TV's had a flashing map of the areas expected to be hit, on EVERY channel for bloody hours now..
I'd be pissed, if I was recording anything.

the BBC is reporting (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/6150538.stm) that 40 cm waves (i can't in all honesty call that a 'tsunami'; it wouldn't even count as 'swell' down at bells) hit Nemuro in Hokkaido - so it looks likes this one has passed without incident.

Hawaii was also on a tsunami watch for part of the wee hours but it was cancelled before I woke up this morning.

I noticed the warning graphics for Hokkaido on today's episode of Uta Doki.

That is so NOT yoroshiku. I hope they don't get smashed. :( There's still a lot of people who have yet to visit Nihon. Myself included. XD
