Recent documents show that Anne Frank's dad had US connections and attempted unsuccessfully to move to the States from Nazi-occupied Netherlands.

On retrospect, if ever they did manage to immigrate to U.S., Anne's Diary won't ever be made on the first place, and won't be written into 75 million copies of books.

Yes, I guess it's comforting to think that at least you're diary will be a bestseller when you're dying at a concentration camp...
