The world's first artificial liver has been grown from stem cells by British scientists. The resulting "mini-liver" is the size of a small coin; the same technique will be further developed to create a full-size liver. (http://www.livescience.com/humanbiology/061031_artif_liver.html)

small coin sized liver is enough for a rat.. yeah, as the article suggest, this is good because it can replace the traditional rat killing massacre for the sake of human medical research... hope they can grow bones out from test tube too...
