Title: Faking it as a priest in Japan

With a rise in the popularity of Christian-style weddings in Japan, some Westerners are finding they can make a lucrative living by acting as priests. But it does not please everyone, particularly genuine priests, as Kathleen McCaul reports. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6067002.stm)

It strikes me as funny to think that I have more qualification than most of these guys do.  After all, I've got one of those $25 Univeral Life Church ministry cards, and actually COULD marry folks if I wanted to.  It's all harmless, though, what these guys are doing, as legal marriage simply consists of getting registered, and all else isn't any less dignified than heading to Vegas and getting married by an Elvis immpersonator.

I know a couple of guys who do this, it's terribly easy to get into. And all they have to do is memorise some Japanese and that's it. An easy day's pay.
