Title: Family who bought camera says it got sauce instead
Post by: Foxy Brown on November 28, 2006, 03:37:51 PM
The Rittenbergs planned to shoot family movies with a new camcorder. They may have to settle for a family pasta dinner, instead. The couple paid about $1,600 for a camcorder at a Best Buy store in the St. Louis suburb of Ellisville last week. (http://www.azcentral.com/offbeat/articles/1127sauce-camera-CR.html)

Dude.  I work at Bestbuy in the DI department.. those employees are retarded.  First of all, we're required to check the boxes THEN seal them before we ring people out to absolutely make sure everything's in the box.  Second of all, just because it was sealed doesn't mean anything- when the boxes come in they're unsealed: no plastic, no stickers.  The only thing that seals them are these little stickers with the return policy that we place on the boxes ourselves.  While no one's looking it would be eternally easy to peel the sticker off, play with shit and place it back on behind the counter.  Not to mention when someone returns a camera or camcorder, the item is supposed to go through the LP department for eximination.. if you think about it, one slip up on their part and no one would have any clue.

Tsk tsk!
