I don't think friendship wins over economic interests in Up-Front nowadays. There was a rumor, confirmed or not I don't remember, saying Yossie and Rika asked Tsunku to be in the same unit right after PucchiMoni and Tanpopo ended. He disagreed :(

...All being said, i don't understand why people seem to be sad that the golden generation of 1st ~ 4th gen members are gone. MM continues to evolve, and i like it this way instead of them staying as what they were, and its impossible right? And who is to judge whether MM is coming to an end without the 1st 4 generations? I sure like where MM is heading from now on, no more bubbly catchy songs but i like their new cool tunes and fabulous dance scenes.
As for Yossi's final song in SSA. I hope it could be Mr Moonlight, the song that moulded her into that male character.
I guess in due time everyone must move on... All thought many people I know say Miki should have graduated before Yoshi. At the rate the members are graduating and coming in MM will be back to their orignal size in the near future now that would seem weird to me. I guess we will see what will happen. All though we still have Yoshi in the group for 6 months.

Wouldn't that depend on how fast they can produce a single? If they can do that and make the PV and prepare for the graduation concert then let's hope there will be another one. However, it can't just be something crappy slapped together...cause then there's no point right?MM usually has a single every three or four months. May makes that third month if we don't count Feb, and fourth if we do. So I guess she could perfectly be in another single. I'm actually 90% sure she will unless they want her to focus on her future plans.

I wonder why everyone wonders about tsunku's picks, but NO ONE tries to think about what it means to be "a subleader". Honestly, did anyone ever see a subleader having some special tasks assigned? Maybe during TV talk shows leader and subleader are asked more questions or are in charge of promotion talk, but hey, that's not the case anymore as MM rarely appear on talk shows nowadays. So pls someone explain me WHY Aichan doesnt fit to be a subleader, if it's actually just a title of position with no significant duties? (not that leader is any special position as well :p)
Yea, those are my thought exactly, nothing wrong with Ai-chan being sub-leader, its how the system works, and its not like a sub-leader has big duties anyway (neither does the leader, beyond keeping it friendly with the girls it seems and tv talk)
Yes, basically a leader's job is just to keep the motivation within the group up, and ensure that everyone is focusing hard on their practices and such and of course, to help keep peace between everyone. Aside from that, to try and talk the most during talk shows, etc.
A sub-leader's job, you could say, is just to be there in case the leader is gone; it's like one is already assigned so that they don't have to take up time thinking about who the new one should be in the future XD A sub-leader hardly does much, and is just like a regular member, who'se also required to talk a bit more besides the actual leader.

Actually, I wish they would get rid of the seniority-based system and select their leaders based on appropriateness, rather than age. It's crap, all of Japan knows its crap, yet every organization in Japan still uses it. Morning Musume isn't the army, and the oldest musume isn't always going to be the best person to lead.

There's no one else for you to lean/rely on. What I'm saying is that she HAS, just because her's was a little different doesn't make it any less difficult than what the others had to go through.

Whether people think she's suited for it or not of if they think she deserves it or not, that's how it's going to be. Nothing we say here will change the fact that MM will soon stand for "Miki's Musume". :lol:

Background job
1) Act as a confidant to the girls, giving advices.
2) Keep the girls in check to make sure they come for practices and keep out of scandals. Or teach the girls how to keep themselves out of the way from friday reporters' cameras. Miki should be good at this since i don't hear much gossip about her.
3) Orders girls to buy cookies and milk from the convenience store lol

But such a method at least ensures minimal chance of quarrelling, don't you think? Besides, the true stars will always shine, whether they're leaders or not, and sometimes, the fact that they're not leaders helps their stars to shine even brighter. Also, elderliness can be a valid quality for leadership because of the longer life experience the person has; and in East Asian cultures, it's quite normal for younger people to desire to have older people they can look up to for guidance and leadership.

Yoshizawa's brother died in a traffic accident. I'm so speechless. The newspaper shows a graphic (very weird accident and full of bad luck) and a disgusting and unnecessary blood pic. My condolences to her and the family. It's a huge hit. It's a young brother. All with younger brothers will understand that it is one of the people you love the most. And he was so young. It totally sucks.

Given time, Yossi will let us all know (one way or another) what she wants in terms of proceeding (early) with or delaying her Grad concert. Whatever that decision is, we'll all continue to love and support her. As was said earlier here, all she needs right now is time to sort things out. We'll still be here if/when she's ready to return.
Bleh. I didn't cry over this. Heck, I never cry when people die. Am I a cold-hearted fool or something? But I still feel really sorry for Yossie, though I can't relate to what she's going through :(

Just got back from the wonderful hearts concert and in my opinion Hitomi could well be the star of the show she was awesome but on an odd sidenote when the curtains went down at the end my daughter started shouting "yossie yossie yossie" others around her joined in and then others did so inefect my daughter started it off it was awesome when everyone joined in.

oh, which country? I can only think of 3 main regions: North America, UK, and Australasia; if she decided to go to Australia or New Zealand, the semester would be starting next month, I think; otherwise, the semester would have started in the autumn last year.
