A Red Deer teacher is calling on Telus Corp. to cancel a new service allowing porn to be downloaded to cellphones.
Jenny Devore, a Westpark Middle School teacher, fears children will access the pornographic photos and images that cost an average of $3 to $4 each. (http://www.reddeeradvocate.com/portals-code/list.cgi?paper=107&cat=59&id=823871&more=)

Is this just me or am I thinking that people over there are too dependent on laws to raise their children? Talk about responsible parenting.

why would you download porn on your phone in the first place, its not like your gonna drop your pants during a lecture and start doing your own deeds.
seriously thou, wouldn't the parents be able to know when their kids download pornographic material on their phone? like on the phone bill saying "_____________ BARES ALL!!! $3.99"

If kids do DL porn onto their cellphones, they'll show up on the monthly bill that's sent to their parents (because we all know that most kids these days don't/can't pay their own bills). Once the parents see the DL's on the bills, boom, loss of phone privelages/grounding/etc. If the parents don't care and turn the other cheek, then they're irresponsible parents. If the kids are able to pay for their cell phone bills, then as long as they aren't watching it and jerkin' off in class, I don't really care.
