Title: Maid Cafe opens in Toronto
Post by: Tuffty on December 15, 2006, 06:38:06 PM: A japanese style maid-cafe has opened in Scarborough Ontario. iMaid Café was launched by Aaron Wang, a 24-year-old student of Economics at York University....

Aside from the cosplay (Wang says some customers arrive in cosplay as well), iMaid Café is more of a Chinese-Canadian twist on a Japanese theme than a Japanese themed restaurant. Chinese music and TV plays in the background, the menu features bubble-tea as well as traditional Chinese food and North American food. But I don't think I'd visit this one, I like real, Japanese Maid cafes, with Japanese maids, Japanese staff, Japanese TV, music, games, menus. and where I can actually speak in pure Japanese with the Maids.

Not planning to visit the store at all, since if I do want to go to a maid cafe I would like to go to an "original" one, i.e. in Japan!
