Made a torrent for the 2006-2007 countdown (http://forum.jphip.com/showthread.php?t=7681) and thought that a seperate thread would be a good idea for the Countdown. Countdown's the only JE concert there is every year and I enjoy watching Countdown myself coz it shows the kind of camaraderie that the members have with each other across the various groups.
Like this year, Mabo stuffed his mic to Inocchi so that Inocchi sang 'Good Day!!' with two mics instead of one. And I had a "heart melt" moment when Kanjyani were singing 'Bokura no Machi de' with KAT-TUN. As it is, I feel like crying each time I hear 'Bokura no Machi de' coz the song has such nice lyrics!! But awwww~!! Kanjyani + pretty love ballad = SUPER DUPER :heart: :heart: :heart: It feels SO GOOD too when everybody was singing/dancing to 'Daite Senorita' and 'Venus'~!! ^o^
I was quite touched when Higashiyama and Matchy went to escort Mori Mitsuko up on stage. She's so old and frail-looking~!! But it was so sweet seeing her get escorted up on stage~!! ^o^
Hmm... Somehow them older ones like Shonentai and Matchy just looked out of place with the young ones. >_< I actually look at them and wonder how people like Leader and V6's Makun will be in a couple of years. Leader (Tokio's Joshima Shigeru) is gonna be 37 this year while Makun (V6's Sakamoto Masayuki ) will be 36. How long more can they bounce around with the young ones?
'Coz of this, sometimes I'm quite thankful/ happy that SMAP's relatively independent, doing their own thing and not in Countdown or Sports Festival with the rest. I would love to see SMAP in Countdown and Sports Fest but when I think of it... Maybe it's better if I don't get to see, when compared to say NewS, as to how far they've come or how long it's been. :P
Okay... I know I know... I sidetracked and went off on a tangent. :P Please do excuse me. More on Countdown 2006-07 later. First... Lunch!! ^o^

I *finally* watched this :P
Well... I still find Johnnys concerts very confusing to watch because they're so fast-paced, I mean I get to go "omg Yam--" and they've already taken him away ROFL. Replace Yamap with pretty much anyone and it's as true. The camera work is all over the place, too. It's like it's impossible for them to concentrate on just one thing at a time. They just HAVE to show those who are performing, those who aren't, the audience, the stage from far away, the stage from up close, ALL in like a matter of seconds LOL. Well that's what it feels like to me... ^^;;; So even just because of this I found it hard to enjoy this concert thingy.
Having NEWS was really awesome though, even I got touched seeing them on stage together and I'm not even a loyal Johnny fan. But yeah again they had to rush on to other things, not lots of NEWS time.

I watched it too and pretty much like shirenu said too, I ended up thinking it was pretty confusing and a mess to watch, especially since it was on Tokyo Dome which is huuuuuge. But that's what I usually think of countdowns so aside that! I was really touched on NEWS comeback too, it was set up really nicely. Probably the best part of Countdown every year is to see J-Friends generation interact with each others. Younger groups are always pretty much just being there and smiling and acting like kouhais should, but for real that's not really so interesting. It's great to see them sing each other's songs though.
Having a concert full of basically just medleys with way too many people goes to a big mess very easily... (Like, did anyone watch the Junior medley on Music Station couple months ago when they performed over 10 songs in like 3 minutes?? That was a mess I tell you!) Add there confusing camera changing and it's not so easy to follow for me either even though I know all the people and most of the songs x_x

Countdown's such a mess to watch precisely coz they're jamming everything and everybody into an hour and a bit of a show. There are SO MANY of them to cover!! >_< But JE countdown's good for people who want tasters of what JE and their artistes are like. Coz that's about as much as you get really. >_< A taster. >_<

Speaking of the Countdown, I'm curious as to why KinKi Kids didn't appear till so late... Anyone heard anything? :o

the countdown was soo cool..
i wish i could have attended..its too bad there's nothing like that here ..must be exciting seeing all those groups all in one place spending new years eve together..
SO glad news is back..i was starting to really miss koyama outside of shonen club and yamapi was soo cute singing his solo..sigh*
haha..and koichi..he needs a break.he looked like he needed some sleep..he looked soo soo exhausted..
but the performances were great!!!..luved how sho was debating on whether or not to jump to the next platform to join the rest of the arashi members.haha..so cute
