On the topic of the rumour that she went to Guam, if it's just a Christmas vacation or something, then it's awesome. She's worked so hard this year, a nice vacation would be well needed for her!

Seems like Maki's been more quiet the last couple months. Glad she finally gets some time to go on vacation to recharge if it is in fact a vacation(although, I kind of wish she was on some of the new years shows :()

lol I don't see people's big problem with plastic surgery or any of the other enhancements(Teeth fixes, etc). If she did get it(I don't know if she did or if she didn't), she looks fine now. It's not like she looks horribly worse because of the surgery. Maki was hot then, and she's still hot now. That's good enough for me. (Same goes for the other girls that had something done to them.)

Stuff like 'teeth enhancement' aren't anything big, and it's extremely common. Hey, Tsuji had her teeth fixed too! Also, there are such as thing as clear braces, so it can't be seen, or even just the use of retainers when at home.
As for plastic surgery, well first off, whether she has had them or not it doesn't make her any less better. She's still an amazing performer and person. I, personally, believe she hasn't had anything done. Even to her breasts, I believe it's all natural. And trust me, coming from a girl as well, the right bra and use of padding can do WONDERS. It can even make an A-cup person look like she's got some breasts. There's also the right type of lighting, and even make-up can help one's chest look more enhanced.
And yes, growing up can make someone change quite a bit. Usually, the face shape tends to get more narrower, so do features like the nose.

Yes, but it's also the place to clear up or even just try to clarify rumours sometimes and try to see whether they're true or not :) It's a place of discussion, and speculation.

I watched part of the last on stage thing a while ago, it was like a dramatic concert. I guess you could say it was a mix of a concert and musical. I think I heard this year is going to have a Rock n' Roll theme w/ Maki and Melon. Maybe thats why Maki is doing so many songs in a Rock style for Uta Doki. :)

the last yr, hp on stage kinda disappointed me, i dl the whole thing for days, bcoz i thought it was a h!p concert and when i open it, it was only nacci and melon. i was like WAT DA!! im glad gocchin gonna have one this year and best of all, its rock!!

I don't know about that duet thing. I don't know if HP lets the girls do duets with artist who they are ( music) rivals. & i know nacchi has before but I really don't think Johnny's would do that. I also understand that HP members & johnny's have done live duets before but that is on a TV show & not a single. JE is way more strict than HP(or at least i think so).

Hm, well guess it should be mentioned here too even if it's been talked about a little already in the H!P Gossip area.
There's been word that Goto will be doing a film (apparently a re-make of a Western film called "The Lover") which contains nude scenes in it.
This was 'announced' a while back already, and so far no official confirmation and such on it, so for now I'm dismissing it as media gossip. I can't see, yet clearly see, Goto doing a film like this. Remember, she also did the drama 'Yubi' and that was quite 'risque' for an H!P girl.

It's a drama/thriller in which Maki played a promising, up-and-coming actress: the drama tells us the things she goes through in order to make it to the top. She has some love scenes with a woman her age and an older woman, but none of them are really explicit about sex, and the plot doesn't exist around the lesbian undertones the relationships she has, have.
From what I'm told, The Lover is a movie with very little content other than the sex scenes it has.

Well like darje said, the movie can't really exist without the nude scenes, which were everywhere in the story. Might as well not make it if they cut it all out, haha.
As for H!P letting her do something like that, it's hard to say. They could, yet again they could flat-out say "no" to the whole thing. I'm sure that if they went with this though, they wouldn't let her go full-on nude, but maybe strategic 'back shots' and such. Or using a body double like with the original film.
Then again we have to consider Goto's opinion. Though H!P pretty much controls these girl's 'creative' lives, they're not that 'cruel' and greedy minded to not take Goto into consideration on doing a film like this and whether she's comfortable with it.

I, personally, am not happy with the approach the press took to it, but I also think some people are exaggerating about this. It might have little content, but it's a romantic movie after all, not a porn flick: this doesn't flag Gocchin up for an AV career. Also, how do you justify playing a lesbian role and implied same-sex lovemaking in Yubi as creative, but doing nude scenes as bad? That's a double standard bigger than a house.

In Yubi, the sex is implied, but the most we ever see is Maki in a nightie with the older woman character kissing her on her neck, or something like that. This whole rumour about Maki possibly touted to start in a possible remake of The Lover is the fact that the sex scenes are more graphic/explicit.

I'm not actually 'outraged' or anything by those pictures because this just confirms that she really is moving away from the "idol" image to an "artist" one which I think is great, she's been wanting to do that transition for years now, which is what Ayaya is trying to do these days too.
Of course, I just wish she had more privacy while she's on her hiatus...

I personally don't like smoking at all but she is free to do what she wants. She's over 20 and no longer in h!p. I wish she wouldn't smoke though...not healthy. But maki-chan is who she is and there's no changing it.

I never said smoking means you'd become a better artist, but more of she's definitely moving away from the idol image. If she planned to still be in the idol business which completely forbids something like smoking, she wouldn't be stupid to smoke in public where she could easily be seen.
