Yeah. And if you search for "GAM" on the website, all they show is their current single and that's it, they don't show an up-coming one (well, yet anyways).

I suggest people don't get their hopes up too soon :neutral:

I remember Miki saying MM is too busy that she and Tsunku put solo career on standby. Now GAM's 2nd single is just two weeks before MM's 31st. I mean, come on. That's not busy? Graduate Miki, and, if any, resume her solo career and keep GAM :D

Everytime I see "Piano version" I think of Ayu's HEAVEN and it's piano ver. Just as great as [SIZE=-1]What You’re Made Of (Lucie Silvas) piano ver too. So I wish Melodies is a power ballad showing both great voices.

Renai Sentai Shitsu Ranger was a double A-side, though, and had two PVs and a bunch of TV appearances.  H!P was simply trying to milk Nacchi's return from suspension, which allowed them to fit their top 3 soloists into a single tour.  Bigger crowds, lower cost, lots of profit.  A GAM tour will be more difficult because Miki is still a member of Morning Musume, and that would mean she'd either have to skip out on the Momusu Spring/Fall tour or (and this is more likely) GAM would be a center piece in one of the big H!P Summer/Winter tours.  Still, I'd love to see a proper GAM tour, we'd get more than just one miki solo per concert!  We could get two, or even three!! XD

C-ute...maybe. But a couple members of MM? That's not gonna happen. They wouldn't split MM up, even if it's just temporarily, to accompany GAM on a tour.  When you take THIS fact into consideration, it's likely that the only way for GAM to go on a tour of their own would be for Tsunku to graduate Miki from MM ASAP. Considering that she's the current subleader, Miki can't really be separated from the group for any extended period of time.

Realistically, the only way we'll see GAM on tour is to hope they get a perf of their own during one of the huge Hello! Project tours where EVERYONE gets to go.

I'd see it as Miki Fujimoto and Ayaya Matsuura on tour together. With their solo songs, and GAM songs.

Its cool how these 2 girls keep putting out great music together.  I had always wished that Gomattou would have done more than just the one hit (SHALL WE LOVE?) before that gorup was ended. :(
 
Well now Gocchin is doing her own thing :thumbsup ...so it is nice to see Ayaya and Mikitty reuninted for more than one song.
 
I think Thanks! is a good style of song for the theme song of a movie like Sukeban Deka - it has kind of energy that fits the action theme of the movie.
 
The B-Side (Romance) is a beautiful song.  I think it really suits the image and singing style of GAM.  I am all for another slow song and Melodies sounds like it will fit into that category.  I just love the way they sing together. :D

As solo artists Mikitty and Ayaya both have enough material to do a full show...so it would be easy to add 2-3 GAM songs to the set.
 
This would be a totally awesome concert...this needs to become a reality! :cool:
(Up-Front needs to seriously look into this...whatever they need to do to make it work would be good for H!P)

We all loved the legs theme on the first single...

I hope that this song has a boobs theme (or an ass one...) XD

I'm glad that GAM is doing fine in the charts, I hope they stay there for a good time, it's really a great duo, and was a surprise having a second single... so soon... (anyway I want more DEF DIVA singles!!!!:evil: )

ummmm.......... I'll keep up my radar to this news, but is it true I'm not sure since the second GAM isn't out yet. And I kind of feel it's a bit too fast to put out 3 singles in 3 months. I'm pretty sure that if this continues I'll get tired of GAM.

Is the first single selling that well that Up-Front Group would release 2 more in its wake so quickly? Are they trying to ride the wave of the first single before the fans tire of this H!P group?
 
I am all for new music performed by Ayaya and Mikitty so this is total goodness for me personally. On the other hand As a strategic move I am not sure that this is the best approach to drive the maximium CD sales. Up-Front Group should ride interest in Sukeban Deka to keep Thanks! on the charts for as long posible before feeding the fans more new material.
 
At this pace GAM may not have anything fresh to realese over the next year. This could be part of a bigger plan to leave buyer interest levels high for other H!P artists. This is all specualtion...only time will tell.

I thought it would be Second Single V, but, one month later? Not usually happening... Plus, neither Centuryland nor TowerRecords relate the release with Melodies, so, I kind of wish it's the 3rd single. If they release on 11/08... they're gonna find Momusu. Miki's gonna find herself lol

Their current ranking in the Oricon chart is...quite good? so maybe that's why UFA schedule 2 more singles for them.

They are simply robbing me though, releasing new single once a month. But I won't complain as long as it's GAM!

Big enough for a concert? Miki and Aya have both had awesome solo concerts/tours. Having them tour as GAM would be even better as you could get them singing their solo songs and even have them sing in some songs as a duet. Plus you'd get the return of Miki solo.

Seriously though, GRADUATE MIKI FROM MM ALREADY!!!

H!P announced (http://www.helloproject.com/newslist/ithune_0609270920.html) today that GAM's 2nd single Melodies will be available on iTunes on 10/04!! Two weeks before the actual CD release. Less days to listen to Melodies! Unless it comes to the radio first :D

If anyone finds out how we can access to Ayaya's and GAM pages from western countries, please tell me ^^ I had to copy paste Ayu's url on iTunes to enter.

Intro lies a lot. Don't get excited with it like I did xD

90's r&b anyone? Slowly themed, soul beat, and violins everywhere. Not what I was expecting, but I should not be surprised, I know I'm not gonna find kid/anime-ish MM style on every H!P act LOL It's a good song, good build-up, I think I just have to change my MM mod to a Gomattou mod and I will love this song.

The song is not that great, not bad, but nothing really special :/
Still better than Thanks! though.

I think they chose the wrong key for Miki, like her parts were a little too high for her voice I think.

I'm almost certain the PV will turn my opinion about the single in a heartbeat. I'm expecting hardcore hotness.

I heard like a 10 second preview of what sounds like the piano version. I think I like the sound of it better. Sounded alot more jazzy. Though from the little clip, it sounded a bit boring.

I can't say I'm not dissappointed in the song. But my hopes are still high. Espcially since I just love the cover! I CAN SEE UP THEIR SKIRTS!!! well almost...

Edit: Just saw the single V cover... FUCK YEAH!!!

the repeated parts with 'melodies...' i is nice... i wonder if there will be a dance since it doesn't sound seem very danceable? i like how the music started slow before going into a stronger beat. can't wait to see it performed!

The director of the PV is basically playing up the fact that Aya and Miki are so close, and taking it...well, a step further :D Besides, he knows they won't be completely uncomfortable doing things like 'caressing'. We all know Miki seems to enjoy it the most, anyways. Haha

I second that, ChrNo... I really wish there was a b-side, or at least a different kind of mix for Melodies (I could so see it turned into a hot trance mix^^ LOL) Piano version sounds a little... boring? Especially since the original version is pretty mid-tempo as it is.

Love the song anyway though and LOVE :heart: the PV!! :inlove:

So far it's an ok song for me, maybe I'll like it more over time. Thanks took a while to grow on me too. And THIS PV will definately help alot.

I just saw on CDJapan (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/list_from_code_banner.html?key=397053) that the single video will be released only on november, so I'm guessing the CD+DVD version will include backstage/making-of footage but no PV. :confused:

I can't believe this is a H!P PV. Not only for the hotness but because it's so well done. Who did it? Who? Get he/she to direct all PVs!

You can feel Miki is about to laugh every five seconds which is why not many scenes last more than five seconds lol Making Of will crack us for sure. Simple PV, sylver, white and pureness atmosphere. Ayaya curls are false but are awesome lol And the lunch scene was a good surprise. This PV has an story! Yeah. And it begins with the end: Both on the bed so cute sleeping after having had... LOL The interlude dance is the most wtf thing this year in H!P. Circus indeed haha~~

Well, I just watched it and I have to say that I love it^^ Not only is it obviously sexy and the girls look gorgeous as ever, but it really does a wonderful job of portraying their love for each other, whether it's just close friendship (like arian pointed out earlier) or something else^~ The song is made even more beautiful by the PV, too, I think, since the chemistry between Ayaya and Mikitty reflects the lyrics of the song :heart: :heart: :heart:

All in all, I think it was a wonderful PV for a wonderful song!^^ :heart: GAM!

I personally think the PV was beautifully done and there was absolutely nothing trashy about it! Two girls kissing is hardly scandalous these days, and the way it was done was very sweet and tasteful (not to mention HOT :P LOL)

And in the midst of all this PV talk, I think we're forgetting about the song, which I think is wonderful, too :heart: Whatever Aya and Miki (or H!P for that matter) want to do, I support them all the way!

This kiss makes Melodies the best H!IP PV with no other close to being as good as this one.
 
As people here have asked, I also don't know which version will come with the kiss, I'd just like to request the as soon as someone knows about it, post because I'll buy it in the same second.
I'm really close to buying the video from iTunes Japan, but I'll prefer to have it on DVD.

I have to say that the PV as a whole is alot hotter than just one kiss. It was a nice ending though and I guess all the teasing throughout the PV had to lead somewhere.
 
But as I said before, I'd prefer it just being a tease and I think I was more excited wondering if they really kissed or not and just having it be some hot fantasy than something that really happened.
 
But I still do think that this is one of my favorite H!P PV's, kiss or no kiss. The whole mood was perfect and accompanied the song really well. It's almost exactly what I wanted the PV to be like. No flash, no crazy crap, just Aya and Miki doing stuff :lol:
 
As for the song, I still think it's pretty mediocre. The best part of the song is the vocals. I feel that the music is a little to overproduced and too cliche. There are plenty of songs in the same style that has done a better job. I really liked the piano version, and if they were to add some nice bass or something to it, it would be an awesome song I think.

Agreed. I think the kiss is cute. I don't think I needed (or wanted to see) a real HOT kiss. That'd have been almost perverse. The kiss in this video is perfect.
As for the the song. I like it more than Thanks!. The piano version is amazing... But nothing beats SHINKIROU ROMANCE. That song is full of emotions. A beauty among beauties.

Not having read the whole thread I hope I am not restating points already made.  This is the first time that I have seen this version of the PV.  Anyway the overall video is very suggestive and for the most part I saw Mikitty as the pursuer and Ayaya as the love interest.  It is very implied from the scenes where Mikitty is showing affection and tending to Ayaya at the breakfast table.  And then wham!...I was surprised at the end…the kiss…seems to me that Ayaya is the one who inititiates it in that scene…I totally expected the opposite.  Hot stuff from an H!P group….I didn’t think they’d go that far on camera…even if it was just a little lip contact.  The wota are going to all die from nosebleeds if they ever pull that off live in a concert.

I'm with you on that esp. because I was quite disappointed with some of the recent (esp. MM) Making Of's, so I don't have high hopes for AyaXMiki on bed action in this Making of.

All we get is probably a photoshoot, the dance, some breakfast and maybe the empty bed... from afar... and no kiss rehearsal.

ok...so here is the first part of the video...i have no idea why , but the second part just doesn't want to be uploaded...i've try mediafire, yousendit, rapideshare,sendspace, and megaupload, it just doesn't work for some, or stop at 17mins of uploading...i'll try to fix that later...

The SingleV is still second in the daily music dvd chart (Morning Musume is first).

The daily music dvd may not be as competitive as the singles chart, but H!P SingleV DVDs are almost the only single song PV DVDs that are released nowadays and they are selling well. Some may say Up-Front is milking the wotas/fanboys, one can also say that they are succesfully exploiting the visual nature of the idol industry.

I am one among the angry people because of this system XD

I refuse to buy a simple cd with three tracks and a postcard. I would play it once and never again. A DVD makes it all more interesting, and more worth to me. They can keep Single V since they're successful, ok, but I wish they could make CD+DVD packs more often and not only a limited thing.

Melodies has sold 32,764!! Quite close to Thanks! (36K).

And yet a new update will come up soon because they're still in top100 :D

Melodies Single V ranks 13th and has sold 2,192 in its second week. Sales are totalling 12,937 now.
