From Japan-zone:
Oricon, the company behind the Japanese pop charts, is going to drop its system for downloading music to PCs. The service is losing too much money, with only about 80-90,000 downloads a month. 300-350,000 are needed to make a profit. The service has been running since March 2005.

That doesn't make sense.
ONLY 80-90,000 downloads a month would make a lot of money. How much profit do they need? It can't cost that much to put a few mp3's onto a website.
