Classic hard rock band Deep Purple is warning fans against buying a newly released live album, which lead singer Ian Gillan has described as one of the British band's worst performances. (http://www.cbc.ca/arts/music/story/2007/02/27/deep-purple-album.html)

I'm not the biggest fan of Deep Purple, but I have to applaud Gillan for doing this. Goes to show that at least bands have some control over what goes out, and won't be released just for a quick cash-in. On the other hand, if the band was in turmoil at the time, I guess it would be interesting to listen to, if only once.
