Students and workers queued for three hours in Bristol on Saturday after a malfunctioning cash point started handing out twice the amount of money people requested.
News of the fault spread like wildfire and within minutes people were queuing around the block for a chance to "double their money” at the faulty Royal Bank of Scotland cash point. Meanwhile another RBS cash point at the same location, which was operating normally, remained unused. (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/10/24/bristol_atm_mix-up/)
the only downside to this story is that this cash machine is, quite literally, around the corner from where i live... And.I.Wasn't.Home.On.Saturday
