WICHITA, Kan. Aug. 18 - A teenager has achieved a rare feat: perfect scores on both the American College Testing exam and the SAT.
Jakub Voboril, 17, a senior at Bishop Carroll High School, learned last month that he had scored a 36 on his ACT, which he took in June. His perfect score, one of only two in Kansas on the June test, came after he scored 32 and 34 on his first two tries.
"Part of me said, 'That's good enough. You can stop there,"' he said. "But I decided to take it one more time to see what happened."
He took the SAT the same week. Those results - a perfect 2400 - came in shortly after he got his ACT scores.
Voboril comes from good genes: his two older sisters were high school valedictorians. He hasn't settled on a college or major, but has considered math, philosophy and law, possibly at the University of Notre Dame or Princeton.
He said he didn't have an answer for how he scored so well.
"It's weird, because before I took it, I checked out a couple books from the library. I expected there to be this big secret that all the smart people had that I just had to read.

Bastard <_
-
WTH... My ACT score wasn't even near a 30. Seeing this just makes me feel stupid. :(
-
That's just crazy! Wow. Well he has his choice of any college now I'm sure XD
-
He probably took one of those photographic memory courses and "cheated" unlike the rest of us using less than 10% of our brains' full potential.
-
That's me!
-
It's a good thing standardized testing isn't ridiculous. If I remember correctly, all of the SAT I took was multiple choice. Doesn't exactly show your actual ability with material. :sweatdrop: Most of my teachers in high school didn't care for standardized testing, and neither do I.
-
How do they know he didn't cheat? Seams a bit too perfect to me!
-
You know what the funny thing is? This guy's gonna get a job and his boss is probably gonna be a B or B+ student.
-
^ Yeah pretty much anyone he works for; he'll have on his resume " I scored higher then you bastards on the SAT and all I got was this stupid job "
-
Screw those people who got extreme high marks in tests/exams!
They all end up being big bastards!!!
:P
-
Hey that Nobel Prize winner is pretty smart and he was literally unemployed for like 6 months
-
I think the results of a couple tests are overrated. They don't really prove anything. Hopefully he doesn't let it go to his head.
-
If it does, college/university life will probably bring him back to reality.
-
I'll bribe that dude to be my helper on the SAT , so that i can get perfect too
-
If you're cute enough, and you're a girl, you can get a perfect score. You just have to seriously jeopardize your morality.
Or you can do it the honorable way- study your brains out, bake them at 350 degrees until crisp, but some frosting and candles on top, blow them out, and then shovel it back in.
^_^ That's how EYE study. And I havv purfict spelingangrama'.

SAT and ACT mean much less than they're played up to be.
just wait until you take MCATs or LSATs, or any other post-grad certification exam.
and as a note to all you people getting ready to take SATs for college, i got a 1340 (of 1600, the 'old' test) and got into an ivy league, while there were plenty of people who did better than i who were waitlisted.
numbers only go so far. you'll be surprised at how interested colleges are about that personality behind those test scores.
-
i dont think those tests will ammount to much in the long run.. but im not from america so iw ouldnt know.. :P
-
kill him > extract his brain > implant it in my head....
so that i can say "i scored full mark on SAT too... with this brain~" x_X

The LSAT wasn't that bad. :D
