all the way. The other two ignored her, mostly used to it by now. Catching her eye again, Maki started walking slowly away, obviously telling Yossui to follow her.

They were silent for a minute, walking down an unused hallway, until Maki spoke up, “You know, having relationships among members is dangerous.”

Hitomi just nodded, sensing there was more.

“Do you love her?”

Another nod.

“I’ll vouch for you.”

Hitomi started to nod, but then turned with a ‘huh!?’ “Vouch? You mean…?”

“We’re all born in the same year. That makes us close and we should stick together.” Yossui didn’t quite get the logic of that statement, but she wasn’t about to turn down an ally.

“I’ll do the same for you.” Her response earned her a heartfelt smile and Hitomi felt her heart flutter, reminded of her childish crush.

Someone suddenly wrapped their arms around her from behind and squeezed lightly, “I’m done bugging Nakazawa for today!”

“Only you would be silly enough to provoke that woman’s wrath.” Maki said, toning her smile down a little.

Hitomi tried to look over her shoulder at her girlfriend, but was unsuccessful. She felt a giggle against her back, “But it’s so much fun! And she always has something entertaining to say!”

“Well, I’ll be off. Things to do you know.” Maki winked at Yossui, walking deliberately away and the older girl got a wicked thought.

“Wanna go make out in one of the empty rooms?”

She heard another giggle and the hands on her waist slid upwards slowly.

Hmm, this one may be a smite bit controversial. But oh well...

“Good night!”

Blowing a puff of air through her bangs, Nono bolted the door shut behind her mentor. It figures that Kaori and Yossui would invade their privacy the first night they were in Saipan. Turning, she leaned against it and locked eyes with Aibon, who was standing across the room. After an intrusion like that, there was only one thing to do.

“Bath time?”

“Bath time.”

It didn’t seem to take long for the steamy water to fill the tub and for the two to slip into the relaxing pool. It was just big enough to fit both comfortably and they played and slashed and washed together, like normal little girls. After a while, they calmed down and leaned back against their respective sides of the tub in silence.

Nono was almost asleep when she heard a sigh from Aibon. Opening her eyes, she noticed the girl looking at her funny, “What?”

“You’re so much smaller than me. I’m getting fat.” She patted her belly, splashing water over the side of the tub.

“Smaller isn’t better.” Nono glared jealously at her girlfriend’s chest, looking down at her own and then back again. She had a sudden idea and motioned the younger girl closer.

After giving another funny look, Aibon complied, turning around at Nono’s insistence and sitting with her back pressed to the older girl’s front. Tsuji shifted around behind her and sat up as straight as she could, looking over Aibon’s shoulder.

“What are you doing?” The younger sounded a bit unsure, glancing at her girlfriend from the corner of her eyes.

“Sit up straight.” was the response. Nono rested her throat on Aibon’s shoulder, looking straight down her front, “Wow. So this is what it’s like.”

“What what is like?” The younger girl was just confused now, holding perfectly still.

“What it’s like to have boobs.” Nono said cheerily, seeing Aibon’s ears turn red. She giggled at the look on her face. “I bet, in a few years, you won’t even be able to see your belly button!” Then she turned melancholy, “They’re so much bigger than mine.” She sighed heavily, feeling her girlfriend shiver.

Glancing at her in concern, the older girl wrapped her arms around Aibon, “What’s the matter?”

Holding her breath, Aibon could only say, “Do that again.”

Catching on surprisingly quick, Nono, after giving her one more glance, took a deep breath and sighed, again feeling a shiver pass through the younger girl’s body. She realized now that it was pleasure and blew another stream of air downwards.

Suddenly, Aibon sank under the water with a squeal and the moment was broken. Nono laughed at the frantic bubbles above her girlfriend’s head, guessing that she was screaming, and reached down to pull her head above the surface, “C’mon. Let’s get ready for bed.”

After drying themselves off, and having a short but vicious towel war, they dressed and climbed into one of the beds together. Snuggling closely together, the two talked until they fell asleep in the wee hours of the morning.

Special one day only!

Slumping to the ground, Rika took a long drink from her water bottle. It was lucky that the dance was easy because they’d only had a few weeks to learn it. The song was pretty catchy, but looking at where Nakazawa was joking around with Kaori and Yaguchi, the girl was sad that this was the last song they would all do together.

Rika wondered for a minute where Kei was, it seemed like she was always close to Yuko nowadays and to not see her around was a rarity. Standing, she set off to find her mentor, no one noticing her exit.

The first place she checked was the older girl’s dressing room. The door was unlocked so she let herself in, calling out a greeting into the almost dark room. Closing the door behind her, she was alarmed to find Kei slumped over the table, one hand attached to a large liquor bottle.

“Ah! Rika-chan!” She seemed pretty happy at the company, smiling and motioning her to come closer. Rika warily complied, walking to just out of arms reach. “As your mentor, I have some advice for you!” she stopped.

Leaning forward a little Rika raised her eyebrows expectantly, “Aaannd?” She didn’t expect tears though and pulled away in surprise.

“No matter what anyone says, you of all people have to be happy. No matter what! You can never show your pain to others. They’ll tear you apart.” She took a swig of whatever was in the bottle, “Never change, even if people say you’re disgusting or make fun of you. Do whatever you need to act cheerful.”

Wide-eyed, Rika watched Kei slump back over and took her advice to heart. She never wanted anyone to see her break down like this. Never. With fear in her soul, Rika fled.

Giggling, Aibon said goodbye to the hosts of Utaban, a little sad to leave. They were always funny and she enjoyed their interviews. The older members were going out to eat, leaving the third and fourth gen behind. Standing between Nono and Maki, she watched them pile into a van and head off.

“There they go…” Maki said unnecessarily, her monotone making the youngest two giggle.

“Let’s go have a dinner of our own, shall we?” Rika asked, smiling at her friends. They quickly decided on yakiniku and were off, pulling their hats down low on their faces, trying to be inconspicuous.

They made it to the restaurant without incident, although Rika kept freaking out at shadows and random people on the street. They all eventually sat down and ordered their food.

“I can’t believe this single is out already. It’s so hard promoting it with a smile when I know it’s the last one before Nakazawa’s graduation.” Yossui sighed sadly.

The others all nodded in agreement. It was going to be hard to say goodbye to their leader, but she was a good solo artist and a strong person, she could make it without them. Besides, she’d probably be on Haro Moni all the time anyway.

“Well, at least she’s not going to graduate until next year.” Aibon tried to stay optimistic and was pleased when Maki silently backed her up.

They steered the conversation onto less depressing things as they waited for their food. Aibon watched jealously as Rika and Yossui leaned against each other. The seemed so at ease in public, like they didn’t have a care in the world. ‘That should be us.’ she thought, discreetly taking Nono’s hand under the table, holding her breath until she was sure the older girl wasn’t going to pull away.

For some reason, Nono had stopped being affectionate in public. Sure they would hold hands and hug, but only sometimes, and they never kissed in front of anyone anymore. Not even playfully. It was boring.

She didn’t think Nono realized that she was hurting her and for once, Aibon couldn’t bring herself to say anything about it. She squeezed the hand in her grip, drawing a glance from the older girl.

“What’s up?” Nono whispered gently against Aibon’s ear, sending warmth traveling from there to the younger’s heart.

“I love you.” The girl whispered back. She felt a hand touch her forehead and looked up into concerned eyes. “What?”

“Are you feeling alright? You’re never this quiet.”

Feeling insulted, Aibon crossed her arms, “See if I ever say that again, if this is the thanks I get.”

“Aw, c’mon Aibon, I didn’t mean it like that.” For once, their positions were reversed; Nono would have to do a lot of groveling to take back the effect of her words. The other girls watched in quiet amusement; it was rare to see them like this.

With a ‘Hmph,’ the younger girl slid down the booth to snuggle up to Yossui. Nono pouted and propped her head up with her elbows on the table, sulking quietly. Since nobody was sitting near her now, it seemed like she’d been left behind.

Conversation started again, mostly leaving Nono out, but Maki took pity on the girl and started talking to her. Finally, the food came, was quickly devoured, and they paid and headed for home. As they all stood to leave, Maki pulled Nono into a long hug, whispering a few words of encouragement in her ear. It seemed to brighten the girl instantly and she smiled up happily at the fish-faced one.

Aibon was decidedly not happy and latched herself to her girlfriend’s arm. Nono thought better about pulling away. They walked in silence for a while.

“I love you too.”

Aibon instantly forgave her.

Ah, five reviews is good enough.... I guess... So here's the first part of the Christmas Special! Wow, did anyone else hear that booming announcer? <_< >_> <_<

[Nono’s POV]

“Ah! It’s snowing!” I watched Aibon run to the balcony in nothing but shorts and a tank top and slide open the door, seeming surprised when cold air flowed in. I couldn’t help but laugh.

Before I could say anything vaguely witty, though, the phone rang. Being closest, I answered it, “Moshi moshi! You’ve reached the residence of Nono the lovely and Aibon the popsicle.” I heard her shout from somewhere in the coat closet and laughed again.

“Ah, Nono. It’s Yurina.” That’s Aibon’s mom. She’s way cool.

“Oh, hey Kago-san. Looking for your kid?” I started walking towards the closet, thankful for cordless phones.

“Of course honey, could you put her on?” I handed the phone to Aibon.

“Hi mom!” she tumbled out onto the floor, a few big coats breaking her fall. She didn’t get up, just continued her conversation. “Three days ‘til Christmas! What’re you going to get Dai?” Daisuke. He’s her little brother. I’ve seen pictures, he’s really cute.

“Oh really?” she said after a pause, “I think he’d enjoy that.” Another pause and her smile fades quickly. “I wish I could come home, but they’ve got us booked right up to Christmas Eve. And the day after.” I know she really wanted to be with her family, that’s all she’d talked about until we found out we were working.

The conversation moved onto more pleasant things, but her smile never quite returned. I sighed quietly. I hated seeing her sad.

Soon she said goodbye and hung up, tossing the phone across the room and onto the couch, “Well, let’s go watch the snow fall! It’s so romantic.” I had to agree with her there, but her cheer seemed a little forced.

We bundled up and sat together on a big lawn chair, watching the snow fall lazily on the city. Occasionally one of use would point something out, like a bird or a dog on the street below, but we were quiet for the most part. I kept thinking about what I could get Aibon as a present.

Yes I do leave my shopping to the last minute. Shut up, lots of people do!

My mind wandered back to her family. I decided that a phone call would have to be made, as soon as Aibon was asleep.

[Hitomi’s POV]

I looked into the shop windows, trying desperately to find that perfect gift for Rika. I wanted something meaningful, not just a trinket. Something like that wouldn’t do for our first Christmas together.

‘C’mon, get it together. Only two more days ‘til Santa rides.’ I’d just about given up on this mall, when suddenly, something shiny caught my eye. I pressed closer to the window and gazed into every girl’s wonderland.

A small shove from behind sent my head into the sturdy glass, “Hey! What gives!” the giggles gave her away, “Aibon!”

“Merry Christmas, Yocchan!” she pulled my face off the display, finally noticing what I was looking at, “Ooo. Gonna get something for Rika-chan in there? Seems expensive.”

“Cost isn’t what’s important. Although a good deal is helpful. What’re you doing here?”

“Last minute shopping.” ‘Of course.’ “Hey, think I could steal your idea?”

“You don’t even know my idea…”

“Well, I’ll buy Nono a necklace instead.”

“…”

“…”

“You did know my idea.”

“…You’re too obvious…”

After another second of trying to read each other’s minds, we decided to actually enter the store.

[Aibon’s POV]

I sighed, carefully placing another shiny decoration on our pitiful little tree. Aluminum. What kind of tree was that? It was also a little bare underneath it, just my gift to Nono and a couple presents to give to my family whenever I got a break. Then there were only her gifts to her parents and sister. Nothing for me.

I’m not needy!

The decoration fell off the tree, landing on the carpet and thankfully not breaking. I felt tears well up in my eyes.

I’m not needy, dangit!

Warm arms wrapped around me from behind and lips nuzzled the back of my neck. Even in my current state, a thrill ran down my spine. How is it that this girl can make me feel this way even when I want to be mad at her?

“Drop something?” I see the little festive ball appear from my right and my hand instinctively grasped it. Together, we hung the decoration on the tree. “I love you Aibon. So much.” Her lips are on my neck again and I know she’s doing this on purpose.

I grin, coming up with the perfect way to break the mood, “Oh, Maki.” The lips immediately leave and a hand swats my butt.

“You’re awful! Here I am, trying to be romantic, and you have to be fantasizing about the girl of my dreams!” About this time, we’re both holding back laughter.

“I thought you were having that affair with Kaorin?” If I turn around, I know I’m going to burst out laughing.

“Well I thought you were in love with Yossui?”

“I was!”

“Well what about me?” something in her tone tells me we’re not playing anymore.

I reach behind me and wrap her arms around me again, “You always come first. It’s you I come home to, not Yossui or Maki.”

She’s quiet for a long time and I know she wants to say something about the tree. Or maybe something about my missing present. She knows I know. “Be patient, love.”

I nod, of course I’ll wait. I’ll wait forever.

[Rika’s POV]

I clutched the bag in my lap self consciously. I hope that Hitomi would like hat I got her. We’d decided to exchange our gifts tonight, Christmas Eve, since we were going to spend tomorrow with our families, then have a yonki party later that night. Trying to calm my nerves, I listen to her putter around in her kitchen, her mom is out for the night; Yossui’s present to her was a trip to a spa. One day and one night.

I’m glad that we won’t be interrupted; I’m hoping to give her more than what’s in this bag tonight. The thought makes me blush.

Yossui setting the tea tray down on the table startled me out of naughty thoughts and I know she’s laughing at me. I don’t care.

“What’re you so red for?” she sits beside me and leans in close, eyeing me seductively. I’m not going to let her win.

“I was just thinking about what we could do tonight.” It’s her turn to blush. I grinned.

The atmosphere is relaxed and yet full of tension, we’re both enjoying it too much to break it. We sipped our tea and conversed about whatever came to mind, our plans for New Year’s and the Musume Christmas Party the day after. We discussed what we had gotten the others girls and how hard it was to shop for certain people.

I laughed when she told me the gag gift she got for Yaguchi and she shook her head when I told her that I was going to give Nakazawa an autographed picture of myself. I though it was funny.

After a while, we migrated up to her room and lounged on her bed side by side. It was silent for a long time.

“I love you.” she said, placing a small box on my belly.

Smiling at her, I opened the present slowly, savoring the suspense. It looked like a jewelry box, but nothing struck me as out of the ordinary until I flipped open the lid to see a beautiful matching ring set. Each had the same design, a long, warped pink stone entwined with a long, warped blue stone, set into a thin gold band.

Totally enraptured by the simple beauty, I barely noticed when Hitomi reached out and took one of the rings from the box, “The pink is you and the blue is me.” she gently slid the ring onto the middle finger of my left hand, after a moment of thought, I understood why and returned the favor, gripping her hand tightly.

“Hitomi. Does this mean what I think it means?” at her nod I lunged towards her and kissed her again and again on the cheeks, the lips, and her forehead. I couldn’t believe she was serious. No, I could believe it. “I’ll be yours for as long as you want me.”

We laid in silence for a moment again before it occurred to me to give her a present, too. I sat up and plopped a gift bag into her lap, “It’s not as beautiful as yours, but well.” Now I felt embarrassed. My gift was nothing special.

She tossed aside the tissue paper and pulled out a worn stuffed bunny. The pink had faded to white in some spots, his left arm had been sown back together more than once and his eye had gone missing when I was four. I probably ate it…

“His name is Mr. Hoppums.” I offered weakly, afraid of what she might say.

“Um, he’s cute?” She seemed a little lost.

I decided that maybe a little background was in order, “Okay, so I went to every mall in Tokyo and I found lots of things to buy, but I realized that none of them had any meaning. So I went home and I sat on my bed and I asked Mr. Hoppums, ‘What should I get Hitomi.’ He didn’t answer of course, but just talking to him made things a little better. Then it hit me!

I stood and started to pace around the small room, “Mr. Hoppums has been mine since before I was born and he’s always been there for me, through thick and thin. He never asks anything from me, never judges anything I say and always listens, no matter how trivial the problem is. And I thought that I want you to have him.”

I stopped and looked shyly at Hitomi, “He’s my heart.” I was hoping that maybe that would make more sense.

“And,” Hitomi started slowly, “You’re giving him to me?”

“Uh-huh. Please treat him well.”

She was quiet for a minute and I started to get nervous. I was just about to make a hasty escape when she smiled up at me widely, “Thank you. I love him.” I got the other meaning of her words.

And then my other expectations for tonight entered my head again. I reached out and took her hands, placing Mr. Hoppums to one side, bringing them up to my face and kissing her knuckles lightly. She pulled me down sharply into her lap, making me giggle.

Our lips met in a short kiss and I felt myself heat up considerably. We moved backwards on the bed so that Hitomi rested back against the pillow and I was sitting up on her hips, looking down into her eyes, “I love you.” I whispered.

“I want you.” she replied.

“Then have me.” I slowly stripped my shirt off and tossed it off the bed.

For a long time she just held me close and I rested curled up in her arms. She whispered her love in my ear and I kissed her, too tired to reply verbally. When I finally felt my strength return, I started laughing.

“What’s so funny?” Hitomi was understandably confused. Instead of answering, I just flipped us over so that I was on top.

“So, you up for another go?” I grinned at her wide-eyed look and wondered again what she tasted like.

[Nono’s POV]

I checked the clock again. 8:30 AM. Man, my mom was gonna kill me if I didn’t get over to her house soon, but I wasn’t gonna leave Aibon until her present arrived.

“You have somewhere better to be?” Aibon leaned back against me, sloshing water over the side of the tub. I wrapped my arms comfortably around her middle.

“My mom’s gonna be mad at me, I should have left a half hour ago.” I didn’t want to get up anyway, especially when she turned and snuggled into my shoulder.

“Let’s go watch cartoons.” she finally suggested, the water cold around us. We got out and pulled on big fluffy robes and went to go catch the last ten minutes of The Grinch. Ah, what a classic.

I heard her go rummage around in the kitchen, but didn’t look up from the Grinch’s awakening. This was the best part after all. A few minutes later, Aibon joined me, holding a box of cereal. She offered me some.

“So what’s happening?” she asked, probably sarcastically, after I’d taken a handful.

“Well, they were saying that his heart burst through his chest and ate the town.” Deadly serious, I popped a few sugary shapes into my mouth. Aibon shoved me.

“That’s not what you’re supposed to say!”

“What, you want the truth? We’ve both seen this every Christmas we can remember, you know the story like I do.”

“So?”

“So!?”

The doorbell interrupted our playful fight. I grinned, “You’re gonna want to get that.”

“Why me? You’ve got legs.”

“Trust me.” I figured if that rarely used phrase didn’t get her moving, nothing would, “It’s for you anyway.”

“How do you know?”

“Just answer the door.” The doorbell rang again and she finally got up off the couch. I turned to watch her eagerly.

When she opened the door, the look of surprise on her face was priceless; I wished I’d thought to have a camera handy. After the shock wore off though, she squealed and launched herself into her mother’s arms, sending the woman stumbling.

“Ohmigod! What are you guys doing here!” she ushered her mother and grandmother (holding Dai) inside, jumping around ecstatically. I was apparently forgotten.

“Well, Tsuji-chan called us and set up everything, got us plane tickets and a taxi for when we got here. It was pretty fancy, too. First class, all the way.” Aibon suddenly seemed to realize my plan, because she bounded towards me and jumped over the back of the couch, knocking us both off with a flying tackle.

“Thankyouthankyouthankyou! I love you, I’ll never doubt you again!” she was up off the ground before I could catch my breath.

“Um, no problem.” Actually it was a problem, but I didn’t want to tell her that I was almost broke now. She’d feel bad.

I decided to go get dressed and head off to see my own family. I slipped out of the room unnoticed and came back in, ready to go; I’d almost made it to the door before I was tackled again.

“Here!” A small box was shoved into my hands, “I was gonna wait and give this to you when we got together with the others tonight, but since I got my present, you should get your’s.” Before I could reply, she had kissed me and shoved me out the door. I laughed to myself.

The wrapping was gone in an instant and I stared at the long, blue velvet box in my hands. Jewelry, it had to be. I gently pried the box open and revealed a simple gold necklace with an intertwined A and N charm. I felt tears well up in my eyes, it was perfect.

Slipping the necklace on, I walked downstairs to hail a taxi.

[Hitomi’s POV]

I threw myself into the shady booth, sliding halfway around to give Rika enough room to get in comfortably. She quickly sidled up next to me and I watched the two trouble makers slip in on the other side. They’d done nothing but make noise the whole car ride over.

“Will you two shut up once you get some food in your mouths?” They nodded happily with simultaneous ‘hai!’s. “Alright, I’ll buy then. Merry Christmas.” I felt Rika giggle against me at their ecstatic smiles.

“Thank you!” Aibon said for them both, seeing as Nono was already lost in her menu.

Our conversation was mostly about food until the waiter arrived to take our order, then it moved onto what we’d done with our families.

“We just hung around the house, exchanged gifts and watched old cartoons. I was almost sad to leave but I wanted to see you guys.” Aibon looked extremely pleased with her day, even though she’d just lazed around.

“My whole family was there, my cousins from Hokkaido came down with a new baby and I played with him all day. I saw all the people I had forgotten I was related to, even Aunt Megumi, who my mom can’t stand. She’s super cool though, always gives me the best presents. This year, she got me a bunny! Said she saw how much I liked the one on the show and knew she had to get it for me. Then…” I tuned Nono’s excited chatter out and turned to Rika, curled silently in the crook of my arm.

“What about you? How was your Christmas?” I almost jumped when her hand slid up my thigh.

“It was everything I dreamed of. I couldn’t stop thinking about you or your presents to me all day.” She lifted her ring so that it caught the light, while gently running her nails along the seam in my jeans. I blushed.

“Want to relive it later?” I leaned down and breathed lightly into the shell of her ear.

Her hand reaching up to unbutton my pants was answer enough and I pulled her off to the restroom with me. Merry Christmas, indeed.

People are reading it, but perhaps just not posting since a lot of what they want to say has probably been said already.

With that being said, I personally loved how you did the "awkwardness" with IshiYoshi in the most recent chapter. It really gives a feel of how innocent and how in love they are.

I'm back! An here's the first chapter of 2001!

“Happy New Year!!” Nono cried, jumping into the room. Everyone stared at her.

“Tsuji, stop being dumb.” Yaguchi threw a shoe at the girl, narrowly missing her head. Hitomi cringed, knowing that Nono was not going to make it out of the room unscathed.

“Didn’t we already have the new year’s party?” Kaori pointed out, not looking anywhere but at the reflection of her brushing her own hair blankly. Yaguchi reached across her to grab a compact, which she chucked at Nono again. The compact flew by Nono’s ear, making her hair flutter, and clattered against the wall behind her.

Starting to feel slightly alarmed, Yossui stood, intending to shoo the girl out of the room, “Why don’t you go play with Aibon?”

“Aibon’s not here.” Nono sulked. Inside the room, about three relieved cheers went up, while Yaguchi dropped her rolled up magazine.

“Not here? Where is she?” Yossui directed Nono out the door and they started walking down the hall.

“She took a week off to go back to Nara. After all, she didn’t get to see her father this- last year.”  Though she spoke lightly, Nono seemed really down.

“You’re lonely.” Yossui realized, pausing mid step, “Aibon’s the only one your age around here.” A wave of sympathy washed over her, poor Nono.

Nono just nodded, reaching up to take Yossui’s hand. What if it was Rika? Would I feel the same? Yossui patted the girl on the head, “Hey, you can hang with me and Rika until she gets back.”

“Really?” Nono’s eyes lit up and Yossui just knew she would regret saying that, but now what else could she do?

“Sure, it’s no problem.” Nono threw her arms around Yossui’s waist. Aww, that was so cute. Rika was still gonna kill her.

“Thanks Yocchan, I promise to be quiet. I just don’t want to be alone.” Nono’s tiny voice was muffled in Yossui’s sweater.

Rika rounded the corner about then and took in the scene in front of her. “Aww, what’s wrong?” She walked over and patted Nono on the head. Yossui quietly explained the situation while steering them all towards her and Rika’s dressing room.

“So I kinda said that we would keep her company.” Yossui rubbed the back of her head, expecting the worst.

“I’m glad you did.” At Yossui’s confused look, Rika went on, “You know I adore Nono, I don’t mind spending large amounts of time with her. Besides, she could use the company.” Rika pointed over to where Nono was quietly playing with a hair brush and some lipstick. She looked lost.

“Yeah, you’re right, but we shouldn’t feel sorry for her. Let’s just play with her.” Yossui walked closer to the young girl, “What are you doing?”

“I’m playing.”

“Playing what?” Yossui couldn’t help grinding her teeth at Nono’s short answer. Behind her, Rika giggled.

“Playing ‘Vanity Fair.’ See, Rika-chan’s hair brush doesn’t know that her lipstick is cheating on him with the compact. And the compact’s kids, the two smallest make-up brushes, don’t like the lipstick at all and they want to find the hair brush and tell him everything.” Yossui was fairly boggled.

“Um, how did you come up with that?” Rika was cracking up somewhere in the background.

Nono looked at Yossui like she was stupid, “TV.”

“…Stop watching soaps…”

“No.”

“Whatever. Have fun.” Yossui joined the still laughing Rika at the low table, “She’ll be fine.”

She didn’t notice Mr. Hair Brush slowly choking Mrs. Lipstick to death behind her.

---That's so messed up....And random.

So if Aibon was here, they'd be playing this too? XD And I always had the impression that a hair brush would be a girl, but since Ms. Lipstick already got that covered... :P so the compact's kids were the ones he had with the lipstick? But then she gave birth to make-up BRUSHES... THEY'RE REALLY MR. HAIR BRUSH'S KIDS, AREN'T THEY!?

This chapter was really random though,  I could've NEVER guessed this was coming. Great job :D

No, see, the compact had two kids by a big make-up brush who died five years ago. The compact then started dating the annoying Ms. Lipstick, who is like the evil stepmother to his kids. His kids found out that Ms. Lipstick was already married and decided to tell Mr. Hairbrush and let him deal with her. And the reason Mr. Hairbrush is a guy is because it's a stately, expensive brush...

Honestly, I think if Nono stated playing like that around Aibon, she would be teased mercilessly for the rest of her life.

Yay, 13 people like my story! It says 14 but I voted on my own poll, lol. Guess what I chose?

Nono sighed, tossing a broken candle behind her. That was the third one today; she had to find a new way to amuse herself. Aibon had only been gone four days and she just felt so down. She really wished that her girlfriend would hurry home.

‘She is home.’ Nono thought miserably. She didn’t understand why she felt so awful, though. She’d lived twelve years without that girl, why couldn’t she go seven days? It was kinda like what Nono thought drugs might be like.

Yossui and Rika had been nice enough to let her play with them, but they needed to be alone together too, so Nono had gone to her and Aibon’s dressing room and started using the table like a drum. Hence the broken candles.

Now officially out of things to do, Nono just sat at the vanity, staring blankly at her reflection. Her eyes began to blur, but she didn’t bother to blink, so focused was she on her boredom. Nono didn’t even notice when the door opened and a certain someone entered the room quietly.

Nono did, however, notice when small hands covered her eyes and a familiar voice whispered against her ear, “Guess who?”

“Aibon!” In one smooth motion, Nono turned her chair, leapt out of it, and tackled Aibon to the table top behind her. “What are you doing here? You’re not supposed to be back for three more days!”

Struggling to regain her breath, Aibon just patted Nono on the head, “Well, I missed you, so I decided to come back early. I see that you felt the same.”

Nono nodded, face buried in Aibon’s shoulder and tear welling up in her eyes. She was so happy that she just wanted to cry, so she did.

“Aww, don’t do that, you’ll get me started.” But it was too late for Aibon and they both just cried together happily for a while. When the tears subsided, the giggles started, “You need to relax more.”

“Relax? I was freaking out.” The two shared a quick kiss, now in much higher spirits.

“Ah.” Aibon sighed, “It’s good to be home. Home is where the heart is, you know, and mine is always with you.”

The sweet words almost sent Nono into tears again, but instead, she kissed Aibon again. It was slow this time, gentle and deep, their tongues caressing each other. When it was over, both girls were blushing and panting for breath.

“Welcome home.”

---I originally couln't think of something for Nono to break so I asked my friend for an object. The first thing he said was broadsword (W.O.W. freak) XD The images that brought to my mind had me rolling for days afterward.

Oops, a little late again.. :evil:  wow, didn't expect a complicated story behind the hairbrush, lipstick, and the compact :o

Yay, Aibon is back, Vanity Fair (I remembered the name!?) won't have to continue anymore :D

Quote
“Ah.” Aibon sighed, “It’s good to be home. Home is where the heart is, you know, and mine is always with you.”

^ Cute :heart: :heart: It's amazing that someone her age can think of something like this though, makes it cuter :heart:

And yeah, you were probably the one that went to the liquor store instead :doh:

As long as someone reads and comments on my stories (any of them) I'm gonna keep posting my overly romantic crap. But at least this one's developing a plot.

“What did you do to your arm?” Rika lightly touched the bandage on Aibon’s upper arm, watching her flinch.

“Ow, I really wish you guys would stop touching that, it hurts!” Aibon pouted, shielding her wound from any more harm.

“Sorry, but what happened?” Rika stuffed her hands into her pockets to resist touching the off-white bandage again.

“I burned myself. With a curling iron.” There was something strange about the way Aibon answered, almost as if it was scripted, but she’d never lied before, so Rika didn’t know what that looked like.

“Okay.” Rika responded uncertainly, watching as Aibon immediately scampered off to go play on the other side of the room.

“She lied.” Maki was suddenly just behind Rika, making her jump. “Aibon won’t tell anyone how she really got that burn, not even me.”

“She’ll tell Nono.” Rika nodded at the two sitting close together on the sofa.

“I bet she wouldn’t come right out and say that somebody hurt her. It’ll take a guilt trip for that to happen.” Maki crossed her arms and leaned back against the wall, eyes glued on her kouhai.

“Aibon’s surprisingly remorseless. I think sometimes she just doesn’t get it, that the things she says can hurt people.” Maki nodded in agreement.

For a moment, the two just stood silently, a sort of understanding passing between them, then Maki pushed off the wall and patted Rika’s shoulder in a friendly manner, “I got something to do, see you later.” Rika nodded after her, and then was alone.

She didn’t like being alone, especially these days, there was always so much going on that when she had time to think, all that came out were negative thoughts. She wondered for a moment if that’s what depression was like.

A warm arm slipping around her waist snapped her out of her trance, “Hey pretty thing, what are you doing?” It was a well kept secret that Nacchi was a huge flirt.

Feeling a blush rise into her face, Rika smiled at her senpai, “Nothing, just thinking.”

“Thinking about what?” Nacchi inquired, leaning closer. Rika found herself unable to speak.

“You making moves on my girl, Nacchi?” Kei sidled up to them, arms crossed in a threatening manner.

“You bet I am!” Nacchi smiled cheerfully pulling Rika a little closer, “What’cha gonna do about it, auntie?”

Kei made a shocked expression, and then feigned a left hook to Nacchi’s ribs.  Abe immediately countered with a slow-mo jab to Kei’s face and the battle was on. Quickly forgotten, Rika stepped around the two, slinking over to the opposite corner, in front of the couch that the twins were sitting on. Glancing at the two, they appeared to be in a deep discussion of some sort, though looks could be deceiving with those two.

Looking around at the chaos in the dressing room, Rika’s depressing thoughts began to come back. She wondered what any of these people knew about her, if they even cared at all. Rika shook her head, trying to rid herself of those destructive paths. Of course they cared about her, well, Nono, Aibon, Kei, and Hitomi did anyway, but that was enough.

Suddenly very tired, Rika sat down heavily in a folding chair, not even noticing the loud metallic sound that suddenly made her center of attention. She sighed and massaged her temples painfully, wondering how long that migraine had been coming. She was surprised when two pairs of small arms encircled her and looked up at Aibon and Nono in questioning.

“You looked like you really needed a hug.” Nono shrugged cutely. Rika smiled happily for the first time that day.

This is the last chapter I have prepared so enjoy the hint of plot while it lasts.

Aibon hissed through her teeth, gently rubbing the burn ointment into her still tender wound. That was going to scar. “Let me see?” Nono’s voice suddenly behind her startled Aibon into dropping the tube of ointment on the floor.

“Jeez!” Aibon clutched at her heart, watching Nono bend down to retrieve the tube. “You scared the crap out of me!”

“Let me see.” Nono put a little of the clear ointment on her thumb, reaching out and grasping Aibon’s upper arm lightly and beginning to very gently rub the stuff into her burn. Aibon gave a pre-flinch, expecting pain and was surprised when there was none. She marveled at this for a minute.

“You’re the only person that doesn’t hurt me, you know that?” Aibon caught Nono’s eye and held it for a moment.

“I want to know who hurt you like this.” It was obvious that Nono was talking about the jagged burn that rested underneath her finger.

“You promise not to tell?” Aibon leaned close to Nono and rested their foreheads together.

“Yeah, I guess.” Nono pouted, knowing that if Aibon had to ask, it was probably something that should be told to an adult.

“Daddy did it.” Nono’s eyes widened, unable to comprehend for a moment what was said.

“Your dad hurt you like this?” It was unheard of, fathers are supposed to protect their daughters from injury not cause it!

“Yeah, but I deserved it. Because of me, Dai was almost really hurt and Daddy was just scared. He’s never hurt me before and I don’t think he’d ever hurt me again.” No matter how Aibon defended him, it still wasn’t right.

“Aibon, you have to tell somebody.” Nono wiped her thumb off and stroked her girlfriend’s cheek worriedly.

Knowing that she was quickly losing this battle, Aibon thought fast, “It has never happened before. As in, this was the first, and only, time Daddy has punished me. Mom usually takes care of that and Mom is much scarier.”

Sighing, Nono gave up her argument, for now, “All right, but if this ever happens again, I’m telling someone about it. And you know you can’t hide bruises and stuff from me when we take baths together every night.”

“Thank you.” Aibon breathed out in relief; if she could get Nono off her back, then that left no more questions. As if in apology though, she reached out and embraced her girlfriend’s torso, laying her head on Nono’s chest over her heart. She felt a gentle hand stroke her hair and everything was back to normal again.

I have no idea what they're like in real life, but I doubt Aibon's father hurt her. I'm just twisting the plot. Actually, I'm pretty sure she had that scar before joining Momusu, but what the heck.

BTW, is it true that Rika has asthma? I've heard that from two different sources.

Actually, I just realized that my updates are kinda short. Oh well, I've had writers block.

Hitomi panted, too out of breath to even take a drink of water. Next to her, Rika slumped onto some stairs, sweat plastering her bangs to her face. Around the room, similar signs of exhaustion showed on the other members and Hitomi felt a little better about herself.

The winter concert was already into its third show and their trainer was working them to the edge of death. This show had to be special because it was going to be the last one before Yuko would announce her graduation.

“Alright everyone, back up! Break’s over!” the instructor called, motioning them into the middle of the stage. Everyone groaned, but complied, some a little slower than others.

Raising an eyebrow, Hitomi watched Nono clutch her chest and cough once, before forcibly relaxing and joining the group. Hmm, that was weird.

Getting into formation behind Yaguchi, Yossui took a second to study her surroundings. The stage had been set up with a big catwalk extending out into the audience and widening into a square to give them room to dance on. The main stage had exits stage right and stage left and there was also an opening downstage center that was hidden from view by a platform and stairs.

Standing far stage left, Yossui could make out Ootani Masae and Shibata Ayumi watching in fascination and remembered that they had only been in Hello!Pro just a little longer than she had. She didn’t really know any of the Melon girls personally, but Rika got along with them all well, so they couldn't be all bad.

The intro to the song started and Yossui felt her feet start moving before she realized what was happening. With her mind wandering, she went through the steps and sang her lines, feeling her eyes begin to glaze over. A sudden jolt brought her back to the present, and Hitomi realized that she had caught a stumbling Nono before she hit the ground.

“I’m tired.” She complained, sounding honestly exhausted. Kaori walked over to them and bent down to be at eye level with Nono.

“Do we need to stop for the night? It’s alright, we’re all tired, so we can just tell the instructor to call it a day.” Something defensive passed through Nono’s eyes and she ripped herself from Hitomi’s grasp, standing up straighter.

“No I’m all right. I can do it, let’s go.” And she moved back to her starting position. Hitomi looked after her worriedly, hoping she wasn’t working too hard.

Nono put everything she had into the practice and they were done sooner than expected. ‘Oh, I guess Nono’s feeling better.’ Hitomi turned around to pack her stuff up, missing Nono clutching her chest again.

Plotting relationships.

Still humming the tune to Mini Moni’s new single, Nono entered their shared dressing room and stretched leisurely. Yaguchi, Mika, and Aibon followed closely behind, each taking a seat on the three person couch. Nono pouted, not finding anywhere comfortable to sit now.

“You snooze, you lose.” Aibon laughed, patting her lap invitingly. As if in punishment, Nono instead took a seat on Mika’s lap, curling up comfortably and closing her eyes.

Startled, Mika wasn’t sure what to do, her hands hovering above the younger girl’s back. Hesitantly, she rested her arms around Nono.

Nono could feel surprised looks on her and struggled to hold back a fanged grin. She’d been polite to Mika since the girl first joined Mini Moni, but she’d never really played with her like she did with Aibon and Yaguchi. It was time to change that.

“Guess she’s not mad at you anymore.” Nono heard Aibon shift over Yaguchi and take the spot next to her and Mika. Yaguchi grumbled unhappily, but moved over.

“She was mad?” Mika whispered, bewildered. Nono almost giggled, but held still, Aibon would explain.

“Oh yes. Nono’s never forgiven you for joining Mini Moni. You were a stranger and we already knew each other.” A hand started stroking Nono’s back and she recognized Aibon’s touch. The combination of her girlfriend’s soothing voice and gentle hands made Nono feel a little sleepy. She settled more into Mika.

“I had no idea. I always thought she was okay with it.” Mika sounded a bit offended and guilt washed over Nono.

“Don’t feel bad, she’s not upset, so you shouldn’t be either.” Aibon logic. “Anyway, there are not a lot of people she’ll snuggle up to like that, you should feel honored.” Yaguchi snorted from somewhere at the other end of the couch.

“The brat tried it one me once, just shove her off if you don’t want her there.” Nono felt Mika’s light hold on her tighten.

“No, it’s okay. So who else does she do this to?” The question seemed to be directed back at Aibon.

“Me, of course, Rika-chan, Kaorin, and Nakazawa-san, on slow days.” Nono heard Yaguchi snort again and cracked open an eye to glare at her.

“Yuu-chan actually let one of you kids get that close to her? I can’t believe that.” Aibon huffed and Nono smiled at her cute pout, before closing her eye again.

“Nakazawa-san loves us. More than she loves you anyway. Her lap is always open when we’re tired.”

Laughing, Yaguchi couldn’t form words for a while. When she finally did, it was not what either girl wanted to hear, “Yuu-chan objected to you from the start. She’s always said, ever since Maki, that Momusu was deteriorating and becoming something other than what they started. We’re not a kid’s show, that’s what Mini Moni is for.”

“Well, now I’m not talking to you, Yagu-san.” Aibon huffed and turned back to Mika, “See what we have to put up with?”

Mika’s deep chuckles vibrated against Nono’s face and lulled her into that place between asleep and awake. When words were said, Nono couldn’t understand what was going on and the only thing she could concentrate on was the soothing warmth that seemed to surround her. All the stress of the last few days left her, and Nono drifted off to sleep.

Gah, haven't checked fanfics section for a long time. Right before Christmas does mean huge amounts of work >_<..

Aibon + Nono + Mari's relationship with Mika in the beginning of Mini Moni is really something to think about though, there must've been some sort of awkwardness there.

Aah, Nono... I really hope she's okay :( At least no sign of whatever's happening to her for now.

Even though nothing much happened in the previous chapter, it'll probably really build up all the plot-y drama-y stuff happening later. So don't get discouraged from the lack of reviews, we'll still be looking forward to your next update :) If you're still having your writer's block, take your time.

Oh alright, I'll post my crappy filler. Jeez, lol.

Welcome morello! I'm glad that you enjoy my fics and I promise to start posting again soon.

The dark room was filled with smoke and a sickening medley of colors lit the wall right above her head. The four person couch was crowded about six people past capacity and everyone was having a different conversation, either with themselves or with the unresponsive person next to them. Nothing made sense anymore and the sentences around her became increasingly confusing and hard do decipher. Still…

Rika found herself laughing along with her new-found and very high friends. The tour wasn’t quite over, but the Melons were already celebrating. Usually any kind of drug use would make Rika nervous, but it was just the girls. That and she was probably getting a contact buzz.

“You sure you don’t want a little of this? It’s really good stuff.” Shibata leaned a little too far into Rika’s shoulder, nearly sending both off the couch, holding a lit joint. Rika coughed a few times before choking out an answer.

“I shouldn’t smoke. Asthma.” Shibata nodded in understanding and passed the blunt to Masae, on Rika’s other side.

“The only thing else we have is E and some heron… heroine.” Ayumi giggled at her mistake.

“No thanks, Shibata-san, I’m fine.” Rika waved her hand, and felt Ayumi’s arm wrap around her shoulders.

“Now, Rika-chan, there’s no need to be so formal. And it’s cool if you want to be clean, I’m just trying to get you to have a little fun.” The normally laid back girl was even more so high, it was an amazing thing to see.

“Okay, Shiba-chan. Thanks, but I don’t need anything, right now.” A dark part of Rika toyed with the thought of the effects of some of the drugs around her, but she shook it off. Drugs were bad. Period.

“You know, I could set you up with anything you want. Just say the word and I’ll take care of you. I like you Rika-chan; I’d do that for you. And not just drugs, neither, but any kind of alcohol you need, come to me for it. I’ll get it to you half out of my own pocket.” Rika thanked Ayumi sincerely, it was a sweet offer.

Maybe drugs weren’t so bad. Ayumi and the other girls were normal during the day and really relaxed at night. Rika could use a little relaxation.

No, no drugs, no matter how nice people were on them, it was still a problem, an illness and an addiction. None of the other Musume would ever support that kind of habit.

‘But Shiba-chan would.’ something whispered deep inside Rika’s mind. The voice sounded vaguely like Yaguchi.

‘Shiba-chan’s sick.’ whispered another voice, sounding suspiciously like Kaori. ‘And for hearing us, you’re sick too.’

Oh, crap. “Hey, Shiba-chan? I think I need some air.” Drugs are bad, but Rika wasn’t sure if she could convince herself of that forever.

----And Shiba-chan's problem is introduced. Dun-dun-duuunnnn...

Go Druggie!Melons, go! I really don't like the beginning of this chapter, it's so rushed. I apologize.

“Okay, once more.” the intro to Mini Moni’s new single started again and Aibon stepped back into her position, checking herself in the wall mirrors, as she liked to call the floor to ceiling mirrors in front of her.

Falling easily into the routine, Aibon marveled at how much the room looked like the ones at the TV Tokyo building, right down to the pattern on the floors. Actually that pattern wasn’t really unique. Anyway, they weren’t at TV Tokyo at the convenience of their crab-loving instructor, but she was cool so they didn’t mind the ride uptown.

Bringing her mind back into focus, Aibon turned just in time to see Nono sink to her knees with her hands clutched to her chest. For a second, Aibon thought she had tripped, but then she realized that Nono was gasping for breath, a pained look on her face.

Any angry response Yaguchi was about to deliver about the girl screwing up the dance left her at the sight, “Tsuji, are you okay?” the other four people in the room ran over to Nono and crouched down around her.

Gasping and coughing, Nono could barely get out any words, “I… can’t breathe!”

Recognizing her symptoms, Aibon sprung into action, “Do you have an inhaler?” She sat behind her girlfriend, helping to prop her upright.

Nono silently pointed to her gym bag in the corner and Aibon indicated for Mika to bring it over. The bag was at her fingertips in half a second. It took a bit of digging through junk to find the rarely used inhaler, but by the time Aibon had it in hand, Nono’s eyes were starting to flutter dangerously.

Trying her hardest to keep calm, Aibon shook the container and gently placed the mouthpiece in between Nono’s lips, squeezing until that puffing sound was heard. Nono coughed, sluggishly turning her head to the side. Aibon felt panic set in.

“Breathe in, you have to breathe it in for it to work, you have to know that.” She tried once more, puffing the inhaler and watching Nono wheeze in the medication. Then again and a third time, watching in relief as her breaths became stronger and she started coughing. Everyone around them suddenly exhaled at once and Aibon remembered that she could get them to help.

“Call the hospital-“ she started, interrupted when Nono choked out something unintelligible. “What?” Aibon leaned closer, turning her ear to hear better.

“No ambulance, please. I don’t want anyone to know.” Nono’s voice was barely a whisper and it took a second for what she said to sink in. When it did, though, Aibon immediately protested.

“What are you? Crazy? You’ve just had a serious attack and you need to get checked out.” Nono gripped her arm frantically, almost painfully.

“Please, no ambulance. I’ll go to the doctor’s, but not in one of those evil boxes.” In her desperation, Nono’s voice got stronger, “Sensei has a car, she can drive. I’ll walk, please anything but that.” She started to cough and Aibon placed the inhaler back at her lips. Nono took a few more puffs, and then forcibly relaxed with a sigh.

“I’ll take her.” Sensei volunteered selflessly, still looking a little freaked out. Yaguchi and Mika helped Nono to her feet, treating her as if she would break apart at any second. Nono gathered the energy to look annoyed, coughing twice. Aibon thrust the inhaler under her nose.

“I know I’m going to live to regret this day.” Nono mumbled as she was helped out the door, glaring at her girlfriend.

Woohoo, first day of freedom (for me) and I see a new chapter :D

Hmm, I'm not completely understanding Nono's situation right now, not familiar with sicknesses or anything like that... asthma, like Rika? :o I can't believe they only found out now if it really is asthma :ONfrustrated:

Happy Holidays to everyone here too :)

I've already given enough spoilers, so no more.

Hitomi watched the press conference in her dressing room with a sort of melancholy. Yuko was officially announcing her graduation and no one wanted to miss this historic event. Well, not historic really, maybe only in H!P, or maybe just her. Anyway, she didn’t want to miss the news afterwards.

There was suddenly a knock at the door, but before she could react, Nono burst into the room with a wild-eyed look on her face. Hitomi blinked, watching the girl throw herself into a small locker and shut the door. A moment later Aibon poked her head in the room.

“You seen Nono?” she questioned worriedly.

“Nope.” The reply was instantaneous.

Hitomi watched Aibon sigh and leave, and then turned back to the locker. “Okay, clear.”

The small door creaked open and Hitomi could see Nono’s big eyes peer out. “Are you sure?” at the older girl’s conformation, the Mini Moni member crawled out and made her way over to Hitomi, “Thanks.”

Hitomi shrugged, not bothering to ask. It didn’t really matter in the long run anyway. “Have a seat.” She gestured to what was usually Rika’s seat, watching as Nono flopped down into it. “You talked to Yuko today?”

“Not really. I was kinda nervous.” The childish confession made a small voice inside Yossui’s head go ‘Awww!’

“Why?” Yossui clenched her chair in an effort to not just cuddle the smaller girl. That would be embarrassing.

“I dunno. Just because.”

“…Has anyone ever told you that you are insanely cute?”

“Yeah, once or twice. I’ll grow out of it soon.” Nono reached up and turned the television to cartoons. “Aren’t you going to ask what I’m doing in here?”

“No.”

“Thanks.”

-----This chappie is dedicated to Minoga, for the mention in the intro thread! Not much of an honor, but hey, you know, it got up quick. I hope to see a few fics with your name on them dude. In a language I understand.

First of all: Josh, damn you! You know I suck at reading katakana! And I only know, like, two kanji! But thanks for the review.

Second: Yay for random lurking Canadians. I'm glad to meet another fan of old school Momusu.

And lastly: The update is going to take a while, for all my stories. I have the next chapter half written, but I can only bring myself to write one or two lines a day. At that rate, well, it's gonna be a long wait. Unless I can get motivated!

*chant* Motivated! Motivated! Down right motivated! You check us out, you check us out! Huah! *evil flashbacks of school*

Bump!

“Stop it!” Nono pushed Aibon’s hand away, rising from the floor under her own power. “Leave me alone!”

“But Nono-“ Aibon started, only to be cut off.

“No! Go away; I don’t need your help.” Nono dusted off her pants and started walking away from the wreckage of what had been the lounge. She stepped over a fallen couch and had almost made it to the hallway, when she found her way blocked by her girlfriend. “Damn you!”

“Nono, please sit down before you have another attack.” Nono laughed humorlessly.

“First of all, sit where?” she gestured to a chair that had been broken in half in their struggles. “And second, I’m not going to have another attack. Not so soon, anyways.”

“Why? Why didn’t you tell anyone?” Aibon shoved Nono, making her stumble backwards.

“Because I didn’t want this! I knew you guys would treat me differently if you knew so I kept quiet. I didn’t want to be babied.” Nono glared as hard as she could, trying to make her girlfriend just drop the subject, “I don’t want to fight over this, but I’m not backing down until you do. Besides, I’m not the only one with asthma, Rika has it too.”

“I didn’t just watch Rika almost die though!” Aibon shoved Nono again, unable to express her frustration any other way.

“I didn’t almost die!” Nono shoved her back, surprised that the commotion hadn’t attracted attention.

“Don’t lie; I’ve seen asthma attacks before! I know what I’m talking about. You looked just like my cousin did before he stopped breathing. Before the paramedics brought him back.” Aibon’s voice became quieter with each word until Nono had to strain to hear her. The confession was surprising.

“What was I supposed to say? I lied to Tsunku about my medical records. How could I just take that back?” Nono slumped against the wall beside her, suddenly feeling very tired, “Just drop it.”

“I can’t just drop it! I’m worried about you.” Aibon inched closer, her hand reaching out and hovering over Nono’s shoulder. Slowly, she placed it on the spot where Nono’s sleeve had once been, caressing the bared skin lightly. “I love you Nono.”

“Then trust me when I say that I’m fine.” Nono pulled Aibon close, her hand slipping into the back of her shirt through a rip in the side.

Nono felt Aibon nod against her shoulder, “Okay.” Nono silently cheered, knowing that she had won, “Okay, let’s go eat and you can tell me how your mom’s liking her new house.”

Aibon pulled back and smiled and led Nono away by the hand and while everything seemed back to normal, Nono felt a shadow pass between them.

---I think it's kinda stupid but oh well.

*bops on the head* What is it with you and thinking your stuff is bad >__>

Hm...I'm assuming Aibon managed to ambush Nono sometime after she left Yossie. Wow, barely out of the hospital and already being hounded; I liked the confrontation (must've been big if they tore up the lounge o_o), and the explanation of why Aibon is acting the way she is. The make up was cute and the ending gives me a sense of doom. Or at least that something will come between the twins. Gah, cliffhangers

Ah well, I await the next chapter eagerly! <3

*rubs head* I'm actually building up this world for another story I'm thinking up. Yes another one. An alternate Universe thing filled with what-if's and stuff.

Poor Nono, it really sucks being babied about things like that.  But poor Aibon too, it probably scared her just as much if not more so that Nono.  Leave it to those two to end off their argument with going to get food though!

I was planning to have updates of all my stories up this week, but my computer crashed and my chapters never got finished. I was also going to have up the first pilot chapter of my new story for Kago's birthday but it's only half finished. Le sigh.

This makes me sad...:cry:  Well done! It's not stupid at all! Quite enjoyed a little Aibon/Nono tearing up the place action.  Still always lurking, still always enjoying! :heart: Keep it up!
