Just a day after London were announced hosts for the Olympics in 2012, this had to happen!

Watch your local news network as the aftermath of the disaster unfolds. My condolences to the victims. :(

Yeah. Sad that it had to happen.

The targets. They seemed to miss the interchanges. Wonder why. And the casualty count is much lesser than what you would expect, with 5 bombs exploding.
-
WoW, not cool. London needs to step up their security. That really sucks for them, but they knew there would be terrorist attacks.
-
Yes, this is truly tragic. As of right now, I've heard that 40 are confirmed dead with hundreds more wounded. It is expected that the death toll will continue to rise for sure since they are still sifting through the wreckage.
-
yea... never expected this to happened after a long period of silence from those terrorist.. what's more interesting is "Al-Qaeda" stepped up and admit that they were the ones... (not suprising) wonder why they want to do that... i think they just can't stand those people who are trying to do good for others... Tony Blair has to fly all the way back to London....
Sometimes, i really wonder... is it really wrong that Bush bombed Iraq...
-
My condolences to all of those affected by the events that have occured today. It's scary to think how easily terrorists could attack through public transportation.
-
I didnt expect this to happen. Its horrible to think people died there.
Edit : right now, a news reporter is saying that about 50 people have died and they are still looking for more victims. Thats horrible.
-
Agh, man, this is shit. Have anyone think that maybe if Paris was selected as the Olympic city, maybe they'd be the attacked?
Still, if I could, I'd go and hit those fucking Alwhatever in tha face.
the most sick of all is how they attack innocent people that probably didn't agree with any of the Blair decisions. That's sick. It's sick and makes me feel I want to puke. It's not people who commute everyday by train's fault. Damn.

:x :x :x :x
I though that was kinda obvious. USA won't do anything more than rise the terrorist menace if they keep bombing the people and not the enemy.
I'm really sorry for those who died there. Fucking terrorist... if it only was an attack to military or politic targets. But fucking inocents!? That's just sick...

No, You can't just bomb things. Planning a bombing and other preparations take more than a day. London was a good target for terrorists, because G8 meeting in Scotland already pulled attention to Britain.
-
Makes you wonder how much longer this is going to go on... :(

Wouldn't surprise me. News I heard said that some militant European Islamic group claimed responsibility for the attacks, apparently acting on behalf of Al-Quaeda. :? :? :?

This whole thing is absolute bullshit! When are these people going to stop making statements like this?? Whatever the reason, be it the Olympics or whatever other political crap, please go BURN IN HELL!

I KNOW!!! >_< I think what's been done is absolutely disgusting. And the people who're behind it should get their asses beaten.
Great news, though! Because of this, uBsh wants to spend even MORE non-existent money on EVEN MORE "security"!
Not to take anything away from the horrific events in London, but shit like that... FUCKS it up for EVERYONE. The victims, their families, the cunrty and other countries, too. Those people should get their karma... >_>

Terrorist suck Donkey Cock!
-
It was just surreal, sickening...there's no way it coulda been tied to the Olympics but they definitely wanted to give a statement to the G8 leaders. Gots to give props to the Londoners for the "business as usual" attitude as the British Open and Grand Prix will go on as scheduled. :x
-
Indeed. Things could have gotten a lot worse (although the current situation is bad enough). The most horrific thing I heard about yesterday was hearing that this mother had dropped off her two children at the bus station to go to school, and when she heard of the news of the bus bomb, she was in a real panic because she didn't know if it was on the same bus with her two children on it.

As long as it's effective.
So basically at least as long as we're alive.
Modern guerilla/partisan warfare was developed by the Afrikaneers in the Boer War and perfected by the French and Chinese resistance in the Second World War. That along with the treatises of Trotsky, Lenin and Mao (not to mention the VC) as basically the operative plan for any group today that needs to defeat as larger and better equipped opponent.
They're are significant differences (the Viet Nam war was mostly won in a conventional manner by VC tank divisions, WW2 by British and American help and the Russian Revolution by mass army defections), but the operating principles are much the same.
A bigger difference though comes in the selection of targets. The current group of terrorists tends to select civilian targets. In this they are much more akin to the Anarchist movements of the early 20th century than the Bolsheviks or even the IRA, who had definable and achievable goals. This nihilism in the past hasn't been sustainable and eventually resulted in marginalization and a loss of popular support (though it still took 40 years for the old die-hards to eventually die off). Hopefully that will be the eventual result here.

New attacks not long ago. :(
-
WTF!? Man what's wrong with the world?
-
Fanatical religious extremeists are what's wrong with the world. Warmongers have used religion as an excuse almost ever since organized religion first started appearing hundreds/thousands of years ago. Think I'm nuts? In almost any war, both sides claim to be the just side and that they're destined to win because "God is on our side" or "We're fighting in the name of God" or something to that effect. Know what I say about that? BULLSHIT!!!
You don't fight wars because God told you to, you do it because you want to kill the enemy. In this particular case the attacks are (likely) to have been done by Muslim extremeists (who are fighting in the name of/because they were told by almighty ALLAH - which is simply they're name for God). They can go on all they want about how they're fighting for Allah and to defend Islam. We all know that it's all bullshit. They see what the Western world has in terms of money, influence/power, and resources, and they don't think it's right. They think the Muslim nations of the world should be the most wealthy and influencial.

^I don't think the fascist of WW2 were doing it in the name of god, but that's just based on observation and I have no real evidence.
But anyways. WTF!!!!  :x I hate it when stupid dipshit people do stupid shit like this. Most of the people participating in these acts probably have no idea why they are really doing this and just gave into all the propaganda and peer pressure. Stupid low esteem bastards. There is never any justified reason to attack pedestrians. What are they trying to prove? That they could provoke stronger countries into blowing their already fucked up lives into peaces. That's all I see them doing. I don't see any good coming to either sides by doing something like this.
-
Bullocks! These pansies just want to say 'You can't see us but we can see you. You're big and powerful but so are we, so don't underestimate us'. That's just it. All this bombing is just a show of strength.
I'm not deeply religious but I believe that what goes around comes around. It's just a matter of time...

So true, they did it so hastily. Their bombs just fizzled? Just hope it's not one of those copycat nutjobs. :(
-
Ah~~~! Feel sad about it! When our world would be peace at last? May be it won't be coming so soon... :(
-
^I don't think the fascist of WW2 were doing it in the name of god, but that's just based on observation and I have no real evidence.
National socialist Germany and communist Soviet Union didn't fight in the name of god, but of course the god at their side in the war... Eventhough both ideologies were more or less against the religion. I would be not so good to tell soldiers that they'r fighting against the god :)
I wonder what are these new bombings... amateur work? The Police already shot someone suspected to be a suicide bomber, so I guess it's quite serious again.

I reckon they were copycats, as their bombs were feeble and didn't kill anyone. In 2 weeks time they'll probably be using party poppers.
I just heard on the news half an hour ago that one of the terrorists was shot dead by police as he boarded a train today. They identified him from yesterdays cctv footage.
-
And now they're saying (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4711021.stm) that the man who was shot dead by the police had no connections to terrorists at all. I thought this kind of accident would rather happen in the US.
Well, according the article it seems the poor brasilian guy really wasn't helping the situation by his own actions... Five shots to his head sounds still a little of overreaction though.
-
Yeh, I heard that 3 policemen wrestled him to the ground before shooting him in the head 5 times. Umm... couldn't they have handcuffed him?
