Chap.1
Panting sounds, that was all that was heard from her as Yoshizawa Hitomi cycled at top speed to school. 'Kuso oyajime now I'm gonna be late for school again' not that it bothered her or anything, Yossi was known for being late most of the time. Sometimes she does it on purpose only to piss off the teacher, sometimes she overslept because she works till the wee hours for a little bit of cash to spend.
She turned into the school gates and continued cycling towards the little area where students could park their bicycles at. The moment Yossi locked her bike she dashed into the buliding and climbed up the steps to the third floor at amazing speed and finally skiding sideways to stop right at the door of class 3B-01
"Ah~ Yoshizawa-san nice of you to join us. Please take a seat, or would you like me to escort you to your seat?" The sarcastic teacher said in respond to the now perspiring figure standing at the door.
An ice cold glare was given in return from the latecomer, "No... Sorry I'm late." Yossi mumbled to her teacher in an irritated tone as she walked towards her seat. As she walk down the row everyone stared at the tall, handsome looking girl as she threw her bag on to her table and sat down on her chair.
Yossi yawned while unattentively listening to her teacher as he went on with his lesson.

"Ok class, that's it for our lesson...."
Yossi stood up and headed for the door just as the teacher said those magic words.
"Oie! Wait up! Whats your problem today huh?"
"Nothing Miki, just wanna get some food before I starve to death."
Fujimoto Miki, Yossi's classmate, runs over to Yossi's side and walks with her to the canteen for lunch.
"So.. Whats for lunch?"
"Anything edible."
'Why can't she give me a proper answer for once?'

"NICE PASS!"
"Ishikawa!! look out!"
A ball flew toward the beautiful looking girl with long dark hair who was in the midst of tying up her hair. Fortunately the girl named Ishikawa Rika managed to duck just before the ball hit her
"You trying to kill me Non?!"
"Gomen! Gomenne Rika-chan." A cute shorter girl with her hair tied up in a bun jogged over to Rika to see if her senior was alright. "Well at least you ducked in time." The younger looking girl grinned and searched the area with her eyes for the now missing ball. "Oi Tsuji! Quickly get the ball over already, Rika-chan is fine!!" Miki shouted at her practice partner as she waited for the ball.

"Yocchan~" Miki waves her hand vigorously at the girl whom she spotted a distance away. Yossi was walking towards her bike while staring at the group of girls playing soccer. As soon as she was caught staring, Yossi looked down at her bike and began unlocking.
"Nee Yocchan, why don't you join us? I know you want to."
"I'm busy Miki, go enjoy yourself alright?" The taller girl patted Miki's head like a little girl and hops onto her bicycle. A little upset that she fail to persuade Yossi to join their game, Miki walks back to the group.
"Mikitty, who's that? kakkoi na~ for a girl, how come you didn't ask her to join us?"
"Yoshizawa Hitomi, my classmate."
"Thats Yossi? Wow she's more handsome looking than I thought! Everyone said she looks really handsome but..."
While Tsuji continued blabbering about the school's female prince the other two girls were staring at the back view of Yossi as she rode off further and further away until her back view finally disappeared.

Ok, now Im going to rip you to threads because I already have a repuation her for the straight forward ass. I'd hate for anyone else's reputation to be tainted in the same way.
GRAMMAR!!
Spelling errors or what I do most - replace nouns with other nouns you have been thinking of...those things are ok because we are only human!! and some of us havent finished high school!! So I think its ok you have a few errors in there..
I cant stress capital letters enough. For proper nouns (names, beginning of sentences and so on).
Umm, your spacing is good! Im always happy to see nice use of breaks! Length is good!
I cant pick on you for anything else. Just the capitals thing...
Now do the same for me!! darn it, RIP ME TO PIECES!! Dont tell me Yuuyami is the only one XD

Nice start! This looks to be a promising fic! :pen_clap: Anything with Yossi in it is good enough for me, but including Miki and Rika are definate plusses.
I agree with Mikan on the grammar aspect, but don't let that stop you. I'll continue to read this with or without capitals. :pen_nod:

Hey stefy, I'm surprised you start writing too. I'm okay with any fics that has Yossi.
The story/scenes seems rushed (maybe it's just me.)

I have to agree that some scenes are rushed, like transition scenes. Other than that it was just capitalization in some of the proper nouns :)
Another '85 fanfic~ Haha, this makes me think of the story way before H!P period.... I feel like I'm writing the sequel to this, haha.

I think Yuuyami is right lol, maybe its cuz I watch too much friggin dramas so it turned out drama/manga-ish. katatsumuri you read this!! hehe I guess I got influenced and besides there's not much fics on high school or my dear yossie as the lead in here so I decided to write one instead of waiting for someone to do it.

"Ok class, everyone here?" as the question was asked a dark brown blob seemed to be hovering together with an flying canvas, Yossi was quietly sneaking through the backdoor towards her seat, luckily for her their teacher had her back faced against the class. Yossi quickly sits on her chair placing her canvase on the stand as quietly as possible to avoid getting caught.
"Psst! late yet again? your lucky Iida-sensei didn't catch you." Miki whispered into Yossi's ears from behind. Yossi swung her hand to the back and smiled slightly, what she hoped would happen, happened. "Ow! Fine I'll shut up then..." Miki wispered yet again while rubbing her head.
"So I see everyone has brought thier paintings, you may continue with your work for now." Iida-sensei said this as she herself went to work on her own painting.
Everyone in the room bustled one the spot taking out thier equipment and began painting. Only one girl stood up walked to the corner of the room, placed her canvas against the wall and sat crossed-legged on the floor taking out her brush and continued to painted her semi-finished drawing while listening to her walkman. Yossi loved art lessons it was the only time she could get lose in her own world without anyone bothering her... "Hey Yocchan, what'cha think?".. exept for that one person.
"Sorry couldn't hear you" Yossi said coolly as she took of one side of her earphone, her eyes soon found Miki's art work and stared at it with a stunned face.
"Wow Miki, why on earth did you choose art again?"
"Oh come on! It's not that bad right? Say its not bad, or I'll paint your face green!" Miki crept behind Yossi, while holding a brush smothered in green paint and used her free arm to hug Yossi from behind.
"Get.. off.. me! Go continue painting your.. Whatever that is."
With one swift move, Yossi managed to free herself from her playful friend without having any green paint on her body, but unfortunatly the move by Yossi made Miki fall backwards causing her to fall on her butt which in turn made her brush fly out of her hand and was headed for Rika's direction.
"Uh..... Oh" was all Miki could say as green paint was splattered all over Rika's painting of a beautiful lake. There was silence in the class and everyone turned to look at the commotion at the back, Rika then turned to look at the two who ruined her art work, Miki was staring at her with the most apologetic look one could give. While Miki's partner in the crime was apparently ignoring the whole incident, with her back facing everyone, listening to her mp3 while she continued painting. Rika continued to watch Yossi's back hoping for the girl to turn around and apologise, but no movement was made by her besides her arm moving up and down her canvas. Rika turned back to painting with a tear rolling down her face.
'Why is she always so cold towards me'

-Afterschool-
"Hey Rika!" Miki ran towards the brunette dragging a taller looking girl "Erm... Your not playing soccer with us? Sorry about the painting again, I'll get you a new canvas and even paint it for you! Although Yossi says it'll end up looking like a cat which I doubt!" Miki shot Yossi a glare as she said the last comment to Rika.
'How come you let her in and not me?'
"Its ok Mikitty, I'll just re-paint it myself. I got to rush home today so I won't be joining you for soccer."
Miki nodds and then nudges Yossi to say something. The taller looks over to the side abit pissed off before she spoke, "She said she'll re-paint it, case closed can I go home now?" Returning Miki the glare that she recieved just moments ago.
"You can never apologise to me nicely anymore can you?! You know, ever since you moved in with us you've been giving me the cold treatment!" screamed Rika, who was now shocked that she had accidentally blurted out something that Yossi made her swear not to tell. She looked wide eyed at Yossi only to find the other giving her the exact same look. Yossi grabbed Rika's hand and pulled her to a corner.
"What the hell do you think your doing?"
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry, it just... It slipped"
"It slipped? Slipped?!"
Yossi stared at Rika for what seemed like hours. Rika thought she was going to get hit by the taller female and prepared for the worst but all Yossi did was just walked away without a word. Rika looked slightly confused then went after her leaving Miki standing alone.
The confused looking Miki looked blankly in space and thought out loud.
"Moved in.... Moved in?.... MOVED IN?!"

I can see that you tried working on your grammar more, but to me, I think you placed all your punctuation in the wrong places o_o; And a lot of the wording seems awkward o__o' Perhaps an editor is in order?
I like how the story is progressing though ^^; Miki x Rika x Yossie is loooove~! Oh and love the Iida-sensei thing xD

hmm, high school story romance :D I like :heart: Actually the settings sounds like one of the Taiwanese drama i saw years back.
It's nice to see Miki doing the chasing this time and quite different from the normally aloof Miki :D Anyway I hope to see more juniors in the picture when the story starts rolling *coughrokkiescough*.

Hey guys, thanks for all the comments really encouraging. But I think I won't continue this fic.... Not till I change the story line alittle. Cuz my original thinking was that Yossi had a brother who passed away. Now that the news is out, I'll feel really really bad if I continue with this story line. I'll try to think of something different. If not then hmm chapter will be the last chapter. My condolences for Hitomi-san and her family.

Slam!
The black back landed on the table inches away from the face of a slightly tanned looking girl with long dark hair as she was taking a nap in the staff room of decent looking night pub. She jumped up from her chair due to shock, "Jeez! I'm trying to sleep here!" She shouted but after seeing that it was Yossi who intruded her precious sleep, Goto Maki sat back down on her chair and rested her head on the table .
"So who made our dear senpai angry this time?"
"That idiot! She blurted out everything in school!"
"Ah... so she finally cracked." said Maki calmly with her eyes closed, "So... what did you do to her this time?"
"I didn't do anything..." The answer by Yossi was replied with a unconvinced look from Maki with one eyebrow raised.
"Fine, Miki accidentally destroyed her painting with green paint..."
That same eyebrow was raised even higher, "And?"
"And... I happened to push Miki for that to happen"
"And?"
"That’s all... FINE I didn't apologies! Will you stop looking at me like that?"
Yossi glared at the tanned girl who was her best friend ever since god knows when.
"That’s more like it... now be a good girl and go get changed, irritating customers about to arrive."
Yossi did as she was told and walked to the changing room as Maki passed her the blouse and trousers from Yossi's bag, Maki was probably the only person who could give her orders that she followed. The moment Yossi steped into the changing room, another girl with short dark hair ran into the staff resting room panting furiously. Maki gave her an 'Uhoh-your-in-trouble' look.
"Is she here yet?" She asked while taking in as much oxygen her lungs could obtain.
"Did you see her car outside?"
"Maybe.. I don't know! I ran here as fast as I could"
"Then I don't know either." Maki leaned back in her chair and replied nonchalently to the girl younger then her.
Yossi stepped out of the changing room to find Maki signaling to her about the new arrival with her eyes, a mischievous smile crept onto Yossi's face as she sneaked behind the girl and did her best voice impersonation of their boss.
"Kamei-sa~n you are late!"
Kamei Eri's eyes went wide open, she had fell for it. She closed her eyes expecting for the worst and slowly turned around.
"Sorry manager-san, it won't happen again!!! Gomennasai!"
She waiting for a lecture or a shouting but no sound was heard for a few seconds.
"Ba~ ka." Yossi said this as she flicked Eri's head with her finger, this was followed by a roar of laughter among the other staff the loudest being Maki's laugh. Eri looked up at Yossi and blushed then turned around and smiled at the others, Kamei was overly embarrassed but yet laughed along with the others.
"Ok... better start working before the real manager-san comes. Oh ya and we'll have a new staff joining us soon, and I'll appoint one of you as her mentor" Yossi announced to everyone since she was the appointed to be incharge of the staff.
"A girl this time? Finally, a new face besides the three of you! So.. she hot?" one of the male staff commented with eyes sparkling with excitement.
"YOU are not going to mentor her, god knows what you'll do to the girl. Gocchin... You train her?"
"Fine. But only if she's cute, if not... Eri will." Maki looked over at the girl who now snapped out of her little day-dream the moment she heard her name.
"Why me?! Goto-san zurui! You always push stuff to me if you don't like to do it. No way, this time I'll make sure you baby-sit the new one!"
"You know, if it wasn't for me you won't be such a skilled bartender AND waitress all in one."
Yossi rolled her eyes then turn and walked away leaving the two to continue bickering about who gets to mentor a newbie. She walked to the main entrance and flip the sign showing that open sign then casually walked over to a table and wiped it with a cloth. While wiping, she could still hear Kamei arguing with Goto.
'Man those two can argue, how they think of so much to say all at once?'

3 am in the morning, Yossi and Maki walked out of the now quiet building.
"Ahh~ I'm so tired.. So where you going now?"
"Home."
"Uh-huh... To apologies"
Yossi glanced over at Maki who was stretching her arms in the air yawning. Remaining silent, Yossi knew what Maki was talking about and that she was probably right but she just didn't felt like talking anymore.
Walking in silence, they reached Maki's house first since its nearer. "Well.. See you tmr friend" Maki walked into her house and left Yossi to walk home alone as usual. While walking Yossi couldn't help but think about what Maki kept emphasizing.

School
"Iida-sensei?"
"Oh Yocchan, your early for once I see. How may I help you?" Iida Kaori looked up at the girl from her seat.
"Erm.. Could I have more time to do my project? Mine got run over by a car."
'Run over by a car? What the hell kind of excuse is that?'
"Hmmm... Well I guess I can give you another month, but that’s all I can give you."
"Thank You Iida-sensei, that’s all I need." Yossi bowed to her teacher and left the teacher's room quietly.
Ishikawa residence
Rika got up from her bed to find an object that didn't belong in her room, it was a large canvas. A master piece one that could be known with just one look that it took months to finish. An abstract art with many different colors, it looked beautiful from every single angle and in the middle of the canvas was a small note.
'Use this instead.'

Thirty minutes early, wonder what to do. Yossi's surely not here yet, I'v been meaning to ask her about yesterday. 'Moved in' what did they mean by 'moved in'? Come to think of it, whenever I ask either one of them if I could hang out at their house Yossi just says no while Ishikawa always gives some lame excuse.
Miki pondered over what Rika said about Yossi moving in, her thoughts was then disrupted when she heard a group of girls gossiping about the same topic.
"I heard Yoshizawa-san and Ishikawa-san are an item.."
"Kyaa~ yada! Yoshizawa-san can't be with her!!"
"Their totally different, what can they possibly do together? Yossi is better off being with me then that Ishikawa Rika."
"I heard they even live together too!"
"Uso?!"
Idiots... why can't they just mind their own business? What is she talking about 'Yossi is better off being with me?' Yossi will never be with that girl, just look at her, her face looks like a damn frog.
Miki entered her classroom looking rather pissed off until she saw an unexpected person sitting on the seat that was normally supposed to be empty at this time. Stunned, Miki stood at the door for a few seconds.
"What are YOU doing here so early in the morning?"
"I took the train"
Yet another question not properly answered by Yossi, Miki nodded her head and walked past Yossi to her seat behind the girl.
'Maybe now should be the time to ask...'
"Erm Yocchan? I've been meaning to ask you..."
"Yocchan... can we talk?" Miki was interupted by someone whispering from behind. Yossi didn't look up to see who was it, she had been anticipating this from the moment she stepped into class. Standing up from her seat, Yossi walked out of the classroom. Miki on the other hand, looked up to see who interupted her from asking the question that had been bugging her the whole night.
"Rika-chan? What are you doing here? Bad idea for a girl from A class to come here you know."
Miki stared at her friend who she had art class and played soccer with. Rika who snuck into their classroom, looked down at Miki and gave an apologetic smile then followed Yossi out of the class. After climbing up the stairs towards a corner where not many people were around, Yossi turned to face Rika and spoke first.
"What is it?"
"I erm... I really appreciate what you did but.."
"Forget about it... I already told Iida-sensei about it so you can't say no"
Leaving out the exact deatils about what she told her art teacher, Yossi walked away back into the classroom. While Miki who was nearby the staircase eves-dropping on their conversation, ran back into the classroom as fast as she could before Yossi could see her.
They must have been talking about yesterday's incident, wonder what Yocchan did. She'll never tell me even if I ask her. But I will find out...
Miki looked up at the girl sitting infront of her.

Rika walked up the stairs after the short talk with Yossi. She went up to the roof, she loved it there the breeze was cooling and she could sit quietly to relax and think without any interruptions, well most of the time.
Sitting on the bench at the corner, Rika leaned back and closes her eyes. While many things ran through her mind, a small smile appeared on her face. 'At least she's talking to me now'

"Just a reminder! Next week is the test! Please do study for it..."
The last bell rang, it was the end of school and everyone was packing up and leaving while the teacher was battling with the noise.
Along the corridor Miki and Yossi walked side by side, though it's more like Miki was trying to keep up with Yossi. Many students would give way to the two, sometimes there would be a group of girls or guys watching them while drooling. The two were the most popular duo in school. Everybody loved the cool and calm Yoshizawa Hitomi while Miki, everyone just loved how cute she was.
"Yocchan wanna play futsal with us today?"
The question was asked yet again, it has become a routine to ask this question after school everyday. Miki knew the answer but something told her Yossi knows how to play and that she wants to play. But for some reason Yossi would always decline.
Yossi hesitated to answer to such a simple question. Honestly, she yearned to play with Miki but due to work and Rika-chan who was also playing together with them, Yossi would resist temptation and resort to playing alone or sometimes with Maki in a basketball court nearby her work place before she starts work.
"Ok, but I didn't bring any sports wear"
Stunned Miki stopped walking for a moment. "Really?"
"Yea sure, why not?" Said Yossi as she finally given into temptation.
"Really? really? really? You'll reeeeeeally play with us?" Miki said this while skipping to Yossi's side joyfully knowing that Yossi finally agreed.
"I swear if you say really one more time..."
"Re.... Seriously?" Miki looked at Yossi playfully waiting or her to get irritated, Miki just loved to irritate her classmate.
"Don't worry lucky for you I brought spare today so you can wear those and you can borrow Tsuji's shoes she always brings hers even when she has another pair left in her locker do you know how absent minded she is? But I wonder if the size fits, maybe it if it can't fi-"
"Oi... the shoes I'm wearing are fine so quit babbling."

"Nee Rika-chan... That was a huge crowd today huh? Yossi sure is real popular, I know there's always a crowd watching us play evertime because of Mikitty but... it never was THAT many right?"
"Un..."
"But you didn't play so well today, you seemed distracted somehow... I noticed that while waiting for the ball to come. Boy does Yossi play well huh? I never knew she was so skilled, wonder why she never joined our futsal club. Oh ya, I heard this rumor that you two are living together though. So is it true?"
Rika finished changing, walked out of the cubicle and neatly folder her dirty laundry into her bag. Tsuji was sitting patiently on the bench waiting for an answer, Rika patted her head and walked towards the mirror to fix her hair. She's been friends with Tsuji Nozomi ever since she joined the futsal club, she was like a younger sister who wouldn't stop asking questions.
Tsuji followed Rika with her puppy eyes still waiting for an answer.
"Why don't you ask Yocchan yourself?"
"Yappari, its true? How come you never told me?"
"Non-chan I have to rush home, you gonna be ok going home alone?"
Tsuji nodded looking a little upset, Rika gave the younger a reasuring smile and took her bag giving the younger another light pat on the head before leaving the changing room.

"Hmm, Your a little young though.. Your sure you wanna work with us? Its gonna be though work here you DO know that right?"
"Yes sir."
"Alright then, I'll give you a shot. You start right now, here are some parts bring them to the workshop and look for Kawamuchi-san"
"Thank you sir! I'll get right to work!"

*CRASH*
"What the hell are yo-"
"I'm so sorry!! I just... eh? Yoshizawa-san?" Yossi gave Rika a very confused look.
"How do you know my name?"
Rika flashed her a smile in return, and bent down to help put back all the metal parts into the box. While Yossi continued staring at Rika who was now kneeling in front of her struggling to transfer the heavy metal parts back into the box.
"Its ok, I'll do it." Still in a daze, Yossi quickly kneeled beside Rika and began placing the heavy metal into the box while pushing Rika gently aside the same time.
"My name is Ishikawa Rika." Looking at Yossi waiting for her to recognize the name, but the only reaction that came from the other was a mere twitch of her head to one side.
"We go to the same school as each other...?"
"Oh... cool" With that Yossi walked away with the box that they had just re-packed leaving Rika standing there looking rather dumbfounded.

Rika walked out of her father's workplace looking partially disappointed. 'Yossi really is cold'. Many rumors were made in school, more like in class, about Yossi's cold personality. 'I guess Ai-chan won the bet this time...' She continued walking, feeling a little dissapointed about what her classmate said about Yossi turning out to be true.
The truth was, when she found that Yossi was working at her father's shop, she decided to use this as an advantage to get closer to Yossi and to see if the rumors were true. She couldn't do that in school because of both their classes’ conflict with each other and the fact that Yossi was constantly surrounded by her classmates who were all pretty intimidating in Rika's point of view. Unfortunately she became a nuisance to Yossi as she kept getting in the way of her job and in turn got ignored and even received a cold stare by the girl.
As she reached the main gate of the 'Ishikawa AutoShop' she heard a familiar voice calling after her.
"Ishikawa-san! wait up! Sorry about just now... I just wanted to concentrate on my work."
"I should be the one saying sorry.." a little surprised that Yossi would come apologise
"Nah, your boss's daughter... can't let you say sorry."
After which they began walking out of the building while chatting.
"So which class are you from?"
"3rd grade A class"
"Oh... Well I'm from C class."
"I know..." Yossi raised one eyebrow at other's responds.
Their small talk continued until they reached a beautiful three-story mansion all painted in white, the Ishikawa residence.
"One day... I'll earn enought money to get a house like that.." mumbled Yossi staring at the huge house, full of ambition in her eyes. Seeing this Rika blushed slightly, feeling a little guilty.
"Erm... I'm home.. Thanks for walking me."
Blinking a couple of times, Yossi snapped out of her day dream and looked over at Rika with eye's wide open. "This is where you live? Ah.. sorry about that.. See you around Ishikawa-san"
"Please, call me Rika, Yoshizawa-san."
Yossi gave a chuckled then imitated what Rika said , "Please, call me Yossi, Rika-chan"
Rika blushed yet again at the sound of her name being called by Yossi and began walking towards her house gates.
"By the way... You won't tell your father about today right?"
"I won't tell if you don't tell daddy that I went over to the workshop today."
Finally saying their last goodbye's Rika continued walking towards her house, totally shutting out all the bad rumors she heard from her classmates.

A few weeks passed since then, Rika has not stopped sneaking into her father's workshop to visit Yossi ever since. The two became closer friends day by day, spending time together after school before Yossi starts her shift, and sneaking out at night to hang out at their favirote playground in the park nearby.
School
"What are you smiling at Yossi?"
"Huh? No-nothing.." Maki looked from Yossi and turned to find the source of her friend's sudden change in expression.
'Ishikawa Rika?... Nah, not possible! Oh well'
Goto Maki turned back and passed the ball to Yossi, resuming their mini soccer game with the class.

Nice chapter, finally some background on Yossui and Rika. I'm curious though. Is there a reason why Yossui is working? If it's in a future chapter though, don't spoil it, I can wait. And Goto must have ended up going to a different high school than Yossui, right?

Rika strolled along the park nearby her house pondering about the past. She recalled how close she and Yossi used to be; how they met; how they became friends; how Rika finally confessed her feelings to Yossi; how they used to spend so much time together in this very park. All those thoughts about the past lead her to recall that one incident which caused the change between the two girls, sighing deeply at the thought,
'Yochan, Even if I could turn back time, I still would have done the exact same thing.'

"Tanaka Reina desu, Nice to meet you."
"Psst... look she's cute, so I guess your gonna be in charge of her"
Eri whispered to Maki with a slight smirk on her face the moment the newbie came to greet the staff.
"What I said was.... I'll baby-sit her if I find her cute." Maki replied emphasing very much on the last 'I'.
"But you-"
"Reina-chan will be part of our crew from now on. You two, your BOTH in charge of her." Yossi cut in just before Eri could attack Maki with a whole bunch of words.
"Guide her around, she knows the basics already so... I'm counting of you two. Back to work guys! Boss will be coming back any second now."
Yossi announced while ignoring the two pairs of eyes following her every move, one being a look of betrayal and the other a look of plead.

"Mmm... I would like a coffee for now, thank you."
At the corner of the restaurant, Maki was taking orders from someone dressed in a black coat with sunglasses and a hat. All 3 items unnecessary to be worn in a restaurant. This person made her voice sound deep somewhat like a guy. Maki recorded down the orders and walked away towards the bar to place the order looking amused yet slightly pissed off.
"Weirdo alert..." She warned her best friend, Yossi looked up from her writing to see who Maki was talking about.
"Right corner."
Glaring at the 'weird' customer whom she recognized in an instant, Yossi mumbled that she'll deliver the drink to the customer.
Walking over to where the overly dressed girl was sitting, Yossi brings over the coffee looking pretty angry. The person seemed to be looking for someone as she pulled her glasses down and looked around. Just as she found her target she looked back down at the table trying to hide behind the menu.
"Your coffee... Miki"
Miki looked up at Yossi who was looking at her with piercing eyes, and smiled like a child who just got caught red-handed for doing something mischievous.
"Heh... Thanks"
"What are you doing here."
Yossi glared at Miki with her arms crossed, waiting for an answer from her classmate.Just as Miki was about to answer, Reina's voice saved Miki from Yossi's wrath as they both heard a commotion near the entrance of the restaurant.
"Excuse me sir! You have not paid!" Reina chased after a drunkard man who was raggedly dressed in what looked like a white polo-T and faded brown shorts.
"Hmm, Your new here I see. Pretty too, maybe you can.." He said as he walked over to Reina with lustful eyes.
"Sorry about that sir! Hope you enjoyed your dinner tonight."
Reina glared at Eri who came and chase the guy away. "He hasn't paid! And that look he gave me... Gross! How can you let him off just like that?"
Eri looked straight toward the man, who now was walking and cursing quite loudly outside and placed her arm around the shoulder of the younger girl beside her.
"Lesson number one... No matter how irritating and gross THAT guy is, he gets to eat free here. We can't do anything about it until Yoshizawa-san says otherwise."
"He's coming back! what shall we do? We can't hit him with a pan or something can we?"
Reina whispered into Eri's ear with a hint of panic in her voice totally neglecting what Eri had told her. While Eri began frantically looking around for her senpai.

"What are they saying?" Miki and Reina hid behind the door looking at the pair outside. Yossi was now talking to the man who had created the scene in the enterance.
"Can you hear anything?"
"Who IS that?"
"Will you shut up? Who are you anyway, your not supposed to be here you know." Reina hissed angrily as she lost her temper at the older and weirdly dressed stranger infront of her was making a lot of noise with her questionings.
"That’s Yoshizawa-san's father..." Eri said casually as she stood behind the girls.
"Ehh!!" Miki shouted out loud in shock.
"SHhhhh!!" Reina then hushed the older girl while getting overly irritated, she slapped Miki in the head.

Sorry sorry sorry that I took so friggin long... to be honest.. I had my exams, I got stuck halfway thru and.. I got lazy. hehe
Blizzard - I didn't really explain who are the people speaking at the end the ending of chapter 6 here so... it was Reina, Miki and Eri, and they were eves-dropping on Yossi and her dad talking outside. Miki was the one asking all the questions and Reina was the one shushing her.
JFC - Miki stalked Yossi cuz she wanted to know the reason why Yossi was staying with Rika.

Yossi stared at her father and reaches in her pocket for her wallet...

Yossi sat on the ground leaning against the wall in the roof of the school. She was planning to skip all lessons and hang out up there until school ends.
'No wonder Rika-chan loved roof tops, its extremely relaxing.' Yossi looked up at the clear blue sky while enjoying the cool morning breeze.
A few hours later, it was time for lunch break, Yossi snapped out of her thoughts to the sound of footsteps creeping towards her.
"Why do you keep following me?" Yossi said with her eyes closed
'Damn' Miki cursed in her mind, she was trying to sneak towards Yossi and give the girl a scare. She pouted her lips after getting caught and walked to Yossi's side and sat down to join her friend.
"Why weren't you in class."
"Don't feel like going for lessons today."
"Then why come to school?"
"Don't know..."
Silence fell upon the two as Miki ran out of random questions to ask Yossi. One thing was for sure, she had wanted to ask her one particular question really badly and it wasn't any random question. Turning to look at Yossi, Miki opened her mouth to say something but unfortunately no words came out.
Yossi noticed her hesitating and guessed she wanted to ask about yesterday.
"My dad, he's my dad. If that’s what you want to ask."
"I know that, your friend told me..."

"Yoshizawa-san has always been trying to get on her father's good side ever since young..."
Eri looked at Miki who was still staring at Yossi who was outside with her father.
"Why? Isn't she his daughter.. Why is he this way?"
"He hates her, doesn't like the fact that he got a girl instead of a boy... When he finally got a boy, he treated him like he was his everything... Yoshizawa-san used to come over to my place or Goto-san's place to hang out until he went for work to avoid him."
Miki took yet another glance at Yossi, this time with sadness in her eyes.
"You know, she also said that she didn't mind at all as long as her brother was fine..... But that incident... it made matters worst..."
Miki turned to look at Eri, "Incident? What incident?"
"They.."
"Oie... We’re closing, you should go home... You have school tomorrow don't you?"
Out of the corner, Goto walked in and chased Miki out of the place preventing Eri to finish talking.

Yossi waved her hand in front of Miki's face several times,
"Earth to Miki, please come back.."
"Hmm?" Miki shook her head slightly, snapping out of her little flashback.
"You hungry? We could sneak into the canteen for some food."
Changing the subject, Miki decided not to ask Yossi the questions she so badly wanted to know about her secretive friend, not for now at least. She glanced over at Yossi, her eyes was fixed onto the ground completely ignoring Miki. Knowing that Yossi had ran out of money after watching her empty her wallet in front of the guy, Miki offered to treat Yossi to lunch.

Both sat side by side, leaning against the wall and enjoying the warm breeze and each other's company. With the soothing wind blowing at their faces and right after eating lunch it was the perfect moment for taking a nap. Just as Yossi was close to falling asleep she felt something fall on her shoulder, Miki's head. Yossi looked over to her right to see a small face now resting against her shoulder, eyes closed and snoring ever so softly.
A small smile appeared on Yossi's face as she took in the sight of the other girl resting on her shoulder. Yossi then moved slightly and leaned her head back against the wall not wanting to wake Miki from her slumber.
"nee Yocchan.. Why me?" Miki suddenly spoke with a husky voice which made Yossi slightly surprised.
"Huh? Sorry did I wake you?"
"So many students in school, why talk to only me?"
"I guess you remind me of my brother...."

Miki lifted her head from Yossi's shoulder and turn to face her, "Your brother?"
‘Yocchan never mentioned having a brother before..’
"Yea... Irritating and like to ask a lot of questions to bug me but really cute..."
Miki couldn't help but blush at the last comment 'does she mean that she finds me cute too?'
"So.. he's staying at Rikachan's house together with you right?"
There was no reply from the taller girl beside her which made Miki look over at Yossi. Miki soon had regretted asking the question as Yossi now looked down towards the ground, "He pasted away.. last year"
Despite feeling really bad for asking the wrong question, Miki couldn't help but wonder if Yossi's brother's death was the reason to the bad relationship between Yossi and her father.
"Drowned to death and I couldn't save him"
Miki stood quietly and listened to Yossi begin to explain.

The 2 siblings were cycling home from school together. Everyday Yossi would cycle over to her brother's school and cycle back home together with him. Even though she won't step into the house she'd always make sure he reaches home first before she runs off for work.
"Oneechan! Wait up!"
"Yuuki hurry up! I'm going to be late"
Rika walked along the path towards Yossi's house. Yossi had not gone to school that day and so she told her driver to drop her off somewhere near Yossi's place. Rika walked slowly nearing the bridge when Yossi and Yuuki rode right past her.
"Just wait right there I'll be right back ok!"
Yossi turned to face Rika as she shouted to her.
Rika watched the 2 now now cycling at the top of the bridge, she stop dead in her tracks as she watched the scene that was about the happen in horror.
"Yocchan!"
"Oneechan!! Watch out!"
A huge blue truck was moving very unsteadily towards the girl, Yossi had turned to see a horrified looking Rika and Yuuki. Before she could see what was coming, the blue truck swerved to the left and hit Yossi, out of reflex before she got hit Yossi skidded to the left and tried to block Yuuki from the truck. She flew off her bicycle and knocked her hip onto the low railing which caused her to flip over it and fall into the lake. She fell flat on the back on the surface of the water causing a loud and eerie 'SPLAT!', knocked unconscious from the impact, Yossi laid helplessly as she sank into the lake.
Yuuki jumped off his bicycle and looked down to where his sister had fallen. He whimpered the word 'Oneechan' over and over again praying that she would emerge from the surface of the water. He stared at the same spot for what seemed like hours to him hoping for a head to bob out.. Nothing, Yuuki couldn't wait any longer, he climbed over the railing and prepared to jump.
"Yuuki no! You can't swim!!"
Rika sprinted towards the younger boy as fast as she could to stop him from jumping but it was too late, he had already jumped just before Rika could reach over to grab him. This time Rika without thinking dived into the water. Once in the water she searched and searched but she could not see anything as it was too dark underwater, she swam up to the surface for air and went back in to continue her search. Her eyes were hurting, she had sensitive eyes and always had to wear goggles when swimming, then out of the corner of her eyes she saw a dark figure.
'Yocchan.....'
Rika swam towards the body, locked her arms around the neck area of the body and swam up to the surface. Rika swam towards the edge pulling the unconscious Yossi along with her, she tried to push Yossi up to the ground but she was not strong enough. Rika then held on to Yossi's hand as she pushed herself up onto the grass, she then sat on the ground her hand still gripping on to Yossi's tightly, with all her might she pulled Yossi out of the water.
'How to I do CPR... erm I watched it somewhere! Ok ok first pinch her nose and blow into her mouth'
Rika did as she was told in her mind, she kept blowing air into Yossi's mouth hoping to god that the other girl will live.
'Its not working! erm next where am I supposed to pump here?.. or here?'
She was panicking, without knowing where to place her hands she just followed what she saw on TV, even if it was the wrong place or not. After several minutes of Rika's attempt at CPR, Yossi coughed out a ton of water and began breathing again. Relieved at the sight of Yossi breathing, Rika leaned down on to Yossi's chest and sighed,
"Thank god your alive...."
The sound of the ambulance could be heard, Rika had called for help just before she ran towards the scene which made her realise.
'Oh no! Yuuki!'
Rika didn't know what to do, if she went back in, there wouldn't be anyone there to guide the ambulance over. But if she didn't go in for Yuuki he would die. She decided to dived back into the water in search of the other Yoshizawa. Quite sometime later she finally found the smaller body and brought him to the edge as fast as she could, lucky for her this time when she reached the edge there was someone to help her. The paramedics had found Yossi's body. Some of them were already attending to Yossi's unconscious body while the others helped Rika and Yuuki out of the lake.

"Oneechan, Oneechan.... Hitomichan Wake up, when will you wake up..."
"Yuuki-kun, she will be fine.. You should rest too."
Yossi could hear faint sobs of the familiar voices repeating the same thing over and over again.
She tried to open her eyes but it felt like it was stapled on to her, not allowing her to even squint a little. Every part of her body hurt, especially her hip where she had hit the railing and her back. She tried moving but felt something restricting her from any movement and she was still too weak to move. Yossi battled with herself for quite sometime until she got tired and fell into slumber yet again.

Yossi opened her eyes only to close her eyes shut once again, everything was piercing white to her, it was too bright. She moved her head slightly to the right and slowly opened her eyes once more. Colors came into her vision now, blur at first but soon everything became clearer. Rika was sitting right beside her.
"Your awake!"
Rika leaned forward and place her hand on Yossi's cheek, her fingers caressing it. "I thought you'd never wake up" she whispered to Yossi and smiled ever so sweetly at her. Yossi smiled back and brought her hand to her cheeks to hold on to Rika's hand.
Looking around, there was no one else beside her other than Rika. In the most inaudible voice Yossi asked,
"Where’s Yuuki?"

"He died in the hospital, while I was in a coma."
Miki looked confused, ‘but Rikachan saved both of you...’
“But, ho.. How?” Yossi continued, “Doctors said there was still a lot of water left in his body, no one had realized it until he stopped breathing… Drowned internally”
Miki look sympathetically up at Yossi who was now standing, leaning on the edge, gazing into space.
"and my father he just couldn't take it..."

“Ishikawa.. I can't do it, looking at her makes me think of the incident already...”
Rika who just so happened to walk pass the living room over heard the conversation between her father and Yoshizawa-san. She hid in the corner continuing to eves-drop on the conversation.
"I never wanted her from the beginning. Just take her away will you? Your wife deals with this kind of things doesn't she..."
"But Naoki she's still young you can't just abandon her like that."
"That girl is the reason why my boy is gone... I can't"
"How can you say that?! She is your daughter after all! It’s not her fault that he died! What kind of heartless father are you?! "
Before Yoshizawa Naoki could finish his sentence, Rika had stormed out from her hiding place and shouted at the older man. She was absolutely filled with rage and disgust at what Yossi's father was able to say so easily.
"Rika! Stay out of this!"
Rika was stunned, her father has never raised his voice at her before.. ever
"But, but daddy he..."
"I'm serious Rika, Go back to your room right now!"
Rika stared at her father and then turning to give Yossi's father a glare before turning to walk out of the living room towards the staircase leading to the second floor where her room is. Glancing up she saw Yossi sitting at the steps leaning very close to the wall, eves-dropping on the conversation earlier on. Their eyes met for a second before Yossi stood up and limped back to Rika's room. Following Yossi, Rika ran up to the door of her room and slowly opened it to find her sitting at the edge of her bed looking down on the floor with her back facing the door. She had sworn she heard Yossi sobbing softly.
Yossi heard the door open and immediately wiped away the tears that had rolled down her cheeks a moment ago. Rika walked over to Yossi's side and sat beside her.
"Why did you save me? He could have lived if you saved him first."

"Yossi..."
"So.. I'm hungry! School should be over by now, lets go out to eat."
Miki stared blankly at Yossi who turned and walked towards the exit. It was like she was talking to two different persons. Miki continued to follow Yossi with her eyes still looking confused as to how she could change her mood just like that.Yossi picked up her bag from the ground and turned to look at Miki still sitting at the same spot, still staring at her. "You coming?"
“Ye.. Yea, Wait up.”
Miki got up from where she sat and caught up with Yossi. They walked quietly out of the school gates in silence. Yossi was the first to break the silence as she noticed Miki kept looking over at her in a way she found all too familiar.
“Quit looking at me like that… I hate it when people give me that sympathetic look.”
“Sorry… Ah! My bag! Yocchan, it’s in class…“

Maki eyed the pair from the corner who was cleaning the table side by side chatting and laughing together. She was supposed to be taking a nap like she always did before their shift started and let Eri do all the work. This time she had company and they were making a whole lot of noise, well more like just Eri was making the noise.
"If you do it like this and this and then this... See it'll be all clean and sparkly"
Reina just stood there staring and Eri before bursting out laughing.
"Kame-chan your funny!" Reina commented while giggling away.
"Why? What did I say? Ne~ Tanakacchi what’s so funny?" Eri whined but couldn't help smiling at Reina. Eri couldn't believe how fast they had become such good friends, Reina was opening up to her in such a short period of time unlike how long it took for Maki to even start talking to her.
"Kame-chan, the table will still be clean no matter which way I wipe it." Reina struggled to say while giggling away.
'Tanakacchi? Kame? Since when did those two become so close'
"Whatcha looking at" Yossi crept beside her and whispered into Maki's ears, scaring the girl.
"Oie! don't sneak up on me like that."
Maki lifted her head up and pretended to look else where like out the window and at the restaurant entrance, anywhere but at Yossi or what she was staring at a few minutes ago. Yossi leaned forward to look at Maki then look at the entrance and then to Eri and Reina.
"You know you could ask her out..."
Maki just gave her a blank look, "Oh ok.. You have no idea what I'm talking about right? Anyway I'm going off now, boss says your in charge for this week."
"Where you going?"
"I took a week off."
Yossi and the boss of the restaurant, Inaba-san, had a close relationship; she used to be a close friend of Yossi's mother. Ever since her mother's death from cancer she had always treated Yossi as her own daughter. She handed the management of the restaurant staff over to Yossi a year ago, which was why Yossi got to boss Maki and Eri around even though she was just playing around.
"One week? Isn't that a little too long?"
"My art work is due in one week’s time."
And with that Yossi patted Maki on her back before grabbing her bag and walked off towards her bicycle outside, leaving her friend alone in the restaurant for seven long days. Just then Eri walked over to where Maki was sitting while turning around staring at Yossi's back.
"Where is she going? The restaurant is opening soon."
Giving her most devilish smile Maki's eyes found Eri's, making Eri feel really uncomfortable that Yossi was now gone.
"She took leave, I'm in charge this week."
All Eri could do was stare blankly at Maki, her brain screaming for her to run over to Yossi for help. It was going to be a torturous seven days for Kamei Eri so long as Maki was in charge. Eri's workload would probably be doubled for the whole week.
But she still couldn't help but ask with a weak smile, "Your not going to make me do everything are you?"

Yossi stepped into the three story building of the Ishikawa residence, trying to sneak in without getting noticed. Unfortunately that was not going to be possible when a little girl making a lot of noise screaming Yossi's name, the petite little girl dashed to Yossi's side and hugged her tightly.
"Yossi-chan!!! Your home! Your homeee"
'ahh crap should have came in from the back.'
She patted the girl's head before she released herself from the smaller sized girl's grip.
"I’ve missed you Yossi-chan... You don't like Chisato anymore? You always come back when Chisato already sleep." , she whined.
"Of course I do... That’s why I came back early didn't I?" ,Yossi kneeled down and smiled at the sweet little tomboy in front of her.
"Did you cut your hair?"
Chisato's eyes lit up at the fact that her idol noticed her new look even though she didn't like it. "Mama made me go to the hair salon. I don't like it." , she pulled the end of her hair pouting her lips.
Yossi held on to the girls hand and brought it down as she was pulling her hair a little too hard. "kawaii-yo", Yossi replied cheering up Chisato.
"Ahh.. Hitomi-chan, your home early today. Your joining us for dinner?"
An elegant looking lady with short black hair wearing an apron stepped out from the kitchen with two plates in her hand smiling gently at Yossi. Following closely behind was her eldest daughter, Rika.

Dinner was awkward, Rika and Yossi sitting side by side with Rika's mother questioning why they never seemed to talk anymore and recalling how they used to be such close friends. While Chisato did all sorts of actions trying to get the attention of her idol Yossi, resulting with Ishikawa-san losing his temper with his youngest daughter. Yossi on the other hand sat there in silence the whole time.
"Is that one supposed to be a river?"
"Yup"
"Yossi-chan your drawings are weird."
"What’s that? Is that someone's head?"
"mmhmm"
"I like this color here Yossi-chan."
After dinner Yossi had gone up to her room, with Chisato following her, to start on her art work. She tried to concentrate with her work but the questions never seemed to stop coming from Chisato who sat on the bed behind Yossi as she watched the older girl paint. The door then creaked open with Rika's head slowly emerging.
"Chisaa time for bed.." She said softly.
Both Chisato and Yossi looked up at the ‘intruder’, Chisato looking really disappointed that she had to leave Yossi's side while Yossi gave a quick glance at Rika and went back to her painting. Chisato grumpily walked over to the door and said her goodnight, she stopped at the door waiting for her sister to give her room to stalk out of the room. Rika stepped aside letting the younger girl walk past her while in a daze staring at Yossi with guilt washing over her as she asked,
"Is that for the art assignment?"

"Goto senpai seems nice." Reina randomly stated while walking along the stretch of houses as they both walked home together.
'Nice? Gocchin isn't nice... Oww my back'
Eri had spent the whole 6 hours serving irritating customers, whipping the tables and mopping the kitchen floor. The last job assigned to her by Maki who was supposed to help her clean up the large kitchen which was why Eri was at her current state. While Maki took all the simple tasks and at the same time made Reina think she was 'nice'.
They walked up to a fairly fancy looking white apartment building, known as the 'rich side'. Reina had always walked pass the building on the way home envying those who live in the apartment. She sneaked in once, with a swimming pool, tennis courts and many other facilities who wouldn't want to live there. Reina stared at the building with aw and looked at Eri shocked that someone whom she worked with lived in such a place.
"You stay here?" Eri nodded answering Reina's question.
"Why do you still work so hard every night when you stay here?"
"Daddy don't want me to be so dependant on him. But then always tell me not to over stress myself with work. I don't understand him sometimes."
"Oh..", that was all Reina could say.
"Well.. see you at work tomorrow Tanakacchi", Eri said breaking the silence waving her goodbye to Reina before walking off toward the building.
"Wait!", Eri turned looking at Reina waiting for her to continue. "Do you want to go to school together tomorrow? We're in the same school if you didn't notice."
"Eh we’re in the same school? Why didn't you tell me before?"
Reina just smiled at Eri, "I guess I was just invisible to you.. So 7.30 here tomorrow. I'll be waiting!"
She said before dashing away towards her house which was a few blocks down.

Outside Yossi's room stood Rika with her hair wet after her shower with a mug of hot cocoa, while placing her ear on the door and listened for any noise. It was the first time Yossi had come back straight away after school. She felt guilty for submitting the painting that Yossi gave her to pass up as her own, and now Yossi was struggling with her assignment while she got to relax. Suddenly the door swung open as Yossi stepped out. Rika jumped back out of shock and ended up spilling the hot cocoa on her hand, causing her to feel a burning sensation while at the same time dropping the mug on to the ground. Yossi stood there looking dumbfounded watching Rika blowing her hand frantically. Coming to her senses, Yossi quickly took Rika's hand and dragged her to the toilet. Yossi placed Rika's red hand into the sink under the running water at the same time gently caressed the other's hand.
"For a straight A student, you sure are stupid.. Don't you know your supposed to cool it with water? Blowing on it won't help."
Rika didn't say a word but looked painfully at her hand.

"Eririn.. what do you think? Kawaii deshou?"
Michishige Sayumi, Eri's best friend in school questioned her as she tilted her head to one side in a cute manner showing her new earrings. Eri gave a slight laugh before answering her friend assuring her that it was cute.
"So who bought it for you this time?"
"hmm? Oh, well I don't know his name... but it came with this letter"
Sayu took an envelop out of her bag and flashed it to Eri, hoping Eri would probe on to see what was written in it. Unfortunately all Eri did was gave a slight nod and went back to eating her bento, she was used to this already. Sayu had so many admirers in school that Eri had completely lost count on how many free gifts Sayu received from various guys, and Eri also knew that Sayu always had a different excuse to somehow manage to keep the present but not the guy.
"Sayumi-chan, Do you like the earrings? While I was shopping I saw this earring and thought of you... Now seriously, which guy would go shopping? They'd just buy what they want and get out right?... When I think of you, it always makes my heart beat a thousand times faster. You are the most beautiful, sweet and wonderful thing that could have happened to me. It’s great to have you in my heart and... jeez can't he just get straight to the point already?"
Eri nodded her head and then giggled at her friend. This was a normal routine for the girl, present and a confession. If it was face to face, Sayumi would act all cutesy for the guy, get the present and leave him all brokenhearted then report everything to Eri. If it was a letter, she would recite it in front of Eri and comment on everything in it.
"What on earth would happen if someone eventually knocks my dear Sayu off her feet..."
"My dear Eririn... that day will never happen, guys are all after one thing. And I Michishige Sayumi will not give them what they want, but I will make them give me what I want though..."
Sayu gave Eri a wink and a cute sounding giggle while Eri just rolled her eyes at her and shook her head as she turned away.
"Hey Sayumi-chan want to go out tomorrow?", A group of guys walked over to Sayu and so began the flirting battle.
Eri raised an eyebrow at the scene in front of her; five guys surrounded the girl whom she was just talking with. Sayu played with her hair while chatting with the guys, laughing at their jokes and touching their arms every once in a while, totally ignoring Eri who was still seated right beside her. Again she was used to this but sometimes she wished the guys would at least spare some of their attention to her once in a while.
'Maybe its because of my short hair? But then Yossi said it looked cute and that she liked it, stupid Gottchin didn't say a word though...'
Just as Eri let her thoughts conquer her mind, she spotted someone familiar walk past her classroom. She stood up and walked out leaving Sayu alone with the guys, not that Sayu would notice her gone anyway. Eri quickened her pace as she caught up with the other girl, and then jumped right in front of the younger girl.
"Tanakacchi~ where are you going...", Eri's voice trailed away softly the moment she caught the look on the younger's face. Reina looked angry, more like pissed off.
"Home", she mumbled under her breath.
Eri reached over to touch the side of Reina's face somewhere near her cheekbone causing the younger to back away a little, there was a red mark on her face. It was pretty obvious that she got hit on the face by something hard, like someone's fist.
"What happened?", Eri asked worriedly.
Eri turned to look at what Reina was glaring at. A boy of from Reina's class, pretty badly beaten up was struggling to stand up as he looked over at their direction. Eri's eyes widened at the sight then turned back staring at the smaller sized girl in front of her, if Eri guess right, Reina had just beaten up one of the guys in her class.
"What? He kept bugging me... I got pissed off that’s all.."
"That’s all?"
"Oi Reina!" Eri turned to look at the person who shouted her friend's name while Reina tilted her head sideways also to look at the person.
"You had better come back and apologies to Irie-kun!" A group of girls stalked towards the two with death glares raging with anger since Reina had somehow managed to injure the handsome prince of their class.
"ah-a.. You’re in trouble now..."
Eri looked back and forth between Reina and the girls who were quickly approaching them, the noise they made in the hall way attracted quite a lot of attention at the same time. Everyone from the other classes popped their head out to see the commotion, so did Sayu who looked confusedly at Eri. As the group of girls stomped closer and closer to the two, Eri began to panic for Reina
Reina grabbed Eri's hand and made a run for it, down the staircase, outside of the school giving a sharp turn to the corner of the school building in a very narrow area just enough space for the two girls to hide out in. Reina was panting the moment they got to the narrow little space while Eri, who had a better stamina, just stood there staring at the younger. Why did Reina drag Eri along? She didn't help her beat up the guy.
"Why did you beat up the guy in the first place?", Eri questioned as she took a peek outside to see if the group of crazy girls caught up with them.
"I told you, he was bugging me." Reina replied seated down leaning against the wall taking a rest from all that running.
"You know if you sit right after you run, your butt will grow bigger."
'huh? What a random thing to say..' Reina stared at Eri slightly confused.
"So then why was he bugging you?" Eri then continued probing while sitting beside Reina.
Reina kept quiet for a few seconds before answering, she didn't want Eri to think she was such a dork. "He kept talking to me, asking me for my number and then asking me to go out with him." Reina half whispered.
Eri just stared blankly at the younger girl beside of her, kind of shocked at how the latter dealt with guys. She was a complete opposite of Sayu. Knowing Sayu if the most handsome guy in the class was bugging her to go out with him, she'd surely go out with him in a snap of the finger and then feed him to the vultures the moment she gets bored with him. Reina on the other hand, gave him a though time from the beginning.
The more Eri thought about it the more funny it seemed which made Eri burst out laughing.
"Tanakacchi.. kowaii.." She managed to cough out those two words in between her laughs.
"Why? I don't know how to handle situations like that, what would you do then?"
The question made Eri stop laughing and look at Reina. "I wouldn't know, no one's asked me before." Eri replied as she looked elsewhere.
Come to think of it, no guy has ever pestered Eri for a date or a phone number, not even a single gift during Valentines Day. Maybe standing in the shadows of Sayu was the reason for her unpopularity amongst the guys.
"Uso!.. Not even one? Even when you’re so beautiful?"
"Eh?"
The comment made Eri's ears burn and cheeks turn red, she looked back down on the floor when she noticed Reina staring at her.

After 2 hours of just chatting and enjoying each others company, not to mention skipping lessons, both returned to their classes just when the final bell rang. Lucky for them the teachers had already left the class. Reina received death glares from pretty much all the girls in her class as they walked pass her while she approached her table, some knocking hard with their shoulders as they walked past her. Eri on the other hand stepped into an almost empty class, with the exception of Sayu who was seated on Eri's table waiting for her with Eri's bag placed on her lap.

Rika turned around from her position to take yet another peek at Yossi sound asleep on the bed. A little smile appeared on her face as she returned to the painting in front of her. Even after getting yelled at to mind her own business the previous night, Rika just couldn't help but feel responsible for the overdue painting Yossi own Iida-sensei. Which was why she was now finishing up the painting for the sleeping beauty laying peacefully on the bed.
"Done.." She whispered to herself as she stood up.
She walked over to the table, scribbled something on a piece of paper. Taking a piece of tape, sticking the paper on to the canvas and quietly left the room.

Jeez how long has it been since my last chapter? Sorry for the long wait! If you guys haven't noticed.. I'm a darn slow writter, and now I'm totally stuck (somewhat) Which is why I focused on TanaKame more in this chapter. Just hope I don't lose track and turn this into a TanaKame fic, the main character of the fic is Yossi!.. gotta remind myself that every once in a while.

Yay for more Rika and Yossui! First with the burnt hand, then with Rika finishing Yossui's painting. They were so sweet! I'm totally looking forward to more of those two!

Anyways, I hope you're not too stuck with this. It seems to be going around, huh? But that's ok. Just take your time and write when you want to. "Ok girls that’s it for today's training! Cool down before you leave and I'll see you next week."
The group of girls bowed their head thanking their coach in unison as the coach returned the bow and left walking towards the bench. The girls began their cooling down jog, two rounds around the futsal court under the hot sun during noon time. But among the girls there was one who looked pretty upset.

Miki sighed as she closed her locker and stepped out of the locker room with her bag, slinging it over her shoulder. Just when she reached the school gates, she felt a light tap on the shoulders from behind.
'She didn't come, even after all my endless effort of persuading her. I know she wants to, she always had that look on her face when she saw us playing. That look of envy...'
"Miki-chan what's wrong?"
"You don't seem like your usual Miki-sama self today.."
"Oh Rika-chan, Tsuji-chan.." Miki said as she turned to see the two girls whom she always went home with after futsal training every week.
"What are you talking about? Nothing's wrong. And Tsuji! The pass you gave to me just now was weak! But its ok I forgive you... this time."
Miki flashed the two a wide grin while she said her last words. Rika looked at Miki and smiled, the girl was hiding her feelings behind that cute smile of hers again.
"Ok so what bothering you this time?" Rika asked.
"Nothing.."
Rika looked away slightly irritated that Miki wouldn't speak her mind and just continued walking with Miki. Silence soon fell upon the two who were walking together on the way home, both lost in a pool of their own thoughts but both thinking of a similar topic. Tsuji on the other hand had been ranting away with all sorts of complaints about the training and her situation in class.
"...Do you know there's a place selling THE best yakiniku in the whole world! They marinate the meat really well its awesome! Mako-chan also loves the place, I went with her and...", Tsuji began talking about her most favorite topic, food.
"Are you talking about that restaurant down the street? The one beside the chinese restaurant, with a
sign above it showing the yakiniku grill?" Miki said almost screaming out in excitement, interrupting
Tsuji's little self-chat.
"Ya ya, a-re a-re!"
"Umai right? When you cook the meat the juices and all... ahhh! Saiko. Rika-chan next time we go together ok? It's really really reallllyy umai."
There was only one thing that could brighten up Miki's day and that was yakiniku, just talking about it would make her all happy again let alone eating it.
"Yea yea Rika-chan we should go together someday ok? I'll treat." The youngest of the three said excitedly at the thought of going back to the restaurant for a meal.
"Ok", Rika said with a smile showing Tsuji the 'OK' sign with her right hand.
"Yatta!!!" Tsuji jumped up and down, pulling Miki along and making a turn all at the same time. Skipping down the narrow street which leads to both Miki and her houses, Tsuji turned to look at Rika waving her arm vigorously.
"Bye bye Rika-chan~"
Miki released herself from the currently lunatic girl while glaring annoyingly at her, Tsuji on the other hand didn't bother about Miki and continued her skip home.
"Rika-chan... is Yocchan home?"
"Eh? I don't know..."
Rika looked straight ahead, a few blocks down, to look for a light brown mountain bike locked around
a lamp post before returning her attention back to Miki.
"Her bicycle is not there, so I doubt it."
"Oh ok then.. See you on Monday." sounding a little disappointed, Miki waved goodbye to her friend and walked away in the opposite direction.

Maki sat at the corner of the staff room watching the pair with arms folded and a fierce glare, she seemed to be doing this quite often recently. She watched in disgust at the sight in front of her as Reina sat on Eri's lap while Eri's arms unconsciously wrapped itself around the younger girl's waist as they chatted away. The two of them have become such close friends in such a short time, it pissed Maki off a little, coming to work together, leaving together, doing almost anything and everything together.
The past few day has been torture for her without Yossi to fool around with making time go by extremely slowly. And adding on to that, she had come to realize that she have begun to have feelings for a certain girl. A girl who she had never paid much attention to in the past, a girl who was now suddenly becoming really close to another girl, at the same time she was beginning to ignore Maki completely.
"There's a spare seat here, why can't she sit here." Maki mumbled angrily to herself.
"Cuz this seat's reserved for me you ass" Yossi who came in from the back, crept behind Maki making the younger jump from her seat, scaring her as usual, and sat down right beside her buddy.
"jeez will you stop sneaking up on me like that? What are you doing here anyways? Don't you have four days left from your week's break?"
"Seriously... If you like someone gotta go right up to her and tell her straight. Wasn't that what you used to tell me?" Yossi replied, totally ignoring all of Maki's questions
Maki felt like she was being made fun of, and by Yossi none the less. Her best friend who up till now, have probably never confessed her true feelings to anyone before with the exception of Rika. And even then it was Rika who made the first move with Yossi. Maki used to tease the girl saying that exact same phrase Yossi had just said to her.
'When did I become the lovesick puppy?' Maki thought to herself as her eyes followed the girl who was at the other corner of the room, now whipping the tables and placing the menu in the box getting the place ready for opening.
"I'll help you out, give you chances to talk her ok? Don't disappoint me."
With that Yossi stood up and began walking over to the two girls, not even bothering to wait for an approval from her buddy. Maki grabbed onto Yossi's arm pulling her back down to her seat, "Don't... even think about it." She warned before standing up, jogging over to the entrance to flip the "WELCOME" sign.

Nearing 3 in the morning as Eri slowly strolled out of the building while waiting for Reina. She sat on the nearby bench as she looked into the restaurant pub, Reina was still having a casual chat with Yossi.
Maki was about to cycle home when she saw Eri sitting on the bench looking like she was waiting for someone. This was it, this could be her chance to actually talk to Eri, not that she didn't talk to the girl before. But recently when ever Maki was around Eri she couldn't seem to think straight and ended up giving her the cold shoulder.
"Erm.. Eri? Need.. a ride? I.. I'll send you home." Maki said as she leaned her bicycle sideways, signaling Eri to get on the passenger seat. Why was she stammering all of a sudden? Its not like it's the first time Maki was sending Eri home on her bicycle.
"Eh.." Eri took a glance over at Reina who was still back inside chatting with Yossi, "What about Reina?"
"Reina? She can go home with Yossi or something. Hurry up and just hop on." Maki tried to sound cool, but the truth was that her heart was pounding at the thought of Eri sitting so close behind her.

Yossi walked lazily up the stairs towards her room stopping right at her door step, she turned her head
to glance over at the room beside hers.
'Thank you.. Just say thank you.'
Her legs moved slowly towards the doorstep of the room, She placed her hand on the door knob, but for somehow it was extremely difficult for the tall boyish girl to just open the door and blurt out a simple 'Thank you'. It seems, Yossi had gotten used to treating Rika the way she has, always ignoring the older, giving her the cold shoulder and not talking to her at all. So used to it that just the two most simple words to say, took a whole lot of courage to say.
Yossi suddenly jumped away running to the toilet for cover as the door had opened by itself with the sleepy looking owner of the room walking out, going down to get a glass of water. Giving up, Yossi walked back to her room burring herself onto her bed drifting off to slumber.

Actually it's not that hard. I just right click on the "REPLY" tag at the top of the thread and open it up in a new tab. Then I just move back and forth between tabs, copy and pasting as I need to. I like to reply as I read, instead of reading the whole thing and then replying after I finish it. It allows me to give my initial, "gut" instinctual reaction to the parts as I read them.

Maki sat at the corner of the staff room watching the pair with arms folded and a fierce glare, she seemed to be doing this quite often recently. She watched in disgust at the sight in front of her as Reina sat on Eri's lap while Eri's arms unconsciously wrapped itself around the younger girl's waist as they chatted away. The two of them have become such close friends in such a short time, it pissed Maki off a little, coming to work together, leaving together, doing almost anything and everything together.
Oooooooooh, someone's getting just a wee bit jealous! :hee:
"Seriously... If you like someone gotta go right up to her and tell her straight. Wasn't that what you used to tell me?" Yossi replied, totally ignoring all of Maki's questions

A work of art, many different colors surrounded a beautifully realistic painting of a girl looking in a distance. It almost looked like millions of pictures opening up a hole to uncover a big picture of a single person looking out of the hole.
Yossi sat crossed legged in the middle of the bed fiddling with her favorite mini sized soccer ball as she stared at the painting in front of her. She had been sitting there for a couple of hours before her door burst open with Maki walking through the door.
"Come on we're going out today!"
"huh?"
"Wow.... That’s a really nice painting." Maki said as she sat at the corner of the bed, beside Yossi.
"Yea.. I know.."
Maki glanced over at Yossi with a hint of confusion, there was something odd about her tone. Brushing it aside Maki ignored Yossi's reply, all she wanted to do at that time was hang out with her best buddy.
"So, get changed. We're going out."
"What's wrong with what I'm wearing now?"
Maki scanned Yossi's outfit for the day, nothing was wrong with her current dressing. A small white t-shirt with brownish-red words written on the front similar to the designs of a whiskey bottle, and white burms with thin grey vertical stripes which Maki had seen countless times now.
"Right... Nothing's wrong. Let's go then"
Yossi tossed Maki the ball before reluctantly rolling off the bed. Grabbing a belt which hung on the door of her cupboard and a thin black jacket, the tall lanky girl walked lazily out of the room while she fastened her belt around her waist.

Inside a little cafe near town, the atmosphere pretty pleasant and fairly quiet until a roar of laughter was heard from the corner of the cafe. Two girls sat at the corner window seat, one laughing while leaning back against the cushioned seat, the other stared blankly at her friend who attracted all the attention towards their table.
"Your Kidding?!" Yossi blurted out loud as she went into a laughing fit.
"Man I helped you out by pulling Reina away from her and this is how you take your chance? How much of a coward have you turned into?"
Maki glared at her friend who was clutching on her stomach, laughing her ass off. Shouldn't have told her, she knew Yossi would make fun of her, she knew she'd make herself sound like an extreme coward. But yet Maki told Yossi, after all she was her closest friend.
"O.. Ok let me-let me get this straight, you sent her home... Then that’s it? No kiss? No 'Eri I like you'.. What happened to the Gottsuan I know who used to be able to date three girls at one go?"
"First off, two of them asked me out and it turned out to be on the same day, and the last girl.. She was flirting with me while I was on one of those dates, and besides she was hot. Second, Eri is not like them.... I... she"
Maki once again felt stupid, honestly, what happened to the Maki who used to be able to get any girl she wanted to have? Maki gave Yossi disappointed frown, she was hoping her best friend would be understanding and give her some advice or cheer her up at least, at the same time she found this scene extremely familiar.

Rika's face grew tomato red as she stared at Maki who was rolling on the floor laughing away after hearing Rika explain what happened.
"Ok so let me get this right, you kissed her.. when she was talking about cars none the less, and then you ran away? Jeez couldn't you be anymore discreet about it?"
"I.. I couldn't help it, Yocchan was... well.."

"She's what?" Yossi interrupted Maki's little walk down memory lane.
"uh, she's different"
"different?... I’ve known her as long as you do, how different can she be."
Looking out the glass window, Maki found it hard to explain how she felt about Eri. What she felt was something different, something she has never felt before. Up till now, Maki had never really cared about the other girls whom she used to date. It was easy to ask those girls out, because Maki had never once bothered if she'd get rejected. If she did get rejected, which rarely happens, all Maki would do is move on and hunt down her next target. This time she didn't want that to happen, she didn't want Eri to avoid her or turn her down. This time Maki was really afraid of rejection.
Yossi lowered her head to look up amusingly at her friend from a lower angle, she never thought Gottusan would ever come to feel this much about anyone. Yossi gave a slight chuckle; the thought of Maki being in love was pretty amusing to her.
"You really care for her don't you? Your afraid she'll stop talking to you. Your actually afraid of getting dumped by Kamei Eri aren't you."

Yossi stood leaning out slightly over the edge of her favorite relax spot on the roof of the school, looking up at the clear blue sky while unknowingly humming to a song that she had stuck in her head. The countless number of times that the restaurant played the song caused Yossi to actually memorize the lyrics, regardless of not knowing what it means.
School sure was boring, sometimes Yossi would just wish she could quit school and start working already. "Since there's just a little less then one year before we graduate, why not just get it over and done with?" That was what Maki would tell her, even though Yossi knew for a fact that Maki felt the exact same way about school as she did.
Yossi did a scan of the surroundings below the her,
a bunch of guys running around chasing each other playing a little game of rugby tackling one another for fun and occasionally smacking each other on the head also for fun,
'ha.. boys, when will they ever mature? But that looks kind of fun though..... iinaa'
a group of girls giggling at the sight of the playful guys and chatting away about something that’s probably totally not important in life,
'Ok THAT is boring.. '
two figures with their uniforms almost slipping off them, lips locked together and doing a couple of other things at the corner of the building where no one, but Yossi, could see them,
'Ucck... jeez can't they get a room or something? Hope a teacher catches them red handed, seeing their reactions might be fun.'
and finally a group of girls crowding around something or someone, one of them kicking that figure on the ground while the others laugh away.
'damn bullies, well... not my problem.'

Miki sat looking around her surroundings with a hand on her cheeks supporting her head and elbow on the table top in the canteen, she seemed to be waiting for someone. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted the person who was supposed to be meeting her fifteen minutes ago. Miki waved her arm grabbing the attention of the girl.
"Rika-chan osoiyo! You're the one who said you wanted to see me during break time, and your late."
Miki looked up at the girl who was slightly older than her with a pretty threatening glare.
"I.. I just got too caught up in literature that I forgot it was break time. Gomen-ne?"
"Why is there dirt marks on your skirt anyways?"
"Eh? Oh I... I fell down on my way here. You see Mikitty! I rushed here as fast as I could!"
Rika replied as she brushed her skirt, getting rid of the brown patch that stained her uniform.
"Whatever, so what is it you want to see me for?"
Rika slide her hand into her blazer pocket and pulled out what looked like rectangular shaped papers and showed to Miki. She made it look like a fan shape like whenever one paper is slanted behind another, to show two of the same pieces of paper. Miki gave a frown and squinted just a little trying to make out the tiny dark words that were printed on the paper.
"Daddy bought them but didn't want them anymore. I don't feel like watching it either and I thought you like this type of movies so.. Here."
Rika stretched her arm forward to give the confused looking Miki the pair of movie tickets. Miki stared back and forth from the tickets in front of her to Rika's face. Why on earth was Rika give HER tickets to some movie anyways?
"But I don't like going to movie theaters, it's such a hassle. Why couldn't you give me the DVD instead.. My bed is so much more comfortable then that chair.. And those places are cold too, I like to snuggle up in bed under the blankets and watch movies.."
Rika rolled her eyes at the whiner in front of her. Here she was being nice, trying to help and this was the so called 'thanks' she gets?
"You know, you could go ask Yossi out for a movie."
And with that few magic words, Miki's eyes lit up brightly. That’s right, she could ask Yossi out! A chance to get closer to the most intriguing person Miki has ever laid her eyes on. Now why didn't Miki think of THAT?

"Pleaseeee, Yocchan-san.. it's just a movie! Go with me, I got this spare ticket and.. and"
"I don't want to, it's such a hassle to get dressed up and take a bus to town. Besides, I probably have work on that day."

Yossi looked down surprisingly at the small, extremely sad looking face of the Miki. It almost seemed like she was about to cry. She never expected Miki to give up so fast. Normally she would plead Yossi with a sweet yet slightly childish voice that she purposely makes until Yossi finally agrees or until the younger gets angry and cycle's away. She must really want to go if she's looking this sad.
"Fine, if you really want to go that badly.. I could get someone to replace me."
Miki looked up at Yossi and gave her the widest and most delighted grin one could show.
"Yatta! So next saturday, we'll meet at 2, at the bus stop ok? Lets go to class now, we're going to be late!"
Miki skipped away from the taller girl all happy again as she headed for the stairs leading down to the class rooms.
Yossi blinked at the sudden change in Miki's mood. Did Miki just trick her into agreeing to go? Making a mental note not to fall for such a trick again, Yossi reluctantly walked back to the place she hated the most. The class room.

'I'm doing the right thing, I'm doing the right thing.... Helping Miki-chan be with Yocchan might be a good thing for Yocchan. She probably doesn't have feelings for me anymore, she's doesn't want to talk to me, she doesn't even want to look at me. It hurts to know that, it really hurts a lot, but I would rather see her back to her happy self then to see her shutting herself out from people and keeping everything to herself all the time. I think it is time I should move on, and the first thing I'll do is get her to move on from the past. Maybe Miki-chan can help her.... I'm doing the right thing.'
A tear rolled down Rika's cheeks as she scurried back to her class. The thought of losing someone so precious to another girl, and actually becoming the person who decides to help this other girl get her most precious being, shattered her already broken heart. But the strong girl put up a brave front and continued with her daily routines.
